How could everything go wrong like this? We've been hiding in the Fire Nation for months, and after everything it can still go wrong like this? Why?
We shouldn't have spent our time in the Fire Nation goofing off while we waited. Aang going to a Fire Nation school and throwing a cave party, Toph and Sokka pulling scams, me pulling a scam with her and then us almost getting blown up in jail by Combustion man. At least we did some things worthwhile. Saving one town as the Painted Lady, freeing Hama's prisoners from another, and Sokka training with a sword master. But anytime we weren't doing those things we should have been training!
Everything went wrong. So many people got hurt, Aang didn't even find Ozai to fight him, Azula led Sokka and Toph on a wild goose chase, and Dad might have died if I hadn't been there to heal him. At the end of it all, we have to leave most people behind to escape with Aang so we have a chance to fight another day. It feels horrible, like we're abandoning them no matter how my dad says differently.
So we go to the Western Air Temple, and we try to figure out a new plan. Someone to train Aang in Firebending, but Jeong Jeong is the only one we can think of, and none of us know where to find him.
As we're talking, someone approaches. And I hear a voice that makes my blood boil in a totally different way than it used to.
"Uh, Hello. Zuko Here."
