The following day started off on a high note for everyone involved. Santana and Rachel confidently took their prescribed medication, while Cassie expertly transported Santana, Kitty, and Quinn to school, with Shelby driving Rachel.
As Kitty and Santana walked down the hallway together towards their class, Kitty asked, "Are we still going to our Nana's house this weekend?"
"Absolutely, Kit! And this time, we're going to have a blast!" Santana replied with a smile.
"Just one thing—Rachel will be there too," Kitty noted.
"We'll manage her for our parents, but if she says anything out of line, she's in for a rude awakening," Santana declared firmly.
"Absolutely," Kitty agreed just as the bell rang, signaling it was time for students to head to class. With that, they confidently parted ways, eager for the day ahead.
Rachelchatted with Kurt in the hallway at school about the upcoming weekend.
"Are you still planning to buy tickets for the Barbra Streisand concert next month? We should get them before they sell out," Kurt said.
"Absolutely, I've been saving up the money my dad gave me," Rachel replied with a smile.
"My dad is dropping us off at 5 PM. Just remember to call him when we need a ride back," Kurt added.
"Sounds good! I'll make sure to let Shelby and Cassie know beforehand," Rachel said, as they headed to their Spanish class.
At Carmel High, Quinn was chatting with Carmen, who sat next to her in history class. Their teacher announced that they would have a pop quiz covering everything they had learned that semester. While many of Quinn's classmates groaned in displeasure, she remained unfazed and ready to tackle the challenge head-on.
The teacher distributed the quiz papers, instructing each row to take one and pass it down until everyone had a copy. Once all the students had their papers, the teacher asked them to write their names and the date at the top. She then gave them 15 minutes to complete the quiz, turned on the timer, and sat down at her desk.
When the timer went off, the teacher told everyone to put their pencils down and pass the quizzes to the front. "I will pick them up and grade them," she explained. "You can talk quietly among yourselves, or you can start reading the next lesson out loud. Begin with the first one. If you choose to read quietly, we will go over what you missed after I finish grading the quizzes." She collected the papers from the top row and returned to her desk to grade them.
Some students decided to talk to each other, while others chose to read quietly to themselves.
I want to take a moment to recognize the great effort many of you put into the pop quiz. It's encouraging to see that some of you excelled, with three students achieving a perfect score—well done! For those of you who feel you could have done better, this is a great opportunity for growth. I believe that with persistence and dedication, you will see improvements.
During our review of the pop quiz, the teacher provided constructive feedback on the history questions. This process allowed you to clarify any misunderstandings and accurately note the correct answers. Remember, we will revisit this material in a few days, so take this time to prepare and reinforce your knowledge! And she dismiss her students after she told them review.
After school, Shelby confidently reached out to the psychiatrist recommended by her doctor for Santana and Rachel.
Dr. Christine Alderson scheduled a meeting for Shelby to bring Rachel and Santana on Saturday morning from 8 to 9:30.
"Thank you, Dr. Alderson. Could you please share the directions?" Shelby requested assertively.
Dr. Alderson provided the directions, and Shelby promptly noted the address in her notepad.
Following that, she took the girls home, guiding them to the kitchen to wash their hands before preparing a snack.
After they finished eating, Quinn took the opportunity to review her perfect score on a pop quiz and inquired if her sisters had encountered a pop quiz as well. They shook their heads, indicating they hadn't.
Santana then went to her bedroom, while Kitty headed to hers. Later on, Cassie dropped Rachel off before going to Carmen High for Vocal Adrenaline choreography, and she and Shelby didn't return until 5:50 PM.
Shelby took a moment to ask Quinn to communicate to her sisters that the family meeting would take place after dinner that evening. Quinn went upstairs to relay her mom's message and returned with clarity, settling down on the couch to read "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.
In the kitchen, Cassie wascooking homemade chili along with a vegan version for Rachel, with Shelby lending a helping hand.
