"Goodness, that surprised me!" Mirajane exclaimed as she stopped in front of them. "I didn't expect you to be here at all." Her pep levels were significantly lower than normal. Whether that was because of the early morning or whatever reason she was here now remained to be seen; all Cobra was interested at the current moment was Macbeth's reaction.

"Not like I thought you'd be here either," Cobra said. He glanced towards the side where he assumed Macbeth was. There was a chance he'd moved, but he likely knew as well as Cobra that Mirajane had sharp vision; he risked her seeing if he moved carelessly. He'd have to act quickly though, in case his friend decided to do it anyway. "We've been tasked with investigating this place by our tyrannical boss. Just awful, huh?"

"We?"

With a deft hand, Cobra smacked Macbeth on the back. At least, what he assumed was the back, he was a little high, catching him more around the nape of the neck. The effect was the same, though, as Macbeth's form wavered in and out of space. Mirajane's eyes widened even further. He could feel a charge in the air as Macbeth's mood darkened; he remained half visible, half invisible. "Yeah, this guy decided to tag along with me. Although I think he's still half asleep since he's only half here." Cobra found himself wishing Lucy was here, as that was a top-tier bad joke. All he received in response was a glare and a wide-open face.
