Chapter Forty-Two

Reporting The Vision

Meanwhile, Tyroth, Devina, Jack and Dahila watched Monalisa and Leonardo sitting crosslegged opposite each other.

Tyroth, Devina and Jack watched intently yet Dahlia was confused.

Even though she was aware of how Tyroth and the Hamato Clan meditated, mainly to focus as part of their training as they were very spiritual, yet she couldn't quite get how they were to look for Pandora is way.

Tyroth focused hard on his two friends before him, then he saw a couple of tears fall from Monalisa's eyes and his stomach clenched as he began to realize that what they were seeing in their vision was not pretty.

Jack and Devina also noticed and they exchanged worried looks.

"This doesn't look good." Devina said then glanced upwards at the ninjet where the others were waiting.

Just then, Monalisa and Leonardo gasped as they opened their eyes and looked up at Tyroth, Devina, Dahlia and Jack, their faces pale and their eyes full of tears.

Tyroth instantly dropped down to them and placed his paws on their backs ready to comfort them.

"What is it?" he asked, his voice full of urgency "What did you see?"

Monalisa swallowed hard and lowered her head as she tried not to break down yet it was impossible as the tears fell and her heart broke.

Tyroth pressed his lips together as he rubbed her back and secretly wished he had brought Sephie with him to give Monalisa support and he looked over at Leonardo with the look of 'Well?'

Leonardo took a few deep breaths and gathered his courage before telling Tyroth what he saw whilst the others listened in.

"...She wasn't her…." he said "She….She wasn't her."

"Wasn't her?" Tyroth asked.

"What are you talking about man?" Jack asked.

Dahlia and Devina just frowned.

"What does he mean?" Dahlia asked to which Devina shrugged.

Leonardo sighed and shook his head.

"We saw everything." he said "Diablo's brainwashed her! He's turned her into a Disciple! She was laughing, she was enjoying torturing the victims! Those neo nazi's! She doesn't given go by her own name!"

"Wait what?" Devina asked.

"Not by her own name?"

"Aurora." Leonardo reported "She called herself Aurora."

"A new name…" Jack said "Just like we Mutopians…."

Tyroth said nothing yet his eyes blazed and Leonardo felt scared looking at the dragon's face.

He had seen him angry before, and it always frightened him.

"That Raven…." he said "He's pushed it! He's crossed the line! Not only has he taken Pandora from us at her most vulnerable, but he's brainwashed her! Who knows what he's told her!"

"If I know that raven!" Jack growled "More than likely he's poisoned her against us! given what happened and what she must have told him, he must have used the whole 'it's okay, we'll take care of you, forget your family, forget all you know'."

"I've heard of that before." Dahlia said then sighed "I remember having a young girl being brought into the emergency room having suffered a miscarriage and she had a pimp who had said the same thing to her." she sighed again "She had run away from home and had ended up being recruited into a prostitution ring."

"A runaway?" Jack asked then he thought of his old life and how he had crossed prostitution rings where men had targeted vulnerable women and young girls and brought them into their business to make money out of them.

"You saying Pandora was recruited by the Disciples and they pretty much said what a pimp would say to a vulnerable girl?" Devina asked, her red eyes wide.

"My brother…"

Tyroth and the others looked to Monalisa who despite her tears and heartbreak, she was starting to show pure anger.

"My brother….how could you? How could you do this?"

"Mona?" Tyroth asked in a worried voice.

As much as he was furious over what Leonardo had told him, he hadn't seen what they saw and he could only guess Monalisa's wrath.

"He took her, he took my baby! Turned her into a Disciple! Took her away! He took her away from me!"

It was then the lizard lady looked up and Tyroth and the others almost fell back with fear as they saw the look in her tearful blue eyes.

"He's gone too far." Monalisa murmured "He's gone too far, he's already betrayed me, he betrayed me when he hurt you guys, then fled Mutopia, now he's stolen my child!" she bellowed the last part making the others flinch and her voice echoed around the woods.

"He stole my child! Stole her from me! And he's gonna pay!" she spat as she stood up then took out her fans before flicking them open.

"I hope we find him soon!" she said "Because when we do….I'll make him pay! When we find him! I'm gonna kill him!"

Tyroth blinked in shock as he listened and Leonardo couldn't help but feel that he was seeing the old Monalisa return, the lizard lady whom he and his brothers had found almost eighteen years ago, lost and alone in New York and vengeful, wanting the blood of those who had ruined her life, and now he was seeing the same wrath, this time for her younger brother.

He couldn't help but feel saddened, not only because this was the third time that Diablo, once Callum had broken her heart, but rather that he had broken it worse than he had before, it was bad enough he had gone off the rails and did badly in his life after she had vanished, and after he had mutated due to Monalisa saving his life after he was almost murdered by the Shredder that he attacked the Mutopians and his brothers and sensei and fled the sanctuary, but now he had taken Pandora away from her, from him, from everyone.

Up in the Ninjet, everyone had been waiting for Tyroth, Devina, Jack, Dahlia, Leonardo and Monalisa to return and they were getting impatient.

Jun jiggled his feet as he waited.

"What's taking them so long?" he demanded.

"Searching takes time you know Stripes!" Sharky said looking over his shoulder at the mutant tiger.

"Yeah! They got to search for clues, and Jack and your girlfriend are doing their best to find the scent!" Sarah added.

"Yeah! Same with Tyroth and Devina!" Heather said.

"Yeah! They're not laying down on the job!" Percy quipped.

Raphael meanwhile just stared out of the window.

He was frustrated he couldn't join in the conversation as he was still mute and even with his sign language he wouldn't be able to get his point across is everyone wasn't looking at him so he just leaned his head against the window and squeezed his eyes shut as he prayed that his mate, his brother, Tyroth, Jack and Dahlia could find clues to locating Pandora.

"I know what I would choose if I had the choice." he thought to himself "I would happily stay mute, if it means getting my daughter back, I don't care if I never talk again, I just want my baby girl back, that's my only wish! Fuck! I would even give up my life, all I own, I'd sell my soul to the devil, just to get my precious child back!" he banged his forehead against the window as he thought that last part.

Yet as he did, he heard a yelling echo from below in the woods and he sat bolt upright as he looked through the glass and down into the dark woods.

In fact, everyone else stopped talking as they heard the same sound as the door was still open and they heard the echoing cry as clear as a bell.

"What was that?" Heather asked.

"I don't know…" James said as he leaned forward towards the open door.

Jake meanwhile went pale as he listened and recognized the agonizing cry of his sister and he squeezed Amber's hand.

Amber saw his stroken look and she lifted her other hand to cup his cheek.

"Jake?" she asked.

Jake looked over to her and she saw the tears in his eyes behind his glasses.

Amber squeezed his hand and stroked his cheek wondering what she could do or even say to comfort him until she heard the flapping of wings and she soon saw her brother return along with Monalisa, Leonardo, Devina, Jack and Dahlia.

"Guys!" Donatello exclaimed leaning forward in his seat.

"What happened down there?" Percy asked.

"What did you find?" Kemeko asked anxiously as she saw her father, then she saw Monalisa holding the black feather.

"Is that…?" she asked to which Leonardo nodded as Tyroth shut the doors behind them.

"One of the Raven's feathers?" Sarah followed up.

"Yes." Tyroth said as he looked grimly at Monalisa who looked at them with dead eyes and dirty tear marks around her eyes.

"Sis?" Jake asked in worry as he unbuckled his seat belt and walked over to Monalisa despite Amber trying to stop him.

"What happened?" he asked as he took Monalisa's hands and the lizard lady's knee's buckled and she dropped to the floor.

At the same time, Raphael saw Monalisa and also went over signing with his hands yet no-one could pick up what he was trying to say as he was waving his hands about in a panic.

Sephie instantly placed her hands on Raphael's paws much to his frustration.

"Calm down!" she said "We can't understand you!"

Tyroth looked to Leonardo who sighed.

"We used the same meditation technique like I used on Monalisa years ago to find her killers to look for Pandora." he reported.

"You did?" everyone cried in unison.

"What did you see?" the geckolings followed up "Is she okay?"

Leonardo narrowed his eyes.

"She's alive, and she's not hurt, but…" he practically forced out the words that were sour thorns in his mouth.

"She's a willing Disciple!" he practically yelled.

"A Disciple!?" everyone shouted apart from Raphael who attempted to yell yet again only a hissing sound could be heard.

"No! No way!" Freya cried "Not Pandora! No!"

"No! She can't be!" Kemeko followed up.

Donatello shook his head in disbelief yet Michelangelo's eyes widened.

"No! Not my Little Geisha!" he cried "She wouldn't have willingly followed Diablo! She wouldn't!"

"I'm afraid she did Mikey." Leonardo said "She joined in with torturing the Neo Nazi's they snatched from the Motel, she was even involved with murdering the one who got hit by the car!"

"No way!" everyone exclaimed.

"Yes way…" Leonardo replied "And she doesn't even call herself Pandora." he added "She goes by Aurora."

"She changed her name?" Loki exclaimed.

"It stands to reason that Diablo has brainwashed her." Tyroth said.

Sephie sighed and looked at Raphael who had clenched his fists and was growling in anger yet again he couldn't express with words then looked over at Jake and Monalisa who were hugging each other in devastation and anger.

"I've heard of such things before." She said "Some people do take advantage of those most vulrenable! Pandora was indeed vulrenable, she knew what she did was wrong when she went out in search for Hanako despite her reasons, and possibly, after she was found by the Disciples, she was too afraid to come home, thus they recruited her! Playing on her emotions!"

"Brother…" Jake murmered "What have you done? How could you?" he looked at his sister crying in his arms then saw her look up.

"Jake." Monalisa said "I want to make him pay! He's had his chance! He must be stopped! He must pay, with his life!"

Jake was shocked at his sisters words.

He never imagined Monalisa would be willing to kill her own brother, yet come to think of it, Callum had died a long time ago, he had died the day the Shredder had stabbed him that fateful night over nine years ago.

There was only Diablo, and Diablo wasn't the brother they knew, he wasn't the youngest Freeman brother who looked up to his older siblings, who asked Monalisa to help him with his schoolwork or stand up to the bullies, he wasn't the one they went on camping trips with in the summer, or played video games on Saturday afternoons, or decorated the Christmas tree together before sitting down to gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate.

No, those were memories, and Callum was gone, only Diablo remained, and this time the raven had betrayed them further, by brainwashing Pandora, the only child of his sister, her and Raphael most precious possession and this was a bridge too far.

With tears in his eyes, Jake nodded and held his sister close, part of him didn't want to kill his brother, and he hoped deep down Monalisa still had those feelings that he shouldn't be killed, that he was still her youngest brother, but the rage and heartbreak was just too strong, and he knew it, that is was only a matter of time before the final straw broke the camel's back.

So after seeing what she and Leonardo saw in their meditation, Monalisa is willing to kill Diablo for brainwashing her daughter, at least that's what she thinks.

After nine years of defending her brother and not wanting to kill him despite his actions, this is for sure the final nail in the coffin, the line has been crossed, the limit has been reached.
