Chapter 16: What You Want

It would be about a week till the next major ghost event would occur for the twins. Though for Danielle, she didn't get to take part in much of it till the very end at least. This was mostly due to her, her parents, and Sam getting sick for the week with a REALLY bad cold. Might have been the flu in hindsight, if she thought about it.

Because of this, she only had what Danny told her to go off of. Which wasn't much. The first thing she learned, though it was more her parents who told her then Danny, was that her parents had invented a new ghost device. A ghost catcher. It was supposed to be like a Native American Dream Catcher but for ghosts. Meaning it would expunge ghosts from one's system. When she heard about this device, she was a bit skeptical about it, but Danny would confirm that it did indeed work. And told her to avoid it if she could.

Danny also told Danielle he unlocked a new power. Ecto beams. Meaning he could shoot ecto projectiles from his hands. Danielle was jealous about that, but she told herself she probably had the ability too. She just had to unlock it for herself. Something she promised she would do as soon as she was better.

As for the ghost that was causing all the problems, it was a real odd one in that it could literally grant people's wishes. Danielle had learned that her brother had to take on so many different things that people wished for. Apparently amongst the things he had to take on was an overly buff Dash, an anime cat-like Paulina, and a flying car. If you can name it, he pretty much took it on. Danielle, most likely, wouldn't have believed her brother if it wasn't for the final thing he had to have her help in taking care of. A ghost powered Tucker.

It would be on the fifth day of taking care of that ghost, that Danielle would receive a call on her cell. Seeing that it was her brother, Danielle would click talk and answer, albeit coughing slightly, "Hey Danny. What's up?"

"You're still at home, right Elle," asked Danny, alongside the sound of some wind. Apparently, Danny must have been flying while he was making this call.

"Yeah… I'm still sick you know," said Danielle, as she sucked up some snot, "Why do you ask?"

"Cause I need you to go down to the basement and get something for me," replied Danny.

"Okay," said Danielle, as she stood up from bed, "What do you need me to get you?"

"The Ghost Catcher," Danny would reply.

This caused Danielle to pause in her tracks. Didn't Danny say previously to stay away from that device of their parents? "Um I'm just making sure my earring isn't congested," said Danielle, "Can you repeat that?"

"The Ghost Catcher," said Danny, "I need you to go get it and bring it outside and wait. I'm going to need to use it, if I can't just shoot something out of Tucker."

"Wait, shoot what out of Tucker," asked Danielle, as she continued on her way towards the basement.

"Don't have time to explain right now, Elle," said Danny, "Just please bring the Catcher outside."

"Alright, alright," said Danielle as she made it to the basement, "It will be done."

"Thanks," replied Danny, as he hung up the phone.

"What would Danny need to use the Ghost Catcher on Tucker," muttered Danielle, as she walked up to the device, "But… Man… It really does look like a dream catcher…" Sneezing, Danielle would rub the bottom of her nose before grabbing the pole of the Ghost Catcher. "Huh… It's fairly light despite its size," said Danielle, "Welp, let's take this outside then."

Thirty minutes later, Danielle would be sitting on the stoop of her house with the Ghost Catcher by her side. Sniffling a little, Danielle would say to herself, "Hurry up Danny. I miss my bed."

Then another moment later, Danny would appear overhead. "Where is he," Danielle would overhear Danny say, "He has to have followed me. It's almost noon."

"What does noon have to do with-," Danielle would begin to think, before suddenly a very green and buff looking Tucker would appear floating in front of Danny.

"Yo, what's the dizzle, fizzle," shouted Tucker, in Danny's face before he grabbed the ghost boy. Tucker would then shove Danny downward towards the house, going intangible as he did.

"What in the world," shouted Danielle, "I think I know why Danny needed the ghost catcher now. Time to help my brother! GOING GHOST!" And with that Danielle would change to her ghost form before grabbing the pole of the ghost catcher and following Danny and Tucker inside while also going intangible.

Appearing in the basement lab, Danielle would immediately notice Tucker and Danny by the ghost portal. Realizing what Tucker was about to do, Danielle's eyes would go wide. "No," mumbled Danielle, "I have to save Danny!"

Then suddenly Danny would sneeze in Tucker's face, prompting the ghost powered techno-geek to release Danny and say, "Hey! Cover your mouth!"

"Now Danielle," shouted Danny, when he noticed his sister not far off which would prompt the ghost girl to take the opportunity to swing the circle of the ghost catcher over Tucker separating the ghost half from the human half.

Shaking his head, Tucker would look up at his ghost half and say, "Is that me?" Which prompted the ghost half to let out a roar before being sucked into a thermos by Danny.

"No, it's not you, Tuck," said Danny, "Not anymore."

"Oh man, Danny," said Tucker, as he walked towards Danny, "I'm sorry. I-I couldn't control myself."

"Dude, don't worry about it," said Danny, sounding a little sniffly, "You were under the genie's spell, and you broke it."

"Yeah, but none of that would have happened if I wasn't jealous," said Tucker.

""Or if I had been a little less of a show-off around you," Danny would reply, "Friends?"

"The best," said Tucker, as Danny and Tucker shook hands.

"Umm… Can I get an explanation here," said Danielle, as she stood by the now upright ghost catcher.

"Sure thing, Elle," said Danny and Tucker together, as they made their way to the stairs, "We'll tell you upstairs."

Author's Note: Well, I'm not going to lie this was a hard chapter to write for me. Mostly because I wasn't certain how to. In the end I decided that since Danielle and Sam probably spend a lot of time together hanging out similar to how Tucker and Danny do in the beginning of the actual episode, Danielle probably would get Sam's cold sooner than Danny did. I was thinking of having a bit at the beginning of Sam and Danielle doing something. Maybe some activist activity, but I couldn't get something that sounded right, and sounded like something Sam would do. Regardless of that, I'm happy with how this turned out. Next episode is the first episode with everyone's favorite fruit loop. So see ya next chapter.
