5.1 - In which Lanfront Ruins…

With a raised eyebrow Bryan kept half an eye on Wily while the rest of it was keeping an eye on the ancient computer. Part of him was wondering why exactly the scientist had brought him here but the rest was just exasperated.

Hopefully that message he managed to send towards Doctor Light arrived and the man was prepared for whatever was to come.

That said he glanced down towards the robot that he was in the middle of helping to build and got back to work. His Eye Gear, a small little computer based off of something he saw in an anime, showed him some faults that needed to be taken care of.

Unfortunately the German was in mad scientist mode so he was doing his best to stay helpful and out of the way. This basically amounted to running a few diagnostics on the newest Robot Master, Ra Thor and finding a few faults in it.

Nothing major but there were a few outdated parts that this newest partner of theirs had incorporated. So to be helpful he started the few minor upgrades and repairs needed to keep himself helpful and hopefully not harmed.

The second he started though the boy had felt that the ancient computer had seemingly focused on him. How he had no clue but could just tell the thing had and was regarding him with an intensity that was unsettling.

Part of him also really didn't trust the thing after learning that it wasn't even from Earth originally.

Unfortunately however Bryan had no way of figuring out its true intentions so he had to keep quiet for now. Thus he was now back to work on a few tweaks to increase the efficiency of the power core of the black robot.

It took him barely a thought to trigger a scan from his gear and smirked slightly at the 4.8% increase in efficiency. Not the biggest increase but any boost would make this Bot that more efficient in the long run.

Rolling his shoulder a bit the boy grimaced as he felt a strap pinch slightly and mentally grumbled. Despite the Eye Gear using his newly made nervous interface for mental commands he had yet to scale it down correctly.

Unfortunately it was still a prototype so the actual interface was strapped to his back in a one foot by one foot by six inch box. He also had a headband on with a wire running down to the box like device but that was the best he could do for now.

Thankfully he already had plans for the next device that should shrink it down to a much more reasonable size but was unable to bring them with him.

That said he shook the irritation off and got back to work on the last of the needed tweeks before he ran out of stuff to improve. Wily could probably find a few more faults but Bryan was reasonable that was only due to having more experience than him.

In this case the foot joint had a microcrack along one of the seams that hadn't been properly sealed. Most likely a fault of whatever manufacturing process created it in the first place and normally wouldn't be a problem unless a liquid managed to seep in.

However he was picky about things like this and was not going to leave something minor up to chance. Best to take care of it now so it wouldn't become a bigger problem later on, such as in the middle of a fight.

Despite his work however he still kept an ear and eye on what was happening around him. Thus he wasn't surprised in the least when Mega was brought into the chamber after the fight with Sparkman.

Standard village speak ensued and he finished up just in time as Wily walked over and proceeded to introduce the newest Robot Master.

"-and now let me introduce you to my New Wily Number 1, Ra Thor!"

Bryan stood back as the black and golden bot stood up from the table and threw an exasperated look towards the bound Mega Man. Rock seemed to have at the very least acknowledge him but was focused on the much more intimidating bot.

"You also have the super computer Ra Moon and myself to help Wily."

Speaking up tiredly the boy wondered what he was even doing at this point with his life. On the bright side the German did seem slightly abashed as he let out a chuckle and spoke.

"Ah, right, how can I forget about my amusing assistant let alone the massive computer hanging over my head."

Sighing, the kid turned away from the bots for a bit to go and check the computer as Megaman and Wily got into an argument. Though just before he could a cold metalict hand grabbed his arm just below the shoulder.

Tensing in alarm he looked at the hand and saw the glowing yellow eyes of Ra Thor looking back at him ominously.

"What the…"

Speaking softly at the sudden action Bryan didn't get a moment to figure out what was going on before a sudden spike of pain hit him.

"GRAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Letting out a shout of pain the brown haired boy felt like something was attempting to drive an icepick or something into his head. He could vaguely hear someone crying out his name but the pain was way too much for him at this point.

That said he was still capable of some thought and while most of him was consumed in agony that little bit of him left realized what was wrong. Ra Moon was controlling the electromagnetic field around the complex and manipulating electronics all around the world.

While most had stopped working as a result there were a few exceptions such as the items currently in this room. And he, being so stupid, was wearing a neural interface, a device that was capable of two way interaction with a user.

He knew the computer had something up its metaphorical sleeve but had done nothing to prepare for it. If he somehow survived this mess then from now on he was going to be a bit more proactive in his attempts to migrate Wily's antics.

First thing first though he had to get the stupid interface off of him.

Heat suddenly was licking his back however and something was being ripped off his head in short order. Wearily looking up with blurry eyes the kid realized that the German was helping holding onto him with a look of concern on his face.

Still recovering however, Bryan attempted to raise his hand only to notice that while Wily was trying to say something he could barely hear anything beyond a ringing sound. He also caught sight of the red stain on the palm of his hand which did not paint a pretty picture, let alone with the liquid dripping down his face.

This however didn't stop him from noticing the giant black robot approaching from behind with a signal giant red eye.

His pain was still great but despite that his mind was as sharp as ever. It was therefore not surprising in the least that he managed to react before the monstrosity of a bot did.

Pushing Wily away with whatever strength he still had, Bryan managed to get him away from the giant arm that was approaching. That said he was still grabbed by the arm and roughly pulled up by the monstrosity.

"ENOUGH! I won't stand for any more of your meddling you pathetic fleshling child! End him my New Yellow Devel!"

Ra Moon was loud and the kid barely realized what the ancient computer was saying. Looking at the giant robot he only had a moment to realize that its other hand was reaching towards him as well.

The next thing he knew was a return of pain but just that much worse and the horrible sensation of something liquid quickly covering his body.

5.2 - In which Lanfront Aftermath

Rock sat on the table as his father Doctor Light ran a few tests on him and performed a few repairs. That said he just continued to stare ahead of him at the wall completely uncomprehending of what was going on around him.

Oh sure he realized where he was and who was in the room with him but on some level he just wasn't there.

Even Blues, aka Protoman, was in the lab despite whatever reservations he had about it things were just that bad. Both the sunglasses wearing robot master and their sister were even helping in the repairs for something to do.

Roll and Thomas were both concerned with this behavior, even more with Blues actions of staying with them instead of running off. If he had bothered looking he could tell that all other Light Bots were outside scattered around the house and also worried.

Nobody knew why Rock was acting like this, the fact that he just shut down was scaring all of them, with one exception.

Blues had been with everyone to go and bring their brother out of the Lanfront ruins but arrived a few minutes before them. While he was at first going to wait for help the second he found his brother however he had suddenly frozen in place.

He had seen Wily making a rush out of the ruins carrying something but hadn't stopped to think of it. He then quickly regretted it upon seeing the drying reddish-brown liquid that was splattered over his sibling.

It did not take a genius to figure out that something had gone horribly wrong and fearing the worst he quickly cleaned his brother up before dragging him away. Nobody had questioned it at first until Rock finally woke up in a catatonic state, barely saying a word to anyone beyond letting them know he was alright.

"What happened?"

Speaking softly, Roll watched as her brother suddenly flinched at the mere sound of her voice and looked at her. He looked just a little bit startled and appeared to be breathing just that much quicker despite not needing to.

"Roll… when did… Right were in the lab, not the Lanfront Ruins… I…"

Trailing off it appeared that Rock was still slightly out of it but his sudden consciousness was at least a step up from before. The Robot Master looked around a bit more before glancing down at himself in confusion for some reason.

"I cleaned you up after finding you… probably for the best if this is how you're acting."

Zeroing in on Blues the lone human and female bot were slightly confused even as the shocked robot looked at him.

"I… yeah… thanks Blues, I… I probably wouldn't have acted well waking up covered in… that."

The brown haired Robot Master was slowly calming down even as he reached up to manually remove his helmet. He let it drop down to the floor with a loud clatter but didn't care about it as he just concentrated on his memory.

Quickly isolating the files Rock slid them away from his primary drive to secondary storage for the time being. Thankfully being a machine allowed him to distant himself from the shock even if they were still quite vivid.

Primary stressor sorted out he calmed down a fair bit more but was still shaken up even as his father put a hand on his shoulder.

"Rock… please tell me what's wrong… I need to help."

Looking at Doctor Light for a moment the robot continued to stare at his creator even as his memory tried to drag up the files once more. Quickly denying the replay the bot took a shuddering breath as he looked at his family.

"I… I just defeated Sparkman when the Wily bot shocked me unconscious. When I came to I was in what I presume the central chamber with the rest of Wily's bots, Wily himself, and… and some kid."

Obviously confused, the family looked at each other, even the bots outside as Roll and Blues relayed information to them. That said they didn't speak as Rock continued on in his rather subdued tone.

"Funnily enough I recognized him… he's had the most terrible luck of being taken hostage by Wily before.

"This time however he was apparently being put to work on the finishing touches of Ra Thor, the newest bot created. I… I didn't have enough time to realize what was going on before Ra Moon, the one behind all of this, acted.

"The kid, he… god he screamed like the damned when that computer did… something to attack him. The next thing I know he's speaking in… some sort of dual tone as Ra Moon used him as a mouthpiece.

"He had some sort of… neural-interface on him that the supercomputer was manipulating to control him. They… it… the computer then sent Ra Thor after me and nothing I did was able to so much as harm them let alone slow them down."

Going silent for a moment Rock had to stop another prompt from activating the memory. He did not want to deal with the memories again, once was more than enough.

This coincidently allowed his family time to absorb the information even as their eyes widened in horror at the implications.

"The kid then… somehow he managed to use that connection back to Ra Moon and its link to Ra Thor to help me. Not only slowed it down but revealed weak spots or warnings to some of its more powerful attacks.

"I looked over at him however and he had blood trailing down his face in… some sort of mockery of tears despite the dark sneer Ra Moon was forcing it into.

"As the bot got weaker it appeared that he was able to break through more and more before ultimately breaking free… But not before telling me to shoot some sort of, black box off his back."

Once more trailing off into silence the Robot Master known as Megaman took a shuddering breath and repressed the memories once more. Roll tried to reach out to her twin but Blues quickly grabbed her hand and shook his head.

Off to the side Doctor Light looked on knowing that they were probably communicating in a way he would forever be unable to understand. That said he still could figure out a number of pieces from just observation alone and was not liking what he was coming to.

"Wily ran over after everything was said and done before quickly removing the rest of the presumably interface.

"It was here however when Ra Moon revealed a new robot… a New Yellow Devil that he was more than ready to use. The kid though… he somehow managed to recover faster than expected and reacted by pushing Wily away just as the bot tried to grab them.

"The computer did not like that and… and…"

Unable to stop the prompt this time Rock watched the scene take place once more and trailed off in suppressed horror. The three others shared looks of concern before Thomas Light approached and placed both hands on his son's shoulders.

Locking eyes, the old man knew he wasn't going to like the answer but still spoke in a soft voice to calm his son down.

"And what did they do my son?"

The blue armored Robot Master blinked out of the memory at the mostly breathless question of his father. His voice was barely above a whisper when he spoke this time but everyone still heard it crystal clear.

-|:-:|- Line Break -|:-:|-

With only slightly shaky hands Wily washed off the last of the blood from hm in his bathroom sink. Looking up at the mirror however showed that his already pale skin was even paler than normal.

He was not equipped to deal with medical emergencies, let alone something as complicated as delicate surgeries. That however didn't mean he couldn't handle said situations, he had at least 28 diplomas dabbling in multiple courses such as biology, chemistry, and bioengineering.

Thus after several hours of surgery and almost losing the kid three times Wily managed to successfully save him… most of him.

Putting a hand on the sink the German felt himself getting slightly sick at what he had to do. It was sickening but he managed to successfully find, build, and essentially install Bryan's neural interface into him.

He was Doctor Alber Wily, robotics genius extraordinaire, and in the end weren't humans just a more complex natural biological robot?

That said he did not envy the kid when he finally woke up. Not only did he have to replace an entire arm up the shoulder but half of a leg just below the knee as well.

Heck, his last operation was just to hook up a robotics eye and attach several semi-organic chips to the kid's brain.

Looking at his reflection again the German took note of how bloodshot his eyes were and how he was still trembling every now and then. Come to think of it, didn't he have some medicine that could help with this?

Yes, he should have something back in his bedroom that he barely used if memory serves correctly.

"Maybe I'll take some and catch some proper sleep tonight… yes, medicine, sleep, and an alarm to wake me up just in case something happens overnight."

Speaking softly to himself Wily nodded as he slowly turned around and stumbled out of the bathroom. His mind desperately trying to block out the sounds of screams, loud snappings, and some sickening tearing sounds.

Why in blazes was he growing so attached to some sort of brat he kept taking as a hostage? It's not like he's growing sentimental or anything, right?

5.3 - In which Bryan deals with the aftermath.

Absently walking down the sidewalk Bryan slowly opened and closed his hand as he tried to comprehend what happened. His other hand was grabbing his… the robotic limb that had taken the place of his own as he examined it.

Still walking down whatever street he had entered absentmindedly the kid could hardly believe the difference between the two.

Before his limb was just a limb, not anything he had ever thought about before and why would he? It was a part of him and therefore not something he would ever think of.

Now however? The limb had a peculiar weight and there was the strangely noticeable faint hum of energy flowing through it.

He then had to flinch as something suddenly appeared in his peripheral before pausing as he realized it was about his arm. Nothing major, just some basic info about the current status and charge level of said limb, but still rather alarming to see.

Irritated at this however Bryan frowned and could feel his eyes going crossed as he tried to get rid of said info. It took him a solid minute to remove it from his sight and left him mentally exhausted afterwards.

He hadn't actually gotten around to testing this version before Wily had hooked it into him. This was still technically an experimental unit and he wasn't expecting to be the one to be using it.

As it stands the unit probably wasn't meant to withstand proper robotic parts intermingling with a human. Probably a side effect of the German grabbing whatever was laying around while trying to help him.

Speaking of the robotics scientist, Wily had been oddly subdued when he came to and only put up a token resistance when he wanted to leave. He was used to the brash and prideful mad scientist, sometimes the rare insightful man who gave him a tip when he got stuck, but never this oddly introversive person that replaced him.

Letting out a groan of irritation Bryan wrenched his robotics limb free of his flesh hand and shoved both hands into his jacket pockets. He had probably spent too much time with the crazy old man but this newest version was a lot more alarming.

Finally noticing where he was however the kid realized that he had subconsciously made his way to the Light residence.

It took him a moment to recognize it having only been outside the place once but the second he did the boy sighed. There was an unknown buzzing that was honestly irritating and it would probably be a good thing to get a second opinion on these new limbs.

Who knows what Wily installed in them that might come back and bite him later if he wasn't careful.

-|:-:|- Scene Shift -|:-:|-

Thomas was content with his life for the moment despite recent events. His family was whole and staying under one roof for the first time, Rock was finally settling down after the horror he had witnessed, and the world was calming down after the last disaster.

While he knew this wouldn't last, the doctor was not going to let this chance slip from his fingers. Things with Blues were still slightly awkward, neither one knowing how to talk with each other, but he was here in his old room. He also refused to enter the lab as well, let alone interact with anyone that bothered to come by but that was fine.

As long as he was alive and well then he would be content to wait for his wayward son to return, no matter how long it took.

Rock was finally starting to smile and laugh once more after the disastrous incident with Ra Moon. While still quieter than normal his son was recovering and determined to not let this down.

Thomas would also admit that he had briefly thought of removing the memories from his son but held back. The downside of having robotic children, if he let himself he could turn them into perfect puppets with none of them knowing better.

He resisted, the mere thought sickening after all this time but still existing as his more senile side pointed out how it could affect them.

The doctor could admit to himself that he had made many mistakes in life, ruining his friendship with Wily, losing the trust of his eldest son, and who knew what else. Life had been hard on him, and until recently his work had all but consumed him to the point he lost out on many things.

Today however he was home alone, having sent all three of his children out insisting on them having some quality bonding time. Roll was the most concerned about leaving him alone but in the end he managed to convince his baby girl to spend time with her brothers.

Thus here he was home alone and mostly working in his office on some company papers he had been putting aside with only the occasional break. Light Labs was mostly self-sufficient with only a rare few things being forwarded to him but he liked to keep on top of things when given the chance.

Therefore it was with some surprise that, while on the way back from his kitchen where he spent his break, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Glancing at it wearily the scientists debated what he was going to do before sighing and heading on over. A brief look at the video monitor showed that it appeared to be a random kid outside wearily looking around.

Watching them press the doorbell once again Thomas contemplated what the kid wanted before sighing and opening said door a crack.

"May I help you?"

Looking slightly startled the young boy seemed to regard the older male for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah I uh… my name's Bryan and I was wondering if your son was home… He uh… I was there at the Lanfront Ruins when things went down. Wily kind of… helped me afterwards but I kind of want a second opinion on… yeah I could use your help if your willing."

It was obvious the kid was quite nervous but that wasn't the part that Doctor Light focused on. No, instead he actually looked at the kid himself for a moment in shock.

When nothing happened after a moment the boy, Bryan he said his name was, looked behind him nervously for a moment before sighing. He then proceeded to pull his right arm out of his jacket before pushing his sleeve up to reveal a strip of metal roughly focused on his shoulder.

Looking at it Thomas realized said metal was practically melded with the poor lads skin and winced. It barely took him a moment to realize why said band was there and the potential implications behind it.

There might have also been some horror when the kid twisted said arm and with a light pop it came off. He grimaced slightly before glancing at the older scientist as if to make sure they were seeing it, and quietly reattached said limb with a soft click.

"Come in then, yes come in."

Motioning the kid in, Thomas looked around for a moment before closing the door behind them. A few minutes later the two were sitting in the lab and Doctor Light was curiously looking over the cyborg.

Interestingly the tech, while it appeared to have been made by Wily if some markings were any indication, did not match any known designs he knew. The only other interesting thing he could find was that said limbs were made with a much lighter but less durable material than regular robotics.

That said the two were silent as they got lost in their own thoughts and barely acknowledged each other. Soon however the older male absently spoke a thought out loud as he was examining one of the ports on the kids arm.

"Fascinating… while it's obvious that Wily has worked on this, the make of it is in contrast with his regular style. Almost as if he was copying someone else's work."

Bryan looked over at the Japanese scientist before letting out a sign and speaking.

"Yeah… I wasn't exactly expecting for the old German to use my work like this. I also didn't expect him to use actual Robot Master tech when making these limbs."

Blinking Thomas looked at the kid for a moment before glancing back at the limbs in question, his mind whirling. Bryan had to be some sort of prodigy if he had been responsible for this type of tech but it did bring up the question of who was teaching him.

While most might have been dismissive of a young kid, not even a teen yet, making something this advanced Doctor Light wasn't. He had seen and done things in his own youth that made such a thing more believable.

One did not gain 27 diplomas before they were 40 without having genius level intelligence and a few interesting misadventures.

"Really now… this isn't half bad, could do with a few more adjustments but that may be just me. Who's been teaching you?"

Looking at Thomas for a moment the cyborg tilted his head to the side in thought before shrugging.

"I've been kidnapped by Wily a lot, wrong place at just the right time, but I kept my head down when it happened. Mainly focused on school work or other things and kept out of any attempts by others to either escape or cause trouble.

"Somewhere along the line however it looked like his bots started recognizing me and, among a rare few others, herded me off to a slightly better off cell. I kind of had nothing one day and got bored before asking one of them for some reading material.

"Imagine my surprise when they actually complied and returned with a book featuring an introduction to basic robotics.

"Each time I returned the same book was there and I just kept reading it for lack of something to do. Next thing I knew the book was gone and in its place was a packet filled with questions that I filled out.

"I'm… not certain what happened next but somewhere along the way I got different books and a few more tests before finding myself in a lab next to Wily. He then basically administered a practical and I must have passed as ever since he's been dragging me along in his escapades."

Thomas raised an eyebrow as the kid spoke and nodded as he went on to explain the numerous interactions he had with his old friend turned enemy. Apparently the German had taken a liking to Bryan who was at the very least attempting to curb some of the old man's antics.

In fact, now that he was thinking about it Thomas could pinpoint the probable date this strange mentorship started happening. The biggest thing that stood out was that mass kidnapping incidents from Albert had slowly started tapering off.

"-the next thing I knew he's suddenly acting a lot differently from the belligerent man I've come to know. He was actually a lot more somber, more… I don't know, sane?

"Wily was a completely different person and when I asked to go home he didn't complain and personally dropped me off a few days ago."

Blinking now Doctor Light looked at the kid who was clearly confused and not a little alarmed at this change. He himself was a little confused for a moment before refocusing on examining the code installed on the limb.

"I don't know what to say Bryan… while Albert and I used to be friends he has changed a lot from the man I used to know. He used to act a bit like you described after taking his meds but I have no clue why he would be like this now."

Looking up Thomas was alarmed to see that Bryan had practically frozen in place, his eyes slowly widening in shock. Heck, the doctor could practically see the cog wheels in the kids head chugging along at amazing speeds before a sudden lightbulb sparked to life and he let out a shriek of irritation.

"You mean all this time Wily hasn't been taking his meds?!"

5.4 - In which, Bryan hotwires his cell…

Kicking back and reading the provided book Bryan flipped through the pages at a calm rate. Unfortunately however he appeared to be the only person in this section of the Skull Fortress and patrols were incredibly rare.

Normally he wouldn't care seeing as how he tried to rarely bother anyone but as time passed he noticed a pressing need for the bathroom.

Thus he resolved himself to waiting for a patrol to pass and continued to read the book for lack of a better thing to do. Half an hour later and the need was becoming a lot harder to ignore with no potential patrol in sight.

With a sigh the boy stood up, stretched slightly, before moving along the wall of the room and banging his fist lightly against the metal. Listening for a moment to the dull thud he continued around the place before finally finding one spot that produced a slightly different sound.

Honestly the only reason he knew this was because of those idiots attempting to escape confinement doing it.

Once he found the right spot he took out his swiss army knife and with a few pokes later managed to find a sort of hidden panel. Pulling it out exposed a few wires and with a few minutes of work he managed to successfully disable the alarm and open up the cell door.

That done he quietly left and followed the directions he could remember the few times he was escorted towards the bathroom. Strangely enough Wily had a fairly standardized layout for his hideouts which made finding said bathroom much easier.

One business trip later and a quick wash of his hands Bryan was walking down the hall back towards the cells. He nodded to the passing Heat Man and Wood Man before continuing on his way even as the two gave him a wave in greetings.

Truthfully he had met a few of the Wily Numbers before and had some passing familiarity with them so he wasn't surprised.

"WHAT THE?!"

"HE ESCAPED?!"

Two shocked voices rang out behind him even as Bryan finally made it back to the holding cells. Heavy footfalls could be heard rushing but he barely paid them any mind as he nodded towards Wily himself and entered his cell.

The German blinked and had a bewildered look on his face as he stood back at the open panel before fiddling with it once more. The door was closed, alarm reset, and with a good wack to stick the panel back in place the kid was in his cell once more.

He then went back to his little cot and kicked back once more while opening the book to its previous spot with ease.

Periphery he was aware that there was some shouting somewhere in the background but he ignored it. Like there was any chance he was going to get involved with such an argument if he could help it, besides the whole thing was in German anyways.

He literally couldn't understand a word of the whole thing… maybe he should start learning that language just in case. Even if Wily used English most of the time for some reason it might come in handy if he ever slipped into his mother tongue during a rant.

Actually, now that he's thinking about it he's been around Wily enough to get a read on the man's habits. Combine that with his own internet trawling and there are several extremely long rants against those who appeared to be modern day Nazis that bear a striking resemblance to those few rants he has heard from the scientist.

Huh, apparently Wily was a big supporter in equal rights movements with a personal hatred against Nazism.

5.5 - In which, Stardroids happen and Treble…

Rolling his neck Bryan felt a satisfying crack as he stood up from the lab table. His current work, some remains of a robot, contained several familiar parts.

Wily had dragged the pre-teen along on another incursion to some sort of ruins who-knows-where upon noticing something strange. Unfortunately however he had been put to task on repairing the mysterious bots contained within.

Currently the German was going over the bot's with a fine tooth and comb upon these notices being brought up. Maybe a little too obsessively but mentions of Ra-Moon tended to set him off like nothing else, not that he could blame him.

Hours of hard work had been set upon restoring the mysterious group with some resources being set to translating the ruins.

That being said however he stepped away from the table and squinted as numerous messages popped up in his peripheral. They were quite fast, coming and going at speeds beyond him, but from what he could tell this was some sort of chat feature of the Robot Masters.

Well, sort of… the Network served as some sort of hub for updates, news, gossip, and numerous other things. The only reason he was on the thing was due to his neural-link and his status as a Cyborg and sort of being considered an honorary Wily Number.

He was just, sort of dragged on one day by Blues without any real clue why and was unable to leave. Why Proto, or Break as he was listed on the Wily Network, did so was unclear but he did and for now he was content to let it be.

Rolling his eyes he kept half a thought on it and started to get some water from a nearby table. Something had happened apparently but what it was he had no clue as the log was just scrolling by too fast.

Bryan could swear that his name had sped by a few times but was unable to figure out why.

A sip later he let out a sigh and approached the bot lying on the table even as he fumbled with a reply.

That set he waited for a moment before frowning as a reply was quickly swallowed up by a wall of text.

Another blurb later and he was just getting back to work on the bot as two more replies were sent towards him. This time he got a little bit more about a problem but that was quickly dissipated leaving him no time to work on it.

With a tired sigh he got back to work only having to reattach the power core to complete this bot.

Slowly he typed up a message while diligently connecting several wires and immersing himself in work.

*I just got part of the message saying that there was some sort of problem but it was quickly lost. You do realize that I'm human and can't keep up with your output right?*

Hmm, somewhere the power lead seemed to have been damaged at some point but he luckily had some wires to replace it. Another reply pinged and he sighed as it lasted longer but was still lost even if it lasted longer this time.

It also helped that it was repeated a few more times before being lost yet all he got was not to do something.

Writing a reply he got a little deeper into the chest cavity of the bot and noted a bit more damage that had yet to be replaced. Said damage wouldn't harm anything in the long run but it would have to be replaced eventually.

*Still didn't get it, I need to stop something? Can you create some sort of secondary channel or something for me, probably a private PM?*

Not much to go now and was it just him or could he feel the ground shaking? The tremor was faint but still noticeable leaving the pre-teen confused and concerned.

Maybe it was just his imagination but Bryan knew he was on some sort of space station even if he did his best to ignore this fact. Anything to cause a faint shaking probably wasn't a good thing here.

Another reply pinged on him but it was quickly lost by an absolute explosion of text annoying him. He probably needed to do something about that and had a few ideas but for now couldn't do anything about it.

Several pings popped up this time but he could just make out the faint sounds of some sort of shouting distracting him. Not that he could read the blurb anyways as it was also lost in another wave of text but he got something out of it.

*What in the name of Japan is a Starsun and why do you need it stopped? I know you're not used to me but will you all slow down already?

*I can't read as fast as you for pete's sake and am almost done working on the last bot.*

Leaning back he still had two wires left to connect and could make out the sound of metallic boots rushing towards him. A brief hum of concentration later and held back a wince as several hundred pings practically slammed into him.

Twitching in shock he noticed he accidentally knocked his half empty bottle of water into the chest cavity of the bot. It was thankfully closed but it would be a pain to get out as said chest cavity also slammed shut.

Bryan however didn't get a moment to react as the door to the lab opened and someone rushed in shouting.

"DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!"

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!

*DON'T FINISH SUNSTAR!*

Several walls of text slammed into him containing the exact same message causing the cyborg to momentarily flail. A hand reached out and slammed into a nearby keyboard which in turn let out a cheery sounding beep.

"Bass!"

"Crap!"

Looking at the bot who had shouted at him Bryan was incredibly confused as to what was happening. The normally unshakable DWN-001 unit was beaten up rather fiercely and was incredibly pale in fright.

Blinking he looked down and noted that the decorative sun symbols on the Robot were starting to light up in such a way as to look like they were made of fire. Actually they looked similar to actual miniature suns now if he was correct and growing closer to the real deal.

"What's going on?"

Speaking slowly he looked away to see that Bass was practically next to him now and barely had time to yelp as he was picked up. The black Robot Master didn't spare a glance back as he quickly sprinted away from the lab as fast as he possibly could.

"What's going on? WHAT'S GOING ON?! You just reactivated a doomsday weapon is what's going on!

"Wily has ordered a full evacuation and we've had our hands full trying to hold back the Stardroids while trying to get in contact with you! Why the heck didn't you stop the first few times we told you to?"

At this point in time the black robot was speaking hysterically even as he darted down another hallway towards the escape pods. Bryan himself blinked a bit as this registered but felt himself pail upon noticing one of the aforementioned Stardroids approaching.

"I might be Cyborg Bass but I still process things at regular human speeds, now book it! We have a rogue bot gaining ground on us!"

Risking a glance behind him Bass let out a yelp and proceeded to indeed book it. The one good thing about being a Robot Master is that as long as his power held out he never got tired, nor did he exactly need to breathe.

The latter part was probably a good thing as he let out a hysterical scream that inexplicably managed to help him move faster.

The pre-teen however was quiet as he hastily wrote a quick Email and sent it to a random clump of contacts of his. One of these was thankfully the Light family but he might have included a few other bots, a few companies of various interest, and one or two government agents.

Those latter ones were mainly people he had contacted in the past about various problematic Wily movements, amongst other things.

No need to let the German know he was accosted by them during that brief faze they thought he was his second coming. That was a long couple of days but thankfully ended with him coming out on top with a few therapist contacts amongst a few other things to help him keep the mad scientist out of trouble.

Suddenly finding himself in the escape pod he looked at the panting Bass and briefly looked around for someone. Not finding them he absently noticed the pod ejecting from the Wily Star and spoke.

"Bass, where's Treble?"

Suddenly freezing the black robot took a moment to realize this and slowly looked up in horror. Just before he could do something however a purple streak passed in front of the tumbling pod causing both of them to look out the window.

For the next minute the two of them just started unable to comprehend the sight even as the purple streak passed them three more times.

"Bass?"

"Yes Bryan?"

"Are you seeing what I am?"

"Yes… still working on believing it though."

"Agreed… nobody will believe us even with video, will they?"

"Nope… and I couldn't be prouder for him if he wasn't pulling this off on us."

Watching Treble pass them once more the two looked at the makeshift rocket that they could only assume the robot Wolf made himself. Uneven triangular pieces of cardboard were hastily duct taped to a rather large cylinder of some sort.

Attached to said cylinder half haphazardly was what looked like a rather long hose curled around it attached to some sort of cone at the end. On top was something that looked like a disassembled fire extinguisher nozzle that was helping to direct the thrust.

Holding on with three limbs with Treble with one limb holding the nozzle to help the thrust running. Just looking at him however revealed that it was only the vacuum of space that prevented them from hearing his howls of joy.

He obviously didn't have much control over the half haphazardly assembled craft but to the wolf it didn't matter. They were clearly having the time of their life on the crazy contraption and were planning on using it for all it's worth.

5.6 - In which, Tarkin is busy…

It was another one of the annoying wars and his creator was busy trying to stop their progenitors' crazy schemes. The amount of work the half-bot put into stopping the old fleshling was respectable but still an unwanted annoyance.

That said the fox had been left to his own devices in one of the secondary labs of the current fortress they were hiding in. Thus he started looking over the various parts and communities available in this particular area.

Who knows, he may be able to manipulate his creator in giving him upgrades more in line with what he wanted. Though in this case he might need to wait a bit for them to take a significant hit to the head again like last time.

With that in mind Tarkin quickly jumped up to the nearest box stacked on one side of the room and began rooting around in it. Maybe he should mention this to his creator one day?

They were wondering where he managed to find the minigun that he used to upgrade the fleshlings mech that one time.

There was a lot of stuff practically shoved into these secondary labs and promptly forgotten about. Why this was he had no clue but probably had something to do with Alberts heavily stimulated moments during a week-long inventing spree.

To think this wasn't even an eighth of what junk they had down here and most of it he found rather useless. Though it was impressive they managed to store so much into such a small area.

Now what exactly did they have in the other boxes that he could sort out?
