1. Chapter 1

(Hidden Leaf)

'Naruto may need help.' Tsunade thought to herself as she was being accompanied by Tsume Inuzuka as she slipped away the moment she heard Naruto was in danger, she hadn't fully blacked out and did a serious thing, she took a dozen food pills, after one was used it taxed the body seriously, taking more than one was a terrible idea.

'She might die.' Tsume thought to herself as she couldn't blame the hokage knowing Naruto and her were close and given he was facing the true Pain was enough to throw away her life so that she might save his.

(Land of Fire)

Nagato was exhausted, he had never felt so tired and weak even with his body in the state it was in, he looked to Naruto as his vision slowly began to fade.

Nagato opened his eyes seeing he was in a white void "Did I…go to heaven?" he asked as he honestly thought hell was in his future.

"Afraid you're not dead yet my child." an elderly voice said to him.

Nagato spun quickly and before he knew it, he was staring at someone who he couldn't believe, he was floating in air sitting cross-legged, he wore robes that were of the highest quality, but what got to Nagato, were his eyes, his eyes contained the same purple ripple pattern his did "A-Are you?" he asked not sure how to even ask the question he had.

"The Sage of Six Paths, yes I am." Hagoromo said with a smirk seeing his shock "I have come to ask you a favor." he said seeing Nagato's shock.

"What can I do?" Nagato asked as this man was literally a god amongst men.

"I need your help to help Naruto." Hagoromo said to him seeing his eyes steel themselves.

"Anything." Nagato said to him as he meant it, Naruto helped him do right in the end if Naruto needed it, he'd give it to him.

"You are aware of your blood connection to Naruto, are you not?" Hagoromo asked as while wise, he wasn't all-knowing.

Nagato hated himself for that, as his mother was an Uzumaki, he knew from the start Naruto despite not having red hair was truly an Uzumaki, in all honesty, he was going to spare him after he unsealed the nine tails as he knew the Uzumaki could survive tailed beast unsealing.

"You are not dead, but you will be Nagato, before that happens I need you to transfer your rinnegan to Naruto." Hagoromo said as the eyes Nagato wielded were not his own, but they had bonded so well to his Uzumaki blood it more or less made them his.

"Why give Naruto my rinnegan?" Nagato asked him not seeing the logic.

"To tip the scales back in balance." Hagoromo said explaining both White and Black Zetsu, and just who Naruto truly was.

'A reincarnation?' Nagato thought in shock and surprise at the truth behind Naruto and Sasuke, but to learn he had been played by Black Zetsu and to learn that he had been played and that it had removed his eyes for Madara's making him a false rinnegan bearer was much to handle.

"You did master the rinnegan Nagato, you made it your own." Hagoromo said as he knew his line of thoughts as this child reminded him of the best and worst in both of his sons, he had lived equally the same hardships and the same companionships of Naruto and Sasuke, this man was not perfect, but who in life was 'He did as well I had.' he thought to himself thinking inaction was better than no action, both his sons had their trials, but he should've done more to nurture them when things started going bad.

"You said to tip the scales, I don't follow." Nagato said to him "Naruto is a jinchuriki, surely that makes up for his lack of kekkei genkai?" he asked him curiously as Hashirama had a kekkei genkai and Ashura had none.

"Sasuke will attempt to insert Itachi's eyes into himself in doing so he will increase the range of his visual prowess along with gaining further influence over Mangekyo and increasing his chakra drastically, as Uchiha have special eyes, you saw Kakashi's, he has Mangekyo for unique reasons, but the sharingan still isn't his, the issue with Doujutsu is that it is biological, being from the same clan allows eye transplants, and an increase in both ability and chakra." Hagoromo said as that was within the clan, for anyone else it was a heavy drain as the eye took more power to fuel itself, it was why Kakashi was so exhausted from using it.

"What will this do exactly?" Nagato asked feeling there was more to this.

"It will allow Naruto to unlock his bloodline, his hidden gifts will be his, unfortunately, I must do the same for Sasuke." Hagoromo said to him.

"I assume that will not be much." Nagato said as it was comical as Sasuke's eyes were the only thing his previous lives had, Indra was the same as Sasuke right down to the visual eye and Madara was a thief who stole Hashirama's cells to unlock his rinnegan.

"You forget while Sasuke shall not get the rinnegan, he shall get Madara's Mangekyo eyes." Hagoromo said to him, reminding him that Itachi was able to transfer his Tsukuyomi eyes to Sasuke via chakra transfusion as Nagato will do for Naruto.

"I believe in Naruto." Nagato said proudly.

Hagoromo smiled at that claim "Finally, Naruto will need a friend for where I am going to send him." he said to him.

Nagato raised a brow "Send him?" he asked in surprise.

"Yes, to where your father is from." Hagoromo said seeing his shock.

Nagato had gone to his family home before in the past and had found a journal that had talked about another world, it was too detailed to ignore "You mentioned a friend?" he asked wondering about that slight detail.

"My sons need to be at their best, this time around their reincarnations had less contact between them, there was no bond." Hagoromo said as a few childhood interactions and a few months together, it was not enough, and both sons had truly let him down in their choices, Sasuke had abused drugs to further increase his body's ability and had dropped to Orochimaru's level when he took in his power and therefore Orochimaru, Naruto was screwed given Kakashi's lack of training in his earlier years, truly Naruto could've used elemental training early on and Jiraiya while a good man was an idiot training Naruto, his son Kurama didn't make him special, Naruto was special all on his own, he felt sad when Naruto thought that being a jinchuriki was all that he was good for, in the end, both sons made him feel sadness for different reasons.

Nagato didn't like that 'No.' he thought to himself having a thought.

"Here is a selection of people Naruto knows and respects, those gone and those still here." Hagoromo said to him.

Nagato saw Naruto's entire life and he felt Naruto may have understood him better than he thought, it made Nagato feel small in slight comparison to how much better Naruto handled himself in trying situations.

"Is there…someone who is precious to you?"

"When a person has something they wish to protect, they become genuinely strong."

"You will get strong, very strong."

Nagato had found it, the person best suited to help Naruto.

(Land of Fire)

Nagato's eyes shot open seeing only seconds had gone by "Naruto, can I please borrow some chakra?" he asked him as politely as he could.

Naruto trusted Nagato with his life, he saved everyone's lives and that alone earned him some forgiveness.

Nagato felt Naruto place a hand on him and he regained some color 'Time to do what I was asked.' he thought to himself, he looked at Naruto and placed both hands on his face "Hopefully, I will get to see the world through your eyes Naruto." he said with a smile.

Naruto didn't understand till his eyes started to burn chakra soon began infusing them.

"I am sorry Naruto, this is a gift that you must accept." Nagato said before coughing again "Konan." he said seeing his long time friend's confusion "I am sorry you had to stick with me throughout all this." he said knowing his friend was rarely if ever happy, but she stood by him out of loyalty and friendship "Naruto is going to need help, please, be there for him as a friend, and please Konan, find happiness again, it is something both Yahiko and I both want." he said to her seeing her begin to cry.

Konan cried as the moment Nagato's hair lost all it's red color, turning into a pure white as the color of snow, she knew he was going to die.

"Fang Over Fang!" Tsume said as she and her partner pierced the paper veil of the fake tree 'The hell?' she thought as she smelled chakra burns and saw a blue flame on Naruto's eyes.

Tsunade saw Naruto and even in her state, she rushed over to heal him.

"Farewell Naruto." Nagato said he said as his rinnegan shined brightly and soon a tear appeared in the very air taking in Naruto, Konan, Tsume, and Tsunade 'Your sibling student did all he could Naruto, the rest is up to you, I can only pray it was enough, I hope you and Konan are safe.' he thought before his death.

"Why does everyone write their own story?" Hagoromo asked with a chuckle as Nagato followed his instructions, but he added something as well 'Well, I can't interfere with his choice.' he thought with a smile "Goodbye my son, I hope we meet again, if not know your father loves you dearly." he said to Naruto who was unconscious "Kurama." he said to Naruto's seal "I know you have suffered, but remember my child, I love you and you will do great things in this world, I believe in you and Naruto." he said making sure Kurama could hear that last part especially.

(Naruto's seal)

'No.' Kurama thought in shock as he heard a weak voice, but now it became clear, it was his father's voice.

"...I believe in you and Naruto." Hagoromo said his voice echoing in the seal.

Kurama was silent as it had been so long since he heard his father's voice 'You just earned a reprieve boy.' he thought as his constant thought was to free himself, now learning this, he needed to know what his father wanted or what was going to happen now.

'Where…am I?' a woman thought in slight soreness, she was somewhere, it wasn't heaven or hell, but she didn't feel alone.

"You must go, you must live for yourself." a rough and gruff male voice said "Your friend Naruto needs you…I was wrong, in how I treated you, never telling you how much you meant, so live for me as well." he said to her.

'Live, but…I'm dead…aren't I?' the woman thought feeling a numbness take over her.

(Land of Bones)

'A contract broke?' Kabuto thought as he searched one of the caskets finding a missing reanimation 'A revival?' he thought wondering who was brought back to life without the body.

(Meridian)

'Oh fuck me.' Tsume thought as she woke up on…very wet dirt 'The fuck am I?' she thought as she was a tracker, she always took note of the environment which she tracked in, she looked around and saw that everything seemed bad almost worse than the forest of death, she looked around spotting Tsunade, Konan Naruto, and someone she didn't recognize 'Wait…where is Kuromaru!?' she thought in worry wondering where her partner was.

"Tsume!" a slightly higher pitched voice said catching her attention.

Tsume looked around and soon spotted her partner, but he was…much shorter than she remembered "Are you doing a transformation?" she asked curiously seeing her partner was a pup.

"Funny I was gonna ask you the same thing bitch." Kuromaru said to her making her now be confused "Look in the puddle." he said to her wondering who lead who in this partnership.

Tsume looked at the puddle and was shocked to see a much younger version of herself 'Is this a genjutsu?' she thought to herself as normally she was very sensitive to these things as while genjutsu could be administered to all 5 senses, it was harder for an Inuzuka to fail to notice as they were always aware of their own senses and when something seemed artificial or different they reacted immediately.

"We're not in a genjutsu." Kuromaru said to her "I checked." he said as while only an animal, he could sense things differently than a human, it was another reason why Inuzuka carried partners, they could protect them from other elements they could not develop even with their dog nature.

Tsume sighed as she believed him, she looked herself over and saw she seemed healthier than she had ever been in her life,

"You may wanna check on those four." Kuromaru said to her not smelling any blood at all from them and he was sure Naruto and Tsunade had it before 'this' happened.

Tsume inspected Tsunade seeing as she was most critical before, but she looked healed as if nothing occurred 'Wasn't she grey before?' she thought knowing that her secret technique had risks and if used took it's toll on the body.

"She has no trace of food pills in her system." Kuromaru said as food pills left a distinct smell as a person let put so much energy and chakra, it was distinctive only to animals.

"Ok what happened where the fuck are we?" Tsume asked him wondering if he had ideas.

"Nowhere I know, and I've pissed in every nation." Kuromaru said to her "If I had to guess we're near the mist, but I've never seen anything like this kind of landscape near there." he said to her letting her know his thoughts.

Tsume noticed the mystery girl had a mist headband, so that theory had more weight, she reached into her back pocket and pulled out smelling salts and cracked them open waking the mist ninja up "Hey." she said calmly.

"Where am I." the woman said weakly before she spotted a mop of blonde hair "N-Naruto?" she asked moving to him only to fall over.

'She knows the kid, could be a good sign.' Tsume thought as Naruto was well known and had friends everywhere, but the same could be said for enemies "You know Naruto?" she asked simply seeing straight forward as the best approach.

"He spared my life." the woman said to her.

'Again, vague.' Tsume thought as Naruto sparing an enemy was not much information as he spared Gaara and he became Kazekaze "Is he your friend?" she asked hoping that'd answer the question.

"I…" the woman trailed off unsurely as last time they met was not the best and they were enemies.

'I swear I wish I had Ibiki.' Tsume thought to herself "Are you going to kill him?" she asked her thinking being direct was the only solution.

"No!" the woman said powerfully glaring at her for even daring to say that.

"Well her mask broke." Kuromaru said to her as the woman was slightly calmer than a lot of ninja, but when she saw Naruto emotions poured out of her.

Konan began to stir as she awoke, she saw Tsume glaring at her 'Nagato!' she thought remembering what happened and soon figured out he was dead by now, she looked around and spotted Naruto, she had mixed feelings about Naruto for a level of reasons, he was her sibling student, she knew he suffered as badly as she, Nagato, and Yahiko did as children being a jinchuriki, and in the end he was why Nagato died 'No.' she thought letting out a sigh 'Nagato chose to believe in him and asked me to be there for him.' she thought wanting to see how Naruto would be.

"So…how do you wanna die?" Tsume asked her hating that cloak for various of reasons, Asuma was her classmate it made her pissed when she heard the Akatsuki were responsible.

"I am not your enemy." Konan said to her simply seeing her have a look that screamed 'BULLSHIT' "Nagato sacraficed himself to revive your village." she said glaring at her.

"After he attacked it." Tsume said to her glaring at her still "You are still alive for that very reason, otherwise, I'd have Kuromaru eat your soon to be corpse." she said to her as Kuromaru would as he had bitten and torn off enough flesh that he was used to it.

Konan chose to ignore her after that 'threat'.

"Can someone stop that screaming." Tsunade said stirring from her slumber.

'Give it a minute.' Tsume thought as the Hokage while…many negative things that revolved around being lazy and a drunk, she was as quick as a whip and often just needed a moment to self actualize.

Tsume was accurate in her analysis as Tsunade jumped up took in her surroundings and then herself.

"I'm not suffering from detox." Tsunade said to herself as she looked at her hands and performed a few releases.

"We're not in a genjutsu and you're not in a hendge, trust me we checked." Tsume said to her flatly.

"I should be dead?" Tsunade said in pure confusion 'Soldier pills are often bad for the body the more a person takes, five alone is enough to put serious strain on the organs.' she thought as her chakra reserves were larger than average shinobi, it allowed her to take more than a normal person, but the effects would still be present.

"Yet, we're alive and better than ever apparently." Tsume said to her "Any ideas where we are or how the hell we look so young?" she asked her.

Tsunade looked to Konan seeing she looked younger as well and knew she had to check something "Open your mouth." she said to Tsume confusing her for a second before she did as asked and felt Tsunade pinch her tooth "You're missing rings?" she said wondering how that was possible, she did the same to herself "Either I am on serious drugs or we're both 17." she said to her.

Konan was confused wondering something "It could be the result of Nagato using rinne rebirth, it restores life, it is possible when he did what he did we were hit with the remnants of that chakra restoring our bodies, albeit deaging them." she said as that was the best guess she had.

Tsunade had to agree on that particular point as reanimation ninjutsu was a rare technique only a few possessing it, and Konan had a point reanimation did wondrous healing as life force energy was more potent than anything.

"Hey you know her?" Tsume said motioning to the woman who crawled over to Naruto.

"Hey brat, who are you?" Tsunade asked not knowing who this was.

"Haku Yuki." the woman said surprising Tsunade.

"I know that name." Tsunade said as it was in Naruto's file, she got drunk when he left the village and decided to read it wondering how his mission life was before she came to the leaf, he beat a chunin ninja before becoming a genin, he completed a C-rank that turned A-rank, fighting in a coup that Orochimaru orchestrated in the chunin exams, and coming to her rescue "...You're supposed to be dead." she said in realization as she now knew who this was.

"I…am?" Haku said not knowing how to respond.

"You died, sheilding Zabuza, taking a blow meant for him, he later died avenging you killing Gato." Tsunade said as she read things from Naruto's and Kakashi's POV, as both had unique instances that opened up the mission more.

Haku smiled then frowned and then…became pensive 'I saved Zabuza, but he still died.' she thought feeling lost, but looked down to Naruto when he started to cough "Help him!" she said in quick panic.

Tsunade rushed to him and just as she was about to make contact, both she and Haku were sent flying 'That was!' she thought in immediate realization.

Tsume was shocked as Tsunade as she looked at Naruto's eyes "He has the rinnegan!" she said in shock 'His eyes were burning with chakra…did Pain 'give' Naruto his doujutsu?' she thought in shock.

'So Nagato did entrust Naruto with everything.' Konan thought in realization.

Haku picked herself up and went to Naruto, she pulled out a senbon needle and felt around near his heart, before stabbing near it.

"You bitch!" Tsume said before being stopped by Tsunade.

"Calm down, she didn't stab his heart, she found a sensitive chakra coil and stabbed it." Tsunade said as that was well done as it was like acupuncture for chakra, it didn't sever the nerve and could be good for a person, it was letting excess chakra from Naruto escape.

They all went to Naruto seeing him stossing and turning.

"His eyes are different." Kuromaru said as while colorblind, he could identify the shades of color and Naruto's eyes were a more intense color than Pain's.

Tsunade agreed as Naruto's eyes were the same blue as always, but they were rippled like the rinnegan "I need to do an indepth chakra system analysis, you are going to help me." she said to Haku "You find us shelter and then scout." she said to Tsume "And you." she said looking to Konan "We'll talk in private later." she said needing to say much to her and get much from her.

(1 hour later)

"How is he?" Haku asked the sannin herself.

"Odd and so are we." Tsunade said to her "He shows no signs of damage, all his coils are intact." she said remembering the rasenshuriken incident and that damage was gone "You know chakra is invisible right?" she asked her getting a nod "There are few ways to materialize it, strong ninjutsu being amongst them." she said as she made her hands glow green "Look at this." she said to Haku as she touched Naruto.

Haku watched as Naruto had certain parts of his body glow green "You're infusing medical chakra into his chakra network?" she asked never seeing such a technique.

"My own unique idea to find them without Byakugan." Tsunade said as she did this earlier as she wanted to study chakra networks in depth and needed a method to detect them "But watch this." she said applying more power.

Haku watched and soon the odded thing happened, Naruto's chakra network…branched out as if it were veins or nerve endings in each chakra coil and pathway.

"I checked myself, we're the same, we all are." Tsunade said as she, Konan, and Tsume were young, Haku was alive, and Naruto had the rinnegan it was a safe assumption they were all like this "We have some form of secondary energy going through our chakra system, it's like chakra in almost every way, but it's different." she said as there were often unique energies that could substitute in place of chakra, some natural like senjutsu chakra or something as artificial as Orochimaru's curse marks "How are you here?" she asked as Haku had to be revived and she was putting her money on Kabuto given he had stolen a massive number of corpses and she was positive he stole this woman's corpse.

"I don't know." Haku said sadly "The last thing I remember is that I took Kakashi's lightning blade to my chest…and then nothing." she said to her assuming that was when she had died.

Tsunade guessed as much as she truly hated her grand uncle for making that accursed technique that people had abused, it was one of the many things she had learned that she hated about him, she learned of his hatred for the Uchiha clan and the monitoring that he put them under along with many other questionable things that made her wonder if her grand uncle was the reason Danzo was…himself today.

They were interrupted as Tsume came back.

(10 minutes later)

"Another world?" Tsunade asked Tsume as she had found a nearby town and gotten her some irrefutable facts, maps of this country and others mapped around it, transformed into less 'human' people, no one possessing chakra "That tear in the air Pain made, it must've altered space and time, teleporting us here, but something must've gone wrong." she said mostly to herself.

"Different dimensions have different rules." Konan said to them "I am well versed in seals and know for a fact a pocket dimension or in this case another dimension has their own development, people here may not have chakra, but their version of chakra is another form of energy." she said as that was her best guess.

Tsunade had to admit she had a point as even in their world chakra wasn't the only energy.

"Good news is that realm travel is possible, the bad news is that there are only five realms known here and ours isn't one of them and to top it off there are so few methods to do so." Tsume said to her explaining each of the five worlds and how rare it was for one to travel.

"Great." Tsunade said sarcastically as this was getting worse by the second.

"How is he?" Tsume asked seeing Naruto no longer had a senbon in his body.

"Healing, but I am worried what this new energy could do to something like the rinnegan." Tsunade said to her simply as the rinnegan was uncharted territory even after fighting Pain, to alter it was not something she was eager to see was good or bad.

"Yeah apparently that's called magic." Tsume said seeing Tsunade snort and for good reason.

"Magic is what chakra was called before it could be explained, it was called that in the Sage of Six Path's era." Tsunade said as people did many wondrous things with chakra in the early times and called it magic.

"Again it might be their form of energy." Konan said to her seeing her glare.

"Yeah I think it might be the real deal here." Tsume said telling her about someone pulling off a transformation without hand signs.

Haku was amazed as her clan was famous for single handed hand signs, to hear none was used at all made her curious.

Tsunade was curious as well "I need a test subject." she said needing to do a comparison.

"Try for one of the guards." Tsume said doing a quick transformation "There are literally dozens of them." she said to her as it was insane.

(1 hour later)

'This is insane.' Tsunade thought as she checked the unconscious guard that stumbled out of a tavern, he had no chakra path ways, which to her was impossible as chakra was inside every living thing, she waited for a human or as close as she could get to stumble out, the human had chakra pathways, but it didn't seem that the body was heavily reliant on it or even had chakra to begin with 'An empty chakra network?' she thought as this was a medical phenomenon 'Maybe these species have gotten past the point of needing chakra?' she thought to herself wondering why they even had it to begin with, but the most common thing was both possessed 'magic' inside them, it was very low by chakra in genin standards, but in the end it was there, Naruto seemed to possess as much magic as he did chakra, she and the others were in a similar state, but it seemed to be merging to their chakra networks.

Tsunade needed a drink, so she snuck into the tavern and literally stole a barrel of booze.

'Chances of returning home are slim to none.' Tsunade thought as time and space techniques often needed a marker otherwise it was blindness jumping and even then some dimensional planes, spaces, and worlds apparently weren't very kind or often safe to use, she had attempted to use her summoning jutsu but only managed a small slug and that was her putting in much chakra meaning her contract was still active, but she was nowhere near her contracted slugs dimensionally wise.

(30 minutes later)

"The hell happened?" Tsunade asked seeing the cave looked roughed up since she left.

"You have got to see this." Tsume said as Naruto was up albeit slightly disoriented, but given what he went through that was to be expected.

Tsunade saw Naruto breathing heavily as he leaned on the wall of the cave, but what shocked her was that he had golden chains coming out of his body, that was until she saw that on certain chains he was making…something happen.

One of the chains was on fire, another was shooting out water like a hose, one became an actual magnet and sparked up a bit, another weighed more than it should've, and finally one was lashing out as if it blowing air outwardly.

Konan knew it had to be the rinnegan as when Nagato was younger, he had a few chakra accidents here and there, but none were as erratic as this.

"The rinnegan is said to allow someone the use of all 5 elements." Tsunade said as this wasn't to surprising, but seeing Naruto use the Adamantine Sealing Chains was truly a surprise 'The rinnegan must be unlocking, his dormant genetic genes.' she thought to herself as it wasn't necessarily uncommon for someone to not inherit a kekkei genkai, there were ways to awaken it, but it wasn't uncommon for it to not awaken in one and to awaken in the next generation 'He's never been trained.' she thought as kekkei genkai was a hard thing to notice or figure out without prior knowledge or assistance, it was possible Naruto always had it, but was never shown.

"Adamantine Sealing Chains." Konan said as she and Nagato went over much of his clan's records in the hopes of finding more ways to understand the rinnegan, there wasn't much but still more than other places, she did stumble upon the Uzumaki kekkei genkai the clan had.

"He truly is an Uzumaki." Haku said to herself in surprise.

'That's right.' Tsunade thought as the Uzumaki village was between the land of fire and the land of water, it didn't surprise her in the least that Haku could've been aware of it 'Especially with the bloodline purges.' she thought to herself as when the Mist started doing that it was basically public knowledge of what clans had what in that village and what the signs were to spot it.

"Hey how come we're fine, but he looks like complete and total crap?" Tsume asked Tsunade curiously.

"The rinnegan may be flushing his body of any impurities or even awakening all the cells in his body." Tsunade said as she had flushed out foreign substances out of people's systems and this was similar to that "This wasn't just an eye transplant, Pain gave Naruto the rinnegan or more accurately, he awakened it." she said to them.

"Nagato infused his chakra into Naruto, he forcibly awakened the rinnegan within him using his own as a catalyst." Konan said as that was her best guess.

"The kid had a connection to the sage?" Tsume asked her in surprise.

"Few clans could ever claim that right, the Uzumaki the most for their longevity and fuinjutsu skills that were said to be built upon generations of history." Konan said as the Uzumaki had a long history that could be said to be traced back to the sage himself.

"Ok why give it to him then send him away?" Tsume asked not finding the logic in that.

"No idea, not even Naruto would know." Tsunade said as it seemed everything was done at the last possible minute.

"Should I be the one to ask what we do now?" Haku asked as it was obvious to her that they were trapped here "What move do we make going forward, we're in a foreign world, Naruto is currently out of commission." she said as they all looked at the still disoriented jinchuriki as he was on the floor repeatedly picking himself up and falling down "And we have no way back home." she said to them as it needed to be said.

Before anything else could be said a bright pink light appeared in the cave.

(5 minutes later)

"Is she a dragon?" Tsunade asked Tsume very seriously.

"She barely has a scent and she's not human, that much I can tell you." Tsume said as reptiles were often harder to track given they didn't sweat as naturally as mammals did.

Haku was a bit out of her element as this was an odd day for her, being alive after death now seemed low on that long list of strange things.

"You all come from another dimension and you find a dragon the hardest thing to believe?" the woman asked them raising a brow.

"Lady if you knew the amount of crap people do on the regular with us, you wouldn't be saying much." Tsume said as a lot of weird crap happened in their world some of it made sense, a lot more didn't, and just some came out to be just another level of insane entirely.

"Why come to us?" Haku said not a fool whatsoever "I highly doubt that you, a dragon, would reveal yourself easily to us." she said as if this woman was what she claimed to be, she doubted that dragons were in abundance here.

"I need your help, or more accurately his." the woman said to them looking at Naruto.

"He's currently fried at the moment." Tsume said as Naruto in his barely half conscious state seemed even more frantic somehow.

"I find it odd a being of legend such as yourself needs the help of someone they don't even know." Konan said as this was fishy as this woman seemed to know about them even during their short time here.

"We're ninja, we don't work for free." Tsunade said as while that wasn't true in Naruto's case as he'd help everyone and their grandmother if he could, they were in a new world and needed to gain some footing.

The woman looked at Naruto "Your friend is generating magic within his body, a rarity without a particular item to channel said power, but he's undergoing a change, it happened more quickly with you as you have less additions to your bodies than he does." she said to them.

"An item?" Tsunade asked curiously wonder HOW magic was unlocked or awakened.

"Additions?" Konan asked wondering what was done to their bodies past what they could see.

"Magic unlike chakra is somewhat finite in a person, there are so few items of power that can be wielded that contain power and generate it for the user to use, but in the end no one can generate power, outside of a heart of a world." the woman said explaining what those were.

"How powerful are these hearts?" Tsunade asked as Naruto with sage mode fought a man on equal footing who leveled the village and it was sounding like those hearts were on a level akin to that.

"That town you all went to could be wiped out with the full power of one." the woman said to them simply as it was no lie.

Tsunade sometimes hated being right.

"You said magic was finite in a person, how finite?" Haku asked with a critical gaze.

"The more a person uses magic without another source, they are likely to die." the woman said to them as without a source they used their own life force as a result "You are all fine as I said you are generating it as you do chakra." she said seeing the relax a bit.

"I don't buy it, we're the ONLY ones who can generate it?" Tsume asked thinking that was a load.

"There are some species that have this ability, case and point, dragons." the woman said to her in honesty "Others use magical abilities that are akin to using magic." she said as it was hard to explain.

Tsume believed that explanation more especially when Tsunade seemed to back it.

"We're getting of track, you need Naruto for what?" Haku asked her not losing sight of what this woman wanted.

"To be the hero he clearly is." the woman said as that surprised the women as each knew Naruto was a hero at his core, a true leaf shinobi, and a man of honor "He can save this world, I believe it in my bones." she said to them.

The women had to admit, this woman knew her stuff and given who Naruto was, he was a perfect mark to buy into this and actually do it.

"Why do you see Naruto as the other worlds savior, you barely know him and clearly have a high opinion of him." Konan said to her not buying this.

The woman raised her hand and all of them began to shine, but they all looked to Naruto as he had a golden hue to him "His soul is very pure and radiates power all on it's own, but there is a pain to him." she said not seeing everyone but Haku flinch when she said 'pain' "He has known tragedy and suffering and it is still undecieded if it will consume him or he will accept it and push onward, but I have faith." she said to them.

Konan nodded having a good lock on the woman's intentions and more on Naruto's character.

"I will supply you with information on Earth and Meridian so you may function better." the woman said to them.

This was something they couldn't pass up as knowledge of the world was power much needed power they needed in order to survive and properly blend in.

"You still haven't answered her, you redirected your answer, what do you need Naruto for?" Tsunade asked her more seriously.

The woman sighed "I need Naruto to save this world from a dictator, he is trying to find his sister and steal her power and reach out to not only this world, but beyond it as well." she said to them.

"Let me take a few swings at this, he's not gonna stop at his sister's power and steal much more till he reaches some type of god hood and also and stop me if I'm wrong here, enslave these other worlds under his control." Tsunade asked as that was basically Orochimaru to a T.

The woman nodded at them.

"Do you mind explaining magic to me and what it is currently doing to Naruto?" Tsunade asked looking at Naruto who was once again fully unconscious.

"He is currently adjusting to the new power in his body as I said before it was faster for you, but also it should allow you to use your powers more easily." the woman said to them as she then looked at Haku "Make ice, do not use your hands, actually make it." she said to her.

Haku was a bit curious if what this woman was selling was true, she focused the power inside of her and channeled it like she would normally and to everyones shock it shot out.

"Magic can freely be channeled and act upon a person's will, it is not a universal god power, but will allow you to do the things you could do normally without difficulty, just focus and you will do it." the woman said to them.

Konan was curious as with her kekkei genkai she had to collect paper for it work at first until later she could create it from her very body, she extended her hand and soon shot out paper like a running faucet from her hand 'Magic is very useful.' she thought to herself as this'd .

Tsume was silent before taking a deep breath and shot out a fireball from her mouth "Ok this is awesome." she said as a ninja doing jutsu without hand signs was incredible.

Tsunade could now say this woman was on their side 'But she's hiding something.' she thought as this woman may not have been a ninja, but her skills with hiding her intent were obvious to her at least, Tsume and Haku weren't picking up on it at all.

(1 hour later)

They listened to the woman explain what she needed to save Meridian and another issue as well.

"Wait, correct my math here, but shouldn't the heart of…Kandrakar be stronger than this Phobos guy, it sounds like these dragons are bound to it along with it's natural power right?" Tsume said to her as a heart was equal to another heart.

"Your math is accurate, it is how the guardians have functioned for centuries." the woman now known as Xin Jing said to them "But the…'rulers' of Kandrakar keep them imprisoned and bound to steal their power and are using 50% of the heart to power the veil." she said to them.

Tsunade felt better knowing she was being honest now "There is something you're still not telling us, what is it?" she asked her.

Xin Jing sighed "When you came to this world, something followed a powerful evil I haven't sensed before, when I tried to follow it, it only had one thing in mind…kill Naruto Uzumaki." she said seeing their shock "It wasn't human, it was as if evil had been given form and older than even me." she said to them.

Konan wondered what inhuman thing wanted to end Naruto 'Older than her.' she thought to herself 'Could it be…something to do with the Six Paths?' she thought to herself as the Sage of Six Paths had many items from his time, the hidden cloud certainly had a few items as did various villages, but for something to be alive was a scary thought.

'Yeah that helps.' Tsunade thought as it shortened the list, but Naruto had been with many such entities Orochimaru being included in that list given he was a living corpse.

"I ask that you reframe from telling him any of this." Xin Jing said to them.

"And why the hell should we do that?" Tsume asked not seeing a benefit to withholding information from their commrade.

"Your friend is a noble soul, he's honest, kind, but very impertinant." Xin Jing said as they agreed fully "I feel the council will monitor him given his…similarities to the heart of Kandrakar and the powers he wields, then they will make their move." she said to them.

"This seems like a simple bait mission, leave the intended target out in the open to draw the enemy out, but what is the move they will make, Naruto will be taking the risk and will have no knowledge of these people prior, why not inform him?" Haku asked as she had seen this tactic before.

"One of them can read minds to an extent given he has the ability of foresight, in truth he has reached a level of empath that allows him to read a person and their intentions." Xin Jing said to them.

"And with Naruto wearing his heart on his sleeves, he'll be read like an open book." Tsunade said as Naruto had shown prior to have extraordinary sensory potential she could only compare to her grandmother, if this man was similar that was indeed an advantage he had against them "It sucks, but we must do it." she said to them seeing their surprise and saw they were going to challenge her "Listen I don't like it either, but Naruto isn't blind, should the worst come, he can react, but we still have his back." she said as they had little choice as Xin Jing was helping them a lot and had asked for little in return.

They were silent but nodded.

"We tell him after they make contact." Konan said as if Naruto had a good or bad reaction, it would hide his true intent as if he had a bad reaction the negative emotions will hide it and if it was good, he'd be skeptical and try to find out the truth.

"If he asks, I will not lie to him." Haku said to them seriously.

"Can I ask why the loyalty?" Tsunade asked her as she seemed as loyal to Naruto as Shizune was to her.

"I lost my purpose." Haku said to them "Before I came…back, I heard my master's voice, he wanted me to live and I owe Naruto a true debt, he never saw me as the enemy, in the end he saw me as a friend and I shall honor that friendship." she said as Naruto was her last precious someone and she would hold onto that as long as possible.

Konan was reminded of herself and Nagato, she liked Haku for that reason.

Xin Jing smiled as she looked at the unconscious Naruto 'You are a hero, one who will save not only the dragons, but perhaps other worlds if not all worlds as well.' she thought with a smirk as she sensed the boy's spirit, his soul was immense, it was as if she was looking at the sun.

"Ugh am I dead?" Naruto asked feeling sore.

"I could easily make that happen." the nine tails said to Naruto as he was laying before his cage and as Naruto looked at him, he barely contained his urge to jump seeing a familiar ripple pattern belonging to his father 'It was bad enough seeing Pain with it, now this idiot.' he thought as his father "Look at your reflection." he said simply knowing this idiot did not know what he had possessed.

Naruto lifted himself of the ground and looked down, jumping in shock seeing his eyes were now that of the rinnegan "H-How?" he asked wondering how this was possible.

'Chakra transference.' the nine tails thought to himself as doujutsu were much harder than people realized, one couldn't just implant them like with Kakashi, doujutsu had a unique chakra signature all on their own and while similar to the user there was a slight difference in the genetic make up of the eyes, Nagato activated the dormant genes in Naruto which allowed him to awaken it, he had known the Uzumaki were of the last of the clans closely related to his father as he too survived the unsealing, it was his genetic marker.

"I believe in you and Naruto."

'Damn.' the nine tails thought to himself as that single sentence was pounding in his brain 'This reprieve won't last forever boy, I want to see it.' he thought as he was giving Naruto one chance, to prove a thought he had discarded long ago and wouldn't have considered if not for hearing his father's voice.

"Whoa." Naruto said somehow deactivating the rinnegan seeing his normal eyes.

'Great it is like the sharingan.' the nine tails thought to himself in annoyance "Brat listen to me." he said getting Naruto's attention.

"What you gonna try and take me over again or wait scream at my dad?" Naruto asked him sarcastically.

The nine tails didn't jump at that particular bait as he knew Naruto was trying to piss him off "No, but something is different about our seal." he said as he had assumed it was the rinnegan, but something else was at play.

Naruto was about to ask what, but he got his answer when he felt the water, it felt like pure chakra was in it and even past that, the very stone floor itself was filled with it.

'Odd, the nature energy here is-!?' the nine tails thought in pure shock as a beast made of pure chakra he was naturally in tune with nature 'We're in another world.' he thought thinking this was bad, Naruto had time traveled already, while the blonde idiot didn't remember thanks to Minato sealing his memories, but he most definitely did, whenever one traveled through time and space, there was a 'taint' to them, but the taint wasn't them it was this entire place 'I need more information.' he thought needing Naruto to get the hell out of here "We'll speak another time, maybe I'll give you an idea of how to use that rinnegan." he said to him.

Naruto was a bit taken back by the 'helpful' remark he made, but before he knew it, he drifted to consciousness.

Naruto opened his eyes and the first thing to greet his sight was Tsunade "Why the hell are you looking like a teenager?" he asked her as she looked way to young.

"Long story kid." Tsunade said thinking it be funny given he could no longer call her 'granny' "Also you have someone here to see you." she said as Haku came into view.

Naruto was shocked to see Haku, he was surprised to see her, he touched her faced and recoiled when he felt her warm skin "You're here." he said in surprise "What did Nagato do raise the dead of people all over?" he asked genuinely curious wondering how Haku was here.

Konan was also skeptical wondering how Haku was here as from what she gathered this person was very extremely dead and not even in the vicinity of Nagato's technique.

"I don't believe Nagato did this." Haku said to him as she kissed his cheek.

Tsunade saw Naruto instead of blushing turned green and pale "What's your problem, cute girl kisses you and you look like your gonna be sick?" she asked him wondering what his deal was.

"Um granny, she's a he." Naruto said before Tsume bursted out laughing, Haku looked at him with a raised brow, and Haku blushed in embarrassment.

"...Are you playing a prank, Naruto?" Tsunade asked as he looked very serious and she wasn't sure.

"No, I swear!" Naruto said raising his hands "Haku told me he was a boy when we met." he said to her as now all eyes were on Haku.

"I-I did that to hide my gender Naruto." Haku said blushing remembering that time "I am a woman…genetically." she said to him.

Naruto blinked at her "I swear I get this gag all the time." he said to himself.

Tsunade was curious about that then remembered before he left the village he had a few women who posed as men to hide their identity, Haruna of the Land of Vegetables and Toki of the Land of Birds 'Come to think of it, he had a lot of princesses making requests for him.' she thought as Naruto certainly left an impression on influential women, it was honestly the biggest bargaining chip the village had, he literally formed those alliances and saved each of them.

"To be honest it isn't as uncommon as you think Naruto." Tsume said to him having stopped laughing a few seconds ago "Female shinobi dressed as men to avoid certain…situations they would wind up in if the enemy knew they were female, not all ninjas are good." she said as she taught her daughter this a long time ago, ninja could be depraved in various ways some women chose death over…that option, so they got creative over the years, most taking the route Haku did "Hell it was because of this we weaponized our looks." she said as many kunoichi dressed to attract others in order to draw attention or distract their opponent, it certainly gave them an edge, and it worked greatly for seduction missions.

"It is true, hiding ones appearance even if slightly can do much." Konan said as her Akatsuki jacket hid her curves and feminine features.

Naruto sighed as he understood better as having Jiraiya for a sensei showed him how women could fight with their looks and defeat someone attracted to them.

"Naruto, I know after your battle with Pain, you deserve a week long rest, but we have something to tell you." Tsunade said as she would keep her word to Xin Jing for now at least.

(1 hour later)

"So we can't get back?" Naruto asked Tsunade wanting to hear her say it.

"No, at least not at present." Tsunade said to him as that was a white lie, she had some thoughts that Kandrakar might which was a reason she wasn't telling Naruto, if the council became their enemy after meeting him they were screwed 'And another is…' she thought looking at his eyes, his now normal eyes 'If he can master the rinnegan, and figure out what Nagato did, he may be able to bring us home.' she thought not telling him that as Naruto had to much pressure on himself already, she told Tsume and she agreed as while the Inuzuka matriarch missed her children, she respected Naruto for all he had done and sacrifice in order to save the people she cared for and save the village, they'd tell him later on and if he failed they'd accept it.

'Kid might've saved Hana.' Tsume thought as the animal clinic was more along the center of the village, when it got blasted by Pain, Katsuyu didn't find Hana, she believed her pup was safe, but worst case was she died and thanks to Naruto he was able to get Nagato to revive everyone in the village, he may have saved her daughter and fellow clansmen lives, so she'd accept this fate to not allow him to wallow in a burden he didn't need or do anything to deserve being responsible for.

"Naruto." Haku said getting his attention "Do you remember when we first fought?" she asked getting a nod "Do you remember when my mask broke and you stopped attacking me?" she asked as she remembered it, at first he was an animal with no way for her to stop him, but when he saw her face, he looked at her with the same gaze he had in that field when she was collecting herbs.

"You were my friend, I didn't want to hurt a friend." Naruto said still feeling as he had then.

Konan was impressed as even as a young child he was like this.

Haku smiled at that "Yes, but you didn't want to fight, I saw it, you wanted the fighting to stop as you didn't see the need or point, I was…your friend and that was all that mattered." she said as it may have been the views of a child, but those views were still strong "For a moment I thought maybe this is a second chance." she said as she didn't know what it was a second chance for.

"Ok, I'm not following?" Naruto asked her curious to what she was getting at.

"Naruto this world can be a second chance." Haku said seeing him open his mouth "I'm not saying give up on finding a way home." she said to him knowing what he was gonna say "All I'm saying is maybe, we can be something else here, something better." she said not the best with words.

Naruto sighed, he got it and nodded all the same.

"Now, we need a game plan." Tsunade said as they had a choice between here and Earth, they took a vote earlier when Naruto was unconscious and Earth was the best choice to live, Xin Jing gave her an idea how to forge documents "We need a way of income." she said as so far all she had was they make clones to do day jobs for them.

Naruto was silent before having an idea, he pulled out a scroll and unsealed copies of a certain book series.

Konan felt like face planting seeing the book her master had written after his first one, as a woman, it brought her great shame, and as Jiraiya's student…she wanted to castrate him as in one of his books one of the main characters in his book was a woman who matched her features almost perfectly.

"Well, it is better than nothing." Tsunade said seeing her deceased teammate's book series "Wait hold on, why do you have all his books?" she asked never seeing Naruto read it before and when he came back and gave Kakashi his new book, he said he didn't get past page 10.

"Oh before I left for Mt Myoboku, I got Pervy Sage's will." Naruto said to her.

"That idiot had a will and all he left was copies of his book?" Tsunade asked wondering what the hell kinda will was that 'I swear if he spent his life on booze and whores.' she thought to herself knowing the three prohibitions were wasted on that man as he did them every day.

"No, actually he left me all the rights to his book series, a library of sealing books, autographed copies of his books, and a bunch of other storage scrolls." Naruto said to her as he didn't get around to it as he was depressed after his passing, but he did have it on his person.

"And given how many perverts revere it you might make a killing." Tsume said to him 'Or rather, you would've.' she thought as they were no longer home.

"Well we at least have a source of possible income." Tsunade said as it'd take time for the book to circulate "What was in the other scrolls?" she asked curiously.

"No idea." Naruto said taking a few out "Elemental Toad Style ninjutsu?" he said in confusion.

"It's secret arts only toads and toad summoners can use." Tsunade said as it was the same with Katsuyu "Summoners can learn the ninjutsu of the species they are bound with they even use regular ninjutsu." she said to him.

Naruto remembered his earliest fights with Gamabunta and his children, they could use unique chakra natures for collaborations.

"Some of the ninjutsu here is pretty high, most of it only B-rank though." Konan said looking over the scroll.

Naruto pulled out another scroll and as soon as he did a few pairs of familiar jackets came out.

Tsunade, Tsume, Konan, and Haku were shocked as the jackets were practically identical, but they were more focused on the white jacket with flames.

'You left that in your will.' Tsunade thought in frustration as that was a terrible move, for Naruto to learn of his father due to his death.

"Dad's jacket." Naruto said surprising everyone.

'His father was the Fourth Hokage!' Haku and Konan thought to themselves.

"You know!?" Tsunade said loudly before reminding herself they were in enemy territory.

"When the nine tails tried to take over, dad was in the seal, he said he sealed his chakra into it so he could help me if the seal got to a certain point." Naruto said to her.

Tsunade was silent as the Reaper Death Seal was…a unique jutsu in on itself as it used the literal shinigami to seal things with a seal the user intended, but it made the seal perfect with no mistakes, a literal act of a god 'To incorporate your chakra, your life essence into a seal.' she thought as it was beyond what a seal master could do.

"Your father was the Fourth Hokage." Haku said in surprise seeing Naruto slightly differently as to be a child of a kage was on of reverence, she knew that, but when she met Naruto, he seemed…just like her before she met Zabuza 'What happened.' she thought before remembering what he said moments ago 'I see, so he's a jinchuriki.' she thought as Yagura was one as well, she once looked into it even meeting a jinchuriki once by chance in the form of the 6 tails, he mildly spoke to Zabuza, but he had the same look as her and he told them he as well was a rogue of the land of water.

Naruto continued to look over the scrolls.

"Tsunade, look." Tsume said pointing to Naruto's sage jacket.

Tsunade saw it and was wondering what Tsume was getting at.

"His jacket says 7th Hokage." Tsume said to her quietly "And Jiraiya sealed that jacket in his will." she said pointing it out that this was before Naruto fought Pain.

"I swear." Tsunade said pinching the bridge of her nose 'In your death, you left us with more questions than answers.' she thought to herself as if Jiraiya had placed that in his will, then that meant that the prophecy was still in play 'Maybe, Naruto is the key.' she thought to herself and wondered for a moment if they should go back 'Here, there are no Akatsuki.' she thought to herself as without Naruto, the Akatsuki plan would forever be on hold, she'd have to ask Konan later.

Before anyone could say anything else, Naruto opened a scroll and out came a three-pronged kunai with a familiar jutsu formula to Tsunade.

'It's the base formula.' Tsunade thought as she had seen the technique her grand uncle had made, he had taught her sealing along with her grandmother, her grandmother being the superior teacher, but she never took to the art as well as she did.

Naruto stored that away for later and then found some ninjutsu scrolls for earth and fire 'These were some of Pervy Sage's techniques.' he thought to himself as he knew those were his chakra natures.

Tsunade felt as if this was enough, they needed to leave, Xin Jing told them about tears in the veil and where one would soon open, she wondered something though 'Did Jiraiya know about this?' she thought as the Great Toad Sage was older than anyone, the reason she had so much trust in his words was he was there, with the Sage of Six Paths and taught him sage arts.

(1 hour later)

The group of ninjas made it to the portal.

"Kinda crazy we're jumping through another portal to another world, intentionally." Tsume said with a chuckle as Kuromaru sat on her head

"Do we have much choice?" Haku asked as the nymph explained that their original world was a mix between the two worlds Earth and Meridian, Earth was more advanced lacking in any magic or oddities while Meridian was full of oddities and magic, Earth was clearly the safer option strategically in every way.

"None whatsoever." Konan said to her as Earth was somewhere they could regain their bearings and learn about the situation in the most safe environment.

"Do you guys hear that?" Naruto asked hearing something loud.

Everyone looked back and saw a teenager running from a giant snake man.

'Guess every universe has one.' Tsunade thought as she found it disturbing Orochimaru kidnapped children mostly if not all young men or men in general.

"Listen you guys go and I'll handle this." Naruto said to them.

"Your Rinnegan may have spacial attributes." Tsunade said to him as Xin Jing informed them that Naruto's rinnegan could manipulate certain laws, bending them to an extent, that was information they didn't know, but given it opened a portal here it carried much weight "You can seal the portal if you focus your gaze." she said having limited knowledge on HOW doujutsu worked as she had only ever analyzed it for battle.

"With his magic he may be able to 'seal' a portal all on his own." Xin Jing had said to her before leaving after informing her about the portals and the range the rinnegan had.

Naruto nodded 'I gotta figure out how to use this.' he thought to himself.

'A trial by fire.' Konan thought as Nagato learned his Six Paths ninjutsu through trial, error, and research, she wondered how far Naruto could get on his first attempt.

The nine tails was bored as he could sense the ability of this enemy, but something caught his attention, footsteps, multiple footsteps "Fourth Hokage." he said in pure rage, incredibly pissed as it had not even been a full day since Naruto saw his father and even he didn't know that Minato was here, he had a strong guess who the second was.

"You are close, nine tails." a more friendly but authoritative voice said to him.

"It's good to see you…brother." another voice said to him.

The nine tails was shocked about who stood before him "This…isn't possible…you're both-!?" he was saying not even sure how to finish his thoughts.

'Who is that?' Caleb the rebel leader thought to himself seeing the teen that stood at the portal looked about his age, but had whisker marks so he assumed maybe a possible animal connection like Cedric.

'Ok how did Pain do it.' Naruto thought to himself activating his rinnegan 'He did his techniques with one or both hands.' he thought wondering if it was like how he did the rasengan in his early training with both hands when the rasengan could be done with just one hand "Hit the deck!" he said to the approaching teen.

Caleb rarely took warnings, but the hair standing on the back of his neck told him he should listen, he dived to his side just in the nick of time.

Cedric being what he was, a large snake monster allowed him to see in different ranges compared to humans and even regular snakes, his sight was able to see magic and he was surprised when he saw Naruto raise his hands and magic seemed to pour out of him.

"Almighty Push!" Naruto said using Nagato's signature move.

"How did you do that!" the nine tails said glaring at one of the two inside the seal.

"I helped Naruto regulate his chakra." one of the two men said "Naruto while impressive has a violent chakra, it is hard to control, I was the same as a child." he said with a smirk.

The nine tails held partial responsibility for that as Naruto had been bathing in his chakra ever since he was conceived and continued to do so ever since he had been sealed inside him, it was also why Naruto failed so much as a child, it wasn't because he wasn't trying, it was because he was trying to hard, he used more chakra then the technique could handle which was why his clones sucked they suffered from chakra poisoning, the multishadow clone jutsu was perhaps the easiest technique for him it used much more chakra than the average clone technique.

"This boy is truly something, it is nice to see that the will of fire burns ever brightly, no, it burns greater than it ever did before." the other man said.

'To think that the brat had THIS inside him.' the nine tails thought as this changed everything.

(with Naruto)

'What the hell was that?' Caleb thought in shock as one second he was hitting the dirt and the next he saw Cedric get sent flying and now the blonde was on the ground…and his eyes were sparking.

'Damn it!' Naruto thought as he looked at the portal and soon a blue beam shot out.

(other side of the portal)

"Wait stop!" Haku said having seen seals in action before, the girls they had met on the otherside of the portal were interesting to say the least, but the necklace around the redhead was trying to close the portal, the blue vortex was becoming clear somehow showing what was on the other side "Naruto!" she said in relief, but also saw he was sealing the portal.

Tsunade immediately saw what was happening with his eyes and the pain Naruto looked like he was in 'Is he still adjusting to the rinnegan?' she thought as he spent so much time unconscious she thought it was over.

A loud roar was heard and soon they saw Cedric was back up again.

The portal soon closed.

'Shit.' Tsume thought as Naruto was still on the other side.

Konan frowned thinking Naruto's trial by fire just got way more complicated.

(with Naruto)

'Shit.' Naruto thought dodging Cedric's tail swings and his claws 'I need to end this fast.' he thought as he had an idea what was happening 'My chakra is being disrupted.' he thought having it been disrupted by a device or some external source 'I can only mold enough for another technique.' he thought wondering if he should use the Rasengan or Almighty Push 'If I use the Almighty Push, I'll hit him, if I use the Rasengan it'll damage him.' he thought as there were pros and cons to both as he needed to use a clone for the rasengan, but given the state of his chakra that was dicey and while the Almighty Push was absolute when in range, he was still a novice given how much damage Nagato could do with one alone.

'Hold out your hand.' a voice in Naruto's head said to him.

Naruto didn't know the voice, but he'd swear it sounded familiar, as if he had a long time ago, he held out his hand.

'Channel your power, feel both the chakra and magic inside you and let your technique take form Naruto Uzumaki.' the voice said before disappearing.

Naruto held out his hand and remembered all three steps of the Rasengan, he focused on the the many times he had used it, the many times he had trained with it, his father may have made it, but he made it his own.

Caleb watched the newcomer form a ball of what looked like pure magic, but it slowly changed, he saw the small swirling spirals condense closer to the center making the ball glow brighter shining as bright as a star in a black night.

'What is he?' Cedric thought as he had seen the boy send him flying with magic, that alone made him curious of the boy, but seeing him wield it as freely as the prince he served was unnerving.

Naruto saw Cedric keeping his distance 'I get one shot, I need to aim for his mid section.' he thought as that'd do the most damage.

Caleb watched as Naruto dashed at Cedric, he used his tail to swat Naruto away, but Naruto jumped grabbing on with his free hand and ran along the tail Cedric tried to shake him off, but when he got close he doubled down and tried to slice Naruto with his claws.

'There!' Naruto thought dropping down sliding underneath his claws dodging them entirely getting closer "Rasengan!" he yelled slamming it into his chest.

Caleb watched in pure shocked as the ball made contact, he had seen Cedric walk away from pretty much each and every attack thrown his way, but this one seemed to finally hit the mark, it began to shred his skin as he saw blood begin to come out of his, but before it could did any deeper it sent Cedric crashing into a group of trees.

'Damn, that hurt.' Naruto thought as his chakra felt crazy at the moment, he dropped to one knee and saw the teen from earlier approach him before he blacked out.

(Naruto's seal)

Naruto barely opened his eyes and saw two figures looking down at him as he lay in the shallow waters of his seal.

"Rest now Naruto, we shall talk soon when you awaken." a man in red samurai like armor said to him "Oh before I forget, here, you lost this in your battle with Pain." he said putting something around Naruto's neck.

(1 hour later)

"He uses magic?" an elderly woman from inside a waterfall asked Caleb.

"Yeah, he sent Cedric flying like he was nothing." Caleb said to her "Mage can you heal him?" he asked as the rebellion needed someone like this as magic was a game changer, even if he was weaker than Phobos, it still meant that he could be a much-valued asset.

The woman walked out and approached the child, she bent down and opened his eyes, she was shocked to see a blue ripple pattern eye "Stay here." she said to Caleb as he nodded, and she retreated back into the waterfall.

Inside the waterfall was a chamber, it looked like a small home with a library.

'That eye, I have seen it before.' the Mage thought before finding a stone tablet of a man with magatama 'The Sage of Six Paths.' she thought as it was a myth one she didn't believe as the tome was ancient, even by Meridian standards, the passage spoke of a man who was akin to a god, it said a reincarnation would one day appear of the man and that man would be the Child of Prophecy, then it spoke of others like him 'The Otsutsuki?' she thought in confusion seeing the same ripple pattern, but this time the people had horns unlike the sage 'A warning?' she read to herself 'Beware the Otsutsuki, beware their appearance as destruction is sure to ensue.' she read.

The woman saw no other references 'So this boy, is he a savior or a destroyer.' she thought thinking of the massive pros and cons of letting him live or die.

The Mage then looked at some of the plant life she had in here and saw it growing as if being restored, she looked past the water and saw the boy had a faint glow to him Caleb wasn't picking up on, she contemplated, but ultimately decided to help him.

(few minutes later)

Naruto began to stir 'I swear my head is killing me.' he thought to himself seeing he was inside his seal, but this time noticed he wasn't near the nine tails cage.

"You slept quite a while Naruto." a voice said startling him as he got ready to fight "Jumpy." he said with a chuckle.

Naruto saw his face and was shocked, as the face he was looking at was one he had seen every day when he woke up in the leaf village.

"Naruto Uzumaki, I, am Hashirama Senju, the first Hokage." Hashirama said with a genuine smile.

Naruto was shocked beyond belief when he heard the man introduce himself.

"You had a chunk of my necklace on your person before you left our world, I restored it." Hashirama said to him as Naruto looked down to see the necklace he had never taken off after beating Tsunade in their bet.

"Greetings Naruto, a pleasure to finally meet in person." another man said getting Naruto's attention as he saw a man in white robes "You haven't heard of me before, but I'll introduce myself all the same, I am Ashura Otsutsuki, son of the Sage of Six Paths." he said seeing Naruto even more shocked.

(few minutes later)

"So, I'm a reincarnation?" Naruto asked as they both nodded.

"I understand your shock, it was the same for me." Hashirama said to him as Ashura explained to him much earlier "This never happened for me when I was alive and Madara always spoke his mind so it was the same for him, I believe something has changed." he said as Ashura was just as clueless.

"He's right we need to assume Sasuke has also awakened Indra and Madara as well." Ashura said to him while concerned he wasn't as worried as Sasuke had very similar past lives while each of Naruto's was different.

"We believe your body is awakening Naruto, in a way not even we would know." Hashirama said to him.

"The others told me that I could use all the elements and that I had golden chains coming out of me." Naruto said to them.

"That is a result of your Uzumaki bloodline." Hashirama said explaining how the Uzumaki were one of the few clans that could trace back to the Sage of Six Paths "We believe your body is awakening all of your hidden genetic potential, it's rare, but it can happen." he said having learned that with his own blood as his brother was…an oddity for sure, but he examined his blood when he had his first child as he wondered how his child didn't develop any of his wood style and it turned out his blood made or caused genetic anomalies in people who couldn't withstand his cells.

"Can you help me with the rinnegan?" Naruto asked Ashura curiously.

"Yes, I watched Pain closely, I have seen my father use it and have seen Nagato use it effectively even in his state." Ashura said as Nagato was…creative in his own way, but couldn't utilize the rinnegan's other aspects such as the elemental powers or chakra abilities as with the rinnegan one could more freely weave chakra.

"Naruto you should know, you seem to be awakening our abilities as well." Hashirama said to him.

Naruto was now confused "What, how we're not blood-related?" he asked not understanding how that was possible.

"Given you are a reincarnation it could mean that the chakra of your past lives are so intertwined it's possible for you to gain the abilities that we wielded." Ashura said as it certainly was interesting.

"Try this, Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu!" Hashirama said making a wooden dragon appear, he showed Naruto the hand signs and when he did he made a dragon appear, but unlike Hashirama it was missing some characteristics like the fins along the back and the whiskers "I see you retained the abilities, but not our inherit knowledge of our techniques." he said to him.

"What does that mean?" Naruto asked still slight shocked he could use Wood Style.

"You only get the abilities we had, but not the skill." Ashura said to him as it was amusing, Ashura made a hand sign a many scrolls appeared "Hashirama and I made these scrolls, they should be able to leave your seal and become solid." he said having to make them actually solid "They contain the written instructions of our techniques and how to do them." he said before making another scroll appear "This is a scroll with chakra exercises, you have done tremendously well to this point." he said proudly "But you must improve, you must challenge yourself with chakra exercises instead of one leaf do many, instead of just walking on water add weights to your body to adjust, you must push your chakra control further to improve your techniques, I helped you with your chakra control and your rasengan went farther than ever before, imaging having that level by mastering your chakra control." he said to him seeing the gears turn in Naruto's head.

A familiar sight began to show as both began to fade.

"We used up our chakra on the scrolls." Hashirama said to Ashura "We leave the rest to you Naruto, you are a truly honorable ninja, it makes me proud of the village, but I am still sad for the injustice you lived with." he said as his wife Mito was never seen in a bad light, people honestly revered her given she could fully suppress the nine tails chakra, but seeing Naruto's memories of his childhood made him sad for how low his people could sink, if Madara was right about one thing is that hatred is ever present in their world, he failed there, of that he was sure.

"Naruto, you must understand something." Ashura said to him seriously "I doubt Madara and Indra will be as… helpful as we were to Sasuke, but remember what Itachi Uchiha said, Sasuke could be dyed any color." he said as it was without a doubt his brother and Madara would try and alter Sasuke's course.

"I killed Madara and even now I wonder if that was a mistake." Hashirama said to him.

"I let my brother follow his own path and that is how this all started." Ashura said to him as he honestly thought Indra would come back and be the older brother he once knew.

The two previous lives smiled at Naruto as in the end, he never stopped trying, he never gave in, even as a child Naruto surpassed them in will alone, because he never gave up on the bond he shared with Sasuke, it made them wonder, if they had pursued their counterparts in the same fashion would things be different.

Naruto disappeared from the seal.

"Thank you for not mentioning me." a calm voice said to them, he was wearing a black shirt and pants with fishnets showing at the end of his limbs, the sharingan present on his face.

"I believe you should inform Naruto of what you did to him Itachi." Hashirama said as he knew of their last meeting.

A crow soon appeared and landed on his shoulder.

"I owe Naruto a debt greater than I could ever repay." Itachi said as despite their vast differences in personality, they were cut from the same cloth with that and the fact he continuously fought for his brother he'd do anything for Naruto should he need it "But my interactions are rather limited." he said as he never expected to become conscious with the chakra he gave Naruto and awaken in this seal.

"At the very least you provided us with information on visual prowess for Naruto." Ashura said to him as when he was writing about the rinnegan he had Itachi's input on certain visual abilities and and how he could operate it.

"While I am proud to be an Uchiha, I must forsake my pride to help Naruto." Itachi said as there were ins and outs to visual prowess besides the obvious things people saw, and he gave all those secrets to Naruto, something no Uchiha would have done as it was the ultimate betrayal to a clan with dojutsu.

Itachi watched carefully as both the First Hokage and Ashura fade away from existence, he walked down a corridor in Naruto's seal 'I truly hope you can save us Naruto.' he thought entrusting the future to Naruto, he then vanished.

(with Naruto)

"Whoa." Naruto said shooting up looking at himself.

"Hey." Caleb said awkwardly "Thanks for the assist." he said as he was beyond glad for what he did to Cedric.

"Ugh why do I feel like I got hit by a train." Naruto said before he got up and walked to the water and took a drink.

'His eyes are normal.' the Mage thought not revealing herself just yet, she wanted to get a feel of who this person was.

"So, how did you do…what you did?" Caleb asked him.

"I have…powers." Naruto said as the others informed him that chakra was unknown in this world and only magic "I have my own magical powers." he said to him.

The Mage was now even more curious that he had internal magical power, she almost thought he was of Phobos' blood, but she knew for a fact the sibling child was female and there was no other child born around heir's time as Naruto looked to be the same age.

The Mage watched at both talked, she knew Naruto was keeping things to himself, but overall he was truthful.

"Listen portals are somewhat common, they appear randomly, but it varies between openings." Caleb said to him "But there is something I need help with, can you help me?" he asked him getting a good feel about Naruto.

"Any time." Naruto said to him as he would not stand by while people suffered.

(with Tsunade)

"This is insane." Konan said to Tsunade simply as they were alone in the basement "It will backfire spectacularly." she said to her as there were too many flaws for this cover to remain.

"Listen, we can't risk exposing ourselves." Tsunade said as they all knew the Heart of Kandrakar was from the world, but they didn't know the limits of the heart or if the council was watching.

"So where do we claim we are from?" Konan asked her as that was going to be tricky as if they claimed Earth, the girls would be suspicious as they had powers, if they claimed Meridian then their lack of knowledge would make them reveal themselves.

Tsunade was considering what to say.

"The truth is usually a good place to start." Yan Lin's voice said as she was soon revealed.

'That was true invisibility.' Konan thought as she could see past any camouflage technique.

'Really need to recheck my skills.' Tsunade thought to herself.

They explained the situation not including Xin Jing keeping that bit of information to themselves.

"Huh never took Guardians of the Infinite Realms this seriously till now." Yan Lin said seeing their surprise "Trust me kids, I've seen a lot of stuff that would make your heads spin, don't let the girls know about this though." she said as there was a time and place for things like this "Your thieves right?" she asked as she was getting a vibe off them.

"Ninja." Tsunade and Konan said to them.

"Even better." Yan Lin said totally unfazed "Go to city hall steal, some forms and I'll help you create new identites." she said to them.

"You seem…oddly good and knowledgeable at this." Konan said as being a person who helped run the Akatsuki she was well versed in criminal activities.

"Don't ask questions you aren't able to handle kid." Yan Lin said somehow sounding both sweet and sassy at the same time, she left after that.

"Rare that I meet people my age that can impress me." Tsunade said to herself.

"You may want to fix that." Konan said reminding the woman she wasn't over 50 anymore.

Tsunade knew she was right as this would take some time to adjust to.

"We need a portal." Konan said to her reminding her of Naruto.

"One isn't currently open so we have to wait, we'll go create false identities and Naruto's as well." Tsunade said to her as they needed to be patient.

(1 hour later)

"This is torture." Tsume said as they had to create a paper trail of their 'lives' luckily enough there was an orphanage that got shut down due to so few children, they weren't sure if that was a pro or con yet, but they made it so all of them came from there prior to it's shut down.

"You need a last name." Haku said to Konan as that was the only problem with her records.

Konan was a war orphan, she never had a last name before, but given the circumstance she needed to think of one "Ame." she said as the village of her birth was the closest thing she had to a home, it was where her best and worst memories were.

Tsume finished hers and saw Tsunade working on Naruto's, she was curious to what she wrote down and looked it over "You put his last name as Namikaze?" she asked curiously.

"Believe it or not it's his real last name, my sensei changed it to Uzumaki for people to avoid putting him in danger via Minato's name." Tsunade said as Uzumaki was a more common name then one would believe as before the village was destroyed many Uzumaki scattered all around the elemental nations.

"Does he know much about his origins?" Konan asked as it was kinda sad to learn he went his entire life not knowing who he was or the things about him.

"Not a thing." Tsunade said to them "I myself am quarter Uzumaki and I don't have many of the skills or abilities of my grandmother's clan, I couldn't show Naruto if I wanted to." she said to them.

"I may know something." Haku said getting everyone's attention "I know of various rumors of the Uzumaki having grown up in the land of water, I can probably tell Naruto some of the things I know." she said to them blushing a bit in embarrassment as they all looked at her.

Tsunade closed her eyes and thought to herself most of her thoughts directed toward Naruto, not liking he was alone in enemy territory.
