Hey, guys!
So, I was heavily inspired by the recent Sasha content these days, especially when she teased a cameo in Original Sin that would show Emison back together again. This is kind of how I picture it happening.
"Bye, Moms!"
Lily and Grace took turns jumping on both their mothers' necks and giving them wet kisses on the cheek. Emily and Alison were dropping them in kindergarten before they headed to work. Emily still worked at Rosewood High while Alison managed to land a TA job at Hollis.
Alison sighed as she watched the twins walk away while Emily just stared at her every reaction. Ali had blossomed into an amazing mom despite all her fears that stemmed from all her family issues. In simple moments like that, Emily found herself falling even more in love with her.
She had loved the charming and manipulative Queen Bee with a heart of gold, the broken runaway who came back from the dead, and the beautiful woman who rose from the ashes through all the traumas she (and they) endured together.
She had also loved the woman who fought for their love and didn't let her go. Because Ali threw her divorce papers into a shredder, took the first flight from Oregon to Philadelphia, and came back straight to their home. Emily was alone on that night because the twins were staying with her mom. It was for the best, since Alison had kissed her ferociously as soon as she waltzed back into their house, promising to never leave their family again and that she would never stop loving Emily.
Sex wasn't the best way to handle conflict in a relationship, but they had both needed to feel that connection again. Emily was having trust issues in their relationship, but Alison proved to her, again and again, that she was the one she wanted. And, gosh, Emily did feel desired and cherished on that night.
Alison moved back to Rosewood and into their home and they began anew. Two years later and vows renowned, Emily couldn't help but feel thankful for Alison not giving up on their family because it was all that mattered in the end.
"What are you thinking?" Alison snapped Emily out of her thoughts with that question. She always could feel when her wife was lost in deep thought.
Emily caressed Ali's now dark blonde hair and said, "Thank you for not giving up on us and for coming back on that night."
Alison smiled and kissed her softly.
"You never gave up on me either when we were young, Em. You showed me how to love and I'm so thankful that you gave me the chance to be my wife and the mother of my children."
Emily basked in the warmth of their embrace and felt it bubbling all over her chest. Tears of happiness came to her eyes and she just allowed them to flow down all over her cheeks.
"Don't cry," Alison said as she wiped away those tears, albeit a little confused as to why Emily was getting so emotional in the first place. "Is everything okay?"
Emily chuckled and kissed the inside of her palm. It was supposed to be a big surprise, but Emily felt it settle on the tip of her tongue, dying to slip out. After all these years, she and Alison couldn't keep things from one another. They both felt really bad when they had to lie to each other, hence Emily ruining Ali's proposal right before Aria's marriage.
As the twins grew older and Alison settled down again in Rosewood, they both started to consider the possibility of expanding their family and agreed to have one more baby. They wanted to have the full pregnancy experience they didn't get to have when Alison was pregnant with the twins.
Truth be told, they loved their girls, but the pregnancy had been extremely ill-timed and it had violated them in many ways. Emily had had her eggs stolen and Alison had had an IVF against her will. Plus, they were dealing with the whole A.D. drama and Alison was still recovering from trauma from her wedding to Archer Dunhill. Also, they had just begun to date.
For this new experience, they wanted to make the choices they couldn't make in that first pregnancy. They discussed the timing, the method, and who would get pregnant. Emily offered this time because it would only be fair to Alison and the blonde was okay with it. And just recently they decided that the timing was right because the twins were toddlers already and they both had stable jobs.
What Alison didn't know was that Emily had already been through the fertilization process and that it had worked. Emily couldn't hide the smile plastered all over her face when she found out she was pregnant. She supposed it was how Alison should've felt, that it was how a pregnancy should feel like when the decision is mutual.
She had planned to surprise Alison with a romantic dinner, candlelights, roses, and French food. But now, as she stood in her wife's embrace in the heat of her emotion, Emily knew she couldn't keep it a secret anymore. She wanted to share that happiness with Alison.
"I'm pregnant," she finally revealed, so low that she thought maybe Ali didn't hear it.
But Alison had heard it. She jumped back in surprise, eyes wide and mouth open.
"What?" She asked as though she couldn't believe her ears.
"I'm pregnant, Ali. Our family is growing."
Alison finally broke out a huge smile and crushed Emily in her embrace, pressing soft kisses to her shoulder, neck, face, and mouth, whispering 'I love you's as she made her way up.
"Em, I had no idea you went through it already!"
"I wanted to surprise you," Emily shyly replied.
"This is the best surprise I've had in my life!" Alison squeezed her again and Emily chucked. "I love you and our family so much!"
"Me too, Ali! Emily wrapped her arms around Ali's neck and they both stared at each other lovingly.
Alison finally took the courage to slip her hands under Emily's shirt, rubbing her belly with her thumb. Emily knew Alison wanted to kneel down and kiss her stomach, but they wouldn't do that in public, especially not in front of a school.
"I love you," Alison whispered again, this time against her ear.
Emily thanked God for letting her princess dream come true. She had married her high school sweetheart and best friend and they had a beautiful family. Nothing could ever take that away from her.
