"Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris recapped, "It was like a real summer camp." The scene flashed back to Scarlett, Cameron and Sierra falling down the waterfall. "There was canoeing..." Chris continued. The scene changed to Shawn and Jasmine swatting fish away. "Fishing..." The scene changed to the crocodiles bouncing Julia. "Volleyball..." The scene changed to Phoebe getting shot up by a geyser. "Water activities..." The scene changed to Julia getting stomped by some bears. "And we even had some bear attacks." The scene changed to the Villain Alliance arguing and splitting up. "The Villain Alliance absolutely exploded, leaving everyone on their own, except for Valerie, who has her secret back-up in Bryan."
...
The scene changed to Julia and Bowie talking to the other Rats. "Julia and Bowie pretty much split the Toxic Rats in two," Chris continued. The scene changed to Sam being dragged into the bushes twice. "Having Sam as the one to pick a side." The scene changed to Sugar stomping on Ella's hands, making the princess fall. "While Sugar stomped Ella off Honey Mountain..." The scene changed to Shane scooping up Ella and then revealing himself to her. "Leading to Shane to save her and finally learning his not-that-secret condition. But she didn't care he was a demonic freak. Guess it's Beauty and the Beast. Ugh, not any less annoying."
...
The scene changed to Bowie kicking Julia away. "It looked like Bowie had Julia ready to cut..." Chris continued. The scene changed to Julia tackling Bowie, then to tossing him into the honey. "But Julia went from down to downright deadly." The scene changed to her ringing the bell. "And she secured immunity for the Rats...mostly to save herself." The scene changed to Greg crashing into the bell. "Then Greg got a lucky break and secured second place thanks to a defective jet pack." The scene changed to Lucas talking with Samey, then to her ringing the bell. "And Lucas made the noble sacrifice to let 'Amy' get the last safe spot, confident that the Gophers will finally cut Heather."
...
The scene changed to Echo recording the whole thing on her phone. "But Lucas didn't count on hidden third villain Echo's slippery tricks," Chris continued. The scene changed to Nikki walking into the Gophers' campfire ceremony and playing the recording. "Using Nikki's anger to make her be the one who exposed Lucas's action as payback against Helen." The scene changed to Lucas's elimination. "The Gophers were quick to turn and cut Lucas, with only Helen defending him." The scene changed to Helen tearfully hugging the mask Lucas gave her. "Which devastated Helen..." The scene changed to the Frogs confronting Samey and Samey's outburst. "And also completely exposed Samey, with basically all the Frogs believing that she was the bad one. Oof. That's sad..."
...
The scene returned to Chris standing on Pahkitew Island. "But also really good for TV!" he exclaimed. "She was very close to crying, too."
"You. Are. Sick," Karol seethed as she and Dean stood behind Chris.
"How do you even sleep at night?" Dean asked.
"Very soundly," Chris smugly replied. "Ready to see who else cries today? I hope it's all of them, but we'll find out now on Total...Drama...Island!"
(cue commercial)
It was the next night on Pahkitew Island. Something bubbled in the water as it got closer to the island. It soon surfaced as a seaweed creature with glowing red eyes. It let out a growl, spooking the wildlife. Up in the trees, Jasmine was sound asleep on one branch while an awake Shawn sat on another.
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"She's cool and she's accepting of my lifelong mission to keep my brain from being eaten by the undead. All great! Ding-ding! Full points! But falling for her means I gotta protect her brain and mine. Ha! That's a deal-breaker."
End Confessional
Shawn went wide-eyed as he saw the seaweed creature roaming through the woods.
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"Z-Z-ZOMBIES! I'm out of here, man!"
End Confessional
Over by the beach on the other side of the island, Trent and Carly were walking along. "So Lucas got cut after throwing the challenge?" Carly asked.
"With video evidence and everything," Trent replied. "Still, something about it feels too weird, like how it felt convenient for Heather to get saved like that."
"You think she set it up?"
"No. She was just as shocked as the rest of us. And Nikki was the one who showed us the footage."
"Maybe one of the other villains got her to do it?"
"Possibly. But Nikki also said it was vengeance against Helen, like an eye for an eye kind of thing."
"But why would she...?" Carly then noticed something bubbling in the water. "Uh, Trent?" she gulped. "What is that?" A seaweed creature rose out of the water and blinked its glowing blue eyes. It let out a growl at the duo. "ZOMBIE!" Trent cried out. "RUN!" He yanked Carly away as he dashed off, with the seaweed creature tilting its head in confusion.
Confessional: Trent (Screaming Gophers)
"I'm not well-versed in zombie stuff compared to Shawn or Sky, but what I do know is that if a zombie's really hungry, it'll go straight for the brain no matter if it's human or not!"
End Confessional
Later that morning, Helen was sobbing as she laid on her bunk in the tree house. "Come on, sugar," Leshawna told her. "Perk up a bit." Helen still kept sobbing. "Lucas threw the challenge," Lacey explained. "We had to boot him. No need to cry over that."
"Neither of you are helping," Bryan pointed out as he walked inside. He then sat on Helen's bunk. "I'm sorry for voting out Lucas, Helen. I didn't know he meant that much to you. But I doubt he would want you crying like this. He'd want you to keep on fighting like he would." Helen wiped away her tears. "Y-yeah," she stammered. "Lucas would be cursing his mouth off if he saw me wallowing over him." She placed the mask over her head. "Let's do this! For Lucas!"
Confessional: Bryan (Screaming Gophers)
"I not only lifted Helen's morale enough to do well in the challenge, but I now opened the door to a possible alliance with her. It's a much better tactic than what Leshawna and Lacey attempted."
End Confessional
Inside the Frog tree house, Zoey was bringing in a basket of apples when she saw Samey lying on the floor. "Are you okay?" Zoey asked as she knelt down to her.
"No," Samey moaned as she sat up, "I'm not. Practically all the team hates me now all because I tried standing up to my awful sister and now I'm labeled as the bad guy. I'm just so sick and tired of everyone treating me like the villain in this case!"
Confessional: Zoey (Frogs of Death)
"You know, looking back on the picnic where Samey stood up and told us about Amy, no one really gave Samey a fair chance to defend herself. We just assumed Samey was the bad guy for shouting at Amy. And really, what good things did Amy actually do? No wonder Samey feels awful. And I feel awful for not seeing that sooner."
End Confessional
Over in the forest, a little bird chirped while Sky and Dave foraged for berries. "And I guess that's when I decided I wanted to become an Olympian," Sky finished. "Sometimes you just gotta go for it, right?"
"Uh, right," Dave replied. "I was listening."
Confessional: Dave (Confused Bears)
"I wanna tell Sky how I feel. She's all I can think about. I just hope I don't do that thing I always do."
End Confessional
"My older sister Jane is my role model," Sky explained. "She almost made it onto the Canadian Olympic Team for rhythmic gymnastics."
"Is that even a real sport?" Dave thought, catching Sky off-guard. "I always thought it was a halftime show thing. It's just ribbons and music and useless running around. Looks so silly and-" He noticed Sky glaring at him. "Uh-oh."
Confessional: Dave (Confused Bears)
He face-palmed. "Yep, it's happening."
End Confessional
"How dare you say that about-" Sky scolded.
"Wait!" Dave cut off. "I always say dumb things just before I tell a girl I like her. Not that I'm always telling girls I like them. Just cute ones." He groaned a bit. "Still doing it." He took a breath. "I like you," Dave confessed, making Sky go wide-eyed with surprise. "What I want to know is, do you like me, too?"
Confessional: Sky (Confused Bears)
"Who stares at a girl and says 'I like you'? That's not how it works. You're supposed to write it on a note and give it to a friend of the person you like. Then she tries to pass it to the girl, gets caught by the teacher and the teacher reads it out-loud into class. Everybody knows that!" She sighed. "Plus, getting into a relationship with someone who will eventually be competition makes no sense."
End Confessional
Sky let out a loud belch in Dave's face. "Sorry," she apologized. "That happens when I'm-"
"Nervous," Dave finished. "I know. So, was that belch a yes or a no?"
"It was an 'I like you, too' burp, but-"
"Don't wanna hear the but. Let's just see where things go, okay?"
"But Dave-"
"Wakey, wakey, campers!" Chris announced over the loudspeakers, jolting most of the remaining campers awake. "Everyone gather down by the lake." Sugar yawned as she sat up. "Guess Judgement Day is here," Samey thought.
"I'm sure it won't be too bad," Zoey assured her. "Come on." Later, the campers were walking down towards the lake. "Sugar," Ella began, "Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"You can talk to me," Sugar snootily replied, "But I ain't gotta listen."
"Well, since you aren't a big friend of my singing, I decided to write you a friendship poem."
Confessional: Ella (Confused Bears)
"And what's a poem but an unsung song?"
End Confessional
Ella cleared her throat before reading. "Sugar sweetens many things," she said, "Like cake and candy and-"
"Here's a poem to stick in your ear holes," Sugar told her. "Roses are red...manure is brown...GET OUT OF MY FACE!" Ella could only sigh as Sugar stomped off. "You know," Shane assured her, "They say the meanessst people are the ones that have a hard time believing in themselvessss."
"She needs my support," Ella happily noted. "Thank you, Shane!"
"Uh, Shane?" Ethan spoke up once Ella was out of earshot. "I know you meant well and all, but I don't think Sugar is a good friend for Eleanor to have."
"What do you mean?" Shane asked.
"Considering that Sugar was the one who cruelly made Eleanor fall off Honey Mountain the other day..."
"I have to agree with Ethan," Sky put in as she walked over. "And this is coming from the guy who gets along with everyone, even Destiny."
"But if we tell Ella," Shane thought, "Her spiritsss might get crushed."
"We just have to let her down gently," Ethan recommended. "It'll be the best for her in the long run."
"Okay. Thank you for the heads up." Meanwhile, Helga had an upset look as she walked ahead. "Morning, Helga," Nikki greeted. "How are things?"
"Helga not talking to you," Helga scoffed while crossing her arms.
"You're still grumpy, Helga?"
"After what you did to Masked Man, yes."
"What did I do to him?"
"You were so blinded by revenge that you took out someone that was innocent. Masked Man had nothing to do."
"He had!"
"How?"
"Well, he was Helen's friend and..." Nikki suddenly got a blank look but continued. "And he was allied with Amy."
"No, Masked Man was ally to Samey," Helga corrected. "And now both Mohawk Girl and Cheerleader are devastated."
"So?"
"Your actions have consequences, Nikki. And because of that, three people are hurting and damaged."
"I-I-I don't see the point. I just got Lucas in the crossfire the same way Laney was."
"Then let Helga ask you this: do you feel good about your actions?"
"Of course I...I..." Nikki then bumped into Topher, frozen in place. "Wow," Topher breathed out in shock. Chris appeared, now without his stubble and a smile frozen on his face. "Okay, that's enough," he told Chef as he pulled back a fan and board. "Kill the effects, Chef."
"Chris," Topher began, "You look...different today."
"Yeah," Phoebe agreed. "He shaved that beard of his."
"Just my natural youth shining through," Chris explained, ignoring Phoebe's words.
"No, no, you did something," Topher pointed out. "Oxygen sleep chamber?"
"No."
"A shave?" Phoebe guessed.
"Hydrochloric acid peel?" Topher thought.
"Nope," Chris replied.
"Elastin protein tablets? Antioxidant firming serum?"
"No and uh-uh."
"Is this the challenge?" Sugar asked. "We gotta make up kooky words?" She then spouted out some gibberish. "Great job, Sugar!" Ella cheered. "My turn. Uh, cat! Oh, you're so much better at this than I am!" An air horn cut everyone off. "SILENCE!" Chris shouted through a megaphone. Topher snapped his fingers in realization.
Confessional: Topher (Frogs of Death)
"Slowtox, that's it! Chris's forehead has less lines than an extra on a movie set. Wait. This is bad. A younger-looking Chris means I might not get a shot as host."
Confessional: Phoebe (Frogs of Death)
"I still think he shaved. He's missing that beard thingie on his face."
"You mean a stubble?" Keith corrected from outside.
"Yes! That."
End Confessionals
"Today," Chris began, "We will be laughing as you risk your lives in the Smash, Splash, 1-2-3 X-Dash. Players have to cross the beams, grab a dueling stick from the end of the dock, bring it back to yours and place it on your board. Two dueling sticks make an X. An X for each team member wins the challenge and the spa hotel."
"That's not exactly fair," Cameron pointed out. "We'll need 18 while the Gophers only need ten!"
"Guess that's the price of victory," Duncan taunted. "Enjoy them marshmallows, Frogs!"
"But they have powerhouses like Keith and Jasmine and Helga," Bowie pointed out, "Then there's Sol and Anne-Maria with their tricks, and even Phoebe has some meat on those bones. We shouldn't get too confident."
"No worries," Scott snickered as he rubbed his hands together, "Cause I've got a plan to-"
"Anyone who messes with the other teams' sticks will result in them losing the challenge," Chris informed him.
"Oh, man. You really know how to ruin the fun."
"Only one member per team may cross at a time. If you land in the drink, that turn gets you no points, so use that dueling stick to swat, trip or bat your opponent into the water. This will be awesome to see!"
"What is your fascination with seeing us hurt each other?" Samey asked.
"Oh, did you say something?" Echo thought as she twirled around a whistle on her neck. "Amy?"
"Uh, nothing," Zoey nervously replied.
"I said if anyone gets my hair wet, they're dead!" Samey warned.
"Close shave," Jasmine whispered.
"Uh, question," Gwen spoke up, "Is there any particular order we go in?"
"You decide your own order," Chris replied, "But each team member must go at least once."
"Um, where's Shawn?" Sky asked.
"Uh-oh," Carly quietly murmured.
Confessional: Carly (Confused Bears)
"What if Shawn ran into that thing we saw last night? If Trent thought it was a zombie, no doubt Shawn will think it and bolt!"
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"I should've woken Jasmine and her friends Sol and Samey, but waking them would've alerted the zombie hoard and put us all in danger! But mostly me, but them, too. Self-preservation comes first. I'm ready. I've trained for this."
End Confessionals
"You want to fool the dead," Shawn said as he picked up a fish head, "You gotta smell like the dead." He rubbed the fish guts over his body. "Oh, yeah. My brain is working just fine."
"He's probably lost in the woods," Chris reasoned to the campers. "You know how this island can get. Confusing." He turned to Chef. "Go find him, would you?" Chef drove the boat off. "I hope he's okay," Jasmine thought. She noticed most of her teammates eyeing her. "Not that I care. He's not on my team."
"Well if he doesn't get here on time to take a turn," Chris warned, "He's got an automatic date with the cannon." Jasmine gulped with worry. "He'll show up soon," Samey assured her.
"Plus," Chris added, "Another player on the team will be done-zo, so if the Bears lose, they'll lose two tonight. It's game time! Swim to your docks and wait for my signal to start." The teams started out, though Sol kept an eye on Jasmine.
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"There's no way a guy with Shawn's survival skills 'got lost' in the woods. Something's up."
Confessional: Sol (Frogs of Death)
"Jasmine needs to keep her focus squarely on the challenge. The Frogs threatened to boot Sammy if we came in last and no way will I let that happen."
End Confessionals
"Oh, man," Owen coughed out after he reached the Gopher dock. "I am beat!"
"Do not fall in the water," Heather warned him. "I don't want your splashing knocking us off."
"I guess having the least number of people on our team gives us a bit of an advantage," Bryan reasoned as he wrung out his shirt.
"But the other teams have stronger members than us," Trent pointed out. "And we can't send Lacey out for every turn."
"Then we should save her for the toughest opponents," Helen decided. "Like Jasmine or Julia."
"Or if we need a quick comeback," Lacey shrugged.
"Should we decide on our order now or wait on what the other teams do?" Sam asked the Rats once they reached their dock.
"Let's see what the others do," Harold decided, "That way, we can counter any attempts-"
"No, doofus," Duncan cut off. "We start hard and heavy so the others get scared off and won't attack us. DJ and Julia should be the first two up." Dawn tried to say something but was muffled by a purple paisley bandana around her mouth. "What is with the weirdo here?" Julia asked with annoyance.
"I think she said something about the tea she drank having something weird in it," DJ guessed.
"Like someone tainted it?" Bowie thought. Dawn nodded before pulling out a small root. "Cool!" Harold gushed with amazement. "Real mandrake!"
"Mandrake?" Scott wondered. "I thought that was ginger." He got hit with the root as Dawn muttered with anger. "So I mistook the two," Scott shrugged. "What's so wrong about that?" Dawn pulled down her bandana and she let out an earsplitting shriek, which knocked Scott over. "That's why," Sam replied as he pulled Dawn's bandana back up. "So, that stuff will wear off, right?" Dawn nodded her head yes. "So it's not permanent," DJ breathed out, "But it'll take a while?" Dawn nodded yes again. "Nice going, Scott," Geoff scolded.
"It was an honest mistake!" Scott defended. Back with the Bears, they soon reached their dock. "Easy does it," Alejandro assured her as he carried the frightened Sky on his shoulders.
"Dang," Sugar complained. "Why couldn't we do this in our bathing suits? I wanted to show off the swimsuit that won me the Little Miss Pork Rind Pageant."
"Oh, I would have loved to have seen it!" Ella gushed. Sugar simply pushed Ella back into the water. "I got you," Ethan assured Ella as he pulled her back up. "Sugar!"
"Ugh, this is awful," Valerie complained as the Frogs stood on their docks. "Do these idiots know how much this attire cost?"
"We should probably focus more on defeating the other teams," Scarlett informed her. "Maybe we could use some sort of gadget to give us an advantage."
"With what?" Jo demanded.
"I have a wire," Sierra offered.
"Oh, sure. Just grant us invincibility now."
"Who should go first, Jasmine?" Samey asked her. However, Jasmine was lost in her thoughts. "Hello!" Samey called out as she snapped her fingers. "Earth to unofficial team leader!"
"What?" Jasmine thought. "Uh-"
"I'll go first," Topher offered. "We had to balance books on our heads in my on-camera poise class. This will be a cinch."
"You're up, DJ," Bowie told him. "Go get us a point."
"We should send out Lindsay first," Heather reasoned. "The other teams are obviously saving the tougher players. Send out the weakest player now and we can sweep the competition later."
"You do make a fair point," Trent reluctantly admitted. "Fine. Lindsay, you're up."
"Me first," Dave volunteered. "We should save Sky's gym skills and Priya's training for a tougher player." He was cut off by an air horn. "Go!" Chris shouted. Dave ran ahead. "Be careful, Dave!" Sky advised.
"Looks like Topher is a natural in both in the talent and beauty department," Topher narrated as he ran, "Like a younger version of a famous host we all know and-" An air horn cut him off. "Nix the narration, Toph!" Chris sternly told him. Topher, DJ, Dave and Lindsay each grabbed a dueling stick. Dave noticed Topher charging and closed his eyes as he ran. Lindsay screamed as she ran ahead, though she ended up tripping and falling into the water. Topher and Dave crossed each other without a single hit, while DJ calmly returned with his stick. "Seriously?" Chris complained. "Start hurting each other! Or I will get bored, and that will be bad news for all of you."
"Not even an easy point," Helen sighed.
"What the hell, DJ?!" Duncan complained as the gentle giant returned. "You didn't knock those two off?!"
"No one said we had to," DJ defended. "Plus, I did get a stick."
"My turn," Julia told the team, "And I will make sure we get another win today!"
"Go for it, Sugar!" Tyler rallied.
"What about you, Gwen?" Trent offered. "Wanna go next?"
"Might as well get it over with," Gwen sighed.
"Just think of something to motivate you," Bryan suggested. "If you wanna knock them off, think of something that makes you really angry. Then channel that anger into power."
"Oh, I can do that."
"You're up," Topher told Samey.
"Why don't you pretend they're Amy?" Zoey quietly suggested to Samey.
"Just pretend they're Amy," Samey thought. "Just pretend they're Amy."
"Just pretend they're Ella," Sugar seethed as she ran across.
"Mon hates you!"
"Pixie wannabe!"
"Lipstick-wearing weasel!" Gwen shouted as she ran. Sugar, Samey, Gwen and Julia all grabbed a dueling stick. Gwen was the first to charge ahead. "Time to knock that horseshoe out of your ass!" she shouted.
"Heather," Leshawna, Lacey, Helen, Bryan and Trent flatly realized. Gwen let out a shout as she rushed ahead...only to be whacked to the ground by Julia. "I said I wanted oat milk!" Julia shouted as she whacked her stick on Gwen over and over again, "Not almond milk!"
"Did any of you get that?" Bowie asked the Rats, who all had confused expressions.
Confessional: Julia (Toxic Rats)
"When I need to smash stuff, I envision the faces of baristas who've wronged me."
End Confessional
As Julia kept whacking Gwen, Samey and Sugar faced off against each other. "You ain't ever gonna be nothing but a donkey!" Sugar spat out.
"You're the worst sister ever!" Samey whipped back.
"A little better," Chris commented, "But I'm still bored. Release Scuba Bear." Sugar was whacking Samey as she trapped her in a headlock while Julia still kept whacking Gwen. "Release what now?" Sugar and Julia wondered. A large bear with scuba gear hopped onto the dock and roared as he whacked Sugar and Julia into the lake. Samey could only scream as she ran back to her team with her stick. The bear eyed all the teams before diving back into the water. "Amy completes the Frogs' first X!" Chris announced as Samey placed her stick on the podium.
"Way to go!" Zoey cheered as she held up her hand. Samey smiled a little before sharing a high-five. However, Zoey was swiftly yanked away by Valerie afterwards. "What are you doing?" the fashionista scolded. "You're not supposed to help that little traitor."
"But she helped us," Zoey defended. Valerie was about to argue but she was bumped into the water by Sol. "Don't mind her," he assured Zoey. "You can cheer."
Confessional: Sol (Frogs of Death)
"Any positivity towards Sammy is a good thing, and I don't want that vixen Valerie trying to wreck things."
Confessional: Valerie (Frogs of Death)
She groaned as she wrung out her hair. "If I wasn't focused on dumping that mongrel twin, I'd chuck Solstice into the cannon!"
End Confessionals
Gwen moaned as she rolled into the water. "Still no points!" Heather groaned.
"No worries," Helen replied. "I'll get the first point. Let's do this!"
"Time for the EXTREME!" Tyler declared.
"Mister Hezekias should go next," Phoebe suggested.
"Easy with formalities," Zee chuckled. "Mister Zee is fine."
"Nice work, Julia," Bowie scoffed as she surfaced.
"That bear just took me off-guard," Julia argued. "I was dominating the round!"
"Enough," Duncan told the duo while walking ahead. "I'll go." Helen and Tyler gave rallying cries as they ran ahead, but Duncan managed to trip them and make them fall into the water. He then grabbed Zee and threw him into the water. "Hey!" Keith protested. "He can't do that!"
"Sir Keith is correct," Ethan agreed. "It's against the rules."
"No rules say you can't knock them in the water with something other than a dueling stick," Chris replied. "I'll allow it." Duncan smirked before grabbing his dueling stick and running back.
Confessional: Duncan (Toxic Rats)
"Taking out the threats before they become a problem is just common sense. How come no one else thought to attack before they grabbed a weapon? Guess the others aren't as bright as they looked, and they didn't look bright to begin with."
End Confessional
"And the Toxic Rats complete their first X," Chris announced. "And Gophers still have zilch."
"Oh, come on!" Heather groaned. "Not even one point!"
"That does it," Lacey decided. "I'm going."
"Uh, hang on," Bryan spoke up. "Why not Owen next? I don't think anyone can knock him down."
"Good thinking, String Bean," Leshawna agreed. "Go on, big guy." Owen rushed ahead and grabbed a dueling stick. "Time to get struck by Lightning!" Lightning declared after grabbing his stick.
"No hard feelings, dude," Carly said, "But you are going down, Owen." She, Lightning and Zoey charged at Owen, but they simply bounced off his stomach and landed in the lake. "Yay, Owen!" Helen cheered. "You did it!"
"We're finally on the board," Trent breathed out as Owen walked back with his stick.
"You okay?" Samey asked as she pulled Zoey out of the water.
"I'll be fine," Zoey replied. "Thanks for asking, though."
"You should go next, Jo," Scarlett recommended.
"Better wait until the others use up their strongmen," Jo reasoned. "That way, the others will be ripe for clobbering."
"And miss out on an opportunity to showcase both your brain and brawn? If you take Sierra's wire and wrap it around your stick, it'll act as a conductor. Then, all you'll need is a power source."
"You're suggesting to electrocute the others?" Cameron gasped. "Scarlett, that's-"
"Ignore Bubble Boy here," Jo cut off. "But why would I zap myself?"
"If you hold it by the rubber padding, you won't get shocked," Scarlett explained. "Go. I'll find the electricity. Unless you'd rather wait for someone else to pull this plan off first and shock you."
"What?! No way!" Jo snatched the wire out of Sierra's hand before running off. "Looks like the Rats are sending out Austin," Lacey thought.
"I'll keep him from scoring," Echo volunteered as she ran ahead. She then grabbed Austin and pulled him into the water. "You idiot!" Heather scolded. "You're supposed to knock him in the water and NOT fall in!"
"But now the Rats can't score this time," Echo defended. Back on the dock, Ella was skipping ahead. "Hello over there!" she sweetly greeted.
"Get ready to eat water, Snow White!" Jo shouted back. She grabbed a dueling stick and wrapped the wire around it. As Ella picked up her stick, Scarlett used her team's stick to grab an electric eel in the water. The Frogs started to cheer. "Jo!" Scarlett called out while flinging the eel, earning some odd looks from Samey and Shane. "Pardon me." Jo held her stick by one end, with the eel grabbing it in the middle. "Time for a shocking combat," she taunted.
"Hey again, board buddy," Ella greeted. She noticed Jo charging and Ella shrieked as she held up her stick to defend herself. Jo swung her stick, electrocuting Ella and making her fall into the water. Everyone gasped in shock, save for Scarlett and a giggling Sugar.
Confessional: Sugar (Confused Bears)
"Best. Day. Ever."
End Confessional
"Looks like Jo just scored the Frogs some mojo!" Chris announced.
"Bad mojo!" Cameron protested.
"Hang on, Ella!" Shane assured her before diving into the water.
Confessional: Cameron (Frogs of Death)
"I get that we're trying to win, but resorting to hurting someone like that on purpose? Is it wrong for me to want to knock those two in the water if I could?"
End Confessional
"So the Bears get zip," Chris narrated. "Or should I say 'zap'? And Jo adds to the Frogs' lead. Will the Gophers or Bears crawl their way back?"
"Do you know where I can find the white rabbit?" Ella slurred before falling off the dock.
"Sounds like a no, but see for yourselves after the break, right here on Total...Drama...Island!"
(cue commercial)
Shane lifted Ella up onto the Bears' dock. "I'm sorry I fell in," Ella apologized to her teammates.
"It's not your fault," Shane told her. "It's Jo's. I didn't know she'd do that."
"Rest up for now," Ethan instructed to Ella. "We'll handle it from here."
"He's right!" Sky declared. "That was a low blow! In my world, unsportsmanlike conduct gets penalized!"
"In my world," Greg muttered, "Good battle tactics mean you survive."
"Watch it," Shane warned as he shot Greg a glare. "I can ssstill hear you."
"Hey, Super Snake!" Keith shouted. "Flirt with the princess later. You still need to take a turn!"
"Guesss I'll see you later, guys. And good luck to you, Sky."
"Bye, Shane!" Ella exclaimed while waving to him.
Confessional: Ella (Confused Bears)
"Isn't he just wonderful?"
End Confessional
"I saw what you did!" Sky scolded as she and Scarlett ran across. "See you on the other side, Cheater-Teamer!"
Confessional: Sky (Confused Bears)
"I don't really care for trash-talk, but BOOM! That's what you get when you electrocute my team!"
End Confessional
Sky yelled as she charged with her stick. However, Scarlett and Bowie quickly ducked down as she swung, making Sky crash into Trent and knock the duo into the water.
Confessional: Scarlett (Frogs of Death)
"The laws of force and motions are simple. With Sky being the pivot point, I knew the inertia caused by the mass of the dueling stick would... She swung too hard and fell down."
Confessional: Bowie (Toxic Rats)
"Sometimes, not attacking is the best move you can do in a fight. And an extra points for the Frogs wouldn't hurt. They still need more X's than we do."
End Confessionals
Trent lifted a shaken Sky out of the water, then the duo screamed as they saw Scuba Bear again. "Another X for the Frogs and more progress for the Rats," Chris announced. "While Gophers and Bears still get zilch."
"Still nothing," Trent sighed as he crawled back to the dock. "Sorry, guys."
"That's it," Lacey decided. "I'm going out there now and crush those twerps!"
"Careful, Paul," Ethan advised as the mechanic ran ahead.
"You've got this, Mike!" Cameron rallied.
"Lacey's out now," Harold noted. "Should we send Julia out again?"
"I've got a better idea," Bowie explained. "Dawn, listen up." He whispered something in her ear. Dawn muffled something back. "It'll be fine," Bowie assured her. "They're tough. Go!" Dawn started crawling down the dock slower than the others. "Why isn't she running?" Lightning asked.
"Oh, I get it," Sam realized. "Use her small stature to slip like an Inkling down the dock." Paul and Mike grabbed their sticks and ran back to each other. "Prepare to go down!" Paul shouted.
"Not if I can help it," Mike teased back as the two clashed their sticks.
"Those boys are having way too much fun," Lacey muttered while grabbing her sick. "Better squash it now." She rushed ahead and swung her stick, but was stunned when the boys blocked it. "Sorry, sweetie," Paul told her, "But we don't want any third parties."
"What are you waiting for?" Heather demanded. "Whack them in the water!"
"What does it look like I'm trying to do?!" Lacey whipped back. "I wasn't expecting a tag-team of two... Wait. There's supposed to be four of us. I only see three. Where's the fourth?" Mike looked over to see Dawn crawling back towards the Rats with a stick in her hand. "Forget Lacey!" he shouted as he pushed the biker back. "We can't let the Rats get ahead!" He and Paul rushed towards Dawn. "Hey, get back here!" Lacey demanded.
"She'll get Nature Lover for sure," Heather reasoned.
"Aw, Dawn has a cute bandana," Lindsay gushed. "She really looks good in paisleys."
"Around the mouth, though?" Greg thought. He then gasped in realization. "Get away from her! It's a TRAP!"
"Now, Dawn!" Bowie shouted. "Let it rip!" Dawn yanked the bandana off just as Mike, Paul and Lacey reached her. She let out a powerful ear-splitting shriek, knocking the trio back into the air. Mike and Paul ended up falling into the water while Lacey landed back on the Gopher dock. "Sorry!" Dawn apologized. "Hey, no more screaming."
"Just in time, too," Bowie replied. "Nice one." Mike tried to climb back to the Frogs' dock but ended up stumbling back into the water. "I think that scream messed with his sense of balance," Cameron thought while Sierra pulled Mike up. "You should probably rest up, Mike."
"Paul!" Ethan gasped as he pulled him onto the Bears' dock. "You okay?" Paul just responded by throwing up. "I think that scream busted his eardrums," Millie gulped.
"What?!" Paul shouted.
"Lacey, you okay?" Leshawna asked her. Lacey just had a petrified look frozen on her face as her body went stiff. "But look at what she has!" Heather cheered as she saw the biker clutching a stick. "That's our first X! Finally!" Gwen slurred something out as she walked over and fell back into the water. "Gwen!" Trent gasped as he pulled her back up. "I think Julia hit her one too many times. She needs checking out."
"I agree with Music Boy there," Duncan put in. "Yo, Chris, Lacey and Gwen need some medical attention."
"Fine," Chris gave in. "But only so those two don't think of suing. Intern!" Dean rowed over on a rubber raft. Gwen stumbled in while Heather pushed Lacey in. "Hope you recover quickly!" Echo exclaimed as she waved them goodbye.
"Yeah," Dean muttered as he rowed the raft. He noticed a small hole in the raft and it son started sinking. "That girl is becoming a real pain in my-" His last words were gurgled as he sank in the water.
"Getting closer to a win," Scott noted. "Hey, uh, Dawn, no hard feelings about the swap-up, right?"
"Right," Dawn replied while nudging Scott forward with her stick. "Good luck!"
"Huh? Me? Meh. Guess I needed to go, anyway."
"What will we do now?" Millie asked her teammates. "Even our stronger players are getting clobbered!" She noticed Destiny humming as she listened to some music on her headphones and danced ahead on the dock. "Time to start thinking about who to vote off," Dave sighed.
"Desi is in the zone now," Greg noted. "We'll catch up."
"Ha!" Valerie laughed as she saw Destiny dancing along. "This is too easy!" She, Scott and Bryan each grabbed a stick. Destiny smirked before grabbing two sticks. "Uh-uh-uh," Chris told her. "Only one stick at a time." Destiny shrugged before tossing one stick aside. "What's the matter, princess?" Valerie taunted. "Afraid you can't beat me without your little boy toys Greg and Paul?"
"That's not true!" Paul protested. "Destiny can kick your ass by herself!"
"She does look a little preoccupied," Bryan thought. "Hang on, Gophers. I'm coming back."
"Enough games," Scott decided. "Let's take her down. What the-?" He saw Destiny flip her headphones around and blasted her music to the maximum volume. As the heavy metal played, she twirled her dueling stick in her hand while doing some acrobatic dance moves effortlessly. Destiny then got a slasher smile before charging towards the others. She managed to hit Scott in the groin, gut and head before swiftly knocking him into the water. Destiny ducked at Valerie's swing, then used her dueling stick to flip Valerie back and land in the water. Bryan attempted to run, but Destiny grabbed his stick and spun him around. "WHOA!" he cried out. Destiny then tossed him up in the air, then jumped up and slammed him into the water. "WHOO!" she exclaimed as she slid back to the Bears. "That is how you do it!"
"That was totally badass, Destiny!" Paul cheered. "How'd you do that?"
"Dance class. Just gotta flow to the beat."
"You gotta teach me some of those moves."
"Uh, maybe later," Ethan cut off. "Who's up next?"
"I'll go," Greg offered as he walked ahead. "Score us another point." He noticed Heather, Courtney and Keith running across.
Confessional: Greg (Confused Bears)
"In a fight, it's not always the strongest person that wins. It's often the craftiest that uses whatever tools they have to their advantage. Such as this." He pulled a bottle of hot sauce out of his hoodie pocket. "Habanero. Phew, my eyes are watering already."
End Confessional
Greg grabbed his dueling stick and started running back, but Heather was quick to knock him down to his knees. He tried standing up again but Keith, Courtney and Heather all pointed their sticks to his face. "Game over, runt," Heather taunted.
"Next time," Keith teased as he raised his stick, ready to strike, "Don't pick a fight you can't win."
"Take your own advice," Greg countered with a smirk. He pulled the hot sauce out and flung it towards their faces. "MY EYES!" Heather cried out in pain.
"My tongue!" Keith muffled out.
"My clothes!" Courtney complained. Greg used their distraction to trip them with his dueling stick, sending them into the water with a SPLASH! "And here's another point for us," Greg told his teammates.
"That was a very low blow," Ethan scolded as he and Sky glared at him.
"So? We got the point."
"You completely ignored the rules of engagement!"
"You have rules? Cute."
"That bastard!" Keith shouted after returning to the Frogs. "I want a rematch! In a fair fight, I'd clobber you!"
"Now why would I fight fair if there was any chance of losing?" Greg slyly replied.
"Man does make a point," Paul admitted.
"Don't encourage him!" Ethan protested.
"Will you pipe down, Galahad?" Destiny put in. "We need these points no matter what! Besides, no one's playing to be fair. They're playing to win!"
"Like with that scream attack," Paul recalled. "Ugh, still kinda deaf in one ear." Ethan tried to stifle a groan.
Confessional: Ethan (Confused Bears)
"Now I know where Destiny gets it from. The skunk."
End Confessional
"Things are heating up as the challenge continues," Chris continued, "And now it's Millie, Bryan and Harold's turn to go up against the Frogs of Death's most capable player." He chuckled as Jasmine stepped up. "This is gonna end badly."
"Where is he?" Jasmine murmured with concern.
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"Maybe Shawn did get hurt. Crikey, why am I so worried? Do I like him that much? Ugh! Oh, I hope he's okay."
End Confessional
"Hello, Jasmine?" Chris called out as Jasmine stood still. "Time to put some Gopher on the barbie!"
"Enjoy your swim," Harold told her. He and Millie knocked Jasmine off-balance, making her fall into the water. The duo then looked at each other and shrugged before running back. "Score another for the Gophers!" Bryan cheered as he ran back with his stick.
"Way to go, Millie!" Priya cheered.
"Again!" Millie giggled. "I wanna go again!"
"The Bears, Gophers and Rats score another point!" Chris announced. "And the Gophers are closing the gap with their competition. And still no word from zombie fighter Shawn."
"Still?" Helen thought. "Maybe we should find him."
"No way!" Heather protested, her eyes still watering. "He's the enemy!"
"He could also be hurt really bad. And since I'm not good at fighting..."
"We can handle things as best we can," Echo assured Helen. "Go find Shawn." Helen nodded before diving into the water and swimming to shore.
Confessional: Echo (Screaming Gophers)
"Shawn better be brought back alive. He'll be perfect for keeping that outback girl off her game. The less points for the Frogs, the better."
End Confessional
In the woods, a trash-covered Shawn was moaning as he limped ahead.
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"Smell like a zombie, move like a zombie, zombies think you're a zombie. My plan: set up a home base behind the waterfall. Search for Jasmine and her friends. If she's not a zombie, I'll ask her out on a date."
End Confessional
Shawn kept limping ahead. "Gotcha!" Chef growled out as he spotted him.
"ZOMBIE CHEF!" Shawn screamed as he booted off. However, Chef quickly tackled the zombie prepper and carried him off. "Where have you been hiding?" he asked after taking a whiff. "The dumpster?"
"Chef!" Shawn realized. "You're you! Uh, good. Listen, zombie apocalypse! Here! We can hide behind that waterfall!" However, there was nothing there. "What? The waterfall! It's-it's gone!"
"You must be hallucinating from the stink," Chef reasoned as he tossed Shawn into his jeep, unaware that the red-eyed seaweed creature was lingering nearby.
"Shawn?" Helen called out as she walked around. "Shawnnie! Come out! Uh, maybe we can grab some beef jerky? Not sure where to find it, but-" She then noticed the blue-eyed seaweed creature walking around. It looked over to her and waved a bit. "No way!" Helen gasped as her eyes gleamed with joy. "YEAH! Happy days! Happy days! Happy-" She was suddenly yanked back by Chef's net. "Shawn! How are you? And why do you smell like a raccoon? Oh, well. Still happy days here."
"You're both crazy," Chef muttered as he drove off. The blue-eyed seaweed monster tried to chase them, though it stumbled quite a bit.
A montage of the different fights started to play. Anne-Maria used her hair spray to blind Heather and score a point.
...
Leshawna was able to easily swat Blainley, Cameron and Dawn away, scoring a point.
...
Priya knocked Geoff in the gut, earning another point for the Bears.
...
Samey managed to freeze Ethan and Austin solid, then bopped them into the water.
...
Lindsay tried to charge at Helga, but Helga effortlessly knocked her into the water.
...
Duncan tripped Nikki and Carly, making them fall into the water.
...
Sierra kicked DJ away, and he screamed as he swam away from Scuba Bear.
...
Alejandro yawned as he held off Sam's swings, then he released his grip, with Sam's momentum leading to a huge SPLASH!
...
Lightning whacked off Echo and Dave with relative ease.
...
Phoebe shook with fright as she faced Julia and Sugar, and she eventually screamed as she dropped her stick and ran back to her team empty-handed.
...
Lindsay tried again to get a point, but slipped again and fell off. Dawn simply shrugged as she walked past.
...
Sol smirked as he twirled Owen in the air with his magic before dropping him into the water.
...
Sky placed her dueling stick on the platform. "Sticking it to them!" she exclaimed. "Pun intended!"
"Confused Bears and Screaming Gophers are catching up," Chris announced, "But the Toxic Rats and Frogs of Death only need one more dueling stick to win it."
"Let's send out another strong player to swipe a quick win," Harold suggested.
"Oh, do me!" Sam offered. "I wanna score the winning point!"
"You?" Lightning scoffed. "You're the weakest player here! Even Creepy Girl and Geekazoid scored once."
"But I have an idea to sweep them off their feet. Just trust me."
"I think we can afford it," Bowie reasoned. "Go for it, Sam." Sam smiled before running off. "Are you nuts?" Courtney complained. "He'll botch it!"
"Never underestimate an underdog, Courtney," Bowie replied.
Confessional: Bowie (Toxic Rats)
"No clue if Sam's plan will work, but I need to appeal to his good side if I want his vote. Encouragement never hurts a man."
Confessional: Sam (Toxic Rats)
"I know the team has doubts, but I've got to at least try."
End Confessionals
Sam grabbed his stick and looked over at Leshawna, Tyler and Keith fighting each other. Sam let out a breath, got a running start, then balled himself up with the dueling stick and started rolling down like a bowling ball. "BARREL ROLL!" he cried out. He managed to knock Tyler, Keith and Leshawna off their feet before coming to a stop at the Rats' dock. "Sam, that was brilliant!" Bowie cheered. "And you got us the winning point! How do you feel?"
"Dizzy..." Sam moaned as he laid on the dock.
"The Toxic Rats grab first place!" Chris announced after Duncan placed the stick on their podium, creating twelve X's. "Rats, the spa hotel is yours. Go enjoy it." The Rats cheered as they returned to shore, with DJ even carrying Sam on his shoulders. "Yay, great," Heather sarcastically said.
"Three sticks away from safety," Echo noted, "While Bears have two and Frogs have...one. Yay."
Confessional: Echo (Screaming Gophers)
"Where is that brat? I need those Frogs to lose! Why is this team so incompetent?!"
End Confessional
"Just two away," Ethan thought. "Who's up next?"
"Perhaps I can score a point for a team?" Ella volunteered.
"Go for it." Ella happily skipped off. "I think she's gonna get dunked again," Paul guessed. "She's not exactly a fighter."
"No kidding, Prince Paulie," Destiny teased with a playful nudge. "She's more Cinders than Mulan." The duo shared a little laugh, but Paul stopped when he noticed Ethan with his arms crossed and avoiding his gaze.
Confessional: Ethan (Confused Bears)
"What was Destiny doing with the laughing and prince talk? I mean, Paul's free to do what he wants. It's not like we're dating."
Confessional: Paul (Confused Bears)
"I thought Ethan was more mad at Greg than Destiny. Why is he all grumpy at her?"
End Confessionals
Ella skipped ahead when she noticed Shane and Trent running over. "Oh, Ella," Shane greeted. "Hi again. Didn't plan to meet up like this." Just then, Scuba Bear jumped onto the dock and tossed Shane into the water. "Oh, my!" Ella cried out as Scuba Bear loomed over her.
"Crap," Trent muttered. "I'd better scram!" He ran off just as Scuba Bear swiped a paw towards him. "Ella, be careful!" Shane warned from the water. The Bears gasped in shock, save for one. "YEE-HAW!" Sugar cheered.
Confessional: Sugar (Confused Bears)
"Two in a row? This is like winning a pie-eating contest and then watching someone you hate get hurt!"
End Confessional
Scuba Bear growled again. "Me and my friend bear," Ella sang, calming him, "BFFs beyond compare, dancing and swinging without a care!"
"Great thinking," Shane breathed out.
"NO!" Chris complained. "I've had it with the singing and the taming of the animals. Scuba Bear, do your job and eat the girl!" He tossed his drink at Scuba Bear, making him roar. "Hey!" Shane protested, shooting a blue flame at Scuba Bear and making him stop. "Don't you dare touch her! Go...go after Chris! He started it!" Scuba Bear nodded and ran towards Chris. "Run, Ella!" Shane warned. "I don't know how long it'll last!" Ella ran towards the sticks. "Uh-oh..." Chris realized. He screamed as Scuba Bear crashed through the dock he was on.
Confessional: Shane (Frogs of Death)
"First flight and now control over bears? I'm picking up stuff I didn't even know I had! Hope Scuba Bear doesn't hurt Chris...much."
Confessional: Topher (Frogs of Death)
"You know who can smile through a bear attack? The recently Slowtox'd, that's who."
End Confessionals
Ella and Trent started running back with their sticks while Chris screamed at Scuba Bear. "Chris!" Topher called out. "You want me to throw to another commercial? Scream if you want me to." Chris kept screaming. Topher was about to say something but was cut off by Chef's jeep horn. The horn snapped Scuba Bear to his senses and he dove into the water to leave Chris alone. Jasmine gasped when she saw Shawn in the jeep while Valerie got a smirk.
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"He's okay. What a relief! Okay, time to focus on winning this thing." She gasped. "But I need to make sure Shawn doesn't lose it for the other team. He's been missing for so long could get him voted off."
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"They've gathered on the docks. Smart. Zombies can't sneak up on them there."
Confessional: Valerie (Frogs of Death)
"Thinking of Shawn threw Jasmine's focus off once. Let's see if it'll happen twice."
End Confessionals
"Pretending that didn't happen..." Chris muttered as he brushed himself off. "Shawn is back and looking crazy." Chef tossed Shawn and Helen back to their docks. "Looks like you found Shawn," Leshawna noted after Helen returned to her feet.
"Not really," Helen admitted, "But I saw something even better! Just happy days here on out!"
"She's lost it," Heather muttered.
"Helen, focus for a second," Echo instructed. "Bears and Frogs are a point away from winning and sending us to elimination. Can you knock one of them into the water? It's our only chance."
"No problem!" Helen exclaimed. "For my swampy buddy!" She hopped off. "Her what?" Bryan wondered.
"Should we send Jasmine out again?" Zoey asked Samey. "She can give us an easy win."
"Maybe," Samey thought. "Jasmine, how do you-"
"Aw, still worried about your buddy?" Valerie sweetly asked Jasmine in a hushed tone. "I understand if you are. Man, seeing him like that... I hope Bears don't lose or he's a goner."
"I hope not, too," Jasmine agreed.
"Why not go a little easy on him? After all, he is your friend."
"Don't listen to her," Samey warned Jasmine. "She's trying to trick you."
"Says the girl who tricked us all this time," Valerie scoffed as she hoisted her up by her arm. "Beat it!" She tossed Samey aside. "But still..." Jasmine thought. "He doesn't..."
"Shawn will more than understand," Valerie assured her. "If he truly cares for you, he'll go easy, too. Now go on, lovebird." Jasmine nodded before she started off, to Samey's worry.
Confessional: Samey (Frogs of Death)
"What did Valerie do? I've got a very bad feeling about this."
End Confessional
Meanwhile, Shawn returned to his feet. "Are you out of your-?" Sky began when Shawn started inspecting her. "Ugh! What are you doing?"
"Just checking for bites," Shawn explained while inspecting a confused Greg. "Got a bite mark? Did you get bit a bit?" Sugar sniffed the air. "Whoo," she breathed out. "Smells like a skunk's armpit all of a sudden."
"Like rotten meat," Alejandro gagged.
"Too much for my nose," Paul nasally groaned.
"It's making me sick," Carly gagged.
"Where have you been?" Dave demanded.
"Hiding from the hoard," Shawn explained, "Just like you guys on these docks. Duh!" Dave struggled to hold his puke him. "Frogs of Death and Confused Bears are one dueling stick away from a win!" Chris announced. "Bears, get Shawn in the game or he's gone!"
"Game?" Shawn scoffed. "This ain't no game, crazy man! It's life and death!"
"You're the only one who hasn't gone," Carly pointed out. "You need to compete or Chris will shoot you out of the cannon tonight!"
"It's no use," Dave sighed. "When he gets like this, he won't listen to reason."
"Hang on," Millie thought. She walked over towards Shawn. "Shhh..." she told him as she placed a finger over his lips. "Here are the rules, Shawn. You must run across, grab a stick, then run back and knock the other teams' 'zombies' off the beam. Can you succeed in this mission?"
"They're here already?!" Shawn gasped. "I knew it!" He started running off. "Good idea, Millie," Priya complimented.
"Figured he'd put his zombie stuff to good use here," Millie shrugged.
"Yeah," Dave added, "Since he...uh-oh." He noticed Shawn and Jasmine crossing paths.
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"Jasmine's a zombie. I should've helped her. I messed up! But I can't change that now and..." He sniffled as he hung his head down. "I know what I have to do."
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"It could win the game for my team right now, but that means Shawn gets eliminated."
Confessional: Dave (Confused Bears)
"Shawn's not gonna hold back after what Millie said. Hopefully Jasmine doesn't take it too personally."
Confessional: Valerie (Frogs of Death)
She laughed. "Shawn going easy on Jasmine? Ha! I not only delay victory to boot out Lamey, but I'll also break apart those two lovebirds for good! It's a win-win...for me."
End Confessionals
The three teams cheered as Shawn, Jasmine and Helen raced off to face each other. Jasmine gently swung her stick and missed. "WHOO!" Helen rallied.
"ZOMBIE!" Shawn shouted. The duo managed to hit Jasmine hard in the face. "OW!" Jasmine cried out before falling into the water. Helen ran back to her team. "You did it!" Leshawna cheered. "We're just a point away now!"
"That's second place," Millie said as Shawn ran back. "Nice one, Shawn!" Jasmine then surfaced and spat out some water. "What's wrong with you?!" she scolded.
"Um..." Shawn meekly realized, "She's not a zombie."
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"I think I just made a big mistake."
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"I think I just made a BIG mistake!"
End Confessionals
The Gophers were still celebrating when they heard a growl. "Owen," Trent gulped, "Tell me that was your stomach."
"Uh, no," Owen replied. "At least, I don't think so."
"Just my buddy cheering for us, too," Helen giggled. Leshawna and Trent just shared an odd look. "Tie game!" Chris announced. "Gophers, Frogs, next dueling stick on the board is for the win!"
"Aw, too bad," Valerie taunted. "We were doing so well, too."
"No!" Samey declared. "I am NOT going down like this! I'LL win it for us!" She started running off. "Just one more," Bryan thought. "Owen should-" He was suddenly pushed aside as Echo rushed ahead. "Echo, what are you doing?! Owen can give us certain victory!"
"So can I," Echo confidently replied.
"Echo!" the rest of the Gophers cheered. "Echo!"
"Amy!" Shane rallied. "Amy! Amy... Why is no one else cheering?"
Confessional: Zoey (Frogs of Death)
"I'd cheer, but I didn't want to call her by her sister's name."
Confessional: Zee (Frogs of Death)
"Why is Shane calling Samey Amy? I thought we figured that out yesterday."
Confessional: Anne-Maria (Frogs of Death)
"No way am I cheering for that traitor!"
Confessional: Samey (Frogs of Death)
She groaned. "It's hard to feel motivated when your team hates you and you're being called the name of someone you hate!"
Confessional: Sol (Frogs of Death)
"I can't chance this fight. I have to stop Echo!"
End Confessionals
Sol hopped in front of the Gophers' stick. "Hey!" Echo complained. "What are you doing?! You're in the way!"
"That's the idea, genius," Sol replied with a smirk.
"This can't be allowed. Chris, he's messing with the sticks!"
"I'm not messing with the sticks. I'm messing with you!" Echo noticed Samey grabbing her dueling stick. "Move it, Solstice," Echo warned with a glare, "Or else."
"Oh, please," Sol challenged as he leaned just inches from her face. "You and what army, Grimmy?" Echo's face turned from sour to sickeningly sweet. "Why need an army?" she smugly replied. "I only need one person." She then blew the whistle around her neck. Suddenly, one of the seaweed creatures shrieked as it jumped onto the dock and in front of Samey. It raised itself up, revealing... "AMY?!" Samey gasped as the blueberry on her cheek blew off.
"Samey..." Amy growled out before charging.
"Impossible!" Sol shouted. He was suddenly kneeled in the groin before falling off the dock. "Very possible," Echo snickered before grabbing a dueling stick.
"Uh...what-y?" Lindsay asked as the others had confused looks.
"Ooh, this is bad," Zoey realized.
Confessional: Heather (Screaming Gophers)
"So either Amy is back or Samey never left. No, wait. That's not right."
Confessional: Paul (Confused Bears)
"Did Amy just call Samey Amy? Or was Samey calling Amy...? And why was Ethan giving Destiny this god-awful look?"
Confessional: Bryan (Screaming Gophers)
"So was it Samey or Amy competing this whole time?"
Confessional: Alejandro (Confused Bears)
"Samantha conned Amy out and masquerade as her this whole time. Can't really say I blame her for that."
End Confessionals
"You'll pay for this, Samey!" Amy spat out as the twins fought each other.
"Just like you always make me pay when we go to the movies?!" Samey argued back.
"You're lucky I let you sit behind me!"
"You're lucky I don't tell everyone you still suck your thumb!"
"YOU'RE THE WORST SISTER EVER!" the twins shouted.
"Dynamic Duo," Echo taunted in a sing-song voice, "Look." The twins turned to see that Echo completed the Gophers' final X. "And Gophers take third place!" Chris announced.
"You BITCH!" Amy growled out. She tried charging at Samey when she was suddenly knocked back into the water by one of the planks on the beam. Samey then saw the blue-eyed seaweed creature rose out of the water. "The zombie!" Shawn and Trent cried out.
"Lucas!" Helen cheered.
"Lucas?" the Gophers repeated.
"Aha!" Lucas laughed as the seaweed slipped off his head. "I finally got her! Sammy! How are you, amiga?"
"I...could be better," Samey admitted as she knelt down. "What are you-?"
"Saw that bitch of a sister swimming back after she got a call. Decided to try and stop her. Y finalmente consegui quitar ese maldito pedazo de mierda!"
"A bit late, aren't you?" Sol pointed out as he swam over. "In case you haven't realized...the Frogs just lost the challenge!" He and Samey were yanked into the water by Amy. "Hold on!" Lucas shouted before diving back in.
"Nothing like a sentimental family reunion to get me all choked up," Chris commented as he wiped away a tear.
"And what do we do with Lucas?" Chef asked Chris.
"Just fire him off with the camper voted off. Frogs of Death, I'll see you tonight at the bonfire." Later, the Frogs, Gophers and Lucas were walking back. "Lucas, you were totally cool back there!" Helen gushed. "Imagine swimming back for a friend. Dude, you inspire me!"
"Glad to see you're doing okay," Lucas chuckled as he pulled some seaweed off his arm, though his expression quickly turned serious. "But honestly, I'm more worried for Sammy right now. The Frogs despise her for pulling the twin swap on Amy. But Sammy's the nicest person I know! Uh, aside from you. Can you try to talk some sense into them?"
"Don't even try, you sushi roll," Anne-Maria told the duo.
"Sammy is one of the sweetest people here and you wanna dump her?! What is wrong with you?! Vote someone else! Vote, uh, Nikki!"
"You're just saying that because she got you out," Valerie pointed out. "Believe me, our minds are made up."
"Mister Cameron?" Phoebe asked as she poked his cheek. "Mister Cameron?"
"What?" Cameron wondered as he waved her hand away. "Please don't do that."
"Why did you let Miss Scarlett and Miss Josephine shock Miss Eleanor like that?"
"I did try to stop them, but they didn't listen."
"Well, I know you can do it. You've got that hero energy in you. You've even got Miss Scarlett and Miss Sierra as your sidekicks."
"Thanks for the encouragement. Huh? Scarlett? You okay?" Cameron noticed Scarlett had frozen in place with her eye twitching a bit.
Confessional: Scarlett (Frogs of Death)
"Sidekick?!" She growled in anger.
End Confessional
"Jasmine!" Shawn called out as he ran over, though Jasmine looked none too pleased. "I am so... I thought you were, you know, and Millie said-" He was yanked up by his shirt. "You know what?" Jasmine sternly told him.
"I'm a jerk?" Shawn meekly replied.
"I missed on purpose so that you wouldn't get eliminated, and now I'm probably the one going home!" Jasmine dropped Shawn and stormed off. "Uh, thanks for that," Shawn said.
Confessional: Shawn (Confused Bears)
"She did that for me? Huh. This sounds crazy, but...maybe there's more to life than preparing for the undead to take over. Maybe I should start thinking more with my heart."
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"How could I let my feelings for Shawn distract me? He's obviously not into me, so... It's time to get ruthless! No more thinking with my heart!"
End Confessionals
"Did I hear what I thought I heard?" Sol bitterly asked Jasmine as he and Helga confronted her.
"About Shawn being an ass?" Jasmine scoffed.
"About you throwing game!" Helga shouted. "If not for you, Frogs would have won!"
"So? Why would I-?"
"I remember very vividly about what would happen to Sammy if we lost," Sol angrily informed Jasmine as he approached her, with Jasmine backing up step by step, "And yet you ignored those warnings because you were so worried over that stupid Helsing Shawn over being worried for your one friend! You said you had trouble making friends. It's not your height or your strength that drives people away; it's your own damn attitude! If Sammy gets cut...I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" Jasmine fell over at Sol's shouting. "Malen'kaya gryaznaya dvorrnyaga," Helga grumbled as she and Sol marched off.
Confessional: Sol (Frogs of Death)
"How could she be so inconsiderate of someone who helped her and stuck by her side all this time?! Jasmine, you WILL be going home tonight!"
Confessional: Helga (Frogs of Death)
"First Nikki and now Australian? It feels like grapes turning into wine now... In bad way."
End Confessionals
"So it's agreed," Sierra decided as most of the Frogs gathered at the tree house. "Samey's leaving."
"Wait," Zoey spoke up. "She...she could still be helpful to us."
"Don't start defending that traitor," Anne-Maria scolded. "It'll make you look bad."
"She also cost us the challenge!" Jo angrily added.
"It wasn't her fault," Zoey stammered. However, Jo, Valerie, Keith, Topher, Zee, Sierra and Anne-Maria already left. "Guys, wait! Isn't anybody listening?"
"I'm not really sure," Shane admitted as he and Cameron entered. "And I'm not sure what to think of the whole Amy/Samey debacle."
"Everyone's dead-set on Samey," Zoey explained.
"I can see why," Cameron said.
"Cam! You're not really planning to vote her off, are you? You couldn't be that...that..."
"No! It's not that. I do believe you about Samey. But think about it: even if we vote someone else off, what's to say that Amy won't come back and do this again? Amy will just cause trouble for Samey and keep making us lose. It's better to cut off the twins for the well-being of the team. I'm sorry, Zoey."
Confessional: Zoey (Frogs of Death)
"Not even one person changed their minds. I'm sorry, Samey! I tried!"
Confessional: Shane (Frogs of Death)
"They both made a point. Should I vote for Samey or sssomeone else? Um...someone else. Like...maybe Valerie? Whatever she sssaid to Jasmine threw her off her game."
End Confessionals
Later, the Frogs of Death were at the elimination ceremony. Sierra, Jo, Anne-Maria, Zee, Keith, Phoebe, Cameron, Scarlett, Nikki and Valerie were in the back row while Mike, Topher, Shane, Helga, Sol, Samey, Jasmine, Amy and Lucas were in the front row. The Confused Bears and Screaming Gophers were also standing nearby. "To the victors go the spoils," Chris began, "Compliments of Spoiley's Second Hand Food Emporium, where one man's trash is another man's tapeworm. Think fast." He tossed the Bears and Gophers a bag of food, which knocked Gwen over and Ella caught. "Oh, and Ella?" Chris added.
"Yes?" Ella replied.
"You sing again, you're off the show. Got it? Good."
"I bet you could change his mind with a song," Sugar suggested to Ella. Ella tried to sing but Ethan and Sky quickly gagged her. "You can't do that!" Shane protested. "It-"
"Zip it, Snake Boy," Chris cut off. "I'm the host. I make the rules. What I say goes." Shane groaned with frustration, steam emanating off his skin. "Now," Chris continued as he held up a plate of marshmallows, "One of you gots to go. Anne-Maria, Mike, Sierra, Zee, Keith, Phoebe, Cameron, Topher, Helga, Sol, Jo, Shane, Zoey and Scarlett, you're safe. Nikki, you let your pettiness against a camper get the best of you. Valerie, you did way more talk than action and some people seem to hold a grudge against you. Jasmine, you let your emotions cloud your mind and stop your intimidating physique from doing its job."
"Let's get this over with," Jasmine sighed as she stood up.
"Please do," Sol agreed while glaring at Jasmine.
"Hopefully you girls learn from your mistakes," Chris told them as he tossed Jasmine, Nikki and Valerie their marshmallows. "You're safe."
"What?" Jasmine, Samey and Amy gasped.
"No!" Sol, Zoey, Helga, Shane and Lucas cried out.
"Phew," Shawn sighed as he watched the scene from a pine tree with his binoculars, "She's safe."
"Which means..." Chris announced.
"That means Samey," Zoey cut off as she stood up and pointed to Amy, "As in her, has to go again, right?"
"Yeah, definitely," Lucas quickly agreed while he, Sol and Samey joined her side. "That's her."
"UGH!" Amy groaned as she stood up. "I'm Amy! How could anyone think that was me? Samey's a bowl of mush and I'm a parfait, which is German for 'perfect'."
"So what's German for 'bitchy blonde cow'?" Samey whipped back. Amy tackled Samey and the duo fought again. "Get your paws off of her!" Lucas demanded as he and Sol joined the fight.
"SHUSH!" Chris ordered. "Which is polite for 'shut it'. I do not care who's who. Know why? Because this time, you're BOTH going in the cannon with Lucky Lucas." The four of them gasped in shock. A moment later, Amy, Lucas and Samey were stuffed into the Cannon of Shane while wearing helmets. "No!" Amy protested.
"Not this!" Lucas cried out.
"Why me?" Samey asked.
"Why me?" Amy demanded.
"Amy's the bitch!" Lucas scolded.
"I'm the nice one!" Samey pleaded.
"She cheated!" Amy argued.
"And to make it fair," Chris reasoned as the Frogs of Death looked on, "Maybe Samey should come out first this time." He pressed the button, and the twins and Lucas screamed as they were blasted off the island. "So nice to see family traveling together."
"Oh, poor Samey," Zoey moaned. "This can't be happening."
"It should be Jasmine in the cannon!" Sol protested. "She made us lose!"
"The votes say otherwise," Chris informed him.
"If I may put in my two cents," Alejandro spoke up as he approached the host, "Surely the majority couldn't have voted Samantha off. Are you sure you read the votes correctly and Samantha got less votes?"
"Even if what you say is true, which is NOT, the twins would've been disqualified regardless."
"Sssso you mean Samey never even stood a fighting chance?!" Shane angrily scolded, with black flames surrounding his body and making Alejandro back away. "Chris McLean, you are pure EVIL!"
"I know. I'm good. Wanna know who's next to be gone? It won't be long right here on Total...Drama...Island!"

Episode 42! And boy, I know a lot of people will feel pretty upset. Sadly, Samey was doomed to leave once the Frogs lost. But it wasn't "Oh, Amy returned and everyone voted Samey for losing". It's definitely a more complex web. From Samey determined to win and prove herself to Valerie and Echo dooming her to fail to some such as Sol, Zoey, eventually Shane and even Alejandro trying to defend Samey. And the people who did vote for Samey were either the villains (Jo, Valerie and Scarlett), believe Samey to be in the wrong for cheating (Sierra, Anne-Maria, Topher, Keith and Phoebe), are not the brightest duck in the pond (Zee) or had a more logical reason for cutting Samey (Cameron).
Another major point was with Jasmine and Shawn, and I think I worked it much better here than in canon. Jasmine was given influence by Valerie to go easy on Shawn, with Valerie lying that he'll do the same if he truly cared. And Jasmine even gets called out on her actions by Sol and reminds her of the cost of what she did.
We also had some other interactions, such as Scarlett, Cameron and Jo; Ethan with Greg, Destiny and Paul; Shane and Ella; Sam and Scott with their team; along with much more.
Next episode will have the teams striking it rich and- Hey! Give those coins back! Ugh, stupid monkeys! Until next time, enjoy and have a good day.
