Angel: When do I think will be the best time Bakuza is official? Whenever I think is the best time. I'm not gonna reiterate what a slow burn is. Just gotta keep waiting. Katsuki's jealousy is inevitable at this point honestly. It's definitely not happening in season 5 is all I can really tell you. I still haven't even written the episode where they are official, so...not really sure how else I can explain it at this point.
I've never watched RWBY, but I've heard of it and people have mentioned it to me...many times at this point lol. I have yet to actually watch a full episode of it, but I've seen clips of...Oscar, I think, that's voiced by Tamaki and Senku, so that's the only context I've gotten. Other than that, I'm considering writing both Black Clover and Hunter x Hunter, but both of those are pretty lengthy, so it's not anytime soon I'd write them. I haven't even finished watching either of them.
At UA High School, hero classes 1-A and 1-B are competing against each other in combat training.
With some unexpected surprises, each class pushes themselves in order to win!
My class managed to pull off an overwhelming win in the fourth round thanks to clever teamwork that focused on Kacchan's raw power. As well as keeping Izuka by his side and helping her learn a new move!
It was honestly a new aspect of him that no one expected to see! And with the victory from the fourth match, that leaves Class B with 2 losses, one win, and one draw. So it all comes down to the final match, which includes a rematch between Izuku and Shinso-San!
"It's now time for the 5th and final training match!" Vlad King shouted into the microphone. "This one's for all the glory! Are you ready? Do your best until the last student's down!"
The Class A team then took off together. "Begin!"
At Tartarus prison, beeping was going off from one of the cells. "It's number 1541," A warden reported after looking into it. "He's fidgeting."
"That started yesterday..." Another warden informed as he was there when it happened.
"I wish they'd hurry up and sentence him," The chief warden murmured while watching the screen. "We can't keep this up much longer. He's exhausting our resources."
"You know that Chaplin quote," The second warden remarked as one of the screens showed a particular person... "One murder makes you a villain. Millions, a hero."
"Wasn't he the bad guy in that movie?" The first warden pointed out as it was All for One being watched. He was still strapped to his chair in isolation.
"We've seen how people can flock to evil. Take Gigantomachia. He's our prisoner's direct subordinate, right? It's not just Shigaraki and the League of Villains who serve All for One. We don't know how many sympathizers he may have hiding in the world. So right now, we need to make sure we don't accidentally provoke any of them." The screen buzzed all of a sudden.
"I do apologize for any undue trouble," All for One spoke up, as he knew that they were watching. This caused them to gasp sharply, since he hadn't talked ever to them until now. "It's just that the memories are causing my body to throb with pain." By memories, he meant when he gave his brother a Quirk. He then gave a sinister smile. "I can hear my little brother's voice..."
Mina, Ochaco, Minoru, and Izuku were running off together.
"A phone call is here!" Toshinori's phone went off while the four teachers were watching. Midnight, Mr. Aizawa, and Vlad King looked towards him curiously.
"Oh, excuse me," He dug into his pocket.
"When are you getting rid of that ringtone?" Midnight asked him in disbelief. "Jeez..."
He saw that it was Gran Torino calling him. "Sorry. I'll be right back," He turned around to take it alone.
"Hm?" Izuka glanced at All Might leaving, wondering what was going on. Then again, she couldn't exactly talk about this now with him. Katsuki already called them out earlier for their not-so-secret meetings. If it wasn't gonna be him, someone else would take notice...
"I appreciate you returning my call so quickly, sir," Toshinori whispered so that he wouldn't get the attention of the other students. "However, I'm in the middle of a class right now."
"So, about that dream the Midoriya twins had," Gran Torino got to the point instead of apologizing.
"Oh. I guess we're just gonna talk about that," Toshinori murmured if this was even the right time. However, he was slightly terrified of what would happen if he hung up.
"You asked me about the visages of One for All earlier. If Shimura had ever mentioned anything about them or about Galaxy," Gran Torino reminded him as he was at the police station. "I did remember something that might end up being useful. Don't hold your breath, though. This old man's memory isn't what it used to be." Toshinori listened attentively as he was concerned about the twins. So any information he could get would be helpful. "I'm pretty sure this happened shortly after your master first inherited the power."
"...Hey, listen to this," Nana Shimura spoke up to Gran Torino one early morning during one of their patrols. "I had the weirdest dream last night."
"Really?" He asked her curiously, the sun rising in the distance.
"Yeah. A shadowy figure stood in front of me," She turned to him seriously. "He stared me straight in the eyes before saying this: The time...has not yet come. That a Quirk similar to ours will appear, but not yet."
"Far as I can think, that's the only time she ever mentioned it," Gran Torino explained; if she had another dream, she would've mentioned it to him.
"Thank you for telling me, sir," Toshinori told his former mentor gratefully. Gran Torino glanced at his phone, hoping that it would help. "I should get back to my students now. Goodbye," He then hung up, glancing away after hearing this. The time has not yet come. Which implies...it will come eventually. Something that affects One for All...and its wielder. Is this phrase connected to what happened to Young Mido as well? He glanced over to Izuka, and then Izuku. It would make sense why she was able to see the vestiges twice and why she had that dream...
Izuku jumped into the air while thinking of his strategy, his body sparking. Class B has Shinso on their side. Once he's in play, my team won't be able to talk much. Plus, I'm still feeling kind of uneasy about One for All acting up. Whatever happens, I need to make sure I don't end up brainwashed! He gave a determined look to not let himself fall for it again. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to support his team.
"Ever since I was a kid, I've heard the same thing on repeat," Neito told his team as they were walking together. "There's no way you can be a superhero with a Quirk like that."
"What are you talking about?" Hitoshi furrowed his eyebrows a little as he went through something similar as a child.
"The two of us are both very aware of our weaknesses," Neito explained as the two had separated from Yui, Reiko, and Nirengeki. "Sometimes, we have to embrace our darker sides to survive. I really like you, Shinso. Honestly. We're so similar."
Hitoshi stared at his Class B teammate as he didn't see it. Just by personality, the two were very different. Hitoshi did want to get ahead of people in the hero course, but he wasn't a maniac about it... Neito glanced back at him with a small smile. "Disagree," Hitoshi turned away from him, earning a laugh.
"You can say that, but it's true," Neito shrugged a little. "When you brainwashed Midoriya at the Sports Festival...how did you get him to talk to you?"
"I didn't know what would provoke him, so I insulted his classmate and his sister," Hitoshi glanced away, remembering that he brought them up before the match started. "I probably should've dialed it back to just his classmate."
"Hm..." Neito thought about it for a second and then looked back up ahead. "In order for us to become heroes one day, we must sometimes act in less-than-heroic ways. If we don't, we can't stand alongside those with more power. It's not enough to try to copy our idols. Don't you feel that way?" Hitoshi came to a stop, looking up in disbelief as he was trying to be like Mr. Aizawa somewhat... "Like you had all of these grand hopes and dreams when you were a kid. But now those goals are just burdens. It's almost as if the two of us are cursed."
Hitoshi narrowed his eyes a little as he stayed silent. He didn't agree with Neito at all on this one...
Izuku landed on a pipe and jumped off it to the sky. "When you consider Midoriya's team, the distribution of power is comparable to that of the last round," Tenya waved his right hand, as his left arm was still in a cast.
"Yeah, our team did have a similar spread," Hanta agreed next to him. "But they don't have a Jiro."
"Yup!" Kyoka jumped up and down from behind, waving a hand. "They're missing a solid scouter."
"Which means they'll have to move way more carefully than we did, or they could get trapped from the get go," Hanta pointed out as he looked back to the screen.
"You're right. If they wanna pinpoint enemy locations and then lure them out like we did, then Midoriya is gonna have to work harder than Bakugo or Mido had to," She glanced over to the two. Katsuki was staring intensely at the screen, mostly because he was curious to what would happen with Izuku.
"Izuku's fast, but they have five people on the other team. And he can't get too close to Shinso-San either," Izuka murmured while crossing her arms. "I'm sure they'll figure something out to balance that out though..." She bit her lip a little as she really hoped nothing happened with One for All today... Please let this play out like they want to...
Katsuki glanced down at her knowingly and huffed. "The damn nerd can tough out whatever is thrown at him. He did it with me all those years, right? So stop worrying," He told her quiet enough only for her to hear. She glanced up at him in shock and then gave a small smile.
"Thanks," She whispered gratefully to him.
"Don't be grateful over nothing," He muttered while looking away.
First, I'll get out in the open so they target me Izuku thought, swinging using a pipe. Since I'm the fastest one on our team, our opponents will want to focus on taking me out. As he kept moving, Mina, Ochaco, and Minoru were running not too far away. He pointed up somewhere and they came to a stop. He glanced back at his team and then leaped, using the pipes nearby to get some momentum. I'll get Class B to attack me. Then once we figure out where they are, we'll work together to capture them! As he was moving, something was flying towards him and he glanced up knowingly. Here goes! He used his Shoot Style to kick the object away, gritting his teeth as it didn't move away, and he knew why. Yanagi's Poltergeist.
Then he heard Ochaco screaming, looking around for her...but he saw Neito on a pipe instead. Monoma! He immediately used Air Force once he saw his opponent, and Neito jumped to land on another pipe, getting onto his feet.
"Did ya find me? What a shocker," He mocked as he watched Izuku land. "After seeing the insufferable win Bakugo and Mido pulled off, we obviously have our sights set on you this round." Izuku pinched his fingers, pointing them towards the Class B boy. "Anyone with an ounce of cleverness would want to be careful of someone who's not only strong, but incredibly agile. But isn't that too obvious? Someone even wiser might choose a different route. After all, Bakugo and Mido were only successful because they were backed up by their other three teammates. So why not crush your other three first? And that sister of yours...she's very pretty," Neito gave a sadistic grin and Izuku flinched. "Too bad she was too weak to really defend herself against that villain All for One. She quite honestly dragged down my classmates earlier too despite their win."
Katsuki gritted his teeth angrily, an explosion coming from his hand. "Oh, that punch wasn't nearly enough on him...should've hit him even harder earlier!" He was about to head off to confront Neito when Izuka grabbed his arm to stop the boy.
"Don't," She kept her eyes on the screen, not even looking back at him. "He's just trying to cause trouble again. Because he knows that from the Sports Festival how Izuku would react to something like this." Besides, she knew that Neito would never crush on her, so she didn't take the comment seriously. It was honestly gag-inducing and she didn't wanna hear it ever again. Remind me to erase that from my brain though.
"Uh!" He gave a shocked look as he turned back to see what she was talking about.
Izuku was indeed pissed as he tried to keep it together and not blast at Neito then. He gritted his teeth angrily at Neito. "Thanks for bein' so flashy and tellin' us where you were. Sounds like my teammates have found the rest of Class A's hopeless combatants already."
He's egging me on, trying to get me to talk. It's possible he copied Shinso's brainwashing, so he's trying to get me to react like I did last time.
He kept his mouth shut, though, because he definitely learned to not say anything, even though he was mad at what Neito said about his sister. Plus, he had to put faith in his team and their abilities.
"It's three against four. Will your friends hold their own? Shinso's lurking around, so they won't be able to communicate freely," Neito reminded with a sly look on his face. "I'd hurry and go to them if I were you. They likely need help. Wait, hold on," He then grinned to taunt Izuku more. "What if the scream just now was Shinso's voice modulator at work? If that's the case, you'd be leading us straight to the rest of your classmates who aren't actually in trouble. Ha! What a predicament!"
Izuku jumped forward, firing several more Air Force attacks. Neito jumped away from the pipe, looking back at his opponent. "Talk about being heartless; you didn't even glance in the direction of your friends in need."
Izuku gritted his teeth as the ploy wasn't entirely effective, but he also knew how strong his class had gotten since the last time they met anyone from Class B. It's not a bad trick, but I'm not gonna fall for it!
Neito then revealed several nuts and bolts floating in front of him. "My. What's this?"
Class B, Neito Monoma. Hero name: Phantom Thief. Quirk: Copy. Whenever he touches someone, he can use their Quirk for 5 minutes. He can't use 2 at the same time, however!
Neito then sent the nuts and bolts flying, and Izuku realized what was going on. That's Yanagi's power! He braced himself from the flying objects, looking up with narrowed eyes.
Meanwhile, Minoru was floating above ground thanks to Ochaco. "Release," She pressed her fingers together to float him down safely. As he landed, she bent down to him.
"That scream earlier."
"It wasn't either of us," She noted with a small frown.
"Musta been Shinso then," Minoru glanced up cautiously. "And it sounded close by."
"Funny to think of grumpy boy screaming in a girl's voice," Mina remarked while looking around.
Ochaco glanced over her shoulder. "Remember, make sure you look at us when you talk," She warned as they had no idea where Hitoshi would be. So they couldn't take any chances of getting brainwashed. Mina glanced back at her with a sheepish laugh.
The rope Minoru was holding suddenly tugged and he looked up. "Hey, I caught something!" He looked up at the rope, which was full of his sticky balls. They looked up to see more nuts and bolts heading right towards them.
Mina ran in front of her two teammates. "Acid Veil!" She jumped up and threw a wall of acid to counteract it.
Nirengeki looked at his radar on his arm. "Lost some. Was it a hit or are they luring us into a trap?" He murmured in thought.
Mina kept attacking the objects, but they just kept coming. "This must be Yanagi at work!" Ochaco deduced as the objects were using the pipes to fly around.
"These things are everywhere!" Minoru exclaimed in disbelief.
Reiko came out of hiding behind Nirengeki.
Class B, Reiko Yanagi. Hero name: Emily. Quirk: Poltergeist. She can manipulate objects around her, but the total weight can't be more than roughly that of an average person! Spooky!
Something flew in front of her over to Yui. The small pipe then shrunk down in size to fit the palm of her hand.
Class B, Yui Kodai. Hero name: Rule. Quirk: Size. She can change the size of the stuff she touches. It doesn't work on living things, though!
She grabbed the shrunken pipe and pressed her hands together. "Now release."
Mina yelped as the objects flying towards her team grew in size, causing her to stop. The other objects grew in size as well. Ochaco touched a pipe to make it float, using that to jump to the sky. She touched several more and then landed.
"Twin Impact. Fire!" Nirengeki ordered and the objects came falling down towards the three. They screamed in alarm while trying to dodge all of them so they didn't get hit. More nuts and bolts went flying around to hit the pipes. Yui, Reiko, and Nirengeki were nearby as they could hear the screams and hits. "I have a rough idea of their current location..."
Class B, Nirengeki Shoda. Hero name: Mindz. Quirk: Twin Impact. After he hits a target, he can cause a second impact remotely! This follow-up strike is many times more powerful than the first one!
He was also the vice rep of Class B, so he tended to be more careful in most situations. "Let's hide ourselves and prepare for another assault," He informed the girls as more floating objects came up behind them. "We've got this."
Mina coughed from the smoke, she and the other two running away. "That was scary..."
"Guys, I thought the enemy was supposed to be chasing after Midoriya, not us!" Minoru pointed out as they thought they would focus on Izuku since he had the most power.
"They might've figured out our location with that attack," Ochaco frowned a little as they stopped to catch their breath. "So where's Deku...?" She was a bit worried that if they were attacking them, something probably happened to Izuku.
Neito hid behind a pipe while the green-haired boy fired an Air Force, only denting the pipe. "I had a lengthy conversation with Shinso earlier," He taunted, ducking his head again from another attack. "About how those blessed with power destroy society," He then jumped away from the pipe. "You're frenemies with Bakugo, right?" As he landed, he looked back with a smug smirk. "Then maybe you can explain." Izuku jumped up while aiming his hand for Neito. "How can he smile like he doesn't have a thing to worry about...when he let himself get abducted? And how can your sister still even show her face by acting so pathetic and fighting with All Might? And because they weren't able to take care of themselves, the Symbol of Peace is gone!"
Izuku growled angrily from hearing this, something sparking within him. Toshinori flinched, Mr. Aizawa and Katsuki looking up wide-eyed. Izuka's hand twitched a little as her eyes shook.
"Izuku...?" Izuka murmured in confusion, but mostly concerned.
Suddenly, something dark green sparked out of Izuku's hand, surrounding him in multiple whips. And that was when Toshinori realized...
"He stared me straight in the eyes before saying this: The time has not yet come."
Is this the moment he foretold...?
Katsuki blinked as he stared at the girl. Judging from her posture... "...You...you don't know what this is, do you...?" He asked cautiously and she clutched a fist in front of her heart.
"No..." She then looked back towards All Might. Does...does this have to do with One for All? She gasped sharply as she felt the same spark Izuku did. The girl froze a little as she felt like something had struck her even though she wasn't out there. She grunted a little while falling onto her knees, her body shaking. Ice and rock started to swirl around her body. What...what is this?
"Huh? Hey!" Katsuki kneeled to her side, getting the attention of everyone else. "What's going on?"
"Mido!" Toshinori shouted as the teachers ran over to her. The classmates looked over with wide eyes. "Are you alright?"
It's just like what happened at the Sports Festival with him and Shinso-San...I haven't felt like this before... Izuka gritted her teeth as she squeezed her eyes shut as she felt like this was a reaction to what was happening to her brother.
The same exact timing... Toshinori noted while staring at her while Mr. Aizawa bent down to the girl, using his Erasure on her. Izuka slowly took a few breaths as her body got still, Katsuki looking up at Izuku knowingly. He knew exactly why she reacted like that. "Are you okay?!"
"Yeah, but what about him?" She looked back up at the screen while Katsuki helped her onto her feet.
What? Izuku looked at his hand in disbelief, trying to make it go away by waving his arm. He couldn't control it, nor could he make it stop. He grunted while trying to hold himself back, seeing Neito running off.
"Seriously, a brand-new power?" Neito glanced back in disbelief, grunting in annoyance. "So not fair."
Izuku put his foot over his hand to try and stop it, but it did nothing. I don't understand. What's going on? I was fine until just now! His power continued to grow, tears in his eyes from the pain. It then shot out of him. "RUN!" He screamed at the top of his lungs as Neito looked up. He used the minimized items from Yui to land on them and fly away. Izuku looked at his arm wide-eyed and then was dragged away. He crashed into a wall, Izuka looking at the screen wide-eyed.
"Shinso, you're up!" Neito shouted as he looked back.
Izuku was thankfully okay from the crash, but his power was still out of control. Turns out he had landed right in front of Hitoshi, who looked at him wide-eyed. "Get out of here," He growled in warning to the purple-haired boy. "It's too much! I can't...hold back this power!" Hitoshi let out a small breath while watching Izuku, seeing him in pain. He didn't think he'd see this ever... "It's like...it's exploding outta me!" The power then grew even bigger, causing an explosion. The dark green whips went up to the sky, the three Class A teammates coming to a stop in surprise.
"I don't recognize that!" Reiko exclaimed as the Class B teammates saw it as well.
Ochaco furrowed her eyebrows as she got a closer look. The whips then expanded over to Ochaco, Mina, and Minoru. They all yelped while moving around to avoid them, and the whips dragged Izuku into the sky. Ochaco glanced up and saw him.
"Deku, no!"
He hit another wall and Izuka covered her mouth, tears in her eyes. She wasn't sure she could watch this...
This isn't my power... He held his arm to try and make it stop. "Stop it! Stop it!" He tried to command, but nothing happened. How is this happening? He squeezed his eyes shut as he let out a grunt. It hurts! Why?! He let out another grunt of pain as the whips continued to attack.
"When did Midoriya score another new move?" Hanta wondered as the Class A students looked on in concern as well.
"Vlad!" Toshinori turned to Mr. Aizawa and Vlad King. "Aizawa! You have to stop this match. Something's wrong!"
Mr. Aizawa narrowed his eyes a bit, wondering if his coworker knew something about this...
What is this...? Izuku was both scared and confused by this development as there was no hint of this until now. After All Might transferred One for All to me...I kept getting hurt because I didn't know how to use it. He gritted his teeth as he didn't want anyone around him to get hurt by this. "Stop it! No more!" But with training...I was finally getting it under control! I was just getting started! One for All! Get it together! The whips kept hitting the pipes around him. I don't wanna make anyone else worry about me ever again!
Izuka started to cry a little in worry for him. Toshinori glanced over to Katsuki, who gave a sharp nod that he'd watch over the girl should anything else happen while the teachers were gone.
Ochaco reached out to Izuku and grabbed onto him. "Deku! Please, calm down!" She begged while her helmet flew off, but the power kept acting out.
Ochaco looked up ahead at her parents talking seriously, but their eyes were exhausted.
When I was growing up, my mom and dad always looked tired. It hurt me to see them so wiped out. That's why, the first time I saw a hero on the street...
The hero knocked down the villain, and it was winter time. Ochaco and her parents were front and center for it. The whole crowd interrupted into cheers, the hero pumping up his fist with a big grin on his face.
I was more excited about the way bystanders and my parents reacted than anything else.
Ochaco looked up at her smiling father and then her mother, who had the same expression. Ochaco flinched in shock to see her mother like that, because she usually never smiled.
I just loved to see how happy everybody looked!
Ochaco gave her mother a beaming smile, her eyes shining. During middle school, she used her Zero Gravity to help up an elderly woman that fell while carrying groceries.
That's why I wanted to start helping people who were in trouble.
Ochaco smiled at the grateful woman and then looked up towards the UA entrance exam center.
But a simple dream...can be hard to achieve.
She looked up in shock to see the twins jumping up to the robot, and then later, she had to watch them fight Overhaul with everything that they had...
I've watched Deku and Mido fight desperately to help those in need. And it's made me wonder...
Izuku gritted his teeth in pain while she held on tightly to him. "You've...gotta calm down!" She yelled but it didn't solve anything.
Who protects the heroes...whenever they're the ones who are hurting the most?
Izuku's power continued raging out, destroying everything around them. Both of them were being flung around by the whips, Izuku unable to stop. "Run," He growled out to Ochaco as he didn't want her to get hurt. "Can't stop it..."
His Quirk's out of control She gritted his teeth knowingly while holding on for dear life. She looked up wide-eyed to see that Hitoshi was still around, watching them. "Shinso, quick!" She cried out to him, causing him to gasp. "Your power! Use it to help Dekuuuuu!"
Brainwash Midoriya? He thought as he didn't know how he was even going to pull it off. What should I say? It had to be something to get him to talk, because Izuku might not go along with it. I lost to you at the Sports Festival...but I got another chance. He slowly reached out to his voice modulator. I was excited to show you how much I've improved. Fighting you again was something I looked forward to He gripped the support item, as he felt like he had to do it even though he could've just left them there. I want to become an upstanding hero...and use my Quirk to help others He then slowly put down the modulator, taking a deep breath.
"MIDORIYA!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. Izuku had tears in his eyes as Hitoshi gave him a nervous smirk. "Stop playing around and fight me!"
Izuku's eyes widened as he gritted his teeth. "OKAY!" He shouted, causing the whips to freeze completely, and his eyes revealed that the brainwashing worked. Then the whips swirled around and gathered back into his right arm.
"Izuku!" Izuka shouted and was about to rush in there when Katsuki jumped in and let her crash into him. He grabbed her waist to prevent her from moving another step further.
"Izuka, hold on. You can't go in there!" He told her and she whimpered, shedding a few tears as she didn't fight him. Instead, her arms went limp in his hold and her whole body was shaking. The fact that her brother was in need of help and she couldn't do anything about it...
"Izuku..." Her eyes went wide as she started hyperventilating, and her vision was blurring.
"Damn it," Katsuki hissed and held her shoulders, looking down into her eyes. "Hey, Izuka, talk to me," He said a bit urgently and she didn't respond. "I saw it too, but he's gonna be fine. It's alright, just breath...come here," He pulled her in for a hug, her cheek resting against his muscled chest. He then rubbed a gentle rhythm onto her back as her breathing got faster. "Listen to my heartbeat and take deep slow breaths." After a few seconds, she inhaled deeply and let it out. She closed her eyes and took another deep breath. "Yeah, like that," He closed his eyes in relief. "Keep it up, okay? Your brother is gonna be safe. Nothing else will happen to him because of the teachers. I'm right here, focus on your breathing. I know you're suffocating, but push through this."
"Katsuki..." She murmured, gripping the fabric of his clothing tightly as she didn't want to look up. "Please don't let go..."
"Don't worry, I won't," He continued rubbing her back. "Just relax into me. I wouldn't let you deal with this on your own."
"Uh," This finally got her to look up at him. "Really?"
"I can't strive to beat you if you're not at your best...so I gotta help you through your worst. And I don't care what side you show me." She blinked at him in shock, another tear appearing from her eye. "Come on, none of that," He used his thumb to wipe it away gently, but then suddenly she froze. He stared at her in confusion as she let herself fall back into his chest.
The next thing either of them knew, the twins were back in the dreamspace from before...when they had the dream about the vestiges of One for All. This time, instead of being an actual star, Izuka's head slowly formed, and she was surrounded in periwinkle-covered matter like her brother was in the dark green. However, she had a body shape, but no actual limbs, like she was a ghost or something. Izuku himself could only see his hands as they were surrounded by purple fog, but they couldn't see anyone at the moment.
Again?
How did I get affected when I'm awake and in the middle of class? Izuka thought to herself; she assumed it was in a similar vein of how she saw the vestiges at the Sports Festival. Because it was definitely the same feeling.
"Crap, kid!" Someone called out to them, getting their attention. In the distance was dark and red matter. Someone moved it away to reveal that it was one of the wielders of One for All speaking. "You got it wrong. Dang it!"
Their eyes widened at his sudden appearance because it was an actual person like All for One or the first wielder or Nana. Not an actual shadow or placeholder for the man. "Didn't we tell you?" He gritted his teeth while stepping forward. "You're not alone out there. Ya got that?! It's manifesting, and she's on her path! Now's the time! So shape up," He pointed at the both of them, who stared up at him in utter confusion. "You gotta start thinkin' more. From now on, you can't use your power casually. It's somethin' bigger. And you," He looked towards Izuka next. "You gotta start taking this journey more seriously. You can't half-ass it, you gotta keep reaching!"
He's one of the past users of One for All? Izuku thought while he blinked.
Does he know about what just happened? Izuka looked at him wide-eyed.
"You're gonna have to work harder and smarter respectively! Do your best! If you train like madmen, most things should work out fine," He advised the two of them, who reached out while trying to talk, but nothing came out. "Whoa, where's your mouths, kids?! That's freaky! Whatever, don't sweat it."
We can see him so clearly. He's not a vestige or shadow or some kind of ghost. This isn't a dream, either. This man...these predecessors...are somehow living inside of One for All!
I can't believe we're finally seeing one face to face other than Ms. Shimura or All Might. He looks kind of intimidating...but how is it that we're not dreaming? Was he meant to appear before us? Izuka stared at him as he let out smoke from his nose. He then gave a weird look, staring at his hand.
"Feels like my time's runnin' out," He remarked in surprise. "That was fast. One more thing, kids. The power he just shot outta him was originally my Quirk. And that ice and rock of hers is her own new power." The two gasped sharply at him, wondering how he knew about what happened to Izuka. "Maybe I should explain a bit. Our individual Quirk factors mixed in with the core of One for All. They've been inside a' you this whole time. Now, imagine this core rests in the middle of raging flames or a whirlpool of waves or somethin'. Those flames and waves are the cultivated power we users added to the original. But now, after so many years, the core is starting to expand and move. What you saw between fluctuations...the reason for that is because One for All itself is growing inside you. Her Quirk, Galaxy, is reacting to that core both mentally and physically. Think of it like the core as a mass of One for All is connecting to her system in her Quirk. Partly that has to do with you being related, but it's also because of how strong her Quirk has gotten to be able to pick up on some of ours. So One for All is starting to gather towards her with the fluctuations and being able to see us. Both of you understand that she can utilize each planet's attributes to her advantage. Compared to the rest of us, we didn't think it'd ever happen until now...we were told that this would occur, but never when or how."
"Why? What's going to happen?" Izuku actually spoke, but he still had no mouth.
"Think back," He implored, the two flinching. "Earlier, you were dead set on capturing that guy. It's all you could think about. While she was cheering you on, her Quirk reacted to convey her support...ya know, you could nod or somethin', kids."
"Right. I was trying to catch Monoma," Izuku realized what he was getting at.
"I was cheering him on to ensure that our class won..." She murmured, although something was bugging her...why didn't it happen the other way around? Was Galaxy not capable of having Izuku react the same way she did with One for All?
"It just so happens the best Quirk for that is Blackwhip," He moved his hand to demonstrate. "Which belonged to me," He opened up his hand to reveal the same power Izuku gave out earlier, only more controlled. "So lucky you, you get to meet yours truly first. Not to brag, my power's great. But be careful. This Quirk has evolved. Blackwhip's got the might of One for All swirling within it. Which means it's much stronger now than when it was mine. Don't worry, it won't burst out of your sister, but she should be expecting something new of her own soon." He then let out a groan as it felt like something was pulling him back. They looked at him in shock, wondering how they were even supposed to react. "Oh, man. I'm gonna disappear! I feel myself drifting away. Because all that's left of me...is my spirit. Listen well," He narrowed his eyes down at them. "If you use One for All in anger, the power will react to that feeling, and so will Galaxy by proxy. What's important is keeping tabs on your heart and how you two can overcome it together," He pointed to their chests. His hand then phased through Izuku's ghost-like body. "It's fine to get mad. Rage can be the source of incredible strength," Blackwhip started to surround the man. "But you need control. And not just over your body, but over your emotions as well. After being passed down through 8 people, One for All has become an awesome force. And Galaxy in turn an awesome supporter. Prepare yourself. You'll have six more Quirks manifest as you improve, while she will continue to strength Galaxy. Maybe she will be able to throw a meteor!"
Izuka gasped as she blinked, since All Might had said that to her. "Control your heart and master using those who live in this power. Good luck! We're with ya, kids!" He grinned at the two, who could only stare at him. "You're the one who will complete One for All and become the nation's next greatest symbols!"
Izuka fell to her knees afterwards, panting heavily. Katsuki bent down to her side immediately. "Izuka!" What the hell was that? It was like something took over her body. To them, they thought she was still hugging me…she wasn't.
"Mido! Hey, you okay?" Eijiro ran over to them in concern, followed by the others. Momo got there before the rest of the class, holding up a hand.
"Don't surround her, she needs some space!" She ordered everyone and Tenya nodded sharply.
"Yes, you'll overwhelm her! Mido, are you alright?" He looked down at the short girl.
"I'm okay...I'm okay..." Izuka breathed out, closing her eyes. Katsuki stared at her as she was sweating a lot, her hands were shaking, and her eyes were in shock. He could tell by looking at her that she was just saying that to reassure them.
"Come with me," He got her onto her feet. "No one follow us or you're dead!"
"Right! We'll leave this to you, Bakugo! A talk will surely ease Mido!" Tenya agreed with him, although was a little unsure of the person being Katsuki do it...but he also did know Katsuki wouldn't do anything to hurt her, so he had to trust in his classmate.
"Well, they aren't really bitter rivals like him and Midoriya anymore, so I guess it's okay," Mashirao murmured as he stared at them walking away.
"And she can handle him just fine, but I hope she'll be alright," Momo frowned a little in worry. "She's never been like this before..."
"Bakugo knows her the most compared to the rest of us. It makes sense," Shoto commented as he looked at them as well.
"Hey," Katsuki placed his hands on her shoulders once they were sort of alone. Right now, she tried so hard to keep calm. "It's okay, we're alone now. Whatever the hell it was with Deku, it's gone, alright?"
"I know, but it's not about that—well, yes but actually not entirely," She said in a rapid fashion as she gripped the balcony, frowning as her body wouldn't stop moving. "I just had a vision, whatever you wanna call it, about the vestiges of One for All." He gasped from her answer, his eyes wide as he thought it'd be in her sleep, not during class. "I feel like my heart can't stop pounding and I'm shaking," She placed a hand on her hip, unable to stop moving.
"It's just shock. It'll go away," He stated as he watched her. He had never seen her look this nervous before, not even when she was going to perform in the School Festival. Or when she had to face himself in the Sports Festival.
"How do you know?" She whipped around to him, unable to make sense of it all. Mostly due to confusion, she felt like she was getting more questions than answers despite what the One for All wielder said. He flinched from her reaction, seeing her pace around while running her hands through her hair. "What if something else happens to him in the match or what if the next time it does, he could get really hurt? Is this how my mom feels like?"
"Izuka—"
"That's it, One for All is gonna burst out of him and he could die," Her eyes widened as she remembering him saying expanding and moving. She knew that One for All wasn't meant to harm Izuku like that, but she saw him in pain when he unlocked that power. "This is only supposed to be joint training, what if that happens?"
"Will you stop overreacting and calm down?" He asked in a bit of annoyance at her wild assumptions. "That's not gonna fucking happen."
"Katsuki!" She huffed as she glanced over to him and then held the bar from the balcony. "You don't get it." She did a double take at what he said, not even noticing him walking up to her. There was only one 100 percent tactic to get her to stop freaking out. "Wait, is that a hidden message or something that this is only gonna get worse? Oh no, I can't handle that again. Why would you tell me that, I—"
Katsuki leaned down, closed his eyes, and pressed his lips against hers gently. She looked at him wide-eyed while gripping the balcony and then eased up, kissing him back. She closed her eyes as their lips moved slowly together. It felt more…tender than last time. More heartfelt than she thought she could feel from Katsuki. She let out a little hum from his soft and slow movement from his lips, her cheeks flushed. As much as she was still freaking out on the inside, his mouth on hers was helping her calm down thankfully. And he could feel it from the way she reciprocated.
Good...she's finally stopping to actually think for once. And using her mouth for something else. Wait, what the hell?!
He pulled away a few seconds later and they opened their eyes. "Uh…" Both of them flinched as they realized what just happened. They had just kissed, again. Izuka bit her lip as she turned away, her face red. She tried to calm down her cheeks as they stood there a little awkwardly.
"Uh…damn it, I don't know why I did that," Katsuki hissed a bit, reaching up to touch his tingling lip. "I uh…" He cursed himself from being so flustered, not that he wanted to be. But he wasn't regretting it either. "I-I mean, are you…okay now? If you aren't, I'm not doing that again."
"Yeah, um…" She coughed into her fist. "I'm fine, um…thank you."
"What the hell for? Screw your gratitude," He put his hands into his pockets. Katsuki didn't wait for a response as he huffed. He turned away and was about to leave. Before he did, he came to a stop. "You're…welcome," He managed to say before he walked away. She peeked around the corner while watching him get far enough that he couldn't hear. She then giggled, smiling with a blushing face what he did. She knew he did to calm her down, and it worked. The girl stepped back to join the crowd, who all stared at her. They could tell by the look on her face that she was much calmer, so they felt they didn't need to ask how she was. She went over to join Katsuki's side, and he glanced at her in silence.
She kept her eyes towards the screen...until she felt something holding her hand. "Huh?" She looked down to see that it was Katsuki holding it, and the girl looked up at him in shock. He turned away while his face was flushed.
Don't say anything, don't say anything, don't say anything... He thought to himself for her to not bring attention to it. This was just to help her keep a calm mind during the rest of the match and nothing else. Luckily, Izuka didn't comment and turned away, still holding his hand. It was a weird feeling, but welcome nonetheless.
I can't believe he took the initiative to hold my hand... She gushed to herself, trying not to blush.
"Deku! Hello?" Ochaco called out, but his eyes indicated he was still brainwashed. Although part of that had to do with the conversation he just had in his head. "Wake...UP!" The brunette then slapped him hard across the face and he snapped out of it. The both of them were floating thanks to Ochaco's Quirk. "Oh no, I'm sorry. Did the slap hurt?"
"Uraraka," He murmured and then gasped, looking at his hand in alarm. "Get away! It's too dangerous!"
"Don't worry!" She reassured while Hitoshi watched nearby. "Shinso's brainwashing took care of you."
"He...did?" Izuku was surprised that the boy did that for him.
Ochaco smiled towards Izuku softly. "Are you okay?" She questioned gently and he gasped, seeing her scrapes.
"Oh my gosh! You're hurt," He looked over her in concern. The two finally touched the ground together, and he immediately backed away from her. "Don't tell me...it's my fault, huh?"
Before Ochaco could answer, Neito came in from behind and swung his arm to attack. Izuku was sent flying backwards while the brunette grabbed him by the arm. Gunhead Martial Arts! Some of the nuts and bolts flew around as Neito rolled to a safe stop, hopping away.
"This battle isn't over, Class A!" He declared, causing the two to gasp as they realized...that they got distracted.
"Release," Yui ordered from somewhere nearby.
"Now fire!" Nirengeki shouted as the nuts and bolts increased in size. They started to fly around to hit the structures surrounding the two. Meanwhile, Neito was laughing evilly the whole time.
Cheap shot, the coward, Izuka gritted her teeth at Neito. Izuku just calmed down and they're using that to attack him? You couldn't even give him a minute or two?
Izuku and Ochaco jumped away from the projectiles. Nirengeki and Yui ran over to join their teammate. "The dark stuff that came out of him went crazy and ruined our strategy!" He frowned down at their opponents.
"Nice timing, you guys!" Neito complimented the two.
Reiko used a bolt to fly over to Hitoshi. "Are the two of you okay?" She asked Ochaco and Izuku, which made his sister very grateful that someone from Class B asked. "What was that just now?"
"There they are!" Minoru jumped up to the sky, Mina following him while skating on acid. "Try and dodge this!" He threw some of his sticky balls while she swung some acid. Yui used a shield while Nirengeki ran out of the way.
"Midoriya! Uraraka!" Mina looked over to her teammates. "You okay?"
"The whole team's here now," Ochaco gritted her teeth. "It's a brawl!"
Nirengeki attacked Mina, who swung an arm to fire her acid. Every person was out to win now as they all started fighting. All except for Ochaco and Izuku, who watched from somewhere above. "If you use One for All in anger, the power will react to that feeling, and so will Galaxy by proxy. What's important is keeping tabs on your heart and how you two can overcome it together." Izuku was definitely pissed, both by Neito butting in and for not being able to stop himself sooner with Blackwhip coming out of him. Otherwise, he wouldn't have injured Ochaco or his sister, because he had a feeling that she had some reaction with her Quirk if what the man said was true. He couldn't let that happen again.
I refuse to accidentally hurt anyone again! Or let it affect my sister!
Something came flying towards Ochaco, who didn't see it. Izuku slid in front of her, grabbing Hitoshi's capture scarf and saving her. She looked up with a gasp as he glared up at his opponent. We need a plan, but there's too much to think about.
Meanwhile, Mr. Aizawa, Vlad King, and Toshinori looked up ahead. None of the students could see them. "What do you think, Eraser?" Vlad King wondered as they watched carefully.
Toshinori was panting while looking very concerned given what occurred. "All Might." The man looked at him while still trying to catch his breath. "We'll see what happens."
"What? But Aizawa..." Toshinori protested as something else could happen.
"This is far from over," Mr. Aizawa stated as he stared. "The match continues." He felt like Hitoshi and Izuku needed to play this out. So he wasn't going to stop them yet, to see what both of them would do.
