"There's a pool party at Sonia's place… I was thinking, you'd probably love to join"
"Huh? Me?"
It was a game session night. Hajime, wearing only a light brown shirt and blue shorts, sat in front of his desk. He had a headset on and held a controller in both hands. Chiaki was in her room at the end of the other line.
The gamer girl was wearing kitty pajamas. Instead of a controller, she had a keyboard and mouse set, a more professional-looking pair of headphones, and a good-quality microphone.
"Yeah, you'll have fun with everyone, they've been asking me if I was going to invite you, all my class is excited to have you there"
Hajime's character stood in motion for a second as he, behind the screen had to process what the ultimate gamer had just said.
"Huh… I… Uhm, really?"
"Yup. Kazuichi can't stop talking about having matching swimsuits. Mahiru even bought a new swimsuit once the possibility of inviting you rolled around. Ibuki helped her; she was super excited, too! Nekomaru is even considering special training just for you in the pool." The gamer responded, moving her finger at a light speed around the keyboard as she spoke, killing any enemy nearby while casting a protection shield on her motionless partner.
The reserve course student felt something warm inside his chest at his friend's response. Hearing the sound of the action unfolding, he finally began to move again, pressing buttons on his controller to cast skills to burn the upcoming enemies.
"Maybe… I'll join, if you guys really want me to be a part of it, I don't see why not"
Chiaki's eyes perked up. "Really? That's good… I bought a new swimsuit too so… I'm quite excited for you to see it, and tell me what you think of it"
Her giggles made him lose concentration, so that opening was enough for the enemies to finally kill both their characters and send them back to the dungeon's entrance, but they didn't care.
Hajime had a big blush on his face, scratching the back of his head while at the end of the other line, Chiaki hugged her knees and spun around her chair in joy.
"Yeah… I'd love to see it"
The two of them decided to quit the game for today, and just enjoy the night talking about the upcoming pool party.
The day of the party was one of Hajime's best days ever. Everyone welcomed him with open arms, there were board games, food, and even music by the hands of Ibuki which ended up being swapped by Mahiru at the third song.
Swimming with everyone, playing games in the middle of the pool, lifting Chiaki on his shoulder to wrestle Kazuichi who carried Ibuki on his, sharing a good meal with everyone around, and ending the day with board games in a circle sharing laughs and stories as they play, creating memories that would last forever.
But most importantly for him, the time spent with Chiaki, not only did she look beautiful in that two-piece swimsuit she bought, but she also seemed happy, her class made her happy, spending time with Hajime makes her happy.
Whenever she smiles as happy as that, it's the most beautiful sight Hajime could've ever witnessed, it's a memory that will forever last within him.
Mahiru didn't miss the chance to commemorate the moment with pictures of the event, Kazuichi losing an arm wrestling showdown with Akane, Nekomaru teaching swimming techniques to Peko, Ibuki playing her guitar as Hiyoko danced, Chiaki eating noddles with Mikan next to her eating an egg sandwich, Fuyuhiko laughing at Hajime for opening a soda can that splurt all over his face, Teruteru cooking the meals from afar waving at Mahiru, Nagito sitting at the edge of the pool having a conversation with Ryota(?), Gundham teaching Sonia how Champ-P can do a mortal backflip.
All these moments are captured forever in a single click of a camera, but the most important was taken before everyone had to leave, the picture of everyone together by the edge of the pool.
A copy was shared with everyone, and Hajime decided to do something special about it, putting it in a frame on his desk, so he could always remember this special day.
But now, that frame lay on the ground, broken and splattered with blood.
The room of the reserved student was now a bloody mess as undead creatures forced their way inside the home and began to feed on the family members one by one, there was nothing left but walking corpsed that destroyed every single corner of the house in their hunt for each of the individuals that lived in this house.
Outside was no better, the chaos unfolded as people tried to run away from these beasts but it didn't matter where they tried to run, one would show up out of nowhere grabbing them with unbelievable strength and once they were caught there was no escape.
Many were trying to fight back, hitting them with bats or pipes but they have proven to be very resistant, anyone who tried to attack without a plan ended the same way, surrounded by them without hope.
People who tried to escape on vehicles would end up two different ways, either in a crash by another car desperate to escape, or their vehicles taken away from them not caring what or who was inside on the backseat.
Those who managed to escape in their cars didn't have better luck, many tried to jump into the vehicle desperate to get away or the roads would end up blocked forcing them to leave cars behind provoking more roadblocks.
Some people didn't care and drove through it all, whether they were undead or people alive they didn't care.
The city was soon in chaos, it was a battle for survival, and the numbers of these creatures only increased by the seconds, more and more these things continued feeding on the living tainting the streets with red.
The chaos rapidly spreading found its way towards Hope's Peak. First entering through the reserve course and quickly putting students to an end, the undead invaded the entirety of the campus, starting the feast.
Students on the floor begging for mercy from the depredators that feed on the insides of their stomachs, people running away leaving others behind, and those who tried to help ended up with a weight that led them to their deaths as these creatures continued to spread at a fast rate converting students into those things too.
Those who previously were bitten, the bodies of the eaten ones, stood up again, spreading the disease by targeting those who once they called their peer, their friends.
Many taking them off guard, those who hugged the bodies of their loved ones would soon meet their end the moment the lifeless bodies opened their eyes once more. There was no remorse, nor guilt from the creatures, just a cannibalism instinct to keep feeding on their flesh despite their cries.
Students who managed to avoid the infected hid in the classrooms, but once they were spotted the creatures wasted no time on breaking the doors down, those who desperately wanted to avoid being bitten at any cost wasted no time to jump off the window no matter what floor they were at.
It was madness, the reserve course soon would be overwhelmed and the cries and pleas mixed with all the chaos within the city.
Hajime, Natsumi, and Sato, the first three reserve students who managed to leave early were running away as fast as they could but the noise from the undead became louder as their numbers increased, the door previously locked is now down.
The undead walked out of the reserve course now, right on the front; converted students who roared in hunger, marching towards the main course.
"Quick! Quick! Quick!" Natsumi hurried, running behind Hajime who ran behind Sato.
The three made their way to the entrance where a guard stopped them on their tracks, a tall muscular green-haired man of dark skin with red eyes.
"Oi! No reserve course students allow-"
"There's no time for that!" A desperate Sato yelled, grabbing him by the shirt. "Those things are heading this way!"
Annoyed by this action the guard pushed her away with his arm.
"Keep your hands off me you crazy bitch! Speak clearly!"
"Stop!" Hajime stepped in, and that action caused the guard to glare at him, in return he glared back but didn't back down despite the noticeable size difference. "Sakakura, there's no time for that, people… People are eating each other, and it's spreading! They're heading this way!"
"Don't call me so casually by my last name, scum, you have a pretty big nerve to show your face in front of me again, even more, to spread nonsense like that" Sakakura said getting angrier.
"It's not nonsense! Look behind!" The boy moved aside, letting the guard see the undead creatures walking in their direction, they were too many to count, before Sakakura could make any sense of what he was seeing, his radio received a message.
"Close the gates! I r-repeat close the gates!" A struggling man could be heard on the radio, and in the background moans of the undead were heard too, and many people screaming in agony as well.
"What-? Who gave that order? Over" Sakkakura quickly responded, but there was no response. "Do you copy? Who gave that order?"
Still no response.
After a few seconds, the response came. "Stop! Stop! NOOOOOOO!" The sound of raw flesh being chewed was the last thing Sakakura heard before starting to sweat bullets.
Sato couldn't with the pressure and rushed inside the main course while the guard was distracted, those things weren't stopping so neither would she, by pure reaction Hajime and Natsumi did the same.
"Hey stop!" He ran behind them, but Natsumi pressed the automatic gates button once they made it in, closing them on Sakakura's face.
He couldn't believe it, and neither could Hajime nor Sato, staring at the blond in disbelief as she committed a second time has left people behind to their luck.
"You damn reserve scum!" Sakakura tried to force the gates open but couldn't even move them an inch.
"Open the gate!" Hajime said at the sight of this, walking towards the cabinet to press the button himself. Natsumi quickly slapped his hand away before he could touch it.
"So he can kick us out with those things!? To give them a chance to come in!?"
"Wha- No! Because they'll eat him alive!" The spiky-haired student insisted, but this time the response came from Sato.
"Him. Not us" Her quick and cold response shut the boy in the group, frowning at her in disbelief. "Go ahead, take the risk of opening that gate and watch how he throws us out not caring if we are being eaten alive. Do you really believe HIM of all people will think it twice?"
Sakkakura kept holding on the gates shaking them in a poor attempt to open them, but there was no result. Behind him, the creatures were now closer just a few feet away from what seemed their first pray on this course.
"You!" He stared at Hajime to the eyes, shaking the gates more. "Open this instant! you hear me!?" Sakkakura pressured more, holding into the gates desperately.
"Don't!" Sato yelled holding his arm to keep him away from the cabinet. "Do it now and they'll get in, we can't lose time, and more importantly, people wait for us to be warned about this, do you want to risk it for the man who plummed you into the grown!?"
Hajime felt morally conflicted now, on one hand, her statement is true, there was no chance of re-opening the gates without a few of those things getting inside and once one got in carnage would follow up.
Yet seeing Sakkakura vulnerable outside the gates like that stings on his chest, despite their past.
"They're here, we have to move" Natsumi mentioned, holding Hajime by the other arm to start pulling him away too. He couldn't leave, but he couldn't open the gates either, two sides of him were debating what is the right choice to do?
The undead were at mere feet away now, Sakakkura could feel them on his back and his desperation took the worst out of him.
"I'll get you for this…! You damn brats I'll get you for this!" He landed a punch into the gate causing it to shake but nothing more than that, he did a quick 180° turn to see the creatures face to face. "I don't know what you are but you are not taking me down!"
At the first sign of movement, one of the creatures launched itself towards him to be received by a blow on the face that took him down, another tried to bite the arm but he quickly moved it away and then used a left hook on it to put it down too. He proceeded to move in an attempt to avoid them by didn't matter which direction he took there was another right behind.
Many began to swamp around, and he threw punch after punch in an attempt to survive.
"Get off me, you nasty creatures!" He was surrounded, there was no sign of him anymore just the sound of him struggling and inevitable cries of pain.
Hajime closed his eyes looking down as the sound of agony just became louder. Those creatures who weren't paying attention to the desperate attempt of survival of the guard began to hit the gates with their arms, heads, and entire bodies.
The gates began to shake, the strength of these creatures gradually tore it down.
"Hajime! We need to move!" Natsumi finally yelled jogging his arm. It finally got a reaction out of him as he lifted his head up, resigned to this decision he quickly ran away along with the two girls to the inside of the main course.
The noise of the gates and the screams of the guard caught the attention of the ultimate students, staring from the window to events unfolding just at their front gates.
In particular the well-known 77th Class.
"Hey, what's going on out there?" Kazuichi wondered, looking outside to see the large amount of people(?) outside trying to break in. "Woah-! What's happening!?"
"Is this a riot or something? I see reserve course uniforms there" Fuyuhiko pointed out, as he saw more course students arriving.
Their teacher, Chisa Yukizome, stood from her desk to look through the window too, by this point almost the entire class was witnessing a large number of people trying to break down the gates.
"That's not normal, is it? Hey! Where's the guard? Don't tell me he's slacking off!" Akane said, holding a hand on her hip.
Yukizome's worry increased at the question from her student. No matter how hard she tried to luck there were no signs of Sakkakura anywhere… What she did manage to notice was the evident blood on their clothes and mouth.
"Stay here, Nanami don't let anyone out!" Their teacher ordered before rushing out of the classroom.
The class rep blinked in confusion a few times, the attitude of their homeroom teacher quickly set their alarms up.
The red-hair, Mahiru, decided to not waste time and took out her phone to dial emergencies, her face lost color at the moment the next recorded line played.
"The emergency line is currently experimenting an oversaturation of calls. Please try again or call back later"
"You're joking… Right?" The photographer tried again, just to hear the same message again.
"Joking? Mahiru? What do you mean?" Hiyoko asked, evidently worried the moment she saw fear in her friend's eyes.
"Emergencies is not picking up…" Mahiru let out in a dry whisper but audible enough for the rest to hear.
"Close the doors," Chiaki quickly said, standing up. Nekomaru and Gundham followed her and stood up, too, heading towards the doors and locking them in. "Let's not get out until we get an idea of what is going on, okay?"
"Can't we just check on the news what's happening?" Peko suggested, preparing her kendo stick.
"Uuuh! There's now wi-fi" Ibuki suddenly said, holding her phone up for everyone to see. "It's not loading!"
"What? That can't be!" Kazuichi grabbed his own phone, confirming her words.
Everyone tried checking on their respective phones, but the results were the same for each student: not even a single bar was up.
*CLANK.
The sudden sound of metal crashing to the ground startled them. Checking one last time through the window, they witnessed the gates finally falling.
"...This is certainly alarming" Those were the final words from Nagito before the screams began.
Back at the entrance, professors noticed three reserve students coming in uninvited, but what caught their attention was the bigger crowd at the entrance trying to come in.
"Back down!" One of the professors said, an elder teacher.
"What's your problem? Back down now!" Another professor joined, robust body and in his middle age.
"Where's the guard now!?" A female teacher asked, younger than the two professors, most likely in her 30's.
A couple of the students began recording the events from the entrance, a few others tried to ask what was going on, and others decided to keep a safe distance or walk away from whatever was about to unfold.
The screws on the gate couldn't bear the weight and strength any longer, they began to fall off, and with it, the gates finally fell.
The walker in the front roared and so those behind him began to walk inside the course. The teachers tried to reason with them, backing down in fear but there was no reasoning with them, they reached out to the elder teacher first, grabbing him between the two, but didn't matter how much he pleaded with them to leave him alone, they began to bite on his shoulders and arms.
"W-what the hell!?" The second professor yelled, earning the attention of the other walkers who were making their way toward him, he didn't stick around to find out what their plans for him were and rushed back inside.
The female teacher did the same, but thanks to her heels she ended up tripping.
"Augh-!" She fell on her mouth, and now her ankle was wounded.
"Help! Takashi-sensei, please help me!" Her hand tried to reach the professor. He stopped and turned around to see her, but as soon as he saw the creatures so close behind her…
His legs moved on his own, as far away as he could.
The poor teacher didn't even have time to be shocked, as soon as he left, two of the undead fell on her back, and began to bite her shoulder and head, more joined grouping together to bite off her arms, her back, chewing on her entire body as she screamed in agony.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
That terrific scream finally made the rest of the students react and begin to run away. At this many of the walkers roared as if the screams of panic filled them with motivation.
Many began to push others to make more run for themselves, others intentionally pushed down others with the hope of giving them some bait so there would be more room for them to escape.
It was every man for himself.
Those that were pushed or fallen were the easy pick, the creatures would just drop on top of them to start biting, and others who were too shocked to move remained in their classrooms making them an easy target for the horde of walkers getting inside their classrooms.
The walls quickly began to be trained in blood, many saw how their peers were being torn apart limb by limb, many of them still conscious.
"They're here…!" Natsumi announced. The three reserve course students saw the incoming horde of students and walkers heading their way and did the only thing they could and continued to run as fast as they could, but there was a new obstacle in their path.
The panic spread, and many left their classroom from the upper floors, which made it harder for them to pass through, the halls soon were full of students trying desperately to escape the situation.
"Gah!" Sato yelled, being pushed away from her group.
"Sato!" Hajime yelled, trying to reach her but it was hard, thanks to his height he didn't lose her from his sight, but the large amount of ultimates running from so many directions made it impossible for him to reach her. "Sato grab my hand!"
She tried to reach him, but the more she tried to push the more she was being pushed away.
The sound of the creatures so close made both lose color on their faces, behind Sato the undead were even closer now, biting students left and right, many of these infected were Ultimates now too, jumping into those who were once their friends.
"Hajime!" Sato desperately tried to reach him, teary eyes from the fear of feeling death so close.
Hajime stretched out his arm in one last attempt to reach her, their fingers closed they were so close to locking in when one of the ultimates pushed him off his balance causing him to fall. Just then one of the infected finally managed to grab Sato by the arms from behind and throw himself down with her.
Down to the floor, Hajime felt people stepping on him on his back, just by pure luck his head was not becoming a squashed potato. As he tried to get up many of the students kept stomping him making it impossible.
He ended up covering his head, down on the floor he managed to catch a glimpse of how the creatures were eating them up, many bodies on the floor and many of those who were bitten began to stand up again, grabbing many by the legs as they run to pull them down.
When Hajime was sure it was the end a pair of hands managed to grab him by the arm and pull him back up; It was Natsumi.
The blonde girl was breathing heavily, and Hajime showed his gratitude by nodding but when he turned to see where Sato was she was no longer there, he turned to see Natsumi hoping for an answer but the only response he got was her slowly moving her head left and right.
It felt like a stab to the gut, he was just at mere inches of holding her, he had her in his grasp…
But there was no time for remorse, they were getting closer, Natsumi held strongly on his arm and Hajime knew he had to keep moving, as painful as it was. The two remaining reserve students continued making their way toward the 77th.
Inside the 77th they saw students running away throught the halls, panicked, they were the only few that remained in their classroom locked in but it didn't make them any less scared.
"What the hell is going on!? Where's Yukizome man!?" Kazuichi asked, far away from the door, back against the wall.
"I-I don't know! Dammit is it some sort of plotted attack or something?" Fuyuhiko asked too, frowning at the sight of such a huge crowd running away in fear.
"W-well, I don't hear a-any g-gunshots if that's the case!" Teruteru responded, shaking on his own spot.
The a certain amount of the crowd suddenly began to run in the opposite direction, creating even more confusion on the 77th. A few students then tried to seek refuge in their class, but the doors were locked, making it impossible.
"OPEN! PLEASE! THEY'RE HERE!" One began to yell as he hit the door with both fists.
"What!? Who is here!? Who are you talking about!?" Akane asked, but he didn't respond.
He saw something to the left and quickly began to run away. "Oh God, Oh God, Oh God!"
It was confusing, and upsetting, the entire class felt frustrated at the lack of answers but no one dared to look outside to see what was going on.
It didn't take long to hear a familiar voice through the door shouting. "Guys! You there!?"
"Hajime!?" Chiaki's eyes perked up in hope, the voice of the boy sending waves of relief to her entire being.
"Oh thank God, you're all okay!?"
"Yeah man! As okay as we can be! What the hell is going on out there!?" Kazuichi shouted, adjusting his hat.
"I- It's really hard to explain!"
"People are eating people!" Natusmi interjected.
"What!? What the hell did you just say!?" Hiyoko frowned in disbelief, staring at the door, then at Mahiru expecting an explanation from the readhair.
"Natusmi!? You're here too!?" Fuyuhiko stood up, and quickly Peko joined too.
"You heard me, people are just eating each other! They bite you and turn into one of them and start to eat people too!" The blonde from the reserve course continued explaining, but this not only increased the fear but increased the disbelief as well.
"Are you trying to prank us you doll-face?" The dancer spitted venomously but the response she got was a kick to the door that made her back away.
"Do you think this is the moment to joke around you damn oversized banana-hair bitch!?" Natsumi kicked the door for a second time.
"Look, we don't have time to-... Damn! They're getting closer!" Hajime suddenly said, and their alarms quickly turned on.
They heard a couple of roars and steps approaching, from one moment to another they saw their friend from the reserve course trying to run through the hall holding Natsumi by the arm and then someone throwing herself into him.
"Hajime!" Chiaki shouted, standing up to run towards the door to open it, just to be stopped by none other than Kazuichi, who was shaking his head left and right in fear.
The gamer's eyes winded up at the attitude of the mechanic, but luckily both Gundham and Nekomaru forced the door open with one swift kick.
The entire 77th class saw it then, a female student trying to chomp on Hajime's face as he desperately tried to push her away without succeeding.
"G-get off! Get off me!" He was shouting in fear as he struggled with the creature on top of him getting closer to the bite.
Natsumi was down on the floor backing away in fear without knowing what to do, just when it was about to bite the face of the talentless student, Nekomaru sent a powerful blow to the head of the creature pushing it away from his friend.
The body of the creature hit the wall of the hallway and before it could stand back up, the silver swordwoman stepped in by breaking the skull with a blow from her kendo stick, the blood splattered on the floor and walls was a sign that it was good as dead.
Chiaki pushed Kaz's arm away and ran outside, reaching Hajime who was still on the floor with a face as white as his favorite shirt. The touch of the pink-haired girl startled him but as soon as he noticed it was her he returned to his senses.
"You okay…?" She worriedly asked.
"...No" He admitted, holding her hand tight. "We need to get out of there, now!"
More of them were in front of them after all, they were too busy chewing on the students they managed to grab, and many more were walking upstairs.
None of the 77th students could believe what they were seeing, it was complete madness. One of the students from the class next to them alive as they were eating his guts, he couldn't even articulate a word.
The princess, Sonia, had to cover her mouth to prevent throwing up at the scene.
The walkers noticed the presence of new sources of food, standing up from their already bitten victims, and the ones standing began their march towards them.
"If we are going to leave then let's not waste any damn second!" Fuyuhiko shouted, and at the sudden movement, the creatures roared once more accelerating their steps towards them.
All the students from the 77th ran away as fast as they could. Hajime didn't waste time, and stood up, holding Chiaki by the hand as he ran away along with the class.
Peko and Fuyuhiko helped Natsumi to stand up, Peko carried the youngest of the Kuzuryuu on her back and began to run away with the oldest following her tail.
Nekomaru grabbed the body of the recently dead walker and threw it towards the crowd to throw them away, now with a more fair distance he joined the escape staying behind everyone.
They all ran as fast as they could passing through the bodies of other students, many of them probably not entirely dead yet, it was hard for Chiaki to see.
"Keep your eyes on the front, okay?" Hajime said, tightening his grip on her hand, she nodded and kept herself from seeing the floor again.
"Where should we go!? Do we even have an idea of where to go!?" Hiyoko shouted, but no one had a response, they hadn't even tought it yet.
"Not the main entrance, is full packed and that's where the majority from these things are entering from!" Hajime shouted back in response.
"Then the exit on the back!?" Sonia asked, being one few on the front.
"Is most likely everyone is trying that exit, it must be completely oversaturated with people trying to escape or worse" Peko responded, keeping her focus on running while carrying one of the two Kuzuryuu's.
"Then where the hell we shou-!?" Hiyoko didn't finish the question, as it was replaced by a yelp as a sudden walker came out of one of the classrooms throwing itself to the traditional dancer. "Kyah!"
The impact made both impacted the window with incredible force, the glass broke and Hiyoko was thrown out off the floor with one of the infected.
"HIYOKO!" The photographer who was running next to her tried to reach her, but their fingers barely touched. The Ultimate Traditional Dancer was out of reach, they heard her screaming fading away ending with a loud impact.
"No! NO!" She tried to reach for her but she couldn't, many more infected walked out of the classroom, and none of them could confirm the state of Hiyoko's body as many undead were not dividing the group in two.
"This is…An unfortunate turn of events" Nagito mentions as he's one of the few who remained behind.
Nekomaru, Nagito, Gundham, Akane, Mahiru, and even Teruteru were trapped, not only they had to worry about these infected but also the ones who were still chasing them.
"Tanaka-san!" The princess shouted trying to reach him but it was impossible they had walkers at their 12' o'clock and now their 6' o'clock.
"Stay woman!" Gundham yelled as he prepared himself for the imminent battle for survival. "We have been chosen to prove our worth to live… You must leave at once!"
"What-!? No! No without you guys!" Chiaki joined too. "We have to stay together-!"
"If you guys stay here we ALL will be surrounded! Go away! We'll meet you soon!" Nekomaru responded.
"But-!"
"GO! NOW!" Nekomaru quickly grabbed one that tried to bite Mahiru and threw it out of the window. "NOW!"
With teary eyes, Chiaki shook her head refusing to leave, and despite the pain in the hearts of others such as Sonia, Peko ,and Fuyuhiko they decided to accept their decisions and continued running away before the infected caught on them too.
Ibuki held Mikan by the arm and helped her to continue running, as Ryota(?) dashed away at an incredible speed despite his size. Kazuichi was long gone by now too.
The only two remaining were Hajime and Chiaki, the gamer still refusing to leave, to abandon her friends like this.
"You must leave now. Hinata-kun, please we'll be counting on you to keep our beacon of hope safe!" Nagito smiled, waving at the two. An infected tried to bite him but Gundham quickly pushed him away.
Hajime saw their friends fighting for their lives now, and once more he found himself in a hard decisions, it was becoming more difficult with each one and the frustration of not being able to do something was tearing him apart.
But there was no time for this now, the walkers that blocked the path of their friends now had their attention on them too, there was no time to lose.
Hajime held Chiaki by the hip and legs and proceeded to carry her bride style, the adrenaline of the moment made him forget the current pain from the previous incidents and with all his strength he dashed away to catch on with the remaining friends.
With a pain in her heart, Chiaki could only cry as she sought refuge on his chest. It at least gave some relief to the ones left behind but hoping the best outcome for their dearest friends.
They weren't, sadly, the only ones who had to make these tough calls today. The school was now a house of slaughter.
As the infection continued to spread, the chances of survival decreased, the ones on the 78th tried to barricade the doors but it failed miserably, Makoto the student known as the Ultimate Lucky student for this year was seeing how one his friends, Yamada, was being eaten by a crowd of those things, and many of his other friends were struggling to escape the grasp of their hands.
Mondo used chairs to defend both himself and Chihiro, Sakura fought them with the help of her dearest friend Asahina, and Touko couldn't do much for Byakuya Togami, the heir of the Togami family was being bitten on the neck by one of those things in his attempt of escape.
Makoto didn't know what to do, what could he even do in this situation? Suddenly a hand grabbed his, turning around he saw none other than the detective, Kyoko Kirigiri, placing a finger on her mouth to indicate silence before guiding him to the back door of the classroom.
Another class was having their own issues, the 79th was struggling to keep the infected off their classroom, Maki Harukawa did her best to protect her friends who were trying to escape through the window but there was so little to do for her or Kaito as the girl known as Himiko Yumeno fell due to a couple of infected holding her by the toes and proceeding to pull her into their sworn leaving nothing but her hat.
The entirety of Hope's Peak was in chaos, and the whole city on fire.
No one was safe.
