"That's the last of it," Allison said looking around the basement suite.

"The uhaul and my truck are full so is your car," Asher replied.

"We got the furniture set up yesterday," Allison replied, "it's only the furniture from Evs room that we had to move."

"90 percent is her stuff," Asher replied, "and the house is so much more accessible for her."

"Ready munchkin," Owen asked, walking downstairs.

"I guess," Allison replied.

"It's okay," Owen said, "you can always always come home. I'm going to miss you. Mom and I bought this house when she was pregnant with you. You've been in this house as long as we have. It's weird that you won't be here. I know it's time but I'm going to miss all of you."

"What if it doesn't work," Allison asked.

"It will work and if it doesn't you come home," Owen said, "all three of you or you and Ev you can always come home."

Allison nodded with tears in her eyes.

"You're ready," Owen assured, "you've been ready for a while. Allison this will be great, you are always great because you are you."

"It's a lot of change," Allison said, "moving, starting as an intern, being on our own."

"You are going to be amazing because you always have been," Owen assured, hugging her.

"But," Allison started.

"No," Owen said, "that never. Allison, you are incredible munchkin. You are the strongest of all of you. You have this."

"I can do this," Allison took a deep breath.

"Lets go," Owen agreed, "mom and I will help you move stuff in then let the three of you set up and get organised."

"Okay," Allison agreed.

They drove to the new house a three bedroom 1800 square foot rancher that had been at the top of their price range but had required minimal renovations only in the bathroom Everly would use changing the bathtub to a shower to increase her independence and adding a shower bench. The open floor plan in the living area allowed Everly to move freely and the front door was level with the sidewalk. The small back porch had three steps down to the back yard but Asher had already built a ramp to let Everly go play in the yard. There was an overgrown garden in the far corner that Allison planned to bring back to life, she still loved her garden and making flowers and food for her family grow. She had been thrilled to find apple and plum trees along with raspberry bushes in the yard.

"Mom,' Allison asked as they walked into the house.

"It's perfect for your family,' Teddy smiled, "Allison it's right and it's time.'

"Ev can be independent here," Allison said, "she can have freedom and reach everything but the top of the pantry we could set things up to make her even more independent even if she's tired and it's a wheel chair day."

"Those don't happen often," Teddy replied.

"Not upstairs but at home after school yes," Allison replied, '2-3 days a week at least. It's not she can't or she won't, it's her endurance. And we could push it but at home I want her happy and comfortable. We pushed so hard for Ev to walk at all and she's most confident on her crutches so we go with it. She's old enough now to say what works for her and what doesn't. She has to be as independent as possible but with in her abilities."

"She is," Teddy assured, "she's more independent then they said she would be. You've done great and worked so hard with her."

"She's good," Allison said.

"Mom," Everly yelled from her new room, "I need help."

"Coming," Allison called back.

"I can't put something on the top shelf," Everly yelled.

"I know," Allison replied as she walked into the room, "it's above your head."

"If I was normal," Everly asked.

"You wouldn't reach the top shelf," Allison replied, 'and we're not worrying about being normal. You are you and amazing just how you're made."

"But at school," Everly said.

"No," Allison replied, "those bullies that say it don't know you, they are mean and wrong. They are so wrong princess."

"But," Everly said.

"I know their words hurt but they don't know you," Allison said.

"My legs are broken," Everly pouted.

"Sometimes they're not as strong as other kids but that doesn't mean they're broken and your getting stronger all the time," Allison assured, "you will get stronger you're not using your chair as much."

"I want to at school because it's easier but kids laugh at me," Everly replied.

"It's your choice," Allison replied, "if you want to dad and I will support you we will do what is best for you. You have to feel good."

Owen and Asher brought in more of the stuff with help from Jonah and Josh.

"Everything is in," Asher replied, 'not we need to un pack."

"Do you want help,' Annie offered.

"We're good," Asher replied, 'the three of us need to do it together and make it our home."

"You do," Teddy agreed, 'we'll go and see you tomorrow for Sunday dinner our house."

"Yes," Allison agreed.

Everyone said their good byes and Allison and Asher worked together with a bit of help from Everly to get their new home organised. That night they ordered pizza no one feeling like cooking and not having groceries in the house.

"We're really grown ups,' Allison said as her and Asher sat on the couch after tucking Everly in.

"We are," Asher agreed, 'in our own home."

"We did it," Allison beamed cuddling against him.

"We did," Asher agreed, 'we bought a place, we got through an apprenticeship, college and med school."

"You're starting project management online in the fall," Allison replied.

'Just one at a time," Asher replied.

"But you'll do it and get your project managers," Allison said.

"I will," Asher agreed, 'we will have it all babe."

"We already do," Allison smiled, 'now Ev is asleep how about we go christen our new room."

"Lets go,' Asher smiled picking Allison up off the couch and carrying her to their room, kicking the door shut behind him.
