In the Baxter building one of the most well-known buildings in all of New York stood the home of the Fantastic Four, the first family as they were called. Each member of the group was doing their own thing at the moment. Reed was working in his lab like usual, Ben and Johnny were playing poker with the Avengers so that mostly left Sue alone at the moment, well not entirely alone.
Sue was 5 '6 with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She wore a white and blue costume with an orange stripe down the made with a blue four surrounded by orange in the center of her chest. Her suit was made with unstable molecules that helped her when it came time to use her powers.
She currently sat in the playroom Reed designed for her son. Watching him play with his little rocket ship as he imagines himself in it roaming the stars, looking for adventure. While Sue sat in thought watching as her son played she heard a robotic voice call out to her.
"Mrs.Storm your husband is here shall I let him in?" Susan hears from the computer in the room. This he H.E.R.B.I.E an A.I design by Reed to watch over the building.
"Of course H.E.R.B.I.E, let him in." Susan says to the A.I as the door to the room opens to reveal Sue's husband of six years walking into the room. Her husband had spiky blonde hair with sky blue eyes with little whisker birthmarks on his cheeks. He currently wore a blue button up dress shirt and tan slacks and shoes that match his pants. This is Naruto Uzumaki, a childhood friend of her brother Johnny. Sure it felt weird at first dating her brother's best friend. But after a few dates the two of them hit it off pretty well then after two years of dating they got married with the majority of the people they knew attending.
Wasn't too long after that their son was born. After seeing his father the small child immediately ran towards him while also trying not to fall. Watching his son rushing towards him the man kneels down and opens his arms, catching his son before pulling him into a hug.
"Hey Franklin. Did you watch over your mother while I was gone?" Naruto asks not giving his son a chance to respond before he immediately starts to tickle him.
"Dad, stop that tickles." Franklin says trying to stop his father.
"Nope, not until you give me a hug." Naruto says as Franklin hugs his father as tight as possible. The hug breaks as Sue walks over to her husband and kisses him on the lips.
"Hello dear, how were the classes today?"
"Could've been better, Jean and Remy almost blew up the school due to Remy insulting Jean's cooking. Then we had to stop classes due to another battle with Erik."
"Is everyone alright?" Sue asked in concern.
"Yeah he didn't harm any of the students and Colossus was visiting his parents so he was ok. Logan got hurt pretty badly but he seemed fine when I left." Naruto says placing Franklin down after noticing that he wanted to go back and play with his toys.
"How about you Sue, how was your day and where are the others?"
"It was good. Ben and Johnny are at Avengers mansion playing poker and you already know where Reed is." Sue says turning back towards their son.
"Yea I figured. Reed is a good guy but he spends too much time in the lab. Maybe we should get him a hobby."
"We tried that, remember? He didn't even pay us any attention. It took me telling him that the city was under attack before he finally did anything.""
"Right we barely got him to show up to our wedding. Hell, even Doom showed up. How is he anyway? I heard he finally proposed to Valeria" Naruto says, rubbing the back of his head.
"Doing well so don't be surprised if we get invited to Latveria. Ever since Victor earned Valeria's love he's been doing everything possible to keep her by his side."
"Well good for him he's earned a break. He and Reed still go back and forth don't they?"
"Oh yeah like an old married couple."
"So what do you wanna do tonight?"
"Oh right it's date night isn't it? I don't know, it would be nice to grab a nice dinner." Sue says
"Do you want anything in particular? I'm sure you're tired of all the fancy places I've been taking you."
"It's not even that. It's the fact that I have to disguise myself everytime we go out. I already feel ashamed for having to do it even though we've been together for so long."
"I know but you know how people treat mutants. I don't wanna tarnish you guys reputation by being a known associate with a mutant."
"I told you a thousand times I don't care if your a Mutant. You're more than that, you're my husband and Franklin's father. I just hope that one day soon the world will accept that."
"With everything going on between Charles and Erik I doubt it. These battles between mutants are only ruining things worse. I hate to say it but it's only a matter of time before they start hunting us."
"What will we do if things get that bad?"
"We? Sue I don't wann-"
"Listen here Mister." She says showing off her round blue Topaz engagement ring.
"I agreed to be with you for the rest of my life, til death do us part. That means until you die you're stuck with me and Franklin and all the other kids we are probably gonna have together, don't you dare think I'm gonna let you bare this alone, got it?" Sue says poking his chest with every single word, while Franklin, who didn't truly understand the situation, patted his father's leg.
"Thanks you two." He says rubbing his son's hair and kissing Sue on the lips.
"Ew, Mom, Dad thats gross."
Sue kisses back before breaking the kiss before turning to Franklin. "Gross? I'll have you know that what your father just did is one of the highest forms of showing love."
"It's still gross." Franklin says.
"Gross, I'll show you." Sue says grabbing her son and kissing him on the forehead. Franklin tries to struggle as Sue finally relents and lets go of her son who runs off to go play with his toys.
"Anyway Johnny and Ben should be back soon. We'll head out not long after, Ok?"
"Yes dear." Naruto says mockingly as Sue slaps his chest.
Time went by as the two watched and occasionally played with Franklin. Sue had left to change into an alternate outfit while waiting for Johnny and Ben. It wasn't long after that they arrived back at the Baxter building after a hot losing streak to the Avengers.
Johnny (Human Torch)Storm was Susan's younger by 8 years and also Naruto's childhood friend. Johnny had short blonde hair and blue eyes, the two of them were often confused as brothers as children not being helped by the fact that they were pretty much always hanging out. He wore his classic superhero outfit but covered it by wearing a trench coat.
Benjamin (The Thing) Grimm was a man with a rocky personality(I'm sorry) which didn't help that he was covered in orange rock and wearing blue and white pants.
"I'm telling you Ben. Hawkeye cheated, how else would he have been able to call my bluff?"
"It doesn't matter now. We lost Johnny acceot it."
"Hey boys, how was game night?" Sue asks
"It sucked we lost at Poker and Ben got his ass- I meant butt kicked by the Hulk." Johnny said changing his words after getting a scolding look from his big sister.
"He cheap shot me match-stick. He wouldn't have won any other way." Ben says with annoyance.
"Man, we really could have used you, Naruto. Why didn't you come?"
"Because: 1, because I had classes to teach today. 2, because you, Clint, Tony, forbid me from game night for the next 4 game nights after you claimed I was cheating and using the devil's luck and 3, I wanted to spend time with my wife and son." Naruto says holding up three fingers matter of factly.
"You did cheat how the he- I mean how else would you have gotten a royal flush 4 times in a row." Johnny says avoiding his sister's wrath.
"Does it matter you were gonna lose anyway. I'm sure T'Challa was there. He's almost as lucky as I am seeing as he's got a divine blessing. He probably just took the money and gave it to some charity."
"So what are you two gonna do now?" Sue asks
"Well the poker and fight really soured my mood so I'm just stick around for a bit."
"Great, can you watch Franklin for a little while.
"Date Night?"
"Yep."
"Aww, come on sis. I was supposed to be hanging out with a hottie soon."
"Actually Johnny she was asking Ben."
"Yea knowing you the kiddo is gonna be the babysitting you if we left the two of you alone." Ben says, causing all the adults except Johnny to laugh.
"We should be back in a couple of hours. Be sure to call if anything happens."
"Be good for your Uncle Ben, Ok?" Naruto says rubbing his son's hair.
"Ok I will." Franklin says
"Good, we'll be back soon and good luck on your date Johnny." Naruto says waving as the couple leave the room.
"So did you actually have a date tonight?"
"No. She turned me down." Johnny says depressingly leaving the room in shame.
"Well kiddo it's just you and me. What do you wanna do?"
"Tell me about all the times you beat up the Hulk." Franklin says in childish wonder, causing a smile to appear on Ben's rocky face.
Sue POV
She didn't like having to do this. Wearing a disguise every time they went out for a date, but Naruto assured her that it was better this way. The Fantastic Four were a group of public superheroes and he didn't wanna damage the group's reputation by being seen with a mutant. It really grinded her gears the way the world treated her husband and those like him, but it worried her more due to Franklin gaining his own mutation one day. She had nightmares about the day that everyone around them would turn their backs on them the day Franklin would be revealed to have the X-Gene.
Naruto told her that day would never come. Because he wanted to make the world understand mutants that they were human too where they can be accepted for who they are. He believes in Xavier but also knows that Erik is right, at least that's what he told her. But he still desired to choose peace instead of violence its why he joiwell-received and teaches at the X-Mansion. Still wearing this disguise annoyed her to no end. It didn't look good in her eyes too much maje up, a pair of large shades and a trench coat and a matching brim hat.
As they walked towards the restaurant noticed Naruto gng stares due to his reputation as a mutant getting scowls and looks of disgust. Susan's eyes filled with rage as her hands radiated a faint blue glow in anger. Just as she was about to say something she felt Naruto squeeze her hand bringing her back in line.
"Calm down, we're almost there." Naruto whispers to her. She takes a breathe
As they made it tlust-filledurant Sue noticed that it wasn't bad looking. Normally Naruto would rent out a nice and quiet place for them to eat in private but this actually looked like a decent place. it wasn't a big place but it seemed like a decent sized building as they walked towards the door Sue noticed a sign on it that said Mutant Friendly which honestly surprised her. As they walked in they saw a large array of people both mutant and regular eating and working there.
"Welcome to Mutant Brewing, how my I- Oh it's you." a Middle aged man says walking towards the couple.
"Ian, how's your wife?"
"She's doing great. C'mon I got a table ready just for you."As Ian takes them to their table Sue looks around in astonishment. Making sure not to bother anyone with her constant staring.
"Alright here you two are. Is there anything I can get you?"
"Actually, if you don't mind, can I ask a few questions?"
"Of course, go right ahead."
"How did you meet my husband?" Sue asks in curiosity.
"Well the first time we met he saved my family from being attacked by sentinels. Your husband managed to save us from being crushed under the rumble of our home."
"Wait, if you were attacked by a sentinel does that mean you or your wife ate mutants?" She asks
"Our twin daughters actually. They have super intelligence thanks to their mutation. After he saved us he managed to convince me and my wife to let our daughters attend the school in the X-Mansion. Speaking of which, how are they?"
"Doing great, actually passing all their classes, running Dr.McCoy mad with their experiments but he enjoys their company."
"Well that's good and glad to hear they haven't burned down the school yet." Ian says with a small chuckle.
"Meh, even if they did, it wouldn't be the first time the school caught on fire. And I doubt it would be the last, but you have my assurance that me and Dr.McCoy will watch over Susan and Mary and that you and Kathreen can visit them whenever you wish."
"Thank you, but anyway what can I get you two lovebirds? Any drinks?"
"I'll have Sweet Tea/Same."
"Alright I'll be back with your drinks."
"You can take your disguise for now. Not that many normal people come here which is a shame because the food is pretty good." Naruto says while taking off his coat.
Sue responds by taking off her hat and glasses letting her long blonde hair freely flow onto her back. "About time that disguise was getting annoying."
"Sorry Sue but you can never be too sure."
"Sigh, I understand I just wish we didn't have to be so secretive about our marriage. The only people that know I took your last name are us, Reed, Johnny, Ben, and some members of the X-men along with Victor." Sue says, waving her hair around.
"Me too! But it won't be like that for long. Things will get better"
"But what if it doesn't? I told you I'd be with you the rest of our lives but what about Franklin? If he gains his powers he'll have us but will have to grow up in a world that hates him. I think we should leave New York, I mean the others would understand right. We can leave and find a nice enough place where we won't have to worry about Franklin gaining his powers. At the very least keep him uninvolved in the battle between Charles and Erik." Sue says, placing her hands on the table.
Naruto places his hands over hers in an attempt to calm her down. "Susan I promise you if things get any worse we'll leave. But Erik won't keep fighting forever. Out of everyone in this war he's the one that's the most tired especially after Genosha." Naruto says not even needing to explain.
"Maybe he can try again. A second Genosha might actually work this time."
"I doubt he'd risk it again but if I get the chance I'll ask him about it. But I'm afraid I won't like his answer." Naruto says.
"Drinks are here. Sorry for taking so long but I brought some appetizers." Ian says placing down the drinks and plate full of breadsticks.
"Now is there anything I can get you two to eat?"
"I'll have a Lobster roll on it."
"And I'll have today's special."
"Alright one Lobster roll and one Double smash burger coming up."
"I'm surprised he didn't say anything about me being here." Sue gestures to the disguise she had taken off.
"That's because Ian doesn't really care. A customer is a customer to him, we've had enough serious talk for now. Let's try to enjoy the rest of our date." Naruto says.
"You're right! We should enjoy this before something happens." Sue says starting to finally relax. Right on queue Ian returned with the couple's food, setting it down in front of them.
"Sorry for taking so long. Here are your orders. I hope you enjoy them and please let me know if you two need anything." Ian says receiving thanks from the couple walking away from the table leaving the two of them alone once again.
"Let's dig in." Naruto says, picking up his burger while Sue picks up one of the rolls before taking a bite.
"Hmm, this is pretty good." Sue says after taking another bite not noticing a small piece of lobster left on her lips. Naruto laughs confusing Sue before pointing at his lip right where the Lobster would be. Sue pokes the spot Naruto is gesturing too before using her finger to eat the small amount of lobster.
"That good huh?" Naruto asks, watching her take another bite.
"Mmhmm." Sue nods, finishing off the roll.
As the date continued the pair sat there and talked about random things going on. They paid their bill and said their goodbyes and showed their appreciation to Ian before leaving the restaurant.
"That was a nice place. We should go back there for our next date night."
"Yea we should. Ian did say we are always welcome there."
"Well he just earned himself another loyal-." Susan stops mid sentence causing Naruto worry.
"Susan what's wrong?"
"Naruto, look at your hand." Susan says pointing down at Naruto's arm.
Naruto brings his hand closer to his face to see what's going on. As he looks it over he notices that it's starting to disappear before he say anything he notices that the same effects are happening to Sue.
"Susan, it's happening to you too." Naruto says to his wife. As the effects spread all over their bodies they start to disappear. They hold each other tight as they fade away leaving the streets of New York empty and quiet.
Pov Change
Susan Richard's stared out the window of the Baxter Building. Watching the newly rebuilt city of New York thrive. It's been over a few months since the defeat of Doctor Doom and stopping the TimeStream Entanglement he caused from getting any worse, almost everything was back to normal. The fighting and rebuilding was over, Galacta and the Master Weaver were fixing Doom's mistake. Right now everyone was spending as much time as they could with their loved ones.
"Sigh, except Reed." She says to herself as she looks over at the atomic clock Reed installed during Dracula's rise; it was now 8:30pm. After Dooms defeat Reed immediately holed himself into his lab working on a way to fix things even though he was told that it was handled. But of course Reed believed he could fix it by himself not knowing if he were to make things better or worse. He hadn't even seen the kids since this started. And it wasn't just them he was neglecting but her too the last time he even touched her intimately was before Valaria was born. Sure he gives her little kisses now and then but sometimes that wasn't enough.
As Susan lets out another sigh before she hears something coming towards her. It's just H.E.R.B.I.E, the first family's little robot helper currently bringing her a steaming cup of herbal tea.
"Thanks H.E.R.B.I.E." Susan says taking the glass from him and inhaling the gentle aroma coming from it.
"Of course Mrs.Richards. If I may ask, is something the matter?"
"No, I was just wondering how long has Reed been in the lab working on his new project?"
"By my estimate Mr.Richards has been working for over 66 days, 17 hours, 5 minutes, and 3 seconds and counting."
"Yea I figured. How are Franklin and Val?"
"Master Franklin and Mistress Valaria are busy finishing up their homework at the moment. It won't be long now until it is time for bed."
"And Franklin didn't try to reprogram you into doing it for him again did he?"
"I believe he wanted to attempt to do so but I needed to leave before he could try,"The small robotic AI replied.
"That sounds like Franklin." Susan chuckles.
Right before anything else is said, alarms go off from Reed's lab alerting everyone in the Baxter building causing them to rush to the lab. After making the children stay in their rooms until told otherwise Susan arrived at her husband's lab to help figure out what's going on. When she entered she already saw a large pile of smoke and Johnny and Ben who looked ready for a fight.
"Suzie, you know what's going on?" Ben asked her.
"Well knowing Reed he either made a solution to an old problem or created a new one all together. " Susan says.
As the dust cleared Reed walked out of the smoke coughing before pressing a button to disperse the smoke. The other members of the Fantastic Four immediately ran to check on Reed.
"Darling are you ok?"
"Yes Susan I'm fine, but more importantly I wanted to test my newest invention."
"That's great, mind telling us what it does." Johnny asked
"Oh right. Well you all know that I don't fully trust Galacta or the Master Weaver with sending everyone back to their proper timelines?"
"Yea what about it?"
"Well I managed to create a machine that would be able to send everyone back to their proper homes. What you just witnessed was a first test trial."
"Reed, please don't tell me you managed to trap some random people here in our own timeline."
"Of course not the machine overheated so no should-" Reed would've finished if not for a bright blue light appeared next to Reed machine blinding the first family.
As the light faded and the group regained their senses they noticed something amiss. Two people, one who they'd never seen before and another who looked like a younger version of Susan, stood before them. Not even noticing the four of them, the couple started to check themselves over.
"Sue, are you ok?"
"Yea I'm fine but where are we?"
"I believe I can answer that." Reed says drawing their attention.
"Reed, you look different, and older, what the hell happened?" Naruto asks, still holding onto Sue.
A few minutes later
Naruto, Sue and the majority of the Fantastic Four sat in the living room with the exception of Reed who went back to work in the lab.
"So your name is Naruto and we're best friends in your universe?"
"Yea we basically grew up as brothers for the first half of our lives." Naruto says
"You're also a mutant who teaches at Charles Xavier Institute?" Ben asks
"Correct."
"And you're also married to your universe's version of me?" Susan asks
The couple doesn't bother to respond but instead Naruto pulls out his wallet showing pictures of him and Sue during their wedding day. (If you want a description, think of the photo taken during the MVP of The Life Fantastic of Invisible Woman and Mr.Fantastic in Marvel Rivals. And from now on Sue will be referring to the 2006 Fantastic Four Tv show while Susan is referring to the Marvel Rivals version) While Sue shows off her engagement ring.
"That was one of the happiest days of my life." Naruto says putting the pictures away as Sue holds his hand.
"I know the wedding was fantastic. It almost didn't feel real." Sue says, turning to the others.
"Is something wrong?" Sue asks
"No, sorry it's just-" Susan says before she's interrupted.
"Well every other version of sis we've met she's been married to Reed. Well that and we've never seen him before." Johnny says gesturing towards Naruto.
"The matchstick is right, you're the first version of you we've ever encountered so it's taking a bit to get used too." Ben says
"I understand. Well, is there anything I can do to prove I'm not a bad guy?" Naruto asks, causing Johnny to smile before he looks over to Ben.
"I think I've got an idea. Follow me!" Johnny says leaving the room with both Ben and Naruto following to see what kind of mischief Johnny is planning to exit the room leaving just the two blonde haired women.
"Good to see Johnny is the same no matter what timeline." Sue says
"Yeah I doubt anything could change him."
"Do you mind if I ask a few questions?"
"Of course, as long as you don't mind if I do the same?"
"When did you two first meet?"
"Naruto's family lived close to us when he and Johnny were boys. They met each other at school and became fast friends. When Johnny found out Naruto lived a few houses down from our boarding house they borderline became brothers. Always visiting each other, causing chaos for me and Aunt Dinkins, but I was glad that Johnny had a friend. Alright my turn, how is your marriage with Reed going?" Sue asks
"It's great. Our marriage is going strong and the kids are growing fast."
"Kids as in more than one?"
"Yep, our son Franklin and daughter Valeria."
"I see Franklin is our son's name too, but what made you name your daughter after Victor's fiance?"
"That's because Victor named her, wait Valeria is alive in your timeline?"
"Yeah why wouldn't she be?"
"Victor sold her soul to a demon here."
"Oh my god that's awful and you let him name you daughter?"
"I kinda had to. Reed wasn't around, giving birth to Val was more dangerous than expected. Johnny managed to stroke Victor's ego enough to get him to show up and save our lives."
"Where was Reed?"
"He was working on another project." Susan sighed in disappointment.
"Wait, he missed the birth of your child to work in his lab, sounds like Reed. Y'know we barely got our Reed to show up to our wedding."
"Really?"
"Yeah, it makes me kind of glad that I married Naruto in the end." Sue says
"Don't get me wrong Reed is an amazing father to the kids when he has time."
"But how is he treating you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Look I didn't wanna say anything with the boys here but does Reed neglect you?"
"No, he's just- Susan." Sue interupts her counterpart.
"Look we are the same person we may have lived different lives, we may be different ages, and have different husband's but we are the same person in the end. There's no need to lie to me."
"Sigh, to be honest he hasn't even touched me sexually since our daughter was born. Almost 9 years ago now?"
"How have you managed for so long?"
"Wasn't easy! It's New York after all so a new threat needed to be stopped so that mostly kept me going, plus the kids and H.E.R.B.I.E, and a little bit of Johnny and Ben."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's alright, I swear there were times where I questioned everything about myself about borderline throwing myself at him. Maybe I'm not attractive to him anymore. Maybe it's me after all." Susan says depressingly.
"Now, now don't say that. You're a very beautiful Susan and you've done well for yourself after having 2 children." Sue say patting her counterpart on the shoulder.
"Thank you. So when did you know Naruto was the one for you?"
"It all started after my first encounter with Namor. Johnny and I were enjoying spending a little sibling time together when Namor appeared declaring war on the surface world."
"Classic Namor move."
"So Johnny with all his bright ideas started a fight with him and pissed him off."
"Naturally!"
"Johnny lost and just as Namor was about to kill Johnny I offered to trade my life for his. Namor accepted and took me to Talokan. Not long after arriving Namor claimed to want to make me his wife. By this point me and Naruto were already dating so when he found out he stormed Atlantis looking for me.
Flashback
It's the middle of Namors throne room where Sue was being forcefully bound against Namor's throne as the Sub-Mariner stood before her.
"You are brave Susan Storm but you must come to a decision. You have 24 hours to accept my offer or I shall flood the surface world behind the waves."
"Namor you can't do that. It isn't right."
"What isn't right is that my kingdom suffers due to the surface world's actions.
"But Namor-
"Enough you test my patience, utter one more word and the surface drowns." Namor yells before the door to his throne room is blasted open by a blast of air.
"Who dares disturb the King?"
"A very pissed off boyfriend that's who."
"You must either be a brave or foolish air-breather to be standing up to the king of Atlantis." Namor said
"I like to think I'm a bit of both. But you'll never know." Naruto says holding out another bolt.
"You dare threaten a king.
"No, I'm threatening a piece of shit who nearly killed my best friend and kidnapped my girlfriend."
"That fool of a child thought he could defeat me. So I showed him why I rule the sea. And Susan should be honored that a king would choose her to be his bride."
"Well you're a terrible king if your first move is to start a war and kidnap someone else's lover."
"I see. So if I defeat you then Susan will be mine. Fine then I challenge you for Susan's hand. Face me if you dare." Namor says preparing to fight by brandishing his trident.
"Fine then, bring it on." Naruto says
"Imperius Rex." Namor yells swimming towards Naruto trying to impale his helmet before Naruto dodges the stab punching Namor in the face knocking him back before Naruto kicking him in the chest.
Namor roars before spinning his spear, creating and throwing a huge blast of water at Naruto who dodges.
"Damnit Majority of my elemental abilities are useless underwater. Guess I'll just have to wing it. Naruto thinks to himself dodging another blast of water.
Getting annoyed Namor throws his spear towards Naruto who jumps backwards before being tackled onto the ground by the sub-mariner who proceeds to punch at Naruto's head and chest. Namor continues to punch at Naruto's helmet causing it to crack before being uppercutted then blasting Namor back with a large blast of air.
"Dammit not now." Naruto says as the cracks start to spread throughout the helmet. As the cracks started to spread farther and farther. Thinking quickly Naruto takes a deep breath before punching Namor in the stomach then in the face knocking him on the floor as his helmet shatters. Naruto picks up Namors trident aiming it at the king's neck.
Sue gasps in shock as Naruto's helmet breaks filling her with worry as Naruto stands over Namor. Even without the ability to speak, Naruto's message was clear. He had Namor at his mercy and Namor knew it. So with a heavy heart he admitted defeat. "I yield."
Naruto lets Namor up before he starts to run out of air. Letting the underwater king walk towards his throne before pressing a button in his throne allowing the water to drain from the room. He immediately frees Sue afterwards causing her to rush towards Naruto who was still gasping for air.
"Naruto, are you ok?" Sue asks ask as she helps Naruto onto his feet.
"I'm ok."
"You have defeated me, warrior. And for that you have my word and my blessing. I shall not attack the surface world unless necessary ,but I have a request. I wish to know the name of the warrior who defeated me."
