One day, a giant white orb is spotted approaching Remnant.
No one knows what it is or why it's coming to them, but what is known that it is approaching Remnant at rapid speeds, going fast enough to shatter the entire planet in one single strike.
Everyone on Remnant goes into panic mode as the strange meteorite approaches Remnant, sending the Grimm into a bloodthirsty frenzy because of it. People hunker down, preparing for the end to come.
And yet, when the mysterious sphere finally arrives around Remnant, it stops, and does something incredible:
It pulls Remnant's shattered moon back together.
Then, it breaches Remnant's atmosphere and suddenly stops over the Valerian countryside, simply hovering there as a massive Forest of Light begins to form around it, terraforming the landscape into a verdant paradise as a massive Tree of Silver Wings grows from the surface of the ground beneath it.
The Traveller has arrived to Remnant.
Many years later, a veritable golden age has graced Remnant. The natural lifespan of a human and Faunus has tripled, and the Grimm have been pushed back to the farthest reaches of the kingdoms' borders. New sciences and technologies have been developed, such as androids like Penny and her siblings Nickel, Quarter, and Dime, and the ability to leave Remnant's atmosphere, making colonisation of Remnant's moon and the other planets in its solar system possible. Meanwhile, new medicines and procedures to enhance and prolong one's life. The secrets to immortality are slowly being unlocked.
And elsewhere, the Rose family, composed of Summer Rose, Taiyang Xiao Long, Raven Branwen, Qrow Branwen, Yang Xiao Long, and Ruby Rose are the most powerful and influential family in Remnant's politics, due to their role as the Traveller's Speakers.
As it turns out, Silver-Eyed Warriors have a uniquely powerful connection to the Light, and this allows them the chance to both commune with the Traveller and the Light, and to channel and control a fraction of the Light itself, giving them the ability to terraform their surroundings and interact with nature itself.
As such, Silver-Eyed Warriors have become some of the biggest leading figures on Remnant, and Summer Rose have been made into de facto royalty for it. Taiyang has been made into Summer's consort alongside Raven and Qrow Branwen, the two siblings becoming the official guards of Yang and Ruby, the former being the equivalent of a duchess with dreams of becoming a great adventurer across the solar system, and the latter wishing to become the next Speaker of the Traveller and save Remnant from the Grimm once and for all.
The Rose family have made their home in the new Kingdom of Lux, the civilisation that has formed in the Forest of Light, around the Traveller and the Tree of Silver Wings, and become its rulers. They stand as the most powerful of Remnant's kingdoms, from Atlas to Vale. Within Lux is Shelter Academy, the sixth kingdom's primary Huntsman academy with Maria Calavera, another Silver-Eyed Warrior as its headmistress.
Meanwhile, Menagerie, which was recognised as the fifth kingdom long before Lux had been formed, with Sienna Khan being the headmistress of Bunker Academy, Menagerie's Huntsman academy, has the Belladonna family as its heads, with the Daughter of the heads of state, Blake Belladonna, working alongside Weiss Schnee of the Schnee Technologies corporation and her Faunus cousin Ilia Amitola, to create a new line of technologies together to better the lives of everyone on Remnant and its Luna colony and outposts across the system, whilst also becoming friends with the Rose family and slowly growing to become the next leading figures across Remnant.
However, things are not as rosy as they seem for the world. When Menagerie became the fifth kingdom, the White Fang was dissolved as its leaders, being Ghira Belladonna and Sienna Khan moved into civilian administration and the Huntsman circles. This left many radicals within the former White Fang without a cause for them to rally around, and they ended up venturing out into the world on their own.
But soon, those radicals would find a leader into Adam Taurus, and would form into the House of Fang, a violent terrorist faction that would go on to pose a threat to all kingdoms, especially with the assistance of new, terrible allies:
The Fallen.
As it turns out, an alien race known as the Eliksni has followed the Traveller to Remnant, and many of their numbers have moved onto the world and its moon. Whilst many Eliksni have moved into the kingdoms, with some of them even joining the Rose family in forming the House of Rose, many others have turned to violence in the face of persecution from Remnant's native population, making up a vast majority of the House of Fang's numbers, whilst others have become nothing more than Houseless pirate crews, serving as bandits and enforcers for various criminal organisations.
Elsewhere, other threats were beginning to show themselves. On the moon, the Luna colonists find themselves braving attacks from the Vex, a liquid species piloting mechanical frames, that had inserted themselves into Luna's timeline and beginning the process of vex-forming the moon into a massive Vex engine to perfect their simulations on Aura, Semblances, and the Light.
Down on Remnant, the Grimm would once again emerge as a threat, beginning to strike out against the Kingdoms and their holdings. But now, these Grimm have been changed, and many of them have been augmented with new, foreign technology that shimmers with Resonant energies. Amongst these Grimm are the Psions, a race of alien telepaths that have been corrupted by both Resonant energies and the pools of Darkness into becoming Grimm/Psion hybrids known as the Binders and serving as commanders and frontline combatants for the Grimm.
And deep in Remnant's shadows, the secret war between Ozpin and Salem would threaten to explode into something so much more destructive as a new threat in the form of the Hive would fester and grow.
An unholy alliance would begin to form as Salem would commune with a voice deep in the Darkness, planning for a collapse to fall across Remnant.
And far away from Remnant's solar system, the Black Fleet would begin their approach, ready to bring about the Final Shape and drown the entire universe in the deep...
