Chapter 186: New Friends Come to Equiestria Part 2: Larxene's Ambush
It was the middle of the night in Manehattan and everyone was already at home, asleep to get some rest before having to go to work the next morning, except for those few night owls that were out at night partying with their friends, having a grand old time, not having a care in the world. Out on the sidewalk, Saife was storming down the sidewalk, trying to find Spyro while Jade, Mandy, and Ducky were walking right behind her, Ducky having difficulty keeping up as she limped along, holding her shoulder after removing the daggers from it, Jade looking back at Ducky and growing concerned for her as she looked to Saife.
"Saife, maybe we should stop for a bit." Jade suggested. "Ducky's injured and-"
"You heard her, she's been hurt worse than that." Saife said "The sooner we find this Spyro, the sooner we can-"
"Geez, why are you in such a rush?" Mandy asked. "It's not like we are in any rush."
"Look, I was just taken from my island, where I was peacefully tanning and relaxing when Jeral took me from there." Saife replied. "I was just minding my own business when he took me away from my home, so the sooner we can find this Spyro and take care of this Orion fellow, the sooner I can go home and not have to deal with someone else's problem, understand?"
She then continued to walk on the sidewalk, walking randomly to try and find Spyro while Jade was worried, seeing how determined Saife was and how she disregarded how injured Ducky was, continuing to walk after the ticked off Tenrec as they continued to look for Spyro, but since they didn't have any idea where he was, they were just aimlessly wondering around trying to find him. However, as they were walking, Larxene appeared on the roof top of one of the buildings, looking down to the streets at them as she smiled.
"Geez, could you guys be anymore out of place?" Larxene asked herself. "Well, since I'm here, might as well take care of this before these guys start to cause trouble."
A moment later, several Ninja's appeared from the darkness, looking down at the group as they waited for the right moment to strike, which wasn't too long as they rounded a corner and they entered the next street, the Nobodies following after them to get ready to attack. On the street, the group was walking along the sidewalk, but as they walked, they were drawing a lot of eyes to them, being watched by a bunch of confused ponies whp were trying to figure out who they were, what they and why a pony, a minotaur, a griffon hybrid, and whatever Saife was would be walking together, making the Tenrec feel uncomfortable as she moved faster, wanting not to be seen as the others followed slowly behind, noticing how she was acting and growing nervous.
"Is it just me, or does Saife not like us much?" Ducky asked.
"I don't think she likes being away from home." Jade said, looking to her, seeing how she was trying not to be noticed as she walked faster. "And I don't think she likes people, or ponies in this case, starring at her."
"Well unfortunately for her, I think she's going to draw a lot of eyes." Ducky said, looking to the ponies out on the other sidewalk and seeing they were starring at them. "I think we're all going to draw a lot of attention to ourselves."
"Yeah, especially since we're walking with a giant bull like thing and something jumbled up between a bird and a horse." Mandy said. "And this prince guy, who knows who the heck he is."
"Jeral said he sticks out from the rest of the inhabitants here." Jade said. "Kinda like we do, meaning he's probably something just as weird. And he said he's purple and a purple pony isn't exactly common in this place, so finding them might be easy."
"In this huge of a city, yeah right." Ducky said, still limping along. "Besides, with my injuries, I'll only slow you lot down."
"She's right." Saife said, turning to them. "We need to find a place to stay for the night. We'll pick up on the search tomorrow. Question is, where the heck will we stay? It's not like we have money to pay for a room for the night."
"Well, I got twenty one hundred yen." Mandy said, reaching for her pocket.
"Forget it." Saife said. She pointing to a vendor who was selling his wares at night, revealing that the customer paid with a couple of gold coins, taking a piece of pie as he left. "My guess is that in this world, those gold coins are the currency here. Yen is worthless here, along with any other kinds of money we have on us."
"It would have been nice for Jeral to give us some cash while we're here." Ducky said, ripping of a piece of her pant leg to wrap around her wound. "So, what's the plan for tonight? Just sleep in a dark alleyway and let the bugs eat us?"
"Look, unless you have any better ideas about where we sleep for the night, back alley's will have to do." Saife said. "Come on, let's get go. I think I saw something to keep us dry incase it rains."
They walked around a corner into an alleyway to try and find something to keep them dry during the night, but as they walked, they were suddenly surrounded by Dusks and a few Samurai, surprising them as more and more appeared around them, Larxene laughing as she came out of hiding, slowly approaching them as they stood there, glaring at the Nobody.
"I'm surprised to actually see you lot survived." Larxene said, spinning her daggers. "And you have a new friend as well. Someone I've never met before. And who might you be?"
"My name is none of your business." Saife said, showing no fear as she stood there, crossing her arms as she showed no emotion. "And you must be this Nobody that Jeral mentioned."
"Jeral?" Larxene asked, not knowing the name. "Who the heck is Jeral? Ah, doesn't matter, you three were lucky to have been saved by some stranger, but I can guarantee that your luck has just run out."
She motioned for her Nobodies to attack, which they charged straight towards the group, but before they could do a thing, a ring od fire appeared around the group, forcing the Nobodies to retreat and stare at the group as the ring burned, everyone looking to Saife as she held up her hand as she chanted quietly, keeping them safe before she expanded the ring, engulfing all of the Nobodies there in flames and destroying the, Larxene not looking amused as Saife just smiled.
"That all you got?" Saife asked.
"Oh, believe me, I've got more." Larxene said.
A moment later, one of the Ninja's thast was above them came down and stabbed Saife in the stomach, making her gasp as she looked down and saw the sword in her stomach, the Ninja removing it and making her fall to the ground, clutching the wound she had while Jade pulled out her revolvers, finally getting her balance as she pointed it at the Ninja, pulling the trigger and blasting the Heartless away, destroying it instantly.
"Saife!" Jade shouted.
However, before she could move, a Sniper took a shot at her, but thankfully it missed her and she looked up, pointing at the Sniper and pulled the trigger, destroying it with one shot while Mandy jumped in front and a moment later, the pink blob reappeared and surrounded Mandy, making her look like a pink slime girl again as she drew back a punch and sent it towards Larxene, who just dodged like it was nothing, throwing her daggers at mandy to do some damage, but the daggers just bounced off of her, making her giggle as every attack just bounced off of her. As Jade and Mandy were fighting, Ducky tried to help, but due to her injuries, she was limited to what she could do, limping over and smashing a couple of the dusks and avoiding being shot by one of the snipers, looking up and seeing there were more of them now as they took aim at the group and fired at will, forcing Ducky to hide behind the walls of one of the building while a couple stray shots just missed Saife.
"Ducky, get Saife out of here!" Jade shouted, firing at the Snipers and landing a hit on a couple of them. "We need to get to safety, now!"
"But where the heck will we go!?" Mandy asked, bouncing off of the buildings to attack the Snipers, nailing a couple before falling back to the ground. "If we go back, we'll be in the middle of the street! We'll be exposed!"
"It's better than being picked off here!" Jade replied. "Ducky, can you clear us a path!?"
"Let me." Saife said, picking herself up.
She used her left hand to cover the wound while raisiing her right hand, building up her magic into a single energy ball and sent it towards the direction they had used to enter the Alleyway, which a couple of dusks dodged to avoid the hit, preparing to attack, but as soon as it hit the gorund, it suddenly exploded, sending all of the Nobodies flying as Saife fell, feeling weaker and weaker as it happened. Ducky rushed over and picked the injured Tenrec up, running out of the alley while Mandy and Jade provided cover for them, firing at the snipers while Mandy provided cover for Ducky and Saife, running after them while Larxene just walked out, looking in the direction that they were running in as she smiled.
"Follow them." Larxene said. "They will try to find some place safe to lay low for a while, but they'll try to find help for the overgrown rodent first. Once they stop to find help, finish them."
The dusk nodded and rushed after the group to finish them off, Larxene smiling as they ran after the group as a corridor opened up behind her, going into it to find a better spot to watch the fun unfold. In the Corridor of Dreams, Luna had just pulled Spyro out of his dream to inform him of what she and her sister had just witnessed, informing him about the disappearing stars and how worried she was that it may affect Equestria if whatever was causing it came to them, which had Spyro scratching his chin as he thought it over.
"Stars disappearing from the night sky?" Spyro asked, knowing what that meant. "Sounds like the heartless have gotten into the hearts of a couple of worlds."
"But how?" Luna asked.
"Well, each world has a Keyhole." Spyro replied. "Each Keyhole leads into the heart of that particular world, which it well hidden for if a Heartless crawls inside of the Keyhole, then that worlds heart will be destroyed and that world will cease to exist."
"So... what does that mean for Equestria?" Luna asked.
"Well, not much really." Spyro replied. "So long as we protect the Keyhole here in Equestria, then this world will be safe. And if we find it, the Keyblade can lock the keyhole and seal the entryway into the heart of this world, keeping it safe."
"But where exactly is it?" Luna asked.
"I'm not sure." Spyro replied. "As I mentioned, they're pretty well hidden, so it might be nearly impossible to know where it is without there being some kind of text to let us know or clue us in on it's location. Still, I should do a bit more investigating, see what I can find out about these disappearing worlds. Maybe we might get lucky and-"
A moment later, he heard something loud outside, waking up instantly as he heard loud popping coming from outside the open window, Spyro groaning as he got up and out of the bed, Rarity stirring awake as she watched him walk over to the window and shut it, cancelling out the noise as he walked back over to the bed.
"What ever is the matter dear?" Rarity asked as Spyro got back into the bed. "Why did you close the window? The breeze was exquisite."
"Eh, got woken up by a bunch of banging." Spyro said, laying down next to Rarity and wrapping his foreleg around her barrel as she smiled, laying her head down next to his as they tried to go back to sleep. "Sounded a lot like gunfire." However, as he closed his eyes, they shot wide open, his head shooting up and looking to the window as he realized something. "Gunfire!?"
He then bolted out of the bed, fully waking Rarity up as she watched him run to the window and open the window, putting his head out the window as he still heard the popping going off, looking around to find out were it was coming from, but because of the buildings, the sound was bouncing off the buildings, causing it to sound like it was coming from all directions, making it difficult to pinpoint where the sound was originating from.
"Darling, what's wrong?" Rarity asked, walking over to him.
"Someone or something is shooting a gun." Spyro said, looking back to Rarity. "And Equestria doesn't have guns. That came only mean that whoever is shooting it is not from Equestria."
"You think they're from another world?" Rarity asked.
"More than likely." Spyro replied, looking out the window. "I'm going to check it out. Stay here Rare."
"Not likely darling." Rarity replied. "We stick together and fight together, no matter what."
"But... you're not much of a fighter Rare." Spyro pointed out. "You're usually the one who tries to not get dirty as much as possible."
"Oh, but that doesn't mean I won't help a friend when needed." Rarity said, giving him a playful smile. "Especially one who knows how to treat a lady."
Spyro felt his face get a little warm as she walked out of the, blushing from the comment, but just shook his head, following after the playful unicorn to try and see who it was that was shooting a gun and what they were shooting at. Meanwhile in the middle of the street, Ducky was carrying Saife as she fought to stay awake after being stabbed by one of the Samurai, Mandy and Jade providing cover as the griffon hybrid was firing her revolvers, hitting the ones that were far away and taking out the snipers to try and provide them with some hope of not getting hit while Mandy used her stretching abilities to hit the ones that got to close, knockign them away or smashing them into the ground as they backed away, more and more Nobodies taking the places of their fallen allies, making mandy hiss in frustration as they retreated.
"These things are like cockroaches!" Mandy said, grabbing one and tossing it into the aid as Jade made it look like swiss cheese. "As soon as we destroy one, two more takes it's place!"
"I know!" Jade said, blasting another Sniper as a new one appeared, aiming it's weapon as it fired. "We can't keep going on like this! We need a new plan!"
"We literally need a freaking bomb to take them all out at once!" Mandy exclaimed, stretching far enough punch a line through the enemy, but as she retracted, more popped out from the ground and approached. "Geez, feels like a zombie apocalypse here! Wish Saife was well enough to blast them all with a thing of magic!"
"Or we had the prince!" Jade said, blasting another one when she got an idea. "Wait a minute, I got something!"
She reached behind her, which it was revealed she still had her belt with the holsters on it to carry her revolvers, putting one of them in the holster as she pulled out a round that was red in color, but a bit larger than normal.
"What the heck is that!?" Mandy asked, dodging a sniper bolt.
"A modified Emergency Distress Flare." Jade replied, loading it in as Mandy knocked down a Berserker. "Yang and I came up with this idea back in Vale before it was destroyed. Works like a regular distress flare, except it's a bit smaller and it fits into my weapon."
"Meaning?" Mandy asked as she stretched up to avoid a blast.
"Meaning that if the Prince is here, if I fire this thing into the air, he'll see it." Jade replied, getting it ready.
"You realize there are a bunch of skyscrapers here, right?" Mandy asked, punching a Dusk that got too close. "No way he'll see it."
"You got a better idea?" Jade asked.
Without waiting for a response, Jade pointed the revolver into the air, pulling the trigger and a moment later, it shot out of the gun, flying into the air and exploding, creating a bright red light as they continued to back away.
"I hope your plan works." Mandy said, looking back to the group and just narrowly avoiding getting jumped.
Meanwhile on another street, Spyro and Rarity were walking along the sidewalk, listening for the gunfire that was going off, hearing it all around them, but because the noise was bouncing off of the buildings, making it resonate all wround them, it made it nearly impossible to determine where it was coming from, messing with Spyro's tracking skills.
"Oh, isn't tonight lovely Spyro?" Rarity asked, getting his attention as she looked to the sky. "The stars are just lovely at night, wouldn't you agree?"
"They are indeed." Spyro said, wrapping his wing around Rarity as he nuzzled her. "But none as pretty as you and the others."
"Oh Spyro darling." Rarity said, the two stopping and kissing one another, enjoying the moment that they had before something bright lit up in the sky, getting their attention as they looked up, finding that it was the flare that Jade had shot up previusly, hoping to get some attention. "What in Equestria is that?"
"An Emergency Distress flare." Spyro replied. "Sailors and sometimes foresters, or anyone else who has purchased a Flare gun and flares use them in order to get the attention of people around them, hoping to reveal their location to be rescued."
"And if that flare was shot up to get someponies attention..." Rarity said, watching as it started to fall.
"It must be whoever's been popping off all those shots we've been hearing." Spyro said, looking around and finding a path towards the flare. "Rare, go through there and meet me at the flare's location. I'll go into the air and get to the one who fired that thing. They might be hurt."
"Alright darling, but do be careful." Rarity said. "I'll see what i can do to meet you there."
He unfurled his wings and without a moment's hesitation, took off into the air while Rarity ran to the directin of the alleyway, hoping to meet up with Spyro to give him a hand as she knew there might be a fight. Meanwhile with the other group, they were slowly running out of steam, Mandy was starting to feel the effects of using her quirk too much as her arms and legs were now taking longer to retract while Jade was trying to fire her revolvers in all directions, trying to keep them at bay, but was suddenly rushed and knocked down, the berserker trying to smash her, but she rolled out of the way and avoided the hit, opening fire on it's head and taking it down, but a Samurai slashed to the side, knocking her revolvers away as she was forced to back away, falling onto her rear as she backed away while Ducky tried to fight off the Dusks surrounding them, Ducky doing her best to keep them back while holding onto Saife, but they then knocked her down, pinning her to the ground while a couple of Berserkers grabbed Mandy's arms, holding onto her as Larxene approached, heading towards jade first with a smile while holding her daggers in her aura.
"You were good, at running away." Larxene said, approaching Jade. "I must say, you handle your weapons pretty well, but unfortunately, you won't get to use them anymore. But don't worry, I'll hold onto them as trophies."
"You will pay for this you monster! Jade shouted. "I'll make you pay!"
"Heh, I highly doubt that." Larxene said, getting ready to finish her off. However, in the air above, Jade noticed something in the air, which it was a massive ball of fire and Larxene noticed the confused look on her face and looked up, seeing the fireall and knew exactly what it was, diving out of the way as it exploded on the ground, sending many Nobodies flying everywhere, landing on the gorund and exploding while Jade and her companions were unaffected by the blast, Larxene looking to the smoke of the area the ball hit and standing in it was Spyro, smiling at her as he stood between her and the group. "Seriously!? You again!?"
"Larxene?" Spyro asked, looking back and seeing the mixed up group of other worldly beings, realizing what she was doing as he looked back at Larxene. "So, the Organizations is now attacking and destroying worlds?"
"What can I say?" Larxene asked. "We'll do whatever it takes to be whole again."
She then threw her daggers at him, which he just leapt into the air as flames ignited on his wings, hovering in the air for a moment before flapping them once in Larxene's directions, creating a funnel of red hot flames that began to suck the Nobodies in, causing several Dusks and Creepers to get pulled into the funnel and get destroyed instantly while larxene was trying to hold her ground, throwing her daggers at him, which he ended his spell and turned into shadows. Larxene was looking around, trying to find Spyro in the darkness as she felt a little spooked that he had all of a sudden disappeared, but a moment later, a couple more Nobodies expoded, creating light that was just bright enough to reveal Spyro in the shadows, one of the shadows moving away, so Larxene looked around and saw a street lamp, rushing over and standing underneath it to wait for Spyro, knowing that the light would cancel out his shadow spell. However, as she waited, more of her nobodies were getting destroyed, causing Larxene's guard to be at an all time high until the light suddenly went out, Larxene looking back as Spyro rushed at her, swinging his blade, but she ducked to avoid the hit, flipping backwards as they fought.
"Wow, this guy's good." Jade said, watching Spyro put Larxene on the defensive as she continued to back away. However, a moment later, Larxene decided to use her speed and disappear, moving around opponent to try and disorientate him and make him loose her, but as she made her move towards Spyro with a couple of her daggers in her aura, Spyro just flipped over her, dodging the attack before suddenly disappearing, the group looking around to try and find him until they saw a spark of light, watchign for more as the two opponents were moving with super human speed. "Wow, they're fast!"
"That's no kidding." Mandy said. "How the heck can they be this fast?"
"Who cares, we need to help Saife!" Ducky said, trying to cover the Tenrec's wound. "She won't last much longer! We need to get her to a hospital!"
"That won't be necessary." Saife replied. Ducky looked down to see that their friend was awake and alive, putting her hand over the wound and a red light appeared, healing her wound in an instant, surprising Ducky as she watched her sit up. "I've been injured worse than that."
"Saife, you're ok!" Mandy said excitedly as she retracted her limbs completely.
"Eh, it'll take more than a stab to the gut to take me down." Saife said, looking up to see glimpses of light where Larxene and Spyro were clashing, watching them as she got up. "So, who's winning?"
"So far, we don't know." Mandy replied. "But I'll tell you one thing, whoever this purple dude is, he's powerful. I mean, he created a fire tornado, turned into shadows, dispatched more of these Nobody things..."
"Wait, you said purple?" Saife asked, which Mandy nodded. "And did he look different?"
"Other than having dragon horns, eyes, wings, and a tail?" Ducky asked, shakily getting up. "Yep, he looked completely out of place."
Before Saife could say another world, they heard something crash in front of them, looking down to see it was Larxene, covered in a few bruises and a few scratches, pushing herself up a bit to try and get up, but as she lookd up, she noticed that she had a gun barrel in her face, looking to see that Jade and her group were all standing in front of her, Ducky smacking her fist into her hand as she cracked her knucles while Mandy made a cracking sound with her neck, even though she was now using her smile ability, they could all still hear it. Saife however crossed her arms, not looking very happy as several red orbs appeared above her. A moment later, Spyro levitated down, landing on his hooves as he approached the downed Nobody, stabbing his Keyblade into the ground and hopping up to lean on it, looking down at Larxene as she shook his head.
"Oh Larxene, when are you going to learn?" Spyro asked. "First, you attack and destroy multiple worlds and now you invade Equestria to try and hunt down a few survivors? Geez, has the Organization really sunk that low?"
"We'll do whatever it takes to become whole again." Larxene said, standing up again as she wobbled a bit before turning to him. "And we will do whatever it takes to make that goal come true."
"Yeah, news flash, destroying worlds is not the way to do so." Spyro said, everyone looking up at him after finally realizing wht he had just said.
"Wait, destroy worlds?" Jade asked, lowering her revolver. "What do you mean?"
"Larxene here's been destroying some worlds." Spyro said, everyone looking at her. "A couple of stars disappeared from the night sky, indicating that a couple of worlds have been destroyed. My guess is, they're your worlds."
"Our worlds?" Mandy asked, feeling a lump form in her throat. "Our homes?"
"No, that can't be." Ducky said, walking up. "I was still home when she attacked. Nothing bad happened to it."
"I wouldn't say that." Larxene said, smiling as she crossed her arms. "The Heartless already entered the heart of your world. It should be going away right... about..." They all looked up into the sky, seeing another star disappear as Spyro could feel millions of people fade, hearing their screams as he felt them being turned itno Heartless and Nobodies, looking to Larxene in pure rage as Ducky looked at Larxene, seeing the smile on her face as she stood there. "Now."
"YOU MONSTER!" Ducky shouted.
Despite her injuries, she found the strength to rush towards Larxene, feeling a sudden burst of power rise inside of her as she reached out to it, feelign all of that power inside of her as a blood red aura surrounded her, her eyes turning red as Larxene dodged the attack, getting one of her daggers out to slice her gut open, but as she did, Ducky suddenly dodged the attack, moving with speed almost equal to Larxene's and surprising the Nobody as she suddenly grabbed her by her throat, throwing her into one of the nearby buildings, causing a small geyser of dust and concrete to come out as Ducky leapt towards Larxene, who managed to get herself down before she got smashed further into the building, but then Ducky dropped down, landing ontop of her and punching her deeper and deeper into the ground, everyone watching as she continued to hulk out on Larxene, everyone's eyes wide with shock and horror.
"Geez, is she the long lost cousin of the Hulk!?" Spyro asked.
"Hey, I wouldn't blame her for being angry if I lost my home." Saife said, watching the fight as Larxene finally got free and tried to flee, but Ducky grabbed her and slammed her into the ground, stomping on her as everyone flinched. "Ouch, she's not gonna recover from that."
"Trust me, Nobodies are far more resiliant that you would believe." Spyro said, watching the fight. "I've tangoed with Larxene many times and she keeps coming back like the injuries are nothing."
However, as Ducky was picking her up to deal a lethal blow, a geyser of pure darkness erupted from the ground, sending a shockwave that caused Ducky to drop Larxene and get sent flying backwards and from it, Xemnas walked through, looking down at Larxene and seeing the state she was in, picking her up to get her out of there.
"Whose this guy?" Jade asked, pointing her weapons at him.
"Xemnas." Spyro replied, getting ready for a fight. "He's the head honcho of Organization XIII. He's the one who ordered the destruction of your worlds."
"That's all I needed to hear." Jade said.
She pointed her revolvers at Xemnas and fired, but as she did, a barrier appeared around him, blocking the shot as he looked over to them, seeing the angry group ready to fight before looking to Spyro.
"Quite an interesting group of friends you have there Spyro." Xemnas said, smiling. "Now why would a prince mingle with urchins from the gutter?"
"Wait, you're the prince!?" Saife asked, looking at him.
"At least I can make friends that I can rely on rather than have a bunch of mindless drones die for me everytime they get into a fight." Spyro said.
"I would love to stick around and continue out little conversation, but I'm afraid I must leave and tend to my pawn here." Xemnas said, looking at Larxene before looking to Spyro. "But I won't be leaving you alone, for I have a special playmate just for you."
A moment later, from the massive geyser came the Kurt Zisa, roaring out in rage as it charged towards the group, everyone scattering to avoid getting hit by the massive blades that it had while Xemnas walked back through the geyser. Meanwhile, the Kurt Zisa was swinging it's blades, attempting to hit it while Mandy used her Quirk to protect herself, the blades bouncing off of her without any harm coming to her while Saife summoned four swords made out of red light, commanding them to engage the Heartless and slice at it as Jade fired her revolvers, trying to do whatever kind of damage she could do, but the attacks prove to be useless, the Heartless roaring in rage from the constant attack as Spyro leapt towards it, unleashing dozens of razor sharp cresent shaped lights towards the Heartless, but they just bounced off, not doing any damage as everyone backed off.
"It's no good!" Saife shouted, raising her hands to create a massive energy sphere and sending it to the Heartless, hitting it, but it did no damage. "It's as if the more we hit it, the less damage we're doing to it!"
"It's a Kurt Zisa!" Spyro shouted, blocking both of it's swords. "It's a powerful Heartless that has incredible thick armor! Conventional weapons won't hurt it!"
"Then what will!?" Jade asked, shooting it in the head, which caused it to stagger backwards. "Nevermind, I figured it out."
At that moment, the Kurt Zisa roared in anger, two blue spheres appeared before turning red, which as they did, Mandy's pink gooey armor disappeared, surprising her as Jade unloaded both revolvers into it's head, doing some damage, but when she fired again, the revolvers just clicked, revealing that they were empty, much to her surprise while Saife conjured a massive red fist, throwing it to punch it, but the fist just faded, turning into whisps of light as it swung it's blades, attempting to hit it if Spyro hadn't jumped in the way and blocked the attack, surprisng Saife at how strong he was as he held the blades.
"Not again!" Mandy said, looking at herself. "What's happening!? Why did my Quirk just fade!?"
"It's the Heartless." Spyro said, calmly, pushing it back as it fell to the ground, turning to Mandy. "The Kurt Visa has six arms, two for it's massive blades, two for a pair of orbs that negate magic and special abilities, and the last two can create a shield."
"Well that would have been nice to know earlier!" Saife shouted.
She looked up and just barely managed to duck as the blade went straight for Spyro, everyone expecting his head to come off, but he held up his foreleg and the blade hit the Beskar plated bracers, the blade shattering into dozens of pieces as Saife, Jade, and Mandy looked at him in absolute shock and confusion, wondering how he actually did that as the Heartless raised it's second blade to attack, but Spyro just dodged the attack, moving like he just didn't care as he allowed his motions to be smooth and graceful like he was dancing, kicking up a couple of rocks and kicking them towards the Heartless, smashing the orbs with one hit and causing it to fall to the ground, disorientated as Ducky got up and rubbed her head.
"Ugh, did one of you get the license plate off that truck?" Ducky asked, looking to the fight and seeing the Kurt Zisa fall to the ground, looking to Spyro as he landed on the ground, looking more bored than anything. "Geez, at least look excited when you take down your opponent."
"The Kurt Zisa is vulnerable!" Spyro shouted, revealing their magic has returned after some flames appeared on Spyro's wings, Jade finding that her revolver now had bullets again, Mandy's quirk worked again as she turned back into slime and Saife's magic returned, snapping her fingers as dozens of red arrows appeared. "Take the opportunity and strike!"
A moment later, the Kurt Zisa's head popped out and hissed, everyone attacking it all together with Mandy unleashing a flurry of punches at it while Jade pulled out a canteen and drank it's contents, puckering up a second later as her revolvers started to glow, putting the canteen away and firing a very powerful shot at the Heartless, nailing it in the head and causing it to become seperated from it's body, hissing in pain as it righted itself and tried to slither back towards it's body. However, Saife unleashed her magic, molding the earth to pin the heartless to the ground as she raised her hand and sent the arrows flying towards it, hitting it with a barrage of red arrows made from magical light, making it hiss more in pain.
But as Spyro was fast approaching it, the snake like head managed to free itself, quickly slithering back to it's body and getting back into the armor. It then got up and created a shield around it, floating in the air as it moved it's arms, creating a few tornadoes that surrounded the group and sent them flying to Spyro, who activated his armor in time to take the full force of the hit, getting sent flying into the air as the Kurt Zisa spawned in some orbs of dark energy and they went flying to the group, exploding around them and sending them flying backwards while three of them hit Spyro at the same time, exploding on impact and sending him to the ground, roaning in pain as the helmet was drawn back, looking up at the group.
"Ok, I completely forgot the Kurt Zisa can use magic while it's shield is up." Spyro said, feeling the pain, even though he had armor on. "That one's on me."
"Now what?" Jade asked, dodging another orb. "This thing doesn't seem like it's going to stop."
"We need a game changer." Spyro said, getting up and dodging another orb.
"Spyro!" Rarity shouted.
They all looked to Rarity as she came rushing to them, one of the orbs changing direction and heading towards her, but Syro just blocked the attack and got Rarity behind cover as the Heartless continued to unleash it's attacks.
"Rarity, you ok?" SPyro asked.
"I'm find darling." Rarity replied. "But what on Equestria is that thing?"
"It's a Kurt Zisa." Spyro replied. "It's a very powerful Heartless that negates magic and can do some serious damage. It will tear this city apart if we don't stop this thing."
"Well darling, it's a good thing I'm here then." Rarity said, looking at the Kurt Zisa. "I think a fusion is in order, don't you?"
"I couldn't agree more." Spyro replied.
A moment later, a golden sphere surrounded them both and shattered a second later, a white pillar shot into the air, followed closely by a white unicorn and then by a purple dragon, roaring out as they flew higher and higher until they entered the pillar together, and a moment later, a shadow appeared in the light and coming out of it was Spyro, wearing the ponyfied version of the armor he wore from Notre Dome when fighting Frollo, summoning the Combined Keyblades that went witht hat form as the Kurt Zisa unleashed more of the dark orbs towards Spyro, but he just rushed towards the Kurt Zisa as it pulled out a new sword, roaring out to attack, but the unocorn head on Spyro's left shoulder started to glow, the fused pony sliding to the right as it swung and stood on his hind legs, moving like he was a water bender as he sent several diamonds out of the ground and towards the Heartless, piercing through the armor as it roared in pain, collapsing to the ground as Spyro stopped, leaping up as he spun his foreleg, creating a storm above him, but instead of lightning, it started to snow, making the Heartless look up as a blizzard started, creating freezing winds and hail that struck the Heartless, cauing it to stagger backwards as it was being pelted by gold ball sized hail, but then a baseball size one hit it in the head, causing it to become disorientated.
Spyro then ended his spell and a moment later, the ground beneath erupted, sending severasl large spikes of crystal and precious gems out of the ground and rowatds the Heartless, which it managed to dodge a couple of them, but one spike went through it's foot, making it yell in agony while another sent through it's torso, making it roar in pain. It then tried to conjure the orbs to negate the magic, the crystals starting to shake as one orb appeared, but before it could get the other, Ducky ran over and grabbed it's arm, yanking it down and disrupting it, making the Heartless look at her while Jade and Mandy worked together, Jade firing until her revolvers clicked again hitting the orb while Mandy swung around while her Quirk was still active, flinging herself towards the other orb and smashing through it, causing a small explosion that disorientated the massive Heartless. A moment later, Ducky managed to rip off the Heartless's arm as dark mist came out of the wound, making it screech in pain while Jade shot the other one off, negativing it's ability to use it's ability to prevent them from using their powers.
"Looks like you;'re going to have the pleasure of fighting us unarmed." Ducky said.
However, the scene then changed to a football field where there were three referees, all three of which were miniature versions of Spyro who blew a whistle as a crowd was cheering and booing the bad joke.
"Comedy violation!" The first referee said.
"Flag on the joke!" The second one said.
"First down, Kurt Zisa!" The third one announced, spinning it's arms to indicate the motion to resume the play. "Resume play!"
It then went back to the fight, which the Kurt Zisa back handed Ducky into one of the nearby, breakign the crystal that was holding it as it tried to take a swing at the group, just barely avoiding it as Spyro landed in front fo them, blocking the attack and throwing it back as it got it's blades out, ready to finish the job as Spyro starred at it.
"Rare, I think it's time we finished this." Spyro said.
"I couldn't have said it better myself darling." Rarity replied, freaking them out.
"Did a woman's voice just come out of you dude?" Jade asked.
Spyro then leapt into the air as it started to shine and sparkle, the eyes on the unicorn shoulder guard glowing as from the air, several rubies appeared, growing as long as spears as Spyro connected the two Keyblades together, a light shining out from the empty sections of the two blades as he swung the blade towards the Heartless, the rubies shooting forward as the Kurt Zisa got ready to fight, but each of the rubies hit it's arms, pinning it to the ground as it tried to free itself, hissing in pure anger as Spyro flew down, holding the blade as a diamond shot up, entering it as he split into six differently colored versions of himself, all charging towards it. The Heartless tried to free itself, but the crystals were more durable than the last set, so it extended it's head to try and hit them, but each of the different versions of himself slashed through the head before slicing through the body, leaving behind six differently colored slash marks on the body as the six colorful versions fused back together, crystals of all kinds growing on it's body before exploding, the heart escaping into the sky and disappearing.
A moment later, Spyro closed his eyes and both he and Rarity seperated from one another, the fusion coming to an end as Ducky got up, feeling her head was splitting as she walked up to Spyro and Rarity.
"Ugh, that thing really knows how to pack a punch." Ducky said.
"Most Heartless usually do." Spyro said, cracking his back. "Trust me, I have the bruises to back that up."
"You have bruises?" Rarity asked, giving him a sly smile. "But I didn't see any earlier while we were alone."
Spyro then started blushing, looking over to the others, who were confused at first, but then it clicked, smiling at him as he put his hoof over his eyes, knowing he wasn;t going to live that down.
"Oh, did we interrupt a little one on one time?" Jade asked, the other three snickering while Spyro just looked annoyed as his face was still red.
"Ok, can we change the subject please before this things is forced to rated M?" Spyro asked, the blush finally disappearing. "Alright, who are you girls? Where the heck did you come from? And why was Larxene after you?"
"I'm Jade." The griffon hybrid replied. "Jade Lemon. This is Mandy, Ducky, and Saife. We were brought here by someone called Jeral and-"
"Jeral!?" Spyro asked, completely shocked. "You mean the fourteenth Prince of Light and Darkness!?"
"Yeah, that't him." Mandy replied. "He dressed up like an owl and everything."
"Heh, figures." Spyro replied. "Dude was pretty wise and cunning when he was alive. I'm Spyro VanVickle, Prince of Light and Darkness."
"Yeah, we kinda figured that." Saife said. "Jeral said we were supposed to help you to stop someone called Orion."
As soon as she spoke his name, Spyro could feel his entire body tense up, his color draining as he knew that name, Rarity looking up at him and seeing how he was reacting, getting worried as she wrapped her foreleg around his.
"Darling, are you alright?" Rarity asked.
"Did you just say Orion?" Spyro asked, which the others looked at one another, knowing that what Saife said had triggered something by his reaction. "Oh no."
"Spyro, what's wrong?" Rarity asked, now more worried than ever. "Who is this Orion?"
"I'll explain everything." Spyro replied. "But we need to get the others involved."
"Others?" Ducky asked.
"Come with me and all your questions will be answered." Spyro replied.
He turned and started to walk in the direction of the hotel that he and his friends were staying in, the group looking at one another and shrugging their shoulders, not having any better ideas as they followed after him to get the answers they needed. Elsewhere at the Nobody stronghold, Xemnas was carrying Larxene down the hall towards the healing chamber, Demyx coming out after having just returned from Equestria when he noticed his leader and the hobbled mess that was Larxene, running over to see what had happened.
"Dude, what happened to you?" Demyx asked, looking at Larxene. "Did the prince do that?"
"Hardly." Xemnas replied. "It was a survivor of one of the worlds that Larxene was ordered to destroy. Apparently she was more powerful than we anticipated."
"Geez, if she did that to her, hate to think what she'd do to me." Demyx said.
"Demyx, take her to the healing chamber." Xemnas said, passing her to Demyx. "I'm going to talk with Ansem about getting Xigbar to finish up what Larxene started."
"No." Larxene said, getting up on her own and looking at him through her one remaining good eye. "I'm not beaten yet. I can finish the mission. Please, let me-"
"No, you had your chance." Xemnas replied, using a stern voice to silence her. "You may have succeeded in destroying three out of the four worlds, but you allowed for suriviors to remain and make our mission that more difficult."
"It's not my fault that the ghost of a prince decided to interfere." Larxene said, barely able to stand as Demyx rushed over, supporting her as she looked at him. "Please sir, let me-"
"I have spoken." Xemnas replied, ending the conversation. "Demyx, get her to the chamber, then report to Vexen to try out the new crystals he's been working on. Says they'll give us an advantage."
"Yes sir." Demyx said, starting to move Larxene away.
"And Larxene, once you're finished healing, don't expect anymore missions anytime soon." Xemnas said as they walked away. "Until further notice, you're on the bench."
Larxene glarred at her leader, allowing for Demyx to carry her to the chamber to get healed while Xemnas went into the main room to talk with Ansem. However, as Demyx was carrying Larxene, she was grumbling to herself, Demyx barely able to pick up on anything she was saying as they went along, but whatever it was, it couldn't have been good.
"Why does he think I'm useless?" Larxene asked. "I destroyed three of the targets, yet I mess up once and I'm on the chopping block and bench like I'm nothing!?"
"Dude, you got banged up real bad." Demyx said, trying to defend their leader. "Until you're fully healed, he won't take any chances. For now, let Xigbar handle the last world while you rest. Trust me, you need it."
Larxene was glarring at Demyx, not believing she was listening to one of the weakest members in the organization as he was carrying her to the chamber to get herself healed, but as they went there, they passed Vexen's lab, Larxene looking in to see thirteen pink crystals floating in a stasis pod, which caught her attention as she starred at them.
"What are those things?" Larxene asked.
"Some kind of new crystal Vexen's working on." Demyx replied. "According to him, they're supposed to give whoever uses it a real power boost, evolving their powers to a whole new level."
"And Xemnas wants you to test them?" Larxene asked, shocked to hear that.
"Eh, what can I say, I got charisma." Demyx replied. "Now come on, let's-"
Before he could finish, he felt a sudden sharp pain in his back, collapsing to the ground as one of Larxene's daggers was stuck to the side of his back, looking up to see Larxene smiling while she was holding her side.
"Sorry looser, but I'm not letting some eye-patch wearing mercenary." Larxene said, walking away. "He needs at least somebody who sees the big picture."
However, a moment later, the same football scene from earlier popped up, the same three referee's blowing their whistles before spitting them out.
"Comedy violation!" The First Referee said.
"Flag on the joke!" The second one said.
"First down, Demyx and Vexen!" The third one said as he made the same motions with his arms that he did the first time. "Resume play!"
A moment later, Vexen was examining one of the crystals, seeing if they still needed work before putting in on a holding stand, walking away while Larxene was watching, seeing he was leaving it on the table before walking over, slowly approaching the crystal as she saw it glow brighter as she approached, hearing whispers in her ears as she reached for it. But before she could grab it, Vexen grabbed her hand, spooking her as she looked at him.
"Ah, ah, ah, they're not quite ready yet." Vexen said, trying to deter her.
However, he then felt a sudden pain in his gut, looking down to see he was stabbed in the gut, fallign to the ground while Larxene glared at him.
"No one tells me what to do or what I can't do!" Larxene exclaimed, grabbing the crystal. "I'm ending this! And I'm ending it right now!"
A moment later, a corridor opened up behind her, Larxene hobbling to it and passed through as it closed, Demyx walking to the doorway of the lab and seeing Vexen was also injured, though thankfully not fatally as Demyx himself groaned.
"Xemnas is so going to kill us." Demyx said.
Meanwhile on Mobius, in the middle of the Green hills area, a corridor opened up and from it, Larxene walked out, still holding the crystal as she looked around, finding she was now in Mobius as she smiled, looking down at the crystal as it glowed brighter, her eyes truning from blue to pink as she looked forward.
"Now we'll see who's more powerful, now won't we, sir?" She asked herself.
She then started to walk away from where she had just come in on, bent on finishing her mission and showing her leader that no one would bench her, but as she was walking away, she didn't notice that on a cliff a little ways away, a black and red hedgehog wearing white and red shoes was watching her, starring intently at her as he knew that whoever or whatever she was, it was going to be trouble, following her to see what she was up to.
