He wasted no time in charging headfirst towards him. While he wanted to give the strange man a good pummel, Cobra restrained himself from unleashing his Poison Dragonslayer abilities. One, because the poison may end up accidentally killing him before they can get information, and two, because he wasn't really in a "ruin the one nice jacket I have over a shmuck" kind of mood. Besides the strange afflictions of his soul, his physical presence still matched how he looked, which meant somewhat underwhelming. As long as Cobra kept his head on straight, the fight wouldn't be a problem.

…Is what Cobra firmly believed, up until the moment that Percy completely sidestepped his first attack. Then his second. Third. Fourth. Cobra would try to punch and Percy bent to the side. He'd try and kick and swing at empty air. Even trying to knock him off his feet resulted in Percy somehow getting behind Cobra. The more this happened, the more frustrated and cornered Cobra felt of all people. And the more his emotions roiled inside him, the more desperate his actions became.

He tried listening to Percy's movements, but with the cacophony that was his soul, all physical sounds were dampened by comparison. And, perhaps this was just his aggravated mind trying to find more excuses, but there was a sense that Percy was reading his movements as much as Cobra was attempting to read Percy's. The fact that he was successfully countering him reminded Cobra of his humiliating defeat by Jellal not a year back; only his now guildmaster was one of the most powerful wizards on the planet, and this was a man he'd never heard of before this week.

Finally, after an agonizing minute of frantic fight moves, Cobra paused for breath. This must be how his opponents felt after he dodged all their moves. Percy still had the same annoying smile on his face. Didn't even seem out of breath. Unfair. Unfair. Unfair.

"You know…" Percy began, his eyes still on Cobra, "I was considering seeking out a different person to have a chat with."

"What…the demon…?" Cobra gasped.

For the first time, Percy looked surprised, and even let out a little laugh. "You call your partner there a 'demon'?" Cobra's eyes widened as he suddenly understood who he meant. "That's quite cruel, although, maybe that teasing is why she seems to like you so much!"

Cobra shed any restraint he'd previously felt, and felt his hands transform to cold-blooded claws.
