TW: Thank you.
Just Visiting: Trouble brewed a while ago. Must be. Yep. You'll see on Bobbi.
Watchtower
Morning
Chloe was at the computer, typing away when Oliver and Logan walked in.
"Hey, you two get anything out of Nylander?" Chloe asked and they didn't respond, merely exchanging a grim look. "That bad, huh?"
"You have no idea," Logan muttered as Oliver walked over to her, handing her a flash drive.
"Plug that in, then call Barry. We're gonna need him sooner rather than later," Oliver said grimly.
Keystone City

"Do you think I'll be ready? To face Thawne?" Barry asked as he and Jay sat down to breakfast in a dinner.
"No," Jay said honestly. "Maybe if I had a few more weeks with you…but Thawne and Darkseid aren't going to wait that long."
"So no matter what, Thawne is going to beat me," Barry said sourly.
"I didn't say that," Jay said and Barry looked up at him. "You can't beat him one on one. But you won't be alone, kid. Whatever happens, your friends will be there with you."
Barry was silent as he thought this over before his phone started ringing. Pulling it out, he saw it was Chloe before answering it.
"Chloe?"
New York, Oscorp
Not long after
"And this is where you'll be working," Harry said as he led Peter into a lab. "You're starting out at the bottom as a research assistant, but we all have to work our way up."
"It's fine, Harry. I'm just grateful to have a job," Peter said honestly.
In more ways than one. Only by being inside Oscorp could he get to the bottom of this mystery, find a way to take Norman down. For his parents.
"Harry."
Harry and Peter looked up as a man with dark, greying hair walked over to them.
"Otto. Sorry to keep you waiting," Harry apologized.
"It's fine, Harry. I assume this is my new research assistant," Otto noted as he eyed Peter, who stepped forward, offering his hand.
"I'm Peter, Peter Parker, sir. It's an honor to meet you," Peter said and Otto smiled amused as he shook Peter's hand.
"No need to call me Sir, Otto will do just fine. I hope you know that I won't give you any special treatment just because you're the boss' friend," Otto warned as they dropped hands.
"I know, I'm prepared to earn my place here," Peter said earnestly and Otto smirked.
"I hope so. Let me show you around and then we can get started," Otto said, putting a hand on Peter's shoulder and leading him into the lab.
Harry smirked at the scene before he turned and walked out of the room, feeling that things were as they should be.

Barry and Jay walked in, finding the others already assembled; looking at something Chloe had brought up on the screen.
"Is that what I think it is?" Barry asked, paling as he saw the blueprints.
"If you think it's a bomb, yes," Natasha said grimly.
"That's Prometheus' endgame. We got the blueprints from Nylander after some…persuasion," Oliver said and no one needed any elaboration to know how they got this from Nylander.
"Wilson and his crew stole two plutonium cores, which can apparently be used to arm this thing," Logan added.
"If I understand these right…this thing has more fire power than the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. It could take out all of Metropolis," Chloe explained, to the horror of everyone in the room.
"And that's not the worst part," Tess said, continuing where Chloe left off. "There are two cores, meaning there are two bombs. Any attempt to defuse one bomb automatically triggers the other."
"So once they're armed, the bombs can't be disarmed," Sam noted and Tess nodded.
"Still not the worst part though," Tess said as Chloe brought up an image of a radio receiver.
"The countdown is started by a remote detonator, which also acts as a failsafe. Once the countdown starts…it can't be stopped," Chloe said and a long moment passed, all of them processing this news.
"And you guys have an idea how to stop it?" Ronnie almost pleaded.
"We're working on it. That's actually what Tess and I wanted to talk to you about, Professor Stein," Chloe said as they turned to Stein. "You're an expert in Nuclear Fusion. Anything you can tell us about this would be appreciated."
"I will do what I can Ms. Sullivan, Ms. Mercer, but bombs were never my area of expertise," Stein noted as he walked up to the computer, beginning to study the schematics.
"In the meantime, finding Prometheus just became one of our top priorities. Oliver, Logan, did Nylander know his target?" Steve asked, easily assuming the role of leader.
"No. Kane kept that part to himself. We need to find him, before it's too late," Oliver said grimly.
"Clark sure picked a Hell of a time to skip town. Where'd he go, anyway?" Sara wondered.
"Home," Chloe said simply but didn't elaborate.
Fortress of Solitude
Not long after
Clark looked around the Fortress, remembering the last time he had been here. He could still see the spot where his mother and father had been as Jor-El relayed the message to him. He was so lost in thoughts he almost didn't hear someone else enter the Fortress.
Almost.
"Kal-El," Clark turned around to see Kara, smiling slightly at the sight of her.
"Kara," Clark said as the cousins shared an embrace.
"I didn't expect to get your call," Kara said as they pulled back. "What's going on, Kal-El?"
"Things have escalated. Have you found out anything about Darkseid, anything at all?" Clark asked.
"Not much, unfortunately. He leaves traces through earth's history, but nothing concrete," Kara said, to Clark's dismay. "Kal-El, I think it's time you catch me up to speed."
Avengers Compound

"All traitors. Every last one of them," Tony muttered as he stared at holographic images of his former teammates, now including Rhodey and Vision. "But they'll see. I'll make them all pay."
"Boss, I found something on the facial recognition," FRIDAY piped up, the images of the former Avengers replaced by an image of Rhodey and a disguised Vision in a taxi. "This was taken ten minutes ago by a traffic camera in Metropolis."
"Send me the coordinates, now," Tony said, shutting off the holograms.
Ten minutes later, Tony, dressed in his new Iron Man suit, flew off, heading towards Metropolis.

Logan was taking a drink of coffee, putting it down as he let out a sigh. He still preferred beer. But he needed to be focused for today. It was only a matter of time until Kane called to taunt Oliver. Then, they would know where he was keeping Bobbi.
"Let me guess, you want a beer?" Logan chuckled as Rogue walked in and sat down next to him.
"God yes, but today would not be a good day to get drunk," Logan said and it was silent for a long moment.
"With everything going on, we haven't really had a chance to talk. About…everything," Rogue said lamely and Logan chuckled humorlessly.
"You mean about my long lost daughter?" Logan asked bluntly and Rogue didn't respond. "Turns out, I'm a father. Even with all these memories in my head…still can't believe it."
"I can," Rogue said, shooting Logan a look and it was silent for a moment as Logan decided whether he wanted to open that can of worms.
But one father/daughter relationship was all he could handle right now.
"What's up with you and the Cajun?" Logan asked instead, taking a sip of coffee as Rogue tensed.
"Nothing," Rogue denied quickly, too quickly and Logan merely raised an eyebrow. "It's nothing! He just gets under my skin."
"From what I remember, Dinah used to get under my skin," Logan said with a laugh.
"It's not the same thing Logan. I can't…nothing can ever come of it," Rogue said, thinly veiled misery in her voice and Logan was silent for a long moment.
"Eventually, you're gonna have to stop using your powers as an excuse not to get hurt," Logan said and she whirled around on him. "It eats you up you can't touch people. So rather than letting people get close, you shut them out, using your powers as an excuse. But some things are deeper than skin, kid."
"Not this. You have no idea how much it hurts. To want to be with someone but your powers make it impossible," Rogue said sounding on the verge of tears.
"And you put a wall around your heart. I'm the same way, kid. But if you're alone…you'll never truly be happy," Logan said, getting to his feet. "You deserve to be happy, Rogue. In whatever way you can."
Logan then walked out of the room, leaving Rogue alone, his words haunting her.
In another room that had been designed for physical training, Oliver was taking out his frustrations on a training dummy when he paused, letting out a deep breath before speaking.
"For a speedster, you walk very loudly," Oliver mentioned as he turned to the sheepish Barry.
"Iris used to call me Big Foot Barry when we were kids," Barry said and a beat passed between them. "You okay?"
"Not really. I just hate the waiting game. Every second Kane has Bobbi, who knows what he could be doing to her," Oliver said with a sigh as he ran a hand through his hair.
"I won't pretend to know anything about her, or what you're going through. But whatever happens today…I got your back, Ollie," Barry promised and Oliver smiled tightly.
"Thanks. You talk to Chloe about that kiss yet?" Oliver inquired and Barry suddenly found his shoes very interesting. "I'll take that as a no."
"I wouldn't know what to say. And with everything going on, whatever happened with Chloe hasn't seemed so important," Barry explained.
"It might be the most important thing. Take it from someone who learned the hard way: putting off these kinds of discussions off only makes them harder," Oliver told him.
Barry opened his mouth to speak but, at that moment, Oliver's phone started ringing. Pulling it out, Oliver saw it was from an unknown number.
In the main room, Chloe, Tess, Stein and even Ronnie were examining the schematics when they were replaced by a notification.
"Oliver's getting a call from an unknown number," Chloe said, setting the trace.
"You think its Prometheus?" Tess asked.
"I hope so, because then we can find him and stop him before this gets out of control," Chloe said.
Oliver answered the call and his screen was filled with an image of Bobbi in a chair, restrained as Prometheus stood behind her, a dagger to Bobbi's neck.
"How does it feel Oliver, to be helpless as I hold the one you love at my mercy?" Prometheus asked and Oliver almost growled as Bobbi remained silent, seeming to try and communicate some kind of message with her eyes.
"We both know you won't hurt her, not yet. Stop the games and come face me, Joe," Oliver demanded.
"That's not my name. And we'll face each other soon enough. But not before I make the one you love suffer," Prometheus taunted before making a small nick on the side of Bobbi's neck. "How does it feel, knowing I can do anything I want to her and you can't stop me?"
"This is all about your father? You touch her again, you'll see him soon enough," Oliver said in a growl and Prometheus laughed menacingly.
"There's the man who killed my father. You built your entire crusade on family, but you took away mine. And soon enough, I'll take away everything that matters to you," Prometheus taunted. "Later."
The call ended and Oliver gripped the phone in his hand so tightly Barry was afraid he might break it.
"You were right. He reached out to taunt you," Barry said gently and Oliver nodded after a moment.
"Now let's just hope Chloe was able to find something."
"Prometheus, Joe, Kane, whatever he wants to call himself, he's smart," Chloe said as the X-Men, Oliver, Sara, Matt, Carter, Jay, Dinah, Gambit, Barry, Tess, Ronnie and Stein stood in the main room. "He bounced the signal of his call off a dozen different cell towers."
"Meaning you can't trace it," Oliver said in disappointment, all of them confused when Chloe laughed.
"Oh yee of little faith, my green archer. It would stop your average police officer, but I'm a bit better than that. He bounced them off a dozen cell towers, but they all have something in common. They're all at least twenty miles from this building close to Manchester and third," Chloe said as she brought up a digital image of the building. "I did a little digging, and it belongs to a shell company that was associated with the Church of Blood."
"Which Sebastian Blood used last year to make Slade's army of Mirakuru Soldiers," Sara noted.
"We know where he is now, so let's go get her," Logan said, sounding like it was taking all his restraint not to run out the door.
"Let's end this before it gets worse," Carter agreed.
Metropolis
Afternoon
Rhodey and the disguised Vision were sitting down across from each other in a café when they heard the sound of rockets before a loud boom sounded outside. They looked out the window they were sitting by, as did the other patrons. Tony had just landed outside and people were gawking at as he lifted his head, seeming to zero in on Rhodey and Vision. Even with the faceplate covering his face, Rhodey could seem to feel his rage.
"It's show time," Rhodey muttered.
Tony began making his way towards the coffee shop, the stomp of his metal boots echoing through the street.
Then, he was suddenly surrounded by red energy, struggling to move, his face plate retracting.
"Clint, now!" Wanda shouted, trying desperately to hold him in place with her powers from a nearby table.
Up on a rooftop, Clint aimed an arrow at the struggling Tony before firing. The arrow sailed through the air and Tony spotted it.
But unlike last time, he was prepared for it. Straight from the Arc Reactor in his suit, a powerful Repulsor beam shot out, completely vaporizing the arrow. Clint rolled down, just barely avoiding getting hit by the beam. It impacted on the side of the building, causing it to shake as some debris fell, forcing Wanda to let Tony go to catch it so it would hit the civilians below.
"Run!" Wanda shouted when they merely gawked at the debris.
Finally realizing they might be in danger, the civilians ran just as Tony launched himself at Wanda. But before he could reach her, Vision was suddenly there, restraining him. With a roar of rage, Tony shot a repulsor beam at Vision's chest, sending the android flying.
"You're gonna pay for this," Tony sneered, his face plate going back over his face.
"Tony, listen to yourself. This isn't you," Rhodey pleaded as he rolled forward.
"Shut up!"
Tony launched two missiles, one at Wanda and Vision each. Vision destroyed one with a repulsor beam while Wanda used her powers to send the other back at Tony. Tony blasted it apart with a repulsor beam from his chest, which was then sent at Wanda. Wanda erected an energy shield but it wasn't enough to completely stop it. The blow took out her shield and sent her flying back. She crashed through a window of a nearby shop, landing on a table, out cold.
Sam then flew in, Redwing firing at Tony from behind. As Tony became distracted from the bullets, Sam flew in, one of his sings striking Tony in the face plat before Sam delivering a spinning kick to the side of Tony's head.
This dazed Tony but only for a moment, as he then held out his hand and shot out a replusor beat at Sam. Sam flew out of the way but noticed the beam strike along the side of a building.
"We need to stop him, now," Sam warned.
"That was my last EMP arrow, used the other one to take him out last time. And Wanda's down for the count. We're gonna need to improvise," Clint warned.
As if in answer, Steve jumped from a rooftop, jumping on top of Tony and tackling him to the ground. With a roar of rage, Tony pushed him off, attempting to bash his face in but Steve grabbed his fist, restraining him.
"Tony, you need to stop," Steve pleaded.
Tony roared, punching him in the abdomen and Steve stumbled back as Tony raised his other hand, charging the gauntlet for a repulsor beam. The others attempted to intervene but Steve raised a hand, gesturing for them to stop. The former Avengers, Vision, Rhodey and all the civilians still there waited with baited breath as Steve and Tony stared each other down.
"Tony, this isn't you. Look around. Does this seem something you would normally do?" Steve asked, gesturing to all the destruction. "Deep down, you must know something is wrong."
"You're not getting in my head again, Rogers," Tony sneered from behind his face plate.
"Then do it. But I have faith that you won't. You haven't always made the right choices, and we haven't always seen eye to eye. But I know this isn't who you are. You're a hero. More than that, you're my friend, and I'm not giving up on you, Tony. But if you have…then go ahead, kill me," Steve told him passionately.
For a long moment, it was silent; the only sound the hum of Tony's gauntlet. Then, slowly, Tony powered it down and lowered his hand to his side. Tony then held his head, as if in pain before falling to his knees. His face place lifted up, revealing the Omega symbol on Tony's forehead before it glowed brightly and, finally vanished.
It was silent for a moment as Tony breathed heavily. Steve approached him warily, offering Tony a hand up. Tony stared it for a moment before accepting it.
"So, would someone like to explain what just happened?" Tony asked once he was on his feet.
"It's a long story, Tony," Steve said with a slight smile, glad to see Tony back to himself.
Was originally going to have the confrontation with Kane and his team this chapter, but in addition to liking how the chapters ends on a positive note, that is going to be so insane that it deserves its own chapter. So stay tuned.
Otto would be played by Mads Mikkelson. Thank you to Aragorn II Elessar for the suggestion.
