I heard a sound in the middle of the night and went to investigate it. I didn't know if someone was in the house. The good news was because I was human, vampires couldn't just enter the house without an invitation and if it was a human, I was pretty sure that Stefan and Damon would be able to handle it. I went over saw a blonde girl on top of Stefan and I was…confused.

"Who the fuck are you?" I asked her.

"I thought you said that your uncle closed down the boarding house." Lexi replied. So we she someone that knew that Zach then? She seemed like she knew Stefan at least.

"He did." Stefan told her. "This is his daughter, Faith. Faith, this is my best friend, Lexi."

"Hi, can you keep it down because I'm trying to sleep?" I requested. It seemed like she wasn't a threat, as weird as it was. She was still a threat to my sleep and I really didn't want that. I went back to my room and tried my best to go back to sleep. I couldn't help but be surprised that Stefan had a friend. After a little while, I was able to get back to sleep.

In the morning, I got dressed and walked into Stefan's room wearing a leather jacket, t-shirt and jeans. I needed to get to the reasons why Lexi was here that I was too tired to ask last night.

"So, what are you doing here?" I asked. That was probably the best way to find out.

"I come here every year for Stefan's birthday." She explained. I was a little bit mad at Stefan for not telling me that it was his birthday. I would have gotten him something…even though I really didn't know what he wanted.

"Why didn't you tell me that your birthday was coming up?" I asked. Truthfully, I didn't know what you would get someone like Stefan. I doubted he would be interested in clothes. What do you buy a 162-year-old vampire?

"Well, I have big plans for this weekend." Lexi replied. "I have tickets to the Garden to see Bon Jovi: "Wanted Dead or Alive. It's our theme song. I can compel you in if you want, Faith?"

I didn't know if we would be able to get to New York and back with enough time for me to be ready for school tomorrow.

"Do you think they'll remember us?" Stefan asked. It seemed like there was something else that I didn't know about Stefan. When had he met Bon Jovi? "That was a crazy weekend."

"We can make them remember us." Lexi replied. I hoped that she meant by compelling them to remember past memories and not magically creating new ones. "Come on. It'll be fun. I mean what's keeping you here."

"I already told you." Stefan declared. "Her name is Elena."

I couldn't help but wonder what he had told her about Elena. How much had he told her? I assumed that she knew that Damon was here, and that Zach was dead and maybe that Vicki was dead as well.

"Well let's hope that she's better than the last girl that you got all sprung over." Lexi teased as she wagged around the picture of Katherine. I still couldn't help but wonder when Elena was going to find out about what Katherine looked like.

"You didn't even know Katherine." Stefan said as he took the pic back.

"Well, everything you told me basically says that she was a huge bitch." I pointed out. You know I couldn't help but notice that people were talking about her a lot for someone that was supposed to be dead. I knew more about her than I knew about Stefan and Damon's parents.

"So why was a news reporter hunting vampires anyway?" Lexi asked. I hadn't yet figured that out yet.

"I don't know, and I don't know who all knows about us, so be careful." Stefan instructed.

"It's not like I can leave the house." Lexi replied. "I've only known three vampires with those nifty daylight rings and two of them are you and Damon."

"Who's the other one?" I asked curiously.

"It's just this girl that I met. She wouldn't tell me how she got it." Lexi stated before Stefan and I went out the door. I still didn't know how Stefan and Damon had gotten theirs either. He had to talk to the police about Vicki's disappearance because no one knew that she dead. I wasn't being questioned, but I wanted to see Elena and ask her how she was.

I waited outside while everyone was being questioned. They technically weren't supposed to be talking to Stefan without a guardian present. That was why Elena and Jeremy's aunt Jenna was there. I supposed that they figured that they didn't need to talk to me because as far as they knew, I didn't know Vicki.

I met Elena outside when everything was over. I saw that Stefan was trying to talk to Matt, but Matt really didn't seem to want to talk to him. I couldn't help but wonder how he would feel if he actually knew what happened to her.

"So, the compulsion worked." Elena told me. "Jeremy doesn't remember anything."

"That's how it's supposed to work." I replied. I didn't know what being compelled would be like, but I was pretty sure that I didn't want to. "At least I think it is. I've never been compelled myself."

"You said you were going to get me some of that stuff that prevents it for me." She stated. I assumed that she meant the vervain.

"I don't have any on me right now, but we grow it at the house. You already have some in your necklace." I told her. "You can come with me if you want."

"I was going to go home." She replied. Maybe it wouldn't be the best idea to bring her there when Lexi was there, even though I was pretty sure that Lexi wouldn't hurt her. It was also kind of weird that they were introducing a new character in this episode. Was she supposed to be the replacement for Vicki in the cast or something? I wished that I knew more about the show because someone who had watched it would probably have a much greater idea of what was going on.

"Well, it'll be there whenever you want to come over." I declared. I just had to figure out what I was going to do until she came over.

I figured that it would probably be a good idea to try to find a birthday present for Stefan.

"Stefan, what do you want for your birthday?" I asked him.

"You don't have to get me anything, Faith." He declared.

"I wasn't saying that you had a choice of whether or not you were getting something." I stated. "I asked you what you wanted."

"I guess you can go and get me a book." He responded. "Just get me something from the best-sellers list. I haven't checked any of them out lately."

So, I went to the bookstore. I still didn't know exactly what to get him. I decided to ask the store owner for any suggestions, and he suggested that I get him the first Hunger Games book. Only two of them were out at this time and I didn't know if he had read the first one, so I just bought it for him. I had only seen the first movie.

I then went home and saw that Stefan was sitting on the couch. It seemed like he was wallowing over the fact that he and Elena weren't together anymore.

"Hey, this girl will come around." She assured him. "She will see how awesome you are. Have you had sex yet?"

"No." Stefan declared as I blushed.

"Sex always works, as long as you're good at it." She told me. I kind of didn't want the image of him and Elena having sex in my head. "Maybe I could compel her to take you back."

"No, it's not about or compulsion or any kind of trick." Stefan explained. "She has to want to be with me."

"Wow that sounded all mature and grown up." Lexi commented before she looked at me. "So how old are you?"

"16." I answered.

"It's been so long since I've hung out with a human." She said. "So, if we're not going to show, what are we doing tonight?"

I couldn't help but wonder if she was going to get her money back for those tickets…assuming she had paid for them in the first place.

"Funny you should ask." Damon interrupted. We all looked at him in the doorway.

"Nobody asked you." I remarked. I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't have to spend any time with him, but the chance of him not being in this episode probably weren't very high.

"There's a party at the Grill tonight. There will be food, drinks, all of Stefan's friends." Damon replied. That seemed oddly coincidental.

"I don't want a birthday party." Stefan stated.

"It's not a birthday party." Damon responded. "It's just a regular party that exists for no reason. Caroline's throwing it."

"Damon, stay away from Caroline." Stefan said after a sigh. He really didn't need to be with her after what he had done to her.

"We're friends. It's cool." Damon replied. I was pretty sure that Caroline wasn't dumb enough to do that…so he must have compelled her. "It's important that the town see us out and about like normal folk."

Damon walked out of the room and Lexi gave Stefan a look. I couldn't help but wonder why Damon wanted him to go to the party so much. I had a bit of suspicion that he was up to something, but I didn't have any idea what it was.

I decided that since I was done with everything that I wanted to take a nap. I had to get earlier than normal for the questioning part. I didn't know why they had to do it so early on a Sunday. I didn't know why they had to do it on a weekend at all, but I supposed that everyone they wanted to talk to was in school, so they needed a day that there wasn't any school.

I went to my bedroom and went down to take a nap.

While I was sleeping, I couldn't help but have a dream about being back at home. Except I wasn't myself. I was Faith. Rachel was there and I tried to talk to her and tell her who I was, and she didn't want to be with me. She seemed to think that I was competition for her. At that point, Damon came and killed her. That was kind of shocking.

Later I had to get a shower before the party, but I had to wait until after Stefan and Lexi were done with theirs. Lexi decided that she wanted to walk around wearing a towel for some reason. I then heard the bell ring.

"It's open." Lexi stated.

"You don't live here." I pointed out.

It was at that point, that Elena walked into the house and started to look around. Before I could say anything to her, Lexi spoke up.

"Oh my god." Lexi said when she saw Elena. "What? Huh? Who?"

"I'm Elena." The brunette introduced. "Who are you?"

"Lexi, I'm a friend of Stefan's." The blonde answered.

"He never mentioned any friends." Elena remarked. "Is he here right now?"

"He's in the shower." Lexi replied. "You can wait for him if you'd like."

"That's okay. I need to go." Elena replied before she left. I wasn't a mind reader, but I was pretty sure that the fact that Lexi had answered the door in a towel and the fact that she said Stefan was in the shower made her think something.

However, the thing that I noticed was that Lexi looked pissed for some reason. Why did she suddenly become so angry from seeing Elena? I couldn't quite figure it out. I also couldn't help but wonder why Elena hadn't said anything to me. She could have asked me for some more information, and I would have been able to tell her because I assumed that she trusted me more than the girl wearing a towel that she had just met

She then ran up to Stefan's room. Again, it probably would have been a good idea for her to get dressed before doing that.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?" She asked.

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asked nervously.

"I just met 'Elena'." She stated as she showed him the picture of Katherine. It was definitely an awkward moment.

She finally did get dressed and I knew that it would be a good idea for me to get in the shower, but I couldn't help but want to see what was going on.

"You have some serious emotional damage." Lexi replied as she put on her makeup.

"Elena is not Katherine." Stefan stated. "Katherine is dead."

"Well then they're related because they could be twins." Lexi declared. I couldn't help but wonder what the reason why Elena looked like Katherine was.

"I don't know. It doesn't matter." Stefan responded. "Elena is beautiful and being with her makes me feel good, even though we're not together anymore. I just want to hold her and kiss her."

"Oh my god. You love her." Lexi declared.

"Yeah." Stefan confirmed. Lexi looked like she was proud of him. Had Stefan not been with anyone since she knew him or something? When was the last time that Stefan was a in relationship? Had he not dated anyone since he was with Katherine? That seemed like a long time not to be with anyone.

I knew that I needed to see Elena and probably explain what went down with Lexi at the house. I rang the doorbell, and she came to answer it.

At that point, I realized I should get in the shower. Lexi convinced me to wear a gold dress that didn't really cover a lot. I then did something different and went to see Elena.

"Faith, I wasn't expecting you." She stated.

"I want to talk to you about Lexi." I declared.

"Oh right, the girl in the towel." She replied.

"Elena, Lexi is just a friend of Stefan's that he has no for a long time and as far as I know, there has never been anything romantic between the two of them and even if there was in the past, none of that happened to today."

"Oh." She responded.

"As to why Lexi decided to come over to wearing a towel, I really don't know. I think she's just kind of weird like that." I explained. "So I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come to the Grill with me tonight."

I wanted to do whatever I could to get her and Stefan back together as soon as possible and I figured that getting them together in the same place would be a good start.

"Are you going to Caroline's party?" She inquired in surprise. Why did she seem surprised by that? I did like to party.

"It's kind of Stefan's birthday." I explained. She once again seemed surprised but for a different reason. "Don't worry. He didn't tell me either."

"I think that I'm just gonna stay in." She replied. I frowned, but I had a feeling that she would show up later. At least I hoped that she would. I seriously didn't think that you could know about something happening in a tv show and not end up going there. I also couldn't help but wonder if something bad was going to happen there. As soon as I got there, I couldn't help but notice that Damon was berating Caroline. I probably needed to get her some vervain because she didn't deserve to be treated like that.

Of course, then I looked over to Stefan and Lexi and suddenly Damon was at my side.

"Stefan smiles. Alert the media." Damon quipped.

"You haven't really given him much to smile about recently." I pointed out.

"Poor Stefan, ever tormented by his wicked older brother." He declared as I frowned. I began to walk away. "Does my presence bother you?"

"I get a rash that flares up in the presence of psychos." I stated.

"Well consider this psycho's feelings hurt." He remarked.

"What did you do to Jeremy?" I asked.

I then went over to Caroline because she looked like she needed a friend at the moment.

"Hey, Caroline, are you okay?" I asked her.

"No." She said through her tears. "I'm nothing but a fuck-up that no one wants to love."

"You're not a fuck-up." I told her awkwardly. At that point, I couldn't help but notice that was a pitcher of beer in front of us. Caroline went and grabbed some of it and I decided that it wouldn't hurt to have a glass. I did have to make sure that she didn't end up with someone who could potentially hurt her. Even though I wasn't one of those guys, I had unfortunately been friends with one of them. Thankfully, Maty came over to take care of her.

I noticed that Elena finally showed up and she was talking to Lexi. I wished that I was able to hear what they were saying, but I understood the gist of it. They were likely talking about Stefan and how Lexi wanted the two of them to get back together. I couldn't believe that I was such a shipper. I had really only been like that for Kurt and Blaine and that was really because everyone in the glee club wanted them together. I then went over to Stefan, who could hear what the two of them were saying.

"I drank yours." She stated. My what? Had she gotten me something to drink but didn't actually let me drink it or something? That sounded like it was rude.

"Thank you for that." Stefan responded.

"You weren't supposed to be listening." Lexi declared. If she didn't want him to listen, she shouldn't have said at a tone that he could hear. "I was feeling epic. Whatevs."

I then walked over to her with Stefan. I knew that I was kind of the third wheel, but I just wanted to be there when the two of them had their makeup kiss. I probably needed to find a girlfriend of my own…but definitely not a boyfriend.

"So, I see that you decided to come after all." I noted.

"I couldn't miss Stefan's…how old is he again?" She asked.

"162." Stefan replied. "I'm glad you're here."

He looked like he was about to kiss her when Sheriff Forbes walked inside. Well, this wasn't great because we were at a party with a ton of underage drinking. They didn't look like they had the manpower to arrest everyone that was there. Actually, she looked like she wanted to do something else. She had a deputy and this other girl next to her. The girl then pointed over at Damon, who was sitting next to Lexi. Had someone identified Damon as the killer vampire in the town? I also didn't think it would be that easy to just get rid of him. Sheriff Forbes and the deputy walked over to them…and they took Lexi. They seemed like they stabbed her with a needle. If I had to guess, there was vervain in it. I was right about something bad happening.

Elena, Stefan and I watched as the deputies dragged Lexi out of the restaurant. We couldn't go out the front because they had someone blocking it. Elena showed us the back exit and we were able to make it out to the street just in time to see Damon stab her in the heart. I had to admit that a tear left my eyes as I watched it, but it was nothing compared to the absolute rage in his eyes.

I couldn't help but be a little bit surprised. Did they really just introduce a new character just to kill her off. Why was it so important to establish her as Stefan's best friend? Also why had Damon killed her? None of this really made any sense to me. I was beginning to think that I didn't really understand this show.

"I'm going to kill him." Stefan remarked. He looked even angrier than when Stefan had killed Zach.

"Stefan, no you can't do that." Elena told him. It did seem like killing Damon would solve a lot of our problems, but I didn't think that the writers would kill him off, at least not this soon.

"Why are you trying to save him?" She asked. "He killed Tanner, he turned Vicki, he killed even Faith's father."

"But he also saved your life." I declared. I didn't know why I had said that. I knew that I shouldn't have been defending him.

"You were right to stay away from me." Stefan said before he ran off. I wasn't sure if he was actually going to kill Damon, but I knew that I needed to do whatever I could to stop him.

"I need to go after to see if I can stop him." I explained before I rushed to my car. I couldn't believe that I wanted to save Damon, but I did.

I was really nervous for the whole drive there. I felt like I was a little bit impaired by the alcohol that I had consumed, but thankfully, I didn't hit anything or anyone or drive off the road or get pulled over. I needed to make sure that I never did that again. I should have tried to get Elena to drive me. Of course, my only concern at the moment was that I was too late. If there was any chance to stop Stefan from killing Damon, I needed to do it. I immediately ran upstairs.

I made it there as Stefan was about to lay the stake into Damon. He wasn't actually going to do it, was he? I ran into over to him and tried to grab his hand.

"How does it feel to be within an inch of your life?" Stefan asked as he looked over Damon who seemed to be in genuine fear.

"Just do it." Damon groaned.

"Stefan, stop!" I begged with tears in my eyes.

"How can you want to save him. He killed your father." Stefan pointed out. I knew that a lot of what I was doing didn't make a lot of sense, but I also was pretty sure that Damon was not the main villain of the show, and he could be useful in fighting other villains.

"Stefan, I think what we really need is to be a family. We need to stop trying to hurt each other or kill each other or kill our friends and work together." I explained. It sounded kind of sappy, but I hoped that it would be able to convince Stefan to stop. I was pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to physically stop him considering he was much stronger than me.

At that point, Stefan just decided to walk away. I wasn't entirely sure if he still planned on killing Damon, but he didn't seem to want to do it with me there.

"Why did you do that?" Damon asked in confusion. He didn't seem to think that anyone was capable of caring about him. "You could have let him kill me."

"You know you have really grown on me." I stated as I gave him a hug. He seemed even more confused by that, but he did at least hug me back. "Good night."

With that, I went to my room to go bed, hoping that they weren't going to fight anymore.

So Faith managed to save Damon's life but Damon did kill Lexi and she still has no idea what is coming next. Please don't forget to review.
