Hello, Stargate fans!

Thank you for the new follows and support.

I'm not sure if I like these two episodes, but they are pretty great in terms of that we have Samantha Carter back on the Stargate team. However, I did hated how they had put aside Tori Higginson's Elizabeth Weir and her storyline.

I didn't write much on these two chapters, only minor moments with the OC character I created. And the episodes themselves are pretty emotional already, so just wanted to give a little bit more, especially the way the OC and John interact.

Chapter 5: Episodes 4x01/4x02

Damages have been made.

Either on a physical form or an emotional one.

John was trying to save Atlantis and he felt he was failing at the job.

He just wanted something to go right as he came up with the Puddle Jumpers plan to destroy the meteors barrier coming up ahead.

"I can help."

The pilot turned around from the window and started to walk to the jumpers bay area.

"You're not a pilot."

Alexandra rolled her eyes. Jaw set, shoulders tense, a walk that demanded anyone to follow with no questions asked.

"Sheppard, you do know we have a jumper back at the SGC. Plus, I do have the gene."

John stopped which in turn made her break her pace almost upon him. He narrowed his eyes. How come he didn't know that? But then again, he had never read her file.

"You never told me that."

"I guess it never came up. And this is a conversation for another time." She gave him a look. He couldn't place it, but it was determined and almost commanding.

Somehow that look relaxed him enough and John made a movement for her to follow him to one of the jumpers.

"Here. Sit. These controls..." He started, not helping to lead her, explaining how it worked. Alexandra let him, knowing he needed it to get it out of his system, to make him feel in control of something.

"John?" Her hand landed on his arm after a moment. "I got it. I'm no pilot but I got it. I worked on the one SGC has.

The Lt. Colonel hazel eyes found hers for a second and nodded. Jaw set once again.

"We'll get Atlantis to safety. I promise." The former major said softly, seeing him retreat towards the exit of the jumper they were in.

"You'll have to tell me about the gene once this is over." He said merely giving her a turn of his head.

"Yes, sir." She teased.

After a moment of hesitation, John left and went to his own jumper, giving instructions and orders through the coms.

Alexandra gave a deep breath and let her instincts take control of the jumper.

Then, she simply watched as they made their way through the cluster of meteors, letting the Lost City pass barely unscathed.

However, as that threat subsided and once the jumper team returned to Atlantis, John found out that Rodney, Teyla and Ronon had awakened Elizabeth with the help of her dormant nanobots.

John had been furious, up until the point that his SG team told him they were planning an assault on Asura to retrieve ZPM's and give power to the ancient city to navigate throughout the stars.

Little did they know that, eventually, someone was going to be lost to them.

Atlantis arrived to her new destination, not without a rough landing first.

And a key member of the original team lost.

As she walked through the corridors of the city, trying to help as best as she could and watching people do their jobs and get back to a normal state, Alexandra thought about her decision to stay there after Samantha Carter left earlier in the evening.

She felt it was the right thing to do after what had happened back on Earth, with Adria and the Ark of Truth.

At some point, the scientist came upon the control room and nodded at Chuck as she looked towards Elizabeth's office. The door to the balcony was open.

There, she found John, leaning against the railing, quietly looking at the two moons the new planet possessed.

"I'm sorry about Elizabeth, John." Alexandra said softly, finally the words coming out as she hadn't seen him after the team came back from Asura.

"I'll find her." John retorted, not looking at her.

"I know you will." His hazel eyes found hers at her conviction. "I've read your file. Your reports. And hers. And I know you won't give up. And I'll help."

"You're staying?" Half of his body turned to her, surprised.

"I am."

At her simple words, John merely nodded, looking back at the ocean.

"Dr. Weir… Elizabeth was… is a force of nature. A good leader. I remember when she arrived the first time at the SGC, not knowing what to do or how to give the right orders. And after Antartica, she made sure the SGC run smoothly like it was supposed to be. And she made something only few people were able to do."

John turned his eyes back at Alexandra. Curiosity was etched in them.

"What did she do?"

"She stood up against Senator Kinsey when he wanted the SGC in complete civilian hands. But she turned the tables on him and stood side by side with SG-1 and the military. And everyone respected her after that. Even today."

The colonel smiled at the good memory of his friend and leader.

"She is a good friend and she did what friends do best. Just think like that." Alexandra saw him give a tense nod. "We'll find her. I promise."

For a moment, Alexandra kept still and gave him a soft tap on his shoulder before leaving.

"You still haven't told me about the gene." He looked over his shoulder.

"I'm an O'Neill, am I not?" She gave him a quick smile and shrug, leaving the balcony and John to his musings.

I hope you enjoyed it!

Just didn't want to delve too much into the episodes. It's hurtful enough.
