Carrie took another deep breath before deciding that it was a long enough shower and started to walk away from the waterfall and make her way to where her clothing was; there was a nice little spot where some sun was shining through that she could relax and let the warm sun dry her off. Hopefully, Hera would make sure that Apollo would be looking the other way as Carrie chuckled at the thought of Hera raising hell against her fellow God for trying to peep.
She went to grab a towel to lay on the earth so she can soak into some sun as she was leaning over, and then in the corner of her eye, she saw a shadow, not her shadow, but a stranger's shadow. She knew the Amazons would have already sprung a war cry if they were intent to test her, and of course, they would be smart not to have themselves found out right away.
She narrowed her eyes, and swiftly grabbed her weapon which is a sword she personally made with the help of one of her Amazon teachers who's proficient in blacksmithing, and turned around in a flash, deflecting a startled, defensive fireball that was almost too close for her comfort, seeing it absorbing back, as her eyes widened, into a hand of the most gorgeous woman she'd have ever seen, otherworldly and exotic for the woman before her wasn't anything like she remembered or knew from either the stories of the gods and Greece's heroes and heroines or the memories of the cartoons and movies she was deemed old enough to watch when she was six.
The woman had fiery red hair, long and flowing, while her skin was much more orangish, not too orange like a carrot but certainly not a normal skin color while her eyes glowed green. Carrie could see some slightly different green color that was her irises, but her sclera was also green. And then there was her outfit; it was a mix of some sort of purple and black leather while leaving most of her arms and her belly exposed.
Carrie narrowed her eyes as she raised her sword defensively, remembering what the woman just did, and spoke sharply, trying Greek first before repeating it in English, "Who are you and how did you get here?!", relieved for those days she practiced dueling in the nude with her teachers as she was taught that there would be a situation where she would be caught off guard without much warning, since it's an island that sometimes the gods or Menalippe couldn't see everything.
She's admittedly a bit bothered by realizing that she was watched by this woman, yet a bit turned on at the fact that the woman had been attracted by her at the same time, somehow not taken aback at the state of Carrie's nudity up close.
"Agsaing wainieoy atwinaoginw waiongaingaony waoing yinue mgmiosn.", the woman said as Carrie sighed and shook her head. Neither Greek nor English, that was for sure. Then again, judging from her looks, she wasn't exactly human; a demigod perhaps or hell, maybe an alien from outer space; she remembered those sorts of things when she was very little.
Carrie bit her lip as she really was wishing she could quickly get dressed, not that she wasn't prepared to keep this fight up naked, it just was awkward to think about, especially with a foe. "Okay then... can't speak the same language... and she's intruding... Better take her in at least so hopefully, Mother can know what to do.".
Carrie held up her sword as she took a deep breath before she rushed forward in an attempt to wound the intruder. If she was injured, she'd be easier to capture. That was Carrie's mindset, protect her home. Of course, the other woman quickly responded with more of those fireballs from her hands. Some sort of pyro powers? Certainly not truly of Earth, that's for sure then; alien or goddess though, remained to be seen but either way, she'd make sure of it as she slashed at the woman and was met with a block from her wrist that made a loud clashing clang.
"Wearing some sort of gauntlets, huh? Clever...", Carrie huffed as she started swinging again, forcing the intruder on the defense.
The intruder responded back with stronger fireballs which Carrie deflected with her sword, and moved into a dance as the intruder blocked the sword, creating clangs and sparks.
It lasted for several minutes as for some reason, the woman's fireballs didn't scorch her yet tingled as some of them landed on her, and she managed to score a few minor cuts on the woman, as it was somehow so quick yet so exhilarating, feeling her blood rush in adrenaline.
And before Carrie knew it, a fireball caught her in her hands, startling her with a shout as she lost grip of the sword, and narrowed her eyes as she went on the defensive, glad once again for learning hand-to hand combat from her teachers, causing the woman intruder to be taken aback by the change of the situation, but soon was able to adapt, though she was different in her style, not having expected it.
The two of them clashed with fists, but Carrie could see that she had the advantage as this woman wasn't exactly the most used to fighting with fists, at least the way Carrie was doing it. A few swings and jabs and then Carrie decided to push it by tripping the woman off of her feet while grabbing her torso and then throwing her to the ground. Carrie then moved to quickly pin the woman as she pressed down and was sitting on her chest and pinning the intruder's arms.
Of course, what happened next would be a total stunning surprise as the woman's face didn't have any sort of anger or aggression on her face, but rather a more pleasant and calm one before she leaned up... and kissed Carrie on the lips. And not a simple peck too as Carrie was suddenly stunned as the woman continued to kiss.
It was somehow feeling right, not uncomfortable as Carrie tried to get over being stunned, yet she was enjoying it at the same time, and a few moments later, perhaps somehow realizing that Carrie needed to breath, the woman pulled back, and smiled, sensing that English was the dominant language in Carrie's heritage, "That was quite the move you made back there...I can't help being...what's the word...ah, yes, impressed, and quite intrigued by you every time you fought...You are quite beautiful and confident...just like at the waterfall.", admiring Carrie, not even a bit uncomfortable or flustered at how Carrie is straddling her and all.
Carrie blinked as she tried to register what had just happened, "I... um...". The woman chuckled as she gently pushed Carrie back a bit, loosening her pin.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you like that. It was necessary to be able to speak language the same. What do you call your language?", the woman asked as Carrie stammered for a moment, "Uh... w-well, that's English we're speaking...".
"Oh!", The woman got excited. "You speak more?!". Carrie blinked, clearing her throat, "Y-yeah, it's just not English, I am fluent in Greek as well. I cannot speak more than that, through some people could, on Earth here, as there's like a thousand languages.".
The woman widened her eyes, "Oh, goodness! It must be an amazing planet to have so many languages like that...Oh, where are my manners? I'm Princess Koriand'r, of the planet Tamaran.".
Carrie widened her eyes, "You're an alien princess! Oh, by Hera! This is incredible!", and the newly declared alien princess giggled, "Oh, please, do not fuss, especially of now.".
"Sorry...Uh...Ko-Koria-Koriander?", Carrie tried to pronounce the name she hadn't heard or spoken before, and the exotic princess smiled, "Please call me Kori. And you?", raising an eyebrow.
Carrie stammered, "I'm P-Princess Carrie, of the island Themyscrica.", and Kori blinked softly before smiling, "Carrie...I really like it...It's a beautiful name for a beautiful woman like you...Suits you...".
Carrie blushed red, smiling before she suddenly remembered something earlier Kori said, and spoke, "Were you truly watching me at the waterfall? Wait, how come I didn't hear you?". She would have definitely heard footsteps and rustling sounds if Kori wasn't stealthy, since Carrie wasn't blind to how Kori wasn't highly trained in hand-to hand combat, meaning that she wasn't trained in stealth training practices.
"Oh, well, sort of the same reason how I got here...", Kori chuckled as she started to float a bit off the ground as Carrie whistled, "Wow... flight... I don't even know what gifts the Gods blessed your people then... obviously Hermes, for sure, must have visited to allow you that power.".
Kori replied, "I haven't heard of any Hermes, but flight is one of my people's abilities...And yes, I was truly watching you. I apologize for it, but you caught my attention while I was looking for civilization, and I must admit that I'm pleased for being equal to you in appearance, as I suppose that in my language, being a Tamaran must mean a human in your language, and that beautiful means the same in either language...I've never quite met someone like you...".
Carrie blushed when she heard that as she cleared her throat, "Yes, well, um, thank you...". She glanced to where her clothes were, "Sorry, um, is it alright for me to quickly get something on? I think we're probably already establishing that you're not here to invade the island my sisters and I call home?".
Kori blinked softly, "I suppose that you better do so, though I was honestly not minding this, but this can wait...My sister would be most annoyed if I was occupied with such a beautiful creature like you, and no, we are not invading your island, more like rather hoping that we'd have sanctuary...".
Carrie blushed even redder as she heard the first part, quickly getting off Kori's chest, and gulped dryly as she felt Kori's eyes on her, and got dressed, along with a shy, quick look at Kori who is dusting off her clothes, clearly averting her eyes to show that she was looking at something else yet Carrie wasn't fooled, almost still a bit flustered that Kori was clear on the fact that she would flirt with her anyway, and more she can only imagine, and she cleared her throat, "You have a sister, and you are looking for sanctuary? Why?".
"My sister has gotten mildly injured in...in the escape when we were in the clutches of people who wanted to experiment on us, treating us as slaves on their ship, having stolen us in the chaos of war on our planet, not caring that we're princesses, for how long I've tried to count, and now, I'm afraid that the injury has gotten infected, and we need sanctuary...to hide from those people, and to save Komand'r, aka Komi, my sister from sickness.", Kori sighed deeply as she suddenly looked lost and terrified and upset, like she's losing the confident and flirting calm personality she was having, like she is revealing her vulnerable self, rubbing her arms, hugging herself, and losing the spark in her eyes.
"Sounds almost familiar...", Carrie muttered to herself, thinking back to Hippolyta and the origins of the Amazons in a way. She was quickly slipping her clothes back on. "Do you know where your planet is? I'm afraid I must inform you that if you're from a world where star travel is common, this place is very primitive in many ways.".
"I don't know exactly where our planet is in terms of this one, considering that Komi and I made our escape rather violently. But this world has almost a bit of a familiar sense to it, probably in regard to your system's sun. Tamaran has quite a similar one and is a source of much of our powers.", Kori explained.
Carrie replied, "I see...", seeing Kori still wrapping her arms around herself, and she walked closer to her, putting her sword in its sheath, and touched Kori's shoulder, seeing her almost flinch yet look at her in surprise as her eyes cleared of some memory, and she was shocked, considering how Kori was not shy of close contact earlier, and she spoke, "Could you lead us back to your sister? I can help, and I can keep up.".
Kori nodded, "O-Okay...", floating upwards to find her bearings, looking over the treetops, and pointed a hand, as she called down, "That way!", and Carrie replied, "And then let's go!", starting to sprint into a full run, keeping an eye on Kori as she led the way, sometimes flying high, sometimes flying beside her to tell her that they're needing to turn left or that they're getting closer.
It was quite about 10 minutes before Carrie saw a small crater, almost like it was made by people, not a ship, and nearby, under some boulder hanging and some trees, she can hear the signs of sickness, like fast, painful coughs and such, seeing an equally beautiful woman that is very much Kori's sister in much appearance with the difference of hair shade which is a brown-ish black color, and her clothes are a bit longer, less skin showing, and that they are of the colors silver and black, and of course, the appearance of a steady-attempted bandage upon a nasty injury on her back that would probably look as minor to Kori, but to Carrie, it looks like awfully bad, as Kori's sister is practically in the instinctive fetus-ball position, curled up.
Kori immediately went to her sister, speaking in their foreign language, "Komi, Komi, it's Kori! I've brought help for you.", and Komi barely opened her eyes, scowling, spitting back in fevered anger and stubbornness, "I told you that I'm fine, Kori! I can take care of myself!", before coughing painfully and groaning.
Carrie went to touch Komi's forehead, "By Hera, she's burning up...That's not good news. Kori, go to that clearing and make one of those fireballs into an explosion, up high in the air. My community sisters will be bound to see it, and one of them is sure to have a horse, as you can't handle carrying me and her at the same time if I help show the way back to the city and the healing halls.", knowing that anything unusual would usher them faster to get here than a usual smoke signal or an arrow-burst of phoenix fire.
"Okay.", Kori nodded as she leaned back to Komi, speaking in Tamarian, "Don't worry, sister, help will come for you, we'll get you healed...". Her sister growled as Kori shushed her. "No, do not argue, alright? Scream at me all you want when we get you healed.".
Komi seemed to huff before nodding slightly, and Kori headed quickly by flight to the clearing, and created one of her fireballs, shooting it up like a ball, up and up high, and then it exploded brightly and loudly for a few minutes.
Carrie had to admire the green color of it as it looked beautiful, and Kori returned to them, "Okay, does that work for you?", and Carrie nodded, "Yes. Now, we gotta make a really good bandage to replace the bad one as bleeding like that isn't good. Did you at least get a bag of essentials during your violent escape?".
Kori bit her lip. "Not really...", she admitted. "It was such a rush of events, we were more focused on escaping, or at least I was... Komi, on the other hand; she...".
"Is there some tension between you two?", Carrie asked. "From her tone there, it sounded like she was pissed off there. I don't even need to speak your language to tell that.".
Kori sighed deeply, glancing at her sister who is in a uneasy sleep of coughs and such, "As you know, I and my sister are princesses, but Komi's the eldest, and she was supposed to be taking the throne as I am the second-born, but something has happened, causing her to lose her power of flight which was a childhood sickness...Our people saw her then as unworthy, and I can't understand why they'd do that, as I deeply love her as family, and sicknesses happen every day as long as they come out alive and okay which I wanted her to be, and she's as much as smart as our parents, and yes, she has become foul and harsh to the world because of the people, but deep down, she's...she just really needs to be loved...Our parents named me heir, and it was another thing that made her angry at me, but I didn't ask for it honestly, but she wouldn't look at me, let alone listen to me about what I want when I tried to get her alone without our servants, our parents, and anyone else watching or in earshot.".
Carrie blinked as she thought Kori's parents were a bit foolish to do that. Was flying that important to their people that to not have it would be seen as nothing more than some invalid that should be ostracized and spat upon?
"So... how exactly did she end up here with you?", Carrie wondered. "You look fine but she... it looks like she's the one that caused the crater.". Kori took another sigh, "I don't know what those who captured us did exactly... but she's here in this position because she was trying to kill me with her newly restored and honestly... much more devastating powers...".
