Chapter 1

When one thinks of an assassin, they imagine some sort of criminal, or contract killer and one may argue that is true. Especially for Dennis.

"It's fucking freezing out here, why did we choose to go to Atlas," said Dennis

"Shut up and do your job"

"Alright relax"

Dennis flicks down his visor and steps out. He walks towards the front of a house.

"Mission control, there is an electric lock." He spoke

"Try a window, he should be asleep" replied the mission controller

"Copy"

Stepping back from the front door, Dennis reaches for his right forearm and pulls a knife similar to a karambit with a wire attached through a hole on the top.

"Does the pulley upgrade work properly" He whispered

"It should work" retorted the controller

"Here we go then" He pulls a lever on the pulley system loosening the wire enough to throw onto the roof of the house and then pulls it back pulling the wire taut. "Wire is ready". He scales the wall of the house to the bedroom window where he inspects his target's sleeping form.

"Mission control do you copy?"

"Copy Delta"

"How should I breach the window?"

"Use your laser delta"

"Copy that MC"

Dennis stabilizes both feet on the wall of the house still hanging and points his left arm at the window while a small device rises from his forearm. "Laser activate". A thin red beam is directed at the window as he moves his arm in a circular motion creating a large enough opening to fit through the window.

"Laser deactivate"

The thin red beam stops, and the device drops back into his forearm. He then gently pushes his foot onto the cut glass shifting it out of position to then grab it. He grabs it in his left hand and gently rappels down to place the large glass circle on the floor below him.

He rappels back up and swings through the hole that was cut earlier. "Breach complete, do you copy MC"

"Copy that Delta"

Dennis pulls out his gun from his holster. A high caliber pistol with a suppressor attached and points it at the sleeping target. "Here comes the paycheck". Suddenly a green force explodes from the man and Dennis is sent flying through the wall. He groans as he gets up

"MC target is awake do you copy"

"Delta how, we had sedatives mixed in his drink"

"I don't know but I'm pissed"

Dennis draws his knife from his forearm and fires three shots at the man. They are deflected by his cane as the man. "Fuck" says Dennis. He dashes forwards with his knife and tries a slash which is then parried. He tries again and tries to fire his gun, but it is smacked out of his hands by the cane. Dennis disengages and jumps back. The man finally speaks.

"You do realize that this is assault and attempted murder"

"That's super unlucky for you" Dennis retorts

Dennis dashes forwards knife at the ready and throws the knife with the wire attached hoping to grab hold of a limb. The knife is parried, and the man grabs the wire yanking it towards him which sends Dennis towards him into a brutal elbow to the chest. He wheezes from the elbow as his aura flares but rolls back from the strike from the glowing cane that surely would have ended him.

"MC who the fuck is this guy"

Silence

"MC do you copy"

"Motherfucker"

Dennis pulls a smoke grenade from his belt and is about to throw it before the man is in his face again and strikes with his cane which is deflected by Dennis as he attempts to counterattack with a knee which lands but doesn't stagger the man due to his aura reinforcing. The man then throws devastating aura charged palm strike to an unaware Dennis shattering his aura and leaving him badly winded on the ground lying face up.

If I didn't have enhancements, I would have died there

The man closes in on Dennis. He speaks again. "You know trying to assassinate the Headmaster of Beacon is a serious crime" He lifts up Dennis's visor. "Oh, my I didn't realize you were so young I apologize". Dennis tries to speak before he is once again hit with the cane and it sends him out for good
