A/N: The first race of the Gran Prix is here! Like the AT chapter, there will be no recap, especially given what's about to happen, so let's get straight into the race! As a reminder to any FF Dot Net users, this story is also on AO3 and Quotev in case anything wonky goes on with the chapters here. The site's been acting weird for a while.
Reviews:
G-Man 2.0: The good news is, not every chapter will be like this. Word count isn't too much of a concern for me when it comes to writing as long as the chapter's good(These seasons have been the longest stories I've ever written. Not even the Pacifica House Party story was this big). However, one thing I wished the World Tour season did was have some time explore some of the places they went, which is why I'm doing that here with the interactions and what not. Though I get why that didn't happen. There's only so much you can do within 22 minutes. As for the chapter parts, that's only done if I know for sure I'm going to have to do it. Halloweentown and the TMNT Fast Forward Training episodes should only need to be one part. The Jujutsu Kaisen episode is undecided at the moment.
Never considered DP to be an intern though. It's a good idea but I probably won't be the one to do it.
Guest: Yeah, I think it's because the account is too new. I'll try posting the link here. You'll just have to remove the spaces(and replace the dot) because FF Dot net doesn't allow links.

uber101z: I saw your PM for your ideas. G-Man also suggested doing some stuff for a Jackass challenge too. Unsure about the rest though. Putting this here bc I'm not receiving any type of notifications from the site to my e-mail.
Also I'm making a revision to the race list. The Mount Everest Skiing will be covered in its own challenge. I completely forgot I said I wanted to do an F-Zero race for this racing challenge. Just as a heads up I'm only doing tracks from the F-Zero SNES game(or in this case, the lesser known Japan-only Satellaview expansion BS F-Zero 2). I have yet to play F-Zero X or GX. I have watched some GX gameplay though.

Race 2: The Storm Realm(Hot Wheels Acceleracers)
"Welcome back to Total Drama Across the Multiverse! The teams have just started the first race of the Gran Prix! For now, I'll leave the rest of the talking to our announcer, DJ! Not our DJ obviously." Chris said, the last part, referring to Total Drama DJ.
"Thanks Chris! As we start the first race, let's see what our nine racers have gotten themselves into!" DJ said.
The skies were purple and cloudy. There wasn't a shred of sunlight in sight. Thunder could also be heard as the racers came out of a portal.
"Uh oh." Monkey said, back in Tezla's headquarters, watching the action from a table with several others from the Maniacs and the contestants also being there watching. Some of the others were watching in the cafeteria.
"The Storm Realm!" Kurt said as they descended.
"If I would have known it was this, I would have gotten Slingshot instead." Kurt thought.
"There's no track!" Rally shouted.
Bren, Rocky and Launch were heard yelling as they descended all three desperately trying to hang on to their bikes and not fall to their doom.
Acceleracers Soundtrack: The Storm Realm Plays
"We should be getting to one soon! Just hang on!" Kurt called out.
"Is he crazy!? Why would they put them in this first!?" Monkey yelled out, hands on his head.
"Can someone please explain what's going on?" Rei asked.
"They're in a Racing Realm." Karma said, calmly.
"So that's what those look like?" Natsu said.
"How do you know what those are?" Lucy asked.
"Monkey told me."
"If he did, then I'm sure he already told you how dangerous these realms are." Vert said.
"If it's anything close to what we've done in this show, it doesn't really surprise me." Noah said.
As they all fell on the track, lightning was seen throughout the sky.
Music Stops
"Oh my! It looks like they're in some sort of storm! Usually I can give some type of info on what racers can expect in a track for a race but... I've never seen this type of track before! All I can say now is good luck and please be careful!" DJ said.
"Question, not that I really would like to look under or anything, but does anyone know what's holding up this track?" Bren asked.
"Who knows? Just as long as it doesn't fall apart I'm fine." Rex said. "But honestly, now you've got me a little worried."
"Considering what else is there, I'd say that's the least of their worries." Zeb said.
"We've been in this realm before. It's held up fine. You should still be careful though." Lani said through everyone's radios.
"So if you guys have been through this track before, what exactly should they expect?" Fiona asked the Teku and Maniacs that were in the room.
"Stay on your guard! Stay focused on the track and avoid any distractions. And watch the lightning strikes!" Kurt said to Rally and Rocky through the radio comms.
"That's the skill for this realm. Avoiding distractions." Karma said.
"Don't you think it would be hard to do that in the environment that they're in?" Priya asked.
"No one ever said it was going to be easy. That's what it makes it a test." Karma said.
"A heck of a test to put them in for their first race. You can throw starting off easy out of the window." Vert said.
"You're experienced in this. You take the lead Kurt." Rally said.
Rally moved to the left to allow Kurt to pass her.
The teams continued to traverse the track, slightly elevating little by little as they were on fairly simple straightaways and curves.
"Looks like after the initial chaos, the racers have composed themselves. Kurt and Rally lead the pack with Rocky being in fourth behind Mr. Wolf. Overall, the Rats are off to a fairly good start. Everything's pretty quiet now. But as they say, this might be the calm before the storm. A phrase fitting for this track." DJ said.
"Man, this isn't like anything I've ever seen. I can't let this affect me though. I have to keep going." Kaz said, looking around at the surroundings. Overall, he was seventh, behind Jotaro and Rex.
"Kaz is doing a lot worse than I thought he would." Diego commented.
"This is his first time actually driving. Even if it is supposed to be more beginner friendly, it makes sense." Myron said. "I'm just hoping he can recover."
The race continued, with Kaz speeding up and passing Jotaro, but Rex not allowing him to get past.
"Come on! Get outta the way!" Kaz said, getting frustrated before almost getting hit by a lightning strike, the sudden strike causing Kaz to spin out, with Launch, Bren and Jotaro having to suddenly move out of the way to avoid getting hit.
"Darn it!" Kaz said, hitting his fist on the dashboard of the car.
"Keep it cool Kaz!" Mr. Wolf called out over the radio.
"Yeah, that's easy for you to say. You actually know how to drive." Kaz muttered low as he started to accelerate again.
"And Kaz avoided a complete disaster there by avoiding the sudden lightning strike. But, he's got some catching up to do. It's true this isn't his first rodeo when it comes to racing, but it looks like this is a completely different animal."
The racers continued as they were in several sideways loops as a lot more fog was seen with lightning in the middle of the loop.
"I think it'd be hard to not look at the lightning in the middle of the track don't you think?" Rocky said.
"Just watch yourself around it, don't veer to close to it and you'll be fine!" Kurt said.
"Man, if it wasn't for the fact that I could actually get hit by these lightning strikes I'd say this is awesome!" Rex said. While he was having a good time, on the other hand, he understood that the lightning strikes were going to be a constant danger that he'd to stay vigilant of.
"It's too bad Virgil isn't here. He'd shine in this type of track." Vert said.
"Maybe so, but who's to say his ride will? Just because he can take it, doesn't mean that could." Zak S. said.
"Good point. Didn't think about that." Vert said.
"So far so good." Bren thought before a suddenly lightning strike came down, causing him to frantically have to steer the bike. His erratic steering almost caused Launch to get well... launched off her own bike.
"Okay. I'll shut up now." Bren thought.
"Even if you were to stay focused on the road, who's to say the lightning still can't hit you?" Weiss asked. "You saw what almost happened to Bren and Kaz."
"While that is true, staying focused will decrease the likelihood of that happening." Kadeem said.
"All they have to do is stay focused. If they can do that, they'll be ready for anything that waits for them on this track." Karma insisted.
"Anything else like?" Becky F. asked.
"There's not much else they'll have to worry about other than the lightning." Vert said. "But that doesn't mean it's gonna be a walk in the park either."
"In other words, it's not gonna be just as straightforward as lightning strikes is it?" Becky B. asked.
"Nope." Vert said.
"There's a vertical up ahead! Whatever you do, don't stop!" Kurt called out to his teammates.
"Aye aye captain!" Rocky said, before speeding up.
Bren was starting to breathe hard.
"I changed my mind. I can't do this!" Bren said.
"Bren! What are you doing!?" Jotaro called out.
"Somebody! Anybody! Just get me out of here!" Bren said.
"Bren you can't stop!" Lani said.
"But why not? I want to stop!"
"If you stop, you could die! Do you understand that?" Jotaro said.
"Point taken, but it's a bit to late for thaaaaaaaaaat!" Bren said as he was already falling.
"Trust me man, I've been there." Monkey said as several people from the Maniacs and Teku along several contestants looked at him.
"What?"
As he descended to the ground, he fell off the bike as it went flying everywhere, going in front of where Kurt was, which caught him off guard and forced him to have to swerve out of the way, almost hitting Mr. Wolf as Rally tried to get through both of them. Rocky saw the bike but reacted too late, causing him and his bike to go flying. While he was okay, his bike wasn't so lucky.
"That's not good." Rocky said before looking over the edge of the track as there was another track under it. After seeing this, he breathed a sigh of relief only for the bike to get destroyed right before his very eyes by a lightning strike before it even reached the track.
"That's definitely not good."
Bren got up off the ground.
"Phew. Still in one piece." Bren said before several lightning strikes came from below and caused him to frantically run.
"Chris, don't you have a way to pull him out of the race?" Riley asked.
"Let's see what happens first." Chris said.
"What do you mean let's see what happens? He could die!"
"Be right back guys." Chris said before leaving.
"Are you going to get him out?"
Chris didn't respond.
"Chris!"
"Uh guys, we've got a bit of a problem." Rocky said.
"What's going on?" Rally asked, now on a straightaway as she led the pack with Mr. Wolf right on her tail. Kurt was fighting for third with Rex. There were some rods on each side of the track.
Rocky spotted Bren's(which was actually Dax's) bike. "Actually, I think I solved it." He said. He goes to run towards the bike.
"They couldn't just do something simple like kart racing could they? It had to be some weird racing in a thunderstorm." Bren muttered to himself as he was running to try and get his bike only to see that Rocky was about to take it.
"Hey wait! That's not your bike!" Bren said.
"Well, I don't see anybody else that's using it so..." Rocky said before propping it up and getting ready to speed off with it.
"Wait!" Bren called out. Though his calls were ignored.
Bren sighed. "Well that's just great. Now what am I going to do?" He said before getting ready to sit down.
"And in an unexpected turn of events, Rocky turns a bad situation for him into a... well... bad situation for Bren, taking his bike! Now Bren's stranded, hopelessly in last place!"
"Is that even allowed?" Weiss said.
"Unfortunately for us, probably." Alejandro said. "That's just how the game is played."
"I'll get him." Jotaro said to Rex over the radio. "Just wait there Bren."
"It's his fault. He shouldn't have slowed down." Paul said.
"He was scared! I'd like to see what you'd do." Luz said.
"Well, I suppose you won't find out because I'm not in this race. How about you ask yourself what you'd do before talking about anyone else." Paul s\aid.
"Is anything he said wrong? If he wouldn't have slowed down that wouldn't have happened." Heather said.
"Easy for you to say when you're in here. Just be lucky you guys don't have to deal with the Drones." Monkey said.
"Drones. What are you talking about?" Jenny asked.
"Killer racing robots. Accelerons built 'em. Pretty much the opposite of you. You're friendly. Them? Not so much. 'Cept Sparky though."
"Hello!" Sparky said, waving.
"They were created to compete against the Accelerons. But the minute they forgot what it meant to compete instead of just trying to win, that's when they got rid of them." Kadeem said.
"Pipe down! I'm tryin' to hear the race!" Porkchop said.
"There's nothing even really going on. What exactly do you need to hear that you can't use your eyes to see?" Karin asked.
"Go ahead. Take your time." Bren said to Jotaro, sitting down before sitting on something. He went to feel what it was.
"Oh yeah that's right! How could I forget that?" Bren said, putting a hand on his forehead.
He pulls out one of his blue Monsuno cores, preparing to spin out the core before looking around at the track and endless stormy skies and seeing that there was a problem. "Great. Nowhere for me to spin it out." He said before sighing and putting the core away. "Well, there goes that plan."
As Jotaro went back, he came across Rocky, the thief of Bren's bike. He tried to kick him off but Rocky dodged the attempt by jumping. Although he didn't stick the landing when it came to getting back on the bike as it laid harmlessly on the ground.
Rocky was starting to run back towards it.
"No you don't!" Jotaro said, turning around to try and stop him. Though instead of using his Star Platinum, since the bike was already on the edge, he gave it a bit of a nudge himself with his foot, causing it to fall off before Rocky could get to it. He looked down below to see where the bike was falling, only for this bike to suffer the same fate. Destruction by lightning strike. Jotaro had already sped off to get Bren.
"Deja vu never felt so bad." Rocky said, a face of sadness and disappointment on his face, knowing that with how things were going right now, he was all but finished.
"Serves you right." Heather said.
"You've got that right Rocky! And it looks like this time, there's no other bikes lying around to spare him! And with how far ahead his teammates have gotten, it's a mystery if they'll even try to come back and get him!"
"Hey Kurt, Rally. Either of you two running a taxi service?" Rocky asked over the radio.
"I'll get him. You keep going ahead." Kurt said.
"Kind of got my hands full anyway." Rally said, trying to stop Mr. Wolf from passing her.
"Just stay where you are. I'm coming back to pick you up." Kurt said.
"You got it!" Rocky said.
Though unlike Jotaro, who just got Bren, the same couldn't be said for Kurt and Rocky. More lightning started to come down as the rods that were on the sides of the track were suddenly electrified.
"Kurt! There's a high chance that if you go back, your car could get hit." Cicini said over he comms.
"Yeah. I can see that. I'm not exactly in a good position to really turn around either!" Kurt said, looking above him. With where the lightning was, he was basically stuck in a rock and a hard place. If he moved, his car was finished.
"So you're saying we should just leave him there!?" Natsu said.
"There's not much else we can do. If he moves, his car is done. And there's a chance he could get seriously hurt himself." Young Bennett said.
Kagami hits the table. "Damn it! We lost again!"
As Jotaro and Bren were trying to catch up, someone else that was on a bike that was silver and had purple wheels sped past them. The driver wore a white jumpsuit with a purple zig-zag line down the middle with a silver and purple helmet on his head, completely covering his face.
"Who was that?" Bren said.
"Don't know. But something tells me he's not a friendly." Jotaro said.
"The heck are the Silencerz doin' in there?" Wylde said.
"The better question is, who is it?" Kadeem said.
"Maybe it's Tezla again." Monkey said.
"There's someone on a bike approaching you Rocky, and fast!" Cicini alerted.
"Great! Maybe I can hitch a ride!" Rocky said.
"That's not anyone from the other teams." Young Bennett said.
"Then who else would it be? There's no one else in here but us." Rocky said.
"Hey uh, Lani right? Yo know anything about a bike that's not on anyone's team?" He asked.
"Uh, no. What do you mean by that?" Lani asked.
"Silver? Purple wheels. Coming up really, really, really fast?" Rocky said.
"Wait, how does he-" Vert started before seeing exactly how he knew as he was knocked over by a fist at a high speed before he was suddenly sent out of the realm in a flash of purple light.
"Rocky!" Several people shouted out as he disappeared.
"Is he..." Marinette started before someone was suddenly seen flying out of a portal and into several boxes, barrels and toolboxes.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"And it looks like we have our first officially eliminated competitor! Rocky is out of the race!"
"It's over? I won?" Rocky said, looking around.
Rocky ran where the others were.
"Wow! I thought I was dead. Turns out, I won!"
"Actually, you didn't win. It was just announced that you were eliminated." Adrien said.
"Good try though." Priya said.
"Oh. Well, there's always next time. Now, where's the nearest bed?" Rocky said, the pain from hitting those barrels and toolboxes at such a high speed setting in.
"I'll uh, get the cushion set up." Monkey said.
"Right behind you." Nolo said, following him out of the room.
"Bringing these back to the other remaining eight, as Kurt is still in a bit of a pinch, Rally, Mr. Wolf, and now Rex are fighting both each other for first and the deadly electricity looming right above them! One false move and their hopes for victory will come to a shocking end."
"Rally, Rocky's out. It's just you and Kurt now." Cicini said.
"Just great. That means we lost again." Rally said. Though she didn't have time to be frustrated as she had to worry about protecting first and avoiding the lightning.
All three weaved around the track, with Rally still holding a very small lead. Mr. Wolf and Rex were trying to pass, but the lightning was making that very tricky. Neither could afford to get greedy. And Rally had limited options to try to deny their passes either as there was a chance she could get hit as well.
Though Kaz was quietly looming behind the four, getting down driving enough to have a fighting chance at snagging first.
The mystery racer was speeding through the track, approaching Kurt fast as it charged an energy ball. Considering the fact that he was still stuck, there wasn't much he could do. He braced for the impact. But a sudden lightning strike which caused the racer to have to suddenly move out of the way stopped him from being hit as the ball harmlessly flew in the air. Kurt sighed in relief, still having to wait until the lightning cleared before he could move. But he was at least safe from being blown to bits.
"Lani, there's someone in here on a Silencerz bike. Do you know about this?" Kurt asked.
"No. I wasn't told anything about it." Lani said.
"I'm not sure where the bike came from or when it entered. But I can confirm that that is Silencerz technology. All drivers should continue to race with extreme caution." Tezla informed them.
Launch, her personality changed, was coming up fast behind Kaz, going through the lightning perfectly. By no means was she on the level of say the Teku or Maniacs, but she was fairly capable of holding her own fairly well.
"There's fog ahead Rally! Be careful!" Cicini informed.
"Great. The problems just keep on building." She said, having to quickly put her glasses on top of her head to try and see better in the fog. Mr. Wolf also did the same thing.
"Uh oh. This isn't good." Kaz said.
"And things get even tougher for our remaining racers as fog starts to cloud their vision! And as the lightning still looms, how will they be able to navigate through this track?"
"Damn it! I can't see!" Launch said, having to look closer to try and avoid the lightning that was still looming on the track.
When a bike suddenly sped past her that she never saw before, she looked over to see who it was. The instant that happened, she didn't catch the lightning that was right in front of her and instantly tried to swerve out of the way. But the turn was too wide. She ended up losing control and the bike hit one of the rods of lightning, forcing her to get off it before she was electrified herself.
A few seconds later, Jotaro and Bren passed her as she was stranded by herself.
"Don't you think we should come back and get her?" Bren asked.
"If we do that, we'll be in the same position as her. We need to keep going. All I need you to do is help keep an eye on the track. Got it?" Jotaro said, doing the same thing himself, knowing that one distraction could take both of them out of the race in a split second.
"That's easier said than done when there's fog." Bren said.
"So what? The others are getting through it just fine." Jotaro said.
"Good point." Bren said.
As they were silently getting through for a few seconds, Bren had another question.
"By the way Jotaro."
"What is it?"
"That uh, Stand of yours. Think it could protect us from those lightning strikes if were to get hit?"
"Just keep an eye on the road." Jotaro said, starting to get exhausted from Bren pestering him, especially considering the fact that he was the reason Jotaro even had to lost his position in the race in the first place.
"R-right. No more questions. Got it. Besides, it protected you from Fiona's lightning strikes so... that was a dumb question. Sorry."
"Good grief. You've done more talking than actually watching the road."
"I have not! I've watched the road. For a bit. I've kinda been letting you do all of the work. So... sorry?"
"If you're not gonna watch the road, then you can at least not be a distraction. If I crash, we're both s[censored] out of luck."
"Yes sir!"
Jotaro could only sigh. Out of all the people he had to save, it was Bren, who wouldn't stop talking, probably as a way to hide his fear more than anything else.
"So that's the name of thing he did yesterday? A Stand?" Bakura asked.
"Yep!" Ruby R. said, remembering Isagi's notes.
"Ruby!" Weiss said in a scolding tone.
"What? It's not like they weren't going to have go up against it eventually." Yang said.
"I'm guessing it's some type of protective aura." Diana said.
"According to Isagi's notes, It is apparently the manifestation of one's life energy. Although unlike their aura, his Stand actually is beside him." Penny informed. "Although, considering the fact that we can only go off one challenge and Isagi, who we don't have any prior knowledge of outside of the first few days we've been here, I'd say that this is very inconclusive. I hope this answered your question!" Penny said, an innocent smile on her face.
"It actually did. Thank you."
"Okay, so if that's the case, why can't we see it?" Dan asked, skeptical.
"Uh, maybe it's magic? You're not supposed to see it?" Scott reasoned.
"That doesn't make any sense." Tsukishima said.
"Sure. Let's go with that." Weiss said.
"And the fact that you're actually agreeing with that statement makes it even worse."
"You're saying that like you're not even sure yourselves. He's your teammate. How do you not know this?" Diana asked.
"Well at least that actually makes sense. Somewhat. And by the way, I'd say we know more about our teammates than you do. Who do you have on your team taking notes again? Surely not Sendo, Kagami, and Natsu." Weiss said.
"Notes? What the hell are you talking about?" Sendo asked.
"Notes? What for? Won't we see what everyone can do anyway?" Akko asked.
"There's more to it than just that. If that's what Isagi did, I must say it was a smart move." Karin said.
"A smart move that only our team came up with." Weiss said.
"It's not like you came up with the idea yourself. Why are you bragging?" Diana said.
"And it's not like you did. Way to step up for your team. It's no wonder why your team was the first to lose this race."
"If your teammate wasn't such a wimp this wouldn't have happened!" MacArthur said.
"Stay out of this!" Weiss and Diana said simultaneously.
"What was that?" MacArthur said, before tackling both of them.
"You thought I was gonna let a couple of rich girls boss me around? You messed with the wrong cop! And her name is MacArthur! You too Karin! You're next!"
"Lay a hand on me and you'll regret it." Karin said.
MacArthur tried to bum rush her only for Karin to toss her aside easily, smashing one of the tables.
"Why would you throw her in here?" Fiona asked.
"I suppose I overdid it."
"It's her fault to begin with for trying to actually run at people. She got what she deserved." Diana said.
"I guess the same could be said for you two considering both of you were unprepared." Karin said.
"Says the person that threw someone in a room full of people. Really smart." Weiss said sarcastically.
"So first it was the athletes fighting. Then it was the lawyers. Not it's the spoiled girls. Gotta say, I'm interested to see in how this one goes the most." Sucy said.
"Why? Is it because you get to see three privileged girls hurt each other?" Noah asked.
"Pretty much."
A chair was suddenly thrown at the three but it hit a window instead, breaking it as it went through. "SCRAP THE NOISE! I'M TRYIN' TO HEAR THE RACE!" Porkchop said, no longer being able to contain his anger.
"What was that?" Lani asked from above as Tezla raised an eyebrow as well.
"Well... at least you got 'em to be quiet." Monkey said.
"And broke a window in the process." Noah added.
"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, ALRIGHT?" Porkchop shouted.
Sophie could only sigh and shake her head.

Yami Bakura(Wave Breakers):
"If this Stand can protect him from lightning strikes, there's no telling what else it can protect him from. Coupling it with the fact that no one, not even his own teammates can see it, is going to be a problem. But with what I've just seen Ben do, he's the least of my worries at the moment."

Sophie(Storm Kings):
"While it is true that I come from a high class family, I haven't made it a big deal like those three have. Their 'budding rivalry' is utterly ridiculous in my book. And yes, I called it a rivalry. I have a feeling that those three will be in the same boat as Kageyama and Kagami and Courtney and Emma. Which means there's more to come from those three. Unfortunately. I don't count the Miracles and Kagami because they all appeared to have been rivals with each other before this competition, even if it is more of a friendly, but competitive one."

"And the fog has cleared. Is that.. a ball of lightning? Don't tell me the racers have to actually enter that! With a mystery racer on their tail! Meanwhile, it's official folks, Launch is now out of the race!"
The proof being the fact that Launch was seen flying on the cushion that Monkey and Nolo brought back up, something that was used the last time they raced in the realms.
The lightning above Kurt disappeared as the rods were no longer electrified. As soon as he noticed this, he shifted into gears and moved forward a little before turning back around to try and catch up to the rest of the pack.
"This is the home stretch now. It's going to take a lot to stay in control when they find out they're close to the end. I should know. I was right at the end along with Kurt before I got startled by the lightning. We lost and the drones ended up taking the first Accelecharger. And it was my fault. Hope they don't make the same mistake as me." Vert said.
"Kaz? Icy? You're joking right?" Fiona said before looking back at the screen, really concerned now. "Please don't do anything stupid Kaz."
"Now's my chance!" Kaz said before using one of his two turbo boosts, seeing a line.
"Kaz!" Fiona called out.
"I don't think so!" Rally said, moving in front of him to try and deny him the pass. But at the speed he was going, he rammed her forward a little. Something that didn't rattle her in the slightest. However, this distraction was all Mr. Wolf needed to sideswipe her, causing her to spin out.
She hit her fist on the steering wheel in frustration as Jotaro and Bren passed her.
"This is Kurt! I should be catching up to you guys in a bit, you alright?" He asked Rally.
"Yeah. Never better." She said, trying to drive to catch up. "We're heading inside a ball of lightning. Just giving you a heads up."
"Then that means you're in the final stretch. Keep your eyes on the road. And don't get too impatient. The last thing we need is to guarantee last place." Kurt said.
'Okay. Thanks for the heads up."
"Was there a reason you guys didn't tell her that?" Tangle asked Cicini and Bennett.
"My guess, probably not to get her anxious. And potentially get greedy." Old Bennett said, recently appearing not too long ago, which started Young Bennett.
"Who are you Kuroko? Stop doing that!" Young Bennett said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about kid. But that doesn't matter. What matters is the race." Old Bennett said.
"Yeah, we know. But it's not like we can do much." Young Bennett said. "What can we warn them of, the lightning? It's clearly right there."
"Which means, they're pretty much on their own." Whisper said.
"You all have said Kurt has raced with you before. What are your thoughts about his chances of completing this race at an acceptable position?" Albedo asked the Teku and Maniacs.
"Well, I've only seen him use his Nitrox once so he has that edge over everyone else. And that was to help try and catch up." Karma said. "Even if he doesn't win, as long as he doesn't get greedy, he should be able to jump out and make a last push to a good position."
"In other words, do the opposite of Kaz." Fiona said.
"I wouldn't say that much. They're winning, right?" Diego said.
"Not for long. You forgot about Rex." Vert said.
"Doesn't matter." Shiro said, which got the attention of several other people including the Teku and Maniacs.
"He's not going to get through." Shiro added, as he continued to closely watch the race.
Hot Wheels Acceleracers: Ignition Soundtrack: Lightning Plays
Rex, speeding up, was behind the two. The middle of the track was open.
"Rex is coming up behind us!" Kaz said to Mr. Wolf.
"Don't worry. If he tries to get through, he's gonna regret it." Mr. Wolf said, a confident smile on his face.
"I can clearly see what you're trying to do you know. I'm not stupid." Rex said, although because they didn't share the same comms, they couldn't hear him. "Oh right. Not on the same comms. Doesn't matter!"
Suddenly, energy balls were seen coming their way. Rex and Mr. Wolf were able to dodge them but Kaz overreacted and swerved off the track.
"Kaz!" Several Breakers called out.
"Come on, if we're gonna fly, now's the time to do it!" He said before desperately searching for a button that looked like it could activate its flying capabilities. He found a clear-colored button that then glowed in several different colors before he could suddenly feel himself flying.
"All right!" Kaz celebrated.
Several of the Breakers breathed a sigh of relief.
"Escaped a total disaster there." Bakura said. He then placed himself back on the track where the others were.
"If he could fly, why not keep doing that all the way to the finish?" Natsu asked. "Not that it would be good for us but still."
"Because if he did, he probably wouldn't last five seconds in the air." Shiro said.
"He means the lightning would have shot him down." Karma said, seeing Natsu's confused look.
"It doesn't seem like it, but Kaz made the right decision to stop flying. Because lightning has a better chance of striking the highest object, more than likely, he would have been hit before anyone else." Jenny explained.
Rex tried to pass Mr. Wolf. "Not happening!" Mr. Wolf said before his attempt was blocked by a fist. In this case, a Smack Hand on his right. Something that surprised Mr. Wolf, forcing him to have to back off and let Rex pass or risk getting his car more damaged than it already was after a large dent was put in it.
"Here we go!" Rex said as they went into the lightning sphere. There were two forking paths on the left and the right. Rex, Kaz, the mystery racer and Mr. Wolf to the one on the left. Jotaro and Bren took the right path.
"It's the eye of the storm ladies and gentleman! And the final stretch of the race! Who will come out, not just on top, but in one piece?"
Kurt sped beside Rally.
"Can't let you have all the fun." Kurt said.
"Took you long enough." Rally said.
They were the last two to enter the lightning sphere and took the left path. There were several track loops within the sphere, with some four-way intersections also being seen within the loops.
"That car's fast. But can it do this?" Kurt said to Rally, grinning, knowing that the fun part was about to start. He pressed a red button, activating his Nitrox. The car picked up an incredible burst of speed, leaving trailing blue flames behind it as it sped past Rally and Jotaro.
"Show off." Rally said jokingly, smiling as she did, before shifting gears and speeding up herself, also passing Jotaro. While the mystery racer was already ahead of the two, they raised their bike in the air slightly for a second as they increased speed.
"Don't you think we should be going faster?" Bren asked Jotaro.
"Unless you want to get fried you'll help watch the road." Jotaro said.
The racers speeding through crossed over through several awesome, but dangerous intersections as they traversed through the loops. Any sudden slowdown or speed up from any of them and it could have been fatal crashes.
Suddenly, there were more lightning strikes on the track. Kaz almost overreacted and was about to slam on the brakes, but instead kept his cool and kept going.
"I can see the end!" Rex said as a portal was seen.
The mystery racer took that opportunity to fire an energy blast.
"No way!" Kurt said, refusing to come up short in the Storm Realm again and dodging out of the way.
"I'm going for it! This is it!" Kaz said, activating his second and final turbo boost.
"No you don't!" Kurt said, using his nitrox.
"Come on!" Rex said, as the three were approaching the portal.
"GOOOOOOO!" Kaz called out.
A grapple was heading towards Jotaro but Bren grabbed the rope.
"What are you-" Jotaro started before they started swerving out of control.
The three approached the portal, still swerving out of control before the racer was pull off their bike, being dragged along before he threw something at them that Star Platinum knocked away along with putting one on himself. But he put another one on the rope instead. The three suddenly disappeared in a flash of light.
While Rex, Kurt, Mr. Wolf, Rally and Kaz all came out of the portal in their respective vehicles, Jotaro, Bren and the mystery racer all flew into the cushion. Several of the contestants along with Lani, Tezla and Zeb went down to where the remaining racers were.
"And that's the end of the race folks! What a spectacular finish! But, the big question is, who won?"
"All right. Who are you?" Kurt asked the mystery racer. Who obliged by taking off his helmet, revealing it to be Doyle.
"Uncle Doyle?" Zak S. said.
"Makes sense." Rally said, remembering that Chris did tell them he would occasionally enter challenges.
"Gonna be honest, I really didn't expect you to grab onto the grappling hook." Doyle said to Bren.
"Well, I can be full of surprises." Bren said proudly.
"The real question is, who won?" Mr. Wolf asked.
"Yeah, I'd like to know that too!" Kaz said.
"Certainly wasn't these guys I can tell you that much." Doyle said, thumbing to Bren and Jotaro.
"But we're the only ones that had all three of us finish! Even if Rex didn't cross first, that shouldn't matter." Bren said.
"Actually, I think he's right. When we teleported out, we flew in instead of coming in naturally like the others did. It looked like we finished the race, but I don't think we actually did." Jotaro said.
"He is. You didn't. Which means only one Storm King crossed the finish line. And because one is less than two, you guys get no points for this race, regardless of who actually got first!" Chris said as he, Chef and Heloise joined in with the rest of the group.
"We can use the footage from the on-board cameras on the vehicles. That should tell us who got there first." Lani said.
"Using Silencer technology. Without my or the organization's permission I see." Dr. Tezla said to Chris.
"Oh. Yeah that. Borrowed it." Heloise said, shrugging.
"In other words, it was stolen." Zeb said.
"It was only for one challenge. You guys can have it back. It's not like it got destroyed."
"Speaking of destroyed, what happened to Rocky? I didn't see him cross." Bren said. "He's not... you know?"
"No. Bike got destroyed." Jotaro said.
"Don't worry, I got him out of there." Doyle said.
"Wait did you say destroyed!?" Bren said in horror.
"Yeah. Why?" Jotaro asked.
"This isn't good. Not good at all!" Bren said.
"if you're worried that much about the bike, just have them make another one." Jotaro said, referring to Lani and the others.
"Make another one? That's not going to work!" Bren said before leaving.
***Confessional***
Bren(Storm Kings):
"Well that's just great. Not only did we lose, but Dax's bike got destroyed. Today is just not a good day for me. Maybe if I win, he'll take some of the prize money as payment? If I don't get eliminated first that is."
***End Confessional***
"With last place already decided, we patiently await the replay footage to see who earned first and who earned second!"
Everyone was looking at the replayed footage with Lani slowing it down to have a better look at who crossed first, and who between Rally and Mr. Wolf also crossed.
The slowed footage showed Rex pulling out a sword right at the end. Not towards Kurt or Kaz, but towards the portal. Something that clearly outreached Kaz's Falgor replica and Kurt's Battle Spec.
"Unbelievable! By the margin of a huge sword, Rex is the winner of the race! Which means he gets to be one of his team's representatives in the next race! As for Kurt and Kaz..."
"We'll have to zoom it in." Dr. Tezla said.
After zooming it in, it was seen that by a beak on the Falgor replica, Kaz finished second. While it was only barely, he'd take it.
"And it looks like... Kaz Gordon has finished second!"
"ALL RIGHT!" Kaz said, pumped up after seeing that he won second. "Wait a minute... I got second! Why am I cheering for that?"
"We have a chance to win, that's all that should matter." Fiona said.
"Come on Fiona, you're not happy with second are you?"
"I never said that. But overall we might have a chance to win the race as a team."
"But I wanted to win first. It was my first race here." Kaz said, lowering his head.
"Ugh, you're such a baby." Fiona said.
"We have the results for Rally and Mr. Wolf." Lani said.
"And? Who won?" Rally asked.
"It's too close to determine. We've tried replaying it several times, but we can't see any clear evidence to prove who got through first."
"So in other words, it's a tie." Mr. Wolf said.
Lani nodded.
"I'll take it." Mr. Wolf said.
"Sweet moves out there Kurt." Vert said.
"Yeah. It's too bad it wasn't enough." Kurt said.
"Don't blame yourself man. That's the last type of way you'd think a race would be decided." Nolo said.
"Considering you were already behind, I'd say that wasn't too bad." Lanolin said.
"Agreed. While it wasn't first, it was acceptable enough for us to secure a tie with the others in the standings." Albedo said.
"And with that, Kaz was the deciding factor in this race! The Breakers take first! As for the Rats and Kings, they take second and third respectively."
"Now then, let's take a look at the updated standings!"
1st: Radical Rats: 2
1st: Storm Kings: 2
1st: Wave Breakers: 2
"And we've got a three way tie! Meaning it's pretty much back to zero! But our racers won't have time to reflect now! It's on to the next race!"
"Yep! DJ's right! We're moving on to the next race!" Chris said.
"Seriously? No time to rest or anything?" Bren asked.
"Nope! But before we get a move on, it's time you guys chose who'll represent you in the next race." Chris said. "The third race in the tournament will be a broom relay race!"
"A broom relay race! We'd be perfect for that!" Akko said energetically.
"Yes. I'd like to go as well." Diana said confidently, knowing that she had the edge in this race.
"Oh yeah, by the way, you're going to need a fourth additional member for this race. So, for just this once, I'll relax the winner rules." Chris said.
"But broom racing is usually only three team members." Lotte said.
"Even so, you're still going to need four." Chris said.
"A fourth member huh?" Sucy said before sighing. "I guess I can help out."
"If broom racing is usually only three, then what's the fourth for? Do you think Chris is trying to pull something?" Emma asked the rest of the team.
"Even if he is, it doesn't matter. We still have to choose someone regardless." Falcon said.
"Hey Akko, what's this broom racing like?" Kagami asked.
"It's a broom race. You fly on brooms, you race." Sucy said.
"Honestly, it's pretty much that. Like we did in the relay race in the first challenge we did, each person on a team covers a section of the race. Though instead of tagging, we pass batons to our teammates." Akko explained.
"Although, it is a requirement to have knowledge in flight magic to be able to fly on your broom." Diana added.
"For your information genius, Akko didn't have any knowledge of flight magic and she got through and finished second." Sucy remarked.
"Yeah!" Akko said proudly.
"Somehow." Sucy finished.
"Hey! What do you mean 'somehow'?"
"And Constanze fully customized her magic broom to not even need flight magic to fly." Sucy added.
"In other words, this isn't the clear advantage you thought it was going to be." Karin said to Diana.
"So? It's not like anyone on your team is capable of doing magic." Diana countered.
"We'll figure something out." Karin said.
"'We'll figure something out'. Wow. What a great response." Weiss said.
"Shut up! It's not like you're capable of doing magic either."
"So? I don't need to."
"Then how exactly are you going to be able to fly?" Sophie asked.
"I'll come back to you on that one!"
"Well, then our team is settled then." X said. "All four of them will be in the next race."
"Wait. Let me give it a try." Lucy said.
"Lucy? Why?" Lotte asked.
"Well, I know magic too. I'm not sure what Chris has planned for the fourth person, but we might be better prepared if we're not so one-dimensional with our picks."
"Sounds good to me." Sucy said. "You can take my place."
"Sucy? You're not going to race?" Akko asked.
"Nope."
"Are you sure?" X asked.
"Do I have to say it a million times? I'm fine. Trust me. Lucy has shown she's more than capable of handling herself. Besides, it's not like we have any other magical users capable of flying on a broom."
"Hey! What about me? I can use magic!" Natsu said.
"I said capable. If you can't even ride on roller skates without getting sick, you're not going to last on a broom."
"She's got a point." Happy said.
"Yeah. And I hate it that she's right. That means it's another challenge I don't get to be in."
"Hey, don't worry about it." A voice said.
It was Kuroko.
"Don't you have a way to stop that?" Natsu asked, jumping back in surprise.
"Stop what?"
"Now you know how I feel when you come into my house uninvited." Lucy said.
"Forget it. And what do you mean don't worry about it? I feel like everyone's getting a shot at these challenges but me! Aren't you upset too?"
"Honestly, a little. But I believe I'll get a chance eventually. Just like I believe you will." Kuroko said, giving him a soft, but confident smile.
"I guess it makes sense. With what happened in the first challenge, you wouldn't be too good at most of the running stuff."
"But this doesn't involve running." Adrien said. "Does it?"
"Well, you could run if you want to, but it's not optimal." Diana said.
"So wait, if that's the case, then I should be able to use Happy, right?"
"Actually, no. If you're going to fly, it's gotta be with the broom man. Nothing else! This goes for everyone!" Chris said. "And even if you can't fly, you still have to hold the broom."
"Are we allowed to use any abilities?" Albedo asked.
"No. Just like the first race, absolutely no abilities or tools, other than anything that'll allow you to get your broom to fly, are allowed!"
"Natsu, please. I've got this." Lucy said.
"Okay. Win this race for us!" Natsu said.
"You can count on me!"
"Alright! We've got our four! Let's do our best everyone!" Akko said.
Meanwhile, the Kings and Breakers were already in the proess of choosing their four as well.
"So Luz has experience in similar races while Sophie knows magic. Does anyone else have any experience?" Courtney asked.
"If I can figure out the spell to get the broom to fly, I may be able to help." Octavia said.
"Four!" Weiss said, nearly jumping, literally, for the last spot.
"You seem... enthused." Yang said.
"Me? Enthused? I guess you could say I really want to win... erm, help us win this race." Weiss said.
"The only reason you even want to be in this race is because Diana is in it." Blake said.
"Literally a d[censored] measuring contest." Octavia said.
"Between rich girls at exciting." Tsukishima said sarcastically.
"You're sarcastic. I'm serious. I'm really going to enjoy this." Sucy said to him.
"This is not for your entertainment!" Diana and Weiss said simultaneously to Sucy.
"And you go back to your team!" They shouted to Tsukishima.
"That's why you chose to sit this out? So you could see those three go at each other? Sucy!" Akko said in an upset tone.
"Like I said, Lucy's been shown to handle herself so why not. Besides, it's not like you or Diana were going to give up your spots."
"What? Of course I'd be willing to give up my spot! I'm sure Lotte would too!"
"You do realize she's right next to you right?" Noah asked.
"Oh. Sorry, I didn't mean to-
"Don't worry about it! I know you didn't mean anything by it." Lotte said.
"I didn't see you jumping up to have someone take your place." Sucy said to Akko.
"Look, does it matter now? We have our four and that should be enough." Akko said.
"Unless we have magic users we don't know about, we're in trouble." Hailey said to the rest of the Breakers.
"Chris said we could use tools to help us fly the brooms. Or we could just run or jump with them." Toxsa said.
"But that's not going to be helpful if the rest of them can fly." Kageyama said.
"Hmm... you make a good point." Toxsa said, putting a hand on his chin, thinking.
"Sucy mentioned something about someone customizing their broom to not need magic to fly. What if we did the same thing?" Zoey proposed.
"I may be able to make something? Not sure. I'd have to see what I'm working with first." Reagan said.
"It's a broom. What else could you be working with?" Dan asked.
"Well I don't know, maybe it's some sort of weird magic thing!"
"To be fair Dan, a lot of things that have been happening here have been pretty odd." Chris P. said.
"So? Still doesn't make what she said any less dumb."
"Well, at least I proposed inventing something. Where's your ideas?" Reagan asked Dan.
"I don't have any. You know why? BECAUSE I DON'T DO MAGIC! NO ONE ON THIS TEAM CAN! HAILEY LITERALLY JUST SAID IT! What part of that don't you understand?"
"I get it! And you don't have to yell in my face just to convey that message to me! I'm right here!"
"WELL APPARENTLY I HAVE TO WHEN YOU'RE SAYING STUPID THINGS LIKE WHAT YOU SAID BEFORE!"
Ryoma points swords at both of them, causing both of them to stop in surprise and fear of feeling the pain of the sharp blades.
"Enough! We are already at a disadvantage compared to the other teams. Reagan has an idea. And considering no one else has any better ideas to come up with, myself included, we're going to go with it. We can't afford to fall behind and potentially lose another challenge." Ryoma said. He then put the swords away.
"Reagan, please explain what you have planned."
"Oh? You... want me to speak?"
"Anybody else here named Reagan? Let's go." Haizaki said impatiently.
***Confessional***
Reagan(Wave Breakers):
"Yeah, I didn't expect to be put on the spot like that. Especially in front of all these people. Some of them probably with the power to kill me if they wanted to. But, I am a CEO of an organization after all. I can handle it."
***End Confessional***
Reagan clapped her hands together before taking a deep breath. "Okay everyone! As you already know, not a single person on this team can do magic, as Hailey already pointed out. But thanks to Sucy, we still have a chance. So, obviously, witch brooms look like this." She said before showing a picture of a broom on her phone to everyone.
"What if... we modernize it? By that I mean teching it out. If that makes sense."
"In other words, you're saying you want to add things to make the broom capable of flying without magic. Like a motor or propellor." Myron said.
"That's exactly it! And... well, that's about it. So, what do you guys think?"
"If it's gonna help us win, I'm all for it." Haizaki said. "Do what you gotta do."
"If you've got a plan, we're all here to support you!" Molly said. "And don't worry about your speech being short. You did great!"
"Thank you!" Reagan said, a bright smile on her face after getting the compliment.
***Confessional***
Reagan(Wave Breakers):
"I get it, I'm probably like, twice her age, but sometimes, a little compliment like that can really make someone's day. Just like it did mine."

"Okay, we need to choose who our four are going to be." Zoey said.
"I want to play." Furuya said.
"You sure? This isn't pitching you know." Miyuki said.
Furuya walked to where Reagan was. "Reagan. I promise. I will do my best."
Reagan was unsure of how to react. "Uh..."
"Why's he acting all formal like that?" Johnny whispered low to Kaz and the others.
"Beats me." Ayame said.
"Kinda lame if you ask me." Zak M. said.
"Hey, you're his teammate. You know what's going on?" Hinata asked Miyuki.
"He he he." Miyuki laughed, a grin coming from his face.
"What is it? Does he have some secret ability?"
This caused Miyuki to laugh louder.
"Why are you laughing? Answer my question!"
"That Furuya. Getting fired up for a broom race huh? Well, it can't be helped. Might as well let him go before he explodes." Miyuki said dismissively.
"So is that a no?"
"Fired up? Look at his face! He doesn't look fired up to me." Ayame said.
"I'M-" Eijun started.
"Alright. Guess I'll lend a hand. Sign me up." Hanamiya said, stepping up.
This caused Aomine to frown.
"THEN I'LL BE-"
"Third." Kageyama said.
"I GET-"
"Fourth." Karin said said.
Eijun suddenly fell to the ground.
"What's the matter with him?" Hinata asked.
"No clue." Ruby G. said.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"SHUT THE HELL UP! STOP YELLING!" Kageyama said.
"You're yelling too." Scott said.
"THAT'S ONLY TO GET HIM TO STOP YELLING!"
"That makes no sense." Dan said.
"I DON'T CARE WHAT MAKES SENSE! JUST START THE CHALLENGE ALREADY!"
***Confessional***
Eijun(Wave Breakers):
"I got totally ignored!" He said before putting his hands on his head. "Now Furuya gets to take all the glory." He then points to the camera. "NEXT RACE! NEXT RACE! I'M ENTERING! AND I'LL DO JUST AS GREAT AS YOU WILL FURUYA!"

Miyuki(Wave Breakers):
"Usually, Furuya gets upset and impatient whenever he has to do anything other than pitch. That includes batting. It may not look like it, but Furuya's looking forward to this next race. A lot more than I expected. Eijun and Furuya may have two different personalities from the outside, but the fire inside both of them burns bright. I'm not too worried about Eijun. But I wasn't sure when Furuya was going to get his engine running. But from what I just saw, neither will give any challenge from here on out, less than a hundred percent. Outside of both being pitchers, in that way, are they both connected."

Maki(Storm Kings):
"I may be considered a jujutsu sorcerer, but unlike Sophie who's actually capable of doing magic, I can't. Kind of crazy that I'm a jujutsu sorcerer but I can't do a lick of jujutsu isn't it? Guess Luz and I are in the same boat. But, she did win a season, so I'm not going to say that she's useless or weak. The same way I'm not. Even if I don't get to show that today, you'll see soon enough."

"Alright! Now that we have our four for this race, the rest of you can bring your vehicles back." Chris said.
Kurt, Jotaro, Mr. Wolf and Rally all brought their vehicles back.
"First thing I'm spending the winnings on looks like." Mr. Wolf said, looking at his car as he brought it back.
After everyone returned, everyone along with the Teku and Maniacs all bid their farewell to one another.
"Later Kurt. We'll be rootin' for you man." Nolo said.
"Thanks." Kurt said.
"Good luck man. Those challenges get insane later on. Trust me on that." Vert said.
"After what I've seen, I don't think you're lying." Kurt said.
"You may be Teku, but you're still my brother. Don't mess around. You better win." Mark said to Kurt.
"What did you think I was here for?" Kurt said to Mark, grinning before they pounded fists.
All of the contestants, including Chris, Chef, Doyle and Heloise went through the portal that Chris opened.
Akko's eyes immediately widened after seeing the surroundings of the place they were in.
They were on a sports field that had a running track surrounding the field. Right in front of the field was a large academy building. Several girls around Sucy, Lotte, Akko and Diana's age were seen and were all wearing similar uniforms to one another, with some also wearing witch hats. Though the difference between some of them being the color of the sashes that were on their uniforms along with the color of the band on some of their hats.

"LUZ! THIS IS IT! THIS IS LUNA NOVA ACADEMY!" Akko said to her excitedly.
"This is your school? It's so big!" Luz said in awe.
Two girls approached the four competing Luna Nova students. One had wavy auburn hair, that she keeps tied into a ponytail by a yellow ribbon and hazel eyes, while the other had straight and waist-length black hair and teal eyes. The former was Hannah England while the Latter was Barbara Parker.
"Diana!" Both said simultaneously.
"Wow, you're really here! On reality TV!" Hannah said.
"Tell us, what's it like? Was the food good?" Barbara started.
"How was the rest of your team? Were they good? Bad?" Hannah added.
"What challenges did you do?" Barbara asked.
"Were there any cute boys?"
"'Cute boys.' Are you two serious? Give me a break." Another girl said from a distance in an annoyed tone, arms folded. She had short orange hair with salmon undertones that points upwards. Her eyebrows have the same amaranth color and she has light green eyes. Unlike the others who wore slip-ons with their uniform, she wore grayish-brown sports shoes with white laces. Her sash on her uniform was also green instead of the blue sash that Diana, Hannah and Barbara wore and the red sashes that Sucy, Akko and Lotte wore on their uniforms.
"You're just jealous because Diana got to be on the show and you didn't." Hannah said.
"No I'm not! Shut up!" The girl said, folding her arms.
"Looks like you have your own fan club I see." Karin said to Diana.
"Actually they're my teammates at the school." Diana corrected.
"Who also doubles as your fan club." The girl from earlier said, walking up to where the students and contestants.
"We're not her only fans. Don't forget about the several fan clubs around the school." Barbara said.
"All of which are not official mind you." Sucy remarked.
"Well, guess that's one thing she has over you." Yang said to Weiss.
"Shut up! I have a fan club! It's just very, very small and not well known." Weiss said, blushing in embarrassment.
"Wow. You're actually embarrassed over something like that?" Todd said before laughing at her.
"QUIET!"
"Do you have a fan club Karin?" Hinata asked innocently, out of pure curiosity.
"Well..."
"If it takes you that long to answer, it's a no." Tsukishima interjected.
"Quiet commoner!"
"Well I'd rather be a commoner that doesn't get embarrassed over not having a fan club then well... someone that does. Like you."
"And round one for the rivalry that no one cares about goes to Diana." Noah said.
"If no one cares about it, why are you keeping score?" Rick asked. "You don't see me doing that. You know why? Because I couldn't give two s[censored]s about it. And you shouldn't either. Unless you just wanna see three rich girls 'beat up' on each other over first world problems."
"Fair point. I'll stop."
"Gonna be honest, I'd think I'd be entertained by it more if they were as bad as Sierra. But they're not. So honestly, I don't really care." Riley said, shrugging.
"Meh, I just think it's funny they're freaking out and competing over something like that." Louie said.
"Okay, but like... are we just going to ignore the big giant school in front us?" Dewey said, looking around.
"Is this an all girls school?" Morty asked, noticing that no boys or male teachers were in sight.
"Really Morty? That's the first thing you notice? What, are you horny or something?" Rick asked.
"I think that should have been censored." Heloise said.
"Oh yeah you're right. Editing crew will fix that." Chris said.
"What the hell Rick? I was just asking a question alright? Jeez."
"So was I, but you don't see me getting worked up about your response do you?"
"To answer your question, yeah. It is. Name's Amanda by the way. I've been talking here for a bit, so I might as well introduce myself." The girl from earlier said.
"Welcome to Luna Nova Academy guys! As Akko stated before, this is the school that she, Lotte, Sucy and Diana attend, which is in England! And the most prestigious witch academy in all of Europe! And, as Amanda just answered, is an all-girls school. Which is pretty fitting considering the fact that all magic users competing on the show this season except for Natsu and Happy are girls."
"Seriously? I never even noticed that." Natsu said.
"Honestly, me neither." Lucy said.
"An interesting fact. Like the others, I never even bothered to pay attention to that." Sebastian said before looking around. "I can't help but notice that you said this was in England. I wonder if Ciel has any knowledge about this place."
"I for sure don't. I think I would have known about a school that taught magic." Marinette said.
"Everyone in the world would know that I would think." Adrien said.
"Never seen or heard of this place in my life." Reagan said.
"Same here." Zak S. said.
"Perhaps this is another case of multiverse rules. This may exist in their world but not any of yours." Razer reasoned.
"Whatever the case may be, we've gotta get going. Hopefully the staff will arrive in like the next minute or two so we can get started as soon as possible." Chris said.
Four women appeared. One of them had red hair with glasses and wore a similar witch outfit to the students that were in the area. Though her witch hat notably had a red feather in it. Another had olive skin with brown eyes and long, short brown hair tied in a braid and wore a uniform similar to the students as well. She also wore a pair of pilot goggles, an aviator's cap under her witch hat, a green scarf, a pair of gloves and a parachute on her back.
The other two were considerably shorter and older. The first had turquoise hair tipped sideways and rectangular lenses. Her Luna Nova Faculty was also green instead of the normal violet. She also had a clipboard in her hands. The other had short pale green hair and wore a red jacket over her violet uniform and also had a necklace of green stones, a white scarf and rectangular lenses similar to Maki's and Midorima's. Though her frames were brown instead of purple like the former's and black like the latters.
"Hi everyone. Sorry we're late." The first woman with red hair said.
"Hey Akko, isn't that..." Luz whispered to her low.
"Yeah. That's her."
"You're good. Good news is, we're already on the field so we don't have to worry about doing too much exploring or anything like that and use up more time." Chris said.
"Excellent. We'll give the competitors about... hmmm, 10 minutes to train and familiarize themselves with the broom flying before we start. I am Professor Samantha Badcock. And this is-"
Muffled laughter was heard. It was in the direction of Todd and Miyuki. Though Todd was the one that was caught while Miyuki wasn't.
"Young man, is something funny? Do we have a problem?" Samantha said, not happy that she was interrupted by his laughter.
"Sorry. Please continue miss Badcock." Todd said.
"That's professor Badcock."
"Real mature Todd." Riley said, knowing exactly why he was laughing.
"As I was saying, this is Headmistress Holbrooke." Professor Badcock said, gesturing to the short, green haired woman who gave a friendly smile to all of them.
"And this is Professor Chariot and Professor Nelson." The woman with red hair was Chariot and the woman wearing the flight gear was Nelson.
"We'll all be watching the race today, and hope that you'll all do your very best." Headmistress Holbrooke said, speaking for the very first time.
"Hello everyone. I take it you four are enjoying yourselves on the show so far?" Professor Chariot asked the four competing Luna Nova students.
"Yes ma'am!" Akko, Lotte, Diana and Sucy all said simultaneously. Although Sucy's was in her normal deadpan voice, Akko's was energetic, Lotte was somewhere in between energetic and soft spoken, and Diana's was a lot more calm.
"That's great to hear." Chariot said, giving the four a friendly smile.
"All right, so I assume all four of you will be competing in this race, right?" Nelson asked the Akko and the other three.
"Yes, we are." Diana said.
"Well then, what are you four waiting for, there's no time to socialize or fool around. You've got ten minutes! Get practicing!" Nelson said.
"Yes!" All four said simultaneously before going to get brooms.
Nelson turns to the others.
"As for the rest of you, I was told that four from the other teams will be competing as well. I need to know which four from the teams are racing so I can get brooms for all of you." Nelson said.
Luz, Sophie, Weiss and Octavia for the Kings along with Kageyama, Karin, Hanamiya, and Furuya for the Breakers all stepped up and informed Nelson(in their own ways) that they were competing.
"Alrighty then. As you already heard from Professor Badcock, my name if Professor Nelson. I am the instructor for flight magic. While it's one of the most basic forms of magic, it is still essential to even get your broom up in the air. I'm not sure if you all have any knowledge of magic, but if you do, great. It'll make learning this within the ten minutes a whole lot easier. Other than a few pointers here and there, there's not much else that I can really tell you other than to practice. Now, Professor Chariot has some advice that she said she wanted to give to you all. I'll be back with the brooms." Nelson said before leaving.
"Your ten minutes start now. I suggest you get practicing. Now then, if you'll excuse me, there are some things that I need to take care of before the race starts." Professor Badcock said before walking away.
"Well... first, I'd like to wish you all good luck in this race. Non-students included. Well I would love for our students to win, I would like the others to try nothing less than their best. It wouldn't be a true victory. Wouldn't you agree Ms. Chariot?" Headmistress Holbrooke said.
"Yes ma'am. Now then, I'd like to give you all a couple of texts for flying." Professor Chariot said, giving the other two teams one book each. Cameron fumbled with the first book before catching it while Kageyama caught the second.
"You can exchange the books between yourselves as you wish." One was a medium sized book that contained a list of spells, while the other was a book around the same size, although this book had a more colorful cover. This book had a baby in a witch's outfit riding a broom as the broom had a rainbow trailing behind it. The title of the book read "My First Broom Ride", with each letter in different colors. The words "Fun and Easy" were in a star on the side.
"I know there's not much you can really do in ten minutes. And I really wish you could have more time. But hopefully, these two books will put you all in the best position to try your best and have fun. After all, that's what matters in the end, right?" Professor Chariot said, giving them a friendly smile. "Well then, I won't hold you any longer. Good luck!"
" 'My First Broom Ride'? What the hell is this kindergarten!?" Kageyama said, looking at the cover of the book.
"Hey, she got the perfect book for you then." Tsukishima said.
"Shut up!"
"Well, they say don't judge a book by it's cover." Ruby G. said.
"It's a book with a baby on it flying a broom." Kageyama said, a deadpan look on his face.
"Do you want to fly or not? Open the book already." Karin said impatiently. The four participants along with a couple of others found a place to read along together.
"How are we supposed to do this in ten minutes and no brooms? I need them now!" Reagan said.
"Here." Haizaki said, tossing brooms the four's way.
"Where'd you get these?" Hailey asked.
"Probably stole them." Reagan said.
"Nah. I actually gave 'em to him. Just like I did the other team." Amanda said, reappearing.
"Oh. I stand corrected then."
"Well? What the hell are you waiting for? Do what you gotta do." Haizaki said dismissively.
"Right. Uh, thanks?"
"No problem." Amanda said, giving them a thumbs up before seeing the outhouse. "What's that?"
"Oh that? That's the confessional. Which he apparently brought over again?" Scott said, a little surprised.
"Confessional huh? Let me give it a try."
***Confessional***
Amanda:
"So truth is, I actually took some of those brooms. So don't put this on Haizaki. It was my idea. Do I wanna see Diana lose? Yeah. 'Cause it'll be funny to her whine and complain about it. But it's also because I think it's crazy to ask them to practice for ten minutes and then waste some of that time by not giving them brooms to race with. I know this whole thing was some promotional P.R. thing or whatever to attract more students and get money for being on the show, but come on, I know bias when I see it. Yeah, I said it. Just because I want to see Akko and the others win and represent Luna Nova doesn't mean I want it to be unfair. Then it'll feel unearned. And yeah, I might be a little jealous that Diana got picked over me to represent Luna Nova in show. I've totally got more skills than her. I bet she gave some boring introduction when she was on the show too. "
***End Confessional***
***Confessional***
Haizaki(Wave Breakers):
"Yeah I helped her out so what? Nothing's changed with me. For one, I don't wanna be back in that s[censored]y Economy class again. And two..." Haizaki stopped. "Forget it. Just know that I ain't come here to lose."
***End Confessional***
Meanwhile, on the Storm Kings, Cameron and Huey D. had come up with a similar idea for Luz and Weiss to get their brooms flying.
"Why do I have to use this?" Weiss asked Cameron, who was preparing to design a custom broom.
"Because we refuse to lose a game because of your stupid rivalry with Diana and Karin that's why." Yang said.
"It's not stupid! And it's not a rivalry either!"
"You know you just contradicted yourself, right?"
"I knew that! I was just... testing you."
"Look, I don't mind you trying to compete harder to beat Diana and Karin if that's what you want to do. But letting that get in the way of thinking straight is just not going to happen." Maki said. "We've won two challenges in a row and we have a chance to make it three."
"I personally don't see how it's a rivalry. You haven't even competed against each other yet." Paul said.
"Rich girls who act like they're perfect at everything all the time on opposite teams trying to prove who can do something better? Sounds like one to me. Or at least it will be after this race for sure." Yang said.
"If that's what you want to believe. Just don't blame others if you lose." Paul said, walking away.
"If? As if I'd lose." Weiss said.
While Huey and Cameron continued to design the custom brooms, with Bren supervising with the blueprints, Sophie and Octavia continued to read through the textbook they were given.
"In order to properly use this spell, the caster must stand over her broom, imagine herself taking off to the sky, invoke the spell and kick off the ground." Sophie read from the book.
"Once you imagine yourself in the air, right before kicking off the ground, recite the incantation 'Tia Freyre'." Octavia finished.
"Well then? Let's try it out." Sophie said.
Sophie imagined herself flying while Octavia did the same thing.
"It worked!" Sophie said as both she and Octavia were in the air.
"That's it?" Octavia said, a little surprised at how easy it was.
"She did say it was a basic spell." Sophie said.
"Fair."
The two took off, practicing flying along with Lucy, Lotte and Diana.
"I'll be right back guys." Cameron said to Huey and Bren before leaving.
"Looking good Lucy!" Akko said, giving a thumbs up from the ground.
"Shouldn't you be practicing yourself?" Becky B. asked.
"Oh no! I totally forgot!" Akko said, hands on her cheeks before getting on her broom. "Tia Freyre!" She took off but was far from being in control. Because of that, she caught an unsuspecting Lotte off guard, who flew into Diana, causing a heap of a mess, with only Lucy somehow surviving it(though that was only because she was away from the rest of the action).
Lotte hit the ground, while Diana fell right into Kageyama and the broom he had.
"Sorry." Diana said, getting up.
"Sorry? Sorry isn't going to fix the fact that you broke my broom!" Kageyama said, nearly throwing Diana off him.
"I take back my apology then." She huffed, getting up.
"For what? You're not actually about the put the blame on me are you? It's your fault! Next time, watch where you're going!"
"It's not my fault. It was Akko. She crashed into me. And for the record, I personally don't see how you'll be able to fly, not being a magic user yourself. Let alone attempt to learn within ten minutes."
"Watch me!"
"Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way." Diana started but Kageyama cut her off before she could finish.
"How else am I supposed to take it? You're basically saying none of my team is cut out for this race!"
"Considering none of you are capable of doing magic, how else will you be able to fly?"
"Easy, Reagan will help us."
"Reagan? How?" Diana asked, eyebrow raised.
"You'll see. I'm gonna wipe that smug little attitude of yours off your face. The same way Haizaki got humbled, you're next."
Diana turned to face Kageyama. She tried her hardest to keep her composure, but with how she turned to face him, it was clear(at least to herself) that she was bothered by the comment.
"Don't ever compare me to that immature delinquent. I, Akko and the others represent Luna Nova Academy in this competition and proudly so. Such behavior is something that none of us would ever have."
"I never said you were completely like Haizaki. But from where I'm standing you're just another cocky rich girl that needs her ego toned down. You think because you're in a place you're familiar with and your little fangirls backing you up this'll be easy for you? Sorry to disappoint you, but you're going to have to earn this win. Maybe it'll be the first thing you'll truly earn in your life."
The last comment was what caused Diana to blow a gasket, an angry look on her face. Actually, angry isn't the right word. She was pissed off.
"I'm done talking. If you want to talk. Talk with this." He said, holding up the broom, only for him to remember that half the broom was missing as the upper half was on the ground.
"Hey Kageyama! Reagan's almost done!" Hinata called out.
"Nice! I'm uh... gonna need another broom though." Kageyama called back, turning around to go back to where his team was.
Diana closed her eyes, seemingly calmed down. "Why am I even wasting my time talking to a volleyball player? You don't deserve to have such a prestigious title as 'King' for such a childish game. Then again, I suppose this simplistic little game is all your little brain is capable of doing."
Now it was Kageyama's turn to be pissed. He turned back towards Diana.
"Don't ever talk down about the sport I love. I may have said the things I said about you, but I never talked down about magic. Volleyball takes just as much hard work as learning to be a witch! But unlike you, I actually understand that concept from firsthand experience."
"How dare you judge me! You know nothing about me!"
"I know enough, that's for sure! You sure haven't proved me wrong! And you're doing the same thing dumba[censored]!"
"It's proven! Not proved!"
"See? You're doing it again!"
"Using proper English?"
Several of the witches around and some of the non-competing contestants could feel the tension in the air between the two as they stared each other down in the infamous "lightning glare".
"Amanda, don't you think we should stop this?" Lotte asked.
"Nah. In fact, I think I'll pull up a chair." Amanda said.
"Okay Diana, it's time to get back to practice!" Akko said, pulling her away from the prodigal volleyball setter to try and defuse the tension.
"Kageyama, I told you Reagan was almost done!" Hinata said, pulling Kageyama away from the prodigal witch.
"I'll show him/her. Just how wrong you are about me!" Kageyama and Diana thought simultaneously about the other.
***Confessional***
Kageyama(Wave Breakers):
"At least Kagami is someone that's willing to fight for his team. In that way, I can respect him. And relate to him. But Diana? There's nothing for anyone to relate to with her. 'I'm Diana. I'm rich, and I've been given everything in life without having to work and earn a damn thing'." He said, the last part trying to imitate Diana(but doing a poor job at it with his high pitched voice). "Yeah, soooo relatable." He said sarcastically.
***End Confessional***
"Okay. This is a work in progress. Not exactly the best work, but it's the best we could do in ten minutes." Huey D. said to Luz and Weiss. A propeller was on the back of the broom with a small thruster on it. Levers were on the front of it like bike handles for both.
"You can thank Constanze for the parts. She was our advisor for this." Cameron said.
Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger, who was one of the shorter students at the school, slightly over five feet, had long, navy blue hair that reaches down to her waist and is tied into a low ponytail with a big red ribbon. Unlike many of the other students that wore the hooded dress, she was wearing the vest and skirt uniform with a green sash like Amanda, indicating that she and Amanda were teammates and roomates at the school. She gave an approving thumbs up.
"Is this safe?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah! You're good!" Bren said, giving them a thumbs up.
"Or at least that's what we hope. We had no time to test this at all." Cameron said as more students came out of the school.
"Really reassuring." Weiss said sarcastically.
"It's the best they could come up with in ten minutes. I trust you guys." Luz said.
"Thanks. Glad to hear it." Cameron said.
Constanze actually gave her a paper that had some data and schematics on it.
"I'm guessing this means it's safe?" Luz asked. Constanze simply gave a thums up.
"Don't mind Constanze. She doesn't talk much. But her inventions are definitely awesome. She's always been reliable." Amanda said.
Reagan's design was clearly focusing on speed more than anything else. There was a thruster on the back.
"Okay! You're good to go! And don't worry about it breaking apart again. I put in some self repair arms." Reagan said, gesturing to the box on top of the thruster. "They'll come out whenever the broom breaks apart. Or when you might need a good shoulder massage. Constanze helped with the self-repair by imbuing it with magic. Not sure how it works, but it's cool regardless."
"Left pedal's for braking, right's for accelerating." Reagan finished.
"This looks great!" Chris P. said.
"That's the plan of course!" Reagan said.
A portal opened. Two people walked out of it. One had long grey hair kept in a bubble braid and wore a golden plate with her jewel placed on the front, a two-tone gray scarf with the Titan symbol on it, a two-tone red coat with two gray clasps, black pants, and a pair of high-heeled dark gray boots with gray and gold colored cuffs. The second wore a cyan tunic with gray-white sleeves and a black belt. He also wears charcoal gray tights and dark purple boots and a magic amplifier around his neck. Luz recognized them instantly.
"Gus? Eda?" Luz said before giving them both hugs and high fives. "What are you guys doing here?"
"To watch you of course, duh." Eda said.
"Actually, I'm here to help commentate this race." Gus said. "Still going to be rooting for you though."
"So this is Luna Nova Academy huh?" Eda said, looking around.
"What do you think? Cool right?" Luz asked.
"Eh. It's alright. But, I do think it's cool they're letting kids from around the world learn magic. They even relaxed on the enrolling rules from what I heard. At first, only witches from magical families could be admitted. Money issues or something like that." Eda said, shrugging.
"I guess that's how Akko was able to attend." Luz said.
"LOOK OUT!" A voice said almost flying into Eda while flying on a broom.
"That's her isn't it?" Eda asked.
"How'd you figure?"
"Firsthand experience from someone else I know." She said, smiling as she looked at Luz.
"Oh yeah! Speaking of which..." Luz said before grabbing Eda's hand and pulling her.
"Okay! Okay! I'm comin'!" Eda said, knowing that she might as well go along with whatever Luz has planned.
Eda was put right in front of Chariot who was caught off guard by the appearance of the two.
"Is there something I can help you with? The race is starting soon." Chariot said.
"You tell me. I have no idea what's going on right now." Eda said.
"Eda, meet Chariot! She's Akko's idol!"
"Hello." Chariot said, giving Eda a friendly greeting, unsure of what else to say because of the sudden appearance, and introduction of the two.
"What's up? Judging from the outfit, you must be a teacher here."
"Yes, that's right. I am a professor of astrology. And as Luz pointed out here, Akko's mentor."
"Mentor huh?" Eda said, looking at her before thinking. "Hmm..." She said as she taps a finger on her chin a couple of times. "You don't exactly look like the energetic, law-breaking mentor I thought you'd be. At least judging by how Akko acts." She said, looking over to Akko, who was psyching herself up for the race, using her broom as if it was a conducting baton.
"Uh, what are you doing?" Natsu asked.
"Well..." Akko started before jutting out the broom in different directions. "With flight magic, it's a good idea to have good physical fitness to lessen the strain of flying when you're doing it for a long time. I learned that from Nelson!" She answered.
"So you're basically stretching or warming up." Yulaw concluded.
"Yep! Got to stay in tip-top shape!" Akko said before squatting as well.
"I'm not sure how exactly to take that." Chariot said to Eda, Akko's always energetic
"Don't worry, it's not a bad thing!" Eda said before giving her some friendly taps on the shoulder.
As this was going on, Hanamiya had stopped on the left of one of the brooms for the Kings. Blaineley was already there.
"Watch this for me? I'll be right back." Hanamiya said, leaving the broom with her before going to the bathroom.
"Sure thing!"
Aomine watched him as he left. But because his attention was on attention was on him, he was about to miss the fact that she was about to attempt to tamper with one of the Kings' brooms. Though Heather and Courtney caught her and stopped her.
"You can forget about trying to cheat." Heather said.
"Me? Cheating? You must have me confused for someone else." Blaineley said.
"I think we've got the right person. No one else here is named Blaineley." Courtney said.
"Alright guys! The race is about to start! I need the 12 competitors competing in this race to line up!" Chris M. called out.
"Next time, when you want to cheat, try not to make it so obvious." Heather said before she and Courtney left to spectate with the rest of their team.
***Confessional***
Blaineley(Wave Breakers):
"Unfortunately, she's right. There's just way too many people here to not get caught by someone. I'll have to play it safe for now."
***End Confessional***
The four lined up by their brooms.
"Alright guys, as I said before, this'll be a relay race with 4 from each team. Now usually, you get to choose which position you get to do, but, I won't make it that easy for you. Especially with these four more than likely being familiar with the path." Chris said, referring to Akko, Lotte, and Diana, with Sucy nowhere to be found. "Well, three."
"Where's Sucy?" Owen asked.
"Probably went to the bathroom or something." Kise said.
"Hope she hurries. She's gonna miss the start of the race." Natsu said.
"If she's already been on the course, I seriously doubt there's anything she's missing." Rally said.
"Instead, we're going to shuffle the positions for each!" Chris said.
"What? Well that ruins everything." Karin said.
"As long as we win and get to beat her, I don't care." Kageyama said, shooting a glare at Diana, who shot one right back after feeling his stare.
"What are you looking at?" Kageyama said.
"Someone that's about to taste defeat for a third time in a row." Diana said. A comment that made Kageyama steamed.
"Let's hope you don't try to cheat your way to it."
"I am not a cheater!"
"You sure about that? Doesn't seem that way to me."
"How can you say that when you have no evidence?"
"Because... because..."
"You don't." Diana said, closing her eyes with a confident smile on her face.
"You cheated at life!"
Her confidence was short lived as she was already arguing with him again. "That doesn't even make any sense!"
"Of course it doesn't to someone like you!"
"All right you two, that's enough! I can tell you guys are ready to start the race so I won't hold you. I'll call your name and your position. Once you get your position, head to where you're instructed to go by Nelson."
"First up, the Rats! Akko, you're first!"
"All right! I'll make sure to get a good start for you guys!" Akko said excitedly.
"Just try not to mess things up for me." Diana said.
"Gee Diana, way to be a team player." Akko said sarcastically.
"Lucy! Second! Lotte! Third! Which means Diana will be last!"
"Good. I was last in the last broom race and won. It looks like the same will be said here as well." Diana said.
"Way to contradict yourself. How were you last and you won?" Kageyama said.
"That wasn't what I meant!"
"To be fair, you could have been a lot more specific." Weiss said, which only started to grate on Diana's nerves.
"I've never seen her so annoyed." Akko said.
"Really? She's never been like this before?" Luz asked.
"No. It's... kinda weird to be honest."
"Kings! You're next! Sophie, you're first! Weiss, second! Luz, third! And Octavia, you're last!"
"Let's have a good race." Hanamiya said, giving a friendly smile to Luz.
"Same to you!" Luz said to Hanamiya, giving a smile back.
"Good luck!" She added, saying this to both Akko and Hanamiya.
"Thanks! You too! May the best broom rider win!"
"Akko, quit your friendly socializing. We're here to win, got it?"
"Aren't you supposed to be going to your spot?" Akko said.
"She's right. Get to your spot in the race! Now!" Chris said.
"Just try not to get us off on a bad start. That's the least you can do." She said before going to fly her broom to the spot Nelson instructed.
"Looks like mean Diana's back." Akko said, making a pouty face.
"Back? She looks like she was always a jerk." Kageyama said.
"Pretty ironic you of all people are saying that." Tsukishima commented.
"SHUT UP! I'M NOWHERE CLOSE TO BEING A STUCK-UP JERK LIKE HER!"
"Breakers! Furuya, you're first! Karin, second! Hanamiya, third! Kageyama, you're last!"
"Uh oh. This isn't good." Hinata said.
"Yeah, those two are going to go at it again I bet." Akko said.
Aomine grabbed Hanamiya by the shoulder. "Hey."
"I've got a name you know. Why do you have to be so rude?" Hanamiya said, not even turning around to look at him.
"Aomine, we gotta start man. If you wanted to say something to him, it should have been before this." Chris said.
"Whatever. Even you wouldn't be stupid enough to try something with that many eyes on you."
"Try what? Broom racing. Come on, you know me better than that. I'm always looking to try new things."
"Let him go." Din said.
He begrudgingly lets him go, hands in his pockets as he walked back to where the rest of his team was.
***Confessional***
Hanamiya(Wave Breakers):
"Just as I thought. She's just like Kiyoshi. With that friendly little smile and carefree attitude. It's people like that that make my skin crawl. But it's those people that I love crushing the most. If anything's unexpected, it's that Akko girl being the same way. In due time, I'll get her too. But today, I'll be satisfied with just one. When this is over, the Kings will be down one less Total Drama king. Or should I say, queen."
***End Confessional***
Race 3/10: Broom Race(Little Witch Academia and The Owl House)
"Welcome Total Drama fans and broom relay race fans alike to the third race in the Total Drama Gran Prix! As you already know, my name is DJ! But for this race, I'll be joined two special guests!" DJ said gesturing to gus and a teenage Kenyan girl who had spiky orange hair that sticks up to the top, and had red, slim and elliptical markings under her eyes. Along with the standard Luna Nova Vest uniform, she wore golden hoop earrings and had a yellow sash-belt to represent the yellow team for the school.
"That's right! I'm Wangari of the Luna Nova News Network!"
"And I'm Gus Porter from the Boiling Isles!"
"We're in for one heck of a race today! But it's not the 134th Luna Nova Cup! Instead, Luna Nova has been chosen to play host to the third race in this racing competition on the reality TV show Total Drama!" Wangari said as several students of Luna Nova cheered or clapped.
"And unlike the last race, I'll actually be able to explain what to expect on this track! Looks like it's back to business as usual!" DJ started. "This race takes place through a special route of the grounds of Luna Nova. First, the teams will navigate through the forest, avoiding trees as they speed along to the second checkpoint. Then, after passing the baton to their teammates, the second member of each team will continue to traverse through the forest before beginning to elevate little by little, flying over the trees before arcing upwards to the New Moon Tower, where the Sorcerer's Stone is located! And finally, the third member will descend back downwards on the other side of the tower where several stone formations are, avoiding hitting those for a painful collision and a major setback! They'll continue to traverse this and back over the forest, going under a bridge and finally back to the atheletic field, where they'll race around the track field to the fourth and final members of each team! And what awaits them then is a special surprise!" DJ said.
"Sorry guys, we can't spoil it here. If we did, it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it?" Gus said.
"Let's let Professor Nelson explain the rules to our starting three!" Wangari said.
"All right! Here's how this works! It'll be a relay race, which means you'll need to pass these batons." Nelson said, handing Akko, Furuya and Sophie brown ring batons. "Once you pass them to your teammate, they can start their section of the race. Failure to transfer these batons for any reason, or losing your baton will result in your team's instant disqualification, so make sure you hold on to them tight! Also, under no circumstances are abilities, outside of any that allow your broom to fly are allowed including magic! Failure to follow this rule will also result in your team's immediate disqualification! Does everyone understand?"
"Yes!" All three said simultaneously.
"Good! On your marks... get set..." Nelson fires a magical gun in the air. "Go!"
"Tia Freyre!" Sophie and Akko both called out.
Furuya, as instructed by Reagan, started his broom.
Gus: "And the first three are off! Akko takes the lead first, but Furuya, thanks to his souped up custom broom has sped past her!"
"Woah! Check out how fast Furuya's going!" Monta said.
"That's not a good thing, we're losing!" Rei said.
"Seriously Miyuki tell me, what's up with him? He just looks so focused but... it's like, I can't explain it. In a way, it's kind of like Kageyama." Hinata said.
"That's his competitive spirit." Miyuki said, smiling. Though it wasn't one of his mischevious grins or smiles. It was a normal smile, a little confidence added in as well.
"Oh! I get it! He just really wants to win!"
"Yeah. I didn't expect him to be like this this early. But if he is, it's a good thing for us. I guess he saw you all and how passionate you were. So he felt it was only right for him to show his passion as well and do his best. He may not be as loudmouthed as Eijun,"
"HEY! WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!" Eijun said.
"But, he loves competition just like he does." Miyuki finished.
"More." Furuya thought as he sped up.
DJ: "It's fast but I hope he can keep that thing under control. It might be a little too fast!"
"Come on Furuya!" Kaz and Eijun cheered.
"Reagan, Kageyama and the others want to win. So it's only right. That instead of slowing them down, I do my best to help this team attain victory as well!" Furuya thought.
"Is this your first time flying a broom? You seem like you're pretty good at this." Akko said to Sophie.
"Actually, yes." Sophie admitted.
"Wow, that's pretty impressive. How is magic like where you come from?" Akko asked as they continued to race, with Furuya zipping around in front of them in the background, trying to keep the lead and keep his broom under control.
"Pretty similar to yours actually. Although, unlike your world, our magic isn't powered by Yggdrasil. Nor do we need wands to cast spells."
"Oh? Can you show me?"
"Maybe after the race. For obvious reasons." Sophie said, smiling.
"Oh, right. No magic rule." Akko said before Sophie sped up to go past her.
"Hey! You can't just leave me behind! I thought we were still talking?"
"Sorry, it's still a competition after all!" Sophie said.
"What is she doing!? Stop fooling around!" Diana said impatiently, at the last relay spot watching the race from a monitor that Chris and the others were watching from. Because of where Octavia, Kageyama and Diana were, they were in the vicinity of the teams, Chris, Chef and Heloise, so they could see the race through the monitors. Other than that, the only others that could see were Gus, DJ, and Wangari, who were all in hot air balloons, following the action from above.
Other than avoiding the trees, there were no other obstacles the three needed to worry themselves about. They continued to traverse the forest, with Furuya, somehow completing the transfer of the baton to Karin, who almost had to get off her broom just to make sure it didn't fall and Sophie, perfectly transferring the baton to Weiss.
"Thanks!" Weiss said before taking off to try and catch up to Karin, who had a slight marginal lead.
Akko, a couple of seconds later, was the last to get to the relay checkpoint.
"Tia Freyre!" Lucy called out, trying to get a bit of a speeding start to try and shave off more time. Although the transfer wasn't perfect like Sophie and Weiss', it was good enough for Lucy to get it and that was all that mattered.
Wangari: "And now begins the second part of the relay race! Things are looking good so far. At least for everyone but Furuya. Hope he's okay!"
Furuya and his broom were on the ground, as he was dizzy after hitting a tree.
"That moron almost cost us the race!" Dan said.
"Well, he tried. You can't say he didn't do that." Chris P. said.
"Too hard." Dan said.
Gus: "It's a miracle he was even able to get to complete the transfer! That looked like a disaster on a stick from the start!"
Miyuki scratches his cheek as a sweat drop appeared.
"Competitive spirit huh?" Toxsa said.
"Sometimes, his fire ends up burning himself. Just like Eijun."
Eijun picks up Miyuki and shakes him. "ENOUGH WITH YOUR SLY REMARKS! IT'S NOT FUNNY!"
"Yeah, that's great and all kid but could you move to the side? Can't see." Johnny said, moving Eijun and Miyuki out of the way.
"HEY! DON'T JUST PUSH ME OUT OF THE WAY LIKE THAT!" Eijun yelled, grabbing onto Johnny's shirt now, but unable to pick him up.
"Hands off the shirt. You're gonna put wrinkles in it." Johnny said before picking him up and moving him to the side.
"You only want to see what's going on because Karin's in it." Miyuki remarked.
"Well duh. Who else would I want to see?" Johnny said.
"Yeah. And thanks to you and that hair of yours, some of us can't see." Tsukishima said.
"Then move to the side then." Miyuki said.
"What if I can't move to the side?" Tsukishima said.
"Oh yeah." Johnny said before combing it. "Thanks kid."
"That's not what I meant." Tsukishima said, facepalming.
Back to the race, Weiss was starting to make up ground.
"You're lucky I can't use my glyphs. I would have blown you away easily." Weiss said, catching up to Karin.
"There are no what-ifs. You're just making up excuses for when you lose." Karin said.
"Am not!"
"Then why mention it then?"
"Am I not allowed to say something?"
Suddenly Lucy sped past them.
"See you guys at the finish line!" Lucy said, giving them a wave and a smile as she continued ahead, starting to elevate.
"THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" Karin and Weiss said to each other.
"You've got to be kidding me! Stop arguing and let's go!" Kageyama yelled out.
DJ: "Looks like these two just can't get out of their own way. And because of that, Lucy took advantage and took first for the Rats!"
"Enough of this." Karin said before trying to kick off Weiss off her broom. Weiss, after sporting a mixed look of shock and offended that she would even do that, started to attack back.
Wangari: "What's this? They're attacking each other!? Has this ever happened before in a broom race? Is this even legal?"
"Idiots. Instead of ignoring her, she chooses to entertain it." Midorima said, referring to Weiss.
"I told you this was going to be a rivalry." Yang said to Paul, who had a look of indifference on his face as he continued to watch the race.
"You're saying this like this is a good thing. We're losing." Paul simply said, not taking his eyes off the screen.
"Well of course it's not a good thing but..." Yang started before sighing and stopping herself. There was no use in trying to argue with him. He wasn't going to care enough to really try to fire back. And, as she already said, he had a good point.
As the three continue to elevate, with Lucy already ascending to the New Moon Tower, Aomine started to leave just as Sucy returned.
"Where are you going?" Dewey asked Aomine, noticing him first.
"Bathroom." Aomine said, hands in his pockets.
"Oh hey Sucy. Glad to see you're back. You missed like half of the race." Natsu said.
"So, who's winning?" Sucy said, seemingly unbothered by Natsu's comments.
"Us! Thanks to those two fighting. They just can't seem to get out of each other's way." Tangle said, referring to Weiss and Karin, who were still fighting.
"Literally it seems like." Adrien said, causing Tangle to look back at the screen to see what he meant.
"Get out of my way!" Weiss said, as she and Karin were both grabbing onto each other's clothes, trying to pull each other off.
"No, you get out of my way!" Karin said.
Eventually, their constant pulling caused both of them to lose control and collide with the tower as they were going up.
"Lotte! Here!" Lucy said, passing the baton to her.
"Got it!" Lotte said before a determined look was seen on her face as she began to start the third section of the race.
"Damn it! What the hell are you doing? HURRY UP!" Kageyama yelled out.
"Looks like you won't even have a chance to race." Diana said.
"SHUT UP!"
Both, after hitting the tower numerous times, lost their brooms and were forced to climb the rest of the way.
"ARE YOU-" Kageyama said, trying to refrain from snapping the broom he had in half himself.
"Heh." Diana said smugly before Kageyama had steam coming out of his ears.
"Man, he is p[censored]." Haizaki commented.
"Kageyama? Mad? What's new?" Tsukishima commented.
"Just put each other in front of them. Instant rage for both.." Miyuki commented, just as entertained.
Wangari: "Uh oh. Looks like the Kings and the Breakers are in trouble! It may not be a long path to climb but that's still time lost! Can they catch up?"
They both climbed up the top after several seconds passed, with each passing to their respective teammates.
"Thanks." Both Luz and Hanamiya said simultaneously, as both had smirks on their face after being passed the batons. Though they were for completely different reasons.
DJ: "Looks like Luz and Hanamiya are off! Can they turn things around!"
Gus: "I hope so. I'd hate for this race to end on a disappointing note!"
Wangari: "Same here. I might be from Luna Nova and want Lotte and the others to win, but that doesn't mean I don't wanna see a good race!"
Hanamiya and Luz were neck and neck. That was before Hanamiya started to pick up speed, passing her.
"No you don't!" Luz said, speeding up.
"That's my girl! Go!" Eda said before noticing that Chariot was noticeably quiet.
"Come on! Those are your students out there! Show some team spirit and cheer 'em on!" She said before playfully hitting Chariot in the back.
"Right. GO LOTTE!" Chariot said, although it was a bit awkward for her to be that loud.
"There we go. Now on the last checkpoint, you gotta put a little more into it." Eda said.
Hanamiya was passed by Luz.
"Damn it!" Hanamiya said.
"Looks like our design was faster!" Bren said to Reagan said.
"It's not over yet." Reagan said.
"YOU GOT THIS LUZ! SHOW THESE LUNA NOVA GIRLS WHAT A GIRL FROM THE BAD GIRL COVEN CAN DO!" Eda called out.
"Bad Girl Coven?" Chariot asked.
"It's uh, a long story. Don't worry, it's not as bad as you think. I only stole a couple of things. Been on a few wanted posters. Some pretty tame stuff."
"Um..."
"You don't have to worry about a thing. Trust me."
"Right." Chariot said.
Luz was catching up, but she stil had a ways to go to catch up to Lotte. The three were dodging the last of the stone formations before getting close to the bridge, with Lotte crossing it first.
"Come on! Can't you go any faster?" Luz said, trying to speed it up, only for her to accidentally break the lever.
"Oops."
It then started to go haywire, causing her to fly everyone and out of control.
"Well, she wanted it to go faster." Rex said.
"But now it's too fast." Huey D. said, very concerned.
"This is not good. Not good at all." Cameron said.
Aomine returned from the bathroom, seeing how out of control Luz was as she sped past Lotte before suddenly slowing down as the engine stopped working, causing her to fall where the track was.
Gus: "And Luz is down! Wangari, is this legal? Is Luz still in the race?"
Wangari: "As long as she has the baton, and her broom, she's got a chance!"
"LOTTE! HURRY UP AND PASS IT HERE!" Diana called out.
"HANAMIYA! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR SLOWPOKE?" Kageyama called out.
Lotte was the first to get there with Octavia being second. Hanamiya was last but he seemed to have lost control at the last second as he was heading to the finish. Aomine's eyes widened. He suddenly ran onto the field in front of where Luz and the others were, there in almost an instant.
"Aomine! What are you-" Courtney started before realizing that he was already gone and on the field.
"How the heck did he get over there that fast? He was just over here!" Dewey said.
He had blue electricity coming out of his eyes, hands as if he was about to try and catch something.
"Is he in... the Zone?" Kagami said in surprise.
Aomine suddenly running onto the field had caught Octavia and Diana off guard, causing both of them to miss the portal. Hanamiya, still out of control, was suddenly going towards Heather. Jotaro was able to stop the bike from hitting her with his Stand. As the bike was in the air, Ben was the first to react, turning into XLR8 to catch the bike that Hanamiya was already falling off on.
"Ooh so close. But, no cigar Jotaro. Say goodbye." Hanamiya thought as he was falling off the bike.
The next everyone knew, screaming was heard. But not the normal funny yelling or screaming from the usual comedy of the show.
The source was Cameron.
"Cameron! Are you okay?" Zoey said as several people from the teams surrounded him as he was writhing in pain on the ground including Octavia, Diana and Kageyama. The pain was so much it was to the point that he was actually crying. Ben returned, transformed back to normal.
"Still got the baton." Hanamiya said, looking at the baton in his hand.
"Forget the baton, Cameron's hurt!" Zoey said.
"Cameron, are you alright? I'm so sorry man!" Hanamiya said, getting up to get a look at him.
"Bulls[censored]. You did that on purpose!" Aomine said, confronting him.
"You can't be serious! If you wouldn't have suddenly gotten in the way that might have not happened!" Courtney said.
"It was an accident. I was out of control." Hanamiya said.
"I did have to work on that within ten minutes. As we saw with Furuya, there were some mistakes that I didn't have time to iron out." Reagan said.
"How bad is it?" Din asked.
Mamori went to him.
"I'm going to try to check where it hurts got it? Try to stay still please."
All Cameron could do was nod.
"It's his knee." Mamori said after grabbing his leg to see where the pain was.
"Is there a hospital around?" Bakura asked. "He can't stand."
Grogu started to go over to him, getting out of his pram.
"What's he doing?" Sendo asked.
Grogu goes to where Cameron's knee was and holds his hands out.
"Please, give me some-" Mamori started, a serious look on her face as she looked at Grogu. Although she would usually be enamored by how cute he was, this wasn't one of those times.
Though Din stopped her by holding out his hand.
Mamori was a little surprised from the bounty hunter doing this.
"Does anyone know what's going on?" Priya asked. Though she didn't get a response.
A few seconds passed. Suddenly, Din went to grab him before he fell. He gently put him back in the pram.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was he trying to do?" Diana asked.
"He was trying to help him." Din simply said before getting on one knee to look at Cameron.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"It... doesn't hurt as much as before." Cameron said.
"Are you sure? I'm sure your teammates would be more than happy to take you to a hospital." Bakura asked.
"Yeah." Cameron said.
Din could tell from the tone of his voice that he was being dishonest. But he'd let Cameron tell that to his team when he was ready.
"What? That's impossible. Kiyoshi suffered that same injury and he had to get surgery. Even if he did try to play through it for a season, he was never the same until he got it. But it's not even a comparison of Kiyoshi's body to his. A puny a[censored] guy like Cameron should still be crying on the ground in pain!" Hanamiya thought.
"Chris, get a stretcher or something! Chop chop!" Heather said impatiently.
"Even when nice she does it in her usual attitude." Marinette commented.
"He's gonna have to go to a real doctor." Rally said.
"No. I'm fine. I just need some time to recover, that's all. Though, that stretcher is definitely going to be helpful." Cameron said.
"I'll get one right away." Chariot said before leaving. Sena followed her.
"I can help! Where is it?" Sena asked.
"There should be a medical room not too far after you enter. If you can't find it, there's always maps." Ursula said.
Sena, after a few seconds, was already back with a stretcher.
"Wow, that was fast." Tangle said.
Yang and Kurita put Cameron on the stretcher.
"Glad to hear you're okay. I'm sure your team is counting on you." Hanamiya said, going by his stretcher.
He was suddenly grabbed by Aomine, being picked up by his shirt.
"Yeah, I'm sure you are." Aomine said sarcastically.
"You can't possibly be thinking I did that on purpose?" Hanamiya asked.
"Actually, that's exactly what I'm thinking."
"Aomine! That's enough!" Midorima called out.
"You can't seriously be siding with him! You know exactly how he is!" Aomine said.
"I'm aware of that. But this isn't going to help anything." Midorima said.
"I won't try to disprove what you're saying since I don't know much about him, but there's no to clear evidence to prove that it was on purpose." Bakura said.
Aomine put him down and walked away, hands in his pockets.
"You're not even going to apologize? Cameron could have been injured if it wasn't for Grogu!" Zoey said. She was ignored.
"Aomine! The least you could do is apologize to Hanamiya." Courtney said, stopping him from leaving.
This caused Aomine to chuckle. Him? Apologize to Hanamiya? In his mind , that was about as possible as him entering the Zone, which in his eyes, was never going to happen.
Aomine turned to where Cameron was. "Cameron, I'm sorry for what happened to you. But I don't regret what I did. And given the chance, I'd do it a thousand times over to stop him from hurting anyone." Aomine said.
He walked past Courtney.
"Well guess what, your stupid hunch is the reason why Cameron is like this! I don't accept that poor excuse of an apology!" Zoey said angry.
Aomine simply closed his eyes and walked away.
"Aomine, I'm serious! Apologize to Hanamiya!" She said, getting in front of him again, only for him to push her out of the way. This caused her jaw to drop, shocked that he would simply just push her out of the way like that.
"On behalf of Aomine, I'm sorry for what happened." Courtney said to Hanamiya.
"Hey don't worry about it. As long as Cameron's alright, that's all that matters." He said, smiling. "If anything, I'm worried about the next game now. What's gonna happen with the race?" Hanamiya asked.
"Easy! It continues! Octavia, Kageyama, Diana! Get back to the line please!" Chris said.
"Yeah, right." Kagami said sarcastically.
"You can't seriously believe that was intentional?" Rei asked.
"He's got a track record of pulling this kind of s[censored]. So I wouldn't be surprised." Kagami said.
"Problem is, where's the proof? You saw how Furuya looked. Although, I guess I don't really have much room to talk since I don't know much about him." Adrien said.
"If he did do it on purpose, he did one hell of a job hiding it." Kise said, looking at Cameron as several of his teammates, Eda, Zoey and Dawn all went to talk to him. "But, I shouldn't be surprised. He and his team haven't survived getting away with it that long in basketball games by making it obvious." He thought.
"That's why I can't a hundred percent say he did it on purpose." Kagami said.
"I believe him." Kuroko said.
"Okay. What's your evidence then?" Rei asked.
"Aomine has only ever entered the Zone when he feels he has to. And that's only been twice. Both of which were against strong opponents like Kagami and all of Team Jabberwock." Kuroko explained.
"Wait, he was in the Zone too? He was so fast I didn't even notice." Adrien said.
"I don't get what that's supposed to mean. I guess he felt he needed to use it because he had a hunch. But he was still wrong." Rei said.
"I know it doesn't seem like much proof to really go off of but, I'll continue to believe in him. Even if no one else does." Kuroko said.
Kuroko looked at Cameron and then where Aomine formally was before he walked away, sporting a genuinely concerned look for his friend.

Hanamiya(Wave Breakers):
"Well that's unfortunate. Not only did I miss the chance to get any of those three out, but it looks like they might have a healer. So that makes crushing them moot. And besides, some of them may not be the brightest, but they're not stupid enough for them to see something like that happen again and not get suspicious, so I'll give Aomine that. Fine then. The hard way it is. I was going to treat them to a quick death. But if they want a slow death so badly, who am I to refuse? There's more than one way to break their spirits. And it looks like we have an early catch in my web. One Daiki Aomine." He said before laughing a little.

Yami Bakura(Wave Breakers):
"Like my host said, I don't know much about Hanamiya either. But, if he did do it on purpose, that was an impressive show he put on. And now, several people are against Aomine, including those on his own team. With what I've seen from these players, with Kagami's jumping and now Aomine's speed, they may be a much bigger problem than I thought. Or not. But, depending on this next race, I may have to take over earlier than expected. If they lose, there's a chance that Aomine gets blamed for the loss or voted off because of his attitude. Better to be safe than sorry."

Eliza(Storm Kings):
"Sorry, but I don't believe for one second that what happened was an accident. From what I've heard and seen, Luz, Heather and Cameron were all winners of a previous season. And it's no coincidence that he almost hit all three of them before ultimately hitting Cameron. And by the way, Karin seemed to be in control. Furuya was willing to give his best, which is what I believed caused him to go overboard. What Kageyama does will prove once and for all whether it was intentional or not, even if the others fail to see it."

"I meant what I said back there. I abandoned Tetsu when Midorima, Kise, Akashi, and Murasakibara did the same thing back in middle school when we started to drift apart. If I wouldn't have been thinking of myself, and had my head far up my a[censored] with my ego, he might have not considered quitting basketball a second time and went into depression. I hate what we did. If anything, I deserved to lose him as a friend. But I got a second chance. I won't make that mistake again. As long as I'm here, I'm not letting Hanamiya hurt anyone from my team, you hear me?"

Boiling Isles(Owl House)
DJ: "All right ladies and gentleman! After an unfortunate interruption in the race and a miracle heal by Grogu, we'll now resume the final leg of the race!"
Gus: "The three racers will traverse through the Boiling Isles, heading through to Eda's University for Wild Magic and finally to Hootie and the Owl House! Wave to the camera Hootie!"
"What's up y'all? I'm famous!" Hootie said.
"Oh yeah baby. Free promotion rules!" Eda said.
"Were you behind this collab?" Luz asked suspiciously.
"Possibly. Maybe. Yes." Eda said.
"I can't even be mad at that. If it isn't immoral or unethical, I say go for it. It's your business. Can't have customers if people don't know about it." Rally said, having experience from her ways of self promoting herself. "Speaking of advertising, if you want to learn how to wield firearms for hunting, home defense, or other needs, NOT including crime. You can go to Chicago's famous Gunsmith Cats Gun Store ran by yours truly, Rally Vincent! Heck, we're open now! So go ahead and give us a visit or call!" She said, winking and pointing to the camera.
"Ooh, improv. Like it." Eda said.
"Thanks. It was nothing too crazy though. I wanted to do something to publicly promote myself the last time I was here. But uh, yeah. I wasn't exactly too open to talking to people the first bit of the show. And the times I did talk about it weren't exactly full-blown promotions. Or at least promotions in the way I wanted them to be." Rally said.
"You still aren't." May said.
"At least I am more than before. Sorry, but unlike you and some others here, I'm not a chatterbox. Not my thing. No offense."
"None taken partner." May said.
Wangari: "Let's get started! This is for all the marbles! Ready?"
Kageyama and Diana gave each other looks while Octavia remained calm.
"This isn't going to be easy. I'm not familiar with this place so unless there's some indication of where each thing is, I might have a hard time. But I won't give up!" Diana thought.
"This is it. Prepare to lose, Diana!" Kageyama thought.
Wangari: "GO!"
The three went into the portal.
Gus: "And they're off! Diana and Kageyama both jump out at an early lead, but Octavia is still looming behind, seemingly waiting for her chance to pass them both. But obviously, she can't wait forever!"
The three were flying through Bonesborough, flying past several people and stores.
"Come on, can't this thing go any faster?" Kageyama said, pressing on the pedal.
"You saw what happened to Furuya and Hanamiya and you insist on trying to push it yourself as if the same thing won't happen? You really don't have a brain do you?" Diana said.
"Shut up! I know what I'm doing! As long as it's fast enough to win, that's all I need!" Kageyama said before losing control for a bit.
"Apparently no-" She had to avoid getting hit from Kageyama as he was still out of control.
"Watch it!"
DJ: "Looks like it's Weiss and Karin all over again! With Octavia being Lucy as she takes the lead from the duo!"
"Wait, what!?" Kageyama and Diana said simultaneously before both looked over and saw that the Scan2Go announcer wasn't lying. Ocatavia was leading and the gap was starting to widen.
"Those morons! GET MOVING YOU IDIOTS!" Sendo yelled out.
"Kageyama's not on our team, remember?" Noah asked.
"I KNOW THAT! I'M TALKING ABOUT DIANA!"
"You said 'idiots' as in multiple. I'm not sure you do." Rei said.
"WELL I DO DAMN IT!"
"Well then say that without yelling in my face!" Rei said, trying to contain her own anger.
"Can you both be quiet? We're trying to hear the race!" Yang said.
Sendo sighs. "What a pain. I'm just ready to be in a challenge already."
"You and me both." Natsu said. "Don't you think I thought about that? I can't fly a damn broom!" Sendo said.
Gus: "And they're almost there! Well, Octavia anyway. Diana and Kageyama fell off their brooms and are fighting."
"WHAT!?" Sendo yelled.
"Get... off of me!" Diana said, trying to get him off.
"You first!" Kageyama said.
"Get off of Diana!" Barbara said.
"Why are you letting that guy get into your head?" Hannah called out.
"Hannah's right. I've never seen Diana so angry." Akko commented.
"Really?"
"No. It's not like her at all. She's usually cool and composed. Even when you think she shouldn't be. What's going on?"
"The last time I could think of she sort of like this was during the faerie protest at the school." Lotte pointed out.
"Huh?"
"Yeah. Don't you remember?"
"You called her an aristocrat. And she got really mad." Sucy said to Akko. "But not as mad as this."
"Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that." Akko said.
"An aristocrat. What's that?" Hinata asked.
"Basically, it's a noble. Which is exactly what Diana is since she came from a high-class family." Becky B. explained.
"But it's true isn't it? I guess she's mad because someone brought it up in a negative light." Emma said.
"Maybe." Akko said before looking back at the race.
DJ: "And Octavia's at the university, and is already about to make a loop around to the Owl House! Looks like this one's already been decided!"
They saw Octavia getting ready to come back towards them.
"This is your fault!" Diana and Kageyama said to each other simultaneously.
"I'm not going to get last again!" Kageyama said before getting back to his broom.
"Come back here! I won't lose to you!" Diana said.
"Well, if there's one thing for sure, she definitely has a competitive spirit." Hinata said, referring to Diana.
They both get on their brooms and started to fly. Both trying to go faster, they got to the school, though Kageyama's flying was sloppy while doing so and looped around like Octavia did.
"Eat my dust!" Kageyama said.
"As if I would lose to you!" Diana said.
"Just stay focused Diana. You can recover. He has no flying experience. I need to use that to my advantage. Stop letting him get into your head." Diana thought.
"Even if she has more experience over me, I should be faster than her. It's a risk, but if I can time my boost just right, I can beat her. That's the advantage. That's my key to victory. I just have to ignore her remarks and focus." Kageyama thought.
As they continued to go through the Isles, everything was a lot more silent than the spectators expected.
"They're not arguing anymore? Just like that?" Hinata said.
"It's not that. If anything, they just simply want to win. And let their flying do the talking." Kise said.
"If Kagami can lead us to victory, then why shouldn't I do the same? I must win! Not just for myself, but for my team!"
"No matter the odds. No matter what wall stands before me. I will break through it! And fight for my team!"
Wangari: "They're almost there! Which of these two will come out on top?"
Kageyama sees the exact spot that he wants to boost in.
"I have to take the inside!" Diana thought, believing that was a closer route to getting to Hootie.
"Got it!" Kageyama said out loud.
"I WILL WIN!" Kageyama and Diana said simultaneously.
"Over here guys!" Hootie said before seeing the two about to crash right into him. "Oh hoot!"
They both flew right into Hootie and crashed into the house, right into each other.
Both tried to shake themselves into regaining their senses.
"Uh oh." Kageyama said, seeing the top of the roof broken.
"Excellent." Diana said sarcastically.
A portal suddenly opened and Doyle yanked both of them.
"Gotcha!" He said.
Luna Nova Academy
"Who won the race?" Kageyama asked Chris as he and Diana rushed up to him.
"It was obviously me. Just show the proof to him." Diana said.
"Actually, Octavia won. Like about a minute or two ago." Chris said.
Both had agitated looks after being reminded of this.
"Did at least beat her/him?" Both asked, pointing to each other simultaneously.
"Actually, no. That was a tie." Chris answered.
"WHAT!?" Both said.
"You can't be serious!" Kageyama said.
"I'd like to see the proof!" Diana said.
"Here you go!" Chris said. The footage showed both of them flying into each other as Kageyama chose a place to boost, which was the exact place Diana wanted to go as well, causing both to collide into one another.
"You got in my way!" Kageyama said.
"What? No I didn't!"
DJ: "And with this, the Kings take back command of the Grand Prix, with the Rats and Breakers being right behind, both tied at second!"
Standings(3/10 Races Completed):
Kings: 4
Breakers: 3
Rats: 3
"I can't believe I tied with a stuck-up bully like you." Kageyama grumbled.
"A bully!? I don't pick on others! If I say anything about my accomplishments, I back them up with action and hard work, unlike your constant loud barking." Diana said.
"You're lying! You bully people with your status!"
"That's not really much of a base to stand on honestly." Emma said.
"Yeah. That's rich coming from the guy with a title like yourself." Tsukishima said.
"You two stay out of this!" Kageyama said.
"Come on you guys." Akko said.
"You two did really good." Hinata said.
"Now shake hands and say 'good game'." Luz said.
"No way!" Kageyama said.
"I refuse." Diana said.
"Do it." Akko said.
"Come on." Hinata insisted.
"Fine!" Diana and Kageyama said.
"I... suppose you were a decent opponent." Diana said.
"You were... you were... wait a minute did you say decent!?"
"I gave you a compliment okay? How are you not satisfied with that?"
"What the hell do you mean decent? I fought with you until the very end! And you're supposed to be some expert flyer or prodigy something. And all that counts for is decent!?"
"YOUR FLYING IS SLOPPY! IF I'M NOT HONEST, HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO GET BETTER?"
"WHILE I APPRECTIATE THE ADVICE, THE LAST PERSON I WANT HELP FROM FOR FLYING IS YOU SO NO THANK YOU!"
"If you want to foolishly stay in mediocrity, so be it!" Diana said.
"I don't want to be bad! I want to be good at it and get better! I'm just not about to learn from you!"
"Then who else will you learn it from? Certainly not Akko."
"Hey!" Akko said.
"I don't know. But it won't be from you that's for sure!"
"All they had to say was good game. Was that so hard?" Luz said.
"For those two? I guess so." Hinata said.
"All right, I think it's about time we take a bit of a break. When we come back, we'll continue the grand prix right here on Total... Drama... Across the Multiverse!" Chris said as Diana and Kageyama were still arguing.
"You and Oikawa would get along so well!"
"I don't even know who that is!"
"Just know that it's not a compliment!"
"Well then I don't want to know who it is!"
"I've got two words for you two: Walk away." Tsukishima said.
"I've never seen Diana this worked up before so keep doing it." Sucy said, clearly entertained.
"YOU TWO BE QUIET!" Both said.
"Cut the camera!" Chris said.
A/N: And that's Part two! Sorry for taking so long here. Was tired so I decided to take the time to finish up and change some things around today.
With how things are right now, even without villains such as Eliza, Hanamiya, Yami Bakura, and Yulaw directly interacting with the cast, there's still conflict and guys being competitive with each other lol. But that's what makes it fun. And guys like Aomine, Kagami and several others love it since they get to go up against strong opponents. Guess you could say it takes a bit of a page out of Norbert's Endless playbook(for those that have heard of it).
