9.1 - Why Kalinka,

As much as Bryan valued his friendship with Kalinka Cossack there were times that he also detested her. Not enough to permanently end their friendship but enough that he looked the other way so the Wily bots could cause her some chaos.

Oh sure they had their different areas of interest with him being more into medical tech and her with recycling. But much like their respective families they could easily branch out into other areas if push came to shove.

Then one had to consider the fact that somehow the two of them ended up with something of a reputation for doing the impossible. No clue how that happened but the cyborg chalked it up to a possible side effect from being in close proximity to Wily and Light.

His mentor had the same reputation when paired with his old friend Thomas so it wasn't unexpected but even so, he drew lines at what could potentially happen. The cyborg blamed too much coffee for this as well, it made them much more impulsive and likely to do some odd things.

It also made whatever notes they created alongside their inventions much harder to understand and consequently to utilize, or potentially deactivate such as in this case.

Kalinka was busy laughing whether it be in hysterical fear or finding the situation a bit too funny for her own good. Then again it might be his own disgruntled look as he attempted to figure out what they had written down last night.

"It's not that funny Kal."

Speaking up the young teen ignored his voice as his friend let out a few more giggles of what he could now tell is amusement. Then again it might just be a coping mechanism for ignoring her own growing fear over the situation.

"I'm afraid it kind of is Bri."

Red eyes flicked up briefly to look over the blonde as the cyborg scowled before going back to the notes. Strong emotions tend to make his cybernetic eyes flicker to red for some reason but trying to fix that would require surgery that he was reluctant to do.

Perils of prototype technology unfortunately which, as he glances down at himself, was part of the problem they were facing right now. Seeing and feeling two small orbs of flesh on his chest, and reeling from how realistic it was, Bryan did his best to not freak out.

Then again thanks to a combination of biological, hologram, neural-interface, and who knows what else the cyborg was for intents and purposes a girl now. Therefore breasts weren't exactly that unusual and it wasn't like anyone would be able to tell as his voice matched his currently perceived gender.

Kalinka was also under the effect and therefore could be considered a boy with the only odd thing about them being their current hair styles. Also, from what he was seeing from the notes, it appeared that the suits were biologically viable which was all sorts of wrong for the male turned female.

Look, he had nothing against trans or other gender-nonconforming people but he himself didn't exactly like being one. Heck, he's directly created several bits of technology to actually help people in obtaining their correct bodies and a few that could technically be abused into helping but had no intention of undergoing the procedures necessary himself.

His cybernetics and the neural-interface utilized in connecting to them made such things much more risky than normal. For crying out loud he can be said to be non-conforming himself due to how many times Kalinka had dragged him to her cosplay-crossplay habits.

"So… any ideas on how to disengage the suits yet or?"

Ignoring Kalinka as she spoke, the cyborg attempted to figure out their scribbles that just barely counted as possible handwriting. They had clearly consumed too much caffeine when working on this project if said jerky overlapping scribble like writing was any indication.

With a small shake of his head Bryan was reluctantly coming to the conclusion that they may need to get some outside help. Something he was loath to do if only due to the ribbing he would get from everyone when it inevitably came out.

Deciphering one particular section told the pseudo-girl that the suit wasn't viable for long term use without significant health problems. Nor would it support pregnancies which was nice even if monthly visits were a thing due to its configuration.

Kalinka however was exempt as a pseudo-boy but that wasn't something he was particularly focused on. Another part he couldn't quite translate yet dealt with how the suit managed to seemingly compress the body without crushing them.

Or how in blazes certain parts managed to seemingly merge with organic matter of the human body without harm. That one alone he was particularly interested in if only for the potential implications in prosthetics or potentially clone limb replacements.

A moment later however Bryan let out a sigh and had to wonder what exactly Kalinka was doing as she moved around the room. His eyes stayed on the blueprints despite this and he placed a finger on one particular part in deep thought as he made out something involving a key.

At the very least his friend would probably get a kick out of this once they work it out for potential use in the cosplay industry. Though there might also be some use in the medical side as well, though whether it was psychological or otherwise would have to be determined by others first.

Suddenly however he felt a bit of metal pressed against the back of his neck and blinked in confusion as Kalinka did something with it. Seconds later she removed it and he winced in slight pain as the suit somehow seemingly compressed a bit, biting just that much more into his body, before relaxing.

Cossack's daughter then suddenly hugged him from behind by slipping her arms under his and rested her chin on his left shoulder. When she spoke however the cyborg stilled as he heard her actual voice instead of the vaguely masculine one that came with wearing the suit.

"It utilizes an external device with secure communications that connects to a chip roughly on the lower part of the neck and upper back of the wearer. Unfortunately the signal is rather weak causing the device to essentially need skin contact to register viable connections.

"Consequently you either have to pre-programmed what changes you want to happen or have a trusted friend help out.

"Unfortunately however each suit has a unique ID code that you have to sync with each control device or else none of them would work unless you re-sync them. Something that is technically possible but hard to do thanks to the user three phase authentication system and would require potentially specialized equipment."

Wily's apprentice turned their head slightly to look at the girl, noting that she indeed had removed her suit while they were busy examining the blueprints. Bryan blinked for a moment in apparent confusion before letting out a sigh upon noting his friend's mischievous smile.

"How long have you known and what did you just do?"

Kalinka giggled at the pseudo-girls exasperated voice but didn't bother stopping her hug, the cyborgs default state of being most days was exasperation. That said a moment later she relented but grabbed one of her friends upper arms and started dragging them along.

It always amused her that despite being a boy Bryan was just a tad bit shorter than her for some reason. Whether it was natural or because of his prosthetics she didn't know but the blonde was going to take advantage of this while it lasted.

Then again his parents were naturally short so she might end up taller than him anyways which was rather amusing.

"I left myself a note and found it within five minutes of waking up. As for what I did… turned up the realism/linking system and sent a copy of the ID to my Email before wiping the system of all settings."

She found her friend's eye twitch rather cute as he breathed through his nose for a bit in annoyance. A moment later however they exhaled in tiredness knowing that it was pointless to try and resist her.

"Cosplay then?"

Kalinka nodded as she led Bryan along and mentally compiled a list she was going to send to one of her other friends. The Russian then grinned, making the pseudo-girl obviously weary at the sight of it.

"There is a four day long convention in Moscow after which Rinna has invited me and a few other girls on a two month long cruise onboard her family's yacht. We can even hit two more conventions during that time and since Wily is in jail you won't have to worry about him.

"Especially since it looks like he's scheduled for some therapy during that time and isn't interested in escaping until afterwards."

Bryan winced in response to his friend's words but resigned himself to his coming fate and the consequential teasing. It was not the first time Kalinka dragged him to a convention, let alone had him cross during that time with a bunch of other girls.

It was a consequence to being one of her few friends, being rather infamous world over due to his connection with Albert Wily, and not wanting to be bothered/watched all the time whenever he went out. Unfortunately for him however he literally had no human friends beyond Kalinka due to his minder duties to a semi-mad scientist.

Thus she dragged him along to meet her own friends of which they were mostly just girls with only three having male siblings that rarely joined them.

Just because he was better with people than his mentor didn't mean he still had his own hangups. The cyborg was an introvert at best and rather quiet which was why most of his friends tended to be robots.

9.2 - In which, Wily and Eggman meat p3,

Bryan barley flinched as Metal Sonic attempted to intimidate him, the key word being attempted. He dealt with several homicidal beings already and came out as a cyborg as a consequence, punching the wall next to his head with one hand while the other's claws stopped an inch from his eyes was nothing.

Raising an eyebrow at the act he didn't bother to blink even if he instinctively wanted to at the action. That said, after a few seconds of staring he turned to look at the plotting forms of Wily and Ivo as they stood over whatever invention they were making.

He honestly had no clue what they were doing anymore and instead was half curiously browsing the security channels. Thomas was still doing good in his cell so he made a note to bring the man some food some time soon before turning to look at the blue hedgehog like machine.

Who was still trying to intimidate him, failing, realizing that he was failing, and getting irritated as a result. Good try admittingly but compared to half the stuff he dealt with daily this little display of visual violence was nothing.

Tails has already let the hero's know what's up and given them the required technical details he could slip them. Shadow was a backup plan and grudgingly accepted it once he broke the initial programming leaving only Espio to act as a potential double agent.

He kept a potential eye on Metal as they sulked off just in case but let out a sigh as boredom was starting to set in. One of the downsides he found during the wars, he tended to run out of projects or hobby ideas whenever they happened.

Normally he would shift to an over-watch position and help coordinate evacuations/help Rock out but that was rather impossible during this time. Maybe he could look over his armor or something and see about upgrading it in some way?

With a shake of his head he looked at the duo once again and grimaced in open annoyance at their manacle laughter. If only his plan to knock them out had worked then they wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

Pushing off the wall he started walking closer to them and took a glance at the current project in morbid curiosity. Nothing would appear as a potential hazard just yet so he nodded before turning around and heading to another table.

Tarkin reported that Metal Sonic entered his lab to investigate for any signs of deceit but he was meticulous in cleaning up. Probably a side effect of his prosthetics and hanging out with Robot Masters more often than not.
Sighing he pulled over a stool and sat down at the table to start fiddling with whatever scraps he could find.

As he absently fiddled with the scraps Bryan also went over a few security programs within the fortress. Nothing truly unexpected really and so far the surveillance of the hero group seemed to be showing everything fine on that end as well.

The Temporal Replicator that copied the Robot Masters was still running as expected which annoyed him but he couldn't do anything with that just yet. Eggman's creations were pointlessly wandering around as per normal and being slowly conscripted by the RM units.

It was at this point that Bryan stopped what he was doing and focused on the camera in his lab as Metal Sonic moved a panel he wasn't aware could be moved. The camera zoomed in and he couldn't help but activate the mic and speakers in his lab as he internally spoke.

"Why did Albert move the Cosplay stuff Kalinka gave me to there?"

Metal jerked seemingly in surprise before giving a glare at the nearest camera and giving him the middle finger. He ignored it while exploring the systems before letting out a physical sigh and resisting the urge to bang his head on the table.

"Feel free to tear that stuff up if you're interested, no clue why Wily put them there beyond the fact they might count as armored. Which… might actually be the reason, come to think of it.

"I should have realized that creating a cheap light plasma resistant cloth would come back to haunt me. Especially after sharing the recipe with a girl who's rather interested in Cosplay and likes to drag me into her hobby."

Staying quiet he watched as Eggman's machine looked over the various suits for a moment and seemed quite tempted to do as he suggested. Then they shook their head and tossed the costume, more specifically the Danny Phantom one, back inside the closet-like area before closing it up.

He said nothing else and just watched as the bot stomped the floor a few times before turning around and storming out. That done, Bryan disconnected from the system and sighed as he glanced down at the bracelets he had designed.

It wasn't anything special, just a minor emitter and storage system that could be utilized by Tarkin for holograms. Interesting but beyond that all he could tell was that it wasn't that good except for if he needed to potentially fake his death or something.

One more glance at Albert and Ivo later the cyborg let out a sigh of defeat and got up, it was nearing time for lunch for anyways. No need to let the good doctor languish because the villains forgot about him and he could use a good, relatively, sane conversation with another living being.

Walking away to the kitchen however the cyborg couldn't help but shiver for some inexplicable reason. He never noticed as Ivo Robutnik cast a calculating gaze at him and twirled his mustache in frustration.

9.3 - Who let Wily play video games?

Bryan let out a sigh of irritation and looked over the data that his sorta mentor had dumped on him. There was also a slowly building horror as with each moment he realized that these new designs were unlike any bots the German had built before.

A deep breath later he closed his eyes and counted back from ten with each number being from a different language. Opening them again he looked over the blueprints and let out a long tired sigh while resisting the urge to bang his head on the nearest hard surface.

He recognized some parts of the design and typed away on the computer a bit more to look over the prior iterations.

Initial work was always digital before Wily printed the final designs that would become his primary reference document. Once it came out however he would litter the document with additional notes and observations before finally archiving them.

This not only saved on proper archive quality blueprint paper but also lessened the chance of getting mixups with multiple copies of the same things. The doc was a bit of a hoarder and had to utilize a full staff of cleaning bots just to keep his various fortresses cleaned up.

That however did nothing to stop him from realizing his initial thoughts were correct. Resisting the urge to slam his head against the nearest hard surface the cyborg switched to an internal channel.

"So… anyone want to let me know who Wily got into Assassin's Creed?"

It was a special channel he utilized to chat with others since the regular one was so fast paced. Not that he didn't peek in on it from time to time or was ignored but the constant changing texts did give him a migraine if stared at for too long.

The following responses however were all negative and questions of what was happening to make him ask such a thing. In turn he just dumped an image of the current blueprints and sent an image to Blues asking him to check in on the Lights.

"?"

Resisting the return response Bryan went back to his work while writing out his reply.

"Willy seems to have gotten interested in Assassin's Creed if his newest creations is any indication. Please tell me that none of the Light bots have gotten him interested in the series.

"I do not need the stress that are assassin bots roaming around."

":("

Alright now he had to be messing with him, Blues rarely did this but when he did the original RM unit was in a cheeky mood. He was also sure the bot was observing him during these times, somehow, but had no proof.

"-\_o_/-"

Now Bryan did roll his eyes and responded with a picture of Roll wielding her broom. Then quickly sent his next picture of the blueprint of her next birthday present from him.

":O"

"Seriously, did anyone on your side get my mentor interested in Assassin's Creed or not?"

"No, now stop ruining my fun will you?"

Letting out a tired sigh the cyborg finished up his work and resolved to check with the Cossacks just in case. Instead he sent a picture of the liter size glass bottle filled with yellow-green powder with a peculiar pepper of the same color next to it.

":'D \o/"

It would be a pain to get on such short notice but the Pepper X powder was worth the crying smiley face from Blues. Maybe not the raised arms over head emoji since that did promise future retaliation but meh.

He was part of the Wily faction so things such as bribery and blackmail were part of the package really.

Though the how and why Proto likes spicy things eluded him. Bryan just knew enough to take advantage of it for his own benefit.

Still, he'd better misplace these blueprints for the time being. He already had enough headaches around here as it is, no need to add assassin bots to that mess.

9.4 - School problems,

Most kids go to some sort of school, whether it being online or actually entering a physical building. Bryan, before somehow becoming Wily's minder, was no real exception to this rule even if his last years in the regular environment were unusual.

Barring the one idiot, Nezu who has since moved to Japan out of shame, the teachers would sometimes remense about him. At least whenever he appeared on TV trying to keep the German mostly on the straight and narrow.

Some of the more memorable incidents would also get brought up amongst these remanences such as the first time Wily tracked him down.

Miraculously nobody was hurt when the entire wall was blown up and the boy's shock was shown enough for the world to see. Something so unlike his modern day exasperation/why-am-I-doing-this/my-life-why face he normally expressed during these incidents.

If one looked in the teacher's room they would see a picture of said shocked look, looted from their security cameras. Bryan would counter that picture with everyone else's expressions after he was kidnapped and Wily had his bots repair the damage so it looked like nothing happened.

The second time was memorable because of the confused look he sported upon a speeding car suddenly speeding pass with a Robot Master grabbing him along the way. One of his former classmates had a picture of that face which became a meme with the caption 'Wait, am I being kidnapped?' upon it.

There was also a famous picture they had where his most famous resting face first started to make an appearance. He had seen Wily coming in and without a word quickly stood up in the middle of math class, much to everyone's shock, and left.

Bryan had almost gotten detention for that, and into so much more trouble once he exited the building, before the Skull Craft had veered off its attack run.

He didn't even wait for Wily to say anything before opening the door and hopping inside like nothing was happening. Coincidentally he still had pictures from everyone's shocked look that day stashed away with his other photos.

Also their looks from when he was questioned afterwards about why he did such a thing and responded with. "I have been taken XX times from school and the building damaged each time. Why wouldn't I recognize the pattern and save everyone a headache by preventing it?"

Or at least it was something amongst that line, human memory could get rather faulty after a while but nobody could exactly blame him for such a thing.

Once he reached that point however it was universally recognized that he had something of a reputation. Good or bad was still debated but it was a reputation and Bryan still managed to get his homework done so everyone decided to overlook it.

The day that Albert Wily entered the school himself and announced his plan to kidnap the boy to the secretary was another amusing incident. They had taken one look at the half crazed Mad Scientist and decided it wasn't worth the headache of denying him.

The boy had a bemused look on his face upon all but being handed to the roboticist that day and his excuse of being kidnapped was written down on his record. The School Board might have tried to raise a stink about it but were presented video evidence of former incidents.

Combine that with the fact at this point the German was starting to calm down and the Government was willing to step in to help keep the peace. Though the fact his parents weren't saying anything had confused a few people but they had overlooked it at the time.

Another fun topic of conversation that came up was some of the more memorable incidents of Bryan's departures. Such as the one time he actually hopped out an open window on the third floor like it was an everyday occurrence.

Or that one time a skylight was opened and he without looking away from his conversation partner at the time reached up and grabbed the rope that was lowering down. He didn't even break conversation as he was lifted upwards and managed to say goodby before he left the building.

Another fun conversation amongst the staff of his old school was the seven times he was kidnapped by someone else other than Wily. There were, in order, Emerald Spears, Government, Emerald Spears, Kalinka Cossack, Thomas Light, Random Idiots, and for the third and final time Emerald Spears.

Ignoring the terrorist group the Government came because they had questions for him and were the most subtil of the groups. He was returned after being treated to lunch but was slightly off kilter for the rest of the day to nobody's surprise.

Kalinka Cossack had been more of a spur of the moment thing where he hadn't had time to reply or stop the Russian Girl. He was dragged to her first Cosplay Event due to the girl not recognizing that their individual countries had different vacation times.

If asked she was still rather embarrassed at that incident but remembered it fondly anyways.

The time with Doctor Light was memorable if only because the man had been suffering from a lack of sleep and was over-caffeinated. He might have also been doing it on a dare from Wily who was so taking advantage of his old friend in that state and recording it.

The only reason he didn't get in legal trouble for that was because Albert built a disposable bot that looked and acted just like him to take the blame. That was a secret between the big three to be taken to their graves but memorable either way for how surreal it was.

Finally came the incident that everyone labeled the Random Idiots who were attacking for some banal reason nobody could remember. They were supposed to be terrorists and had grabbed Bryan to hold at gunpoint during a live broadcast without knowing who he was.

Little to say Wily was pissed and sent his rather agreeable Robot Masters to help deal with the group. Those Idiots had the most amusing panicked look while right in the middle of the whole mess stood Bryan, arms crossed, head hung low, and pinching the bridge of his nose between his eyes.

He had the most painful look right then and that had spawned another meme with the caption 'I'm surrounded by idiots.'.

There were others but that was the most memorable meme he could be bothered to remember. It was probably then that he had gotten interested in medical stuff when several of his classmates had gotten hurt.

As for the Emerald Spears incidents, the first had honestly been random, second was an attempt to make him join them, and third was the time his parents got arrested. That last one was also the last time he had even bothered to enter school and not deal with Wily's special curriculum.

Still, while Bryan might rememess about these incidents the rare time he had nothing to do, he was mostly preoccupied with looking after his Mad Scientists of a Mentor. Mostly whenever a Robot Master bothered to ask him about it and wanted to know more about humans in school.

In truth he barely bothered with those memories, while nice he didn't have that many friends from back then. Mostly as a combination of being a bit of a loner and the many incidents that brought him into close contact with Wily.

9.5 - Project Infinity,

"You know, Wily wasn't always this way."

Speaking out loud Bryan slouched in his chair and looked up at the ceiling in deep thought. The Wily Fortress was oddly quiet at this time and strangely cold.

He normally didn't notice it since so much was going on but right now he was the only soul there right now alongside the still in construction bot. In truth the cyborg couldn't help but be caught up in a somber mood as he thought through Wily's latest actions.

The German had exploded in rage, something that had been growing in recent months, and had swept cleared a lab table with just his arms onto the floor. He had calmed down shortly afterwards but had left deciding that he needed to get some clean air.

"He wanted to help people, always has really. To keep people safe regardless of their nationality, race, beliefs, or anything else."

Memories flashed in his mind of getting to know the German, getting to know the real man behind the boisterous mask. A slightly crazy but well meaning person who could only connect to other people with a similar level of intelligence.

The hours spent in the lab looking over blueprints, chugging unsafe amounts of coffee, and throwing out made-up words trying to explain unexplored scientific fields. The amusing arguments that was their way of having fun in the moment during high stress situations, or just because they felt like it.

Bryan had lost count of the times both of them had ended up laughing after yelling out their frustrations and getting back to work while tossing about new ideas like they just hadn't fought together.

Letting out a tired sigh he started mentally counting the number of tiles he could see and spoke again.

"His dream had always been to build a Hero, one who could create a legacy the likes of the ones of old, Hercules, Cu Chulainn, Tamano No Mae, and so on."

The countless nights neither of them slept a wink so caught up in their current project until someone forced them to. Of the many times they had passed out and woken up with new additions drawn upon their faces in markers.

Then there was that prank war the RM Units had started, Wily had been an inadvertent casualty of it. Almost instantly afterwards his mentor had dragged him into the damn thing and gave as good as it got to his own creations.

Bryan's bots then got involved and the whole thing evolved into a week long everyone for themselves prank fest. It was amusing as hell at the time and only had stopped due some unknown energy readings their sensors had picked up

"Omega… Wily's sick in multiple ways, Brain Cancer being the most prominent. Came about because of his constant use of teleportation, and probably a bit of his early accident that created his mental instability.

"We're incredibly lucky that he managed to realize what was about to happen and dodge fast enough for a glancing hit from the radiation beam instead of a full on collision."

His mind turned over the facts from that incident, crunching the numbers as the cyborg tried to figure out what could have happened. Much like Thomas, his mentor Wily had been hit with a bunch of radiation that had left adverse effects upon him.

The radiation was a side effect of working out the cold fusion cores that power most Robot Masters nowadays and trying to build a Buster weapon. One little crossed wire and the gun had twisted the energy into an as of yet unknown type of radiation before letting it out in a blast.

It had self-destructed as a result of this and Wily had just barely been able to recognize the problem before it had been too late. They had been ridiculously lucky at the time that it didn't damage anything else and Albert had gone to the hospital almost immediately afterwards.

If the beam had hit dead on, if the German had been just that much later receiving medical attention, if the backup system hadn't recorded the sensor logs at the time? The world would have definitely been a different place by now, that's for sure.

Letting out a sigh of defeat Bryan glanced back at the pod containing the still in construction Project Infinity. He really should be doing some work but Wily's rage had shaken him just a bit more than he would like.

"That said Albert is of the opinion that something is coming, hence all the combat protocols were building into you. I never did figure out what he thinks is coming and has seen nothing to indicate it but…

"We've had contact with alien robots, machines from lost civilizations in the past, weird lion-like possible aliens, and things like Time Travel. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if something is, which might explain… all this, but till it happens I have nothing."

Alright now he's starting to feel lame, he had been building up to something great only to flop at the end.

Meh, he wasn't going to pull the all knowing card anyways if he could help it. It would only turn around and bite him at some future point knowing his luck.

Turning to look at the table now the cyborg reached out to pick up the screwdriver and started fiddling with something. His mind was busy sorting through many things that have happened and let out a sigh of exhaustion.

Standing up he stretched and turned to look at the pod in silent contemplation before shaking his head.

Stepping forwards Bryan got to work on another component on the Android with a tired sort of energy. His mind was moving with a sort of detached way that would have others looking at him with concern.

"Regardless of what he tells you Omega, know that you were built for the purpose of protecting people. You were built to be a sword, a shield, a monster to those you fight against, a beacon of hope for those you stand beside.

"Personally though… I hope that you never have to face combat, and not just because I'm a medic."

Going quiet the cyborg poked away with a deep contemplation as he let the words sink into the hopefully listening mechanical life form being built.

"There is a saying we humans have, if you want peace, prepare for war. All of us have only wanted to help people in our own ways.

"For you to live in peace, to never have to pick up a weapon… Never knowing the horrors of nightmares of those you lost or failed to save, to smile, laugh, cry tears of joy, to experience love.

"All of that and more is our hope for the future."

Finishing the new and improved Buster component Bryan moved over to the pod and got work installing it. Part of him couldn't help but feel amused that he talked of peace while building a weapon of war.

"But unfortunately we don't live in a world of butterflies and rainbows."

Once installed he looked over the designs of armor that the dubbed Omega would be covered in going forwards.

"Albert Wily is changing into a man he hates with all his being as his mind slips into madness."

Red eyes glared at complex computer code as the cyborg installed new combat protocols.

"We build you as a failsafe against those that would like to harm the world."

New servos were tested of higher durability yet lighter than modern ceramic alloys.

"One day you may need to stand against impossible odds to protect all you hold dear."

Bryan redefined his Auto Repair system to be more effective under even the most critical conditions.

"You may even have to strike down those that helped create you."

Wily's mind slipped even more even as Bryan stayed by his side watching the last moments of the good man.

"Will you have the strength to do what needs to be done?"

A shadow was caste on the pod of the designated Android, one of an one armed cyborg overlooking the final preparations.

"Whatever happens from here on out… know that we place our hopes and dreams of peace into you, Project Infinity, Omega, whatever name you choose for yourself going forwards."

Bryan never saw the pipe hitting him in the head before collapsing onto the ground with a heavy thud. Stepping over him was Shadow Man who's own red eyed gaze looked over him with sadness, yet filled with a heavy resolve.

"But whatever happens going forwards… find those that you hold dear young child, and protect them with everything at your disposal."

Complete darkness surrounded the pod as time passed and the world outside changed from what it once was.

"And one day… may we meet again in a better time… a better world that we can find true comfort in."

A century of darkness later a sliver of light was cast upon the ancient capsule activating its long dormant protocols. Its occupant would have a long journey going forwards but, somewhere deep within its processors, the Android remembers the words of its true creators.

Of how it had always been built for one thing, and one thing only.

"Who knows… maybe we might be the ones to build that world with our own hands."

To protect all those they hold dear.

"Now then… let's see what it takes to get you there, shall we?"

Vigor restored, Bryan got to work on another part of the Android, unknowing of how his words would impact the future. How the yet to be named Zero would go on to have great impacts on the world around them.

Nor how long it would take for the two of them to properly meet.

Then again… that story has yet to be written, disregarding the Time Travel paradoxes that is. But much like any true member of the Wily line, their meeting couldn't be anything but chaotic in nature.
