Madison inhaled and exhaled her breath as she was like falling asleep. She was smiling as she remembered seeing Nemo being alright and safe with the Tank Gang. For now, at least. But she shifted herself a little, she felt uncomfortable as she was laying down on something. She slowly opened her eyes to see that she was on a mask. And it was hanging on to the bottom part of the sunken ship. Her vision is hazy as she was half asleep but see a little as she knew where she is right now.
"Nemo... Nemo..."
Madison turned her head to the side to see Marlin talking in his sleep as he dreamed about his son. And then turned her head to the other side to see Dory as was talking in her sleep only saying some crazy things.
"Are you gonna eat that?" Dory spoke in her sleep.
Madison smiled as she was trying not to laugh and then looked back up at the ship. Staring at it, she wondered why she was on a mask until the realization hit her. She slowly turned her head around, gently had her body shifted a little, and looked down to see the dark abyss.
Madison gasped softly to see how deep that ocean is and carefully swam out of the mask. Hearing that creaking sound, Madison looked up to see the sunken ship was about to tip off from its balance.
"Marlin... Marlin!" Madison quietly tried to wake the clownfish up as he was still snoring. "Marlin, wake up!"
Hearing her voice, Marlin slowly opened his eyes as he was waking up, but as he looked down, he exclaimed as he saw the abyss. Panicked with a gasp, the clownfish swims back a little and got close to the strap, trying to push it off the piece of the ship. Madison nervously looked up to see the ship slipped an inch off the edge.
"Marlin, I think you might unbalance the ship." she said, but the clownfish didn't hear her as he swims towards the sleeping Blue Tang in panic.
"Dory!" he spoke as he was trying to wake her.
"Sea monkey has my money…" Dory mumbled in her sleep as she didn't hear Marlin's shout.
"Dory, wake up! Please!" Madison said as she shook the Blue Tang a little, but nothing happened.
More rumbling sounds came from behind the mermaid and looked to see that the ship will fall off any second.
"Wake up! Get up! Come on! Come on!" Marlin shouted and then swims to the other side of the mask to face the Tang fish.
"Yes, I'm a natural blue…" Dory mumbled again.
"Get up!" the Clownfish screamed.
"Look out! Sharks eat fish!" Dory startled with a scream as she was finally awake.
She swam up with a dash with a mask as she was still screaming and Madison along with Marlin quickly caught with her until all three heard a rumbling sound. They turned around to see the ship was now out of balance and it tumbled towards them.
"Swim!" Madison shouted and the fishes screamed as they tried to get away from the ship.
The three swam as fast as they could while the ship was getting closer, but as they were blocked by the cliff, the trio quickly covered their heads as the ship hit the cliff. A cloud of dust surrounded them, and small debris was crumbling down but no fish was hurt.
Madison waved her arm to get the smoke out of her face and then looked at Marlin as he was frozen in shock and staring at the ship that almost crushed him.
"Marlin? You good?" she asked in concern.
The Clownfish didn't say anything to her as he kept staring at the ship with his eyes popping out wide.
"Wow! Dusty." Dory spoke as she was coughing.
The two looked down at the Blue Tang and noticed something was missing. The mask was not on Dory.
"The mask?! Where's the mask?!" he questioned as he looked at her.
"Um... guys!" Madison spoke as she pointed at something.
The two looked down and saw the diver's mask falling into the dark abyss.
"No! Not the mask! Get it! Get the mask!" Marlin shouted as he swims to the abyss.
Madison quickly followed him as she was about to shine some light from her orb but notice the clownfish swimming back up and was close to the cliff, catching his breath and was in fright on how dark the abyss really was. The mermaid decided to stay close to him until the two heard humming.
Madison looked at Dory as she was in her own little world as she swims past her and Marlin. Doing a loop-de-loop into the abyss.
"Just keeps going on, doesn't it? Echo!" the Blue Tang shouted and hear her voice echoed into the abyss and then swims up to face Marlin and Madison. "Hey, what are you two doing?"
"Um... well..." Madison tried to say something until Marlin spoke.
"It's gone. I've lost the mask." he said as he finally caught his breath.
"What, did you drop it?" Dory asked.
"You dropped it!" Marlin yelled as he looked at Dory, "That was my only chance of finding my son, and now it's gone."
"Marlin, just calm down. We'll find a way. We could just go down there and get the mask." said Madison.
"How? It's pitch black down there, nothing to see, and there's no other way to find it."
The Blue Tang and the mermaid looked at each other for a second and looked down at the abyss. The clownfish was right that it is pitch black and nothing to see. Madison could create a light orb but realized that creature is down there. So, she'll save her powers to fight it.
"Hey, Mr. Grumpy Gills." Dory spoke as she was getting Marlin's attention, but making a face that got the clownfish confused. "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?"
"I don't want to know what I gotta do." Marlin replied as he frowned, and Dory started to sing a little song.
Dory: Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Swimming
Swimming
What do we do?
We swim
Swim,
"Dory, no singing." Marlin grumbled as the Blue Tang grabbed his fin and Madison's hand as they start swimming down to the darkness.
Madison hummed to the little song as it was catchy but winced at the high note that Dory made, and Marlin kept hollering her name.
"See, I'm going to get stuck now with that song now it's in my head!" Marlin shouted in frustration.
"Sorry." Dory apologized.
Madison shook her head over Marlin being so snappy, even though it is pitch black, the fishes didn't notice anything.
"Dory, did you see anything?"
"Ahh! Something's got me!" Dory screamed as she felt a touch, which startled Madison.
"That was me. I'm sorry." Marlin apologized.
"Probably me as well." Madison spoke.
"Who's that?" Dory gasped as she heard their voices.
"'Who's that?' Who could it be? It's me." Marlin answered.
"And me." said Madison.
Dory can't look at their faces as it was too dark in the abyss, but she looked confused, but also curious as she starting to guess.
"Are... are you two my conscience?" she asked out loud.
Hearing that, Marlin and Madison felt the same idea in their minds as they started to play along.
"Yes, yes, we are your conscience."
"The good conscience." said Madison.
"And we haven't spoken for a while. How are you?" Marlin asked.
"Can't complain." Dori replied.
"Good. Good." Madison softly spoke to her.
"Now, Dory. I want you to tell us. Do you see anything?" Marlin asked.
The Blue Tang looked straight as she listened to what Marlin had just said. She still didn't see anything but darkness but then she saw something white, and it was shining bright.
"I see... I see a light." she said.
"A light?" Marlin questioned.
"Yeah. Over there." she pointed, "Hey, consciences. Am I dead?"
"I don't think so." Madison replied.
"No, I see it too."
The three got close to the strange looking light, but Madison kept her distance from it as she knew what happens next and where the light was actually from. But in order to be ready for what's happening next, Madison felt her tail all charged up with electricity.
"What is it?" Marlin asked as he looked curious at the light.
"It's so pretty." Dory spoke as she was in awe.
"I... I'm feeling happy. Which is a big deal."
"I want to touch it."
"Dory, I don't think you should..." Madison tries to warn her friend, but it was too late.
The Blue Tang has already touched the strange light, and it was moving upward.
"Hey, come back. Come on back here." Marlin smiled as he and Dory starts chasing the light.
"I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you." Dory singed.
"I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna be your best friend" Marlin singed along with her.
Madison felt worried as she decided to swim with them, but as the light kept on moving, the mermaid stopped as she noticed that she's seeing teeth. Lots of sharp teeth and could the big eyes that gave you chills down your spine.
"Guys..." Madison's voice croaked as she was trying to warn them but then let out a shout. "GUYS!"
The fishes looked at her as she was pointing at something and then turned around to see a creature that was behind them.
"Good feeling's gone." Marlin spoke as his smile was gone with shock along with Dory.
Suddenly more lights appeared around the creature as it revealed to be an Anglerfish. The fishes screamed in fright and swim off as the anglerfish tried to bite them. Madison, however, starts stinging it with electricity from her tail and quickly caught up to her friends. The three tried to swim away from the creature, but they don't know where they are going as there was darkness in front of them.
"I can't see!" Marlin shouted with panic, "I don't know where I am going!"
Dory was screaming in panic, but Madison thought of an idea. She created an orb of light and threw it to the direction. Once the three can now see and swim around to get away from the Anglerfish, they swim past a green object on the rocks that Madison and Marlin realized what that was.
"The Mask!" Marlin and Madison pointed until Dory accidently bumped into them.
"What mask?" she questioned until the two pulled her down to dodge from the creature's bite.
The mermaid and the clownfish looked to see the anglerfish being far from them, staying quiet as the creature looked both ways, wondering where his food have gone off to until...
"I can't see a thing." Dory's voice spoke loudly.
"Dory!" Madison hushed her quietly, but it was too late.
The anglerfish turned around and its esca revealed to where they are. Madison and Marlin exclaimed as they were now spotted, but Dory was just squinting her eyes, trying to see. But thanks to the light, she was close to the mask.
"Hey, look! A mask!" she said happily.
"Read it! Quick!" Marlin and Madison shouted as the anglerfish was getting closer.
The two quickly swim away to get away from it but decided to distract the creature while it gives Dory some time to read the mask.
"I'm sorry, but if you could just bring it a little closer, I kind of need the light." said Dory as she was trying to read the words, but it was dark to see until the anglerfish's light came to her. "That's great! Keep it right there!"
"Just read it!" Marlin shouted as he was avoiding the creature's teeth while Madison tries zapping electricity with her tail.
"Okay, okay! Mr. Bossy." Dory frowned until she turned to mask as she starts reading. "Uh... 'P'. Okay, 'P'. Sher..."
While Dory is reading, Marlin and Madison were keeping the anglerfish bush. The clownfish was avoiding its teeth while the mermaid was shocking it with her tail. Marlin quickly got between the two rocks and the anglerfish tries to reach him. The clownfish noticed the esca was near him and looked to see Dory trying to read without any light. He quickly grabbed it and lit up the direction to where she was.
"The first line's 'P. Sherman'!" Dory pointed excitedly as she looked at her friends.
"P. Sherman doesn't make any sense!" said the clownfish until he screamed as the anglerfish pulled him up with its esca.
"Keep on going, Dory!" said Madison as she continued to fight with the creature.
Dory turned back to the mask as she continues to read.
"Okay, second line. '42'."
"Don't eat me! Don't eat me!" Marlin pleaded as he was hanging on for his dear life on the esca.
The anglerfish struggles with Marlin as he tries to bite him but also feeling the shock pain from Madison's tail. Suddenly, the creature accidently ate the clownfish along with its esca and everything went completely dark.
"Light please." said Dory as she stops reading and noticed the darkness.
Madison looked at the anglerfish and saw that the esca was lit up inside his mouth and also saw Marlin as well but still hanging onto to it.
"Spit him out right now!" Madison yelled as she continued to shock it.
The anglerfish quickly spits him out but still see the clownfish hanging on.
"Marlin, let go of it!" Madison said as she watched the anglerfish tried to bite him.
But as Marlin let go of the esca as the anglerfish biting close, it actually bit the esca. Madison tried not to giggle but focus on helping Marlin.
"The second line's '42 Wallaby Way'!"
"That's good Dory." said Madison as she and Marlin swims away from the anglerfish.
"That's great! Speed read! Take a guess! No pressure! No problem!" said Marlin as he and Madison hid behind the rock where Dory is with the mask.
She was reading the last line but not knowing that anglerfish was getting closer.
"There's a lot of pressure! Pressure! Take a guess now with pressure!" Marlin panicked.
"Hurry up, Dory!" Madison shouted.
The creature was getting close by speed and Madison was getting ready for her scream, but as she looked at the mask and remembered...
"Sydney! It's Sydney!" Dory shouted for joy.
"Duck!" Marlin shouted as he and Madison starts lifting the mask.
Hearing Dory scream as the anglerfish is closer and then everything went white.
"I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead, I died, I'm dead."
Madison had her arms wrapped around Marlin as she heard his voice as he says that he was dead, but as she opened her eyes, she looked surprise to what she just saw.
"Marlin, you're not dead. Look!" she said to him.
Marlin uncovered his eyes from his fins and opened them as he heard the mermaid's voice. He looked up and saw the anglerfish getting stuck with the mask that is still attached to the rock.
"Whoo-hoo!" Marlin cheered and laughed as he swims in flips. "We did it! We did it! Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah! No eating here tonight, whoo!"
"Eating here tonight!" Madison and Dory singed with them as they were dancing for victory.
"No, no, no, no, eating here tonight! You're on a diet!" Dory singed.
"Dory!" Marlin stopped her as he realized something and looked at her, "What did the mask say?"
"P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney." she answered until she gasped and spun Madison happily and grabbed Marlin. "I remember what it said! I usually forget things, but I remembered it this time!"
Madison smiled at her as she remembered and then knew about where Sydney really is.
"Wait! Where is that?" Marlin questioned as he confused.
"I don't know. But who cares? I remembered!"
Suddenly, the anglerfish let out a growl and tries to reach the three as they screamed.
"Swim up! Swim up!" Madison shouted and the three starts swimming up to the darkness.
Thankfully, for Madison, she did create an orb to light up the way for them to see.
"P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. I remembered it again!"
Madison shook her head and smiled at her. It was good that she's remembering the words, but also it may sound annoying. But now the next she remembered was back to Nemo at the fish tank. She decided to go back in spiritual traveling but also whispered something to the necklace as it began glowing.
