"Say hi to daddy honey."

Sadie gurgled as Eddie held her up slightly when Jamie came into the bedroom.

"Hi baby girl. How was your day today? Were you good for mommy?"

Sadie gurgled again and Jamie continued his conversation, this time with Eddie.

"How was your day, Ed?"

Eddie smiled up at Jamie and rocked Sadie.

"Well, I managed to get some laundry done, with Cora's help. She's been a great help to me these last few weeks. You'll be happy to know her grades came in today. Straight A student. On the fast track to Colombia."

Jamie was beaming. He was proud of Cora. All her hard work was paying off. A smirk then crossed his face.

"Well, you do remember before she was two, she was already pointing to her blocks and picking each letter for everyone's first name and giving it to us."

Eddie smiled.

"We always did know she was very smart."

Jamie traced Sadie's tiny nose and kept smiling at her. She cooed more and her little arms flailed.

"Oh. What? Do you want to come with daddy?"

Eddie carefully placed Sadie in Jamie's arms and watched as father and daughter bonded.

"Cora helped me give Sadie a bath today. Sadie really loves being with her. I don't know if it's just her demeanor or something else."

Jamie put his two cents worth.

"It all comes down to genetics. But Sadie does know Cora's voice. She knows who her family is. I'm glad I have you and the kids to come home to."

Eddie shifted in the bed.

"Tough case with a patient today?"

Jamie nodded and blew out a breath, sitting down on the bed and leaning against the headboard. He cradled Sadie up against his chest and she slept soundly.

"You could say that. Nothing scares me more than hearing a baby had a problem."

Eddie ran a hand over Sadie's head and her downy soft hair, scooting closer to Jamie.

"Is the baby ok?"

Jamie nodded and ran a hand over Sadie's back.

"She will be. She has a benign tumor on her left leg. It's the size of a golf ball."

Eddie let out her own sigh.

"Meaning its harmless. So that means you have nothing to worry about."

Jamie nodded and continued rubbing Sadie's back. She was still fast asleep.

"Yes. I just have to keep an eye on it."

Eddie placed a kiss to Jamie's right shoulder and then leaned her head against the side of his.

"You work with a great team of doctors bub. Everything will work out. For the most part it does anyways."

Keeping Sadie in place up against his chest, he glanced down at her.

"My job can sometimes be difficult. But I knew that when I became a doctor. These mothers and babies, they deserve the best care. I work hard every day to make sure they get that. I guess what worries me is, what if this benign tumor turns out not to be just that?"

Eddie took Sadie from Jamie and placed her into her bassinet at the end of the bed. She then sat back down next to Jamie on the bed.

"I think you underestimate yourself bub. You tend to beat yourself up if something goes wrong. Like its your fault. You're caring and compassionate. Do you remember when I was pregnant with Patrick? We thought we were going to lose him during my second trimester. That was the scariest moment of my life. Other than right after Sadie was born."

Jamie pulled Eddie closer to him and kissed the side of her neck.

"It was the scariest moment of my life too babe. I thought I was going to lose you. That blood clot you had in that weird shaped blood vessel inside your uterus, it could've broken off and traveled to your brain or your lungs. I thank god every day that you're still here with me. I have an idea. Let's make tonight family movie night. We could watch some home movies. We haven't dug those out for some time now."

Eddie smiled and leaned closer to Jamie, wrapping her arms around his chest and giving him a side hug.

"Do you know how much I love you right now?"

A smile appeared on Jamie's face, and he kissed the top of her head.

"More than food?"

Eddie made a face and shook her head.

"As much as it pains me to say it: yes. I love you more than food. You are my husband, my rock, my lover and my best friend. All rolled into one. I wouldn't trade that for anything else in the world. Besides the kids of course, and the family."

"Come on kids! Let's go! We're about to start family movie night!"

Jamie and Eddie sat on the couch, while Sadie lie in her bassinet sucking on her pacifier. The couple heard multiple doors opening and then closing. Then five sets of feet running down the stairs. Tilting his head towards the stairs, Jamie used a firm voice.

"Walk down the stairs please."

Maisie froze as she got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Sorry daddy. It's my fault. I told Kaitlyn we should have a race down the stairs to see who could get to the couch first."

Patrick let out an annoyed sigh.

"Really Maisie? You know I run faster than all three of you right?"

Eddie turned her head so that she was facing Patrick.

"Hey Pat, let's keep it civil please. They are your little sisters."

Jamie made a face at Eddie and shook his head.

"Now who sounds like pop?"

Eddie smirked and snuggled closer to him.

"Well, it works, doesn't it?"

Jamie nodded and then motioned for the kids to come all the way to the living room.

"Ok guys, let's all get comfy and start family movie night."

Patrick took a pillow from one of the chairs and placed it on the floor, then lying down on it.

"Taken!"

Cora rolled her eyes at Patrick and spread a blanket on the floor in front of the coffee table. Keena, Maisie and Kaitlyn all sprawled out on top of it, getting comfortable. Finding her own comfortable spot, Cora placed her blanket and pillow from her bedroom onto the floor next to her sisters. Jamie had gone to the kitchen to get everyone snacks. He came back with a tray of different snacks for the kids. He started off with Keena, Maisie and Kaitlyn.

"Ok, for the three younger princesses, I've got some fruit snacks."

All three girl's eyes lit up.

"Thanks daddy!"

Jamie tossed Patrick a bag of pickle chips, and the smile grew on his face.

"Awesome dad! Thanks!"

Cora looked at the now empty tray in Jamie's hands and a pout began to form.

"What about me dad?"

Jamie set the empty tray down on the table and pulled out a package of red licorice from his back pocket.

"I didn't forget you ladybug. I didn't have enough space on the tray, so I put these in my back pocket. Enjoy."

Cora's face lit up and a bright smile replaced her slight pout.

"Thanks dad."

Cora and Jamie's moment of bonding was interrupted by Maisie speaking up.

"Daddy! Are we going to watch Frozen?"

Jamie shook his head and turned the tv on.

"Not tonight honey. Tonight, we are going to watching some home movies."

Patrick looked to Jamie.

"Dad, can we watch the one we took at the Central Park Zoo? That's my favorite."

Jamie smirked.

"Sure bud. But didn't you just get done saying the other day you were getting too old to go to the zoo?"

Patrick looked at Jamie with a sheepish grin on his face.

"Not entirely true dad. I was just saying that in front of the guys. You know."

Shaking his head, Jamie ruffled Patrick's hair.

"It's good to enjoy things while you're a kid bud. As you get older, life goes by so fast."

Patrick nodded and popped a chip in his mouth. Jamie ruffled his hair one more time and then grabbed for the remote.

"Ok everyone. Show time."
