Allison felt frozen. Like she couldn't move or think or feel but she knew she had to. She got up and showered, pulling her hair into a braid while it was still wet. Looking at her watch it was already 10 but none of the kids had come to get her. Her parents must still have them. There was a soft knock at the door.

"Allie," Teddy called softly, "dad took all three kids out for the day. You have time baby girl."

"Carly needed to nurse," Allison said.

"We gave her a bottle," Teddy assured, "I know where to find your pumped stash. The sedative you took last night you should let clear through your system before you breast feed. Pump if you want but I'd wait."

"I'm going to," Allison said, "I'm sore."

"Do you want breakfast," Teddy offered.

"No," Allison said, "I'm not hungry."

"Come out of the room baby," Teddy coaxed, "you're home. You're safe here. Dad and I will stay and help until you're ready."

"I have to talk to the police again today," Allison said.

"In a couple hours," Teddy reassured, "at least have something to drink. Rehydrate."

"It's my fault," Allison said, "if I Hadn't gone or had a glass of wine."

"Allie I saw your blood work your blood alcohol was negligible," Teddy replied, "I'm guessing you had a small glass with dinner and just sipped it."

"Just a 6 ounce glass," Allison said, "I didn;t want much."

"You just like a little once in a while and thats okay," Teddy assured, "and last night is not your fault. It never has been and never will be. I've been there Allie blaming myself for things a man did when he was out of control."

"Annie," Allison asked.

"I think I've told you Steven forced me on a few occasions," Teddy replied, "I thought thats what a relationship was but I was young and dumb. You are not going to go through that. You are an adult. Allison you are not to blame."

"Everyone will blame me," Allison said, "Asher was away, I went out in a mixed group, I had a drink, I wore a skirt."

"You did nothing wrong," Teddy reiterated, "no one will blame you. He is wrong. What he did is sexual assault. He is in the wrong not you."

"I'm not going back there," Allison said, "I can't."

"Joes or the hospital," Teddy questioned.

"Both," Allison said, "I need help putting together my resume and application package for a new fellowship to finish my last 4 months."

"You can research and use the UW labs and ORs," Teddy suggested, "until your ready. But you will always be welcome and wanted at GSM. Don't let his absolute stupidity ruin something good for you. You are wanted there and respected."

"We've debated moving to give ash more opportunity when I finish so it might be okay, Allison replied.

"Don't run away because of him," Teddy said, "Allison hold your head up high and when your ready walk back into that hospital. You did nothing wrong. Megan wants to speak with you later."

"Not today," Allison replied.

"She'll come here if you want but you need to talk to her," Teddy said, "Allie she's your aunt. She loves you and you are safe with her. Talk to Megan. Let us all help you sweetheart."

Allison broke down sobbing, "the only person that can make me feel safe is in ass crack Alaska!"

"We'll get him home," Teddy said.

Allison shook her head, "he'd have to restart if he comes home early. We only have a few weeks left. I'll just stay home until he's home."

"You are not hiding in this house for the next 6 weeks," Teddy said.

"But I'm not working," Allison replied.

"What do you want to do today," Teddy asked.

"If I kill James will you help me hide the body," Allison asked.

"You are not committing murder," Teddy said, "I'll help you ruin his life. I'll help you kill his career. But we won't stop his heart."

"How," Allison asked.

"You tell the truth," Teddy replied, "I heard rumors about him from nurses before I retired. Megan's heard things through the grapevine about him and interns or medical students. You have solid evidence. You gave them DNA evidence. I've been talking to the police. There's security footage of the parking lot last night that shows what happened. Allison, he'll go to jail."

"I can't see people," Allison said, "people will think I'm a slut. People have always thought that and now theres proof."

"Allison you are not slut," Teddy said, "you never have been and never will be. People will not judge you for this. You are in the right."

"But I don't feel like it," Allison said, "I feel dirty and wrong."

"We can work through that," Teddy assured, "Allie what do you need?"

"Asher," Allison whispered, "I need Asher but it's not a choice."

"It is a choice," Teddy said, "you can ask him to come home. I know you said you would be fine but this hasn't been easy on you or fair to you."

"Asher going we planned," Allison said, "me being attacked right after Leo was an ass. He's still not talking to me."

"I know he's being unreasonable," Teddy agreed.

"He's thought I was a whore for the last 16 years," Allison said, "now he'll really think I'm one. Leo's never forgiven me for getting pregnant at 17. He's always thought of me as a whore. And now I really am one. A guy who isn't my husband kissed me. Touched my ass and my boobs. It's cheating."

"No it's not," Teddy said, "you did not choose to do so. You were not a willing participant."

"But no one will see it that way," Allison yelled, "it's always my fault! It's always been my fault!"

"It is not your fault," Teddy assured, "no one is going to be mad at you or judge you for this."

"My kids," Allison asked, "how do I tell my kids."

"The truth," Teddy said, "appropriately. Everly needs to be taught to be aware and defend her self."

"But I wasn't," Allison said.

"You said no," Teddy replied, "you fought back."

"But he still," Allison said.

"He did and it was so wrong I don't have words for it," Teddy replied, "he will face the consequences of his actions."

"But so will I," Allison said.

"Yes you will," Teddy replied, "but you will have a lot of people on your side and in your corner."

"Who's going to judge me," Allison asked.

"No one will judge and punish you," Teddy assured, "support, cheer you on but not judge or condemn."

"And if they do," Allison asked.

"They're as bad as James," Teddy replied.

"How do I be normal for my kids," Allison asked.

"You let dad and I help," Teddy said, "we should have been here the whole time Asher has been away. I'm sorry Allie."

"I understand somewhat," Allison replied, "Leo and Theresa needed support."

"But not how we did it," Teddy replied, "we didn't do that well I'm sorry."

"Apology accepted," Allison forced a smile.

"We'll work though it," Teddy promised.

"How," Allison asked.

"One step at a time," Teddy assured.
