Chapter 3

Magic Lessons

Three hours prior…

Asriel walks about a white void he finds himself in, all he could recall was that he got hurt badly… everything else, time, place, and anyone he knew didn't exist at this time.

"Where the hell am I…?" He asks aloud as he looks about, feeling lost as he comes to a stop.

"That is an easy one… Asriel." Asriel turns his head to see a black crow hovering behind him with its wings flapping slowly, Asriel took a step back as his right hand held at his side like it was ready to swipe at the bird. "Now now… no need to attack. Not that you can hurt me anyways, not here atleast." The bird says getting Asriel to relax.

"Where am I?" He demands as the bird looks at him almost… amused.

"Where you are? You sure are worried about yourself despite that girl latched to you trying her best…" The bird says as Asriel's eyes widen, Frisk's fearful expression as the gun was pointed at him comes back.

"F-Frisk… Is she!? Is… she…?" Asriel starts to fear the worst as his eyes slowly fall. The bird shakes its head.

"Fear not she is alive and well. As are you now." Asriel's eyes snap up as he looks at the bird again. "Tell me Asriel, what do you think of Frisk?" The bird says as it turns its head to a moment of Frisk looking at Asriel from her perspective. Asriel turns to look as his perspective from that moment shows up as well. Both smiling, both at the store… Frisk was embarrassed and Asriel was proud.

"I… Im not sure. We have know each other for what two days now?" Asriel says as he sits down and looks the ground. "Shes special for sure, but its too soon for me to ask her out… she needs time to adjust and I shouldn't take advantage to get closer on my own. If she did, and then felt a better connection down the line, or felt the same she might get the wrong idea…" He says with a frown. "Besides, who would want someone with bloodied hands."

"You would be surprised little prince. Frisk won't know but her magic killed three Humans today." 'And I very much doubt you will remember this well either' The bird says getting Asriel to look back at it. "It wasn't her choice mind you, anyways… I have one request for you."

Asriel curiously watches the bird as it changes figures to a man with fair skin and vibrant orange eyes and solid white hair pulled back into a ponytail, his eyes as bright as Frisk's as Asriel looks at him. He was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt and black tie. His dress shoes shined with what looked like a fresh coat of wax.

"I request that one, Asriel Dreemurr does his best for Frisk… the reward was your life's second chance, and potentially the only one whom can help Frisk bear her future burdens." Heltin says as he kneels before Asriel.

"W-What?!" Asriel says as Heltin looks up at him.

"Please, give her a chance. I believe she may surprise you, though if you wish for time to adjust then I understand." Heltin says getting Asriel to blush. Just what the heck was going on with this strange man.

"Asriel…" Heltin's voice calls. "Asriel…" He says again before-

"Asriel you alright?" Toriel's voice echos in the room as Gaster glares at the elder Monster.

"Toriel, please keep it down. Frisk is right next to you two and you are indeed yelling in my office." Gaster says as he looks at the frantic mother whom frowns as she sits down as Asriel groans.

"W-What- Frisk!" He says as he bolts up looking around before Toriel stands up and places her hands to his shoulders.

"Don't move you were hurt badly from what Gaster told me…" Toriel says as she looks to another bed with Frisk, patches of white pads all over her.

"I-Is she..?!" Asriel asks as Toriel shakes her head.

"No… shes unconcious and Gaster wanted to run some health checks on her." Asriel lets out a sigh as he leans back into his bed.

"-that one, Asriel Dreemurr does his best for Frisk…" echos in his mind as he lets out another sigh of relief.

"Good… good…" He says softly as Toriel smiles as she sits down.

"Gaster said he had to extract three trapped bullets in you, what happened Asriel?" Toriel asks as Asriel shakes his head.

"I don't remember much its all a blur right now." He says getting a nod. Gaster walks up, his expression said he was not very pleased with this event.

"It was a human attack, Chara mentioned something about 'Viol' character." Gaster says as he looks over Asriel.

"Viol? That was Chara's old bully-buddy, could that little turd really have some sort of connections to another…" Asriel looks at Frisk and looks at Toriel and Gaster. "Mafia family?" He says quietly. Gaster nods gently.

"We have to assume so, if that is the case then Asgore will begin preparing for another clash…" Gaster turns to Asriel as he frowns. "She will have to know the truth sooner than I would like." Gaster says as Toriel frowns with a nod.

"I agree… as much as I want to keep her from this life we live, she is unfortunately a potential target for those who hate our kind still… she will never be normal in the human's eyes." Toriel's voice filled with pain.

"Wait, don't tell me Sans spoke more bull earlier then?" Asriel asks as he looks to his mother whom looks at him confused. Gaster walks up curious and yet with a serious expression on his face.

"Explain Asriel…" Gaster says, his tone explained it all to Asriel as he sighs.

"He said said mom also agreed that Frisk shouldn't know… and told him to speak with me." Toriel's eyes narrow, an anger lies in her eyes.

"I never said no such thing to him… I did agree that it was too early for Frisk to be involved, however that was because she is still a child!" Toriel says as Gaster's own eyes narrow.

"Is there anything else?" Asriel nods as he looks at Frisk.

"There is a lot of things wrong… Ask Brax he knows the full story, he likely already told Asgore. But to some it up; Frisk could have been with us learning from the start… He lead Caroline to believe Frisk was too young to learn magic till seventeen, was told that Frisk should be with Humans exclusively till seventeen. Nothing like what he told Frisk and us." Asriel says with a frown. Toriel's eyes snap to Gaster as she glares at him.

"Did you know?!" She demands sternly, Gaster's own dark look meets Toriel.

"No. This was ethically dangerous. Frisk is lucky to be alive with how potent her magic is. After looking it over if she were a normal monster or human her body would have been ripped to shreds. Literally. Given time she would have died if not trained at all so I would advise extra lessons for Frisk, double if not triple her magic training." Toriel's face relaxes as she nods.

"It will be done Gaster, Frisk didn't deserve this… She is just a child!" Gaster nods at Toriel's words.

"I will speak with Sans the second I see him. He will not avoid answering for this. You know what else could have happened Toriel if Frisk's magic wasn't ever tapped into…" Gaster says as he looks at her.

"How big?" She asks, Getting a confused look from Asriel.

"Big enough, to wipe this whole city out if her magic starts to crystallize, enough to destroy everything within a ten kilometer range past that even." Toriel's and Asriel's eyes widen as he catches on and Toriel learns the magnitude of the danger.

"Dust Sans… what were you thinking." Toriel says.

"Thankfully that lesson you taught allowed her to drain a decent amount of magic stores, her magic is stable for now so its best you two head home and get some rest. Caroline is still passed out on my couch in the living room… would you?" Gaster asks getting a nod from Toriel.

"I will make sure she gets rest at my home. I am sure she will want to come back soon." Gaster nods as he turns to Frisk as a phone is brought to him by one of his many hands. Toriel helps Asriel up as the two leave. The phone begins to ring as a voice picks up.

"G-Gaster! It has b-been a while, w-what can I do for you?" A voice comes over as he nods.

"Yes it has been Alphys, I could use an extra medical pair of hands. I have Frisk up here and I would like to have you help me watch over her for a bit today." Gaster says as he hears a growl in the background.

"Hey is that fucking needle dick-Gaster? The fuck you need Alphys for some kid?!" Another feminine voice comes over with a very dominant and tomboy attitude.

"U-Undyne please! He wouldn't ask if wasn't important." Alphys says as a gruff 'fine' is heard from 'Undyne' as a sigh comes over. "I will be there s-shortly Gaster. Let me calm Undyne down real quick." Gaster nods as the phone hangs up and is flown away. Gaster walks away from Frisk failing to see that her magic readings started to grow… erratic.

Asriel sighs as he looks out the passenger window. He felt… worried. To say the least. Everything felt really weird since they left, and not in the good way.

"You alright dear?" Toriel asks as she keeps her eyes on the road driving the vehicle towards their home.

"No. Not really. Im worried, about Frisk. This never should have happened…." He says with a low growl. Toriel nods in agreement. "I know your worried about Frisk, but she wil-"

"Will what? Overcome this?! Its his fault! Gosh mom she is so worried about her words she doesn't even know what a friend is… and I feel like part of me wants to take advantage of that too, and I don't, I don't want to overstep and ruin the only true chance she likely has been given." Asriel says as grits his teeth, he knew he was spouting his heart's feelings and it would do nothing to help with how he felt…

"...I see, perhaps its time to learn a small truth about Frisk that she likely has yet to learn… one that we chose to protect her after a very bad accident." Toriel says softly. They come to a stop in a small parking ledge along the mountain path to their home. The darkness over the land before them as the moon and stars shine down. Toriel glances back to Caroline with a frown.

"Caroline, is a special case of problems that started long ago; There was a Monster whom lost their mind and became a serial killer, the first of our kind to do so as well… the attacks were all towards humans, thankfully we found out and stopped him before the human government… Caroline had just given birth to her daughter, Frisk." Toriel says, Asriel's eyes widen as he looks to Caroline. "However you must be thinking whom could her father be? Well I cannot say… however Caroline wasn't a Monster then, she was a Human, and a very good friend of mine at that." She says Asriel's eyes widen a bit further, just how?! What happened and why?!

Asriel wanted to ask questions about how, why, and what this had to do with his words… Toriel wasn't finished however as she lets out a long sigh.

"Brax had rushed a critically wounded Caroline clutching a small bundle in her arms into Alphys' home...she barely got cleared to take her home when she got attacked. Brax said he killed the one whom did this, but it was then that Egel came by, he saw Frisk in Caroline's arms and decided that the child should not go without a mother… That wound was fatal Asriel… what Egel did, I do not know, nor do I want to. Forbidden magics that were a very dangerous gamble. Caroline became whom she is and we knew we had to act fast… because her blood was found and it did press charges since she lived in a monster neighborhood… think what they would have done if we told them she was attacked and we had to save her by turning her into one of us…." Toriel says, her words explaining how Caroline became this.

"Why tell me this?" Asriel asks softly, he had no reason to know… Frisk definitely did however.

"Because, you should know. You don't have to force yourself onto her, but with uncertainty as part of our lives now… don't be afraid to take a few chances, just make sure you don't let them end on someone else's terms." Toriel says as she leans back in her seat. Asriel stares forwards the mother and son stare into the stars as they let their minds wander, that was till Asriel heard a distinct click to his left to see his mother lighting a cigarette. His eyebrow raises as she glances at him. "What? Its been a stressful week…" Toriel says defending her smoke. Asriel smirks as he casually offers his hand out.

"Got a spare?" Toriel's motherly instict kicks in as she gives him a sturdy knock on the head causing him to chuckle. "Hey you said take chances…"

"Not on my watch, smartass." Toriel replies with her own smirk… she sticks a pack out towards him "...Unless you think its been that bad…" Toriel says as he chuckles taking his first one.

"You try getting shot and tell me your day wasn't absolutely crap." Asriel says as lights his own. "Besides I know your coating your lungs in magic. I learned that trick watching you for that dumb fire-breath move I used to do." He says getting a chuckle from his mother, one of the few times she let loose was when she smoked, a rare sigh but definitely not as restrictive as normal.

"You were a crazy one back then, now all clean and proper like a prince. Hope you don't actually plan on becoming like your father with royalty stuff. Royalty was never worth it." Asriel shakes his head as he takes a deep breath of his smoke.

"Yeah… its kind hard to look at that life when I…" Asriel shakes his head as Toriel frowns.

"It wasn't your fault Asriel, don't forget that. You saved Fenor and Teina's life that day…" Toriel says as Asriel looks to his hands.

"I still feel it… that thick flow against them." Toriel frowns as she too knows the feeling.

"It will never get easier… if it does then I would be worried." Toriel says as she takes another puff, the two sigh.

"Think she will still…?" Asriel asks looking to Toriel with worry in his eyes. Toriel goes to speak-

"She will, she is my daughter after all…" Asriel and Toriel turn to see Caroline wide awake as she smiles at the two. "Evening you two, done with your moment?" Caroline says as Asriel flusters and turns away. Toriel gives a gentle laugh as she nods.

"Yes. Quite. Asriel its time we head home now." Toriel says as she puts her smoke out in an ashtray between the two, he chuckles as he does the same. Knowing that she was going to be mother-mode again soon. He exhales another lighter layer of smoke as he coughs after.

"Ugh, at first it was nice, but now that I exhaled the left over... this crap sucks." Asriel says between his coughs while getting a hearty laugh from Toriel.

"Atleast I know your not gonna be like Sans. I am glad my family's genes were more prominent than your father's. Last thing I need is you smoking those strong cigars." Toriel says as the engine roars to life.

"Oh gosh could you imagine having clashing colors of fur?!" Asriel says as he looks over his furred arms. "I like being one color, I can atleast win in snowball fights with ease like this." Toriel and Caroline laugh at his words as they drive off. Asriel felt more relaxed for sure, however something still didn't feel right…

They soon drove up to the house as the three exit the vehicle, Asriel takes a single step before the world begins to spin. Caroline notices as suddenly she rushes over and catches him as he collapses.

"Asriel?! You okay?!" Caroline says getting Toriel's attention to rush to him. His body limp as Toriel quickly checks his pulse. Her eyes widen as she barely feels anything. At the same time her phone begins to ring as she sees its Alphys. Toriel motions for Caroline to get Asriel back in the vehicle.

"Alphys what is it?" Toriel asks in a rush as she climbs into the driver seat and quickly turns the car back on.

"D-Dr Gaster said you n-need to bring Asriel-"

"Asriel is currently needing medical attention! He just collapsed!" Toriel says her tone stern as she glares at the phone.

"F-Frisk's magic is going chaotic since he left! H-He believes-" Toriel's eyes widen… if Frisk's magic is going wild now and Asriel collapsed.

"We are on our way… if… if my hunch is right then…" Toriel says as suddenly hears another voice.

"Then it would be the same as mine, They are linked somehow. Asriel should regain conciousness if he gets back here soon. Otherwise he could end up in a coma like Frisk is now." Gaster's voice says over the phone as Toriel nods.

Meanwhile Caroline was holding Asriel in the back seat. She was keeping a close eye on him as she wasn't skilled, she did have some medical learning from Toriel and Alphys… enough to watch for dangerous reactions and monitor his basic vitals.

She felt… useless. She had this body, this magic… she doesn't even know how to use it, she felt helpless whenever Frisk got a scrape or cut from running about, every small injury.

'I could have provided a proper caring for Frisk, but I let someone else tell me how to care for my child… my baby girl.' Caroline felt just as guilty as she blamed Egel.

It didn't take them long to get back to Gaster's place when Toriel had outright refused to let the laws of the road stop her getting Asriel to somewhere safe for him… for them. Even if Asriel wasn't in danger Frisk was cause of them. Toriel took Asriel in with Caroline following behind.

Gaster watching Frisk's magic readings as he saw Asriel being carried by Toriel he noticed that the readings were indeed calming down by their distance until it reached a safe level. He lets out a sigh as Alphys looks over Asriel.

Toriel was just watching with Caroline beside her.

"Tor…" Caroline starts as she looks to her ageless friend.

"Im fine… its just." Toriel starts as she clenches her hands tightly into fists.

"Toriel… please look at me." Caroline says as Toriel turns to face her friend. "I want to learn." Toriel's eyes blink before looking at her confused. "I want to learn magic with Frisk, I should have learned, but I feared for her safety away from me. I need this, for me… for her." Caroline says into her Friend's eyes. Toriel's own widen as she realizes that Caroline was killing two birds with one stone with her request. She was taking Toriel's mind off the problems at hand… and she wanted to protect her child.

"I- Okay. It won't be easy Carol, but I will do my best to help you learn." Caroline smiles at her friend as she pulls Toriel into a hug.

The next morning

Frisk groans as she tries to situp, feeling the numerous amount of wires connected to her. She looks around to see Asriel on another bed next to her as she lies back down.

'What happened? Where are we?' Frisk wonders as she feels her body ache with a soreness.

"-opefully they will… well seems I spoke a little late." Frisk's eyes widen as she turns her head to see Gaster being followed by Toriel and Caroline. "Morning Frisk, how do you feel?" Gaster says as Frisk opens her mouth she feels the warmth of Caroline's arms wrapped around her as a tight hug ensued after. She felt no words as the woman holds her tightly.

Gaster could only smile as he suddenly frowned and turned to Toriel.

"There is… something I must do. I leave Frisk and Asriel in your watch. Remember that neither is to leave this room till I give the clearing." Gaster says getting a nod as Toriel brings some clothes to Frisk.

"Come on Caroline, let the girl dress. I doubt she wants to have Asriel awake to see her in her undergarments…" Frisk's face flusters as she realizes how bare her body was as she tries to pry the mother off.

"M-Mom stop! Let me get dressed! Mom!" Frisk cries out as she weakly pushes her mother whom only smiles as tears form in her eyes.

"Sorry, I was… I was just so worried." Frisk smiles at her mother as she takes the clothing from Toriel.

Gaster walks through his halls as he comes into his lab to see Sans leaning back at his table as he waves casually at Gaster not realizing the look on his face.

"Heya G how-" Sans found himself against the wall behind the table as Gaster's hand was tightly gripping his jacket as Sans sees the look in Gaster's eyes, his right eye bright purple with fury as he looks at him.

"Just what in the hell were you thinking?!" Gaster says as he throws Sans to the ground getting the skeleton to look to his father, the first time he has laid his hands on him outside a spar in years.

"What the hell old man, wha-" Sans felt the look.

"Frisk could have killed us all with what happened yesterday, and not by choice either. Her magic is off the charts of unstable now that she is currently soul linked to Asriel. Should be glad she is now instinctively draining magic with her first use of it!" Sans felt something was wrong as he looked at his father.

"What? What do you mean she is just a-" His glare cut him off.

"Asriel would have died yesterday as well if you kept your way up!" Gaster says then as the room went cold. That was not something Sans wanted to hear… far from it.

"What happened?" Sans says with a sigh as he takes a seated pose on the floor.

"They got attacked, Asriel took three hits, one to his arm, to the intestines, and finally to his right lung. He should have died by the accounts of Brax and Chara. Blood enough to bathe in." Gaster says looking at Sans whom looks to the floor. "If Frisk had known how to use magic she could have saved his life on her own easy, what happened to him bound them temporarily as his soul is being rebuilt from the ground up." Sans stares at Gaster with wide eyes.

"If she had never used magic before what she did, it would most definitely started a countdown if not end everything we know of this place then." Sans looks at him with a confused look. "Frisk's magic is thrice more potent than ours, not only that her capacity and generation rate are more than four times than someone her age should calculated to be, she has exceptional genetics in magics to the point that it would have been a scale seven implosion Sans."

"I… I didn't…" Sans' hands tighten.

"Add in the fact of nearly making her emotionally unstable, you could have made a ticking bomb of destruction for every species of this world. You lead her into a life of painful betrayals, When I saw her the first time I wondered why she held so much fear for people in general, now I know why… Why did you lie to her, to Caroline, to us." Gaster demands as Sans looks away.

"…"

"Sans. This is your last chance, before I resort to finding out the hard way." Gaster says as he glares at his son.

"Been seeing it since I started to use temporal magics." Sans says looking away from Gaster as he narrows his eyes.

"I figured you were since you get around so easily. Figures your skill in it lead you to the negative effects. Those dreams are of alternate time lines Sans, you are trying to prevent events that have, will, and wont happen. It is the call The Schrodinger's Cat effect for a reason. You connect with every version of you to see it, and you foresaw it as a vision of the future."

"I get that now…" Sans says as he looks to Gaster. "What now?"

"You best find a way to make up for seventeen years of abuse, for all this lies on you. I believe that you owe Frisk a life debt." Sans eyes widen as he starts to scowl at the thought. "Sans, you ruined the life of an innocent child, your mother would be beating you over the mountain and back if she was awake and knew your actions." Sans slumps at the words. Gaster wasn't wrong, his father… was not wrong. His mother would be infuriated… as would his brother.

And to think, his actions were so bad they could have destroyed them. He merely nods his head as Gaster turns and begins to walk away. Sans vanishes the moment the lab goes dark.

Gaster walks back to see Caroline holding Frisk close, the two seated on the floor as Caroline's fur is wet with Tears, He looks over to Toriel whom gentle smiles at the two. Walking towards the female Monster he smiles at the two.

"Its nice to see the weight finally released." Toriel says as Gaster nods, when Caroline first came by the day before she explained her existence to him, he was both impressed and hurt, it was another unfortunate event that pained Frisk, to be merely a newborn when it happened.

"Indeed, how did our Sio'ta handle the news?" Gaster asks getting a look from Toriel. "Sio'ta, ancient Monster language from the days of old; it means 'true soul' or 'of two halves' in some of its dialect. Granted its ancient, it is referenced towards the Twi'ta rose and the Via'ta flower. Or better known as flora of souls, A rose that is connected to the emotional energy of the one given it, and a flower that can cleanse one of their negative emotions. Least that is what the old books say." Gaster says as Toriel nods.

"She took it well, I think Caroline was hurting further than anyone. Frisk always saw Caroline as her mother no matter what happened. If I didn't know better I would say Frisk knew all along, but if she did then she didn't want to ruin Caroline's attempts to protect her." Toriel says as she sighs. "Asriel is going to be the one to explain things once hes awake I know. Is there any way we can avoid pulling her in for now?" Toriel asks Gaster whom shakes his head.

"This attempt is proof that there will be more now. Once she knows, she will be able to work towards deciding if she wants to live a normal life, or one with the few friends she has…. Its unfair yes, however she already knows she would protect them after that… especially him." Gaster says as Toriel gives a soft chuckle. The two watch from the far end of the room as Gaster nods.

"Indeed, and this situation will only likely strengthen the bond they are forming. It will be about two days at the least before Asriel's soul is no longer linked, that is my best guess." Toriel glances at Gaster whom frowns. "I cannot read the changes hes going through, however I do know this; You and Asgore are no longer providing him the magic to survive without, your bodies will recover from the drain and will eventually return to your prime."

"Wait, your saying that Asriel…" Gaster nods. "His soul is draining from Frisk right now for rebuilding the soul fit for the changes, that is why he passed out and Frisk's magic was going crazy. It was strained over the distance as Asriel is not blood related, or naturally linked. Asriel's body needs Frisk's magic to thrive and Frisk needs Asriel to stabilize her own magic. Its a weird system, but its working flawlessly at the distance they are at. I will go and prepare breakfast, if Asriel wakes up and is up to walking you may enter the main room, otherwise try to keep Frisk within fifteen meters of this room. That is the safest range at this time." Gaster says as he leaves again.

Toriel smiles as she looks at the two before walking up to them. "So, Frisk as per your new doctor's orders there will be some changes for a small time." Toriel says as she sees Frisk nod as she looks to her right hand, the image of Asriel's blood still fresh in her mind, everything that happened shortly after they got caught is a massive blur, but she felt the need to become stronger.

"I want to protect people, how can I… if I can't even protect my self, muchless my friends…" Caroline smiles at her daughter as she nods.

"Then we will make it happen." She says as they hear a groan.

"Where am…. Gaster's again?" The voice says as the three look to see Asriel sitting up from his medical bed as he looks at the three, he sees Frisk up and about as his eyes widen, trying to move he suddenly starts to fall. "W-Whoa oh cra-" A loud crash as he rolls out of the bed tangled in the blanket as the three laugh as Toriel goes over to help Asriel out.

"Asriel, you should know better than to jolt out of bed like that." Toriel says as he moans quietly in pain as his view was upside down.

"Y-Yeah yeah.. gah what happened? We got home then…" Toriel sighs as she shakes her head.

"You collapsed, we will discuss things once we meet up with Gaster, though the news is less than… joyful in my opinion." Toriel says as Caroline frowns, causing Frisk and Asriel to look at them curiously. Asriel with the help of Toriel gets free of the dreaded blanket of binding… as he stands up and stretches his arms and legs, not realizing his lack of shirt was catching the attention of a pair of golden eyes, Caroline gives a small chuckle catching his attention.

Asriel looking down to Frisk and Caroline, noticing Frisk's look and flushed face he glances down to see his chest bare. He blinks confused as he doesn't understand why Frisk was flustered. He walks over as he places his hand over her forehead, her face flushes as Caroline was now struggling to hold her laughter at her daughter's obvious shyness with Asriel's current obliviousness. He saw a girl that lacked any true social life, and hes putting her first. His kindness was blinding him to her actions as anything more than someone who could be confused. Caroline's desire to laugh quickly dies as deep down she felt regret as she felt it was her fault this was her daughter's state.

"Alright you two, Asriel are you up to walking?" Toriel ask getting a nod as she smiles. "Then get your shirt on and lets go to the kitchen. Gaster should have breakfast ready soon and he would be glad to discuss the current plan for you two." She says getting another confused look from the two. Asriel finds his shirt over a chair as he slips it on Frisk manages to break her stare and blush as she tries her best to make the floor seem interesting. The four walk out of the room as they make their way to Gaster's kitchen.

Hands flying about as Gaster himself is making breakfast instead of his army of hands. He turns his head as he notices the group walk in before four hands go and pull out four seats at the table, before rushing to the group and guiding them to their seats. Frisk and Asriel across from their mothers as Gaster sits at the end closest to the four soon find plates of eggs with bacon brought to them.

"To be honest I was not expecting Asriel to be up this early…" Gaster says as he takes his seat, "Asriel how are you feeling right now?" Asriel confused as he shrugs.

"I guess as good as always?" Gaster nods as he looks at him.

"And last night?" Asriel goes to open his mouth as he thinks it over.

"Last night I felt… off, like anxious. Like I forgot something important. I though I was just still shocked from the events of what happened." Gaster nods again.

"Last night you went home, and none of us knew what had truly happened after you and Frisk got attacked, However after last night's scare we know for a fact; that your soul is under repairs thanks to what happened with Frisk, Frisk we are unsure how; but your soul is currently feeding Asriel magic, in addition to converting his soul to a similar like of yours. A soul of two races; an old book I have references to your life as a 'Sio'ta' or 'Of two halves', Ha'um is the old name for Humans 'Of Physical life' and Mo'um 'Of Magical Life' for Monsters." Gaster says as looks at Frisk.

"Okay, so what does this mean exactly…?" Asriel asks curious how it was going to affect him. Frisk was curious as well as he smiles.

"Surprisingly, this could work well in your favor. As of right now, your magic is already strengthening, and Frisk's magic is reaching levels that will let her not only control her magic, but should make it easier to learn. For Frisk this means, that after further research that she has not only the same life-span as any monster, I believe that she and you will both beable to live a much fuller life than anyone that is not the same as you two; Your no longer placing your mother or father at risk of passing in the next few years either. Frisk's soul is taking that while with no risk thanks to the rebuilting of your soul." Asriel and Frisk's eyes widen.

"Wait, does that mean… my mother and father-" Asriel starts to say, Gaster nods.

"Will be likely the first Monsters to see grand-children in over forty-seven generations of Monsters." Gaster say. Asriel blushes as he shakes his head.

"I was going to say; not die then… but I guess that is another way to say it?" He says, the others felt their own fluster at how casual Gaster says things. Asriel is seventeen, hes shouldn't even be trying yet.

"Ah… apologies. I was merely on the historic thoughts. Anyhow, this now brings us to what this means." Gaster says as he looks at both of them equally. "For no more than one week, you two will need to share boarding. Preferably close by." Gaster says as Caroline frowns.

"Meaning you will be staying at Toriel's home for a while Frisk… I'm sorry." The once human says as she looks to the floor. Frisk smiles at her mother warmly.

"Its not your fault Mom, besides its not like you are abandoning me again, just circumstances putting me here." Frisk says as the mother turns to her. Caroline smiles back gently, Gaster nodding at Frisk's wording.

"Astutely put Frisk, gentle, caring, and straight to the point. Not enough of that in this day and age." Gaster says as he looks at them. "Now, here is the catch, the further you are, you will begin to feel symptoms, what exactly I am not sure, Asriel you felt anxious last time, so I am not sure if it will happen again the same." He says before taking a piece of bacon and tossing it into his mouth, Frisk tilts her head confused… how does he eat. Its like his 'mouth' is just lip-less face area, and his teeth and jaw are seperate or something… it was really odd.

"In addition to sharing a home for this week, I will have you two practice your magics further, Asriel may find it harder than usual to use his magic as finely as he once did with how much denser this magic is. I would also like if you two took down to writing anything out of the ordinary when it comes to how you feel physically and mentally during this; I would like to know if this link you two have goes beyond what I know now." Frisk and Asriel both nod as Toriel looks towards them.

"I had Brax setup you a room with Chara's help… Caroline also sent some of your things over for the week." Toriel says as the two nod. Gaster stands up as he looks at his watch.

"Toriel, does the school know about…?" Toriel nods at Gaster's question as he relaxes a little. "Good, I need to return to work. It would be best if they got home and washed up for school then." Gaster says as he turns to leave, his plate empty before one of the hands takes it to the sink. Leaving the four to look at each other. Gaster's sudden departure has suddenly leave a tense feeling in the air.

"So…" Caroline starts as she looks to Frisk and Asriel. "Any questions?" She says sheepishly.

That evening...

After arriving late to school, the two had a rather uneventful day, even magic class was just a basic control exercise, which brought attention to both Frisk and Asriel's new lack of control all together, Frisk couldn't even recreate a small light orb, and Asriel's flickered at best, bringing many questions to their friends whom watch from the side. Asriel felt rather embarrassed, when he was told it would be harder… he never expected this. Frisk and him had no control anymore, and they knew the likely culprit was the link they had. The magic was just already natural controlled to Asriel's soul.

Frisk, Asriel and Chara were all playing a game in Asriel's room, dinner time came and went with ease and Frisk ate with the Dreemurrs for the first time. It was an interesting experience, as her presence had definitely livened up the table with chatter between, her, Chara, Brax, Asriel, and Toriel soon came. Asgore even joined in as him and Toriel teased their children before her…

They were currently playing a party based game as the three where in the middle of a mini-game, Asriel and Chara quickly learning that Frisk is very quick to learn new things, and even quicker to master.

"No nonono! Gah how?! I don't understand it… that is the seventh mini game you have dominated, Asriel, are you sure she didn't have this stuff before?" Chara says baffled at his loss in his best game, and by a mile… they let Frisk practice in the practice time and in the game she put everything she learned to use.

"Chara, I think we learned that already she didn't… I hate to say it; but Frisk is definitely a Queen of gaming in the near future." Asriel says as he flops back onto the floor. Frisk giving a weak laugh as she didn't know what to say or do…

"Sorry…" Chara shakes his head as he smiles.

"No, don't say that. Your fine, but damn I never expected someone to quickly adapt that fast, like I heard of people being damn skilled right out the gate sometimes, but to experience it; its scary." Chara says as he leans back. "So here for a full week, huh. Damn you two are moving fast…" He replies with a smirk getting Asriel to jolt up and Frisk to blush deeply.

"Chara im gonna knock you stupid!" Asriel growls as he holds his fist up. Chara just laughs as he stands up.

"You know im fuckin with you two… if you didn't make it so easy it wouldn't be as amusing." Chara says leaving the room causing Asriel to sigh, Frisk looks away and tries to calm her self.

'Why does that keep affecting me… I like him yes, but…' Frisk's fluster dies as Asriel turns to her.

"Sorry about that Frisk, atleast hes not being a total asshole anymore right?" Asriel asks as Frisk turns and nods gentle.

"Its nice, I think its easy to see he cares atleast… I think." Frisk says as she was entirely unsure what to think of Chara, he was still rather rude, but he seemed warmer than before, and especially after the attack. Asriel gives a small chuckle as he nods.

"Yeah, its nice to see him breaking through. Hes got a lot of hate still in him, but I see him working it." Asriel says as he sits up. "You wanna change games and play a co-op game?" Asriel ask as Frisk looks at her phone it was ten-thirty already as she shakes her head.

"Sorry, I am kinda exhausted after today, its been a venture and a half." She says getting a nod from her friend.

"Yeah, no joke." Asriel says as Frisk stands up and starts to leave. "Hey Frisk?" She stops and looks at him as he gives a gentle smile. "Thank you, I am not sure what happened exactly, but if it weren't for you… I would be dead."

"I… your welcome. I don't even remember what happened entirely, all I remember is seeing that barrel of his gun at you… then its all blank." Asriel frowns as he looks at her.

"It was definitely not a pleasant experience, I guess when its common you don't think it so much…" Asriel says softly, Frisk looks at him as she tilts her head.

"Common? This isn't the first time you've stared down a barrel?" Asriel's eyes widen slightly as he curses himself.

"Shit… yeah." He sits up as he looks at the time. "I can tell you more tomorrow okay? I don't want anything to keep you from sleeping well tonight. You deserve that much." Asriel says as he turns off the console and puts up his controllers.

Frisk nods as she smiles at him. "Alright, Good-night Asriel." Frisk says as she leaves his room. The sound of a door next to his open and close softly. Asriel lies on the floor as he groans.

"Me and my stupid mouth…" Asriel mumbles as a gentle chuckle comes from his door.

"It tends to happen when you get too comfortable." A deep voice says causing him to snap to the sounds. His father was standing there as he looks at him. "May I?" Asriel nods as Asgore walks in and closes the door.

"Dad i-" Asgore shakes his head.

"Its okay. I am glad your okay…" Asgore says as he takes a seat on Asriel's bed and motions for him to come take a seat next to him. Doing so Asriel notices how calm his father is. "I was so worried when your brother took off with Brax, and then I heard what happened, I won't lie Asriel, I was afraid. I know have not been the best father lately, but with my work for us all, I guess I took a little too much to heart of how important it was to see this done for my family." Asgore starts as Asriel looks at him.

"Its okay, your doing what you think is right, for the best of our kind, well now for everyone huh?" Asgore nods as he looks at Asriel.

"Yes. One day you will learn the truth of it, and hopefully we will make everything better for both Humans and Monsters." Asgore says as he sighs. "Don't worry about the money or the request. For your life, nothing can ever be priced to show how thankful I am to Frisk for you being here. I just wanted you to know that, so don't worry about it. We will figure something else out while you recover." Asgore says as he stands up.

"Okay, and father?" Asriel says getting his father's attention. "Thank you for worrying, and for helping me out all the time." Asgore smiles at his son and places his hand onto his shoulder.

"Anytime my son, rest well." Asgore says before taking his leave.

Later that night…

Asriel found himself staring at the ceiling, he hadn't been able to sleep at all, it didn't help he was out cold for so long in the past twenty-four hours, he felt like he needed to go for a run, but he couldn't now. He rolls over as he looks at the wall that was between him and Frisk, he was curious what her thoughts were on their situation, but Frisk seemed all quiet about it, part of him was worried she blames herself for it all.

"Frisk, should have never gotten the life she has…" Asriel says to no one as he sits up, he figures if he cant go for a run he can play-

"Don't go…" a soft voice reaches his ears… it was soft, and muffled. "I'm sorry…" The voice comes again, it was soft, but Asriel could definitely hear it. He stands up and listens before hearing slight sobbing, he follows it to his wall where it was the clearest and realizes its coming from Frisk's room. He quickly walks out of his room with his t-shirt and pajama pants on as he gentle knocks on her door.

"Frisk?" He asks, she doesn't respond, as he gentle opens the door and looks inside, Frisk's bed as against the wall that rested between their rooms. He walks softly to see her sobbing softly in her sleep, holding onto her pillow, face red with tears as he frowns. 'What has this world done… she has repressed so many bad memories they haunt her dreams.'

He takes a seat and places his hand on her head and begins to give it a gentle rub. Slowly rubbing her head she soon stops sobbing and holds onto the pillow for her dear life. Asriel frowns as he decides to stay in here for a bit more to keep her company, something he recalls doing for Chara, that his mother did for him when he had nightmares.

Frisk's eyes gently open slightly as she sees Asriel.

"Asriel?" She asks softly as he gives a soft shh sound.

"Its okay, get some sleep, I will be here till they go away okay?" He says as she softly nods and fades back into slumber, her head rolls up against his hand slightly as he smiles. It didn't take long for exhaustion to hit him as he soon found himself asleep, his head resting on the side of her bed and before long a soft snoring could be heard from him.

Before he knew it, sun was shining down into the room. Frisk was waking up to see Asriel's face as she vaguely remembers last night, her face flusters slightly before smiling at him… it had been over two years since her last nightmare, it had been over ten since the last nightmare her mother caught her having, and the gentleness of Asriel's kindness last night was something that soothed her thoughts.

Asriel groans as he sits up slowly, the pocking of his neck and back as he sits up and stretches, realizing he fell asleep in her room.

"oh uh… crap sorry Frisk, guess I passed out shortly after you did last night…" He says as he tries to stand, his legs still fast asleep.

"Its okay, thank you for last night, I didn't mean to wake you…" Asriel shakes his head.

"Nah I was wide awake when I heard you having that nightmare, you okay?" Frisk gentle nods as she looks at him.

"Yeah… I don't remember what it was even about now." Frisk says, Asriel felt like he knew why, the stress as it all came back and her past was not easy for anyone to handle, much less withstand it like she had.

"Well if you ever wanna talk about it you can…" Asriel says as Frisk nods. Soon silence insues as he felt uneasy. These silent moments really needed some work, Asriel rolls his eyes curiously as he gives a low hum. "Well do you like your room? Is there anything you need?" He asks trying to break the silence Frisk gives a light chuckle as she shakes her head.

"N-No, and please don't spend anymore money on me right now… I still feel bad enough for all you got me already." Asriel gives his own chuckle as he shakes his head.

"Its fine Frisk, I told you I wanted to. If you need anything truly you can always ask me." Frisk nods as she sighs. He wasn't going to give up with that for sure.

"Okay, Thank you Asriel…" Frisk says as she moves to the side her bed. She really didn't need anything so it didn't help. "...but truly right now I am good, this is more than enough." She says getting him to nod.

"Alright…" Silence

ensues again, ugh this was weird. "Hey is it weird how we ended up like this since we met?" He asks out of the blue, Frisk wasn't fully attention as she looks at him.

"What?" Asriel bolts up as he shakes his head.

"N-Never mind its not important." He says, his face warm from fluster. 'Why can I keep a good conversation with her? Like its annoying, but for some reason I can't help but enjoy these moments…' Asriel whines mentally as he stands up. "I should wash up before breakfast, see you downstairs." He says leaving the room, as Frisk sits there.

She smiles and nods as he leaves. Once gone her face started to heat up as she quickly finds her pillow's dry side on her face. 'Oh god, that was so embarrassing, why did I keep going silent?! Seriously, its just Asriel, why do I act this way, hes my friend… a boy who is my… maybe I should talk to Teina.' Frisk soon sighs as she follows Asriel's lead to wash up.

Downstairs Toriel was making breakfast for the family as Brax was blocking Chara's punches with some odd padded gloves in the living room, The large open room was fully open to the kitchen and dinning table, with numerous types of decorations about, some in particular was a few sets of sabers. The room was more than big enough for them to move about with ease with the coffee table pushed out of the way.

"Faster Chara, your martial arts are falling today." Brax says as blocks another hit.

"Shut up! Not my fault I sprained my ankle yesterday on that damn run." Chara says as he grunts with pain. Toriel smiles at her child trying to improve himself, even refusing to be healed up as he takes the pain he was having to heart.

"Then push harder. This is the training you want, this is what you get." Brax says, Asriel was soon walking down the stairs to stop and see Chara practicing his martial arts again.

"Back to the ring eh Chara?" Chara turns his head with a glare.

"I will sock you Asriel…" He says annoyed at his brother's words. "How you feeling?" He asks as he stops looking at Brax whom relaxes only for a swift punch to his arm getting a glare from the Dragon monster.

"I will get you back for that…" Brax says darkly as Chara chuckles.

"Worth it…" Chara replies, Asriel smirks at his brother before shaking his head.

It didn't take long for everyone to soon arrive at the table as Frisk joins soon after. Brax helping Toriel plate out the food as Asgore smiles at his children and guest.

"So you three ready for today?" Frisk looks curiously at Asgore whom smiles at them. Asriel's eyes widen as he pulls out his phone, Saturday…

"Wait so we are doing it now?!" Asriel asks with a big smile on his face, Asgore nods as he looks at Toriel.

"We figured it would be best, if we did so with Frisk in our care, since this is a special occasion." Toriel asks as she sees Chara's smirk grow.

"I am sorry… what is going on?" Frisk asks as Asriel looks at her.

"Every year we go on several trips to the woods or the Underground to practice magic and survival skills. Last time we did survival practice in the woods, meaning today is-"

"Magic Training in the Underground. Caroline will also be joining us when we go." Toriel says as Chara looks at them.

"Then why am I going, I can't really benefit from this you know…" Chara asks a little annoyed its one of the two he couldn't do. Toriel chuckles as she rubs Chara's head.

"That is why we will also have Undyne join us, you and Undyne will training hard this weekend." Chara's face pales as he leans back.

"Ugh is it too late to break my leg and stay home?" Chara asks getting a smirk from his mother.

"Yes, now eat up." Asgore says flatly as he sees Chara deflate with a frown. It was then a knock was on the door as Asriel goes to stand up Asgore raises his hand.

"Frisk, would you get that please, Asriel there is something I would like to say first…" Asgore starts as Frisk stands up to answer the door, only to be met with a blue skinned female with a toned body wearing a black suit, her left eye covered by an eye patch as her sole yellow eye locks onto Frisk, her fin-ears twitch as a shark-like grin grows on her face.

"So your the brat huh…?" The female says as her eye narrows, and felt very much unsafe suddenly.

"Asriel, during this I nee-" A loud crash, catching everyone's attention to Frisk being held up by her neck as the new comer held her against the wall, Asgore is to his feet in a snap, his eyes wide with anger, however that was before Asriel was next to the Fish-Monster a saber in his hand and against her neck his speed catching them all off-guard as he acts.

"Drop her. Now Undyne." Asriel says as Frisks eyes were filled with tears and fear watching Undyne hold her tightly with one hand while holding onto said hand trying to get free. Said Monster glares at Asriel as she snarls.

"You don't comm-" A snap in the air as Undyne looks to Asgore to see his own anger.

"Undyne. Now." He commands, Her expression widens as she does so before kneeling in the doorway. "Explain yourself now." He says while Asriel checks on the choking Frisk, struggling to get the air back into her lungs.

"If she could not defend herself against me, then she is-" Asgore gives a slight stomp to the ground, causing her to jump. "I have no excuse, apologies lord Asgore." She finishes keeping her eye to the floor.

"We will speak in my office now then. Toriel, apologies I will have to eat breakfast later." Asgore says as he looks to Undyne whom stands and follows quietly, Toriel rushes over as she checks on Frisk, whom barely started to breath again.

"I am so sorry Frisk, if I had know I would have opened the door instead." Asriel says as he rubs her back, Toriel frowns deeply at Undyne's actions as she tries to use some healing magic to ease what pain she had left. "I swear I will take that eye of hers if she does that again…" Asriel says angrily as Frisk slowly catches her breath entirely.

"Asriel…"

"No! This is bull mom, she overstepped herself heavily this time, I get she only listens to Asgore, but even she should know when to show proper manners!" Asriel says as a hand touches his arm, Frisk shakes her head.

"I-Its fine Asrie-" Asriel steels his eyes at Frisk.

"Sorry Frisk, but not this time. Your my friend, your in our home. This was unacceptable." Asriel says, Toriel sighs.

"Asriel is correct Frisk, don't defend those whom hurt you… it wont help you or them." Toriel says as she looks at Asriel. "Go help her get what she will need for the weekend will you Asriel? I am going to join the conversation with Undyne and Asgore." She says getting a nod from Asriel as he helps Frisk back up onto her feet.

Toriel stands up and walks down the hall towards a door that stood out in the home, its wood finish shined in the light as it seems more recently done than the rest of the home. Opening the door and walking in Asgore is in the middle of lecturing Undyne.

"-and in my own home none the less, I expect better of you Undyne! If it weren't the fact I need you to watch over them and protect them from another attack while in the Underground, I would personally send you to the hospital for a month!" Asgore says as he slams his hands onto his desk. Undyne was staring at the floor, a look of shame, and failure on her face.

"Add in the fact that this could harm how Frisk sees us in the future…" Toriel says as the two turn to see Toriel standing by the door. Asgore nods as he sits down and sighs.

"Undyne, what were you thinking? I want the truth." Undyne jolts in her spot.

"I have no excuse, with the rate of things, I don't feel like trusting a hu-" Asgore's hand raises.

"That would make sense, if Frisk was human. She is not and you would have known this with the last meeting we had with The Seven that you avoided." Asgore says as he narrows his eyes. "You best make your best to amend this this weekend, Frisk is very special to this family now, especially with the saving of Asriel, and with her hybrid nature, she may be the key to an everlasting peace with Humans and Monsters."

"Not only that, but I believe Asriel has deep rooted feelings forming for Frisk." Toriel says, Asgore nods as Undyne's head snaps up to Toriel.

"B-But that would mean-" Toriel nods.

"Yes, it would. However unlike other scenarios, he will survive." Asgore says. Undyne looks at Toriel as if looking for someone to counter his words.

"I approve of Frisk, saving not only Asriel, but she herself is a gentle soul, I am all for it- if they consent on their own." Toriel says sternly.

"But, that would also mean your-" Asgore shakes his head.

"Toriel told me this morning what Gaster has said, we no longer have to worry for ourselves, we have more than enough time now to make sure our people are well in the next hands.

Undyne goes to speak again as she turns to Asgore to see him raise his hand. She lets out a sigh. "As you wish Asgore…" She says, her tone carrying a small undertone of anger.

"If anything happens to Frisk, consider your life also at risk, the same risk that if Asriel were in her place. Remember, he did stand up to you with little effort today, more so than after… what happened last." Asgore says as Undyne nods. Asriel was not in the slightest intimidated by her the moment she took Frisk into her hand to harm her…

"I understand…" Undyne says as Toriel sighs.

"Now, onto another matter. As we said Frisk is a hybrid, yes. She is to be treated with the same respect as any Monster. The same goes for her mother, Caroline." Toriel says getting a look from Undyne.

"Didn't the report of Caroline say she died?" Asgore sighs as he looks at Toriel.

"I forgot that we never mentioned Caroline to any of them, Caroline was marked dead in the records to hide her… No Caroline isn't dead, but she is now something else. She was reborn as a Monster thanks to, unethical methods to say. She will also be there, play nice." Asgore says. Toriel nods in agreement. However to Undyne it didn't make much sense. You don't just turn from Human to Monster. She nods as she 'accepts it' however she was mentally just confused and felt like their actions were off.

'Why the hell are they protecting this brat… if she was this important why not give us the info in the first place?!' Undyne mentally growls as she looks to the floor kneeling again. "Anything else Lord?"

Meanwhile upstairs Asriel was sitting with Frisk whom was staying rather quiet. Asriel was helping her gather a few things appropriate for the Underground's interesting environments, however with her this quiet he knew she felt like she didn't belong…

"Hey Frisk, about last night…" Asriel says with a heavy sigh. "I think it would be best if I told you now then later…" He says getting Frisk to turn towards him, it was sudden as she listens.

"… I want to tell you the first time I had a gun put to me and my friends." He says, her eyes widen hearing this. "It happened nine years ago…"

"Me, Teina, and Fenor all were walking home from our school like usual… however little did we know that there was a Monster-Killer about, a person whom kills exclusively Monsters…" He says with a sigh as he looks towards the window. "We were running late already for dinner at my home, so we decided to take a short-cut to where Brax was supposed to meet us, that proved to be the worse choice I ever made. As as soon as we got halfway through the alley we took, we were jumped by a Human whom attacked us… its mostly a blur as the next thing I remember he held a gun to my head, ready to pull the trigger when Teina jumped on him and started to claw him with her talons."

"It was enough to force him to drop the gun, and he soon got Teina off him and onto the ground, Fenor tried to save her as I was still in shock from the gun to my head… I thought I was already dead that was till I heard it… He broke Fenor's arm and threw him into the wall before pinned Teina down and started to choke her… he was going to break her neck…" His words becoming drawn as his breaths increase in heaviness. Frisk saw his eyes staring at his hands.

"I… I attacked him, despite my goat-nature I have claws and I dug into his arm." His hands shaking in fear of reliving the memory, and then he felt disgust. Frisk quickly pieced it together as she knew this was hard on him… trauma never was easy to speak about. She reaches out to his hand slowly, as it touches his hand he jumps slightly in his spot to see her staring at his hands with worry. She takes one of his hands and holds it.

"You don't have to continue…" Frisk says realizing reliving this was not doing him any favors.

"No, its okay. I got him focused on me as he threw me off his arm and one again pulled his gun out at me." He says as he closes his eyes. 'I killed him by ripping his throat out…' He thinks as he mentally sighs. 'I can't tell her yet…' "However as luck would have it, Brax saved me that day, saved all of us."

"I'm sorry to have you relive that day Asriel…" Frisk says as he shakes his head.

"No, its a day I learned I needed to beable to protect others. Its just such a vivid memory for me." He says softly as Frisk gently smiles at him.

"I am glad you turned it for the better at the least.

"I… Thank you." Asriel says as he felt a bit of relief to tell her, though it was accompanied by regret, for lying to her. "It has been awhile since I spoke about this, Brax called in my mother and got us looked over after wards, I don't think I ever wanted to just stop living till that day." He says softly, Frisk frowns at his words, to think that all it took to want such a thing, was an unfortunate event.

A knock on the door as the two look up to see Toriel smiling at them.

"Sorry about breakfast you two… I already cleaned everything up so I will stop by and get us something to eat before we head to the Underground." Toriel says getting a nod from Asriel.

"Sounds good mom, we should be ready shortly." He says. Toriel nods and takes her leave before looks to Frisk.

"So what is this 'Underground'? Never heard of it till today…" Frisk says as she turns to look at Asriel.

"Not surprising, not many people know it even truly exists. It was an attempt to have a fallback plan during the original war between Human and Monsters. If we had gotten pushed far enough we'd retreat to hiding, though we learned most of the mages planned to seal us in there and if it wasn't for a change of plans we would have been, but we won and set in new rules of peace for the races… granted it was quite a bloodied war." Asriel says as he looks to the ceiling. "Infact it was a Human mage whom turned against her own family to save us. No one knows what happened to her, however I remember reading that she was possibly immortal… so she may still be alive. Ugh to live for thousands of years after betraying your family, I don't know how I would even handle it." Frisk nods in agreement. To betray your own family, your own kind was really messed up, however… she knew better than judge the mage, for who knows how bad it would have gotten if the Humans had won.

Frisk stands from her spot as she stretches her legs and arms. "Well we should finish up, I can take care of the rest on my end if you want to go pack up your things…" Asriel nods as he then stands himself.

"Yeah sounds like a plan, see you downstairs Frisk." Asriel says as he leaves the room. Frisk smiles at her friend as she feels the weight of her necklace from Gaster… She took a deep breath in and let it out slow as she feels her mind focus. 'This is my chance to grow… to make sure that my friends, never get hurt again.' It still felt weird to acknowledge friends, yet it put a smile on her face and warmth in her chest.
