Cora knew she was in trouble. She should've listened to her dad. She got a pit in her stomach as she followed Eric up the stairs.

"Hey, I thought you said we were going to the kitchen?"

Eric led Cora by the hand towards a darkened bedroom. She stopped in her tracks and did her best to will her feet to stay in place. Eric smirked at her.

"Would you relax? I just want to show you something in my room."

Cora shook her head.

"I think we should go back downstairs."

Eric gave her a look.

"Come on. There's nothing to be nervous about. I just want to show you how cool my ceiling looks with my star lamp."

Cora seemed to relent a little and followed Eric into his bedroom. He closed the door and smiled at her in the dim light.

"Let's look at it from the floor."

Cora lies down next to Eric and looked up at the ceiling.

"I wish we could see this many stars outside. But there is too much light for us to see them in the city."

Sitting up slightly, Eric smiled at her, and she smiled back. She felt this invisible pull and then she found herself sharing a kiss with him. It was nice. It was a nice feeling. She was too busy living in her fist kiss to notice where one of his hands was on her leg. She broke the kiss and pushed him away.

"No! Stop! Don't touch me!"

Eric looked at Cora and frowned.

"What? Don't you like kissing?"

Cora bolted from the bedroom and found the nearest bathroom, locking herself inside. Turning the fan on so no one would hear her crying. Pulling out her phone she dialed a number.

"Daddy! I messed up! I need help!"

From the other end of the phone, Cora could hear stress in her dad's voice.

'Cora honey, where are you? What's that loud music?'

Cora continued crying and wedged herself between the tub and the toilet.

"Daddy! I'm sorry! I went to Eric's party. Please come get me! I'm scared!"

"Honey, it's dad. Please open the door."

Jamie tried his best to not sound panicked. The party had been shut down and all the parents had been called. Apparently, a neighbor had called to make a noise complaint. Cora slowly got up from her spot on the bathroom floor and unlocked the door. No sooner had she, the door opened, and she launched herself into Jamie's arms.

"Daddy! I'm so, so sorry! I should've listened to you!"

Jamie hugged her tight for a minute or two and then pulled away. Worry and concern washed over him.

"Did he hurt you?"

Cora broke down in tears again and explained herself so fast, Jamie was having trouble keeping up.

"Daddy! I'm sorry! He said we were going to the kitchen and then we went to his room to look at the stars on the ceiling and we started kissing and… and then one of his hands was on my leg and then I pushed him away and told him stop and not to touch me. He asked if I liked kissing and then I ran from the bedroom and locked myself in the bathroom! Daddy! I'm so so sorry!"

Jamie felt his heart sink and then break as the last of Cora's sentence came out. Eddie showed up in the doorway. Cora then let go of Jamie and hugged Eddie.

"Mommy! I'm so so sorry. I should've listened to you and daddy! I'm sorry!"

Jamie and Eddie exchanged looks and took in Cora's appearance. Eddie asked the same question Jamie had.

"Did Eric hurt you?"

Cora's bottom lip trembled.

"I told him no and to stop and not to touch me. Then I locked myself in here."

Eddie sat on the edge of Cora's bed and ran a hand through her dark curls. She was glad Cora was ok. No physical damage. Medically speaking anyways. Much to Jamie and Eddie's relief. Jamie sat on the other side and planted kisses to her forehead.

"Try and go to sleep baby girl. You're safe. I promise."

Cora looked up at Jamie and held her tears back.

"So, you're not mad at me?"

Jamie sighed.

"Oh, your still grounded young lady. Sneaking out and going to that party was going against my better judgment. Although I am proud of you for defending yourself and saying no. No means no. Any boy who tries to convince you to do something that makes you uncomfortable or making you do something you don't want to do is absolutely unacceptable. You say no every single time. You're safe now."

Cora nodded and found herself getting sleepy. She wasn't going to be thinking about boys anytime soon.
