Authoress Note: Welcome to chapter 15. I hope that you enjoy it because I enjoyed writing this episode and this chapter. I hope that you really enjoy it. Sam is missing and where is Aeron going to be. All will be revealed in this chapter. Without further ado Chapter 15.

Chapter 15

Sam had gone missing and Aeron and Dean had no idea of where to look. Sam had promised them that he would never run off. Not like this again which had scared the two of them the last time that he had done it when he went searching for others that were like him. Now he just got up and left not saying a single word and there was no way that they were going to find him. They needed some kind of clue to find him. He had been missing for a few days.

Dean and Aeron had gone out searching for him and hadn't found anything.

Dean leaned against the car. He had his phone to his ear. He was upset that his brother just disappeared. "Ellen, it's me again. Any chance you've heard from him?" Dean was hoping that she had heard something. Anything that would put his mind at ease. "I swear it's like looking for my dad all over again. I'm losing my mind here. I don't think Aeron likes it too much." Dean closed his eyes. "I am trying to not make her worry too much."

Aeron looked over at Dean from inside the car. She let out a soft sigh that there was no information from Ash. She had gotten off of the phone with Ash and he couldn't come up with anything. It was empty. She Was worried about Sam. This was not normal. Not for him disappearing and not wanting to be found. He had promised her and Dean both that they would not have to worry about him running off to do something stupid.

"No, I've called him a thousand times, there's nothing but voicemail. Aeron's tried calling him too. We have no idea where he went or why. Sam's just gone." His phone beeped at him. "Hang on." He pulled the phone away and saw that it was his brother calling him. He quickly answered it. "Sammy? Where the hell are you? Are you okay?" His eyes widened. "Hey, hey, hey. Calm down. Where are you? Alright, don't move. Aeron and I are on our way." He hung up and quickly got into his car.

"Was that Sam?" Aeron asked concern etched in her voice and across her face.

"Yeah he called." Dean said starting the car up. "And we are going to him."

Aeron let out a sigh of relief. "That's good."

"He's panicking though."

"What happened?"

"I don't know. I don't know why he was panicking, but we're going to find out." Dean said driving towards where Sam was staying.

SNSNSN

Dean and Aeron walked down to room 109 where Sam was staying.

Dean knocked on the door. "Sam, it's me. Sam!" Dean tried the door and it was unlocked. He walked into the room.

Aeron walked in behind him. She looked at Sam. He was sitting still. He hadn't moved since they walked into the room.

Dean walked over to his brother. "Sam? Hey."

"Hey, Dean." Sam said brokenly.

Dean kneeled in front of him. "Are you bleeding?"

"I tried to wash it off."

Dean saw Sam's shirt was covered in blood. He grabbed at it searching for a wound. "Oh my god."

"I don't think it's my blood."

Aeron was glued to where she was. She had never heard Sam so broken. Never. Not like this.

"Whose is it?" Dean asked, looking up at his brother.

"I don't know." He said softly.

"Sam, what the hell happened?"

"Dean." Sam looked up at his brother. "I don't remember anything."

Aeron gasped. That was not a good sign.

Dean looked at Aeron. "Stay with him please. I'm going to get some information alright."

Aeron bit her lip. She nodded her head. "Okay."

Dean handed her Sam's bag. "Sammy try to get changed."

Aeron walked over to Sam. "Come on Sam… I don't think that you want to be covered in blood." She said softly.

Sam got up onto his feet taking his bag from her.

Dean slipped out of the room to see what kind of information that he could get from the guy that had told him what room his brother was in.

Sam walked into the bathroom with a new set of clothes to change into.

Aeron sat down on the edge of the bed biting her lip. It was bad that he couldn't remember anything. It could have meant a few things, but… the one that stood out the most was demonic possession in her eyes.

Sam came out of the bathroom.

Dean came back into the room.

Sam looked at his brother. "What'd you find out?"

"You checked in two days ago under the name of Richard Sambora. Of course, I think the scariest part about this whole thing is the fact that you're a Bon Jovi fan."

"Dean." Aeron said looking at the elder brother.

Dean let out a sigh. "Your room's been quiet, nobody's noticed anything unusual."

"You mean no one saw me walking around covered in blood?" Sam questioned his brother.

"Yeah. that's what I mean."

"Then how the hell did I get here, Dean? What happened to me?"

"I don't know. But you're, you're okay, and that's what matters. Everything else we can deal with."

"Oh really? Cause what if I hurt someone? Or worse?"

"Sam…"

"What if this is what dad warned you about?" Sam questioned his brother.

"Sam…" Aeron said softly.

"Hey, whoa, whoa, come on man, let's not jump the gun here. We don't know what happened. We've just got to treat this like any other job. What's the last thing you remember."

Sam sat down on the bed next to Aeron. "Just me, you, and Ry, just, in that motel room in West Texas, going out to grab some burgers, and…"

"West Texas?" Aeron asked.

"That was, that was over a week ago." Dean said, looking at Sam.

"That's it."

Dean looked at him stunned.

"Next thing I knew I was sitting here. Bloody. Felt like I'd been asleep for a month."

"Okay. Retrace your steps. The manager said you left yesterday afternoon and he never saw you come back, so,." Dean pulled the curtain back and found a bloody fingerprint on the window. "Hey."

Aeron got up and walked over to the window. "Oh my god…"

SNSNSN

The three of them walked outside of the motel and it was daylight, but rain was falling around them.

"Recognize anything?" Dean asked, looking around the area.

Sam looked around. "Not really."

They went towards a parking garage out the back.

"Wait."

"What?" Dean and Aeron asked.

"I think I was here."

"You remember?" Dean asked, looking at his brother.

"Not really, it just… feels familiar you know?"

Dean shrugged and went to the nearest garage.

Sam looked over to the second one. He pointed to it. "Try that one."

Dean pointed to it.

"Yeah."

Dean tugged on the padlock. "Okay."

"Wai."

Aeron looked at him in concern. "What is it Sam?"

Sam pulled out a key. He gave them a look.

Dean took the key and unlocked it. He raised his eyebrows at his brother. He pulled the door open to reveal a beat up VW beetle. "Oh please tell me you didn't steal this."

Sam fidgeted.

"Dean." Aeron said, shaking her head.

The three of them went inside of the garage.

Sam touched the steering wheel. He pulled his hand back and there was some blood on it. "More blood."

Dean looked in the back seat. "Sam. Backseat." Dean said pointing.

Sam reached down and picked up a blood stained knife. He stared at it. "You think I used this on someone?"

"I'm not thinking about anything."

Sam looked at Aeron.

Aeron shook her head. "I don't think you did this Sam."

Sam looked around and wiped the knife handle off inside of his jacket.

Dean picked up a pack of cigarettes. "Okay now this is disturbing. Come on, man, this couldn't have been you. Had to have been someone else, somebody who, uh." He smelled the pack. "Smoked menthols."

"Here. Gas receipt. Few towns over."

"I guess we will go there to find out." Aeron said softly.

The brothers nodded their heads.

SPSNPN

Sam, Dean, and Aeron pulled up in front of the small gas station.

"Alright. Receipt for ten gallons at pump number two. Are you getting any, uh, any goosebumps yet? God this looks familiar, deja vu vibes?" Dean asked, looking at his brother.

Sam shook his head as he got out of the car.

"Maybe someone inside will remember you. Come on."

The three of them go into the store.

The clerk looked up in shock and then his face turned to anger. "You. Outta here now, I'm calling the cops."

Aeron's eyes went wide.

"Are you talking to him?" Dean asked, jabbing his thumb towards his brother.

"Yeah, I'm talking to him. Jerk comes in yesterday, stinks drunk, grabs a forty from the fridge, starts chugging."

"This guy? You're drinking malt liquor?" Dean asked, looking over at Sam.

"Not after he whipped the friggin' bottle at my head."

"This guy?"

"What, am I speaking Urdu?"

Aeron rolled her eyes.

"Look, I'm really sorry if I did anything…" Sam said, trying to apologize.

"Tell your story walkin', pal. Po-po will be here in five."

"Wait, wait, put down the phone. Aeron.."

Aeron looked at Dean. "Yeah?"

"Get Sam out in the car."

"Want me to come back in?"

Dean shook his head.

"Okay." She grabbed Sam's arm. "Come on Sam."

"But Dean…" Sam pleaded with his brother.

"Go wait in the car with Aeron."

Sam let out a sigh and allowed Aeron to take him out of the convenience store. Sam looked at Aeron. "This is my fault…"

"Sam…"

He looked into her eyes. He saw the concern in her eyes.

"We don't know if you did this."

"But I think I did."

Aeron shook her head. "I don't think you did." She told him softly. "This isn't you Sam."

"And you know me?" He asked her.

Aeron put her hand on his shoulder. "Yes, I know enough that you wouldn't do this Sam."

Dean came out of the store with three candy bars in his hands. "Come on, let's go."

The three of them got into the car.

SNSNSN

They were going down a dark road since night had fallen and they were trying to figure out what Sam had done.

"What's going on with you, Sam? Hm? Because smoking, throwing bottles at people, I mean, that sounds more like me than you."

Sam looked away from the window. "Dean, wait, right here. Turn down that road."

"What?"

"I don't know how I know, I just do."

Dean turned down the back road onto a private property. Dean looked at the house and it had emergency lighting and security cameras.

Aeron swallowed the lump in her throat.

"Whoever lives here, I'd say they don't like surprises." Sam said softly as the three of them went up to the property.

"Should we knock?" Dean asked, looking at his younger brother.

"Yeah. I guess."

Dean knocked on the door.

Sam poked around the corner of the building. "Hey Dean." Sam waved his flashlight at a window. It was broken.

"Oh jeez." Aeron said softly looking at the window.

"I'm surprised the cops didn't show. Place like this you'd think it'd have an alarm."

Sam saw the disabled alarm on the wall. "Yeah, you would."

They slowly went inside and saw that the floor was covered in broken glass and scattered items. They went into the backroom and there was a body on the floor.

"Hit the lights." Dean told one of the younger hunters.

Sam turned the light on.

Dean kneeled next to the body. He placed a hand on it and turned it over. Dean put his hand over his mouth.

Aeron gasped.

Sam looked away horrified. "Dean, I did this."

"We don't know that."

"What else do you need? I mean, how else do you explain the car, the knife, the blood…"

"I don't know, man, why don't you tell me?! Look, even if you did do this I'm sure you had a reason, you know, self-defense, uh, he was, he was a bad son of a bitch, something!" He patted the body down. "He doesn't have any ID."

"I need your lockpick."

"What?"

"I need your lockpick."

Dean pulled out his lockpick and handed it to Sam.

Sam took it and used it on a closet door. He unlocked it and inside it was covered in firearms.

"Holy… Either this guy's a Unabomber…"

"Or a hunter."

Aeron shook her head.

Dean looked over at her. "What is it?"

Aeron cleared her throat. "I… I can't." She said turning on her heel and walking out of the room. She closed her eyes as she got out into another room. She took a few deep breaths. She knew that it was a hunter. But she couldn't bring herself to think that Sam would kill him. She shook her head as the thought came to mind again. No. Sam would never kill unless he had to. Really had to.

"Aeron, we need you in here now." Dean hollered for her.

Aeron came into the room quickly.

"How do you erase this? Huh? Sam, come on, I need your help." Dean said quickly, cleaning up what he could.

"I killed him, Dean. I just broke in and killed him."

"Listen to me. Whoever this guy is, he's a hunter. Which means that other hunters are going to come looking for his killer, which means we've got to cover our tracks okay?"

Aeron shook her head. "His name is Steve Wandell."

Sam looked at her. "How do you know that?"

Aeron let out a soft sigh. "I used to hunt with him. Only one hunt though. But that is him. Steve Wandell."

"He has a letter from his daughter." Sam said softly to his brother.

Dean looked at Sam and then the letter. He then grabbed the computer lifting it above his head and smashed it onto the floor. He stopped on it with his boots for good measure. He tossed Sam a rag. "Wipe your prints."

SNSNSN

The three of them walked into the motel room.

"Alright, we get a couple hours of sleep and then we put this place in our rearview mirror. Look, I know this is bad, okay? You gotta snap out of it. Sam, say something!" Dean said, looking at his brother.

"Just get some sleep and leave in the morning? Murder, Dean. That's what I did."

Dean bit his lip. He was trying to find the right words to say to his little brother. He looked at Aeron for some kind of help. "Maybe."

Sam scoffed.

"OKay? He, we don't know, shapeshifter!"

"Oh, come on. you know it wasn't, you saw the tape." He said looking at Dean. "There was no eye flare, no distortion."

"Yeah, but it wasn't you! Alright? I mean, yeah, it might have been you, but it wasn't you."

"Well I think it was." Sam said, sitting down. "I think maybe more than you know."

"What the hell does that mean?" Dean asked, looking at his brother.

"For the last few weeks I've been having… I've been having these feelings."

Dean walked over to the bed and sat opposite to his brother.

Aeron looked at the two of them concerned.

"What feelings?" Dean asked, looking over at Sam.

"Rage. Hate. And I can't stop it. It just gets worse. Day by day, it gets worse."

"You never told us, Sammy." Dean said, scolding his little brother.

"I didn't want to scare you or her."

Dean nodded and slapped his knees before standing up. "Well bang up job on that."

"Dean, the yellow-eyed demon, you now have plans for me. And we both know the three of us know that he's turned other children into killers before, too."

"No one can control you, but you."

"It sure doesn't seem like that, Dean. It feels like no matter what I do, slowly but surely I'm, I'm just becoming."

"What?"

"Who I'm meant to be. I mean, you said it once yourself, Dean. I gotta face up to who I am."

"That's not who you are, Sam. You aren't a murderer like Gordon Walker." Aeron said, looking at him.

"I didn't mean like this Sammy."

"But it's still true. You know that. Dad knew that too. That's why he told you, if it ever came to this…"

"Shut up Sam."

"Dean, you promised him. You promised me."

"No." Dean shook his head. "Listen to me. We're gonna figure this out. Okay? I mean, there's gotta be a way right?"

"Yeah there is." Sam said, pulling out his handgun out of his duffle. He shoved it at Dean. "I don't want to hurt anyone else. I don't wanna hurt you. I don't wanna hurt Aeron."

Dean looked down at the gun Sam handed him. "You won't. Whatever this is, you can fight it."

Sam felt tears come to his eyes. "No. I can't Not forever. Here, you gotta do it."

The two brothers stared at one another.

Sam then grabbed his hand and placed the gun in it.

Dean didn't move, just looking at his own brother in shock.

Sam shook a little bit. He was upset that it had gone to this.

Aeron looked away from the two of them. She couldn't… no she couldn't watch this.

"You know, I've tried too hard to keep you safe."

Sam nodded his head. "I know."

"I can't. I'd rather die." Dean said, dropping the gun onto the bed and shouldered past his brother.

"No. You'll live." He picked up the gun.

Dean turned to face him.

"You'll live to regret this." He said pistol whipping him caused him to fall to the floor.

Aeron gasped. "Sam what the hell did you.."

Sam advanced on her, grabbing her. He pistol whipped her as well.

Aeron fell to the ground harshly.

SPNSPN

Dean was upset that his own brother pistol whipped him with a gun. He was even more upset to find out that Sam was gone. But what shocked him was that Aeron was nowhere to be found either. That unnerved him a bit. Hell he had to pay the manager of the motel a hefty sum of cash to see if he could find Sam and Aeron. He knew that Sam wasn't normal. That was not his Sammy and Aeron was most likely with him. He was on the phone hoping that Sam hadn't shut off the phone. "Hi, uh, so sorry to bother you, but uh, my son snuck out of the house last night and, uh, went to a Justin Timberlake concert… What? Yeah. No, Justin is quite the triple threat. Uh, anyway, he's not back yet, and, and I'm just, I'm starting to worry." Dean closed his eyes hoping that the person would be able to help him. "Right. Yeah, boys will be boys. But see, Sammy is uh uh uh, a diabetic, and uh, if he doesn't get his insulin, I just, I have to find him. Please, I'm begging you. Yeah, no no no, I'm on the website now, I just need to activate the GDS in his cell phone." He entered the password. "Yeah, right there. Duluth, Minnesota. Yeah, that is a long way to go for a concert. I appreciate your help."

SNSNSN

Sam looked at the girl that was laying in the passenger seat. A smirk came to his lips as he got out of the car. He had pistol whipped her hard enough that she would probably not wake up for a bit. He walked into the bar and cleared his throat.

"Sorry, we're closing up." Jo said not looking back at him.

"How about just one for the road?" Sam asked, sounding hopeful.

Jo turned around and looked not so welcoming. "Well, you're about the last person I'd expect to see."

"Well, I guess I'm full of surprises. So can I get a beer?"

"Sure. One beer." Jo said getting a bottle for him, setting it onto the bar for Sam. "So how'd you find me?"

"Well, uh, it's kind of what we do, you know?"

"Speaking of us, where's Dean and Aeron?"

"He couldn't make it and Aeron is sleeping in the car. Didn't want to wake her." Sam said with a small smile.

"So what're you doing here Sam? I mean we didn't exactly part on the best of terms." Jo said, wiping the table down.

"Right. Um, well, that's why I'm here." Sam took his jacket off. "I kind of wanted to see if we could square things, you know."

Jo noticed that there was a circular burn mark with a short line through it on his forearm. "That looks like it hurts."

"No. Nah, just, just had a run-in with a hot stove." Sam said brushing it off.

Jo looked at him a little bit skeptically. "So you were saying something about squaring things?"

"Yeah, um. Look, I know how you feel about my dad. And I can't say I blame you. He was obsessed with hunting. And he didn't care who got caught in the crossfire. And I guess that included your dad. But that was my father. That's not me."

"What about Dean?"

"Well, Dean's more like my father than I am, but h…" He noticed a look on Jo's face. "Boy. You're really carrying a torch for him, aren't you?'

Jo scoffed uncomfortably with what Sam had said.

"I'll take that as a yes. It's too bad." Sam smiled tightly. "Cause see, Dean, he likes you, sure, but not in the way you'd want. I mean, maybe as kind of a… a little sister, you know? But… romance, that's just out of the question, he…" Sam laughed. "He kind of thinks you're a schoolgirl, you know?" Sam looked at her. "I'm not trying to hurt you, Jo, I… I'm telling you 'cause I care."

"That's the real kind of you Sam. I see why Aeron likes you."

Sam shook his head. "I mean it." He placed his hand over hers. "I care about you a lot."

Jo looked at Sam in shock. She thought that Sam liked Aeron. "Sam, what's going on?" She tried to pull her hand away.

"I can be more to you, Jo."

"Maybe you should leave."

"Okay." Sam said, shaking her hand away. He stood up.

Jo faced the bar leaning heavily on it.

Sam grabbed her from behind and manhandled her.

"Sam, get off me! Sam! Get off of me! Let go!" She grabbed a beer bottle, but he grabbed her wrist and slammed it on the bar shattering it.

"Jo. Jo. Jo." He shoved her around until she was facing the bar and pinged her there. Left hand gripping her wrist and his other hand stroking her hair.

"Sam, no! No! Please! Please!"

Sam slammed her forehead onto the bar knocking her out. He lifted her up onto the bar carefully. "It didn't have to be this way." He said petting her hair. "Maybe it did." He smirked. He slipped out of the bar and went back to the Impala and got Aeron out of it carefully. He brought her into the bar and laid her on the floor. He then moved Jo to a thick wooden post. He tied her in a sitting position.

Jo slowly began to awake. "What the hell is going on? What are you doing?"

"So what exactly did your mom tell you about how your dad died?"

"You're not Sam."

"Don't be so sure about that. Answer the question."

Jo said nothing. She saw Aeron who had a bruise on her cheek and blood dripping from the cut that was there.

Sam sighed and went around sitting in front of her leaning in. He was concerned. He pulled out a large knife and stroked her cheek with it. "Come on. It's me. You can tell me anything, you know that. Answer. The question."

"Fine."

"Fine."

"Our dads were in California. Devil's Gate Reservoir. They were setting a trap for some kind of hellspawn. John was hiding, waiting, and my dad was bait."

Sam laughed. "That's just like John. Oh, I'll bet he dangled Bill like meat on a hook. Then what?" He said getting up off of the ground and stood behind her.

"The thing showed up. John got too eager, jumped out too soon, got my dad exposed, out in the open. The thing turned around… and killed him."

Sam leaned forward. "Hm. Not quite."

"What?"

"What? Oh. See, it hurt him. It didn't kill him. You really don't know the truth, do you? I bet your mom doesn't either." He said moving and sitting facing her again.

"Know what?"

"You see, Bill… was all clawed up. Was holding his insides in his hands. He was gurgling and… praying to see you and Ellen one more time. So my dad… killed him. Put him out of his misery like a sick dog."

Jo began to tear up. "You're lying."

"I'm not. It's true." He began to sing song voice. "My daddy shot your daddy in the head…"

"How could you know that?"

Sam stood up. "I hear things." He said before stabbing the knife into the pillar just above Jo's head.

"Why are you doing this to me?"

"Like daddy, like daughter. You're bait. Open up." He shoved a knotted rag in her mouth and tied it around her neck. "That's a girl."

The door burst open and there was Dean. "Sam!" He yelled holding his gun.

Sam grabbed the knife from the pillar and he switched to desperate panic instead of calm. He placed the knife at Jo's throat. "I begged you to stop me, Dean."

"Put the knife down, dammit." Dean saw Aeron laying on the ground.

"I told you I can't fight it. My head feels like it's on fire, alright? Dean. Kill me, or I'm going to kill her. Please. You'd be doing me a favor! Shoot me." He turned and faced Dean. "Shoot me. I don't want to hurt the girl that I kissed when we were in that hotel…"

Dean's eyes widened. He held his gun steady. He looked at Jo out of the corner of his eyes. "No, Sammy, come on." Dean turned away, lowering his gun.

"What the hell's wrong with you, Dean? Are you so scared of being alone that you'd rather let Jo die and the girl I kissed die?"

Dean turned quickly, flinging water from a flash onto him. He saw the water hiss and steam. "That's holy water you demonic son of a bitch."

Sam raised his head. His eyes were solid black.

Dean flung more holy water on him.

Sam growled, turning and running, busting through the window.

Dean took the knife and got Jo free.

Jo pulled the gag out of her mouth as Dean ran towards the window. "He was possessed."

Dean turned and looked at Jo. "Try to wake her." Before jumping out the window.

"Dean!"

Aeron moaned softly.

Jo turned sharply and quickly went to check on Aeron. "Oh my god Aeron."She helped her sit up a little bit.

Aeron blinked a few times. "Where am I?"

"You're in Duluth, Minnesota."

Aeron put her hand on her head.

"How do you feel?"

"Like I was pistol whipped." She gasped and looked around. "Jo where's Sam?"

"He's possessed."

"Demon?"

"Yeah Dean went after him."

Aeron tried to get up to her feet.

Jo helped her up.

"We have to find Dean."

Jo helped Aeron. She handed Aeron the flashlight. "We will find him."

The two of them walked out to the docks slowly due to Aeron still being out of it thanks to the blow to the head.

"Try calling him." Aeron said leaning on Jo a little bit.

Jo tried calling him. She groaned. "Voicemail."

"Damn it Dean…"

She tries again and hears the phone ringing. She and Aeron saw Dean laying at the bottom of the ramp. "You gonna be fine up here?"

"Go Jo."

Jo ran down to Dean. "Dean! Dean!" SHe said, shaking him a bit.

Dean groaned, coughing.

"Take it easy." Aeron said from where she was standing.

"Where's Sam?" He said shuddering from being wet and cold and in pain.

"I don't know, we've been looking for you. Come on, get up." She said help him up.

He leaned on her heavily. He clutched his shoulder.

Aeron slowly walked over to them.

"Come on, I can support you." Jo told her.

Aeron shook her head. "Let's just get him inside."

The three of them went back into the bar.

Jo had Dean sit down at the bar. Jo began to work on his left shoulder to get the bullet out.

He groaned loudly.

"Don't be a baby!"

"God."

"Almost. Alright, got it. Got it." She said dropping the bullet in a glass of alcohol.

Dean took a few drinks of whiskey. "God, you're a butcher."

"You're welcome." She said, rolling her eyes. "Would you rather have Aeron doing it even though she might have a concussion."

"Alright, are we done?"

"Would you give me two minutes to patch you up and patch Areon after? You can't help Sam if you're bleeding to death." She said as she began patching him up.

Dean took another swig of the whisky.

"So, how did you know? That he was possessed?"

"Uh,ah, I didn't, I just knew it couldn't have been him."

"Hey Dean."

"Yeah?"

"I know demons lie, but… do they ever tell the truth?"

"Uh, um, yeah, sometimes, I guess. Especially if they know it'll mess with your head." He took another swig. "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing. Doesn't matter. So do you have any idea where he's headed next?"

"Well so far he's been going after the nearest hunter… so the closest one I know lives in South Dakota."

"Bobby." Aeron said softly.

Dean looked at her and nodded his head.

"Okay good, I'm done. Let's go."

"Yeah." Dean stood up. "You're not coming."

"The hell I'm not. I'm part of this now."

"No you're not coming Jo." Aeron said, moving towards Dean.

"I can't say it more plainly than this." Dean said, looking at Jo. "You try to follow me and I'll tie you right back to that post and leave you here. This is my fight and Aeron's fight. I'm not getting your blood on my hands. That's just how it's gonna be." He said turning away from her.

"Wait."

Dean turned back to her.

She handed him a pill bottle. "Here. Take these. They'll help with the pain."

"Thanks. I'll call you later, okay?"

"Come on Dean."

The two of them walked out of the bar.

Dean looked over at her. "Good to see you back on the case Red."

Aeron rolled her eyes. "Thanks. Now let's get your brother back."

Dean nodded his head.

SPNSPN

Dean drove down the dark stretch of road with Aeron in the passenger seat. He dialed a number to Bobby's home phone. He was hoping the old man would answer his phone. He looked at his phone and sighed. "Damn it."

"You can't get a hold of Bobby?"

Dean shook his head.

"Fucking hell." She said, groaning. This was not good. That had to mean that Sam was with Bobby. A demon possessing Sam was there. Now that was something that she was going to fear.

SNSNSN

Sam walked up the steps slowly and went to the door and knocked on the door.

The door opened and there stood Bobby. Bobby grinned and laughed. "Sam!"

Sam smiled. "Hey Bobby."

"It's been a while."

Sam grinned sheepishly.

"Well come on in."

Same came in slowly glancing at the ceiling.

Bobby shut the door behind him.

The two of them walked into the study.

"So what brings you?" Bobby asked curiously.

"Working a job nearby, and thought I'd stop in and say hey."

"Well, where's Dean?"

Sam laughed. "Holed up somewhere with a girl and a twelve pack."

Bobby went into the back room. "Oh yeah? Is she pretty?"

Sam's eyes turned black for a few and changed back. "You ask me, he's way over his head."

"And Anne?"

"She's back at the motel sleeping. Got a concussion." He said with a smile.

Bobby returned with a beer in each hand. He handed one to Sam. "Well, she needs someone watching her."

"She said something about watching Doctor Who."

Bobby shook his head. "Sounds like her. Well, it's good to see you." He raised his bottle. "To John."

"To dad."

The two of them took a swig of beer.

Sam looked up at the ceiling again and when he swallowed beer he spewed it choking. He fell to his hands and knees. He coughed and gagged painfully.

Bobby took another sip of his beer, not none too concerned.

"What'd you do?!"

"A little holy water in the beer. Sam never would have noticed. But then, you're not Sam are you. Don't try to con a con man." He said, slamming his fist into Sam's face, knocking him out.

Aeron ran up the stairs of Bobby's porch with Dean right behind her. She pounded on the door.

Bobby opened the door. "Anne, you look like hell."

"Thanks Bobby." Aeron said, shaking her head.

"Did Sam show up?" Dean asked, looking at Bobby.

"Yeah. He did show up. He's knocked out and tied up."

The two of them came into the home and walked into the room where Sam was tied up.

Dean slapped Sam's face to wake him. "Hey."

Sam looked up and saw the painted Devil's Trap.

Dean looked up too.

"Dean. Back from the dead. Getting to be a regular thing for you, isn't it? Like a cockroach."

"How about I smack the smartass right out of your mouth?"

"Oh, careful, now. Wouldn't want to bruise this finge packaging. Aeron's lover boy."

Aeron narrowed her eyes. "Sam has no feelings for me. I am a friend."

"Oh, don't worry, this isn't gonna hurt Sam much." He said picking up a bucket. "You on the other hand." Dean tossed the holy water onto him.

Sam screamed.

"Feel like talking now?"

"Sam's still my meat puppet. I'll make him bite off his tongue."

"No, you won't be with him long enough. Bobby."

"Exorcismus te, omnes in mundis spiritus omnis satanica potestas, omnes incursio…"

"See, whatever bitch-boy master plan you demons are cooking up? You're not getting Sam. Do you understand me? Cause I'm gonna kill every one of you first."

Sam struggled painfully and threw his head back laughing maniacally.

Bobby stopped doing his exorcism.

"You really think that's what this is about? The master plan? I don't give a rat's ass about the master plan."

"Humiliates sub potente magnum dei…"

"Oops. Doesn't seem to be working. See. I learned a few new tricks." He lowered his head. "Spiritus in mundus, un glorum suarum umitie palatum iram, domine."

The fire exploded behind them flaring and the room was shaking.

"This isn't going like I pictured! What's going on, Bobby?"

Bobby saw a burn mark on Sam's forearm. "It's a binding link! It's like a lock! He's locked himself inside Sam's body!"

"What the hell do we do?"

"I don't know."

Sam threw his head back screaming.

The protective circle broke.

Sam lowered his head. His eyes were black. "There. That's better." He jerked his head to the left Bobby went flying. He jerked his head right and Dean went flying into the wall. He jerked his head back and Aeron landed next to the fireplace.

Dean flinched from the pain in his shoulder.

Sam ripped off his bindings and walked over to Dean. "You know when people want to describe the worst possible thing? They say it's like hell." Sam kneeled in front of Dean. He hit Dean with a hard right jab.

Dean grabbed onto Sam's right hand.

"You know there's a reason for that. Hell is like, um…" He hit Dean again. "Well it's like hell. Even for demons." He hit again. "It's a prison made of bone and flesh and blood and fear." He hit him again. He grabbed Dean's head holding it steady. "And you sent me back there."

"Meg." Dean sneered.

"No. Not anymore. Now I'm Sam." He hit him again and dug his right thumb into Dean's bullet wound causing Dean to gasp in pain. "By the way. I saw your dad there. He says howdy." He dug further into Dean's shoulder.

Dean tried to move Sam's hand away groaning in pain.

"All that I had to hold onto, was that I would climb out one day, and I was going to torture you. Nice and slow. Like pulling the wings off an insect." He said, shoving Dean's hand away. "But whatever I do to you, it's nothing compared to what you do to yourself, is it? I can see it in your eyes, Dean. You're worthless. You couldn't save your dad, and deep down… you know that you can't save your brother. They'd have been better off without you." Sam reared back to hit Dean again.

Aeron came flying by grabbing onto Sam. "Bobby!"

Bobby grabbed Sam's arm.

Sam flung Aeron off of him and she went flying hitting a pile of books causing her to gasp in pain.

He pressed a hot poker onto the mark causing him to scream in pain.

Meg left Sam's body going up the chimney.

Dean pulled himself up painfully.

Sam fell back and then came scrambling looking around in confusion. He grabbed his arm in pain. How the hell did he get that?

"Sammy?"

"Did I miss anything?" Sam asked in confusion.

Dean reared back and right hooked Sam's cheek. He rolled his eyes, collapsing.

Sam grabbed his cheek in confusion. What the hell happened.

Bobby moved past Sam and to the books. "Anne honey are you alright."

Aeron groaned. "Peachy. Fucking peachy."

"Hey language."

Aeron rolled her eyes. "I got tossed like a rag doll Bobby. I think I have a right to curse."

Bobby helped her up to her feet.

Aeron groaned. "Damn… might want to make sure the books are gone next time."

Bobby shook his head. "Only you would say that."

"Not the first time I've been thrown into books Bobby." She said rolled her eyes.

Sam sat behind Bobby's table holding a pack of ice on his arm.

Dean was on the other side holding an ice bag to his nose.

Aeron was holding ice to her back because of being flung so hard into the numerous books that Bobby had in the room.

"By the way, you really look like crap, Dean." Sam said cautiously.

"Yeah, right back atcha."

Bobby walked in slowly looking concerned.

"What is it Bobby?"

"Have you ever heard of a hunter named Steve Wandell?" He asked, looking at them. "I know Aeron knows him because she worked on one case with him."

"Why do you ask?"

"Just heard from a friend. Wandell's dead. Murdered in his own house."

Sam swallowed looking down.

"You wouldn't know anything about that."

"No sir, never heard of the guy."

"Dean."

Aeron tapped his arm and shook her head.

"Good. Keep it that way. Wandell's buddies are looking for someone or something to string up, and they're not going to slow down and listen to reason. You understand what I'm saying.?"

"We better hit the road. If, uh, you can remember where we parked the car." Dean said, looking at Sam.

"Here. Take these." He hands Sam and Dean small metal charms.

"What are they?" Sam asked, looking at Bobby.

"They're charms." Aeron said pulling her charms out that Bobby had given her a while back when she was 18 years old showing them to Sam and Dean before putting them back under her shirt.

"They'll fend off possession. That demon's still out there. This'll stop it from getting back up in ya."

"That sounds vaguely dirty, but uh, thanks."

"You're welcome. You boys be careful now. And you take care of her."

"You too." Sam said smiling.

Bobby looked back at him seriously.

Dean tossed his ice back to Bobby.

Bobby smiled a little at Dean.

"See ya around Bobby." Aeron said, offering him a small smile.

"Don't get yourself killed, Anne."

Aeron chuckled. "You won't be getting rid of me that easily."

The three of them walked out of Bobby's home.

Sam looked over at Aeron nervously. "Aeron…"

Aeron looked over at him. "What is it Sam?"

"I remember what I did at the hotel when I was drunk."

"You remembered because of what the demon said…"

Sam nodded his head. "I'm sorry."

Aeron stuck her hands in her pockets. She knew that Sam didn't like her like that if he was apologizing for the kiss. "It's fine. I understand." She said softly. She walked ahead of him.

Sam let out a soft sigh. He really had thought that she would have said something about the kiss. Maybe she liked him or something. Who was he kidding? She was a hunter. After hunting the yellow-eyed demon she would go on her merry way and would never be by his or his brother's side ever again.

SNSNSN

Dean drove down the highway.

Sam frowned looking out the window.

Aeron was sprawled out in the back seat almost out of the pain med that Dean had given to her once they had gotten to the car.

Dean looked over in concern to his brother. "You okay? Sam? Are you there?"

"I was awake for some of it, Dean. I watched myself kill Wandell with my own two hands. I saw the lights go out in his eyes." Sam said softly.

Aeron moved a bit in her seat and tried not to cry. She didn't know what his daughter would think when she found out about his death. The girl was about her age. No girl deserved to lose her daddy. Hell Aeron was living proof of both her parents being raised by her grandfather and her brother deceased.

"That must have been awful."

"That's not my point. I almost carved up Jo too. I almost killed the Aeron pistol whipping her in the face. But no matter what I did, you wouldn't shoot."

"It was the right move, Sam. It wasn't you."

"Yeah, this time. What about next time?"

"Sam, when dad told me… that I might have to kill you, it was only if I couldn't save you. Now, if it's the last thing I do I'm gonna save you." Dean laughed softly.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Dean, what?"

"Dude, you… you like, full on had a girl inside you for like a whole week." Dean said laughing.

Sam laughed with Dean.

"That's pretty naughty."

Sam shook his head and looked back at Aeron. He saw that she was sound asleep. That was good.

"Sam… what was about that kiss?"

Sam shook his head. "It is nothing Dean. She doesn't like me like that."

Dean just shook his head.
