"Okay, okay," Victoria said. "Next crazy theory."
"Do we have to do this?" Amy asked.
"No, but it's helping me remember this stuff," Victoria replied. "Okay, so the next theory is actually one based on, you know, people like us. Second generation capes."
"I'm a weird second gen," Amy protested. "Or just a first gen."
"Okay, me and Crystal and Eric then," Victoria amended. "Second gens. Point is, it's people who have powers similar to someone else. Like how, uh, Allfather is supposed to have been Kaiser's dad, and their powers are kind of similar. But the theory is, powers have kids too. Sometimes by themselves, sometimes with other power."
"This is a really weird theory," Amy muttered.
"The module's about crazy theories, well, hypotheses really," Victoria countered. "Anyway… it's never exactly the same, like how Shielder and Laserdream aren't the same as Lady Photon's power. And sometimes when they're a mix they're weirder, but… anyway, uh, what kind of thing would a mixture of our powers be?"
Amy went red.
"Victoria!" she protested, insisting to herself that it was embarrassment she was feeling.
Victoria shrugged, helplessly. "I'm just, uh-"
She paused.
"Wait."
"What?" Amy demanded.
"So you do healing, right?" Victoria said. "Changing bodies, basically. And mine include strength and a forcefield."
"Yeah?" Amy replied. "So?"
"That's literally Browbeat," Victoria pointed out. "Fuck. How does that work?"
Amy did a double-take.
"...could be a coincidence?" she suggested. "But yeah, that is kind of weird…"
