"Stop dawdling and keep up!"
Hode interrupted Gwen's thoughts.
Gwen instinctively nodded and quietly followed Hode's lead.
"Shh,Kingpin has brought his elite squad too."
"He specifically trained these people to eliminate obstacles for himself!"
The two of them hid behind an old, rusty shipping container as Gwen carefully signaled towards the distance.
Following her gaze, Hode's sight fell on soldiers armed to the teeth, equipped almost like a special forces team. They not only had the most advanced bulletproof helmets and vests but also wore masks with ballistic protection.
"Jin Bing really is wealthy!"
Hode couldn't help but think to himself; a full set of this gear costs at least half a million. And yet he had equipped nearly dozens of people with it.
"We need to be careful; they're not like those previous thugs..."
Gwen moved her limbs while carefully observing how to find a weakness.
She was indeed skilled, but that didn't mean she was invulnerable. Plus, given their special training, they had to exercise extra caution.
Just as Gwen was speaking, the silhouette beside her suddenly stood up.
To her shock, Hode walked straight out from behind the container, confidently striding towards the distance.
"Hey!"
Gwen lowered her voice and called out, "Unicorn, what are you doing?!"
She couldn't tell if this guy in the battle suit was unable to hear her.
Going out like that was clearly inviting death!
"I'm going to test the performance of this battle suit!"
Hode didn't turn back, casually moving and stretching his arms and legs as he walked.
Although he had just dealt with some thugs, they had provided no useful information at all.
To understand the true power of his armor, he had to engage with these guys.
As soon as Hode stepped out, he caught the attention of the elite soldiers in the distance.
"Calling in! There's an external intruder!"
Upon noticing Hode walking boldly towards them, they didn't immediately open fire but instead reported the situation with vigilance.
As this message spread, teams from other directions quickly dispatched personnel to converge on this area.
In just over ten seconds, Hode was surrounded.
Faced with these soldiers, Hode calmly placed his hand on the Kabuto Zecter on his belt.
"Mask form!"
He suddenly pulled the lever on the bug head to the right.
【PUTON (Transform)!】
The knight form of the beetle rose up in an instant, transforming.
Hode crossed his arms, and as light flashed over the surface of his armor, plates of steel began to cover it.
At the same time, the horn on his head retracted, splitting into two steel forked horns.
Its lightweight exterior had now transformed into something resembling armor, appearing almost indestructible.
The reason Hode switched to this form was that this mask had incredibly strong defensive capabilities.
Even a missile striking him directly wouldn't be able to penetrate.
"This looks absolutely incredible!"
Peeking out from behind the container, Gwen marveled with wide eyes.
There was no way any engineering student could resist such a battle suit.
She couldn't even see how it was accomplished!
"Open fire!"
The elite soldiers immediately squeezed their triggers without hesitation.
The sky erupted with flashes of fire!
Bullets poured down like rain from their weapons, shrouding Hode.
Bang, bang, bang!
Due to their training, their shooting was coordinated in alternating shots.
The rapid gunfire echoed as if igniting a series of firecrackers without pause.
Bullets struck against Hode's mask form, causing metal fragments to explode from his body with each impact.
The fiery sparks blossomed on the surface of the armor, reminiscent of fireworks blooming in the night sky.
The sounds of clashing metals reverberated all around, and the soldiers didn't stop pulling the trigger until they saw Hode fall.
Meanwhile, Hode, with an expression of indifference, observed the changes in the armor's mask form amidst the rain of bullets.
The bullets striking him barely even felt like a tickle, as the heavy armor rendered their efforts futile; to him, they were just struggling to breathe.
"This guy can actually handle these soldiers!"
Gwen's anxieties finally eased.
Hode stood there as if he were an unyielding fortress.
She had clearly worried unnecessarily.
In this situation, those soldiers had no impact on Hode whatsoever.
"It's time for me to perform!"
Gwen leaped out from behind the container, rolling once in the air, her hands quickly shooting webs at the surrounding elite soldiers.
The thick webs stuck to the masks of the soldiers, obstructing their vision.
As they frantically tried to tear the webs from their masks, they were met with a white shape rushing towards them.
This white arc darted rapidly between trees and obstacles, so fast that the soldiers could only catch glimpses of the fleeting white form.
Gwen zipped through the space with Hode providing cover, tracing a graceful arc in the air.
Dropping behind the enemy, with danger on both sides, the elite soldiers were completely at a loss.
...
In the factory.
"I'll take care of the situation on the northern coast. If we join forces, our business will quickly spread overseas!"
A bulky, bald man sat on a black sofa, his suit stretching tightly across his body.
He rested his right hand on a cane, while his left hand raised a wine glass with a sinister smile.
Tap, tap, tap...
Just asKingpin prepared to toast with his guest, a sudden flurry of gunfire erupted outside.
Frowning, he turned to his subordinate standing beside him.
"Boss, we have two intruders outside!"
The subordinate quickly pulled out a tablet, displaying footage from the surveillance cameras.
"Ghost Spider?"
Jin Bing immediately recognized the identity of the white figure, "Who is that red armored figure? Iron Man?"
"Boss, that's probably not Iron Man."
The subordinate bowed respectfully and explained.
"Not?"
"Let's activate Plan A and eliminate them."
Jin Bing's concerned heart finally relaxed, dismissively waving his hand.
After all, if Iron Man showed up, the Avengers might not be far behind.
But these two lightweights were nothing to worry about.
" , is everything okay outside?"
The guest sitting opposite him appeared noticeably anxious.
"Don't worry; it's just a minor hassle. It'll be resolved soon!"
Jin smiled broadly and picked up the wine glass again.
Outside.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Hode stood calmly in the middle of the battlefield, using his handgun to check off the guards one by one.
A simple spray of bullets sent all the guards tumbling down, their blood soaking the ground.
"You're a scientist?"
Gwen twirled in mid-air and landed beside Hode.
She was curious about Hode's identity; she often attended various scientific conferences but had no recollection of such research results.
At first, she thought it might be a version of Iron Man, but this was clearly a different type of armor.
"Let's get inside quickly!"
Hode didn't answer Gwen's question and strode towards the factory.
"What material is your armor made of? It can't be ordinary metal, right?"
"Otherwise, it would have been shattered just now! Could it be vibranium?"
Gwen followed closely behind, incessantly asking questions.
She couldn't understand who this man was at all.
Boom!
Suddenly, the factory entrance exploded open.
Through the thick billowing smoke, more than twenty strange shadows began to appear.
Upon closer inspection, they were clearly robots with a mech exterior and spider-like legs protruding from their backs.
These robots quickly climbed along the walls, and as their mouths opened, you could even see the cannons installed inside!
"It's Kingpin's spider killers!"
Gwen's expression turned grim at the sight; these robots were designed specifically to counter her research.
She had already dealt with the earlier models, but she never expected they would be mass-produced!
