Fuse
Casually dropping into Ozpin's office with team RWBY, I greeted the old man, "Yo, Ozpin. You don't mind if I rope some of your kids into helping me with this, right?"
"I do mind, actually," Ozpin said with a blank expression on his face, "You also did something about beds earlier, right?"
"I erased the concept of beds for like a few seconds, yeah."
"You erased-"
"The concept of beds, yeah," I repeated, "I'll do it on the Grimm later, after I curbstomp the Gamers, after I kill Azure Dragon."
Ozpin was about as awestruck as the kids were when I introduced it to them as well.
"I- Well," Ozpin seemed to be at a loss for words until he finally said, "Then I wish you a swift victory against him."
"A swift victory indeed," I then gestured to the tablet on his desk, "So, these locations you want me to check?"
Getting to it, the Headmaster picked up the tablet and gave it to him, "Yes, these are all of the base locations for the self-proclaimed Villains that we know of. We don't know who are at these locations, but hopefully, one of them will reveal Azure Dragon… And as for team RWBY, what are you expecting them to do?"
"Distraction," I said, looking at the nervous team, "I just need to be able to look through their bases for anything valuable, so having them around should be good enough to distract them away from me for a while."
Narrowing his eyes at me, Ozpin protested, "You can't seriously be expecting them to hold off the Gamers for any extended period of time."
"They apparently like these girls, so they have a ceasefire agreement on them," I said. Evidently, none of them knew that this was a thing so I had to elaborate, "Essentially, that just means they won't hurt them. I just need them to talk to them for a bit while I check out the house."
"...Why do you know this?"
"They told me."
"Ah."
With that cleared out of the way, I then checked the tablet for some of the locations.
They were mostly spread out in the northern parts of Vale. I assume that meant the "Heroes" were spread out in the southern part of Vale.
They also set up bases in some odd places. A normal ass apartment building. A newly constructed brothel. An underground complex.
Out of all of these options, the underground complex seems the most likely to hold something about Azure Dragon. But personally…
I still need to verify the authenticity of these three Americans. Whether they're traitors or not.
Activating my ability that finds Americans, I spotted one of them at the Mall, which was apparently a hideout for the Villains.
That will be the first place I go. I'll interrogate him, and if his answers don't satisfy me, then I'll act as the executioner and rid this world of an embarrassment to the American Dream.
"Alright, thanks for this, Ozpin," I gave my due respects before asking, "Before we go… Got any extra questions for me? I don't mind answering them."
Ozpin looked briefly surprised for a moment before schooling his expression, "If you don't mind, then I do have a few questions… Do you truly think yourself capable of massacring every single Gamer in Vale?"
"I'm an American and they're not," I simply answered. That was all that needed to be said.
"...I see," Ozpin didn't look too convinced, "Then, perhaps, you can show us some of that power…?"
I could always use an excuse to show off, so I immediately offered, "Name me a mountain and I will show you a flat field."
"Mount Glenn, then."
Somewhere in Vale
Pyrite
Watching the video of Fuse absolutely leveling Mount Glenn, he's filled with a sense of dread.
Based on vibecrafting, his peers all were probably city level individually. Even then, that was a big probably because they never really get to go all out due to their circumstances.
The new guy who dropped in out of nowhere is mountain level, can go out of the barrier, and has access to other worlds.
He's also clearly not afraid of showing it off as he slaughters hordes of Grimm, displaying the vast power imbalance between the two groups.
They really just let a guy like that walk away? They're stupid. They didn't respect the random dude who came from outside and now they're paying the price.
"You know, maybe if we had one of those mastermind wannabes in the room with us that day, this wouldn't be happening," One of his friends, Hoplite, commented from across the room they were chilling out in, "Their dick sucking technique is legendary. We could've used that."
Sighing, Pyrite reluctantly agreed, "Isn't that right. Still, we probably could just ask him nicely to try and break down the barrier…"
"But why would he do that?" The Roman cosplayer got up from his seat, "If I were him, I'd just kill one of us, retreat to heal, and repeat that until we all died."
Right. His friend was a meta slave. Shitass warrior rogue mage classes all combining into obnoxious blitzs trying to kill people as fast as possible. Not to mention his generic ass name…
"I hope he gets you first."
"That just means I get to fight him at his weakest."
Truly, some deranged individuals within the heroic circle.
Browsing the internet, he finds a few funny comments and likes them.
Remnant's meme game isn't as good as Earth's meme game. But it is still pretty funny.
'Lit the Fuse and Mount Glenn is gone sob sob sob.'
'Homeless ass showed up and set a new record wtf.'
'BRO I INVESTED MONEY INTO THAT MOUNTAIN NOOOO'
Of course, there were just a bunch of hate comments too.
'Gamers next plz.'
'Look… Mountain level is above city level, right? Get those guys outta Vale.'
'We used the Gamer to destroy the Gamers.'
Some stupid ass motherfuckers indeed.
Standing up, Pyrite decided, "Alright, let's call a meeting with everyone. We have to decide what we're going to do about Fuse."
AN:
1.05k word chapter. That, I believe, is our all-time low.
Not to worry though.
HUGE COMEBACK IN MARCH LET'S GOOOOOO.
I'll try to have an outline to the end of the fic by the end of February.
