Percy awoke in the bed, her breath heaving from her chest. She had just had the strangest dream in her life. She dreamed that she wasn't here but she was in another place, it seemed that it was a temple of sorts but not any temple but Ares temple. It seemed that she was just dreaming and not in control at all but she understood what was going on. In her dream she was dating ares, which frankly would never happen, why the hell would she ever date that jerk he didn't care for anyone beside himself and everyone knew it. So why was she dreaming about dating him? It made no sense to her, but the dream continued and it seemed that some sense she actually made what she was thinking came out of her mouth as though she was actually controlling the that wasn't possible , because in what universe would she actually want to date a god like Ares.
It didn't matter because she woke up and it was all over granted. It was quite nice to be somewhere that wasn't this place, but that still didn't make it any less confusing than what was happening in front of her. She needed a way to get more information on who this person was. She was sick being in the dark. Yes, she feared them, but she has to pretend like she doesn't. If she plays by his rules, then maybe she may be able to find a way to escape.
Funny enough ares advice was actually helping her. His words about them all trying to find Her. Was it true? Was it just her brain trying to make up a false hope?
The man soon walked back into the room and set a plate down. then ordered Percy to eat. She shook her head as he took a menacing step forward. She put her hand up and said "only if you hear me out."
"Hear you out" he asked
"How about we play a game every time I win you answer one of my questions every time you win.I answer one of yours"
A smirk played across his lips. "You want to playing a game with me"
"That is correct"
"Alright I'll bite why"
"Because you've been playing games with me the entire time I've been here. It feels like it's only fair if you play games."
"All right , let's play what game would you like to play"
"A short one where we can do multiple different rounds in short span of time"
"OK, seems about we play a mortal game then"
"Snap"
"Excuse me"
"Snap, that's the name of the 's quick and 's a mortal game children play"
"Well then , if it's a mortal game , we shall"
"Do you know how to play?"
"Yes I do"
A deck of cards appears on Percy's picked them up and separated them in half after shuffling them.
She gave the man half and kept some won the first round and asked her first question
"Have I met you before?"
It was a simple question but Percy needed to know if she had met this person before then that would minimise the suspect pool, if you hadn' that would be harder for her to guess
"Not face-to-face. But I have watched you"
"That's not creepy" mumbled percy under her breath
The second round he won and he asked her his question. "Why did you choose the daughter of Athena for our last task?"
"What do you mean? Why did I choose her? She's my best friend and she's the smartest person I know"
"But as you ve seen , little princess smart doesn't get you everywhere , does it."
Percy shook her head looking down at her the deck of cards in her hand she really wished that Annabeth had succeeded in the task but she can't blame her for , she would never blame her friend for not being able to help her when she herself should be able to do this on her own.
They played more rounds, Percy won most of them, but she suspected that that was pure luck or wasn't sure.
Percy asked if the man was immortal to which he , Percy knew he had to be to keep her here but she needed some full of confirmation
He had asked her if she had a lover to which she responded no. Percy was confused as to why he was so interested if she had a lover wasn't really any of his business. Was it?
