(Start Castle of Lions Penny)
Penny was in her lab with a few cans of energy drinks discarded on the floor. The Castle of Lions was currently on its sleep cycle as Penny typed away on her computer. Ever since the Shadow Broker fiasco Penny had been taking full advantage of Liara's information. Not asking for much but just enough to get work done. Nearby was the prototype she was working on as so far whatever it was, it was big. Mordin was a huge help in this, and Penny appreciated the Salarians input even if he did help create and even improve the Genophage.
But of course, there was other things to note for Penny such as the new discoveries being made. Penny was looking at what looked to be the prototype mechs for the Turian, Asari, and Salarian species. These were mainly schematics and test footage but from what Penny saw these races were making huge progress on their mechs.
The Asari had opted for a two-person command of the mech they were working on. One pilot would handle the actual piloting and fighting and the other would handle the technical aspect of it such as repairs and defenses. From what Penny saw the mech could use its Eezo core to recreate Biotics in a way to assist in battle.
The Turians seemed to have a more transformative mech that can switch between two different combat modes. It was still a work in progress as some of the designs implied a three-piece combination to form the mech. They were opting for a singular pilot for this one which Penny figured was a Turian related reason.
It was again a work in progress, but Penny had some thoughts on it. The final of the three was the Salarian mech and it seemed to focus on what the Salarians were good at, stealth and espionage. This mech was not as far along as the Asari and Turians were, The Salarians were still in the development stage whereas the Turians were in the prototype stage while the Asari were in the testing stage. Liara had passed this information off to the Paladins so in case something happens they have a good idea on what to expect.
Of course, there was one last subject of process that Penny was working on and that was Voltron. Ever since they first joined as Paladins for Voltron Penny had been hard at work trying to understand and decipher the secrets of the Legendary Defender of the Universe. Amongst those secrets was a gem of some kind hidden inside each Lion. At the time Penny found it she thought nothing of it until she gave a second look after Sven had... been killed. She learned that apparently these gems are one fifth of a bigger gem that when the lions form Voltron the gem becomes whole.
Each Lion had a gem and when they combine the gems become one. Penny had gone on to start calling it the Nexus and needless to say Penny was intrigued. She asked Allura about it but surprisingly Allura had no idea what it was or that it was even there. When Penny looked through the Castles Archives for Alfor's work on the Lions there was a whole lot of blank on it. Penny knew there was no way that Alfor was unaware of the Nexus so that only meant he may have intentionally erased it of his own volition.
However, before Penny could work further a new voice caught her off guard. "What are you doing up so late?" Hector was heard as Penny cried out in shock at that and fell off her chair. Looking to the source Penny saw Hector was here in his PJs with a drink in his hand.
"Jesus fucking Christ Hector for a big guy your quiet!" Penny cried out as she was not ready for Hector to pull that on her.
Hector was surprised but none the less let Penny rant. As Penny got back up the girl dusted herself off before getting back to her chair. "So, what are you doing?" Hector asked wondering why Penny was up late again.
"Working on the lions." Penny said before giving Hector room to look. "Particularly this." Penny said showing images of the gems inside each of the Lions. Each gem was colored to the lion it belonged to which made it easy to tell which Gem was which.
"Uh what is that?" Hector asked confused at what he was seeing.
"I'm not sure after two years of looking at it all I can say is that it's some kind of core unite for each of the lions and by extension Voltron." Penny said revealing what she knows. "I call it the Voltron Nexus." Penny said showing what she had learned.
"Did you try getting a scan of it?" Hector asked looking close to the scene.
"Yeah... with Rover." Penny said missing the AI who sacrificed himself for the team. "It nearly caused him to suffer the AI equivalent to a stroke trying to comprehend it." Penny said which was why she didn't share it with EDI worried how it might affect her. "All he was able to figure out is that it works in an ancient yet advanced form of mathematical algorithms." Penny said which got Hector confused for a moment.
"Uh in English." Hector said and thus Penny sighed in frustration to this.
"In other words, if I want to make any headway, I'll have to risk removing it from one of the Lions to get a detailed scan in a controlled setting." Penny revealed before sitting back against her chair. "But I can't do that without prior considerations." Penny said showing that she wanted to try but not with the risks involved with it.
"Does anyone else know about this?" Hector asked and in turn Penny sighed.
"Only Allura knows about it and that's because I told her about it." Penny revealed which surprised Hector that even Allura didn't know about it until Penny brought it up. "And before you ask, it hasn't negatively affected the team so there was no need to bring it up." Penny said which Hector got a good understanding of it.
"Maybe it's best to leave it alone." Hector said as he was worried for Penny's health. "I mean if it doesn't affect us in a bad way maybe it's not meant to be understood." Hector said as it was a basic case of if it's not broken don't fix it.
In response to Hectors concern Penny sighed to this. "Maybe your right." Penny said seeing she may need a break. "I'll finish up and go to bed, I could use the sleep." Penny said as she needed some sleep.
(Scene Break Kalvin and Allura)
In their shared room the couple were seen sleeping as Kalvin had his and Allura's Omni-Tools in snooze mode. They needed their sleep, and the Omni-Tools needed to charge for their next bout of use. However, their sleep would find itself interrupted when Kalvin's Omni-Tool began to go off with a soft ring. As Kalvin rested the ring soon gained a flash that shined in Kalvin's face and with it the ring began to increase in volume. Eventually this began to rouse the couple from their sleep and in turn Kalvin began to rise.
"What happened?" Kalvin asked with concern as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
"I think you forgot to set your Omni-Tool to silent." Allura said as she knew Kalvin kept his tool active in case of emergencies when he's asleep. Kalvin felt it strange for his Omni-Tool to do this, so he grabbed it, put it on, and investigated it.
"It's on my private channel with my dad." Kalvin said suspecting his father was calling him up. The Shepard's had a private channel with each other so they can always stay in contact. The idea was Jane's before she died no doubt to keep Kalvin aware of his father's wellbeing whenever he was deployed. "Kalvin speaking." Kalvin said as he answered the phone. Now Kalvin expected to hear his father's voice on the other end of the call but instead the voice that came in was one Kalvin had not heard from for years.
"Hey there kiddo, how are, you, doing?" Came a woman's voice one Kalvin recalled from his childhood.
"No... impossible... mom?" Kalvin voiced as he found it hard to believe. "Listen whoever you think you are." Kalvin began his rage coming in, but the woman cut him off.
"Look Kiddo I don't have much time to talk, I'm sending you coordinates for you and your father. I'll explain once you guys are here, see you soon." The voice of Jane said before the call ended.
"Wait!" Kalvin called but was too late to stop the woman.
"Kalvin... was that?" Allura asked with concern for Kalvin.
"It sounded like her but... it has to be a trick." Kalvin said and in turn knew he needed to call in someone to look into it.
(Scene Break the Next Morning)
In the Castle of Lions lounge the Paladins, Lotarius, Samara, Ashley, Kasumi, and Zaeed were contacting the Normandy as Kalvin had replayed the message for his father and EDI. "So, we're all here because baby boy here got spooked by some crank caller." Zaeed said shooting a small insult towards Kalvin.
"The issue is that the call came through an exclusive line that very few people know about. Those people being me, my dad, and my mother." Kalvin said revealing that by all intents and purposes no one should have access to it unless freely given.
"Maybe someone stole her Omni-Tool." Kasumi offered as she found it odd to say the least.
"Couldn't have, I've kept the Omni-Tool close... it went down with the original Normandy." John revealed meaning that it could not have been stolen.
"Look, let's all calm down. Once EDI has finished her scan of the vocal recognition we'll know for sure if this is a prank of some sort." Miranda said as she was also on the call.
"Better ask EDI who the caller was." Jack said as she was cracking her knuckles. "Using a kid's dead mom that's just low even for me." Jack said as she had limits and hurting kids was one of those limits. Another limit was using someone's dead parents against them like this.
"Commander Shepard." EDI began as she got the groups attention.
"EDI what's the word?" Jacob asked as he hoped this was a prank.
"I've run the vocal recognition program a total of 20 times and each time the results were the same... it was a perfect match." EDI revealed much to the shock of the two teams.
"Wow back up are you saying that the Shepard's are being called out by a ghost?" Garrus asked as he found this hard to believe.
"For all intents and purposes, it should be impossible." Mordin said as he was also on the communication line with the team. He was a Salarian of science and did not believe in ghosts.
John meanwhile was in shock that his wife may very much be alive like he was. "Commander." Miranda began but then Jack cut her off.
"Oh, what now cheerleader you're going to tell him to drop it and move on?" Jack began but Miranda cut her off.
"No, I was going to say this warrants investigation, other than Lazarus and Wades cell no other Cerberus cells was working on reviving the dead." Miranda began making her point clear. "Even then considering the time between her death and now there was no way for Cerberus to revive former Mrs. Shepard." Miranda said noting how this needed to be investigated.
"It's your call, Commander." Jacob said but then both father and son looked to each other. With a nod from both Shepard's, they knew what came next.
"Allura get those coordinates to the Teleduv we're going to take a Wormhole there." Kalvin said which John nodded to this.
"EDI let Joker know what's going on." John said and in turn it was time to roll out. Whoever sent this message and perfectly imitated Jane's voice neither father nor son would allow this to go unpunished. With their goal in mind the team began their journey to the coordinates sent to them by, 'the ghost,' of Jane Shepard Nee Kogane.
(Scene Break an Unknown Nebula)
After using the wormhole to travel to the coordinates the Castle of Lions and the Normandy SR-2 emerged from the wormhole to find themselves outside of an asteroid belt. It was a thick field and so far, there was hardly much of anything familiar to either ship crews. As the ships flew close, they made a scan of the area to see if there was anything to be found here.
(On the Normandy Command Deck)
"Anything Joker?" John asked as he looked to Joker.
"Well, we're definitely not on the Relay Network, Commander." Joker revealed to John after he and EDI did the scans of the space.
"However, I do detect an inactive Mass Relay within the area." EDI said as she revealed what she knew. "I marked it so the Council may be made aware of it." EDI added which meant they can check it out later.
"Alright then, good job Joker." John said to the Normandy's pilot. "EDI, I want the Ground Team ready for deployment have them meet me at the Kodiak Hanger." John said giving his next order.
"Of course, Commander." EDI said and began to call in the ground team for this.
(Meanwhile the Castle of Lions)
Kalvin, Sven, and Ashley were making their way to the Black Lion for deployment all of them in full gear. "So, the plan is simple, we enter on the Black Lion and scout the area for any hostiles." Kalvin said as he lead the way. "At the same time, we clear a path for the Kodiak to land." Kalvin added giving the team a game plan. "In case something happens the other Paladins are prepared to deploy." Kalvin said finishing the details of the plan.
"So, any idea who Skipper is sending in?" Ashley asked as she went with Sven and Kalvin.
"I zink Commander Shepard vill go in vith Tali for tech support." Sven said as he wasn't sure who the other going in would be. "If Mrs. Shepard is there zen I zink Mordin vill come along az vell." Sven said showing he had a sneaking suspicion as to who was going on. "Are you nervous, Ms. Ashley?" Sven asked with concern for Ashley.
"Nope not at all, I mean on one hand I might be meeting the mother of Kalvin and the Commanders thought dead wife. The same wife whose husband I may have relations with and might think me stealing her life and will show me how she got her namesake and butcher me." Ashley said as her tone showed that in a way, she was nervous of the slim chance of meeting the infamous Jane Shepard. "On the other hand, I get to shoot the guy who messed with my kid like this." Ashley said a bit quietly but when she saw Sven smiling at her she realized what she did. "You heard that last part, didn't you?" Ashley asked and thus Sven smiled.
"Yes." Sven responded causing Ashley to face palm a bit as they made their way over to the Black Lion.
Meanwhile Allura watched it all go down as she wanted to take part in this mission. However, Kalvin was right better to send one Lion and ground team rather than full frontal. Still, she hoped that Kalvin would make it back in one piece... for all of their sakes.
(Later out in open space)
The Black Lion deployed from its den and flew towards the Asteroid belt. From the Normandy the Kodiak was seen flying out as well as both Lion and drop ship flew towards their target. The Black Lion lead the way making sure nothing would cause harm to the Kodiak from all the space rocks moving about.
(Meanwhile over on the Kodiak)
John was waiting to land as he was in his N7 gear for this mission as always. Nearby Tali was seen as she looked to John with concern for his wellbeing with Mordin not too far away. The rest of the team was on standby in case they needed an assist so having this group head in first was to make sure there was no surprises, and they were ready for a medical emergency if one shows up.
"Shepard are you ok?" Tali asked as she noted the look John had on his face.
"Yeah, Tali I'm just worried." John said not sure if this was a Cerberus trick or if this was from Haggar.
"Logical, Jane Shepard Nee Kogan for all legal reason should be deceased hearing her exact voice on a private channel only the Commander and his son should know of cause for concerns." Mordin said as the Salarian was seeing the logic behind John's worries.
"12 years, she's been gone for 12 years. Kalvin was five when she passed away." John said as he recalled how it all happened. He was upset and confused, and no one could blame him for this. After all, Kalvin, and John both saw the Shepard Matriarch buried the day of her funeral. Kalvin saw how his mother wasted away from her sickness. Even Mordin had seen the Batarians celebrating when news came on that Jane had passed away even taunting her son who had just lost his mother.
"Commander, we don't even know if it is her or now." Tali said comforting John who took a moment to calm down.
"I know but it's all confusing." John said admitting that a part of him still missed his wife and he knew Kalvin still missed his mother.
"Uh guys you may want to look at this." Kalvin's voice was heard all of a sudden.
(Over on the Black Lion)
"I don't think we're alone here." Kalvin said as on his scope he saw what seemed to be robotic drones mining the asteroids for resources.
"Someone certainly lives here." Ashley noted as even Sven knew this place should be empty.
(On the Castle of Lions)
Meanwhile in the Castle of Lions command deck Allura also saw the drones from the Black Lions feed and needless to say she was shocked at what she saw. "This is Galra technology!" Allura announced much to the shock of those here.
"Wait back up, Galra tech? But shouldn't Lotor have all the Galra tech left in the universe?" Leon asked as this was getting all the more confusing.
"Are those drones hostile?" Penny asked to the groups.
"That's the strange part their not." Kalvin revealed much to the crew's surprise.
"Kalvin be careful whatever is going on here is outside the norm." Allura said which her warning came in clear.
"Understood." Kalvin responded and thus it was clear that there was more at work.
(Back with the Black Lion)
The Black Lion kept leading the Kodiak through the asteroid belt tracking the message to its source. "Ziz iz very concerning." Sven said as he found all of this to be beyond the norm.
"Whatever is going on, it's not our normal stuff." Kalvin said and in turn something popped up on his sensors. "Hey people heads up we got a structure up ahead." Kalvin said and thus they all bore witness to it. they arrived at an area in the belt that had a lot more open space than normal. The reason for this was that there was a literal base built into an asteroid and by the looks of things the drones were working on it even now.
As they moved closer the drones did nothing to stop them and even moved out of the way so the lion can make the journey. The Kodiak followed the lion as they tried to find a place to land on the facility. "Hey, looks like we can land there." Ashley said noting what looked to be a landing pad nearby.
"Moving in." Kalvin said and thus guided his Lion to the landing pad.
(Later on, the Landing Pad)
The Black Lion and Kodiak came in for a landing and once they arrived began to disembark from their vehicles. The two ground teams had their armors rebreathers active so they can breathe, in air normally. The Asteroid was set up near a sun and by the looks of it the facility was using the sun as an energy source to power the entire place. Both teams had their guns out in case of trouble as they filed out of their transports and began to make their way towards the front door.
"So, what do we do now?" Ashley asked as they stood before the huge door as Tali said, "I can try to hack to doors open, but it might take time to do so, as we're dealing with tech that over 50,000 years-
Before she could finish Kalvin put his hand on a hand scanner of sort which give off a glow that made an accepted beep sound as the doors open up with Tali finish saying, "Old?"
"Interesting. How did you know that would work?" Mordin Questioned Kalvin, as the head of Voltron turned towards the Salarian scientist and said, "When I was looking for evidence against Lotor at his Original base, I accidently open up a few doors when I was near these scanners, and figured out they read Galra DNA, not fingerprints or any sort of identity code, so I figure my DNA would be the key to this place sort of speak."
"Interesting, a D.N.A scanner made by Galra. Unheard of but also cleaver. Galra only trusted their own species and yet also could be use against themselves," Mordin said and made a mental note of the scanner itself in case some other person that may come across any more Galra structures with the same scanners as the team soon walked in, gun at the ready just in case something happens.
Inside was dark, with little light showing the way through the Galra base as even with flashlight it was still too dark to see around as Ashley soon asked, "Is there some sort of light switch, or do Galra see in the dark?"
"The Galra are very adapted to dark environment, but they do not rely on it all the time," Allura said on the coms as she and everyone else in the castle of lion was seeing what they were seeing which wasn't much as Allura went on saying, "There must be a control console somewhere that may control the lights."
They group keep on walking with Kalvin holding both his Bayard and knife closely as he didn't want to be surprised by anything as he saw drones moving around that seem to be cleaning the place up a bit while also scanning any surface and wonder why they are doing that… and then suddenly he saw something nearby as the group walked by it as Kalvin went over to a wall and saw a familiar symbol on it, that he knew what it was as he seen it before, as then he raise his knife and saw that it had the same symbol on it with his eyes widen and said, "This place… it's not a Galra base, It's a blade of Marmora site."
"What?" John said as he heard what Kalvin said, as then a drone came flying by and soon scan the knife that Kalvin had in his hand which trigger something as it beep as well causing all the other Drones to act up as well and suddenly vanish, leaving all at once as Sven said, "Vhat that good vor no?"
Suddenly the lights started to turn on, reviling everything as the group ready themselves for anything but there was no alarm, no enemies in site, but to their surprise to see the containers that were around them were not just containers… but pods, life pods in cryogenic suspension mode, similar to the one that was seen in the castle of lions that Allura and Coran were in, as John came up to one and wipe the frost off the glass and saw inside, a living breathing Galra, seeing their purple skin and their strange animal like features to a canine or similar creatures, and he remember the recording that Allura showed the Councilors that shows the Galra and to say he is surprise to see one.
"They're Galra," Tali said as Mordin said, "Living Galra, very exciting yet very terrifying. We should be careful not to open these chambers."
"This doesn't make sense, we were called here by someone who sounded like mom, but there no one awake or alive here," Kalvin said as everyone started to get worried about this as if the person who sent the message isn't here, then who called them, but before someone could say anything, a figure wearing similar N7 outfit like Shepard would sometimes where, as they keep to the shadows before they suddenly came forth and sprinted forward as Ashley saw them and said, "Enemy contact!"
The group were quick to act as the figure threw down a flash bang which Kalvin noted. "Flash Bang!" Kalvin called out and thus everyone ducked and cover, but some were not so lucky. Sven moved but the attacker was fast but now they saw her and to their shock they saw the N7 armor she had one.
"An N7?" Ashley asked shocked by the woman's sudden appearance. The woman clenched her left hand before she sent a biotic push with her right. The Dark Matter launched Sven back but thankfully his prosthetic arm was used to stop his flight but tore through the steel. Tali was next as the woman went for her and then jumped over her before pulling out a combat knife and held it against Tail's environmental suit and with her other hand aimed it at Mordin. Mordin was surprised by this as the attacker ensured that if he tried to fire Tali would suffer a suit tear. Mordin in turn raised his hands but then Kalvin moved into attack. The woman saw this and pushed Tali aside before meeting Kalvin's charge head on. Kalvin had his Marmora weapon in its awakened form and the woman saw this. She dodged the attacks with ease before pinning Kalvin's arm so he could not use his Bayard. Kalvin switched his sword back to its dagger form and attempted to stab the woman only for her to grab Kalvin's arm and twist forcing him to drop the dagger and took it from him.
John then fired his side arm at the woman charging in only for the woman to pull a move he had only seen two people pull off. She threw the dagger at John where it spun forcing him to dodged the attack. The woman then swooped down and knocked John off his feet before attempting a drop kick on him. John rolled out of the way and got back up as the woman then pulled her own side arm on him. Both N7's fired at each other before the woman rolled and took back the dagger and then to their shock it began to glow.
From there John and the woman were face to helmet as he found the dagger in its sword form held against his neck. At the same time John had his gun pointed at the woman so it would ensure a mutual takedown. John paused as he saw the weapon and then the mysterious woman as neither made a move on the other. Ashley, Sven, Mordin, and Tali were all back on their feet as was Kalvin, but the woman then found a gun pointed at her curtesy of Kalvin.
But John's next words caught everyone by surprised when he spoke to them. "Jane?" John asked and thus the woman began to chuckle under the helmet.
"It's been a while, Johnny." The woman said as she eased off and walked away a bit. "Haven't lost your touch." She said and thus began to remove her helmet revealing a human underneath one with red hair and who Kalvin inherited his eyes from. "Glad to see your still kicking John." The woman said revealing herself as Jane Shepard Nee Kogane.
"No way." Ashley said as she was shocked to see a Ghost before her eyes.
"This defies all logic." Mordin said as reports had confirmed Jane had perished from sickness. Hell, Kalvin and John both saw that her body was properly buried and was treated with the upmost of respect.
"Mom..." Kalvin almost whispered shocked to see his mother standing there.
"Jane how is this possible you died." John said trying to wrap his mind over the fact that his wife was alive and well. He had seen how her body wasted away how she eventually passed away because of her sickness.
"Look John as much as I would love to play catch up, we don't have time to explain the how and why which is already complicated as is." Jane said choosing to avoid the subject for the time being. "Right now, we need to get this ship moving and get the Galra to the Citadel." Jane said her tone suggesting a certain urgency in her voice.
"The Citadel are you nuts?!" Ashley asked as she saw how this could go bad for them.
"I concur if what I am to understand about the Galra is correct this may lead to a new Krogan Rebellion." Mordin said as he looked at Jane like she had grew a second head.
"Galra aren't as violent as you think." Jane said but then rolled her eyes. "Look I don't have the time to argue I need Kalvin's help for this." Jane said as she looked to Kalvin.
"My help?!" Kalvin asked as he was left confused by this.
"This ship was designed to only respond a Blade of Marmora member like my mother your grandmother, Krolia." Jane began to explain the situation to Kalvin. "She was originally supposed to find the ship but unfortunately time was against her." Jane said showing that Krolia died before she could complete the mission.
"So that's why you called us here to finish what she started." John said but Jane smirked over at her husband.
"Among other things." Jane said before her eyes landed on Ashley and then to John and Kalvin. "Huh so you're the homewrecker and child thief." Jane said pointing at Ashley who then went wide eyed to this.
"We all thought you were dead and." Ashley defended but Jane laughed at this.
"Yeap easy to fluster I still go it." Jane said as she walked off leaving Ashley glaring at Jane for that one.
"So, we need a Genetic Galra and said Galra needs to be this Blade of Marmora to activate this ship." Tali said realizing that this ship was an ark.
"But why not you?" Kalvin asked as he knew his mother was half Galra and he was only a quarter Galra.
"It's complicated." Jane said repeating the same thing she said before. "Follow me and I can explain more." Jane said and thus she began to lead the group through the ship to hopefully get an explanation as to what was going on.
As they made their way passed the pods Jane began to make the explanation. "To be a Blade you have to undergo something called the Trials of Marmora but for that to happen you need a Blade just like the one Kalvin inherited from me." Jane said as Kalvin recalled the day, he got the blade in question.
"Zi Trials of Marmora?" Sven asked as this was the first, he heard of it.
"Explanations please." Mordin said wanting to know more as did they all.
"The Trials of Marmora leads to one of two things Knowledge or Death it's like a Galra's rite of passage but more intense." Jane said but had more to say. "The Galra Rite of passage varies between individual Galra and depending on how they perform they are placed into the caste where their results will best serve the Galra Empire." Jane said getting on the discussion. "For some it's a trial of wills others a trial of strength." Jane said before they arrived at a set of doors. "It also serves as a way for a young Galra to control the rage state they enter." Jane said recalling the first day she entered that state... yeah, her grade school class had never recovered.
"If we want to get this ship operational, we need a Blade and the only way to do that is for a Galra to take the trials." Jane said as John was now worried as Jane opened a door with Kalvin close to her.
"And how are we supposed to do that, wake up a Galra?" John asked as then Jane smirked a bit.
"Nope we got the inductee right here." Jane said and in turn she pushed Kalvin through the door causing him to yelp in shock before it closed shut. "And for him it's going to be both the right of passage and the trials." Jane said with a smirk on her face.
"Kal!" Ashley cried out but the door was already closed.
"See you on the other side!" Jane called out and in turn she vanished behind another door which closed before anyone could stop her.
"This is not good." Tali said as she realized what Jane had done.
"What is Jane thinking?!" John demanded as he tried to force open the door. If what Jane is saying is true, then Kalvin was in a huge amount of danger.
"Commander Shepard." EDI was heard as John heard her.
"What is it EDI?" John asked as he tried to get the door to open.
"I performed a scan on Ms. Kogane and there is something I discovered that I think you need to hear." John said and thus John had a bad feeling about this.
(Meanwhile over with Kalvin's trial)
Kalvin was struggling to get the door open after it locked him in a large chamber of some kind. But when he saw it would not open Kalvin tried other means. "EDI." Kalvin began but only got static. "Castle of Lions." Kalvin tried but again static.
Just then Kalvin heard movement and turning around he saw a figured in a hood and armor rising up on a platform from the floor. Kalvin saw him and felt his senses telling him this was not a friendly. "Surrender the blade." The figure said drawing his own sword and taking a combat stance. "You are not pure it does not belong to you." The figure said ready to fight.
Kalvin activated his sword and held it at the ready glaring at the foe. "You want it, come take it." Kalvin said as he glared at the foe refusing to give up his mother's dagger. Kalvin then went on the attack with a roar of challenge and began to fight him, but this guy was good. They clashed weapons sparks flying between the two foes.
Kalvin was then knocked back and this was a guy who had used N7 training to fight. Kalvin didn't expect to be thrown on his ass but before he could contemplate it, he had to block the oncoming attacks as his foe charged in to attack Kalvin. Kalvin blocked and deflected the blows trying to open room for a counterattack. But then Kalvin got hit in the shoulder between his armor causing him to cry out in pain and shock. The pain was from the slice, but the shock came at the fact the blade bypassed his kinetic shields.
(Back with the Normandy Team)
John, Mordin, Tali, Sven, and Ashley found a room that looked to be a security room and it was active. The group was shocked to find Kalvin was in the middle of a fight on one screen and John saw his son get hurt and cry out. "Kal!" John called as he already found out the room jammed any communications.
"Impressive the blade seems capable of bypassing Kinetic shields further study may be intuitive once we rescue the boy." Mordin said knowing to keep priorities in order.
"Look." Ashley said and thus they looked and saw another screen that showed Jane alone in a room and by the looks of it she was waiting. It didn't take long to figure out for whom she was waiting.
(Meanwhile back over with Kalvin)
Kalvin was fighting for his life as he tried to fight off his foe, but this guy was good. Kalvin growled trying to keep the rage in check, but this guy was not making thing easy for him. Soon Kalvin found his arm put into a lock as he cried out in pain feeling the strain his arm was going through.
"Surrender the blade and the pain will stop." The Figure said as Kalvin growled to this with his eyes beginning to dilate into slits.
"I'll show you pain!" Kalvin roared and maneuvered his body to bring the guy down before he sliced through his neck taking him down. Or so it would seem because instead of blood Kalvin found sparks and circuits. "What?" Kalvin asked shocked at what he saw.
"You reject your blood." The drone said as he looked to Kalvin and stepped aside. "You cannot go through that door." He said stepping aside towards the door on the other side of the room. Kalvin growled and rolled his eyes before he charged towards the door.
However, all Kalvin found was himself in the exact same room after a flash of light. "What the?" Kalvin asked but then saw that the room was different for this time two of the drones began to rise on platforms. "Oh, come on." Kalvin said as he realized where this was going.
Kalvin quickly found himself getting his ass handed to him by his foes who proceeded to beat the shit out of him. It was painful but Kalvin kept going knowing that these two were drones. However, Kalvin was on the ground and found two blades pointed at him instead. "Surrender the Blade and the pain will cease." The one to Kalvin's right said with his weapon pointed down at Kalvin.
Kalvin snarled and attacked only for his foes to dodge. "You reject your blood; you cannot pass through that door." The second one said as they stayed out of Kalvin's way. Kalvin glared but then went for the door again. A cycle began as every time Kalvin found himself in that room the number of foes increased by one. He gets his ass kicked lashes out and then passes through the door only to repeat the cycle.
It went on over and over and over again. It was becoming clear that something had to give because Kalvin can't keep doing this over and over again. He was either going to die or drop from exhaustion either way the most bullheaded of figures cannot go on forever.
(Meanwhile the Castle of Lions)
The crew stood around in the main command deck as Allura was by the Teleduv nodes. "How long has it been?" Allura asked as she seemed impatient.
"Approximately an hour." Shiala said from her station as Allura was on edge. Samara noticed this and approached the Altean with concern.
"I sense that you are unnerved Princess." Samara said feeling that Allura was on edge and for good reason.
"That is a Glara ship a GALRA ship." Allura said making her concerns known. "They had not been seen since the last Cycle 50,000 Decaphoebs ago." Allura said as old traumas of her past came to light. "The Galra destroyed my home." Allura said as she and Coran were the last survivors of the old Altea.
"A pain that had yet to fully heal a child survivor of a genocide." Samara said seeing what thoughts that were troubling Allura. Allura survived the genocide and found her people but Samara for a moment saw... another in Allura's place. Focusing her thoughts Samara went to try and ease the Princess concerns. "I too see your concerns, scars of the past of allies turned enemies reach you even now." Samara said to the Princess.
"Yes..." Allura said seeing no way around it.
"Speaking of the Galra you never really talked about them." Penny said now curious about them.
"What were they like?" Hector asked as even Sven and Leon perked up.
Allura seeing all eyes were on her sighed before she got down to it. "Before Voltron... before Zarkon's fall the Galra were our equivalent to the Turians." Allura said finally speaking her past with the Galra. "We didn't have a council or a Citadel like the one today but between our face races we secured peace and freedom in the known Galaxy." Allura said recalling those days.
"The Galra had the strength comparable to the modern day Krogan but the discipline of the Turians." Allura said which got Leon to chuckle.
"Now that's a scary thought." Leon said as no one wanted to see the sort of damage a Korgan could do if it had all the military discipline the Turians were known for.
"Many in the known Galaxy would share your thoughts." Samara said suspecting that not only would the Krogan rebellions be more disastrous, but the Krogan could actually win them.
"For a time... I thought them to be powerful allies Zarkon was like family as well." Allura said recalling the original Paladin of the Black Lion. "But..." Allura trailed off and thus stopped her story.
"I understand betrayal is not one so easily recovered from more so with the outcome of Zarkon's betrayal." Samara said ending the topic for Allura's sake. With this done the group focused back onto the mission as they waited to see what came next.
(On the Normandy with Miranda)
Miranda was going over the files for the day-to-day tasks of the Normandy. Miranda chuckled as she had gone through Shepard's mail and found the one her sister had sent to the Commander. The small Postscript to her showed how smart her sister already was. The girl was living her best life and Miranda was happy for her even after the drama she endured.
Miranda then had a bitter smile on her face recalling her own... imperfection. Yes, Samara was made to be perfect, but it seems nature decided to screw her father through Miranda. Or perhaps her father did it intentionally to have more control over Miranda. Looking at her stomach for a moment Miranda had often considered a child of her own to break the cycle and what not. But it seems that would not come to be. These things happen and unfortunately it cannot be solved so easily.
Just then an alert came in which got Miranda's attention. "Wade." Miranda said seeing that the disgraces Alliance officer was at it again. "What are you doing now?" Miranda asked glaring as she began looking through the report to see what Wade was up to.
(Meanwhile back with Kalvin's trial)
Kalvin was in pain as he was now fighting a battle on two fronts. One against these mechanical foes and one against the beast inside him trying to keep it locked up. Kalvin was on the verge of going full rage state while trying to keep in control. Kalvin was outnumbered and knew he needed an out when an idea occurred to him. He saw the platform was lowering back down and with it the door was closing. It was a long shot, but Kalvin suspected he could use this to his advantage. Acting fast Kalvin charged in and threw his dagger through his foes towards the platforms that brought said foes here.
The Dagger managed to lodge into the hatch jamming it to stay open for him. Kalvin kept going and proceeded to fight his way to his destination. He even tackled one but said opponent through Kalvin aside towards the jammed hatch. Once in Kalvin slid down, grabbed his dagger, and vanished into it saluting his foes before he was gone.
(Later in the next room)
The door opened and from it Kalvin stumbled out a bit and found himself in a new chamber. But while it looked similar to the ones that he went through before Kalvin noted that there was no hatches or lifts for new foes. "Well, I guess I wasn't supposed to go through that door." Kalvin mused but then his eyes laid on a familiar figure.
"Took you long enough, kiddo." Jane said as she stood in front of Kalvin showing she had been waiting for him.
"Mom what the hell was that?!" Kalvin demanded pointed to the closed door. "Why did you make me go through that?!" Kalvin demanded angry at the woman before him.
"I have a reason for that Kal." Jane said as she walked to the side holding her helmet. "There are a lot of lives counting on what we're doing what you just went through." Jane said before looking at her helmet. "And what you just went through isn't over yet." Jane said before putting her helmet on and then looking towards her son.
"What?" Kalvin asked shocked at what he was seeing.
"To get to the point, if you want to pass those trials... you have to go through me sport." Jane said showing what this was, she was about to fight her own son.
"Mom wait this is nuts!" Kalvin yelled but Jane chuckled almost bitterly.
"Your right... but the moment you get passed me it will all make sense." Jane said and thus Kalvin knew what came next. "Now show your mother how much you've grown... Kalvin." Jane said and soon she vanished from site, infiltration tech, cloaking.
"Shit." Kalvin cursed realizing what this was. Soon enough Kalvin heard gunfire and saw his mother had reappeared with her side arm firing at Kalvin. Kalvin moved out of the way before he was hit by a Biotic crash that sent him flying back. Jane looked at her son and just as Kalvin was about to draw his dagger, he saw it was gone. Looking over Jane pulled out the dagger and awoken it into its sword form, the Butcher of Torfan was whole once more.
(Back with the Normandy Team)
"What the hell is she doing!?" Ashley demanded glaring at Jane for attacking her own child on the screen.
"All of zis for a test?!" Sven asked shocked and even angry at the woman Kalvin had idolized as did Ashley.
"Tali!?" John called hoping she got an answer.
"Commander I can't open the door, but I did find a way for us to go to where they are." Tali said and thus gave the group a map.
"Good, let's go!" John called out and in turn they got moving to try and reach Kalvin before Jane actually killed him.
(Back over to Kalvin's trial)
Kalvin was in the thick of it his mother had clearly not lost her touch. She was fighting Kalvin with a brutality that very few had seen and even fewer had survived receiving. Kalvin had his Bayard out trying to keep his mother at bay as she went at him like a woman possessed. "I haven't had this much fun since I fought in Torfan!" Jane boasted as she was fast using all her military training and biotic ability mixed with swordplay an outdated method of combat for the galaxy.
"Why are you doing this?" Kalvin said as he block her strike before she throw up his Bayard arm before grabbing and throwing him across the ground before she came at him with the blade held high about to cut Kalvin in half, but then he rolled away just in time as the Blade just struck the ground before Jane turn to face her son and said, "As I told you before, you will have to get pass me for this to understand for you. IF you can't beat me Kal, then everything you have done would be wasted!"
She came at him faster and stronger as she swing the blade at him as he blocks the best he could even resorting to use his paladin shield but it seem Jane was having none of that as she got in close to grab the shield with her own hand pulling Kalvin forward before he cry out in pain as Jane stab the sword into his left arm destroying the shield function in his arm and wounded him as well before throwing him across the room again ending up in the middle of it.
"Come on Kalvin, get up and fight. Get up and fight me!" Jane said angerly, as Kalvin was slowly getting up holding his wounded arm a bit as drip of blood came out as Jane soon went on saying, "Are you really my son, is this the best you can do?"
"s-stop it," Kalvin said with a hurt tone while gritting his teeth through the pain as it seem he was trying to hold back something, as Jane slowly walking up to him as she said to him, "You can't stop me Kalvin, even if you try you can't, as at this rate you won't even stop the Collector from taking every living human in the galaxy."
She came at him again swinging her sword at him as he held up his Bayard sword to stop her attack, but she didn't let off, she keep slashing at him making him back up more and more as she started talking during this, while saying, "Your too weak to stop anyone. How can you defend anyone if you can't fight? How can you even fight against anyone if you just keep on defending like a coward!?
"I-I'm not..." Kalvin started to say as his tone sounding a bit angry, but before he could finish Jane knocks his Bayard sword out his hand before grab his arms and knee him in the gut as he gasp in pain to his before removing his helmet and hit him across his face with it before throwing it away and started the beat the crap out of him before kicking him on his back hard as he gasp out, as she said to him, "You can't win Kalvin, just stay down."
Kalvin didn't listen to her as he roll to his side and put his arm on the ground slowly pushing himself up before Jane came up to him and said while kicking him "I said stay down!"
Kalvin gasp in pain again with his head hitting the ground as he breath in before coughing up a bit with some blood coming out from his mouth as Jane said to him, "Do you see Kalvin, you can't win. No matter how hard to try you just can't, as If you couldn't defeat me, you and your team will not stand against the reapers when they come again and when they do you will be just helpless and weak, as you just lying there, they will take everything from you. Your home, your world, friends, family, everyone you love will die."
Kalvin grip his fist as he soon started again as he started to push himself up from the ground as jane saw this as she soon said about to kick him again, "And there nothing you can-
Before she could finish, Kalvin trying to get up, instead when Jane lift her leg up to kick him again, Kalvin swing is entire body and kick her other leg out hard from under making her fall down then came at her like a wild creature as he got on top of her swinging his fist at her, even with his bleeding arm as it seem his anger overwritten his pain as his eyes was slowly turning yellow.
Jane grab him and throw him off of herself before getting back to her feet as Kalvin went across the room, but this time landed near his Bayard sword as he grabs it and came at Jane swing his sword at her, now she was defending herself he started to say, "Shut up. Shut up! SHUT UP!"
Kalvin was slowly overpowering her as he was now pushing her back as he keep on going and saying, "I'm not weak! I won't let anyone be taken from me again! Not you, not the collectors, and certainly not the reapers!"
Jane got him into a deadlock as she look him in the eyes seeing his Galra blood peeking through now, but he wasn't using his Galra rage, but have an idea how to get him there as she said, "Then prove it to me, show me what you got, give it all to me!"
After that Kalvin and Jane was soon fighting each other on more equal footing now, as the more she pushes, the more Kalvin pushes himself to fight.
(Meanwhile with the ground team)
The group ran as fast as they can to reach Kalvin, but it seem Jane had plan ahead for them as more blade of Marmora Drone show up and started attacking the group as they fire upon them, but it seem they were fast and agile to avoid the gun fire, no doubt using the preprogram training within the do so.
When one drone to the group and fighting in close quarter combat, with John came up to it fast while activated his omni tool weapon to block the drone's sword before taking a handgun and shot point blank range, taking it down as he calls out, "Tali how much further?"
"Just down this way and a through a few rooms," Tali said as she look over the map she downloaded as she keep an eye on Kalvin position which he hasn't left the last chamber yet and yet he was moving all around it which is strange to say.
(Meanwhile back over with Kalvin)
Kalvin was coming at Jane as he rushes at her, growling like an animal as their weapons clash against one another Jane was had push Kalvin to his peak as his eyes was now full-on topaz yellow and his pupils violet as she said, "Now you're getting it, but it's not perfect."
Jane avoided another barrage of attacks as she knew her son was getting into the fight. "If you want to use that Galra Rage of your, you need to focus. Coming at me with anger doesn't work, it's just drive you faster into becoming an animal. You need to focus on a center, focus on someone that care for you."
All Jane got was a snarl as Kalvin charged in to attack the woman once more. Jane moved out of the way realizing Kalvin was stuck in his beast state. It was hard for her when she first awakened it but back then she was in grade school. Yeah, that was not a fun time for Jane. Still Kalvin was struggling since his Galra blood was more diluted than hers there was no doubt he would struggle more than she did.
Kalvin roared and went on the attack moving full on to take down the threat to his person. Jane dodged it facing her fair share of Krogan and knowing her own skill like the back of her hand. Kalvin was blinded by his rage as he tried to take down his mother not recognizing her for who she was. But the more Kalvin raged the harder it will be to pull him out. Snarling Kalvin went on the assault as the beast in control had every intention to take out Jane.
Jane cursed as she saw how this might end and growled when she nearly got attacked. Jane knew her son was having trouble, but she thought her being here would help. Maybe she had been gone for so long that their old bond was not what it used to be. Jane knew she had limited time and if she did not do something soon then she would surely fail.
Before Jane could do anything, else gunfire went off and she had to dodge fast. Looking towards the source Jane saw the others had arrived causing her to move. "No stay back!" Jane warned but was ignored by them.
"Take her down!" Ashley yelled glaring at Jane ignoring her warning. Kalvin snarled and went for the attack forcing Jane to void a Bayard slice. Alas she cried out in pain as the attack landed causing her to hold her side.
"He's gone berserk again!" Tali cried out as she saw the look in Kalvin's eyes. Snarling Kalvin charged in and went after the group this time forcing them to back off fast. When that happened John saw his sone was in the deep end.
"Kalvin control it! It's us!" John called out but was ignored as Kalvin kept up his attack.
"Kalvin kiddo stop!" Ashley called out but then cursed as she had her gun out. Kalvin dodged the gunfire but from how Ashley shot she was trying to avoid hitting him.
Just then a Biotic move pushed Ashley out of the way as Kalvin avoided her. Jane moved with a roar and the two clashed blades. Just then Ashley, after landing, came from behind and got Kalvin in a sleeper hold.
"Kalvin kiddo, listen it's me calm down its ok!" Ashley said trying to get Kalvin to focus. "Think about those who care for you, Allura your old man." Ashley said trying to sooth him. "Focus control it!" Ashley growled as Kalvin struggled to get free.
"You can do it Kalvin get control I know you can do it." John said as Jane kept her distance for a bit.
Kalvin snarled as he tried to get free but his mind on the other hand was focusing. Kalvin was in trouble all he saw was rage and fury as he tried his hardest to get free. But despite this he was still there trying to focus. Just then Kalvin felt a familiar growl resonate in his head and from it he saw the Black Lion was there.
Kalvin snarled as with a burst of strength he broke out much to everyone's shock. He then charged at Jane who saw this while holding her side but did nothing to stop him. "Jane!" John called out as Jabe just stood there for a moment. Then with a feral roar Kalvin attacked and for a moment all was calm.
But no lives had been taken as Kalvin had stabbed the wall behind Jane as she saw her reflecting in the Bayard's Blade. As Kalvin stood there, he grabbed his head as his eyes reverted to their original state before he stumbled back. "Way to go kiddo." Jane said proud of Kalvin that he pulled himself out of that hole.
"Galra Rage volatile required guidance." Mordin said seeing what this was. "First injured." Mordin said as the medic which mean he had to tend to the injured. More so when they saw Jane slide down against the wall holding her injury.
As Mordin went over to Jane Ashley glared at the woman making her way over. "Ok bitch time to find out why you thought it was a good idea to..." Ashley began only to go wide eyed at what she saw. Moving her hand to reveal her injury Jane showed not flesh and blood by circuits and coolant.
"Surprise." Jane said with a mock smile.
"Wh-what?!" Kalvin asked as even Ashley was surprised.
"What is what is she?" Tali asked and thus it was John who responded.
"She's a synthetic not the original." John said sadly as it was EDI who learned of this information.
"So vait you vere zi vone who sent zi message." Sven said surprised and confused by this.
"I was and as I said its complicated." Jane said before getting down to it. "I'm basically a digital copy of Jane all her memories transmigrated into digital form." Jane began as she explained the situation. "Basically, I had to jump through some hoops but think of me as the borderline between and AI and a VI." Jane explained as Tali got nervous. "I'm an AI that I have all of the original Jane's memories and emotions but I'm a VI that I was made to serve a specific purpose." Jane said as the mimic stood up and smiled at the group. "That purpose is about to be fulfilled." Jane said but then she looked at John. "But you knew that didn't you Johnny." Jane said knowing her husband all that well.
"EDI Told me." John said knowing that his wife was gone, and this was an illusion.
"Of course." Jane said as she smiled to the group. "Come on we need to wake up the Galra." Jane said as she gestured for the group to follow. "Preferably before the Cryogenic tanks start to fail." Jane said as they had to do this now. She led the teams to the lift knowing that it was going to be one of those things.
Once they got there Jane handed to Kalvin the dagger as he took it. But Jane smiled to her son before giving one last thing to say. She took his hand in hers and got close to her son. "On the day you were born the day I held you in my arms for the first time I knew that one day you'd grow to become someone the Galaxy would name stars after." Jane said smiling to her son. "I know that I'm not the original, but I know that seeing you now... a Paladin of Voltron a hero in your own right... I am prouder then any mother has ever been." Jane said to her son doing what her own mother did for her.
"That makes both of us." Ashley mumbled as she was honestly proud of Kalvin as well.
"This dagger is yours now but remember the strength of a weapon comes from here." Jane said pointing to her son's chest. "But only when tempered by this." Jane said pointing to her son's head. "Understand?" Jane asked as Kalvin nodded to his mother.
"I do." Kalvin said and with a smile Jane let go of her son. Once that was done Kalvin presented the dagger and placed his hand on the scanner. When he did so the red light turned green and with it the lift opened up to the final room.
(Later the Main command deck)
The group entered the final room and saw it was the main control room. Entering the facility Jane smiled as she felt her holographic projection glitch out for a moment. "This is as far as I can go." Jane said sadly as this got the attention of Kalvin, Jane, and Ashley.
"What?" John asked and thus they saw how her form fizzled a bit.
Jane leaned against a station feeling her power reserves starting to fail. "Maybe we can hook you up to a battery and." Kalvin began but then Jane stopped him.
"Don't pretty sure the Quarian wouldn't be happy about it." Jane said gesturing towards Tali who heard that and pouted a bit. "Look I don't have time, so I'll get down to it." Jane said before starting with John. She then proceeded to smack John upside the head causing him to yelp. "That was for being an absent father after I died." Jane said as she got down to scolding.
"Wait but." John began only for Kalvin to smack John again causing him to yelp.
"Not an excuse, your son's life flew by while you were off being a galactic hero." Jane said not happy about how much of Kalvin's life John had missed out on. Jane wasn't done as she then calm her breathing before moving to her next words. "I get why you had to be away, but Kalvin needed you and he still needs you." Jane said whispering the last part. "Just promise me you'll still look over him make sure to be there if he needs help." Jane said wanting John to promise her that much.
"I... I promise." John said happy that Jane was as he remembered her.
"Good... oh and if you see Samara tell her I said high and see if she can have Kalvin meet her daughters. Heaven knows they could use a friend." Jane said as it sounded like she knew something about Samara. Jane then made her way over to Ashley to have her final words with her as well. "Ashley, right?" Jane asked directing her attention to Ashley. "Ashley Williams." Jane said knowing the name well as Ashley stood in attention.
"Yeah." Ashley said her military training kicking in.
"Thanks for looking after my boys." Jane said as she smiled at Ashley. "Kalvin was a handful even when he was young, he got that from his father." Jane said but then got down to it. "And don't worry I want his happiness so if you chase after John then you have my approval. Anyone who can handle my son deserves that much." Jane smiled as Ashley was now blushing at the praise from Jane.
Once that was done Jane looked back over to Kalvin as this would be their final goodbye. "Come on." Jane said gesturing for Kalvin to follow her. In turn they made their way over to the main console and with Kalvin's hand they proceeded to access it. Jane smiled and took her sons hand into hers before Jane smiled.
"I'll be going now." Jane said as she then smiled to her son. "I'll see you around kiddo." Jane said and thus the final sparks of her life vanished power cells gone and likely all her data deleted now that her task has been completed. The Synthetic fell over and the projection she made vanished revealing the Galra Drone underneath much to Kalvin's shock. Kalvin held it in as best he could as he had to focus on the mission. But looking at his hand Kalvin still felt the warmth of his mother's hand in it. The Galaxy knew her as a butcher, a boogeyman, and several other ill flattering titles. But for Kalvin she was his mother and as a child she and his father John were his heroes.
Clenching his fist Kalvin focused on the mission and placed his hand on the console. From there holographic screens appeared and thus Kalvin knew what came next. Inserting the needed commands came easy as soon enough the process started.
"Beginning command staff and essential crew members defrosting process." The Ships Automatic systems announced as the ship began to hum to life. Following it up two pods rose from the center of the room as Kalvin walked over to it. Looking inside Kalvin saw a Galra inside it with his eyes closed and what looked to be a long braid. The Process began and soon enough the two pods opened up and the figures inside fell out.
Acting fast Kalvin moved but they managed to land on their hands and knees. Kalvin headed over and tried to help the Galra up while the others kept their distance. "Krolia." The Galra began as his bearings were returning. "It looks like everything..." He began but then saw Kalvin and then the armor he was wearing. "Wait you're not." He said but Kalvin helped the Galra up.
"No, I'm not Krolia was my grandmother." Kalvin said revealing this information to this figure. "She's no longer around." Kalvin said as the figure noticed the dagger Kalvin had.
"And from your armor... you're the Paladin for the Black Lion." The Galra said and thus he got on his feet.
"Yeah." Kalvin said as The Galra looked around the room and saw all the beings here particularly he noted Mordin but ignored him for now. "My grandmother entrusted her mission to find and wake you up to my mother who then passed it down to me." Kalvin said as the Galra heard him out. "You're in the next cycle and the Reapers are preparing for their return." Kalvin said his tone a word of warning.
"So, everything happened as it should with only minor differences." The Galra said and in turn he looked to the group. "Thank you, all of you I am Kolivan leader of the Blades of Marmora." He said and thus the group nodded. "Has preparations been made for the Reapers arrival?" Kolivan asked as he knew the Protheans left their beacons as warnings. The group all looked to each other and knew that there was a lot to get the Galra caught up on.
"You... might want to sit down for this." Tali said knowing Kolivan was not going to be happy about this.
