"What is taking that girl so long?" Rosa looked at the clock as she sat at a table eating waffles. "I figured she'd be down here by now."
"Rena." Maria smiled as she sat in a high chair next to Rosa.
"You're wondering about where she is too?" Rosa smiled as she fed Maria.
"There's Rosa," Rena said as she walked down the hall. She wasn't sure how, but Rena knew she had to convince Rosa to stay for good. She ran over to the table.
"About time you showed up." Rosa giggled as she saw Rena coming closer. "I was worried you fell back asleep."
"Rena!" Maria smiled as she reached towards her.
"Sorry about that." Rena smiled as she grabbed a couple of waffles and practically inhaled them.
"I didn't know you were that hungry." Rosa raised an eyebrow as she watched her eat.
"Oh, don't worry about that." Rena smiled as she lifted Maria from the chair and grabbed Rosa's hand. "Come on! We have so many fun things to do today!"
"Rena, what's…" Rosa was cut off by Rena dragging her along. As Rena dragged Rosa out of the hotel, a person at the front desk was dealing with someone yelling at them over the phone. Rena increased her speed, knowing who was on the other end.
"And we're here!" Rena smiled as they stood outside a store.
"Where did you even drag me?" Rosa looked at the store.
"It's the toy store where they have competitions." Rena smiled. "The club sometimes comes here to hang out and play games. This is also where Keiichi won that doll he gave to Mion."
"I see." Rosa smiled. She followed Rena inside the store.
"Oh, hi there, Rena?" The clerk smiled at her.
"Hi." Rena waved.
"Just yourself today?" He raised an eyebrow at her. "Where's the rest of the club?"
"I'm spending the day with my new friend." Rena smiled as she pointed at Rosa.
"Hi, I'm Rosa." Rosa waved. "Rena's been helping me since I came here."
"I didn't think you looked familiar." The clerk lightly laughed. "Feel free to play any of our games while you're here."
"Thank you." Rosa smiled as she followed Rena to the shelves with different games.
"How bout something simple?" Rena held up one of the games.
"Checkers?" Rosa smiled. "Sure. That would be fun."
Rena set up the game while Rosa found a high chair to sit Maria in. Once the game was up, Rosa started the game.
"So your club plays different games?" Rosa smiled.
"Yep." Rena made her move.
"How'd your club start anyways?" Rosa raised an eyebrow.
"Rika asked Mion if there was a way to help Satoshi and Satoko, and Mion came up with the club." Rena smiled. "Since then, all of us have gotten together to play games and punish the loser."
"What about Keiichi?" Rosa jumped over one of Rena's pieces.
"He had just moved here recently." Rena jumped over two of Rosa's. "He feels like he's always been a part of the group since he showed up."
"That's nice." Rosa smiled before moving her piece to the end of the board. "King me."
"There you go." Rena placed another one of Rosa's pieces on hers.
"So Rika did that all for Satoko and her brother?" Rosa raised an eyebrow, pausing for a moment.
"Yep." Rena smiled. "Rika's always been caring to everyone. She's probably close to Satoko 'cause she's always trying to help her."
"Is that so?" Rosa continued the game. "From what I saw, Satoko can handle a lot on her own."
"Like taking care of an adorable baby?" Rena smiled as she turned to Maria. "Satoko takes good care of you, doesn't she?"
"Rena." Maria smiled back.
"Maybe not as good as I do, but still, she does a good job." Rena giggled.
"Satoko does a wonderful job." Rosa smiled as she continued. "Besides you, Satoko is probably the best with Maria."
"If you moved here, you'd have the both of us to watch Maria for you." Rena smiled as she moved her piece to the end of the board. "King me."
"I thought you were leaving me alone about moving here." Rosa giggled as she put another piece on Rena's.
"Sorry, but you know I love spending time with Maria." Rena turned to look at Maria again. "I wouldn't mind babysitting her, and I'm pretty sure Satoko would feel the same."
"Well, if I did move here, I'll keep that in mind." Rosa sighed as she made a move. "And that's game."
Rena looked at the board and saw that no matter what move she made, she would immediately be jumped.
"I guess you got me." Rena sighed as she dropped her shoulders.
"Guess that means you have to face punishment now." Rosa giggled. "Isn't that how things work?"
"Rosa." Rena's eyes got wide as she frowned at her. "You want to punish me?"
"Isn't that your rules?" Rosa smiled as she got up and picked up Maria.
"What did you have in mind?" Rena looked up at Rosa as she stayed sitting.
"You'll see." Rosa smiled. "Mind putting this game away? We need to head to the clothes store."
Rena blushed as she slowly did what Rosa said. Once she was done, Rena followed her to the clothing store, as she said.
"Why are we here?" Rena kept frowning as Rosa looked through a clothes rack.
"Here we are." Rosa smiled as she held up a sleeveless yellow and white striped dress that matched Maria's. "This is perfect for you."
"Me!?" Rena blushed heavily.
"Last night, you told me you wish Maria were your little sister." Rosa giggled. "What's cuter than two sisters wearing matching outfits?"
"Why did I have to tell you that?" Rena groaned.
"Oh, stop stalling and put it on." Rosa giggled as she handed the dress over. Rena took it and walked to one of the changing rooms.
"This is so embarrassing." Rena blushed as she held the dress up to the mirror.
Rena recalled Rosa telling her about last night and how she supposedly told her she wished Maria was her little sister. She sighed, realizing it was her fault if she said that, and changed into the dress like Rosa told her.
"Rosa?" Rena slowly came out and looked towards where Rosa was. However, she was gone. Rena then walked out of the changing area, trying to find her. "Rosa? Where'd you go, go?"
"I knew that dress would look adorable on you." Rosa giggled behind her.
"Rosa?" Rena turned around, and her jaw dropped as she looked at Rosa.
"I thought that would be your reaction." Rosa smiled as she held Maria. While Rena was changing, she grabbed the same dress that was her size and put it on, too. "I liked what you picked out for me, but I thought all of us matching would be more fun today."
"You wanted all of us to match?" Rena frowned.
"I didn't tell you the whole truth." Rosa sighed. "You didn't just say you wished Maria was your sister. You also told me you wished I was your mom."
"I said that!?" Rena's face turned completely red.
"I thought after all the work you've done helping me and taking care of Maria, this would be my way of saying thank you." Rosa smiled. "And also telling you that you're someone I deeply care about."
"Rosa…" Rena smiled.
"Doesn't Rena look adorable while matching with us?" Rosa smiled at Maria.
"Rena!" Maria reached out to Rena again. Rena walked over and hugged both Maria and Rosa.
"You both mean a lot to me too." Rena smiled.
"I appreciate that." Rosa patted her on the back. "So what would you like to do now?"
"Oh, there's something I want to show the both of you." Rena broke the hug.
"And what's that?" Rosa raised an eyebrow.
"My treasures."
