As much as I loved and enjoyed being home with Brooke. Shane and Saul.
I missed being back at work behind this desk doing the career.
I loved and was good at. I started going down the list of things to get done. That Glenn had created for me.
I began writing a rough draft. Met with my writing team.
I was able to put together a rough draft for my new novel.
That I could be proud of.
Glenn soon appeared at my office.
(The sooner we get this done and to print the better.) Glenn replied.
This novel was about what happens when you make different decisions and the lasting affects of choices being made for you. Life. Love. Career. Etc.
(Once it's done we'll get to figuring out a book tour schedule.)
(The fans will love this.)Glenn insisted.
Lucas left the office and drove home. He should of been home hours ago. Lucas thought to himself. As he pulled into the driveway. Parked and made his way inside their home.
The sky was dark. The home quiet.
He walked upstairs through the hallway.
Lucas checked in on the boys were fast asleep now.
Lucas quietly made his way into the bedroom. They shared.
He closed the door behind himself.
The bedside table light lit the spacious bedroom.
Brooke glared at him. Her arms crossed against herself tightly.
(I made dinner lit candles. Bought outfits I wanted you tear off.)
(Did you forget?)Brooke asked.
(I got so wrapped up in writing I lost track of time.)
(I'm going to shower and get to bed.) Lucas admitted.
(You could join me?) Lucas asked.
(I've been taking care of fussing babies and feeding them on and off.)
(I'm spent. Other time.) Brooke replied. As she turned from him and closed her eyes.
