"Electro? Is that the name you came up with for me?"
The Electro suddenly saw a person who could fly, and the fear and irritation in his heart eased significantly. A flying person, much like himself, couldn't be considered human, which gave him a sense of recognition.
"Yes." Ye Hai continued to float in mid-air, grinning at the Electro. "Look at yourself; your body is constantly emitting light like a light bulb and you can produce lightning. Aren't you the Electro? How do you feel about that nickname?"
"Not bad," the Electro nodded. "But I'd rather not have that nickname, especially if I could return to my human form."
"You want to return to your human form?" Ye Hai looked the Electro up and down and said, "If you're willing to cooperate, I might be able to help you get back to your original self."
"You really have a way?" The Electro was suddenly filled with excitement. As his emotions surged, the electrical currents around him became active, breaking free from the cables and weaving through the air before entering his body.
"What are you trying to do?" Ye Hai said in anger, his eyes warily fixed on the Electro.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," the Electro hurriedly apologized. "I didn't mean to, but I don't know why the surrounding electrical currents flew into my body."
"Oh?" Ye Hai relaxed a bit seeing he didn't intend to attack. "That's a characteristic of your body. I'm not entirely clear about it yet. If you want to learn about your condition, why don't you come with me to my lab?"
"Lab?" The Electro exclaimed like a startled bird, "Are you going to make me a test subject? Like those lizard people in Osborn? That's terrifying—I won't go…"
The Electro seemed genuinely frightened of being used as an experiment, and he suddenly lost control, turning to flee into the darkness. However, his body emitted a brilliant light, making him conspicuous no matter where he ran.
Ye Hai casually followed behind him, constantly explaining that he just wanted to check his body, but the Electro clearly didn't trust this stranger.
"Hey, buddy, don't you want to return to your original self?" Finally, Ye Hai said helplessly.
"I don't believe you have that ability." The Electro stopped, gazing at the bright area filled with electricity—the currents were a deadly lure for him. He found it irresistible, much like a drug addict becoming entranced by that satisfying feeling.
"I'm going to that place. Doctor, don't follow me." The Electro shouted as he ran towards the source of his temptation.
Ye Hai was startled; that place was in a busy area. If the Electro ran into such a locale, it was bound to cause trouble. Having exchanged words with this Electro, he didn't want to use force, but now he had no choice.
"You can't go there."
Suddenly, Ye Hai dove down and, like an eagle catching its prey, grabbed the Electro and flew straight into the sky.
"Let go of me, let go of me…"
The Electro struggled in mid-air, sending currents zapping toward Ye Hai, who shuddered violently but managed to endure thanks to his mutant regenerative abilities.
Ye Hai chuckled, "I'll take you to a place. If you cooperate as my test subject, I'll find a way for you to return to your original form."
"Put me down!"
Hearing about being a test subject provoked the Electro; he roared in fury, and his body erupted in dazzling light, releasing massive electric currents into Ye Hai. Ye Hai felt a jolt of pain and, with his hands slipping, the Electro fell.
With a loud crash, the Electro landed on a parked car, which set off a blaring alarm.
This was a busy area, and many bystanders witnessed the scene, some screaming in shock while others pulled out their phones to record it.
"He seems to be alive!"
Someone shouted when they noticed the Electro move suddenly.
Suddenly, the Electro stood up, glanced at the crowd, and leaped toward the masses. Just then, a shadow swooped down, grabbing the Electro and soaring into the sky.
"Oh my god, this guy can fly too?"
"You must be mistaken, another person caught him."
"A flying person? Is it the scientist?"
"Look! They seem to be fighting in the sky!"
The idle onlookers were loudly speculating, craning their necks to watch the battle above.
Ye Hai had become cleverer; he didn't know where he got a thick rope, but he began twisting and rolling in the air, binding the Electro securely.
"You can't hold me!" the Electro protested.
"Is that so?" Ye Hai glanced at his rope and said, "Unfortunately, you don't have much charge left. I can deal with you quite easily, so you better behave!"
"Where are you taking me?"
"Don't worry, it's a place with many monsters like you. You won't be lonely there." Ye Hai replied with a grin.
Ye Hai soared through the skies, flying over New York, and arrived at a suburban mansion.
This was the School for Mutants.
