Cobra took off in the direction Mirajane had pointed in, leaving Macbeth behind to his cruel fate of tagging along with her for who knows how long. Oh, how he was going to relish mocking him about that later! He could picture it now, saying that blue was his color this season, commissioning a doll that looked like the demon to leave in his belongings, pestering Jellal to get Macbeth to relay information to Mirajane…

He paused. Wait. Wouldn't this mean that he would be spending even more time around the demon than he was already? Scratch all that. Maybe if he just spread a rumor, he could get Sorano to do most of the dirty work.

As he considered the possibilities of why exactly Macbeth would be so scared of her (and there were many, as he knew) he suddenly saw Lucy's trademark white and blue outfit pop into view. Her hair was down, which was unusual for her, he realized as he approached. She was staring straight into a notebook, frowning and turning pages while mumbling, "No, they said they were leaving town. This one was a traveler, this one wouldn't…"

"Becoming a stalker now?" Cobra asked, startling Lucy so that she almost dropped her notebook.

"N-No! I…" She paused and gave him an inquisitive look. "What are you doing here so early?"
