Chapter 124

City of Nroc (Downtown)

Collector swung through the abandoned city on an enchanted whip, as soldiers from Raizin's army chased him on foot, firing at him with breath beams from below while Altir and soldiers on flying dracs (miniature dragons), chased him in the air.

"STOP INTRUDER!" A soldier yelled.

A drac blasted a fire ball at Collector, missing and flying straight through the building, making a perfect circle all the way through.

"WE SAID STOP!" Another soldier yelled.

Collector sweat profusely as he went through his back bag with his two free hands.

"There's gotta be something in here that can get rid of these lizards!" Collector yelled as he swung onto a building. Collector turned to see Altir was gone.

Collector felt something behind him and turned around halfway.

WHACK! PEWWWWWWWWWW BOOM!

Collector was whacked into a skyscraper far off in the distance and caught in a massive explosion.

Altir lowered his arms and sniffed, looking at the skyscraper in the distance.

The soldiers cheered.

"Heirophant Altir sent him flying!"

"There's no way he survived that!"

"That'll show him! The fool! Scale Team, go confirm the kill!"

In the skyscraper, a bloody Collector, behind a round, purple force field, huffed and puffed as he shakily took off a ring that dispelled the barrier.

Collector's arms fell back at his sides as he went through his bag weakly with his free hands.

"I've had enough... of you damn lizards for one evening..." Collector said.

Collector eventually pulled out a book and smiled sinisterly.

"Here it is..." Collector said softly, "The Labryinth, Book of the Whisperers..."

Collector opened the book and weakly licked his finger as he flipped the pages. There were all sorts of spells and magic at Collector's disposal.

There were enchanting spells to increase the power of weapons or give them certain properties, but the spell Collector was looking for, was...

"Gauntlets of Odar..." Collector said smiling big.

There was a sketch of a man holding his arms outstretched as gigantic, magic gauntlets floated above him, his arms were missing, replaced by magical, see through gauntlets.

"This... is what I need to win!" Collector said, "I could never use this before... because of the requirement to cast the spell!"

Collector was nervous.

"My eternal healing enchantment doesn't work on damage I do to myself... I'll lose these arms for good... but I have no choice!" Collector groaned.

Collector weakly reached into his bag again and pulled out a golden cleaver. Collector looked at the hole in the skyscraper, knowing Altir could be there any moment. Collector raised the cleaver and slammed it down on his left wrist, cutting off his hand.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Collector yelled as blood spilled from his wound.

Collector raised his bloody arm as the blood ran to the ground .

"F-Forecis!" (For-ee-sis), "Gravvulus O-Occtis!"

Collector groaned.

"W-With the... s-sacrifice of my left hand... I ask for your power Odar!" Collector yelled as the spell began to create a magical gauntlet over Collector's missing arm.

With perfect timing, Altir manifested in a bright light in the hole of the skyscraper.

PEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

A gargantuan beam of magical energy blasted out of the hole of the skyscraper swallowing Altir whole as Collector smiled insanely, a giant magical gauntlet in front of him.

"Heh heh heh... H-H-HA HA HA HA HA!" Collector coughed up blood and looked his other hand.

"A-Another to go..." Collector said.

On the ground, the lizard soldiers discussed the beam of energy.

"What in the world was that life force?!"

"I heard only his life force was that powerful!"

"Joy Boy right? I heard that too!"

"Was that beam even life force though? It seemed different!"

Lizard soldiers riding dracs had finally arrived at the skyscraper and stared into the hole in the building.

"There he is!" A soldier yelled.

Collector, with two missing arms covered in magical gauntlets, approached the opening in the skyscraper.

"I'll... have this power... until I pass out... I'll probably die... but I'm taking these lizards out with me!" Collector smiled wickedly.

"F-FIRE!" A soldier yelled.

Dracs began shooting fireballs but Collector swiped his arm and slapped the fireballs away with the giant gauntlets.

"He-He slapped away the fireballs!" A soldier yelled.

Collector snapped his head back and held his arms outstretched in front of him with, moving the gauntlets in front of him.

The lizard soldiers immediately panicked. Some lizard soldiers panicked and ran off without saying why.

"The vision! They must have saw something frightening coming!"

"Why did you run off?! What did you see?!" A lizard soldier asked.

"What's about to happen?!" A soldier asked.

"Don't just wait to find out! Get out of here!"

Collector laughed manically as energy built up in front of the gauntlets.

The energy building up got louder and louder until it was hard to hear. The entirety of Nroc rumbled as the magical energy continued to increase violently.

Raizin's Temple

At Raizin's temple the old lizard lifted his head smoothly and widened his eyes. Raizin shook with what seemed to be fear.

"L-Lord Raizin?" Aanthroy asked.

"Bishop Aanthroy..." Raizin said softly.

"Y-Yes Lord Raizin?" Aanthroy asked.

"What does.. the book of Nroc say? Chapter twelve... verse 10 please." Raizin said.

Aanthroy looked around and grabbed a book, "The Book of Nroc."

Aanthroy cleared his throat and began reading.

"And he will arrive with a boom.. The world will shake and in the ashes of the land burned twice... salvation will be found." Aanthroy said.

Raizin's eyes widened and he raised his hands towards the sky.

"Praise god.." Raizin said.

Dowtown Nroc

Back at the skyscraper, Collector continued collecting energy but was at his limit.

"Ughhhhhhhh grrrrrr AAHHHHHHHH!" Collector yelled as the energy reached its max.

Altir was on his way to the skyscraper as Collector smiled, blood running down his lip.

"Gauntlets of Odan... SPIRIT ASSULT!" Collector yelled.

PEWWWWWWWWWWW KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The giant beam blasted faster than Altir could react to and crashed into another skyscraper in the distance. Pieces of the skyscraper fell to the ground below.

"Look out for debris!" A soldier yelled.

Soldiers ran and rushed out of the way and those who had life force utilized it to destroy the debris before it crushed them.

Squatters inside the skyscraper were either killed or jumped out of the building to escape the fires.

Collector stared at the destruction with joy and slowly moved the beam to the left, destroying everything in its path. The old, colorless, City of Nroc began to be painted with flames and smoke.

Once Collector had gotten far enough left, he swung the beam to the right in one motion.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

The results were catastrophic.

Entire districts were destroyed, skyscrapers collapsed, and giant plants burned up, catching fire to other plants and spreading like wildfire.

Collector held his hands out wide as he laughed, beaten and bloody with blood running down his lip.

The great fire raged on while Collector looked at the magical gauntlets that had formed around his missing hands.

Collector huffed and puffed as the fire raged, spreading throughout the city as it caught on to different plants or set off flammable materials that caused more explosions, meaning more fire.

"COME ON! DON'T BE SCARED NOW!" Collector yelled.

Raizin's Temple

"Lord Raizin! The intruder is destroying the city! There are fires all over! It's just like... when they attacked us!" Aanthroy yelled.

Raizin put up a hand and Aanthroy was silent.

"Bishop Aanthroy... what does the book of Nroc say about fear?" Raizin asked.

Aanthroy was slightly surprised.

"The book of Nroc... chapter 33, verse 22... "The fool who fears... becomes a thief of his own future..." Aanthroy said.

Raizin nodded his head and smiled.

"Amen." Raizin said, "Calm yourself Aanthroy. You will need to be for your journey. You have been called my God himself for this mission." Raizin said.

"Y-You don't mean.." Aanthroy started.

Raizin nodded.

"Go and find this intruder and bring him to me. You're the only one he can't touch. Upon delivery of this man, unharmed mind you, God has a plan for you." Raizin promised.

Aanthroy was nervous.

"Yes, Lord Raizin... I won't fail!" Aanthroy said.

"You can't." Raizin said, holding up his palms and looking towards the sky.

"You have God on your side my friend." Raizin finished as an usher lizard man let Aanthroy out the front door.

Downtown Nroc

Collector stared at the destruction as sparkles of light went off in the air. Collector smiled.

"Still alive are you?!" Collector yelled.

Altir, severely burned all over, blasted towards Collector with killing intent.

"HA!" Collector yelled as he slapped Altir away. The blow from the giant magical gauntlets was heavy, but Altir became light and shot towards Collector's position in an innumerable amount of light balls.

"That doesn't look good!" Collector yelled as he jumped out of the skyscraper, the skyscraper blew up all over in random spots until it collapsed.

BOOM B-B-B-B-BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Collector used the gauntlets to grab hold of another building as he watched the skyscraper collapse.

"The destructive power of his abilities are insane! If this annoying Heirophant is this strong how strong is this "Lord Raizin?!" Collector yelled.

"It doesn't matter I'll surpass them both, his excellency is depending on me!" Collector yelled as a giant bright light flashed in the sky.

Far outside Nroc's walls Altir floated.

Collector couldn't even see Altir anymore, until a light began to shine far off into the distance. Collector couldn't believe it.

"Wh-What the hell?! How far outside the city did he go?!" Collector yelled.

Suddenly Altir shot a beam of light towards Nroc and merged with the light beam, shooting for Collector at super light speed!

The beam of light only got brighter as Altir got closer until Collector couldn't see.

"AHHHHHH I'M BLIND! I'M-"

CRACK!

Collector was knocked nearly unconscious as Altir's foot landed into his body. Collector coughed up an unhealthy amount of blood on top of the blood he lost from his arms. Altir roared as Collector blasted through the city.

FWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHH! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Collector blasted through the city, crashing through buildings and billboards all the way through until he crashed into one of Nroc's walls at the other end of the city.

Altir flapped in place, tired, until he couldn't move. The gauntlets had grabbed him and wouldn't let go.

Altir couldn't transform into light and escaped no matter how hard he tried. Across the city, Collector, stuck in the wall, used the last of his strength to grip Altir.

Collector could feel Altir in his grasp as the magical gauntlets around his arms slowly faded in and out.

Altir continued to struggle but could not be released due to the strength of the spell.

Collector, with his head down, could feel Altir struggling.

"You've been a thorn in my side... since I got here... Mr. Heirophant... but that ends right now.." Collector said.

Collector held his hands in front of him with his palms facing towards each other, as if grabbing something in mid air and began to squeeze.

Altir felt the pressure from the massive, magical gauntlets and let out a pained scream, blood flying out of his mouth and his bones being broken.

Collector continued squeezing slowly as he smiled wickedly.

"Goodbye..." Collector said, slamming his hands closed.

Altir screamed in pain and in the instant the gauntlets loosened their grip to slam closed on him, Altir opened his eyes and sent an extremely powerful light beam straight for Collector.

It was his last ditch effort to kill this mysterious intruder, even if he used his powers to teleport out of the gauntlets grip, all his bones were broken and his organs were destroyed, he knew he'd die anyway.

The gauntlets slammed together and squished Altir like a sack of meat. Blood and guts flying all over the air.

Collector could see a light getting closer quickly and smirked, thinking he was dead.

FWIP!

Someone teleported in front of Collector and waved two fingers upwards, directing the light beam into the sky with no effort.

Collector's eyes widened as Bishop Aanthroy turned to look at him in the wall.

Bishop Aanthroy wore a standard bishop attire of a long white robe with a dark purple cape and a tall purple bishop hat. Aanthroy was a chameleon lizard man with purple, white, and black scales.

Collector still couldn't believe what he just saw. Bishop Aanthroy turned towards Collector and extended his hand.

"You've been called, son." Aanthroy said.
