In some parts of New York's nightlife, it's a time for dark creatures to hunt.

Jack was feeling excited today, convinced it was his lucky day. Next to him was a stunning girl with long brown hair, a delicate oval face, long eyelashes, a petite nose, and full lips. He couldn't help but admire her shapely backside and those long, beautiful legs; he wanted to touch them right then and there.

He gave her legs a light squeeze—smooth and pale, but a bit cold. "Looks like it's pretty chilly tonight," he thought to himself.

The girl didn't seem to mind his boldness; instead, she smiled brightly at him.

"Come with me, handsome!" she said, leading him forward.

Jack was even happier; how could he turn down an invitation from such a beauty? He joyfully followed her.

They walked through several streets until they reached a secluded area, entering a massive slaughterhouse. The place was filled with hanging carcasses of pigs, and there were pale-faced people who looked almost like corpses, completely still.

"What the hell is this?" Jack exclaimed, feeling a chill run down his spine. But the girl kept pulling him forward, and her allure gave him the courage to ignore the eerie surroundings.

Suddenly, they passed through a room filled with pulsating music. Men and women were dancing, moving their bodies without a care in the world. Jack saw many beautiful women here; they were not only stunning but also alluring, as if just a touch could lead to something more.

In a corner, he even spotted couples engaging in explicit acts, and he could hardly believe his eyes. "Wow, I love this place!" Jack said with excitement.

"Welcome to hell!" the girl beamed, throwing her head back and opening her arms wide.

Jack was taken aback as he noticed that everyone around them was mimicking her—throwing their heads back, arms wide open, gazing upwards with yearning expressions.

The ceiling was lined with numerous sprinklers, releasing a rain of liquid that turned the crowd and the floor a deep crimson.

"What's going on?" Jack asked, now smelling blood. As he licked his lips, he blurted out, "Oh my god, that's blood!"

He recalled recent rumors of vampires luring handsome men and beautiful women at night, only for them to disappear without a trace, likely consumed by the vampires.

As these thoughts rushed through his mind, Jack suddenly felt weak and collapsed to the ground.

Everyone around him appeared young, leaning forward with their mouths agape, displaying sharp fangs while they didn't even glance at the terrified Jack. Instead, they all stared in one direction, looking on with fear.

A sturdy, armed black man stood in front, quickly opening fire on the crowd. The people struck by his bullets erupted into flames, turning to ash in seconds.

"What the hell? Is that a vampire? It must be a vampire!" Jack thought in terror as he cowered on the ground, but the vampires ignored him, surrounding the black man in combat.

The man was incredibly powerful, dominating the chaos as the vampires fled in panic, behaving just like ordinary people under strong pressure.

Suddenly, over twenty people burst into the room, each carrying special submachine guns, and they opened fire on the black man, who collapsed under the barrage.

"We finally got him! It took us a lot of effort to catch him," one man boasted.

"Is that it?" Jack was dumbfounded by the sudden shift. Aren't heroes supposed to always defeat the villains?

Suddenly, a heavy wall broke, and a shadowy figure surged in. In the blink of an eye, the twenty or so people were thrown against the wall, crashing as if they were mere wallpaper.

Jack stared in shock at the newcomer—a handsome Asian man.

That man was Ye Hai.

He had obtained Blade's location from the professor and came flying right over.

Ye Hai surveyed the scene and smiled. "Looks like I arrived just in time. Who's Blade?"

"I am," the black man grumbled, rising cautiously as he eyed Ye Hai. "You're not a vampire. Are you a mutant?"

"Yes, I'm here to find you," Ye Hai assessed Blade's gear and said with a smile, "Your outfit is quite impressive."

"Thanks. What do you want with me? Are you here to kill me?" Blade replied coldly.

Ye Hai shook his head. "No, I want to invite you to join me in taking down the vampire, Frost."

"You know where Frost is?" Blade asked, slightly surprised, narrowing his eyes at Ye Hai. "But why should I trust you? What if this is a trap to lead me into a snare?"

"I wouldn't need to set a trap to kill you," Ye Hai said, swiftly appearing directly in front of Blade, lightly pushing him with a finger. Blade was propelled like a cannonball against the wall, joining the others who clung there.

"How's that?" Ye Hai, somehow again standing in front of Blade, smiled.

"Alright, I believe you," Blade grunted, forcing a wry smile.
