Welcome to UA High. In a world where about 80 percent of the population has some kind of superpower called a Quirk, this prestigious school was built to train the heroes who protect our citizens.

Everyone with a Quirk aims to get into UA. This school promises bright futures of anyone who graduates from here.

Many of the world's top champions have walked these halls. Now we're both students here. My name is Izuku Midoriya.

And I'm his sister, Izuka Midoriya.

And we're working hard to fulfill our dreams of being true heroes.

Just like the greatest hero in the world, All Might.

We want to become people who save others with smiles on our faces. This is the story of how we became the greatest heroes in the world!

"Welcome back to our summer special," A newscaster announced while sitting next to All Might, who was wearing a suit. "All Might: The Journey from Number One Hero to UA High School teacher. Today, we'll be looking back on All Might's achievements, and his incredible rise to f-"

The TV cut off there as someone had turned it off. That someone was Kurogiri, Shigaraki sitting nearby. He figured that Shigaraki wouldn't want to hear about All Might right about now.

He just gave a small smirk, remembering his conversation with Izuku. I've figured it out. Why the Hero Killer pisses me off so much. And why those UA brats drive me crazy. It's because of All Might. And that stupid grin, as though he doesn't have a care in the world. Smiling thoughtlessly. As if there's no one he can't save. Like he's undefeatable. He got onto his feet and simply left the room. Kurogiri looked down at pictures of the twins during the Sports Festival.

"Twins Izuku and Izuka Midoriya. Quirkless until middle school, when he suddenly manifested a power. Izuka meanwhile was actually not the same, as she has a Quirk that developed at four named Galaxy. After enrolling at UA High, the two of them distinguished themselves by finishing in the top 9 at their world-famous Sports Festival. Then, during the Hosu incident, they and their friends fought the Hero Killer, Stain...and won. Afterward, the Hero Killer chose to spare Izuku's life. Izuku and Izuka Midoriya were acknowledged by Stain, the man seeking out true heroes, as worthy. He judged Tomura Shigaraki quite differently."

Shigaraki walked down the alley in glee. "Just picture it. A world without the Symbol of Peace. I'll show society just how fragile their sense of safety is," His eye glowed a bit as he continued walking down the alley, determined to kill All Might once and for all.

Now that our intense first semester at UA High is over, the two of us and our classmates are out for summer vacation. But that doesn't mean we have time to relax.

Izuku was currently pumping weights in his room on a bright, sunny day.

We've got a training camp in the woods coming up. And I want to be as prepared as possible.

While I am glad that the hard semester is over, and that we get a small break before camp...that didn't really equal relaxation time when you're a student in UA High.

Izuka was painting a picture of Melissa outside a building, since she wouldn't get to paint during camp. It'd take up too much time, or she'd be too exhausted to even lift a finger. Given that it was Mr. Aizawa, it was likely that this was bound to happen...

I want to push myself so that I can be like my classmates at camp. Todoroki-San, Bakugo, and my brother in particular really stepped up in the Sports Festival. I have to be at their level if I wanna get anywhere. And especially if I wanna get stronger so that I can fight better against the League. I should be worried they have my DNA…but instead, I'm gonna focus on becoming a better hero so that I won't lose to them no matter what they do!

Izuku sighed in his room, looking up.

"Who is he? The guy's already saved 100 people at least, and it hasn't even been ten minutes!" He was watching All Might's debut video yet again for the umpteenth time. "This is...this is crazy! I can't believe it!"

All Might laughed from the video while carrying a bunch of people. "Look! He's got more!"

"Fear not, citizens. Hope has arrived! Because I am here!" All Might announced and Izuku ended the video there.

"Thanks, All Might," He murmured gratefully, looking at his scarred hand. If it wasn't for meeting the number-one hero, he wouldn't even gotten to this point in his life. He would've given up trying to become a hero a long time ago. There are times I still can't believe this is my life. That the number-one hero in the world chose to pass his Quirk, One for All, on to me.

Izuka looked out the window with a small sigh. She looked at her watch and then gasped sharply. "Crap, I'm already late!" She threw her supplies gently onto the table, scrambling around to fix herself up. She grabbed a tote bag and hopped around throwing her shoes on, falling to the floor with a yelp. Once she sat up, she slid across the floor trying to move and opened the door.

"I'll be back home late, don't wait up for me at dinner!" She called out to her mom and Izuku as she glanced over her shoulder.

"Izuka! Didn't you say you were bringing something with you?" Inko reminded and the girl slammed the door shut, running across the room. She hugged her mom gratefully and picked up what she needed before officially leaving. "Have fun!"

"Thanks, Mom!"

Izuku looked back as he heard the door slam, giving an amused smile. He knew that she had something to do today, so he didn't question it.

The doorbell rang a few seconds later, getting his attention. He opened it to see Denki and Minoru outside his door, smiling. "Mineta, Kaminari. Hey!" He greeted his classmates.

"Heyo, Midoriya!" Denki waved to him. "Is Mido here?"

"No, you just missed her. Why?" He blinked in confusion, causing the two to groan.

"We'll tell you later. Come to the pool with us!" Minoru smiled up at the boy.

"The pool?" Izuku was now even more confused.

"Yeah. Some fun before the training camp," Denki gave a small smile.

"We'll get in some solid laps," Minoru winked with a thumbs up.

"U-uh..." He blinked rapidly at the two, knowing that hard work and these two didn't mix at all. Not that they were lazy, but their interests tended to be elsewhere other than training or schoolwork—at least, on Denki's part if his grades were anything to go by.

"Vlad," Mr. Aizawa spoke up to him as they were going over papers. "We have to increase each of the students' Quirks this summer."

"Agreed," Vlad King looked up at the teacher as they were both in the teachers lounge. "Why don't you start by giving me a rundown of all of Class A's abilities?"

"If I must," Mr. Aizawa then went through his papers. "Let's start with Yuga Aoyama. His Quirk is Navel Laser. It's...basically, a bellybutton laser. Then we have Mina Ashido. Quirk: Acid. She secrets a corrosive substance that melts targets. Tsuyu Asui. Her Quirk is Frog. And she can do pretty much everything a frog can. Tenya Ida is the class rep. Quirk: Engine. The engines in his calves grant him super speed. There's Ochaco Uraraka. Her Quirk: Zero Gravity. She can make anything she touches weightless. Mashirao Ojiro. His Quirk is called Tail. He can manipulate his tail as if it were an arm or leg. Moving onto Denki Kaminari. Quirk: Electrification. He discharges built-up electricity from his body. The spiky-haired one is Eijiro Kirishima. Quirk: Hardening. He can make his entire body stone-like. Koji Koda is the quiet type. Though, his Quirk is Anivoice. He uses it to control animals and insects, but it can't affect humans. Rikido Sato is strong. Quirk: Sugar Rush. He turns the sugar stored in his body into pure power. Then we have Mezo Shoji. His Quirk is Dupli-Arms. He can make other body parts appear on the tips of his tentacles. Kyoka Jiro. Her Quirk is called Earphone Jack. Using the retractable plugs on her earlobes, she can distinguish between even the quietest of sounds. Plus, she can use the speakers on her legs to release incredibly devastating sonic bursts. Hanta Sero has a Quirk named Tape. It has many uses. He can shoot sticky tape from his elbows and use it to apprehend his opponents, or simply to swing around through the air. Fumikage Tokoyami. Quirk: Dark Shadow. He commands a devastating bird-like shadow that gets wilder when there's no light. Endeavor's son, Shoto Todoroki. His Quirk is Half-Cold, Half-Hot. He can emit ice from the right side of his body, and flames from the left. The Stealth Hero, Toru Hagakure. Her quirk: Invisibility. She's...invisible. The Sports Festival winner, Katsuki Bakugo. Quirk: Explosion. He sweats a nitroglycerin-like substance and makes it blow up. Of course, there's Izuku Midoriya. His Quirk is Super Power. He can increase the power and physical abilities of isolated appendages, or his entire body."

He then sighed at the next student, given his behavior... "Minoru Mineta. His Quirk: Pop Off. The balls he pulls off his head can stick to anything, though he himself bounces off them. Then there's Momo Yaoyorozu. Her Quirk is Creation. She can create any non-living thing from the lipids in her body. And finally, there's the worst offender, Izuku's twin sister, Izuka Midoriya. We call her Mido to make things easier. Her Quirk is called Galaxy. She can create shooting stars at will with either a bow or her hands. She seems to be able to utilize elements of the solar system as well to whatever she wants. And that's it. We should also go over Class B's Quirks-"

The door opened before they could continue their conversation. Denki, Izuku, and Minoru stepped in. "Excuse us," Minoru spoke up first.

"Yes? What is it?" Vlad wondered as the two stared.

"Sorry to interrupt. We were wondering about the form we turned in a few days ago about the pool," Denki explained to the two.

"Oh. The school has granted you permission." The three boys all smiled at his agreement. "You're allowed to use the pool until 5 pm."

"Thanks!" Denki bowed his head along with the others.

"You won't regret this, sir!" Minoru smiled happily at Mr. Aizawa, who looked at their form.

"You said you wanted to use the pool for endurance training, correct? Make the time count."

"Right!" All of the boys smiled at him.

"So, we're using the pool to improve our stamina," Izuku guessed correctly in the locker room. "That's a great idea, Mineta. Plus, if we're at school, we can use our Quirks!" He closed his locker, already dressed in his swimsuit. "It'll be the perfect way to train!"

The two boys just chuckled, waving a finger. "Just what you'd expect from us heroes!" Denki grinned as the two had other intentions.

"You know what we're gonna do. Go beyond! Plus Ultra!" Minoru declared as they struck a pose.

"Ultra!" Izuku exclaimed eagerly, though still didn't get the real reason that they wanted to be here.

It was a smart move to invite Midoriya. He's a great cover Denki thought while glancing down to Minoru.

If it had just been us, we wouldn't have gotten permission to use the pool, I bet.

This works, and it could be the defining moment of our lives.

Don't jinx us! I told you what I heard the girls say. It was right after the finals were over...

The girls had gathered around Momo's desk. Tenya was talking to Izuku in front of Minoru, some of the students having already left. "Wait, so we're not supposed to take any long trips over summer vacation?" Ochaco asked in utter confusion.

"Yeah, apparently that's what the school said," Kyoka stated, her arms crossed.

"How unfortunate," Momo gestured to herself, dismayed. "I was supposed to spend several weeks touring Venice with my parents."

"What is your life?" Ochaco fell down a bit wide-eyed.

"Lucky..." Izuka whined towards her friend. "Venice is in a country famous for art, I would've loved seeing their architecture..."

Momo giggled a bit towards her as she knew that the girl would've loved it.

"Aw," Mina whined while sagging her shoulders. "And I just bought, like, a bajillion new swimsuits."

"Well, turns out, that's what happens when your class is attacked by the League of Villains," Kyoka pointed out to her and she waved her arms angrily.

"But I wanna do something!" Mina emphasized to the girls. "I don't wanna spend my whole summer bored! That's so dumb!"

"I've got it!" Toru suggested, getting their attention. "Why don't we hang out at the school pool over summer vacation, huh?"

Ochaco beamed from this idea. "Good idea," Tsuyu smiled a little. "I bet we can talk the teachers into letting us use it if we ask them nicely."

"Plus it'll be free, so we'll save money," Ochaco grinned and since Minoru sat in front of Momo, he overheard the whole thing.

"That's way better than being cooped up in my room," Mina agreed happily, pointing at Izuka. "And I heard what happened on I-Island, so you owe all of us for not saying you were gonna be at the previews, Mido!"

"Alright, alright, I'll think of something," Izuka smiled a bit in amusement at the girls.

"Leave it to me!" Momo offered while standing up. "I'll start working on a formal proposal right away."

"Thanks, Momo!" Izuka hummed gratefully at her.

All the girls in their swimsuits! Minoru drooled at the thought, as did Denki. And this was the reason why they asked if Izuka was home. They thought they'd be able to see her first in a swimsuit if she wasn't at the pool yet.

It's our duty to support our classmates!

They could see it now... Just imagine how voluptuous the girls are gonna be outside of their uniforms.

The two ran towards the pool entrance. "Faster, hurry up! Paradise is waiting on the other side of this door!" However, instead of girls in bikinis, they were met with Tenya in a swimsuit.

"There you are, slowpokes," He greeted and they slid across the floor in disbelief to see him.

"No, no, no," Minoru whined as most of the other boys were there too. "What the heck are you guys doing here?"

Izuku stepped up with a small smile. "Since we're doing endurance training at the pool, I messaged everyone to see if they wanted to come with us."

"You did what?" Denki shook in disappointment. "Now all our plans are ruined."

"Don't lose hope yet," Minoru whispered to his skeevy comrade. "There will definitely still be girls splashing around the water." They nodded sharply, turning around to find the girls.

"I'll burn the sight into my brain!"

"I can't wait to see those skimpy suits!"

They were disappointed yet again to see that the girls were in the school bathing suits. Mina was the only one who had bought some, so they figured to use ones that were provided to save more money. "Oh, hey. Hi, Mineta," Tsuyu called out as the seven were doing stretches.

"I didn't know you guys would be here," Kyoka commented and Izuka glanced up at Minoru. She had her hair in low pigtails this time around.

"Something tells me that they came for only one reason," She gave a sheepish smile.

Denki turned away in dismay. I can't believe there's not a single bikini...foiled again.

Minoru blushed while staring towards them. "You know, school suits are still pretty hot."

Denki pouted towards the boy. Have some standards, dude.

Tenya walked up to them. "Kaminari, Mineta. Nice work. I'm proud of you for suggesting more training. You're an asset to our class. Let me thank you," He towered over them, to their horror as they realized...they'd also have to do training. "Now, don't just sit there. It's time to come sweat with us!" He laughed as he picked them up, walking them over to the boys.

"You're choking me," Denki coughed a little.

"No, wait. Not cool!" Mineta called out, though Tenya didn't seem to be paying attention to them.

"This wasn't the plan...!" Both boys cried out in unison. Izuka glanced towards them, giggling to herself. It served them right for thinking they could come here oogling them without doing anything. Plus, they did trick the girls into wearing those cheerleader uniforms during the Sports Festival, so she thought this was warranted. Although, taking a quick glance at the boys, she did notice that the class wasn't complete.

I don't see Bakugo or Kirishima-San... She then froze while thinking of the former, sweating immensely with wide eyes. I shouldn't even be thinking about Bakugo...! It's not like I wanna see him, he wouldn't be caught dead here. Even if sometimes he's actually not so bad... During the finals and after Shigaraki's appearance at the mall, he was...actually being a little nicer to her now. Granted, they hadn't talked much lately, but she'd like to think that they were far from their middle school selves now. And part of her actually did want to see him, despite his personality, he was still an inspiration. Someone she could think of while working hard because that was what he was doing. Just like her brother or Shoto, but in his own way of being number one.

"Are you okay, Mido?" Tsuyu asked, snapping her back to reality. "Something's on your mind, isn't it?"

"Oh!" She rubbed the back of her neck with a sheepish smile. "Just how...fun it is to be here with you guys!"

The others smiled at her and she sighed in relief. She wasn't lying, but she also couldn't explain the true story either. Not yet, at least.

Ochaco giggled knowingly as she could tell what was on Izuka's mind. She then smiled a little at the girl not being so worried about the League. As long as Izuka was happy, then she'd support her friend wholeheartedly. Part of her still worried, but seeing Izuka like this, Ochaco felt like she couldn't worry as much either.

"Get ready for it!" Ochaco then hit a beach ball into the air. "Serve!" She then tossed the ball across to Mina.

"Mine!" She yelled happily as she jumped.

Tsuyu hit the ball with her tongue. "Ribbit!"

Kyoka used her earphone jack to serve and then Toru dived for the ball. "Got it!"

"Set!" Momo smiled happily as she raised her arms to hit the ball.

"Alright!" Izuka giggled as she used a small shooting star to serve the ball.

Denki and Minoru laid on the ground, exhausted from the training Tenya put them through. "Alright! Let's take a 15-minute breather. I brought these for everyone. Please, drink up!" He placed down a cooler, revealing sodas.

"Nice!" Rikido exclaimed happily while rushing over.

"Thanks a lot, Class Rep!" Mashirao told him gratefully.

"This is just what I needed!" Hanta said in a bit of relief since it was hot, and they worked up a sweat.

Izuka swam over to her things and grabbed her own pink cooler. She turned around and opened it up, the girls beaming happily as inside were ice cream pops. "I brought these for you, I thought you'd might like them."

"Thanks, Mido!" Toru waved her hands happily at the girl.

"You're forgiven," Mina grinned at her while swimming over to the cooler. Izuka gave a small smile towards the girls.

"Well, I did feel bad for hiding the truth about the I-Expo and I wanted us to have fun..."

"Oh, don't worry about that anymore," Momo hummed, wrapping an arm around her. "Although, don't forget that we're still classmates. Information like that should be told to us at the right moment."

"I've definitely learned my lesson," Izuka gave a sheepish laugh in response.

Denki chugged his and then looked up ahead at the group of girls having fun. "Why do the girls get to play around instead? And is that ice cream?! So unfair..." He whined as he saw them talking and eating their ice cream together.

"They got permission to use the pool, so they can goof off. Can you believe it?" Minoru complained towards them. "And Mido brought them ice cream, but not us..."

"You idiot," Denki glared down at his friend. Yuga was hugging his upset stomach, freaking out Koji. "Why did you make our application for endurance training?"

"Sure, blame me, I didn't hear you making any suggestions!" Minoru retorted back up at him.

"It looks like you've been working out," Mezo pointed out to Mashirao as they sat in the shade.

"I'm practically living at the gym," He flexed an arm, smiling. "It's been kinda nice, actually."

"We must all remain focused," Fumikage reminded the duo.

Izuku was the only one not taking a break, as he was stretching in front of the pool. He let out a few deep breaths to recollect himself.

"Hey, Midoriya," He looked up to see Tenya approaching. He was holding out a drink for his friend. "It looks like you could use a break."

"You're probably right, thanks," Izuku took the can gratefully and opened it, taking a long sip. He then noticed Tenya was staring at him in silence. "Uh, something wrong?"

"No," He gave a small smile, sitting down. "This is just funny, that's all. At the entrance exams, I couldn't imagine the two of us would get along, much less become such good friends. Or that your sister would even become so different now," He glanced at Izuka surrounded by the girls, talking in excitement about her recent paintings. The girls all listened with interest and asked her questions too, something she hadn't done with anyone besides Izuku. The boy gasped at how happy Izuka looked for a change, when her past self wouldn't have even come out here. "I guess, if I'm being honest...I didn't think that much of you or her back then. And yet. During the practical exam..."

Ochaco grunted in pain while gritting her teeth trying to break out. The twins recognized her immediately and Izuka bent down, sparkles underneath her feet as something rose within her. A yellow star appeared underneath Izuka's feet to propel her into the air. Izuku jumped up, red light underneath his shoes.

Izuka narrowed her eyes while adjusting her bow, pointing it right at the robot. Izuku clenched a fist, red veins appearing on it as he prepared himself. His sleeve then started to rip into pieces while his sister raised her left hand, sliding it down her right wrist slowly. Her ammo started to grow stronger from the slower moment once she gripped the string. The robot tried to attack, but they dodged and continued flying right towards it.

Smash! Izuku thought with gritted teeth at the same time that Izuka fired off her shooting star, only this time, it was much bigger than the first time she did it. It soared right past her brother, twinkling with power just as Izuku recoiled back his fist. At the same time the shooting star hit the robot, he had punched it with so much power that it not only caused a dent, but the robot was pushed back far. This was thanks to the power of both twins working together. The shooting star then shined inside of the robot, causing an explosion from within.

Tenya glanced up at Izuku with a serious expression. "You two did put Uraraka ahead of yourselves. Even though saving her meant either of you might not pass."

Izuku could still remember the words All Might said when both twins had ended up passing.

"How could a hero course reject someone who is committed to saving others, no matter the consequences to themselves?" He then glanced at the twins with a big smile. "After all, that is what makes a hero. Welcome Izuku/Izuka." Tears came to Izuku's eyes...as they were both being able to attend the high school that would get them to their dreams. "You have made it. You're now part of the hero academia."

Izuku blushed a little at the memory. "The two of us were so happy. It had always been a dream of mine to attend All Might's alma mater someday," He took a seat next to Tenya. "Even though I knew it was a long shot for me. My sister had it too until she got her Quirk. Back then, I didn't care what I felt if that meant she could get in. I wanted Izuka to take the chance, to forget about how I could've been sad to see her do something I couldn't accomplish," He glanced back at his sister. "And then, when Mr. Aizawa said the person in last place for the fitness test would be expelled, I was sure the two of us would be going home," He gave a sheepish smile, as he technically ended up breaking a finger for no reason since it was a trick...but then he wouldn't have tried as hard.

"You may have thought that, but you never gave up. Not during combat training, either," Izuku blinked up at him in surprise. "All while still having hope for your sister."

"Detroit..." Izuku started off while Katsuki let out an angry yell. "SMASH!" Izuku threw up his fist, hitting the ceiling while dodging Katsuki's blast. This caused a wind tornado, Tenya gasping as he looked towards the girls.

"What's happening?!" He screeched as Ochaco used her gravity on the pillar she was holding. Izuka pulled back the string from her bow, but not too far back, narrowing her eyes.

"Improvised special move..."

"The Comet Home Run!" Both girls exclaimed as Izuka fired her shooting star just in front of the pillar. Ochaco then swung it and a bunch of rocks, the pillar acting as her baseball bat.

"In the name of villainy, I demand that you stop this!" Tenya cried out while bracing himself, but the shooting star didn't actually hit him. Nor did the rocks, actually. Instead, they flew right past him, the girls jumping over him. Izuka landed on top of her shooting star, riding it like a surfboard. The two girls then grabbed the weapon in relief.

"We've got it!"

Tenya recoiled back in shock at the two.

Izuku's entire arm was covered in soot. "This is the only way I had any chance at winning."

"It's over..." They heard and turned around to see Izuka pointing her bow right at Katsuki. "E-Even if it ended up with him getting hurt...h-he still managed...to execute his plan like he wanted...so while he didn't beat you...you've lost," She panted out and Katsuki flinched at her telling him this.

Tenya got onto his feet. "You weren't perfect. Indeed, your methods were reckless. But I could feel the tenacity and drive you brought to each test. And the trust and respect you hold for your sister," He then turned towards the shocked Izuku. "I believe that's the reason Bakugo and I lost to you in our training round."

"Thanks, Ida," Izuku gave a small smile after hearing that, looking at his fist. "But I'm only here because so many people have helped me get here, including Izuka. I don't know what I'd do without her support or just...seeing her grow within our class," He smiled happily towards the girl. "Look at her, she's so happy. And that's why I'll work even harder from now on!" He got onto his feet.

"You'd better!" A familiar voice called out, getting their attention as they turned around. A pissed Katsuki had arrived. "The next time I beat you, I want you to be at your strongest, you damn nerd!"

Izuku yelped as he suddenly felt a bit of fear. "Kacchan!"

Eijiro slid in front of Katsuki, holding him back. "Hey, I got your message. Sorry I'm late. Took a while to convince Bakugo to come out." He then gave a sheepish laugh as he may have dropped Izuka's name, and that was what got Katsuki to come here.

Izuku closed his eyes knowingly. That's not very surprising.

"Mm?" Izuka turned to the side to see Katsuki. She then eyed his muscles and already her face got flushed. For someone as young as he was, she didn't think he'd be that jacked. Just look at him…the way his muscles curve, his build, his— She shook her head rapidly to snap out of it. W-what am I thinking?! So what if he's built? I don't need to stare at him like this even though I kinda wanna sketch it.

Katsuki glanced away out of the corner of his eye, locking his with Izuka's. He flinched and she gasped a little. There was this weird feeling in the air all of a sudden as he eyed her up and down. The way her pigtails were curved, her slim waist, her cute face…his eyes widened as he turned away. Why the hell did she have to be here? It's so damn distracting…

Izuka blinked from his reaction, looking confused. She looked just fine, was it something on her face? The girl blinked again at being so worried over his face and then slapped her own. The other girls looked at her in alarm.

"What on Earth did you do that for?!" Momo yelped in a bit of concern.

"There was a bug," Izuka stated simply while looking up ahead.

"Really? I haven't seen any today," Toru turned to her in confusion.

"Maybe put some bug spray on. I've got some in my bag," Ochaco walked past them to get it.

"No, it's fine," Izuka sighed with a hand on her forehead. "I can handle it."

"Well, if you need some, don't hesitate to ask!" Momo told her in a sisterly way. The green-haired girl simply gave a sheepish expression for covering it up. It wasn't that she didn't want them to know, but because she didn't think that it would be permanent on...whatever was going on with Katsuki.

"So, Deku." Izuku winced with a sound of fear, his eyes wide. "You wanna settle who's the best between us right now?" Katsuki held up his hands, explosions coming from them. "Huh?!"

"No," Izuku backed away, holding up his hands. "That's not it!"

Tenya rubbed his chin in thought as this gave him an idea. "Actually, you know what? We could make this training a contest." Izuku looked at him in bewilderment, since he didn't even want it to turn into that to begin with. "Hey, everyone!" Tenya raised a hand, getting their attention. "I propose that we see which of the boys can swim 50 meters the fastest. A friendly race."

"Yeah!" Denki smiled in excitement, wanting to get away from training sooner.

"That sounds fun," Hanta smiled in agreement as he stood up.

"Let's do it!" Rikido grinned, clenching his fists.

"Ida!" Momo called out to him, as the girls had overheard. "Why don't you let us help you out with this?"

"Yes, please," He smiled at her gratefully and Izuka stepped up in front of the six.

"I wanna compete too to represent the girls," She spoke up without any hesitation.

"Mm?" All the boys turned to Izuka in bewilderment, and her face showed that she was dead serious. She wanted to prove that she could do it just like Katsuki, Shoto, or Izuku could.

"Yeah, right. Not much representing if you lose," Katsuki spoke up dismissively as he turned away and she grunted, looking a bit annoyed.

"Bakugo!" Eijiro sighed heavily at his behavior.

"Then I guess I'll win," Izuka hummed a little, hands on her hips confidently. "Unless you're scared."

He flinched and then whipped around to her angrily. Her newfound confidence today was starting to get a bit annoying for him. He wanted to wipe off that smirk on her face so bad. "Like hell I am! Fine, we'll let you compete!" He got into her face, but she wasn't fazed by it at all.

"Try your best, okay sis?" Izuku smiled optimistically at her.

"Yeah, don't forget, you gotta do us proud!" Mina held her shoulders from behind.

"And Quirks," Mashirao held up a hand. "Can we use them?"

"We're at school, so there shouldn't be a problem with that. However, you cannot cause damage to your classmates or the building," Tenya answered as Katsuki growled with a big smirk in front of Izuka. He then glanced towards Izuku, both of them glaring at each other.

"I'm gonna annihilate you, Deku," The angry blond declared, and Izuku didn't respond. He narrowed his eyes silently. Katsuki then turned around to Shoto sitting nearby. "And you too, Icy Hot. You bastard!"

Shoto didn't respond to this either.

"Mm!" Izuka grunted in annoyance as she narrowed her eyes at him not addressing her.

The first wave of contestants stood on the platforms. Momo was holding a whistle in her hands as she was acting as referee. "Alright now, everyone, on your marks!" This first wave consisted of Minoru, Fumikage, Koji, Katsuki, and Denki. "Get set!" All of the boys waited in anticipation, and once she blew the whistle, Katsuki jumped up into the air. He spun around using his sparks to soar over the water.

"Burst Speed Turbo!" He then slid across the other side, landing first and turning around confidently. "How was that, you sidekicks?!"

"What do you think you're doing?!" Hanta pointed at him angrily.

"You didn't even touch the water!" Eijiro protested with the same expression as Hanta.

"It's called freestyle swimming!" Katsuki retorted back and Izuka blinked, giggling a little. Technically, Tenya did say that they could use their Quirks, which he did. No one said that they had to touch the water.

Next up was Hanta, Yuga, Shoto, Eijiro, and Rikido. "Everyone on your marks! They all bent down, touching the platforms. "Get set!" Once the whistle blew, Hanta swung his tape to soar across the pool. Yuga gave a wink while using his laser.

"Bonjour!" However, as Shoto passed him, Yuga reached his limit, bumping into Hanta. Shoto skated across the water on ice, jumping up and landing safely.

"You're supposed to be swimming!" Denki and Minoru shouted at him even though half of the second wave wasn't swimming.

"Last group, on your marks!" The last wave consisted of the twins, Tenya, Mashirao, and Mezo. "Get set!" As they bent down, Izuka charged up her hands with yellow power. The whistle blew and Izuka soared across the pool thanks to the boost she gave herself. Mashirao and Izuku landed in the water first, swimming as fast as they could. Tenya used his engines to soar across above the water.

"You too, Ida?!" Denki yelped at this, but apparently it was allowed if even Tenya was doing it. Izuka flinched upon seeing Tenya's tactic. Once she landed on the water, she used a star platform to use as a surfboard, the star giving off yellow sparkles behind her. She focused up ahead while giving the star platform even more power to boost up ahead.

One for All...Full Cowling! Izuku boosted up as well, ending up at Izuka's left side. Tenya noticed the twins and revved up his engines to go faster. The twins and Tenya gave it all they could using their Quirks, jumping forward while reaching out a hand. Both twins touched the edge of the pool at the same time. Izuku lifted up his head, earning cheers from the students.

"The twins are tied! Therefore, both of them move on!" Momo pointed at the two.

"Nice one, Midoriya and Mido!" Hanta smiled at the two. Izuka panted as she heaved herself back onto solid ground.

"Ida was so close!" Mina gave a big smile.

"And Mido managed to tie with Deku!" Ochaco smiled happily towards the two.

Tenya allowed the twins to help him up. "You two beat me. Good work."

"You were amazing out there too, Ida!" Izuku complimented his friend.

"Yeah, I almost fell off my star seeing how fast you were going!" Izuka gushed a little.

"Almost?! Well, I'm glad you didn't fall!" Tenya panicked a little, Shoto watching the trio from the fence. The twins had adapted so much since the first day that it was almost unreal.

"Midoriya...Mido..."

Shoto opened his eyes again, staring the twins down as if he was intimidated by them. "So if you're connected to the number-one hero, All Might, in some way...that would mean...that I have even more reason to beat the both of you."

Izuka let out a small gasp, staring at him curiously.

Shoto then put down his left hand. "You see...I'm going to show my old man that I reject his power, and I can take first place without using it."

"You think you can win with half your strength? Look at me, Todoroki. You haven't managed to put a single scratch on me yet," Izuku clenched a shaking fist. "So come at me with all you've got!"

"It's yours!" Izuku screamed at the top of his lungs. "Your Quirk, not his!"

Shoto gasped while looking up at him; these were words no one in his whole life said to him, not even his mother.

Shoto then expanded his left side into flames, catching Izuku off guard. Shoto's right side began to defrost thanks to the flames. He looked in control, not scared like he would've been in the past. "I want it too," He declared to the boy. "I'll be a hero!"

"Actually...I came to talk about you," Shoto blinked in surprise to hear this from Izuka. And she didn't seem angry with him, so he wondered what she wanted. It wasn't like he had treated the twins the best either before the battle. "I'm sorry if my brother got too involved in your business during your fight with him. He meant well, and...while I did agree with him, I didn't want to push the issue. And I also wanted to say that I understand what it's like to feel like you're trapped," She stared into his eyes with empathy, and not any negative emotion.

Shoto stared at his left hand in silence, glancing up at the twins and Tenya. They stared back at him.

"You must be the Hero Killer, Stain!" Tenya's hatred was coming back tenfold. "I am the brother of an incredible hero who you attacked..." He slowly got onto his feet, thinking of his brother in his prime...and admiring him so much, not too different from Izuku's admiration of All Might. "He's the best older brother that anyone could hope for...I have come to stop you...because he can't anymore."

Stain then used his spiked boot to kick Tenya in the shoulder. He grunted as blood spurted from his arm, and then landed right on his face. He gave a furious look as he glanced up to see Stain pinning him down with his foot. He spun his blade so that it was looming over Tenya, and then stabbed the boy in the shoulder. He grunted in pain from the stab wound. "You aren't heroes. You have no right to be called that. Both of you are nothing but fakes."

Someone jumped using the walls. And that person was revealed to be Izuku as he lunged himself forward with his fist outstretched. "SMASH!" Once he was close enough, he punched Stain right in the face. He then landed in front of Tenya, his body sparking with green energy.

Izuku stopped sparking and then glanced back, not even facing the boy. "Don't you worry, Ida. I'm gonna save you!" He narrowed his eyes towards Stain. Even if he was not in full control...that wasn't gonna stop him from saving his friend's life.

"I was almost too late to stop this guy," Shoto revealed himself after his attack.

"And maybe give me a heads up if you're gonna be fighting villains on your own," Izuka narrowed her eyes while reloading herself, slowly reaching up her arms to prepare her aim.

"We can protect them!" Shoto looked up ahead as Izuku stood up.

"Let's work together!" Izuka nodded in agreement while clenching her fists.

"Just stop it...Why are you doing this? His fight is with me!" Tenya's eyes shook as he watched them fighting for their lives all because of him. And he felt like he shouldn't be putting this burden on them. "I inherited my brother's name. You have to run!"

Shoto looked back at him, seeing that Tenya had tears prickling his eyes. "I can't...watch this."

Shoto then gritted his teeth. "You wanna make your brother proud?!" He shouted, causing Tenya's eyes to shake. "Become the hero he wanted you to be!" Shoto clenched his fists while his left side was aglow with flames.

"Ida-San...I understand why you did it," Tenya glanced towards Izuka holding her side. She was shaking a little from the feeling of not being able to move, even though it wouldn't last very long. "I really do, I would've thought about doing the same thing if I were you. But there's a difference between using your Quirk for revenge...and using it to become a hero you've strived to be for your brother."

He gave a determined look towards his friends. Todoroki. I vow once more to become a hero like my older brother.

Shoto gave him a small nod, understanding what the class rep was conveying to him. I will become a hero, but the kind that I wanna be.

Izuku narrowed his eyes at the two of them. I swear I'll become a hero, a great one, like All Might. Who saves people with a smile.

Izuka clenched a fist in front of her. I'll figure out what type of hero I'll be with the support of my friends. And I'll be up there like my brother, Todoroki-San, and Bakugo!

Katsuki looked a little ticked off; he would've been more pissed if he didn't know why Izuka was sharing looks with Tenya and Shoto. That didn't mean he still liked it, though.

"UA High School was attacked by the League of Villains during a rescue training session," Naomasa relayed at the police station. "It would come to be referred to as the USJ Incident. Then there were the attacks by the Hero Killer Stain and the League of Villains in Hosu City, in what became known as the Hosu Incident. And just a few days ago, Tomura Shigaraki, thought to be the leader of the League of Villains, cornered Izuku Midoriya, a student in the hero course at UA High." He clamped his mouth shut briefly, as he wouldn't mention the texts about Izuka between Shigaraki and the mystery person. He didn't need to stress out Toshinori with that again, and then he turned off the presentation. "As far as we can tell, the League of Villains hasn't made a move since."

"That's true," Toshinori looked down in thought; this was worrisome that they hadn't shown themselves again. "But I'm sure they're hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike again."

"Likely, yes," Naomasa agreed with him, a small frown on his face. "The police are currently working alongside heroes to gather as much information about the group as possible." Toshinori started to emit smoke from his body. "When we do find out where they've been hiding...we'll need you, All Might."

The hero stood up with a big smile on his face. "I won't disappoint you, Tsukauchi. Anything about Young Mido?"

"No," Naomasa shook his head silently. "It could be just a way to distract us, but unless we stop them, we won't know anything further. And when that happens...you should be the one to tell Mido."

The hero stayed silent; like the conversation he had with the twins about how he wouldn't help them stop All for One...he wasn't too keen on explaining this to Izuka. Because they didn't have any solid proof that her Quirk could absolutely be used for evil means. And the last thing he wanted to do was to make her second-guess herself...

"It's time for the final race," Tenya announced to the four winners. "Bakugo, Todoroki, Midoriya, and Mido. As the winners of each heat, you'll fight for first place. Understand?"

"Got it!" Izuku answered almost immediately.

"Yes," Shoto answered back simply.

"Alright, Ida-San. Thank you," Izuka gave him a small nod.

"Listen up, scarface," Katsuki snarled towards Shoto. "Don't you dare hold back like you did at the Sports Festival. Bring everything you've got!"

"I will," Shoto declared with a small glare. The blond then whipped around to Izuku.

"You too! Fight to win!"

"Yeah!" Izuku answered him confidently. "I will! I promise!"

Katsuki then turned to Izuka. "Don't you dare hesitate on me, short stack," He pointed down at her.

"Okay!" She pumped her fists in determination.

"Good luck, Mido," Shoto told her genuinely and she blinked before smiling.

"You as well, Todoroki-San, thank you."

"You can call me Shoto or Todoroki. We're friends, aren't we?" He gave her a small smile, surprising everyone. She wondered if everyone was going to insist that she didn't use honorifics anymore on them since so far, Shoto was the fourth person to ask.

"The hell you're not!" Katsuki shouted while getting in between them. He preferred to be the only boy aside from Izuku that she didn't use honorifics for. He just thought it felt...exclusive when she did that, because it meant she wasn't using formalities with him. However, with the way her friendship with Shoto was progressing, it was irritating him. "Stop acting like you are, you half and half bastard!"

"Bakugo!" Izuka glared a little before turning to Shoto apologetically. "I'm sorry, Todoroki, I don't know what goes on in his head most days…"

"It's fine," He dismissed as he didn't seem to mind it apparently.

"Enough, Bakugo," Tenya scolded and Katsuki could only grit his teeth.

The four then stood on the platforms, Izuka standing between Shoto and her brother. "Then the 50-meter freestyle final race will now begin!" Tenya announced, having taken over for Momo.

"Blow 'em away, Bakugo!" Eijiro cheered from the side.

"Don't kill the other swimmers!" Denki called out to Katsuki, knowing that he would try that.

"You got this, Todoroki!" Hanta shouted, since Shoto had beat him in the Sports Festival.

"You can do it, Deku!" Ochaco smiled happily from her spot. "You too, Mido!"

"Do your best, everyone!" Momo smiled in excitement.

"Now, on your marks," Tenya held up a hand.

Katsuki's hands sparked a little. A single blast is all it'll take.

Ice appeared from Shoto's right arm. I'll slide past them.

Izuka took a deep breath, getting into a crouch. This shouldn't be too hard if I time this right.

Izuku bent down to touch the platform. I can win this with One for All.

The pressure was on between the four competitors. "Get set!" Tenya blew the whistle, but as soon as they jumped, all four fell into the water as their Quirks didn't work at all.

"What happened?" Denki wondered as everyone was confused.

"Why aren't they using their Quirks?" Hanta questioned as well, since they weren't reaching their limits, so they should've been able to use them.

"It's 5 pm," Mr. Aizawa revealed himself, having used Erasure on all four of them. "Your authorized pool time is officially over. Hurry up and go home."

"Come on, just one second!" Denki protested, since technically that meant no one won.

"We were finally getting to the good part!" Hanta pointed towards the pool.

Mr. Aizawa's eyes glowed a little as he was not amused. "Are you questioning me?"

"Not at all, Mr. Aizawa!" Most of them answered back.

Izuka surfaced first, her hair flying back as it came out of the pigtails. She let out a small cough, Denki and Minoru's eyes shining at her appearance.

"She's so hot with her hair down...!" Minoru whispered happily and she ran a hand through the top of her head. The two boys then flinched as Katsuki was giving them a death glare and they ran off in fear. Plus, if they didn't, Mr. Aizawa would surely react negatively as well...

"Damn it!" Katsuki kicked a rock in frustration while walking with Eijiro and Izuka. She was drying off her hair with a towel, her bag around her arm. She was also carrying the cooler. "I can't believe he stopped the race like that."

"Yeah, I know how you feel, but cool your blasters, man," Eijiro spoke up as the sun was setting. "Those two aren't just your opponents, you know. They're our friends."

"Shut up!" Katsuki retorted back in his face. "I don't care if they're my classmates or not. I won't let them get ahead of me, or you, short stack." Izuka blinked as she came to a stop, staring after him. "Isn't that what it means to be number one? To be the best, I'll have to be stronger than All Might. It's only a matter of time. That means one day, I'm gonna beat you, shorty."

She gasped a little that he was actually acknowledging her as a rival like she wanted. And that some part of him respected her. The girl then gave a happy smile at him saying this; now she just had to be seen by Shoto and Izuku.

Eijiro smiled at him too, not just for his goals, but for seeing Izuka as a fighter, and not a mouse.

"Oi!" Katsuki glanced back at the girl knowingly. "The hell are you smiling for? Hurry up before I leave you behind." He then noticed what she was holding and walked back over, hands in his pockets. She flinched as her hair stood up a bit, fearing what he might do. Was he gonna fight her right now? She was nowhere near ready for that.

Instead of doing that though, he grabbed the cooler from her and her bag. She blinked in confusion as he turned around, looking up ahead. "Uh? Bakugo..." She murmured as he started to walk again.

"Save the strength for camp. If you think this is hard, you haven't seen anything yet," He warned the girl and she snapped out of it, knowing he was right. She couldn't forget that for a second. Izuka then ran up to the two, and started to dry her hair again.

"You always carry her things for her?" Eijiro turned to them curiously.

"Only because she's too much of a shrimp and has too much crap," Katsuki responded casually, causing her to whine.

"Oh, come on...it's not like I ask you to do it..."

"Shut up and dry your hair," Katsuki grumbled a little. "I wouldn't have to do it if you could do this kinda stuff on your own."

Eijiro blinked and then gave a small smile, knowing that this was normal for them. They might've had their rough patches, but he could see within the both of them that they were getting past them. Katsuki wasn't even mad at her anymore like he was during the practical. They might not be perfect at getting along, but it's something.

At Dagoba Municipal Beach Park, Izuku and Izuka looked out to the clean beach area. Ever since it was cleaned up, people slowly started to visit more.

"You have ten months until the UA Entrance Exam. You must build up your bodies in that time."

They could still remember their training...if it wasn't for those ten months, what would've happened?

"Young Midoriya and Mido?" They turned around to see Toshinori approaching.

"All Might! What are you doing here?" Izuku stared at him in surprise.

"I could ask you both the same," He stopped at the railing, standing between them.

"I am here..." Izuku looked up ahead, thinking of what Toshinori said on that fateful day that they met.

"Young man, young lady. You too can become heroes. The truth is, there's nothing natural about my Quirk. I wasn't born with this power, it's a sacred torch that was passed onto me from someone else. I can transfer my Quirk to another. And that's only one facet of my secret abilities. The true name of my power is...One for All. You're next, kid. You are my worthy successor."

"...Because this is where our journeys began," Izuku looked up to the sky.

"Where our whole lives changed," Izuka stared towards the stars.

Toshinori smiled at the two, looking up ahead with them. "Young Midoriya, Young Mido, the summer training camp will be tough. Try your hardest, the both of you."

"We will!"

"So the location of the training camp has moved?" Vlad wondered at UA, as he was having a meeting about it with Mr. Aizawa.

"Yes. Just in case information is getting leaked to the villains," He'd rather be safe than sorry on this one. "Only the upper management of UA knows where it will be now. Please keep it to yourself. Don't even tell the students."

"Mm," Vlad nodded sharply in agreement.

A phone call then occurred as Shigaraki was back at his hideout with Kurogiri, reaching out to someone. "There's something I'd like you to prepare for me. That's right. We're about to start playing a brand new game..."

Izuka looked up at her phone, her head against a pillow as the screen's brightness blinded her a bit. Her screen was stuck on Katsuki's contact information. She was debating whether or not to call him since during camp, they probably wouldn't get as much time to themselves. Would he even want me to call him right now? He could be busy with something anyway...

Before she could even put away her phone, he called her instead. Her eyes widened as she sat up wildly, waving around her arms and dropping her phone. She dove for it and landed on the ground hard as she caught the phone thankfully in her hand. She sighed in relief and then stood up, accepting the call.

"Bakugo...hi," She replied a bit out of breath.

"Hah? The hell were you doing to be so out of breath?" He wondered as he sat in bed as well.

"Nothing," The girl responded sheepishly as she climbed back into bed. "Anyway...did you need something?"

"Yeah, actually," He narrowed his eyes a bit, thinking of her interactions with Shoto earlier today. And he had to take into account what happened during the Hosu incident as well, and their conversation at the Sports Festival. He didn't want to remember those though because it just pissed him off without fail. "...What's your relationship with Icy hot?"

"Eh?" She glanced at the phone in confusion, wondering if she heard that right. But Katsuki was never one to bluff. "Shoto? He's just my friend like he said."

He gritted his teeth hearing his first name from her mouth. Not even he had gotten to that level, and yet part of him wanted to be. Why am I even doing this? It's frustrating the hell out of me. "Do you like him?" He continued despite his mind telling him not to.

"Of course I like him. He's my classmate," The girl didn't seem to get the subtext, just like in I-Island with Momo, Melissa, and Ochaco.

His bangs hid his eyes as he growled a little. "Damn it! Do you even know what I'm talking about?!"

She blinked three times at his tone. "Do I need to? I don't get it," The way she answered suggested she honestly had no idea what he was getting at.

"How do you—" He then paused as the only boys in her life before UA only bullied her. And he was one of them. It wasn't like she was close with every single boy either to grasp the concept. Has she really not experienced anything like that before? She doesn't understand it because…she's never felt it? Why am I even bothering?

"Bakugo? Does it really bother you that I hang around Todoroki? He's a good friend to me…just like everyone else is."

"That's not it!" He then sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Ahh, just…tell me if he ever makes you uncomfortable and I'll deal with him myself. You can hang around extras as long as they know better," He grumbled as he looked away and she gave a sound of confusion.

"Um...sure? If that was all, I have to sleep now. Goodnight, Bakugo."

"Yeah, yeah," The boy grunted a bit in annoyance. "Hang up the damn phone."

She did so and he laid back down on his bed, putting his hands over his face. Damn it. The hell is she doing to me? So what if I don't like her being around other guys who clearly like her? How is she so blind to it? He thought of the smile she had at the pool and looked away, a slight blush on his face. He then hugged his pillow, growling.

I hate this feeling. I hate the fact that...I don't hate her. Not even a little...
