"It's time." Sam woke up with a start when he heard someone's voice in his bedroom, too close to his ear. He turned on the nightstand's light and saw Rowena at his bedside with towels in her hands, but she managed to pull him out of bed. "Get ready, Sam. You're about to become a father."
Sam's heart dropped into his socks upon hearing the news. He looked over in bed and realized that Aziza was groaning and trying to pull her fuzzy pajama bottoms off. He ran out of their bedroom calling for Dean and banging on his brother's door when he got to his and Castiel's room. When the door opened, Sam grabbed his brother and Cas, dragging them down the hall to his bedroom where Aziza's screaming could be heard.
Rowena had stripped the bed and could be seen between Aziza's legs as the blonde pushed as instructed. Castiel went to assist the Witch while Sam went to the side of the bed and held onto her hand as she panted. Rowena inducted the girl to begin pushing again and this time, the lights began flickering as the house trembled. The Rock Guardians converged in the backyard and displayed their varicolored effects under the night sky.
Cas told the expectant parents that one last, big push and the first of two babies would be here. Aziza took a minute to catch her breath and Sam was whispering in her ear that she was doing a wonderful job, that he loved her and couldn't wait to meet their children.
Aziza grabbed Sam's hand and gave this push everything she had as she began screaming again. The bulbs on the chandelier above them began shattering until they were all broken and the trembling of the house was at it again. Sam's attention went from Aziza down to where the Witch and Angel were guiding their babes into the world when he began to hear crying, but he was blinded by a bright light that threatened to pull him away, but he kept his hold on Aziza.
Then, everything went quiet. The house settled and only Aziza's panting could be heard. Castiel and Rowena had been blasted away by that bright light and woke up on the floor next to each other; Dean was a few feet away.
Before he could check on anyone, Sam heard one of the other bedroom doors close and he went investigating. He exited his shared bedroom and looked on the floor to find what looked to be a pair of tiny footprints burned into the wood of the floor. Following them, he was led to Dean and Castiel's room at the other end of the hall and he quietly opened the door to the dark room. He looked around and didn't see anything at first, but a pair of blue circles suddenly began glowing in the dark and they were pinned on him.
"Dashiel." He called into the dark and the orbs blinked at him. "It's okay, son. I'm your father."
"Dad?" At the sound of another voice, Sam's heart melted on the spot because Aziza was right; that little blue ball was their baby boy and that meant he had a little girl too. The blue orbs stepped closer to him and Sam got to see his son for the first time. The child looked to already have grown to be 4 or 5 years old and he had Aziza's hair and blue eyes, but everything else was all Sam from his face to his skin and his small ears.
"Where's Zoka, your sister?" He asked as he dropped to his knees with his arms out, encouraging the child to make contact.
Dashiel smiled in the dark and ran to hug Sam. When they touched, Sam had a sudden flashback to the night they came home from Stull Cemetery and through Aziza's pregnancy, leading up to this moment. Dashiel's blue eyes were still glowing, but he pointed to the bed and detached from Sam to go to it. He lifted one end of the blanket and revealed another set of glowing eyes…scarlet ones.
Sam jumped back upon seeing the second pair of eyes, being startled by them. He knew who those eyes belonged to, but there was no way Lucifer could have gotten out of Aziza's Box without them being aware of his presence near the Cabin via the Rock Guardians.
"Come out, Zoka. Our Dad is here." Dashiel encouraged as he almost crawled under the bed himself, but those red eyes never left Sam's form. It took him a moment to realize that it was Zoka who was hiding under there and he summoned the courage to get closer to the bed. He held his hands out to the glowing pair of eyes, but they shrunk further back. "It's okay. We can meet Mommy, if you come out."
With that promise, those scarlet eyes looked at Dashiel for a moment before disappearing. Sam watched as Dashiel held his hand out and Zoka took it, being pulled out from under the bed. When he got to see her in the dark, Sam couldn't believe how beautiful she was. Her eyes were almost the same shade as Dean's and she had her father's long, brown hair with everything else favoring Aziza. Together, hand in hand, Dashiel and Zoka went to Sam and he picked them both up to take them to meet their mother.
Rowena had just regained consciousness a moment ago and was tending to Aziza in bed. She was leaving the room with the bloodied towels and bedsheets when Sam all but ran past her into the bedroom, but she didn't miss the pairs of curious eyes that looked at her when he passed. When Sam entered the room, the lights came back on and Aziza almost began bawling at the sight of her not-so-little babies clinging to their father.
"Here they are." Sam smiled before settling the children into their mother's arms in bed.
Aziza couldn't stop staring at them and Dashiel showed off his glowing blue eyes to his Mom, making her gasp in awe before she kissed his cheeks. Zoka, on the other hand, was watching the interaction, glanced at Sam and decided not to reveal her eyes to her Mom, instead settling for snuggling into her chest. She moved some of her daughter's dark hair away from her face so she could get a good look at her before she smiled and kissed Zoka on the forehead.
Dean was just coming to and Castiel was at his side as the elder Hunter gathered his bearings. The three men watched as Aziza carefully got out of bed and Sam supported her as she fully stood. She wanted to go into the backyard and as a group, they all went out back. When they arrived in the backyard, she set the kids down and almost immediately, they began running around the open space, chasing each other and screaming or laughing in glee. The Rock Guardians made an appearance and they were glowing multi-colored until Dashiel decided to try and make contact with the trio, then they began glowing Blue, almost matching his eyes. Dashiel took his twin's hand to get closer to the beings and the Rock Guardians shrunk down to be at height with the children's shoulders, likely trying to show that they weren't a threat and were just as curious about the kids as they were to them.
Aziza was watching the children interact with her stony protectors and remembered that she had to call Gabriel, so she prayed to him while Sam brought Cas and Dean back inside into the kitchen.
"Congratulations, Sam!" Dean cheered, hugging his brother. "You've got two beautiful little tykes. How do you feel?"
"Zoka…she's not mine."
"What do you mean she's not yours. She's got your hair and you're the only…" Whatever Dean was thinking made him go silent and Sam had a good idea of what his brother's thought process was, so he nodded to confirm. "Sam, what're you saying here?"
"She has Lucifer's eyes, I saw them. I almost thought she was him when I did."
"What does this mean?"
"It means Dashiel is half-Human, half-Seraphim and Zoka is half-Seraphim, half-Archangel. Both are still Nephelim." Castiel explained, filling in the blanks on his own. "Zoka may be more powerful than her brother, but we have to wait until she matures to see the extent of her power."
"Cas, we're talking about Lucifer's daughter here. We can't just fuck around and find out with something like this."
"No, we're talking about Aziza's daughter." Cas corrected. "Without Lucifer's toxic influence, the children will grow up good and they will be happy with all of us as their family. Lucifer does not have a place in this picture and Zoka never has to know who her true father is."
"But Aziza has to." Sam said. "I gotta tell her. I don't want her to find out on her own, she'll be crushed."
"What, now?"
"Yes, now. There's no point in stalling." Dean looked like he wanted to protest against the idea, but there was nothing he could think of that sounded good enough to convince his brother otherwise. Sam gave him a minute, but once it was clear that Dean wasn't going to say anything, he went outside and found Aziza sitting on the steps, watching the kids chase fireflies. "How're you feeling?"
"Pretty drained, but I can walk." She informed him as he sat down next to him. "Look at them, Sam, our beautiful little babies. I hope they stay small forever."
"They had a pretty big growth spurt from birth, so I don't know how long we'll get to keep them this tiny." He smiled at her before looking over at their kids. They seemed to have started a game of Tag with the Rock Guardians and Dashiel was running superhumanly fast, faster than his sister, away from Panos who was 'it'. "Aziza…I think we should tell them about Lucifer and the other Archangels, just so they know and aren't badly influenced by lies."
"You want us to have Bible Study every Sunday?"
Sam laughed at that and it made her smile. "No, we don't have to read them the entire Bible, but I think they need to know about Heaven and Hell and their respective creatures. They need to know about good and evil."
"Okay." She nodded. "When Gabe gets here, he can read them the Story of the Soulmate and we'll take it from there."
"Before he does, I need to tell you something."
"What is it, Sam?"
"Zoka is Lucifer's daughter. When I saw them upstairs, their eyes were glowing. Dashiel's were blue and Zoka's were red, just like his."
Sam could see the distress in Aziza's eyes and she looked at the kids again, her eyes filling with tears as she stared at Zoka.
"I'm so sorry, Sam. I didn't know that you were my Soulmate when it happened. I died and Lucifer had me and-"
"Don't be sorry." He shushed her, pulling her in for a tight hug to stop her crying. "Lucifer won't ever get his hands on her or Dashiel and as far as I'm concerned, I'm their father, not him."
Zoka and Dashiel slowly stopped their game when they felt something powerful approaching and it made them look to the sky when Gabriel appeared with two giant gift baskets in either arm, one with a pink sash while the other was blue.
The children looked back at their parents for guidance and Aziza beamed at them. "That's your Grandpa Gabe, little ones. Go say hi!"
With that confirmation, Dashiel flew a few feet into the air and dashed towards his grandfather while Zoka took to running for his legs. Gabriel managed to drop the baskets before Dashiel was hugging him and Zoka was wrapped around his legs, all of them laughing as Gabe hovered them in the air. He set them all down and Dashiel was now sitting on Gabe's shoulders and holding locks of his brown hair while Zoka was snuggled in his arms.
"Who wants to hear a story?" Gabriel sang and effectively earned a bunch of "Me's" from the children as he carried them inside.
Castiel and Dean followed the Archangel back inside while Sam and Aziza went about unwrapping the gifts Gabe left behind. As they expected, there were tons of toddler clothes and toys, but the ones that caught their eyes were the stuffed white and black teddy bears that felt like clouds to the touch. Aziza took them both with the intention of stitching the twins' names on each one; the white and black one belonging to Dashiel and the black and white one belonging to Zoka. Sam carried both baskets into the house and put them in the kids' new shared bedroom next to his and Aziza's, but he was quickly shooed out because Gabe was telling the children the Story of the Soulmate under a blanket fort with the lights off and glowing coming from his wings. Dean seemed to be under there too because his legs were sticking out of one side of the fort.
Aziza was downstairs stitching the teddy bears and heard Castiel in the kitchen, so he was likely getting started on a very late dinner for everyone; it was verging on 10:45 PM and Rowena was likely already asleep for the night. Cas came out with a slice of red velvet cake for Aziza while she waited and told her that he made Hamburger Helper for dinner. She showed him the finished work and he smiled at the hand-stitched names on the large teddy bears; the kids would love them. She left the teddy bears on the sofa and went into the kitchen to grab a bowl of dinner, realizing how hungry she was when she went for a second bowl.
"How's my favorite girl?" Gabe asked as he came into the kitchen, kissing Aziza on the head as she ate.
"I'm feeling better by the minute." She said between bites. "Do you know when they'll have another growth spurt?"
"I'd expect them to be teenagers by the end of the week." Gabe estimated and Aziza pouted at the news. She wanted more baby time. "The Guardians haven't alerted to anything, so I think you'll be okay down here. I'll stay the night just to make sure nothing happens."

Rowena ran as fast as she could manage through the woods with Aziza's Box clutched in her arms and she didn't dare look back once. She didn't stop until she was met with a busy street in downtown Colorado Springs. She wasn't far from a crossroads, she realized, as she began walking towards the nearest one.
