37. Guns, Glory and GRENADES! Part 2

A/N: Now that the disclaimer's out of the way, let the matches begin!

Also finally got around to watching some of the Funimation's version of the Prince of Tennis dub. Should help with some of the writing of Echizen. Believe it or not, some of my writing differs based on VAs too(even though Echizen's dub VAs shouldn't make too much of a difference, both the Toonami and Funi Dub VAs are pretty good imo).

A couple of other notes for some of the other things in the game as some things from it may interact with some of the contestants differently. Don't think it'll play much of a role but in the odd case that it does, here it is:

Solar Energy : Exactly as it sounds. The heat element of the game. I'd imagine characters like Natsu would be immune to most solar weapons and abilities since I don't think most of them are stronger than his own flames.

Stasis Energy : Ice Element. Same theories as before with Natsu's interactions with this element as solar. I'd imagine he'd have resistance to it. Resistance, but not complete immunity.

Strand: I doubt this'll play much of a factor since this element was introduced this expansion, but I might as well mention it anyway in the slight chance it does. As Bungie described, Strand is a form of psychic energy. It is the energy of the mind that ties every living thing together. Think of string theory if you've heard of it.

Void Energy: Energy related to dark energy/matter. Wielders can generate things such as black holes, gravity waves among other spacetime-warping effects. The color of this element is purple energy. It is also the source of suppression effects and is the inverse of Strand. The same way Stasis and Solar are inverses of one another.

Arc Energy: Energy related to electricity and electromagnetism to keep it short. Characters like Static(if he were here) would have complete immunity to most effects of it.

Kinetic: No elemental affinity. Best comparison of this(for most weapons of this damage type) is the closest thing you'll get to the bullets you'll see in today's weapons.

"Welcome back! No, we're not doing an intro or recap. I just ended it to give people time to decide to skip, that's it. Reminder, if you haven't done it already for whatever reason, if you want to skip this episode, skip it now. You've been warned. Twice!" Chris said.

"Now then, let's get to the 12 that will be battling it out." Chris said.

He and the non-participating contestants stayed behind and would watch the match via interdimensional cable. Though Doyle, Heloise and Chef were all notably absent.

The Tower

The Last City, Earth(Destiny 2)

Like the last time this challenge was introduced, there were several people dressed in various armor of different colors, with some also having robes, cloaks or just cloths on the side of them. These were other Guardians in the tower.

Some of them were socializing, others visiting vendors, and some were fooling around by dancing, flicking coins, etcetera.

"Looks like things haven't changed too much here it seems." Yang commented.

"Guessing it's been a while since you've last been here." Luz guessed.

"Yeah. Don't know how long exactly. Just know that it's been a good minute."

"These people. Are they Guardians too? I noticed that some of them don't seem to be human." Razer asked.

"Yep. Being a Guardian isn't exclusive to being a human you know."

"So…. what exactly does it take to be a Guardian?" Luz asked.

"In most cases, you have to be dead." Yang started.

"Wait, seriously!? So in order for me to be a Guardian and get those cool powers, I have to die? Well, sucks for me then. In like several cases, I can't die. And if I do, it's not permanent. Kind of why I'm not so worried about this challenge. I think it'll be fun." Nimona said.

"I'm assuming that's not the end right? Unless Shaxx here is undead." Reagan said.

"Of course not! I was chosen by the Traveler and born again." Shaxx said.

"Unfortunately though, he has no recollection of the person that he was in his previous life. The same can't be said for this firecracker though." Another voice said. It was some sort of floating machine slightly larger than a human hand. It consisted of a spherical core with a single glowing blue"eye", which is surrounded by a "shell" of several pieces that can separate and rotate freely around the central sphere. The shell was notably yellow and black and the voice coming from it was clearly female.

"Stinger? I'd say I should have known but, I didn't think I'd be back here again in the first place. Ever!" Yang said, more than happy to see the small machine.

"Who's this?" Luz asked.

"This is my Ghost, Stinger."

"Former Ghost." Stinger said.

"You're saying that as if you found another Guardian."

"True. There's no one as fun as you. And before any of you ask, Ghosts are not robots. Machines, but not robots. What robot do you know can bring in their Guardian's weapons on demand?"

"Weapons? You mean the ones that we saw before?" Marinette asked, referring to the weapons seen being wielded by Guardians.

"Well, are there any other weapons out there that Guardians use?" Stinger asked.

"Other than your fists." Yang said.

"Yeah, well, that too, but I think she meant like actual 'shoot, shoot' weapons."

"Makes sense."

"As for what Ghosts are, we were created by the Traveler. Made to find and resurrect those that can wield the Light as Guardians. How we each choose our partners is different. All depends on the Ghost honestly. And anyone that hasn't found one yet, find other ways to make themselves useful. In my case, being a part of the Vanguard's covert Spectral Network after Yang left me." Stinger explained, the last part having a twinge of playful sadness.

"So you did miss me."

"Not much. Maybe….. a little. As for how we met, to keep it short, her and her friends seemed to have a spark inside of them. Some of that spark being their Semblance. Granted, we had no recollection of what any of that meant in our database at that time, but, learning more about it, the world of Remnant definitely seems like an interesting place."

Shaxx returned with a box full of weapons. "Speaking of weapons, here they are! Your instruments of destruction! For those interested in them, use them well, and enjoy! The Gunsmith can explain how they work better than I can. But, I can explain the basics! The three ammo types are primary, special and heavy. Primary weapons must still be reloaded when the magazine runs empty, but the reserves are infinite. Special and heavy weapons however, is a different story. These are limited. In the case of crucible matches, you will never start with heavy ammo loaded." Shaxx explained before laughing. "Picture this. You start your first Crucible match as a rookie. And your greeting? Getting hit by someone swinging a sword! Or getting blasted by a rocket launcher from several feet away! While I would agree that this would be quite the welcoming, I also believe that there are other, fairer ways to welcome new blood to the Crucible. That's just as, if not more explosive!" Shaxx said.

"As for how to pick up heavy ammo, you'll need to either pick up heavy ammo from the crates located throughout the arena, or from fallen combatants that have said ammo on hand. You will however, start with special ammo. The scenarios to get more are more or less the same here."

"Now then, the last time we did this I told you that there were other surprises in some of these weapons that you wouldn't experience. This is no longer the case here! I told you that I wanted to see you at your best, your strongest. And I meant it! Win or lose, I don't want any of you to feel like you didn't give it your all. Which is why I am also bringing in even more instruments of destruction found throughout the solar system, used in one of our latest additions to the ever-changing and ever-growing lineup of Crucible game types, Relic! And of course, who would forget Scorch Cannons! All of these weapons, relics, and your own personal abilities will be at your disposal in these games. Among other surprises found in each specific arena. Now then, for those that want to do so, choose your weapons, and we'll be able to get started!" Shaxx said. "But don't worry, should you choose not to use weapons, that's fine too! Sometimes, a fist is just as good as any gun!"

As they began to choose weapons, back on the island, Chris was presented with a question.

"If this is a returning challenge, how come this isn't double elimination?" Reimu asked.

"Because, I was told beforehand from Shaxx that this wasn't going to be the same thing. Six-on-six matches are different from the four-on-four matches that was done last time." Chris answered.

"This is probably the most accurate response. While both still require strategy, four-on-four, and by extension, three-on-three matches, require a lot more strategy and teamwork compared to the large scale six-on-six combat. Hence why the modes seen for the number of players competing are tailored to fit these scales of combat." Weiss explained. "Had it been four-on-four, or even three-on-three, this would have been at least a double elimination scenario as Chris already explained before."

"You couldn't have just scaled that down a little? Not gonna lie, that was a mouthful to listen to." Aomine said.

"Well how else was I supposed to explain it?"

"You could have just said the four-on-four and three-on-three matches are completely different compared to six-on-six ones. Six-on-six focuses on large scale fights, while four-on-four and three-on-three focuses more on smaller scale ones which rely a lot more on strategy and teamwork." Blake said.

"That's literally the same thing!"

"That's the point you idiot." Aomine said.

"Pretty ironic coming from you."

"You know what? I'll take Midorima back now."

"And have him go off about his lucky items 24/7? No thanks." Tsukishima said.

"And what do you mean you'll take Midorima back?" Weiss asked Aomine.

"I'm saying you're more annoying than him. And that's saying something."

"See?" Blake said.

"Whatever. And for the record, I agree. Let's swap Midorima with Aomine. I think everyone will agree with this deal wholeheartedly."

"Yep. Trade away the guy that saved your a[censored] from getting eliminated. Heck of a way to say 'thanks'." Aomine said, eyes half closed.

"For the record, I gave you your 'thank you'."

"Wow. The fact that you're actually proud of that, is really concerning."

" 'Thank you'? Weiss, what's he talking about?" Ruby asked as the two teams of six began to finalize their picks.

"Nothing to be concerned about. He clearly isn't grateful for it, so why would I be proud to share it?"

"It was spaghetti and meatballs. But more like a b[censored]dization of it than anything else." Aomine revealed.

Weiss was in shock that he'd just casually reveal that to everyone. "I gave my best effort and that's how you describe it? And so casually at that."

"What? It sucked. I told you it tasted bad. You were the one that was open to criticism."

"Wow Weiss. You actually tried cooking for him?" Ruby R. asked, amazed that would do something like that for him.

"Yes. Like I said, it was a thank you for his generosity and patience in assisting me with the cooking." Weiss said.

"Considering what happened the last time you tried making a meal, I find it hard not to believe he's wrong." Kageyama said.

"Arcite! Set the maps for every proceeding match after this one to random queue please!" Shaxx said to the Frame robot Arcite 99-40 back in the Tower.

"Maybe she cooked out all of the flavors? Seeing as how she burned all of the meat." Bennett proposed which caused Rei and Miyuki to have to stifle their laughter because of how deadly serious he was, genuinely not trying to be hurtful.

"What? I wasn't trying to be funny."

"That's what makes it even worse." Sly said.

"You should be the last person laughing." Kagami said to Rei.

"True, but it's still funny." Rei said.

"Well, at least we learned one thing from this: Kagami and Aomine are the last two people to look to for sensitivity." Julie said.

"Or tactfulness." Becky B. said.

"Agreed." Several people echoed in agreeance.

"You say agreed. That's because you haven't dealt with people just like them I bet." Tsukishima said.

"Who are you talking about?" Hinata asked.

"Take a good, long guess."

"Hmm..." Hinata tried his hardest to think.

Miyuki had both of his index fingers above Furuya and Eijun's heads and pointing downwards at them for several people to blatantly see. Both of them turned with Eijun actually grabbing Miyuki's right arm.

"You trying to make fun of me again!?" Eijun said, having no clue that Miyuki was talking about them.

"Of course not! I was just giving Hinata suggestions." Miyuki said, grinning.

"Of course he wouldn't say that!" Eijun insisted.

"To be honest, you do do some boneheaded stuff." Kageyama said.

"The fact that you don't even know you're basically talking about yourselves, with the exception of Tsukishima and Miyuki makes all of you buffoons! Kagadummy is a good name for you! I should come up with one for Scott too." Beta said.

"Am I really getting insulted by a talking bear? Where the heck did you come from anyway?" Kagami asked.

"I'm with Hailey and Scott. Long story short, I'm here to assist them. Not like you'd understand the rest anyway. Surprised you actually know English."

"YOU TRYIN' TO CLOWN ME? 'CAUSE I'LL METEOR JAM YOUR A[CENSORED] INTO THE WATER IF YOU ARE!"

"You can't meteor jam without the Zone dumba[censored]." Aomine said.

"Yes I can! Well, kind of."

"Kind of isn't actually doing it. I guess you can kind of enter the Zone too."

"What does that have to do with anything!? And I'm telling you I did. I did it when... never mind." Kagami said, blushing.

"You did it when what? Why are you blushing like that?" Rei asked suspiciously.

"It ain't nothin' you need to worry about." Kagami said.

"Tell me!"

"No!"

"I said tell me!" Rei said, getting in his face as both of their cheeks were red.

"I ain't tellin' your nosy a[censored] s[censored]!" Kagami said, not backing down.

"Why do you want to know so bad?" Todd asked Rei.

"I'm just... I..." Rei started, face turning red, desperately trying to find a way out without making it seem like she was worried about Kagami for some reason or came off as jealous.

"The first match is about to start!" Kise said.

"Perfect timing too. This didn't look like it was gonna stop anytime soon." Miyuki said.

"You say that as if you weren't participating in it as well." Noah said.

"Yeah, I know."

"You know what? That's an awesome idea Beta. Sometimes I call Hailey Hales. Be only right if I had one too." Scott said.

"You would respond to that when nobody cares anymore." Tsukishima said as Rei breathed a sigh of relief.

Rei(Radical Rats):

"Was I overbearing with that question? Okay, maybe. I-it's not as if I cared because I was jealous or anything." Rei said, waving it off quickly before laughing as her face was cherry red and sighing. "Okay. Yeah, that was definitely too much. I don't want to come off as some clingy creep. I need to apologize to him."

"Okay... maybe I shouldn't have yelled in her face like that. Respectin' people's privacy is one thing. But I shouldn't have yelled. I should probably apologize."

The match was set to begin!

Weapons/Abilities:

A/N: Some of these signature abilities are inspired by things I've seen from different games or their respective franchises in general. Mayhem in general is a crazy mode, so expect to see a lot of crazy/exaggerated stuff happen that you probably won't see in other challenges this season(E.G. Master Control for Ben, infinite Zone for Kuroko characters). Even more so as I added Relics as well.

Also, like in the game, Ultimates/Supers have a cooldown per use. Cooldown can be reduced from defeating enemies. And in the case of Mayhem, these cooldowns are significantly reduced, from minutes to just seconds.

Breakers:

Trace Rifle(Fires Arc Energy)(Special Weapon)

Tractor Cannon Shotgun(Void Exotic Heavy) Ability: Supresses most target's abilities and knocks them back

Ultimate Ability: TIME CARDS! :Reagon pilots a large yellow robot

Zak M.:

Witherhoard(Exotic Kinetic Grenade Launcher) Ability: Leaves a blight on the ground, damaging any enemy inside of it; Any enemy hit by the projectile mid-flight is blighted, causing them to take significantly more damage over time. Enemies defeated this way leave a blight on the ground.

Ultimate Ability: Agent of Chaos: Zak, using the smoke mirror, can bring out Fiskerton Monday, Komodo Monday, or Zon Monday to help him out. Alternatively, Zak can opt to use Doc's Battle Glove or Drew's Fire Sword

Nimona:

Dragon's Breath

Wave Frame(Solar)(Special) Ability: A wave of solar energy travels across the ground instead of a traditional grenade projectile

Ultimate Ability: Weapons are so metal!: Nimona gets access to one extra exotic of her choosing for 10 seconds.

Toxsa/Valorn:

*No Weapons other than his own*

Ultimate Ability: Valorn Tenkai Titan Mode: Toxsa temporarily enters Titan Mode and receives benefits from entering said mode

Ultimate Ability: Instruments of revenge! :Dan uses a flamethrower, a chainsaw, or TNT

Hailey/Futurisma:

*Uses her own abilities*

Ultimate Ability: Hero Force Assemble!/Get Yoked! : For 10 seconds, Hailey can call on one of her teammates of her choosing not in the match for help. However, damage taken is shared and she cannot use any abilities for those ten seconds. Alternatively, Hailey can call forth a Yoked Beta to stamp out her enemies. Same drawbacks apply.

Heavy Grenade Launcher(Solar Energy)

Ultimate Ability: Cryptid Family: Zak can call on Zon, Fiskerton or Komodo to help him. Or, he can call upon one of the discovered cryptids within the cryptipedia to help him.

Paul:

*Will use his Pokemon*

Ultimate Ability: Stand by for battle!: Paul temporarily has access to Pokemon not on hand for 30 seconds. However, this must take the place of a Pokemon Paul has on hand and he cannot use any more until the seconds pass or the Pokemon is defeated.

Marinette/Ladybug:

Submachine Gun(Fires void energy)

Ultimate Ability: Lucky Charm! : Marinette uses her lucky charm ability to bring out whatever object she needs for her current situation. However, she reverts back to normal for 15 seconds. During that period, she is a lot more vulnerable to attacks. (The drawback was created by me and isn't accurate to what's seen in the show)

Luz:

*Will use her glyphs*

Sword(Heavy Weapon)

Ultimate Ability: Now Eat this Sucka! : Luz temporarily gains use of her magic abilities along with flight

Razer:

Sniper Rifle(Stasis Ice Element)

Hard Light Exotic Auto Rifle; Ability: Shots bounce off hard surfaces; Can change to solar, arc and void elements

Sword(Solar)

Ultimate Ability: Righteous Fury/Super Battery: Unleashing the full power of his rage, Razer sends forward an unblockable stream of red energy forward, instantly defeating any enemy hit by it. Alternatively, Razer can massively increase the defense and attack of allies by him. However, after either, he will be left vulnerable without the power of his rings for several seconds.

Yang(Aided by her Ghost Stinger):

Shotgun(Solar)

Tommy's Matchbook Exotic Auto Rifle(Solar) Ability: After firing for a few seconds, this weapon's damage increases and burns enemies hit by it but also burns the user, damaging them over time until they stop firing.

Rocket Launcher(Solar)

Exotic Armor: Twilight Garrison chest armor; Ability: Provides an airborne dodge(cooldown is 3 seconds after use)

Super: Hammer of Sol/Burning Maul/Fist of Havoc/Thundercrash: Along with the use of her Semblance, Yang now has access to her lightbearing abilities including grenades, melees and supers.

Hammer of Sol: Surrounded in solar energy, Yang hurls fiery, explosive hammers at her opponents, scorching the earth and leaving sunspots in their wake, burning enemies inside them

Fist of Havoc: Yang, surrounded by arc energy, slams her fists into the ground before sprinting for a short period of time. In this state, she can either charge forward or slam the ground again, leaving a field of electricity in her wake and blinding any surviving opponents.

Thundercrash: Yang, surrounded by arc energy, flies through the air like a missile. Making contact with any object or opponent will cause her to slam into them with great force, leaving electricity in her wake

Burning Maul: Yang, surrounded in solar energy, summons a flaming maul and can either slam it into the ground, crushing enemies that make contact with it along with leaving a wave of fire that slightly tracks and leaves a cyclone of fire in its wake. She can also spin the maul around to attack opponents with it directly.

Arena: First Light

Mare Cognitum, Moon

An overview of the arena was shown. It was rocky, and had several steep cliff and hills, a laboratory, and fissures in the Moon's crust. The fissures spewed a sickly yellow miasma. Several lunar vehicles and a couple of colony buildings were seen along with the laboratory which showed signs of human colonization. At least before the ancient alien species known as the Hive overran the planet. While they're still present, Guardian presence has kept them at bay. This area in particular, had been cleared out as an arena for Crucible matches.

The two teams appeared on opposite sides of the arena, the Breakers appearing on the higher elevated portion of it, though neither team were at a vantage point to be able to see the other to start off.

"Mayhem clash!" Shaxx announced the match type.

Mayhem: No Mercy. No limits. Annihilate your enemy. First to 200 points wins.

Shaxx: "Mayhem is a coming together of friends! Now do what friends do! Incinerate each other with your abilities!"

"Yeah, that is not what friends do." Hailey said. In her Futurisma costume, which also had her using a matching green staff that had an orb in the middle called the "Orb of Justice".

Hailey(Wave Breakers):

"Not saying this as if I'd come back, because I probably won't after this season. But... under no circumstances should this guy ever be allowed to host any Total Drama season. Look at he's saying!"

Chris:

"You know what? If it wasn't for the fact that he keeps trying to introduce himself in ways that would destroy my stuff I'd let him come up with several challenges for a season. The guys in the Crucible work with bombs! They do stuff like this! And all of it is considered fun! Some hate him. Me personally? I love him! Drifter too!"

***End Confessional***

"HOLD IT!" Shaxx called out, which stopped the teams as they were on the move. "I just remembered something. Chris told me that you all have done musicals in the past. To keep up with this, and help ensure that I come back, here is my contribution. Enjoy!"

Shaxx clears his throat.

"I'm on the mooooon." Shaxx sung. "Now! All of you! With me!"

"It's made of cheese." All 12 and Shaxx sung.

"And that's it! Now then, get to the fighting!"

"Wait, that's it?" Luz said in disbelief.

"Yeah, that's not what I was expecting." Chris said.

"What? I don't know any songs! This was the best I could come up with! You wanted a song, and you got one. Now then, less talking, more explosions! The clock is running!"

As the teams were on the move, vehicles were seen. There were three Fallen Pikes, which were single user, hovercraft-like vehicles. Two were standard pikes, while one was a blue Heavy Pike. While it moved and shot slower, the projectiles did more damage and strafing shot out shock grenades.

Green and orange Cabal interceptor tanks were also seen on each side next to where the teams appeared. These tank-like hovercrafts were also single user, but were a lot more heavily armored compared to Fallen Pikes. However, they also moved slower, but their solar cannons did more damage than even Heavy Pikes. Turrets and Relic depots were also seen throughout the arena.

"Tenkai energy is now at optimal level Valorn. Shall I activate Titan Mode?" The onboard Tenkai Knight AI asked Toxsa.

"Do you even have to ask? Heck yeah!" Toxsa said.

"Wait, then that should mean..." Reagan said before looking in the interface that was in the helmet of her suit. Everyone's abilities were fully charged, thanks to Shaxx's delay on the match.

Toxsa spins the staff he had in hand for several seconds before he returned to brick form. The smaller green brick transformed into a larger black one.

"Valorn! Tenkai Titan Mode! Activate!"

Tenkai Boosters appear and hooked themselves on as the legs appear and leg armor attaches as well. Shoulder guards and the head and chest plate attach as well. Completing the transformation, Toxsa punches his fists together as a larger spear and shield appears available for him to wield.

"Yeah! Now we're playing with power!" Toxsa said as his transformation completed.

Toxsa(Wave Breakers):

"Yep, that was a game reference. For all my fellow gamers out there, take a good guess at what I'm talking about. If you do, you'll just get an air pat on the back I guess. No cookies or anything like that."

***End Confessional***

Along with becoming twice his original size, standing slightly taller than Reagan's robot, he also received a turtle-like chestplate.

He dropped down on the ground as several of his teammates looked at him in shock.

"Does everyone have superpowers that we don't know about!? Like you Hailey, are you secretly a superhero too?" Reagan asked.

"Uh, no. This is just my Futurisma cosplay. Which apparently now in this case is real." Hailey said before coming to a realization. "Wait, I'm the real Futurisma! This is so cool! I can't believe it took being on a reality show of all places for this to happen. But, still nice though."

"Thunder Punch!"

Electivire knocks Toxsa flat on the ground before Razer and Yang wiped them all out with a Righteous Fury attack and Thundercrash respectively.

"Was that all of them? THAT WAS ALL OF THEM!" Shaxx yelled.

Kings: 6 points+3 bonus points for each Ultimate Defeat(x6)=24 points

Breakers: 0

"Now that's what I call coming in with a Yang." Yang said.

"Now that was the one thing I didn't miss." Stinger said.

The 6 Breakers appeared on different areas of the arena.

"Kings! Great job! You saw your enemy was unprepared and you punished them for it!"

"Breakers! So you got blitzed. BLITZ... THEM... BACK!"

"That we will Shaxx. The real battle starts now!" Toxsa declared.

And that it did. Though it was difficult for them to find a groove for a bit because of the fact that they were all scattered, making it easy for the Kings, who decided to just converge all together to pick them all off again. At least it seemed that way. For Toxsa, even as Valorn, he was beaten. Along with Reagan. But it was Dan that busted up their plans. Or them. Literally.

Using his Instruments of Vengeance, TNT exploded, catching an overaggressive Yang, and an overeager Luz and Zak off guard and causing Paul and his Pokemon along with Marinette to have to scatter/dodge to avoid the explosion. Razer used a shield to block the explosion. Zak, Yang and Luz weren't exactly as lucky as those three. They were annihilated.

"Yes! Three down!"

Breakers: 3 points+3 Instrument of Destruction Defeats(x3)=12 points

"Screw you and your powers! And your Poke-whatever they are! I have TNT on my side!" Dan yelled out. "You hear me!? T-N-T!"

"Yeah, I think we all heard you. Everyone from Earth probably did too." Zak M. said, dropping down from the sky,with the assistance of Zon Monday. Zon Monday is a teal and green cryptid known as an Ornithocherius with black wings and purple eyes. There is an additional set of purple "eyes" on the inside of her wings.

"You know what? I can't even complain about not playing fair. Because I'd do the exact same thing." Zak M. said to Paul as he stood up, completely unconcerned about Zak's remark.

"Gyarados! Hyper Beam!"

Along with Electivire, he was also using Gyrados, opting to use two Pokemon at a time instead of one, giving him good options on offense and defense while at the same time not burning through all of his Pokemon.

This caused Dan and Zak to have to duck the attack to avoid being hit. The rock formations behind them were hit but not enough to completely just fall apart. However, one of the turrets was caught in the crossfire and was destroyed.

"Now that you've left yourself vulnerable." Zak M. said before firing the black Witherhoard grenade launcher he had in hand at Paul himself instead of his Pokemon.

"Electivire! Protect!"

Electivire steps in and creates a green force field to block the attack. However, instead of completely going away, the grenade projectile bounces off the shield and lands on the ground creating blight.

"Get out of there! Now!" Paul commanded.

Electivire, though it took damage, jumped away from the blight as it lingered on the ground.

Zak decided to shoot another one as Dan continued to send endless Kinetic bullets their way with one of the auto rifles he had.

Though Electivire and Gyarados dodged all of them. And because of how slow the Witherhoard grenade traveled, they were able to easily dodge it and allow the grenade to harmlessly hit the ground. Though it still left a blight on the ground.

Before Razer could pull out his sword and battle Zak, he was met with an energy blast that he barely dodged. The source being Toxsa, causing him to respond back in return with his own red energy blast, though Toxsa blocked it with his shield.

Marinette was busy dealing with Nimona, who was in an interceptor tank shooting at her. Using her speed as Ladybug, she timed her jump over the tank and avoiding the solar projecticles Nimona was firing her way before grabbing a hold of the Nimona herself with her yo-yo. What she didn't expect was for her to turn into a bull and basically send her on a rodeo before stopping and sending Marinette flying. She would have been done for as the impact on the rock she was headed for would have been eough to take her out, but an unsuspecting Luz, who was in her half-titan form in the air, battling a flying Hailey, unintentionally caught her.

"Thanks." Marinette said.

"Thanks? I didn't even know you were-" Luz started before being hit by a sword from a charging Asta that was ascending in the air, who Hailey had called on to assist her, causing Marinette to fall to the ground and get rammed by a charging Nimona, who was, well, now a ram, hard enough to take her out of the game for a bit.

Meanwhile, Luz was trying to hold on to Asta's sword to block the attack, but suddenly felt as if energy was leaving from her body. This sudden sensation gave Asta the chance he needed to attack again.

"Take this!" Asta called out, using his Demon-Dweller Sword to hit Luz with several quick slices, defeating Luz.

"YE-" Asta started but was teleported away as the ten seconds expired.

"-S!" Asta finished before looking around and realized that his sword was inches away from a horrified Lotte's face as she was this close to having her face sliced off.

"Huh? Oh man! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" Asta apologized to Lotte before looking at everyone else. "Huh. I guess that's it. Those ten seconds were quick."

"Any closer and that could have ended pretty bad. Anyways, I didn't expect to just be teleported out that suddenly. But still, ten minutes, ten seconds, it doesn't matter. Hailey called on me to help, so I'll do everything I can to do just that. We're playing so well. Let's not stop now and win another! And another! And another!"

"The heck just happened?" Bren asked.

"It's like she froze up. Guess she didn't expect that coming and just couldn't react in time." Falcon said.

"Idiots. That's not what happened." Hanamiya thought.

Not even seconds later, Luz reappeared on the battlefield.

"Hey Rei." Kagami said, tapping on her as the battle continued.

"Kagami? What is it?" Rei asked.

"Why is my heart beating so fast? What's wrong with me?" Rei thought.

"I uh... wanted to say sorry for yelling at you. I know it's kind of a random place to do it when a match is goin' on but, I kinda thought, better late than never huh?" Kagami said.

"Actually, I want to say I'm sorry too. If you didn't feel comfortable sharing whatever happened, I should have respected that privacy. Forcing you is wrong."

Kagami offered a fist bump to cement burying the hatchet. Something that Rei took wholeheartedly as the two smiled.

"How many times are you two going to bury the hatchet? Stop taking it out if you're just gonna keep doing th

is." Miyuki remarked.

"I don't have a dog in the fight when it comes to most of this, but it's clear as day that they're into each other. They just don't know the other is. But the first thing they gotta do is grow past the anger problems they got. Rei's smart and has her head on straight when it comes to self-control. A lot more than Kagami does. But she can be just as untactful as Kagami at times. And sometimes, even more hurtful with her words. They don't fix that, there's gonna be a lot of misunderstandings between 'em. As much as Miyuki was trying to be funny, he's right too. There's only so many times you can just bury the hatchet before it gets old. Don't get me wrong, they're good people. But they've still got room to be better. But they're gettin' there. Several people, put in their position, wouldn't be big enough people to admit they're wrong. Next step is preventin' those mistakes."

"Did you hear that? That is the satisfying sound of destruction and annihilation!" Shaxx said, laughing as more than half of the Kings were annihilated by the fire.

"No, that's the sound of murder." Emma commented.

"Look, it's not like they don't come back." Chris said.

"This still counts as killing!" Riley said.

"If it wasn't for those suits, you'd definitely be in jail." Isagi said frankly.

"Yeah well, what you didn't know is, I've actually already been arrested before. Putting toxic waste on an island. Apparently, you're not supposed to do that." Chris said.

"What do you mean 'apparently'? That's illegal!" Courtney said.

"But it's my property. Shouldn't I be allowed to do whatever I want with it?" Chris reasoned.

"Doesn't matter. It's still illegal."

"Just like I'm pretty sure it's illegal for Hiruma to have all of those guns as a teenager. And a tank. And to be carrying them around in a public school. But look where we are." Rally said. "At this point, legality gets thrown out the window. At least until Chris goes too far and actually gets someone killed for real."

"Wait a second. Is that-" Adrien started before Reagan's robot was destroyed by a purple rocket from a far, coming at an incredible speed.

"SHA-BAM!" Doyle said, floating in the air. The rocket launcher in question that he was wielding was the Truth exotic launcher.

"Truth. Good luck trying to avoid it. Its tracking is all but unavoidable." Blake said.

After Reagan's multikill, her team's score increases to 46.

Heloise and Chef were also accompanying him, wielding weapons as well.

"Come on, you have them join the game now?" Kaz asked.

"I did say they could intervene in this challenges. Well, moreso Doyle, but still." Chris said.

There was a little over four minutes left.

"So some new competitors entered. Who cares? I don't! KILL THEM TOO!"

Right after he said this, bullets were being sent at the three via Dan who was on a turret from a distance.

Seeing a grenade being launched out of a grenade launcher coming at him like a micro-missile, Dan quickly got out of the turret but was promptly hit in the face by a rocket sent by Chef.

"THIS IS CHEATIIIIIING!" Dan yelled as he was sent flying.

The three's appearance, more than anything else, forced the teams to have to communicate from a distance as they were all scattered throughout the arena.

"So if one of them were to get those three, will they get immunity?" Heather asked.

"Nope. They're they're to run interference as a third party. Taking them out will only grant bonus points." Chris answered.

"Is that... a giant bear?" Toxsa said in a deadpan tone, not expecting to see that out of all things in the middle of his battle with Paul out in the open area. But that distraction was what Paul needed for Magmortar and Electivire to attack, sending Toxsa flying.

"Tenkai energy levels low. Recommend-"

"Forget the recommendations! Enter Titan Mode!" Toxsa said, behind a rock.

"Valorn, while this is available, energy levels are still low. I strongly-"

"I SAID ACTIVATE IT!"

"Very well then."

"Finish it!" Paul said. Magmortar and Electivire both converged only for Toxsa to overpower both with pure strength via Titan Mode.

He then slams into the ground so hard, causing it to shake and some of the crust to be launched into the air, sending both Pokemon into the air.

When Toxsa looked as if he was about to run at them for a punch, Paul commanded Electivire to use Protect and for Magmortar to use Smog.

Toxsa stopped and blocked the Smog attack with his shield before he unleashed the laser blast he was charging at the two.

"Counter it with Flamethrower and Thunder!"

The electricity and flames combined into one and collided with the green energy.

"FULL POWER!" Toxsa shouted, overpowering both of the Pokemon and sending both of them flying, allowing him to score more points for his team, but also leaving him drained, causing him to completely lose his Valorn transformation as his regular self was seen.

"Uh oh. Not good." Toxsa said.

This was when Paul decided to use his own Ultimate and bring out Ursaring.

"Ursaring! Stand by for battle!"

"Crap! Crap! Crap!" Toxsa said, running, desperately trying to find a vehicle, a relic, anything he could use to get him out of his situation.

"Guys! I need some help here!" Toxsa called out on the comms.

"Here's a little tip: HELP YOURSELF!" Dan shouted in his ear, battling Yang as he had a relic in hand, his relic being a Valkyrie Javelin made of solar energy. Though Yang herself wasn't making things easy as she also had a relic, hers being the Synaptic Spear which was Arc energy. She was warping to different spots of the arena thanks to the power of the spear, making it hard for Dan to hit her.

"Here's a little tip: STOP YELLING IN MY EAR!" Toxsa shouted back. This, funny enough, caused him to lose his concentration and allowed Yang to hit him, sending him flying and defeating him with one hit.

"Seriously Toxsa, we'd help, but we're busy ourselves." Reagan said, trying to deal with both Doyle and Razer.

"Come on you stupid core brick, charge!" Toxsa said, taking it out as Ursaring was on the chase after him.

"He's burnt himself out. And he's got no weapons. He's not going to last much longer." Eliza said.

"Why doesn't he just give up the points? It'll make things a whole lot easier for him to get his powers back, right?" Monta asked.

"Because those points can make a difference. If he can last long enough to try to find a way out of this, this could be worth it." Maki said. "Not saying I want him to. Just an observation."

Toxsa runs into one of the colony buildings. Though Paul thought ahead and cut off the exit.

"Just wait inside." Toxsa thought. "I'm sure I'll get it back eventually."

"Ursaring, flush him out!" Paul commanded.

Using Focus Blast, it forms a light blue ball of energy and throws it, repeating this process, trying to find Toxsa as it was inside, who was desperately trying to hide as said Pokemon was looking for him.

Meanwhile, Hailey and Luz were fighting outside of the laboratory after a "Yoked" Beta tossed away Chef.

Hailey was using her staff while Luz was using her Palisman as the two were locked into a melee battle.

"I know we haven't gotten to talk much, but you've won a season like this before. How's it like?" Hailey asked.

"It's pretty fun. Though eventually I'd say things started to get a bit serious at I'd say, maybe somewhere around the halfway mark?" Luz said as the two continued to fight before Luz secretly had a glyph in hand and turned invisible.

"What the- we're in the middle of a conversation and you just disappear on me?" Hailey said.

Luz suddenly reappeared and tripped her up.

"And a fight. Remember?" Luz said.

"Well duh." Hailey said before tripping her up with a sweep while on the ground.

"But still. That was a little rude. Kidding! Kidding."

Luz suddenly put a paper on Hailey's staff.

"What are you-" Hailey started before an explosion was seen, sending Hailey sky high.

"And you said that isn't what friends do. Now look what you're doing to each other!"

"Still not what friends normally do." Luz said.

"Then, I suppose you should get some more friends that do do this!"

"Maybe if I'm Hiruma, Nimona or Rocky."

"Someone call my name!?" Nimona said, running towards her, scythe in hand, coming out of the laboratory that Hailey and Luz were fighting next to.

"Where the heck did you get a scythe!?" Luz asked.

"Better question. Why aren't you running?"

"You know what? Fair point." Luz said before promptly trying to run, putting up ice glyphs to try and shield herself.

"YES! TAKE THESE WEAPONS OF WAR, USE THEM AND CRUSH YOUR ENEMIES!"

"You guys get to use all of this cool stuff and we didn't? Lucky you." Ruby R. commented as Nimona relentlessly sliced through the ice glyphs with zeal.

"I'm just jealous I don't get to be in this challenge." Rocky said.

"Who said you weren't going to be? We haven't gone yet, f[censored]ing Dynacat." Hiruma said.

"Other than before the challenge, I think this is one of the few, if not the first time he's talked today I think." Hinata said.

"Probably because he's focused on the challenge. Say what you will about his personality, but he knows when it's time to lock in." Miyuki said.

"Just like someone else I know. And I mean that in more ways than one." Kageyama said, smirking at Miyuki.

"Speaking of which, looks like they're gonna have to do that now. About two and a half minutes left!" Chris announced.

Within the chaos, the Breakers were still trailing, but they were managing to keep things close, even after Toxsa was finally found and defeated by Paul's Metagross.

Reagan and Doyle were locked in yet another battle.

"How do you have a grenade launcher that fires like a missile? That's straight cheating!" Reagan said.

"This is an actual weapon. How is it cheating?"

"Because grenade launchers don't fire like missiles that how!" Reagan said, shooting her trace rifle laser at him as he tried to dodge, shooting his submachine gun back.

"To be fair, Mountaintop is a real weapon. A reward from the Crucible! Although, we have had our fair share of complaints about it."

"Ha! See?"

"All I see is a woman that's about to get owned. Again."

"And all I see is a bounty hunter that's about to eat lead!" Reagan said, shooting at him with her auto rifle.

"And I also see a giant bear."

Reagan gasped. "Bear-O?"

"Ha! Got- wait, what?" Doyle said, about to hit her in the face with a wrist rocket, but was caught off guard by her actually answering.

"Wait, you were trying to trick me!? Oh you son of a-" Reagan didn't even finish her sentence and pressed a button on a remote she brought out. A yellow robot fell from the sky and flattened Doyle.

Though she was flattened as well by Heloise's own giant robot that fell from the sky.

"And that was exactly why I backed him up." Heloise said.

"Ouch. It's a good thing they won't actually die here." Chris said.

"Yeah. Otherwise, this is definitely jail time." Huey D. said.

"Jail time? This is life in prison. If not worse." Becky F. said.

With Heloise flattening Reagan and Reagan flattening Doyle, Yang, spinning around with a Burning Maul in hand, smashed Nimona and dug her a fiery grave the same way she dug Luz's. The Zaks were battling each other with Scorch Cannons and Dan was fighting a losing battle against Marinette.

A little over 90 seconds remained in the game.

"Imagine entering a contest just because you hate someone. Couldn't be me." Zak S. said to his anti-matter counterpart as they continued to shoot at each other, with the Monday counterpart using a large rock formation as cover.

"Imagine actually concerning yourself about someone that clearly doesn't want to be your friend." Zak M. said.

"Yeah, you've made that loud and clear." Zak S. said as both of them tried to reach for the other's scorch cannon to pull them away from the other with their Claw and Fang respectively.

"Stop stalling you idiots! We need these kills!" Haizaki called out.

"I agree, but they can't hear you." Ryoma said.

"Well they need to hear somethin'! This dumba[censored] is talking instead of fighting!"

"I'm saying that because of how insane the lengths you're willing to go for this. You steal a stabilizer from my parents just so you could stay here around me without messing up everything. You enter this show and you try to sabotage me every time I'm in a challenge. Among other things. And what have I done? Sent you back home where you belong and try to save you from being tricked and killed by Argost." Zak S. said.

"And you want me to thank you for that? Or for me coming back to life? Not happening." Zak M. said.

After successfully pulling away the cannons from one another, they continued to attack each other, but matched each other blow for blow.

"We know each other's moves. Nothing's going to change." Zak S. said.

"That's what you think." Zak M. said, grinning before both used their Ultimates. But their decisions were completely different. While Saturday chose Fiskerton, Monday chose the Battle ,freezing both of the Saturdays. He then shattered both of them.

"What was that about nothing's going to change? Speak up, I can't hear you over the sound of me laughing at your shattered remains." Zak M. said, laughing before being grabbed by Marinette and tossed away. The Monday saved himself by grappling onto one of the colony homes to land safely on the ground.

Though it was Yang, Relic in hand, this time an Iron Lord ax that finished the job, slamming onto the ground. Zak jumped into the air but was sniped by Razer from a distance.

"Fire and Ice. Guess you could say you two are solar opposites." Yang said.

"Well, at least it's not a cat joke." Ladybug said.

"30 seconds! This is going to be close! Finish it!"

After collecting heavy ammo, Reagan was up against Razer in a battle of rifles. It was a battle of attrition, but one Razer was about to win if she didn't get help, which she did. In the form of Dan on a Pike, shooting at him before trying the insane idea of actually boosting forward to run him over. Though he jumped over it.

"Ooh, bad idea." Yang said, from a distance in the air grinning before activating her Burning Maul super. She slammed the ground and destroyed the Pike, sending Dan flying as well.

"Curse you and your stupid light powers!" Dan shouted.

Reagan got close enough in range with the Tractor Cannon shotgun she had, which was a large white weapon and hit Yang with it. It wasn't enough to kill, but the suppression instantly took her abilities away.

"Uh oh." Yang said before she was promptly hit by another shot, sending her into a wall and instantly taking her out from the impact. Razer shot at her, using the Hard Light's projectiles to flush her out as she was trying to hide. Before he could continue to shoot even more, Chef shot at him with a sniper, taking him out in one hit.

Toxsa, wanting to get revenge against Paul, immediately went after him, back in Titan Mode. About 15 seconds remained. The Kings still held a slight lead by a margin of 3 points.

"TAKE THIS!" Toxsa called out, charging out a full power blast.

"Triple Hyper Beam! Let's Go!" Paul called out. Gyarados, Ursaring and Torterra fired beams of energy from their mouths at Toxsa.

"You know. This is usually the time where we get the cool beam struggle sequence quick time event. Not today!" Toxsa said before suddenly putting up his shield, electing to block the beams instead of counter.

" Just a little longer..." Toxsa thought.

"Tenkai energy levels decreasing. Tenkai Titan Mode deactivation imminent." The onboard Tenkai Knight AI said.

"Don't deactivate! Stay activated!"

With 5 seconds remaining, Luz was against Hailey again.

"Yoked or not, you're going down!" Luz, in her Titan form said, restraining him with plant magic.

"You think these vines can hold me? GET YOKED SUCKA!"

Instead of grabbing her like Luz expected. Instead, he uses his hand to swat her away into orbit.

"Time up!"

"Beta!" Hailey scolded.

"What? They're comin' back. Besides, they made fun of my muscles!" Beta said.

"Your muscles allowed your team to claim victory. Even if it was just barely though. Good work."

"We won? We won!" Hailey said, raising her staff in triumph.

"Hooray. Great." Toxsa said, on the ground in pain after being overwhelmed by the Triple Hyper Beam, only holding on to the very last second.

"Let's go!" Nimona said, riding around in a Pike in circles to perform a donut as if she was on a bike.

"Kings! On one hand, you lost. But, on the other, I got to see you wipe six other powerful players off the face of the Moon!" Shaxx said before calming down. "But, here's a suggestion. When you see Heavy ammo, GET IT! USE IT! DON'T JUST LET THE ENEMY TEAM TAKE IT! WHY EVEN GET A HEAVY WEAPON IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO USE IT!? ARE YOU GOING TO JUST LET YOURSELVES GET BURNED ALIVE, OR ARE YOU GOING TO BURN THEM ALIVE!? i know what I'd answer!"

"Which only makes you even more crazy." Rei commented before turning to Ruby, Weiss and Blake. "How exactly did you four deal with this?"

"He's like this all the time. Everyone freaks out over Hiruma. You haven't seen him commentate Crucible matches." Blake said.

"We just did. And it's pretty awesome!" Nimona said as she and the rest of her team returned.

"Wait a second, I thought it was winner stays on?" Akko asked.

"It is. But the next set of contestants get randomized. Rats, you're up next against the Breakers. Let's go!"Chris said.

"What about Doyle, Chef and Heloise?" Adrien asked.

"They're staying in. They're going to be a part of the rest of the games of this challenge from this point forward." Chris said. "Now then, let's see who's lucky enough to participate in this challenge next."

The names were randomized.

"You looked pretty sluggish at one point. When from what I've seen in that form, it's the exact opposite. What happened?" Rally asked Luz.

"I don't know. The moment I touched that sword, it's like I was being drained." Luz said.

"Maybe it has energy-draining properties?" Isagi proposed.

"Ac-" Asta started before Noelle covered his mouth.

"Keep quiet." Noelle said.

"What for? What's going on?" Kaz asked.

"Yeah, I don't understand. I was only going to-" Asta started before she decided to just send him flying with Water Magic.

"What the heck was that for?" Hinata asked.

"He was going to reveal what was happening. It's clear they don't know what's going on. We should keep it that way." Miyuki said.

"Noelle's got the right idea. The less your opponent knows about you, the better." Hanamiya said.

Though the commotion still got the attention of some of the other team members regardless.

"Alright, looks like we're good to go." Mr. Wolf said, as they had finished picking out their weapons in the Tower.

"Excellent! Arcite! What's the next arena?" Shaxx asked.

"Arena selected. First Light. Mare Cognitum, Moon." Arcite 99-40 said.

"What!? Again?"

"Yes. I assume you want a new arena?"

"Yes! Of course I do! Again!"

Arcite re-randomized the next arena.

"Arena chosen. Shores of Time. Maat Mons, Venus."

"Alright then. Good luck. And happy fighting!" Shaxx said as the 12 entered the portal.

Arena: Shores of Time

Maat Mons, Venus

A preview of the arena was shown. Misty rainfall was present. It was rocky with flat platforms, cliffs and caves. The architecture for the most part, was cubic, a signature of the robotic Vex forces occupying and transforming the planet. Even with this, there were still plants and other signs of the natural Venus landscape present.

Both teams appeared outside, on opposite sides of the arena.

"Mayhem Clash!"

Mayhem: No limits. Use everything in your disposal to destroy your enemy.

"If you lose here. You. Didn't. Throw. Enough grenades! YOU SHOULD BE THROWING GRENADES AS I SAY THIS!"

"So like, what if you don't have grenades?" Zee asked as he and the rest of his team were on the move.

"Then throw something else! Except your weapons. Unless, you want to that is."

On cue, Rocky was throwing dynamite every which way.

"I don't think he meant now." Cat Noir said.

"Yes I did! Dynamite counts too! It's not like you can hurt each other. So throw them out!"

"Wait a sec, is Ryota-" Haizaki started, noticing his eyes, which had yellow electricity coming out of them.

"Wait, I'm in the Zone?" Kise said in disbelief and surprise. His suit, oddly enough was blue, had a yellow see-through visor on the blue helmet and also had the number 7 on the front and back, the same number that he currently plays with in high school.

"I'm guessing whatever the suits did automatically activated it for you. The same way I'm already transformed." Cat Noir said.

"I won't complain. Let's go!" Kise said, taking full advantage of the speed boost benefit. He was nowhere close to Aomine's full speed, especially while Aomine himself was in the Zone, but he was noticeably a lot faster.

Meanwhile, the Breakers were able to figure out exactly where the Rats were located thanks to the constant explosions heard thanks to Rocky.

"I'm sure we know who the source of those explosions are." Hinata said.

"Which only made them easier to find." Noelle said.

The two groups met in one of the caverns. But even with this, the dynamite still caught Johnny off guard and he was the first one to go down.

"Idiot." Noelle said.

"To be fair, it's easier said than done trying to get around that." Hinata said.

"Doesn't mean we can't. Just keep your distance and we'll be fine."

"FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!"

The remaining five backed away from the entrance of the cave where the explosions kept coming. What they didn't expect was for Natsu, being carried by Happy to come through the cave anyway, with full intent of taking out the remaining five. They shot at him. And while he did take damage, it wasn't enough to take him out. Nimona tried to attack back but couldn't react fast enough. She was sent into one of the large rock formations behind them, hard enough to take her out.

Noelle, using her Water Magic, sent a Sea Dragon's Water Ball his way. But it wasn't strong enough to affect him. For that matter, he actually swatted it away, sending it Hinata's way and knocking him back. But it wasn't enough to take him out of the game.

Noelle was taken aback by how he was able to send away the ball that she couldn't react fast enough against the punch coming her way, which sent her flying into one of walls of a cave.

The others continued to shoot at him but was stopped in their tracks by Adrien.

"Cataclysm!" Because of where he used it, all of Julie's, Launch's and Hinata's weapons were useless.

"Everyone agree to a ceasefire?"Adrien, who was back to normal quipped.

"Let me think about it… Nope!" Rocky said before shooting at his enemies with solar Tommy gun in his hand.

Dawn called upon a bear to lend her a hand.

"I know when I am needed. Let me help." Hammer Gorem said from Julie's pocket.

"Great idea!" Julie said before pulling out said Bakugan. "Bakugan-

"Julie! Here!" Hinata called out, eyes closed, jumping high in the air just as Natsu was about to hit him. Julie and Hinata were on the same page as she already knew what he was about to do.

"Why the heck are his eyes closed?" Toxsa commented.

"Just watch. You'll see." Kageyama said.

"Set!" Julie called out.

Julie threw her Bakugan Hinata's way, who spiked it back down to the ground, causing an explosion that sent Rocky, Dawn and Adrien flying. Though Hinata would be sent flying right afterwards by the Fire Mage.

"I could feel that punch in my bones!"

Julie loaded an ability card into the gauntlet that she had built into the armor she was wearing.

"Ability card set." The gauntlet AI said.

"Grand Hammer!"

Gorem was revealed.

"And spike!" Gorem finished, being unleashed and sending Natsu and the rest of his team a devastating message by sending Natsu soaring. Hammer Gorem, which was the evolved form of Gorem, was a large Bakugan that had different shades of brown on its armor, a signature sign of Subterra Bakugan. He had a two headed hammer on his back and had bull-like horns and upward curved shoulders. The bear roared and looked up before seeing the bakugan that towered over everyone and whimpered away.

"You show 'em! Eat your heart out Taurus!" Julie said.

"Why the shot at my celestial spirits?" Lucy commented.

"Kid's got one hell of a jump." Kagami commented, impressed at how high Hinata was able to jump despite his height, being a high jumper himself.

"One that you guys are going to be dealing with for a while." Kageyama said confidently.

He then slammed the ground, taking out Adrien and Rocky as well.

"I heard some of the comments some of you made about Julie's team. Don't think for a second you can just push us around anymore!" Gorem declared.

"Oh I never underestimated you for a second." Kise said, revealing himself as he was behind a rock. His eyes, still having electricity coming out of them, indicating that he still was in the Zone, also glowed yellow, indicating that he was also in his Perfect Copy state as well. "That's why….. I'm gonna give it everything I've got." Kise puts his fists together the same way Natsu did in the cave. "To make sure my team wins this game!"

Fire began to surround Kise.

"FIRE DRAGON….. IRON FIST!"

"I'm really sorry to do this to a handsome guy like you but, I'm sure you'll understand. You look like you're giving it you're all too." Julie said before loading another ability card. "Ability activate! Taros Hammer!"

"While I appreciate the respect, it's time I brought hammer down!" Gorem said before slamming his hammer on the ground, with full intent of crushing Kise with it. But, with him copying Aomine's speed, he was able to dodge the attack before jumping on his arm. Gorem immediately threw his arm to the right to send Kise off, but he instinctively jumped off, copying Hinata's jumping ability for extra height and then following it up by summoning Cat Noir's staff out of nowhere thanks to his enhanced copying, hitting Gorem in the face.

Kise finished it up by punching Gorem with a flame infused fist. "HAAAAAA!" He sent Gorem staggering into the wall.

"Oh no! Gorem!"

Because of the fact that Gorem's summoning kicked up dust and rocks across the ground, this caused Launch to sneeze.

"Oh no you don't punk!" Bad Launch said, now having access to her weapons again. She pulled out a capsule and used it to bring out a bazooka.

"I don't think so!" Kise said as his hand now had black energy coming from it. "Cataclysm!"

All of their weapons and Julie's gauntlet was rendered useless once again before he returned to the ground as Gorem was forced to return due to the expiring time limit. Kise had full intent of taking out Launch and Julie, but he suddenly felt sluggish. His eyes also no longer had electricity coming out of them. So instead, he shot at them with the weapons he had.

"What….. did I just witness? I'll tell you what. Poetry! How? There is poetry in havoc! And that is what Gorem and Kise just wreaked! Now do it again!"

"Wow." Chris said, smiling.

***Confessional***

Chris:

"I am absolutely loving the fact that they're taking this personal. Even without the Team Victory comments, they've been overall the worst team this season. And what have they done in the face of that? Win two in a row and put themselves in position to win another one with this game. But that was before Kise did that. Don't know if he heard the Paul comments, but if he did, he's definitely taking that personal too. Oh yeah, I've been keeping an eye on what's going on with the Total Drama News Segments too. Gives me ideas for potential challenges. So don't be surprised if you hear someone casually spill some dirt or opinions with someone and then I pair them up in a challenge intentionally." He said before laughing. "Man I am so cruel."

***End Confessional***

Kise was seen standing by himself, breathing hard, exhausted.

"You b[censored]d." Haizaki commented which caused Aomine and the others to look at him.

"Is he… smiling?" Ruby G. said in disbelief as he had a wide grin on his face.

"That's the look of a guy that's found an opponent that he wants to go up against. Never thought I'd see the day, especially since it's Kise that this is directed towards but….. Haizaki's fired up." Aomine said.

"Wanting to go up against a strong opponent. I definitely understand." Asta said.

"I know there's a lot of negative things I've heard about him since my time here but… that look. That doesn't look like the face of someone that wants to beat them just to crush them or destroy them. No. This is different. Because I've had that same feeling myself at times." Asta thought. "That's a look of excitement."

"Yo Kise man! Look what I found!" Zee said, running back to him as he had heavy ammo loaded.

"That's great. Really." Kise said, breathing hard, still exhausted but forcing out a smile to show that he really was happy for him.

"Woah. You look tired man. I got just the thing to pick you up dude." Zee said, handing him a soda.

"Thanks." Kise said, accepting the soda wholeheartedly before realizing that he can't because of the helmet.

"Ohhh right, right. Helmets. You know, sometimes I forget we're wearing these. Guess they're just that comfortable. Wonder what the rest of the team's up to." Zee said.

"You know, that's a good question Zee. Let's see." Chris said before looking at the other monitors.

"Somebody stop this crazy thing!" Johnny said, losing control of the Sweet Business as it was spun up, firing everywhere, on one of the flat, cubic-like platforms next to an inactive Vex portal.

Dawn's bear had tried to attack him but couldn't because of the constant bullet-spraying that Johnny was unintentionally doing.

It was Doyle that shot the gun away with his wrist cannons.

"Thanks. I-" Johnny said before being pounced on by the bear from earlier.

"Now wait a minute now. Last time I checked, bears breathe air! So how come you're still breathin'?" Johnny reasoned, trying to avoid being devoured.

The bear actually stood up and thought about that for a second before being knocked away by Doyle with a grenade.

"You're welcome." Doyle said.

"For what?" Johnny asked, eyebrow raised.

"Uh, for saving you from the bear? And getting that Sweet Business out of your hands?"

"Oh. That was you? I thought that was the bear." He said, pointing to where the bear originally was.

Doyle waved his hands in surrender. "You know what? I don't have time for this." Doyle said before pulling out, aiming and charging the black fusion rifle he had with orange wires on it at Johnny to take him out.

Though that was before Johnny suddenly kicked him away, hard.

"Now I see what you were tryin' to do! You were taking out the bear so you could have me all to yourself! Not happenin' buddy!" Johnny said before doing the 'come at me' gesture, suddenly in a Karate Gi after activating his Johnny-Fu ultimate.

Though he was promptly hit in the face by Cat Noir, sending him into orbit.

"A picture purr-fect home run!" Cat Noir said, looking out in the distance.

Seconds later, Johnny reappeared, now back on the ground behind a rock formation in the distance from the platform that Natsu was still on.

"Whew. Amen for technology am I right?" Johnny said to the audience.

"Man, he really is an alternate universe Chooki." Toxsa commented, referring to Adrien.

"Who's Chooki?" Marinette asked.

"You guys wouldn't know him. He's a friend back on my Earth. A Tenkai Knight like me. Sounds just like him funny enough. That's why I said that. Really good at sports and stuff. He always makes these sports analogies that I almost always don't get. Just replace the sports analogies with cat jokes and you get…. Almost Chooki. Is Adrien smart?"

"Yeah. He makes good grades. Why?"

"Yep, it's definitely him alright. Heck, as a matter of fact, Natsu I'd say is an alternate universe Ceylan." Toxsa continued as Natsu was seen on the screen battling Noelle. "Except Ceylan makes more jokes. And doesn't eat as much. Guren? Hmm… guess there's Zero. He even uses a sword like him too so there's that."

"And what about you and Aomine?"

"What about him- ohhhhhh. You know, we kinda do sound alike. But that's only when he's yelling. And then there's this mysterious guy at our school called Gen that sounds like Ben, Albedo and Sena."

"Wow. Max similarities." Monta commented. "Never noticed any of that. I wonder if there's anyone else here."

"Well, there is one more." Rei said, keeping focus on the match.

"Who?"

"Zero and Artemis. Minako's cat."

Toxsa laughed out loud. "Oh wow. Guren's gonna love this. He's a cat!" He then pictured Guren as his pet cat Max.

"Alright it's not that funny now be quiet! People are trying to watch the match!" Kageyama shouted.

"Well it doesn't help that you're yelling now does it?" Rei said.

"I'm not-" Kageyama started before, for once calming down and taking a deep breath.

"Wow. He didn't explode this time." Tsukishima said.

"Maybe you could learn a thing from him Akko." Sucy said.

"Yeah. You too Kagami." Rei added.

"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!?" Kageyama, Akko and Kagami both yelled out.

"See what I mean?" Sucy said.

Focusing things back on the match, the Rats had a slight lead on the Breakers. About 4 and a half minutes remained.

Heloise and Chef were up against Launch and Julie, with the latter having her energy blade from her gauntlet out. They were battling outside behind a large rock formation that was actually blocking them from being in sight of Cat Noir on the flat platform that he was on earlier.

"Fire in the hole!" Launch said, throwing a grenade she had in Heloise's direction, who was hiding behind one of the cube-shaped blocks/rock formations.

Using the see-through vision that she had on her suit, she saw an explosive that Launch was unknowingly next to. After rolling out, Launch was already waiting for her and sprayed bullets in Heloise's direction. Though the results weren't what either expected. All four were sent flying by…. Soda grenades?"

"Soda grenades. Cool." Zee said, with Kise, who had recovered after being discovered and defeated by Nimona, who was lurking around as an ant before finding the two by themselves. Well, technically defeated anyway. Zee had accidentally took himself out with the rocket launcher he had but took out Nimona in the process as well after deciding to shoot at the ground.

"Four down! Fantastic work! So you do have grenades! I want more! USE THEM! USE THEM ALL!"

"Whatever you say." Zee said before chucking all of the sodas that he could into the air.

Rocky was crazily firing his Tommy's Matchbook at, which was burning himself at the same time at Nimona.

She tried firing back, but was burned as she was hit, forcing her to hide.

"A weapon that burns you and the opponent huh? Oh yeah! That was the gun Yang was using! What's it called?" She called out.

"Uh, Tommy's Matchbook. I think. Why?"

"You'll see." Nimona said, an evil grin on her face.

Suddenly, she exchanged her Dragon's breath for a Tommy's Matchbook by selecting it and a black one fell into her hands, ready for her to use.

Peeking out, she immediately started to fire, burning herself in the process as she did so.

"A firefight and I'm not invited? I thought you guys were nice." Natsu said, dropping in with Happy.

"Don't worry, I got just the thing for this party." He said before creating a ball of fire.

"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!"

Nimona grew wings and flew into the air, dodging the attack that had a massive explosion radius before flying forward changing into a dragon and then breathing fire directly on him.

"How's that for dragon power?" Nimona said, believing that she burned Natsu to dust only to see that he was still standing when the smoke cleared.

"I gotta admit. With your powers, Julie's Bakugan. And Kise's copying." Natsu started, as his clothes(with the exception of his pants thankfully)were burned away.

"This is easily my favorite challenge." Natsu said, grinning.

"Dude, I literally just breathed a heap ton of fire on you!" Nimona said.

"I know. But I guess you didn't know….I eat flames for breakfast! Yours included! Now it's about time I return the favor." Natsu said, now in his Dragon Force.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

Natsu puts his hands in front of him and prepares to blow fire from his mouth.

Nimona, instead of dodging, decided to counter with her own dragon's breath with the two fires colliding.

After a few seconds passed, Natsu's flames overwhelmed Nimona's. When the dust cleared, Nimona found herself in another spot on the arena, looking at the same rock formation that was where the first battle commenced.

She looks around, surprised.

"If I'm here, then this means….." She trailed off before finishing. "Man!"

Hinata, meanwhile, was trying to snipe Kise, Adrien and Doyle from a distance as Doyle was trying to shoot at them with his wrist rockets. But that was easier said than done with the enhanced speed Kise got from the Zone. And Adrien's speed as Cat Noir. For both Hinata and Doyle. Noelle was also there, taking the brunt of the attention away from Hinata as she was attacking the other three as well. She did this to allow Hinata the concentration he needed to make good and accurate shots that wouldn't be rushed. All of them, with the exception of Hinata were inside a small cave-like area.

"I still gotta know. You guys are teenagers right? So like, what happened for you to get these abilities? Family? Some weird event?" Doyle said to Kise, throwing grenades at him while airborne with his jetpack, barely dodging the attempted fire punch as Kise was copying Natsu again.

"It was never anything like that. I guess you could say it was the potential more than anything else. But that's for the others. Not sure when their skills actually awakened." Kise said as he spun the staff that he summoned the same way Adrien did as they were side by side, mirroring each other's movements to attack Doyle and Noelle.

"But for me, copying has kind of been there for a while."

"You're worried about the copycat. I think you're worried about the wrong cat don't you think?" Cat Noir said, attempting to attack Doyle as Kise went for Noelle, copying Hinata's jumping power before copying Cat Noir again.

"Got you! Water Creation Magic! Sea Dragon's Roar!"

A head of a sea dragon with sharp teeth appeared and struck Kise directly, sending him flying back outside, right in the middle of a battle between Dawn, Zee, Launch and Johnny.

He was in the middle of several bullets flying across from him on both sides.

"Great. Not exactly the best place to be." Kise said. He considered using the Cataclysm again but didn't want to be left defenseless again should it miss.

"Kise needs our help!" Dawn said before calling out for several birds to carry him to safety only for him to be blasted out of the sky by Launch.

"Oops." Dawn said.

"Hey Shaxx! You wanted grenades right? Well take 'em!" Bad Launch said before tossing several grenades forward.

This caused Dawn and Zee to panic with Dawn rolling out in the open to get shot by Johnny and Launch.

"Nice shot Johnny!" Launch said.

"Thanks. Now how's about a-" Johnny started before Launch interrupted him.

"How's about you get back to fightin'! Let's go!"

"Not looking good. Uh guys? Little help here?" Zee said on the comms.

"Wait a sec, how come you're talking into my ear?" Natsu asked as he was trying to lift up on Gorem's hammer to avoid being crushed by it, facing off against him again.

"We're linked together with comms, remember? Which apparently you forgot to set yours to Zee's only." Cat Noir said, still battling with Doyle and Noelle.

"Forgot? I don't even know how to do any of that." Natsu said, pushing off on the hammer just enough to give him some breathing room to operate.

"You're not going anywhere! Ability-" Julie started before suddenly laughing. Happy was tickling her nose.

"Stop! I'm *laughing* trying to *laughing* battle here!"

"Good thinking on distracting her Happy!" Natsu said.

"I can't believe their plan was to tickle her." Myron said as Diego was smiling, surprised but amused by the plan.

"They didn't plan this out. Trust me." Lucy said, in just as much disbelief at what they were doing as they were even if she has experience in things like this happening.

"Yeah, this is just getting stupid now." Tsukishima said in a deadpan tone.

"So the fact that Kise can copy magic and Hinata can make balls explode just from spiking them isn't stupid?" Lucy asked.

"At least that was already explained with the suits. Even if it still is dumb. You can't explain the tickling to me."

"Well, it worked right?" Scott said.

"That's not a good thing you idiot!" Fiona said.

"Just like that isn't." Libby said, referring to the fact that Natsu, Julie and Happy were blinded and then disintegrated by lasers. The source being Heloise who suddenly appeared after being invisible.

It looked as if Doyle was about to take out Noelle as well as she was forced on the defensive against the constant fusion rifle blasts that he sent his way until Hinata was able to take out both Doyle with a hit and Cat Noir with the chain reaction explosion from his rocket launcher.

Noelle breathed a sigh of relief.

"Took you long enough. What were you doing?"

"I found heavy ammo so I took it." Hinata said.

"So you left me!?"

"Look, I'm sorry! I couldn't hit them with the sniper!"

"Then why choose a weapon you're incapable of using?"

"Because it looked fun?"

"Fun!? Are you-" Noelle started before dismissing him.

"Okay, maybe sniping isn't as easy as it is in some of the video games I play. But I still got the kills right?"

"This isn't just some silly game."

"But... it is a game?"

"At least Asta knows when to take things seriously. At least tell me when you're going to do that. What happened to being teammates?"

"And what happened to not being a jerk?"

"So because I'm giving you criticism that you don't like I'm being mean to you? How childish."

"You don't look like you're any older than me."

"He got you there." Chef said. The problem was, it sounded as if he was behind them, but no one was there. At least that was what it seemed like. The next thing they knew, both were sent flying via heavy grenade launcher shots as he reappeared in vision.

"Breakers, don't let your enemies take this without a fight!"

"Rats! Keep it up and victory is yours!"

The Rats were approaching the points needed after an impromptu defeat of both Johnny and Launch by way of a soda powered jetpack and grenades from Zee.

"That's easier said than done when you have these three literally cheating!" Reagan said, referring to Chef, Heloise and Doyle. "A full auto fusion rifle? Invisibility? What kind of bulls[censored] is that?"

"Cope harder." Rick said before taking a swig of beer he had.

"Oh yeah, because you'd definitely be saying that if the shoe was on the other foot. Get the hell out of here."

"Believe it or not, those are actually real weapons. Powerful to the point of being unfair, but real." Ruby R. said. "Grenade launcher is Mountaintop. I've never seen that fusion rifle though."

A/N: Pocket Infinity is legit broken in Destiny 1. There's a reason why this weapon was never brought over to the second game or reprised after the base game. As much as I love playing with the weapon even I can admit to how broken it is. Mountaintop is a whole other animal. Even with the nerfs and sunsetting its still a nightmare of non-Trials PVP lol.

"You should be thanking Hinata. If it wasn't for that double kill he got, this would have been over a whole lot sooner. This is definitely a mismatch." Rick said. "And don't give me any bulls[censored] like Natsu and Kise carried. Cat Noir has been sending your a[censored]es sky high. And Zee, with his endless amount of sodas has been doing decent too. "Oh cr-" Nimona started before being hit by a Sea Dragon's Roar from Kise.

About two minutes remained.

Despite Rocky shooting at Johnny, he seemed to have been unaffected in his Johnny-Fu state.

"Gonna need to do better than that." Johnny said.

"How about a little music?" Rocky offered.

"Uh..." Suddenly, Johnny was sent flying back by the vibrations of the music before dynamite was also thrown his way. "Oh come-" Before he could even say anything else,the dynamite exploded.

"At this point Shaxx, just call the match." Johnny said after reappearing.

"What? Are you saying you want to quit!?"

"When that blonde kid started copying that dragon guy's magic, I kinda figured we were screwed. And now, we are." Johnny said.

Speaking of said blonde kid, Kise had actually decided to copy Doyle's Pocket Infinity fusion rifle and started to spray shots at Launch, Hinata and Julie, forcing them to have to duck for cover.

"Yeah, I can see exactly why Reagan would think using that is cheating." Blake said, referring to how long the consecutive blasts were at full-auto, allowing him to just spam the blasts for several seconds non-stop.

"His copying as a whole is a cheat code at this point." Toxsa said.

"Does anyone have any ideas?" Hinata asked.

"I would try to peek out but-" Good Launch started before realizing something. "I have an idea!" She takes out a capsule. A shield was revealed. "Here! Use this!"

Julie decided to take the shield.

"I've got it!"

After taking it, she puts in a guarding position before throwing out Gorem again.

"Grand hammer!"

"Right back at ya!" Kise said before winding up a Bakugan Ball of his own as wind was surrounding him, combining the ball toss with Kuroko's Cyclone Pass. A yellow gauntlet also appeared on his arm.

"Grand ham-" Before he could finish, he was hit by Nimona who was a panda.

"You're welcome!" Nimona called out, returning to normal. But right after that, she was hit by an actual panda, the source being Dawn.

"Kise! Now!" Dawn called out.

"One more time!" Kise said, copying Julie's throwing form about to throw his own Gorem copy out again as the last one dissipated as the throw was incomplete.

"I don't think so!" Gorem said, slamming the ground, after being unleashed, sending all of the Rats in the area flying. "There's only one Gorem, and you're looking at him!"

"Good. 'Cause that makes this a whole lot easier for me!" Natsu said, in the air, being carried by Happy, back in Dragon Force.

"FIRE DRAGON'S BRILLIANT FLAME!" He sent a larger ball of fire towards their direction.

"I know I'm gonna regret this, but-" Johnny said, seeing things from a distance. He kicked himself forward to take the brunt of the damage as it exploded on him.

"Ow." Johnny said, nothing but ash and a pair of eyes.

"Your sacrifice will not be in vain." Gorem said.

"True on that Gorem! We're not giving up for a second! Gorem Punch!" Julie called out.

"Your flames burn bright! But not bright enough!" Gorem said, glowing brown as his power was enhanced by the ability card.

"Says you buddy! FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" Natsu called out, descending after jumping off Happy.

Both of their punches collided with each other's fists with great impact. Even with Natsu's size, his punch, even more so with the power of Dragon Force was more than enough to stand toe to toe with the bakugan.

"Arcite! Are you seeing this!? Turn the timer off! Turn it off now!"

"Are you sure sir?" Arcite 99-40 asked.

"I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE SURE IN MY LIFE! Well, except several other times too. JUST TURN IT OFF!"

"Time disabled."

"This is it! Natsu! Gorem! You're the deciding factor for this match! Win and your team wins!"

"You won't win!" Gorem declared, trying to push back.

"My team's counting on me to take this home. I'm not... GONNA LOSE TO YOU!" The roar of a dragon was heard which only caused Hiruma to turn towards his teammates.

"Well? What are you waiting for!? Let's go!" Hiruma said.

"GO! NATSUUUUUU!" Several of the Rats including Hiruma shouted.

"GO! GOREEEM!" Several of the Breakers shouted.

Natsu was pushing back against the Bakugan, causing him to go on one knee.

"Julie... I'm sorry." Gorem said as he looked back at Julie's face along with the others, including Hinata and Noelle.

"No. What am I saying? I can't give up. We were mocked for our strength before. If we lose, the rest of this team's hard work will go to waste. I won't fail to protect this team!" He thought before he turned back to Natsu.

"Natsu. You're strong. But... now is the time we show our strength!" Gorem said before pushing back against Natsu and his flame infused fist before standing up. "Our team... IS NOT WEAK!"

His punch sends Natsu flying backwards into the sky.

Everyone was in silence at what had just transpired.

Haizaki inhaled before letting out a large yell. "HELL YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The rest of his team looked over in surprise at his yell before Eijun was the first to say something.

"Well? What are you guys still acting so surprised for? We won! Show some emotion and support!" Eijun said before also yelling out in celebration along with most of the rest of the team, with the exception of Hanamiya and Urien with Reagan putting her middle fingers in an annoyed Rick's face.

"I asked you to give everyone a show. AND YOU GAVE US MORE THAN A SHOW! YOU GAVE US A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE! WELL. DONE!"

"Rats! You threw grenades. And you still lost. And you know what? I have nothing bad to say to you. You gave it everything. Now stand up. And get ready to fight again! On to the next game!"

"Alright! As made pretty obvious by the rules of first to 2, the Breakers win two in a row to seal this challenge! Making it 3 wins in a row! What a shocking turnaround! Now, Kurt is right! It's not over. Now it's a case of sudden death between, The Radical Rats and the Storm Kings!" Chris said. "Win and you're safe from elimination! Lose and you're sending someone home! Now, let's get picking!"

The 12 headed to the tower. After choosing their weapons, their arena was chosen.

"Good luck to all of you! Don't hold back!" Shaxx said.

"I wasn't planning too. Especially not against you." Luz said to Akko.

Akko adjusted her witch's hat. "Me neither."

"You better win. And make sure you tell Weiss I said hi." A silver and blue ghost named Kori said, who was Weiss' former ghost, who was also a female ghost like Stinger.

"Same here." Ronin, an all-black ghost said. This ghost, like Crescent, Ruby's Ghost, was a male.

"Ruby, let's show them what the power of light can do!" Crescent, who was a red and black ghost, said energetically.

"Right!" Ruby nodded.

She then proceeds to fire several bullets and missiles at opponents nearby along with raining down three columns of energy at the ground. These attacks cannot be interrupted.

Jotunn Exotic Solar Fusion Rifle(Special Weapon); Charge Shot: Instead of firing bolts when charged, this weapon fires a single tracking shot that explodes and burns on impact. Final blows with this weapon causes targets to explode and burns any other enemies in the area.

Ultimate: Ultimate Armor: X uses his Ultimate Armor and gains all benefits from it

Lucy:

Le Monarque Void Exotic Bow: Arrows fired quickly from this bow become poison arrows, damaging enemy over time for a couple of seconds. Precision hits creates an explosion that poisons nearby enemies as well.

Ultimate: Gates Open!: Lucy is able to summon five Celestial Spirits at once. However, this is only temporary. The spirits immediately return to their keys after 30 seconds and cannot be brought back until a minute passes.

Ultimate: Burning Blaze: Blaze, thanks to the power of the suits in Mayhem, is able to enter this state even without the Sol Emeralds on hand. In this state, the potency of her pyrokinesis increases and is almost invulnerable to all attacks. However, this only lasts for 10 seconds.

Ace of Spades Kinetic Exotic Hand Cannon; Ability: Precision kills causes enemies to explode and increases its reload speed temporarily. Reloading after any kill increases its damage for six shots or if this weapon is stowed.

Super/Ultimate: Golden Gun: Like Yang Ruby has access to her lightbearing abilities along with said supers, though she prefers using Golden Gun the most. This super engulfs her with solar energy, granting her a solar Hand Cannon that incinerates opponents hit with it on impact.

Blade Barrage: An alternate super also used by Ruby but not as often. This super allows her to send several a volley of explosive knives all around her after jumping in the air.

Ultimate: Formless shots: Aomine throws an explosive basketball or ally's projectile that also explodes on impact. The methods of how he can do this, similar to his formless shots in games, are limitless.

Passive: Zone+Animal Instinct(Black Panther): Aomine has unlimited access to the Zone. In this state, outside of faster opponents or those that can react faster than him, his movements are near-unpredictable. His animal instinct also increases his reaction time, relying purely on instinct, his instincts in particular, matching that of a black panther's , also increasing his unpredictability.

Eliza:

Ultimate: Bloody Blockbusters: Unlike most, Eliza has simultaneous access to three supers instead of one. Two are level 1 while her strongest is her level 3.

Ryoma Echizen:

Ultimate: State of Self Actualization(Muga no Kyōchi): In this state, Echizen is able to use many of the techniques he's seen and attempt to apply them to his tennis skills. His hits are also stronger. Echizen can also return any and all projectiles he hits and reflects them back at twice their original speed.

Match 3: Rats VS Kings

Akko, Yulaw, X, Blaze, Lucy and Cicini VS Eliza, Luz, Aomine, Ryome Echizen, Sophie and Ruby Rose

An overview of the arena was shown. The bright orange skies from the planet's close proximity to the sun was seen. Unlike before, only the opposite sides of the arena where the teams would first appear along with a short tunnel like area were blocked off from outside, and subsequently, the sunlight. However, like in Venus, the cubic-like architecture made i clear that the Vex were able to leave their mark on Mercury as well.

"Mayhem Clash!"

The teams appeared on the opposite sides of the arena.

"With or without relics, you were able to put on a show the last fight. But honestly, I highly recommend them! Even though I've never used them myself. And yes! I am jealous you all get too!" Shaxx then clear his throat. "Now then. Carry on. Actually, you know what? Unlock them! Unlock them all! Relics are available to use now!"

Yulaw already had his sniper on hand before his team really started to get moving.

"Come on everyone! Let's go! Metamorphie Fociesse!" Akko said energetically, already excited.

"Well, she's excited." Sucy said.

"Why wouldn't she be? It's the first time she really gets to show off her magic." Lotte said.

"And against Luz no less." Rally said.

"Those two really have hit it off haven't they?" Kagami said.

"Not to mention what's at stake. Whoever loses this challenge, one of these six will be eliminated. I guarantee it." Puss said. "I like the fearless mentality they have taken on. Even Aomine and the rest of his team are willing to give it their best as well." He said, grinning.

"Let's just hope that doesn't turn to recklessness." Kurt started before turning to Priya. "Remember when I was about to talk about Vert? He was the same way in the racing realms. He got cocky. But that's not Akko's problem. She's with other magic users like Lucy and Sophie too. And you saw what Natsu did. And of course, there's all the talk with the Generation of Miracles too with Aomine playing, especially after what Kise, Kuroko and Midorima did."

"I'm guessing it turned to a case of him feeling like he had something to prove eventually." Kise guessed.

"Yeah. After winning the World Race, when he joined the Teku, he wasn't the leader. Nolo was. And he wasn't even in the World Race. I think the fact that nobody was acknowledging that made him feel like he was being disrespected. So he started to go out of his way to show that he deserved to be taken seriously. He got reckless. I'd say it didn't start until the Water Realm. But it was probably earlier than that. And it almost ended with him getting killed in that realm too. But he bounced back from it though. With how this show works though, if Akko's not careful, she might not get that second chance if we lose."

"I understand there is pressure. But even with so much on the line, I was hoping to be able to be in a challenge like this. Maybe Ego was right about me. But there is a difference between ego and self-confidence. Although I envy my teammates for this opportunity, I suppose it is only fair that the others on the team show what they can do as well. I believe this would have marked three challenges I have been in in a row. I will still cheer them on regardless."

The first points for each team were scored with Eliza finding Akko scurrying as a mouse and trying to crush her with her staff. She dodged the attacked and immediately transformed back to tackle Luz, pointing her wand at her.

"Say the word!" Akko called out.

"I... do not yield!" Luz shot back as she slapped a paper on her forehead.

"Hey, that's not-" Akko started before being sent sky high and into a wall.

Ruby immediately turned and took her out with the Ace of Spades, creating an explosion and immediately reloading right after. The white and black gun that had a black spade on it glowed blue and it looked as if there was blue fire coming from out of the bullet chamber, indicating that the Memento Mori was active.

"I could have sworn that went differently when I went up against Vilgax." Ben said.

"Ah yes. When Vilgax invaded Earth correct?" Rook recalled. "I read about it in the Plumber Archives."

"Yep. Difference is, I made sure Vilgax stayed down. That, and the battle wasn't over in like the first 30 seconds like Akko thought it was."

"And we have first blood! Will that translate to a win I wonder? Let's see."

The first points for the Rats was via Aomine thanks to Blaze and Yulaw. Although his speed allowed him to avoid Lucy's arrows and Yulaw's sniper shots, it was Blaze that put a stop to it. It was speed on speed, but Blaze proved that the speed of the Miracles' unstoppable ace was nothing compared to the speed of the Sol Emerald Guardian, kicking him away on the ground with Yulaw reacting fast enough to turn around and hit him three times in the head with the hand cannon he was using with not a single inch of remorse put into any of the shots from him.

"Ouch. Good thing these guys are wearing helmets." Chris said.

"And that they're using the suits. Don't forget about that." Becky F. said.

"I could feel the mercilessness in those shots from here. Good. The Crucible is no place for mercy!"

The second he pulled out his sniper again, he saw bullets coming at him. He also saw an arrow flying as well. He dodged the bullets and stepped in front of the arrow before catching it, and then threw it on the ground before stepping on it.

"I saw that arrow coming you know." Lucy said, knowing that the arrow was from Sophie, with it being directed at her. Yulaw, not even looking at where Sophie was turned to Lucy as he caught an another arrow without even looking.

"You're welcome." Yulaw said before rolling out of the way of a fire glyph. Right as he was about to shoot at Luz, she was already gone.

In one of the narrow corridors, where the walls and roof was made of metal plating with circuits, Cicini had run into Ryoma, which surprised her. She then saw the racket he had along with the tennis ball he had.

"Is that really all you're going to use?" Cicini asked, genuinely surprised.

"Yep." Ryoma said, a confident smile on his face before suddenly dropping the ball and hitting it mid-air, causing her to instinctively duck, only for it to bounce on the ground, spinning before hitting her right in the right cheek, hurting a lot more than she expected it to.

She saw a bruise on her cheek and was surprised.

Ryoma E. pointed his racket at her.

"Come on. I know there's something you can do too. You wouldn't just not get weapons either if you didn't." Ryoma E. said, his smile still not going away.

"This kid. What the hell does he think he's gonna do with just a racket and a tennis ball?" Kunigami commented.

"Guess we'll have to wait and see. He's barely got to show anything that he can do. Yet he still seems pretty confident." Kageyama said.

"I'd be too. Did you see the spin on that hit? I've never seen that before." Hinata said.

Cicini, looked at the walls before pulling out her ray gun. She shot at him with a red ball of energy. But instead of ducking, he went to his left, out of eyesight of Cicini just as the ball hit the block behind him and split into smaller bullets that expanded outward.

What he didn't expect was for a large bull to appear, knocking him out of the way. The bull being Taurus.

"Mooove it kid!" Taurus said before confronting Sophie.

"You wanted me, you got me!"

"I can see that. Excellent." Sophie said. "Double spell! Bubblelift plus Stopglue!" Unleashing blue energy from her hand, this spell trapped Taurus into a blue bubble of magic along with trapping the bubble in a green sticky, glue-like substance.

Taurus tried to break out of the bubble with his axe but was unsuccessful.

"Eliza! Take-" Sophie started before Yulaw suddenly ran at her with the two beginning a hand-to-hand battle.

"Great." Sophie said before Akko, from mid-air, slammed the ground, creating a shockwave with an Earth Magic spell, Earth Buster, knocking Sophie down.

"Alright, where'd she go? She's gonna pay for that!" Akko said.

"Boltflare!" Sophie called out, blasting Akko into one of the blocky walls on the corridor on the opposite side of Sophie and the others.

"Luz should be the least of your worries." Sophie said before Taurus hit her with great force with a shoulder charge. The charge would have taken her out had she not used Bubblelift to create a bubble to stop her from hitting the wall she was headed towards all the way back to where her team first started the match.

"YEAH! YOU'RE NEXT GOREM!" Taurus cried out, pointing upwards.

"Considering what happened to Natsu, he'd best rethink that." Rei said.

"Rei! Come on man, the dude's right there." Kagami said.

"Oh. Sorry..." Rei apologized.

"Hey it's fine. I lost so it's kinda deserved." Natsu said before Hiruma shot at him.

"So!? You'll kick his a[censored] in the next game f[censored]ing dragon boy!" Hiruma said, shooting at him as Natsu comically dodged the shots.

"Buddy if this is your way of trying to cheer me up you got a weird way of doing things I'll tell you that!" Natsu called out, still trying to dodge the shots.

"STOP SHOOTING AT PEOPLE!" Rally and Lanolin yelled.

"You're asking a lot from him." Noah said.

"NO WE'RE NOT!"

Focusing things back on the game, before Sophie could summon a titan, she was taken out by Lucy who had Happy carrying her. She shot her with a perfectly timed draw.

"You know what they say, be careful what you wish for." Lucy said.

Meanwhile, X was battling against Ruby, attempting to hit her with charged shots from the Jotunn and his own buster, all of which was unsuccessful. She performed her petal burst to dodge the attacks before immediately activating her Golden Gun right after reforming herself from the petal burst.

"I don't think so!" X called out before equipping his Ultimate Armor.

Right as she was about to shoot him with a solar shot that would have took him out instantly, he attacked with a Nova Strike, surrounding himself with orange energy and charging right through Ruby, sending her flying and forcing her to have to respawn instantly.

"That was a direct hit! How?" Weiss said in disbelief.

"Even if it was a direct hit. It wasn't going to make much of a difference. That Nova strike is all but invincible when he has that armor. It's gonna take a whole lot more than that to stop it." Zero thought.

Yulaw and Eliza were locked into a hand to hand fight, one that Lucy tried to intervene in but was stopped by Luz, with Akko also butting in as well, creating a three-way magic battle between Lucy(and by extension Taurus), Titan Luz and Blessed Robes Akko.

Yulaw and Eliza matched each other's attacks, Yulaw using his martial arts prowess and Eliza using her staff to effortlessly stop any attacks from getting through to her.

"Please tell me you have more to offer than this." Eliza said, trying to hold back from yawning.

"You have no idea who you're with, do you?" Yulaw said, backing off, trying to refrain from laughing.

"Enlighten me."

Yulaw, with an incredible burst of speed, attacked her again, even faster than before.

However, she was still able to block the attacks. But she wasn't able to land any blows on Yulaw either.

Both had to back off when Cicini, Blaze and Aomine had crashed the party, all three using relics, Blaze using a synaptic spear, Aomine using a Solar Scorch cannon and Cicini using a Valkyrie javelin. Like Kise, Aomine's suit had his number on it, which was 5. Though his suit was black and red.

Both Blaze and Aomine were forced to roll out of the way before Ruby, back with a vengeance, stuck Yulaw with a solar Fusion grenade, the sensation catching him off guard before it exploded, burning him, which allowed her to bounce Yulaw off a wall before stepping on him and then twisting her staff into his back, causing him pain before mercilessly smashing it on him.

"I appreciate the help." Eliza said.

"What are teammates for?" Ruby R. said, giving her a friendly smile.

"Damn. She didn't have to do him like that." Haizaki commented.

"After what he did? It's only fair. This is a game after all." Axl said.

X was up against Ryoma Echizen and Heloise on the opposite of the arena, near the edge of it where the sun could be seen. It was also possible to jump/fall to your death if not careful in this area as well.

X attacked him with the Aiming Laser ability, only for Ryoma to suddenly have white aura around him and reflect the laser back at X, forcing him to have to guard it. Ryoma then jumped high in the air as several people could have sworn that the spirit of a samurai was seen next to him, and sent a tennis ball flying X's way with him cancelling it out with his own buster blasts, sending a Jotunn shot his way as well. Heloise also sent a laser beam his way but Ryoma completely reflected both back, annihilating both.

Akko, who was taken out and forced to respawn, looked on at what just happened in shock.

"Hey, you take the Generation of Miracles seriously." Ryoma reasoned. "Don't forget about me."

"At this point..." Dwayne said, hands up in surrender.

"Yeah, it's not even worth questioning anymore." Reagan said, in agreement, only shaking her head.

"Mada mada dane." Ryoma said to Akko.

"I still have a long way to go? What does that even mean!? Why do you keep saying that for no reason!?" Akko said, annoyed.

"Well, why do you keep saying, 'believing is my magic'?" Ryoma reasoned.

"That's different! At least that makes sense! You know what? Forget it! You may have gotten the others, but you won't get me! Metamorphie Foc-" She was suddenly hit in the face by a tennis ball.

"That hurt!" Akko whined, rubbing her face.

"Maybe not announce what you're doing in front of me then."

"You're just making fun of me! Well let's see how you like this!" Akko used her blessed robes and sent a large magical blast his way. He activated his state again and reflected it right back.

"Come on! How is that fairrrrrrrrr!?" Akko called out, being blasted off into the sky.

"Friendly reminder that he's doing this with a tennis racket. A tennis racket!" Dan said, up in arms. "I'm up in arms and I don't even have stakes in this game!"

"Almost everyone here has powers. Is this really a big deal?" Octavia asked.

"He doesn't even look like he's in high school!"

"He's actually not. He's 12, I think? Something close to that." Chris said, trying to recall the age.

"Makes sense as to why he's almost as short as May." Rally said.

"Like I already said, I was done with it a while ago." Noah said.

"Yeah dude. And you have kids that have cars that have superpowers on your team. I think it's safe to say nothing's off the table. Seriously, I get it, it's kinda stupid when we think about it, but it's getting old. You think that was silly, try seeing Mariah. Her spinning top, what were those things called? Beyblades? Have superpowers. And the Bakugan too." Ben said.

"Powers or not, he was stalling. And unfortunately, Akko fell hook, line and sinker into his trap." Diana said.

"How do you know?" Lotte asked.

"It's that aura. Whatever that is it's gotta be indicatin' that he's in that state." Kagami said.

"Correct." Diana said.

"Which means if he can reflect something that powerful, the key to beating him is..." Rei started.

"By getting physical with him." Rei, Kagami, Falcon and Sendo finished simultaneously, grinning at one another excitedly.

"Gotta admit though, the aura thing wasn't something I picked up on. Nice." Rei said to Kagami.

"Thanks." Kagami said before Shaxx was heard yelling as Ruby has notched off three in a row with a Golden Gun triple kill, causing him and the others to immediately focus their attention back on the match.

"That f[censore]ing tennis boy. He knew exactly what buttons to push on Loudko. He might seem lazy or sleepy for most of the day but he knows what he's doing." Hiruma thought as he observed the match.

"I'll bet they didn't expect that!"

Shaxx was referring to the fact that she was able to take out Lucy and by extension, Aries and Taurus, along with Akko(Again), and Cicini.

"3 minutes remaining."

Out of all the Rats, even with the lead they had, she was frustrated.

Blaze, who was about to speed past her, after barely avoiding a javelin toss from Aomine, decided to try and help her. And thanks to Lucy, Aomine was dealt with via Aries.

"Thank you." Blaze said.

"No problem." Lucy said.

"Saved me again. Next time I'm gonna save one of you just you watch!" Akko declared.

"Akko, you don't have to save any of us to show you're strength."

"Cut it out! Of course I do! If I don't do well and we lose you guys are gonna kick us out!"

"I'm saying you don't have to show us your strength, because we've already seen it. You don't have anything to prove to us. If that wasn't the case, you wouldn't have gotten the amount of defeats that you were able to. The next step is to add that strength to the rest of the team's."

Akko nodded. "Okay. I'll try."

Meanwhile, Aomine was becoming just as frustrated.

"Damn it! I'm being outclassed in speed. Even some of my formless shot attempts have been dodged. And I can't react to some of Blaze's and Yulaw's attacks fast enough. Not to mention Lucy's spirits. I've gotta get faster!" Aomine thought.

"I know how bad it looks for you. But you can't give up. And trying to force it isn't the way either. If you can't make up the difference between you and the others in speed, then make it up with teamwork. Let's combine our strength and speed." Ruby said to Aomine, right before he was about to speed off. "Sometimes, even an Unstoppable Ace of Aces needs help to be unstoppable."

Aomine looked forward, pondering this for a few seconds before making his decision."Alright. Let's do it."

"So for starters, you've got a submachine gun and an auto rifle. Fighting from long range isn't a good idea. Mid range is your best bet. Let's find a way to get in close and then do some damage."

"Don't you think I know that?"

"You've been trying to shoot people with auto rifles like they've been scout rifles." Ruby pointed out frankly.

Aomine had made a face that pretty much indicated he was caught. "How'd you- whatever. Let's get-"

Cicini slammed the ground via the Aegis relic she wielded, forcing both of them to split up to avoid getting hit.

Aomine tried to shoot at her with the submachine gun he had but nothing was working.

Cicini tried to attack Ruby with the Aegis but she dodged it and hit Cicini with several consecutive hits with her Crescent Rose scythe, taking her out.

"So that's it huh?" Aomine said low to himself.

"Come on! The rest of the team needs us!" Ruby said before starting to run.

Well, everyone but Eliza it seemed. Or Yulaw when it came to his own teammates. They were locked in a 1v1 next to the Rats' initial spawn area, which was the Dunes.

She proved once again to be more than a match for him, blocking all of his attempts to attack her. Which only annoyed Yulaw to the point to where he started to attack faster with more power, performing a standing sweep, which was blocked, as he expected. He held on to the staff and headbutted her hard. That was all the opening he needed to wail into her. After hitting her with a couple of quick punches, he grabbed her by her neck and then sent her into ground before dragging her across it. He then hit her face several times relentlessly before she used her staff to block the next punch. He was about to headbutt her again before she grabbed her by his face and then changed said hand into a snake made of... blood?

The snake hand bit Yulaw's face, causing him to cry out in pain which only caused him to grab her by her neck again and tighten the grip as much as he could.

Chef, who was targeting both the whole time with his sniper, decided to shoot both to end the horrifying display.

"Yeah. Very glad Chef ended that. Thanks." Chris commentated, who was actually taking to Chef as well as he had a miniature microphone attached to his shirt to talk to Chef, Doyle and/or Heloise if necessary.

"Two competitors giving it all they have. What more could you ask for? Now go at it again!"

"Was that... blood?" Libby said, horrified.

"I think it was." Asta said, also surprised.

"You guys are talking about to blood. We gotta have a talk about Yulaw. He looked pi-" Yang said.

"Language Yang!" Weiss scolded again.

"Yeah. He's like you when someone messes with your hair." Blake remarked.

"You know what? You're right." Yang admitted.

***Confessional***

Huey(Storm Kings):

"Yeah I get it's a game and you're trying to win. But that was extra. From both of them. Blood powers or not. Everybody's worried about Hanamiya. Well, moreso the Miracles. I don't see anybody talking about Zak. Or Urien. Probably because they already told you who they are from the get-go. Bass too. Might need to keep an eye on Yulaw and Eliza too before somebody gets really hurt if they're gonna keep fighting like that. Even worse than what happened to Cameron."

Bringing things back to Aomine and Ruby, they used their speed in tandem to combat their opponents. They were approaching X, Cicini and Blaze, who were combating Heloise and Doyle in the middle of the arena next to the corridor.

"X's Jotunn is a tracking shot, but it's not homing! Use your speed to sidestep it and it shouldn't hit you." Ruby said to Aomine as they were approaching.

"Got it."

As explosions, missiles and buster shots were seen, Ruby and Aomine intervened.

"Shoot yourself, now!" Ruby said.

"Huh?"

"Ground, formless shot!"

"You better not be yanking my chain!" Aomine said before shooting down at the ground with the Null cannon he had, which was a a Scorch Cannon that shot void instead of solar. He was launched into the air before throwing the ball downwards as she was shooting the others, trying to dodge the crossfire as well, before Blaze could intervene, she had to avoid the flaming basketball above her, allowing Ruby to actually catch it with her Scythe and spin it, hitting everyone with it before it exploded, knocking everyone back as Aomine returned to the ground.

"Now you're gonna get it." Doyle said pulling out the rocket launcher he had.

"Aomine move!" Ruby called out.

Doyle shot it, with Ruby using her speed to completely make sure she was out of range of the missiles, already being familiar with how that specific rocket launcher looked and what was going to happen if she didn't. Aomine, although not as fast, trusted his instincts and moved as well. It released a volley of Arc swarm missiles, annihilating everything in its path but Blaze who was in her Burning Blaze transformation absolutely blitzing Doyle and Heloise with her speed.

"A swarm missile launcher? Way to be even more blatant with the cheating." Reagan commented.

"That's a real weapon too. Wardcliff Coil. It's good. Annoying if you're going against it. But still good." Yang said.

As Ruby tried to hit her with the Ace of Spades with two shots, she already could tell that it wasn't going to do much, she prepared to have to dodge. What she didn't expect was a fireball to come her way. Before she could even put the Ace of Spades away, she was knocked back, knocking her out. Before her time expired, she took out Aomine, Sophie, Luz and Ryoma with absolutely incredible speed.

"I can't believe what I'm seeing! Because I can barely see anything! INCREDIBLE! FIVE DOWN!"

"The hell was that!?" Aomine said, reappearing in disbelief.

Now, Akko and Lucy were in a 2 on 2 against Sophie and Luz. They were on the cliffs next to the Shrine area of the arena, the same area that the Kings initially started off the match in.

"Magic on magic huh? This'll be good." Luz said.

"Yeah, for us." Akko said back. "Toriara Faciesse!" Both Akko and Luz turned invisible at the same time.

"I'll admit. In terms of individual magic, you have the edge over me Sophie. But as we already saw, your Titans don't hold a candle to my Spirits." Lucy said to Sophie.

"They don't have an Exceed either!" Happy bragged.

"True. I don't have an Exceed. But I do have something that's just as effective." Sophie began to pull out an amulet while Lucy pulled out a key.

"Take Flight! Ic-" Sophie was sent flying off the cliffs.

"Open! Gate of the-" Lucy was also sent flying off.

Both Lucy and Akko reappeared on opposite sides of where the other was.

"You can go invisible too?" Luz asked.

"Yep! Though, oddly enough, I haven't had much use for it."

"How? No one can be seen by you. I'd think that'd be pretty useful."

"I don't know. Maybe I just never thought about it."

"What do you mean you never thought about it?"

"Exactly what I meant?"

"If you can remember all those incantations, how come you can't remember that?"

"How come you didn't remember to use that sword then?"

"It was a backup plan in case something happened to my glyphs!"

"But you can remember all of those drawings?"

"That's different! If I don't know the drawings I can't do magic!" Both were smacked into the wall after a Titan and Celestial Spirit appeared, with enough strength to knock both of them out an force them to respawn.

"Maybe next time, spend less time arguing and more time thinking of your next plan of attack." Sophie commented.

"Thank goodness for Happy. I would have been a goner." Lucy said.

"If you really want to thank me, pay me with fish!" Happy said.

"Yeah, let's think about that after we win."

"A bold assumption to make." Sophie said as Icarus was standing next to her. Icarus was a Titan with humanoid features and possessed grey bird-like wings instead of arms. He also wore orange and yellow armor with a matching helmet and boots.

"You know, they say imitation is the best form of flattery." Happy said.

"Bold of you to assume that Icarus is purely an imitation." Sophie said. "Show them Icarus!" Icarus shot blue lightning bolts from its wings, causing Lucy and Sagittarius to have to dodge the attack, though the second attempt hit Lucy directly.

"Counter it Sagitattarius!" Lucy called out.

Sagittarius is a tall, black-haired and lanky man sporting a horse costume. He also wore a green vest with yellow trims over a white dress shirt, followed by a red and yellow pair of striped pants and purple frills. A bow with quivers was also fastened on his back.

"My arrows cannot counter a force as great as that." Sagittarius said, dodging more blasts from Icarus along with Boltflares from Sophie.

Lucy facepalmed. "That's my fault. I should have worded that better."

"What does she mean word it better? All he had to do was shoot back." Falcon said.

"I can't exactly say for sure but I think that spirit takes things way too literally." Natsu recalled.

"So did he actually think she meant to shoot the bolts with his arrows?" Rei said before facepalming. "Jeez."

"Sounds like Beyal." Bren said before laughing a little.

"Don't shoot the bolts, shoot Sophie and Icarus." Lucy corrected.

"I see. I believe I understand exactly what you requested me to do before. You did not want me to shoot the lightning or the Boltflares. Rather, you wanted me to fire at the sources directly instead." Sagittarius said before drawing arrows to fire back at both.

Both Icarus' and Sagittarius' accuracy was shown off when both hit each other. Though Sophie and Lucy also helped with their own bows, poisoning both. Sagittarius drew three more arrows as Icarus tried to dodge them, timing them perfectly and causing all three to hit him in the chest, knocking out the Titan.

"Boltflare!" The magic from Sophie was able to answer back and cause Sagittarius to off the arena, hopping to avoid the Boltflare. The second Boltflare hit him in the chest to make sure he fell off.

But suddenly, Sophie felt poisoned, the source being Lucy, causing her to fall to the ground from being weakened.

"One downside to having to do the magic yourself. You've gotta focus your attention on your targets." Lucy said confidently before preparing the final blow.

"The same could be said for you and your arrows too." Ryoma said, running before performing his signature Drive B slide and hitting her in the face with the racket directly, knocking her back.

"Thank you." Sophie said before casting another spell. "Everfight!" Orange aura surrounded her as she was healing herself.

"You know I've had just about enough of you cocky kids." Lucy said before deciding to perform her trump card and pull out several more keys.

"Well, come on then." Ryoma said, the aura returning.

"You want me? Well, here... you... GO!" Lucy said before suddenly kicking Ryoma in the face, performing her signature Lucy Kick.

"TAKE YOUR COCKY ATTITUDE SOMEWHERE ELSE!"

Ryoma was sent off the cliffs.

"Nice! She figured it out!" Kagami said.

"That or she was just really mad." Tangle said.

"One. Minute."

"Feels good to let out that pent up frustration huh?" Happy asked.

"You know what? It does. Now let's take out some more." Lucy said, putting a hand into a fist.

"What did I do!?"

"Not you. Just take me flying."

"Aye!"

Akko was up against Luz and Sophie again with Cicini and X.

"Guys, if you can, a little help!" Luz said on the comms.

"Three to two. We should be able to take her." X said.

"More like three to five!" Sophie said before bringing back all of her Titans via Titanic Destruction.

"Take flight! Icarus! Fight with us Sabriel! Take aim Feyone!" Sophie called out. All three Titans appeared.

Sabriel was a Titan that had long pink hair with a horned helmet that covered her eyes. She also had a yellow rapier blade and wore dark and light purple armor. Feyone was a Titan that had very pale skin and wore a dark orange and red dress with a red and orange kilt-like skirt. She wielded a sword. Hers was silver and slightly longer.

"Raypulse!" Sophie called out, sending a blast their way.

"I can take your Titans!" Akko said.

"Akko wait!" X called out.

Akko charged at them all, transforming into an elephant.

The three titans all converged on her.

"Stopglue!" Sophie called out.

Akko turned into a bird to jump over all of the Titans and the Stopglue with the exception of Icarus who tried to grab her. Which worked, but she changed into an elephant again. An ice glyph appeared, something that would have impaled her or sent her flying had Akko not transformed again, turning into a mouse and scampering away on the ice.

Cicini and X activated both of their Ultimate Moves, with Luz doing the same.

"HAAAAAA!" Akko transformed back into her normal self before using her blessed robes Ultimate, preparing to put the game out of reach herself.

What she didn't expect was for Luz to blind her with light magic.

X activated his Double Cyclone ability. Though Luz countered the Cyclone with a sonic shout.

"Need a hand?" Lucy called out before landing on the ground. "Open gate of the Scorpion! Scorp-"

With a boltflare, Sophie was able to knock the key away.

"NO!"

"10 seconds! It's not over until I sing! And as you've seen before, I don't sing!"

"Fine then! Take... This!"

Her kick was blocked by Feyone who attacked her and knocked her back.

The Titans began to attack all of them with X sending two Sonic Slicers arcing upwards at Icarus. Icarus dodged them and Sabriel blocked the attacks, running in to slice at X, forcing him to have to jump back as he prepared to charge a shot. Which wouldn't come to fruition as he was held by Titan Luz with plant magic.

"I promised that we weren't going to lose! And by golly am I going to keep that promise!" Luz said, holding them together.

Aomine and Ruby were coming in with Blaze speeding right behind them.

"Formless Blades! Now!" Ruby called out, making another move combination callout on the fly.

Aomine readied the formless shot, knowing that they weren't going to outrun Blaze by any stretch of the imagination.

Ruby surrounded herself in solar energy as solar explosive knives were now in her hands. She was about to activate her Blade Barrage super, one that she doesn't like using but one that she knew she had no choice but to use if they hoped to win. Golden Gun wasn't going to be in enough time. And, she knew the Blade Barrage had a lower chance of being dodged/countered.

X had no choice.

All colors around X inverted as everything around him stopped, with the exception of the Crucible time.

Several solar blades were seen in the air flying right at Lucy, Akko and Cicini just as three lasers from Cicini were about to drop down from the sky. Aomine was seen with several blades in his hands, preparing to throw them.

Akko was seen about to try to attack back against Luz and all of the Titans, unaware of the blades with Blaze being inches behind Ruby and Aomine.

Ryoma was seen from a distance, in the air, aura surrounding him about to send a synaptic spear with Yulaw and Eliza fighting each other once again(though this couldn't be seen in view by X or the others).

Time expired, with the match being decided.

"What? What happened? Everything just stopped! Time... over? The Rats win. Arcite, is this correct? Everything in the arena froze."

"Yes sir. It appears to be correct."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure."

Time suddenly resumed with the Blade Barrage connecting and exploding as well, utterly annihilating everyone that wasn't a King in the area, wiping them off the field.

"The hell just happened!?" Sendo asked out loud.

"I... don't know." Lanolin answered.

"Replay! We demand an explanation! This has to be a mistake!" Courtney said.

"Arcite! Show the footage! I want to make sure this is correct! I won't allow the integrity of such a great match to be ruined by a mistake like this!"

The footage of the last few seconds was shown with time suddenly stopping and colors inverting.

X was the only one unaffected it seemed as his armor was purple.

"I don't get it. What happened?" Chris asked.

"Don't know. Everything just froze." Doyle said.

Shaxx appeared on the island via Chris.

"I'm a little unsure of what to do here. Hang on while I sort this out."

"That was one of my abilities." X said as he and the other 11 returned as well.

"Your abilities? Explain." Shaxx said.

"Dark hold. It stops time for several seconds. But only for the surrounding environment."

"I see. However, if that is the case, then I think I have the outcome then. But first, I am going to need proof. Show me." Shaxx said.

X nodded before performing Dark Hold again, stopping time. He then moved to the side of Shaxx to show that he was unaffected.

"Whatever you-" Shaxx said before turning and seeing X on the side of him.

"What? How did you- Ah. I see now. Thank you." Shaxx said before turning to the others. "Well then. The match has been decided. The victor is..."

"The Rats."

Several members, after taking in what happened, cheered while several of the Kings, including Heather was in outrage.

"What!? How! Time literally stopped!" Heather said.

"If time stopped, then the timer for the match should have stopped too. This doesn't make any sense." Alejandro said calmly. He was upset as well with the others, but he was trying to keep calm to make a more convincing statement to try and overturn the outcome as anger may deter him from changing it.

"With all due respect Lord Shaxx, I believe we, at the very least, deserve a repeat of these seconds." Eliza said, trying to keep her composure as well.

"Allow me to explain. Because of how the Crucible works, there are sanctioned and unsanctioned weapons. Abilities, for the most part, are allowed, including those of the dark, such as Weiss' stasis abilities, had she participated. And the newfound strand! Because Dark Hold was an ability from X and not an environmental effect, time will still run as normal." Shaxx explained.

"In other words, because it came from a competitor, it is allowed." Rook said.

"Correct."

"The fact that you can stop time is stupid! This is literally cheating!" Heather shouted.

"Not really. Clockwork has time powers too." Ben said.

"But at least that's if you choose that form. And that watch has a time limit from what I remember, right?" Heather asked.

"Yeah. It does."

"X's can probably last forever for all we know."

"Heather, calm down. You're not thinking. If X is a robot, he has to be powered by something, right? That's a limit right there." Alejandro said.

Heather took a deep breath. "Yeah. You're right. That's fair I guess."

***Confessional***

Heather(Storm Kings):

"That does make sense. Which is probably why he doesn't choose to do something like that all the time. That uses energy. So in a way, it's a little like Ben's watch. I'm still not happy with the loss, but I'll begrudgingly accept it. But how does he recharge? I guess since he's built to think like a person, he recharges by going to sleep. Which means challenges like endurance ones where he has to stay awake and use energy might be a nightmare for him. I'll make sure to keep that in mind."

"Well, that's it! The Rats beat the Kings and are safe from elimination folks!" Chris announced.

Ruby and Luz sighed with Sophie being visibily frustrated.

"We were so close!" Sophie said before groaning.

"Wow. This is my first time seeing her so upset." Julie said.

"She may not say it but her actions speak louder than her words. She was looking forward to facing off against Lucy. And was confident that she would win." Gorem said, in hr hand.

"Oh. I see. That really has to sting then." Julie said.

"Dan feels the same way with some of his rivals. Not calling this anywhere close to that, but she was definitely invested in this match a lot with how much emotion she was showing here." Julie thought.

"Sorry you guys couldn't get it." Crescent said, next to Ruby.

"Yeah. It was fun. But, I still really wanted to win and show everyone what the power of Guardians could do." Ruby said.

"But you did. I think everyone's amazed at the powers you all have. Different grenades, Golden Gun, Thundercrash. Blinding grenades. The only unfortunate thing was that your friends Blake and Weiss didn't get to go." Crescent said.

"Yeah. How come you never told us about this?" Isagi asked.

"Because, Crescent and the other ghosts had to stay behind when we returned to Remnant. And, because we're away from the Traveler, even if they did go with us, we won't have access to the light here." Ruby explained.

"So it's like my magic then." Luz said.

"You know, I never thought of it that way. But that's exactly it." Ruby said.

"Well then, I won't waste anymore time here. If you want redemption, don't worry. I will be seeing you again later on. If you last, that is. But don't expect me to allow you to run amok like I did here. You will need a lot more strategy and teamwork if you want to win. Win or lose, you should all pat yourselves on the back. You put on an incredible show that I will show off to all of the Crucible newbies and redjacks! You will not be forgotten! I look forward to seeing you all again!" Shaxx said.

"Yep. You'll definitely be- hey wait a second!" Chris said before the portal was already starting to close with Shaxx and Ruby's Ghost Crescent going through it.

"Good luck! I hope you make it all the way so we can work together again!" Crescent called out before the portal closed.

"Great." Chris said sarcastically.

***Confessional***

Chris:

"Well it's a good thing that isn't going to happen in this part of the season. Otherwise I'd have to rearrange the episodes. Again! Unless I do it or I say it's okay. No one, under any circumstances, can spoil the upcoming episodes or challenges! Because then they'll try to prepare for it. And what's the fun in seeing them prepared for these challenges. I like it when they're surprised! Because then it makes even some of the smartest guys here embarrass themselves!"

"We won!" Happy cheered.

"Yeah. Nice one Lucy!" Natsu said.

"Oh it was nothing." Lucy said dismissively, waving off the praise.

"Still though. Wouldn't have gotten to that point if I was able to win that game." Natsu said before he was suddenly punched in the face by Sendo.

"What the heck is wrong with you!?" Lucy said.

"Sendo! There was absolutely no reason for you to do that!" Lanolin said.

"Yeah, there was." Sendo said.

"What was that for!?" Natsu said, getting up after recovering from the surprise he had from getting punched that suddenly.

"What reason could you possibly have for hitting your own teammate out of the blue like that?" Diana asked.

"'Cause I ain't about to hear this sorry a[censored] excuse for a mage try to have people throw a pity for him!"

"WHAT!?" Natsu said, getting in his face. "You wanna say that again buddy? I'll show you sorry!" Natsu said before hitting him back before they got into a scuffle, with the two getting on the ground.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Rei, Kagami and Falcon said with Hiruma tasing Natsu and Sendo.

"F[censored]ing morons! Calm down!" Hiruma said.

"You do that s[censored] to me again and we're gonna have a problem. Got it?" Sendo said with Hiruma being unfazed.

When both of them got up, Kagami punched both of them.

"Kagami!" Several of the Rats said.

Rei pulled Kagami's ear. "You moron! Why would you do that!?"

"The hell is wrong with you!? Let go of my ear!"

"Will you stop hitting people?" Rei asked as Kagami was trying to get free only to get grabbed by the ear again causing him to yelp in pain.

"Yes! Now let go!"

After being convinced, Rei let go. "Why do I even bother sometimes." She grumbled.

Several people including Todd, Louie, Miyuki and Haizaki tried to contain their laughter after seeing this exchange between the two.

"What's so funny? You wanna share it with the class!?" Kagami said, turning around, showing them a balled up fist which caused Todd, Miyuki and Louie to instantly stop.

"A son defendin' his mom. Brings a tear to my eye." Haizaki said.

"You're really askin' for another a[censored] whoopin' aren't ya? Keep talkin'." Kagami said, getting steamed again.

"Are you implying that my kids will be stupid!?" Rei asked Haizaki, side by side next to Kagami.

"That's right! Wait..." Kagami said.

"If I may." Blaze started speaking, which seemed to be a rarity for her since there were other more outspoken voices than her. "Sendo was explaining the reason as to why he hit Natsu. I understand Natsu retaliating, but I think we should allow Sendo to finish, uninterrupted, reasoning valid or not."

"Look man. You know and I know that you're not some weak mage or fighter. How many times have we seen that in these challenges? But with how you're acting, you make it seem like you are. Even if the guy did win, sittin' here wantin' people to feel sorry for you ain't gonna change things. I don't know if training's the answer or not. But this sure ain't the answer either. That's why I did it. To knock some sense back into ya." Sendo said.

"Yeah. You're right. Usually I don't get like this. But man did I need that." Natsu said before grinning. "Okay, I'm already ready to go for round two. Get ready Gorem! Next time I fight you you're goin' down!"

"I look forward to it." Gorem said, revealing itself again.

"That still doesn't explain why you hit them." Rei said to Kagami.

"For being dumba[censored]es that's why. Look, I get how he feels, but punching him wasn't the answer. Could have gotten a whole lot worse." Kagami said.

"Couldn't the same be said for your punch?" Kise remarked.

"Look, it's different. I-it's hard to explain."

"Means you can't explain it." Rick said.

"Look, I had a good reason for doing it alright!?"

"Sure you did. You had good intentions, but it was still stupid." Rei said.

"Yeah, because pulling on my ear wasn't stupid either."

"That's not the same as hitting someone!"

"It still hurt!"

"No it didn't, I didn't even pull that hard."

"No I didn't!"

"How are you gonna tell me how I'm supposed to feel?"

"What do you mean by that?" Ruby asked.

"I was apart of the team that lost two games. We were so close. And I made a promise that we wouldn't lose. If I had just attacked instead of holding X I-"

"You gave it your best shot. Besides, I think we're all in agreement that no one expected X to be able to stop time." Marinette said.

"Still though. That's not going to change things."

Speaking of X, several of them were praising him for the play.

"That would not have had to happen if Akko had waited and stopped being so anxious to try and beat Luz." Albedo said.

"So you guys are saying it's my fault now?" Akko asked in disbelief.

"Yeah. It kinda is. Honestly." Emma said.

"So maybe it was an aggressive move. But we had to do something."

"We could have done something as a team. Think about it from this perspective. Had X not been able to stop time, who do you think this loss would have been pinned on?" Diana asked.

"You should be the last person talking about team traitor."

"Are you really still on that? Unbelievable."

"On what?" Tangle asked.

"She thinks I'm in an alliance just because I've been with Karin and Kageyama by myself."

"Akko, this is a bold assumption. Do you have any proof of this?" Lanolin asked.

"No. Other than Diana and Kageyama both being sweaty. But I'll get some soon enough!" Akko said.

"Being sweaty could mean anything. You're going to need more than that."

"I know that!" Akko said, making a face before leaving to talk to Luz.

"I understand that she was trying to close out the game to prevent a comeback, but that was still risky. And it was a risk she quite honestly didn't have to take. Not to mention the fact that Ryoma knew she could bait her. X's time stop really was the difference in this match."

"Hey. That was a good game." Akko said to her.

"Yeah. It was fun. Hey, I've got something to tell you. In private." Luz said.

"Ooh, privacy huh? What's the secret? Is it an alliance? Someone else here in love?"

"No, none of that. This is really important. Don't tell anyone else this unless you trust them. Please." Luz said.

"My lips are sealed!" Akko said, giving Luz a thumbs up.

"Akko. I'm serious."

"I'm telling you you can trust me!"

"I don't know the full details of this myself, so I'll tell you as best as I can." Luz started before explaining to her the situation with Akashi.

Afterwards, Akko was in shock.

"How come the others never said anything about this?"

"I don't know. I'd ask, but I don't even think they know themselves. Mind you, I still don't get the full details yet. And I probably won't."

"Why not just ask him?"

"He'd probably say he's fine or something like that. Which, he honestly does look like he's okay."

"That's a lot of assumptions."

"I know, but I still think it's rude to ask him that out of the blue."

"Hmm... wait, what do you mean you probably won't?"

"More than likely, after being a part of two games we lost, I'm gonna be on the chopping block tonight."

"Come on don't say that! I don't wanna see you go!" Akko said, clinging on to her.

"I don't want to go either. But after what happened, I'd be lying to myself if I didn't think that. Hopefully I don't but... yeah. Which is exactly why I'm trusting you to keep an eye on Akashi. Marinette knows. And I'm sure she's only going to tell people she trusts."

"Oh yeah. Completely forgot. Gonna need those suits. Thanks." Chris said before getting all of them to take the suits off.

"Aw man. Still though, who knew soda could be that deadly." Zee said.

"That's about all I got. Kings! Elimination tonight! Be there or be square!"

"You know, I just thought of something. How come Kise could copy all of those powers? I thought he couldn't copy that type of stuff." Tangle said.

"That's the full power of his Perfect Copy. In no way will it be the same as the real thing. But Kise's able to make it close enough to make it feel like it is." Aomine said, remembering the game against Jabberwock when Kise and Aomine were in perfect sync just like now.

"I thought he said he couldn't copy things like magic though?" Akko said.

"It's the suits. Just like Natsu is able to enter Dragon Force without actually fulfilling the requirements, Kise can copy things he normally wouldn't be able to, like Fire Magic." Lucy explained. "Or at least that's my best guess."

"Your guess would be correct. Otherwise, there would be no way for either I or Tennyson to have access to Master Control through these means." Albedo said.

"Or for Kise to just access the Zone that easily. I may not know what his trigger is, but he sure as heck has one. Hasn't activated it since the Jabberwock game and that was the first time he ever did it. He started that game immediately in it." Aomine said.

"So, how powerful is his Perfect Copy exactly?" Alejandro asked Aomine.

"Can't really say honestly. And that's because I still don't know the exact extent of what he can and can't copy. I know for sure he probably can't copy Kuroko's Misdirection. But he can still copy some of his moves like the Cyclone Pass. But, it's got a limit. All of that puts a strain on his body. Which is probably why he was so drained even with the suits. I'd imagine he might have tried to work on that. But still, doing all of those powerful moves at once is a lot to ask."

"I see. Good to know."

"If that's the case, then he might be someone we have to watch out for. That copying could be too powerful to deal with later on. Maybe even more of a problem than Haizaki's stealing."

Later on, Aomine was seen by himself, writing in his notebook again.

"Whatcha doin'?" Dewey said, coming out of nowhere and causing Aomine to yell out loud, scaring him.

"Tetsu! What's-" He started before seeing that it was Dewey. "Oh. It's you."

"Sorry. Wasn't trying to scare you."

"Well congrats, you still did it anyway." Aomine said, annoyed before Dewey gave him one of the pieces of papers that flew.

"Give me that." Aomine said, swiping it from him.

"Don't worry. I didn't look. I promise."

"Yeah. Sure you didn't. What is up with people being nosy all of a sudden."

"People? Guess I wasn't the first person."

"Nope. Weiss did the same thing."

"Today?"

"No. Couple days ago. Look, what do you want? Did Weiss send you here or somethin'?"

"Uh, no?"

"Then what do you want?"

"Just wanted to make sure you were feeling okay. That's all."

"Feeling okay? For what?"

"Come on, you looked pretty bummed out after that game."

"Yeah, we lost. Of course I'm not gonna be happy."

"The balled up pieces of paper kinda give it away."

Aomine gave him a face that showed he didn't know how to react to that. "Oh hell no. I'd rather keep my hair on my head thanks."

"Nope. But I gotta admit, that did catch me off guard. So I guess I'll budge. Let's see... one interesting thing about me. Hmm..." Aomine said, thinking. "Uh, guess if there was one thing I wanted to be outside of basketball it'd be being a police officer."

"A police officer huh? Pretty cool."

"Don't think much of it though. Just seems cool. Don't have any other reason to pick that honestly. Basketball's still the main thing for me."

"Hey, that's cool too. I think you'd be pretty great at it."

"It's still high risk though. I don't make it in basketball, I don't exactly have much else that really interests me."

"I think it's good to have a backup plan. But at the same time, you shouldn't force yourself to try to like something you don't genuinely enjoy. If basketball's the only thing you genuinely enjoy, then go for it. Besides, who says you wouldn't make it?"

"With where I am right now I wouldn't. I've got a good ways to go."

"Practice makes perfect. Say, why don't you practice against me?"

"Against you? No offense man, but-"

"Come on, you said you need to get better right? Let me be your opponent."

"Bold of you to assume I've even got a ball."

Aomine went to get his basketball and tried to dribble it, only to realize there was sand as it fell in the ground.

"Well, this is a bust." Aomine said.

"TV?" Dewey proposed.

"Don't got nothin' else better to do."

Meanwhile, Kagami was talking to Adrien who had came out from helping bring Kise to his bed, who was resting.

"How's Kise feelin'?" Kagami asked.

"Pretty good. Even with the suits, I think all that copying did a number on him. He's burnt out. And I mean really burnt out." Adrien answered.

"Makes sense. That's a heck of a lot of power he's copying. Hinata's jumping, Natsu's fire magic. Your powers. Aomine's speed and the Zone. It makes a whole lotta sense."

"If his body's feeling like that. I'm actually kind of glad that he can't copy all of that stuff normally. He could end up getting himself hurt from overwork."

"I hear you're sayin but... you should be tellin' Kise that. Not me."

"Yeah. I guess you're right. But, now wouldn't be the time. He needs to rest."

Just then, Rei and Marinette appeared which caused the two teens to turn.

"Oh hey. What's up?" Kagami and Adrien said simultaneously to Rei and Marinette respectively.

"I actually just wanted to talk to Kagami." Rei said.

"I wanted to talk to Adrien too."

"Sure. What's going on?" Kagami asked.

"I uh... can we talk about this somewhere else?" Rei asked.

"Sure. Where?" Adrien asked.

"Just me and Kagami. Please?"

"Oh. Okay. Sure!" Adrien said.

"Is that okay with you Marinette?" Rei asked.

"Sure! I... wanted to talk with just Adrien anyways." Marinette answered.

"With how Rei is, I never suspected her to be that... unsure of herself. I'd say that's more me than anyone else. Though I guess that's a little of me showing in her. If that makes sense with all of the multiverse stuff. We do sound pretty similar after all."

"What's up? What did you wanna talk to me about?" Kagami asked.

"I... just wanted to say sorry again. I know it sounds repetitive, but I don't want to come off as creepy asking questions like that. And for pulling your ear. I probably was pulling a little too hard."

"Nah. You're good. I shouldn't have punched Natsu. Or Sendo. That was stupid. I just..." Kagami started before sighing. "I gotta get better control of myself. This is why as much as I said I learned how to be a leader from Kiyoshi and Hyuga, I wouldn't dare be the first one to volunteer if there were picks. The second something goes wrong and somebody does something stupid I'd do or say something to make it worse. Like how I made Momoi cry with what I said to her. I didn't mean to do it. I like taking a straightforward approach ya know? But not everybody likes or agrees with that. And now I'm stuck. What do I do?" Kagami said before holding his head in frustration. "Maybe Kuroko's right. I am an awkward person."

Rei grabs Kagami's shoulder.

"I won't pretend as if you don't need to improve. But, I think everyone here has something they need to improve on. That includes me. Want me to tell you a secret? I did something pretty similar. If not worse. I... slapped Usagi during a huge time of crisis. Won't go into the details but, there was a lot more in that slap than just trying to help get Usagi together. There was a lot of mean-spirited anger and jealousy in that slap. Yeah, Ami did the same thing, but she was genuinely trying to help get Usagi to focus. Usagi needed real support. That's when I should have differed and realized that it wasn't my place, even if I did partially mean well. Intentions don't make it right. Even if it wasn't coming from a good place to begin with."

Kagami gives her a couple of taps on the shoulder before looking at her, smiling. "Then if that's the case. Let's both grow. Together."

"Together? Is he..." Rei thought, her cheeks slowly starting to turn red.

Kagami notices Rei's face and immediately corrects himself. "Uh, I meant like..."

"Crap, what do I do? How the heck am I supposed to fix that?" Kagami thought.

"Get stronger! Yeah! Like what I said to Falcon, Sendo and Natsu." He said.

Rei started to laugh. "Of course! Yeah!" She added before giving him a friendly, but determined smile as she held out her hand for a fist bump.

"Alright! Let's go all the way. And win the whole thing." Kagami said.

"Speaking of whole thing, we never finished watching those movies." Rei pointed out.

"Oh yeah. Guessin' you wanna finish 'em."

"Whenever you're free. I-if you want to that is."

"Sure. I got time tonight."

"Well, now that that's settled, I gotta go to the bathroom. Then check up on Kise and Natsu. I'll see ya."

"Yep!" Rei said before giving the peace sign as Kagami walked away.

Kagami breathed a sigh of relief. "Phew. Definitely didn't want that to come out the wrong way. There's no telling what she'd say if she found out." He thought before picturing Rei laughing him off. As he bowed his head in shame. "Why man? I'm so hopeless."

Rei puts her hands in her face. "A peace sign. That was so lame."

"What are you doing?" Noelle asked, walking past her.

"Nothing for you to be concerned about."

"Don't worry, I was never concerned in the first place."

"Then why even ask that question?"

"It was more out of curiosity than anything else. For someone like you that seems so sure of themselves to look so embarrassed, it piqued my interest."

"Embarrassed? You don't even know what's going on." Rei scoffed, blushing.

"And I don't care to."

"Then here's something you should care about doing. Minding your own business."

It was that comment that seemed to have bothered Noelle the most by the face she made. "What gives you the right to think you can talk to me that way?"

"Oh sorr-y for not being another doormat for you to step on. I'm not Hinata. You try to talk down to me or make fun of me I'm going to stand up for myself."

"Stand up for yourself? The only standing you've been doing is to spectate."

"So it's my fault that I wasn't chosen to be in these challenges? You say this as if you haven't been standing around yourself. And if I recall, I've been in a challenge. The burger tossing competition, remember? Don't think because you've won one challenge you're better than everyone else."

"Burger tossing? Your role was so miniscule I forgot you were even in that challenge."

"Of course you'd forget. That's the same challenge you slipped and embarrassed yourself on."

"Embarrassed myself? Eliza got in the way!"

"Blame game huh? So now you remember since I'm calling you out."

"Ladies, ladies, no need to figh-" Falcon started, intervening as he overheard them only to get yelled at himself.

"I hope I'm in the next challenge and it's against her. Someone needs to check her and that stupid attitude she's got. I can't be the only one that's annoyed by it. She's been like this since we first met her and Asta in 2105. Only reason it hasn't gotten more attention is because she hasn't been in that many challenges."

"So, what's going on?" Adrien asked Marinette.

"It's about Akashi." Marinette started.

"Akashi? What's going on with him?"

"Luz told me that there are two Akashis. She doesn't know the full details, but from what Midorima told her, he said there were clear signs of an abnormal change within him."

"He seems fine. Quiet but, you could say that about a decent bit of your team. But that doesn't mean that something can't be wrong."

"Oddly enough, he's been the most quiet out of all of them. And now that I think about it, he's played in the least number of games."

"I never noticed that about the challenges. You're right. I'm guessing the change was for the worse?"

"From what I've been told, yes. What that looks like, I don't know. I doubt it'll be something drastic and obvious like Launch. It didn't seem like it was that type of change."

"The question is, what would even trigger it?"

"Don't know. There's a lot of unanswered questions here honestly. Easiest thing would be to ask how he's feeling, but I'd imagine he'd say he's fine."

"Won't know if we don't try. We've got to start somewhere." Adrien reasoned.

"True."

"Do the others know about this?"

"What do you mean?"

"Kise, Aomine and Kagami."

"Don't think Aomine knows. But I have no clue about Kise and Kagami. Guess you could ask?"

"I think that's a good idea. I'll try to be selective in who I tell this too. No offense to Sendo, but I think he'd take the wrong approach when it comes to hearing this. Hiruma too."

"Just because we're on different teams, doesn't mean we can't talk to each other about things. Friendship, and things like this, extend beyond teams. If someone needs help, we can't let something like that get in the way of that."

As Kagami was talking to Natsu, Adrien had found him.

"Kagami, do you mind if I talk to you for a minute?"

"What's this about? This can't be about Rei is it?"

"Uh... sure. What is it?"

"Hey Kagami you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost or something man." Natsu asked, concerned.

"Ghost?" Kagami repeated before laughing a little. "No way!"

"If this isn't a good time for you, I can come back." Adrien offered.

"No man. You're good! Go ahead!" Kagami said before gulping.

"Natsu, you can stick around too if you'd like." Adrien said.

"Sure."

"Natsu's gonna hear this too? S[censored]!"

"It's about Akashi."

Kagami flinched a little before his shoulders eased.

"Akashi huh? What's going on with him?" Kagami asked.

"Did you know about there being 2 Akashis?"

"2? Oh yeah. I did."

"Wait a second, what do you mean by two?" Natsu asked, confused.

"He's got this dual personality. It's real subtle. Can't really identify too many differences but, one of 'em is the fact that the first one, the one you're seeing now ain't as crazy as the other one."

"Crazy how?" Adrien asked.

"Crazy as in the dude literally tried to attack me with scissors." Kagami said.

"Gonna be honest, that wasn't the answer I was expecting."

"I know. It's weird but, that's exactly what happened. I dodged, but he still cut me across the cheek a bit, it was actually bleeding a little. He also said he'd gouge out his eyeballs if he lost to Midorima and Shutoku too."

"What? It's just a game. He can't be that serious. Right?" Natsu asked.

"Crazy part was, he might have been. He scored on his team's own goal to further try to prove his point. I get trying to wake your team up, but damn man. As much as I wanna win, it'll never get that far. They won the game so we'll never know."

"Yeah, I think that's all I needed to know." Adrien said. "Thanks."

"Yeah, I'm definitely keeping an eye on him now. This is more than just a minor concern. Someone could get seriously hurt. Or worse."

Meanwhile, Marinette was talking to Akashi.

"While I am not particularly happy about the loss, I don't blame this loss on anyone in particular. The Time Stop was unexpected. Everyone, including Aomine played wonderfully. Yes, he struggled in the beginning. But his willingness to work with his teammates is a testament to how much he has grown as a player, and a person."

"Yeah. I was actually feeling the same way. Not about the Aomine thing. But about Luz. I think she did great. If it wasn't for her, Akko probably would have put the game out of reach."

"Yes. Exactly. I do thank you for willing to check to see how I'm feeling. I wish I could repay you in kind."

"You don't have to do anything for me. Just hearing a thank you is enough for me."

Akashi, which was a rarity for him, laughed a little. "I suppose being a superhero, that is nothing new for you."

"Yeah. Guess so. If there's something you'd like to talk about, please don't be afraid to talk to us. Or to me."

"I will be sure to keep that in mind. Thank you."

"Okay. Well that settles that. Now to-"

"Marinette!" Adrien called out.

"Oh! Adrien! Perfect timing!"

"Yeah. We need to talk. ASAP."

While one pair from the Rats and Kings were talking, another more villainous pair were conversing as well. That pair being Yulaw and Eliza.

"Your fighting skills are impressive. Aggressive. Ruthless. Merciless." Eliza said in an almost seductive tone as she moved closer to him.

"I already have a girlfriend. Just so you know." Yulaw said.

"Oh. Well that's too bad. I hope she's aware of the man she's dealing with."

"She knows all too well. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her."

"Then she is one lucky woman."

"The same could be said for me. I suppose you could we're, taking our time with things."

"I see."

"Now that that's out of the way..."

"There's one more thing I'd like to ask you."

"If you want forgiveness or mercy, then go to church. Not me."

Eliza could only laugh at Yulaw's attempt at being snarky with her.

"I guess that makes two of us. It's a shame that we couldn't become a power couple in more ways than one."

"What do you mean in more ways than one?" Yulaw asked, eyebrows raised.

"I want you to join me. With our power combined, there's almost no one here that can beat us. Most here care about friendships, helping others, achieving their dreams. My dream is to live a life of luxury, with everyone who defies me be under my boot. I believe yours would be similar to mine, am I right?"

"First you put me under your staff and smash it on my head. Then you put a snake hand on my face and try to bite it off. Then you want me to be your boyfriend. Now you want me to help you win the show. And they say Hiruma is crazy."

"And that means?"

"It means no. Do I have to spell it out for you too?"

Eliza's whole demeanor changed. "I see. Then if you aren't with me. Then you are against me. And all those that are against me...Will be crushed under my boot. And in your case, my staff. Again."

Which means, I don't have to be asked to do absolutely everything. That doesn't make me lazy. That just makes me smart. I'm more than capable of carrying my weight. In most things anyway. I get exposed for being in an alliance with someone on another team, someone could think I'm a rat or mole and take me out. Then, my one chance to achieve godhood will be ruined. Think about it. We've been to several places where at least one person here is familiar with it. Which means, more than likely I'll meet my other self on these travels. And when I kill him. "Yeah. You're safe. Looks like your criticism of the Rich Girl rivalry didn't age well." Chef said.

"How did you-" Sophie started before getting hit in the face with the cookie pack.

"If you're frustrated I completely understand. Just don't let it get in the way of the challenges." Weiss said.

"There is nothing for me to be frustrated about!" Sophie snapped.

"Yeah, she's really hurt about that loss." Doyle said.

"Aomine, Luz and Ryoma, no cookie, no second chance." Chef said.

"Ryoma, despite your cocky attitude, you've proven you can back it up. Outside of that kick. Not gonna lie, that was funny." Chef said.

"If you were playing, how did you know that happened?" Ryoma asked.

"Was watching with a sniper." Chef said.

"In other words, you're basically admitting to slacking off on the job." Ryoma said casually.

"Pretty much. As long as he got some kills, or at leas tried to. I don't care. 'Cause it was funny." Chris said.

"Good grief." Ryoma said, closing his eyes before catching the cookie pack.

"Aomine! Luz! Final two!"

"Aomine! Your impulsiveness got you off to a bad start. And for the most part, you were outclassed by most of the other opponents. But, you recovered with the help of your teammates. Particularly Ruby."

"Yeah. Guess so." Aomine said.

"Luz! You've been in two games and lost. And you're the winner of the first Multiverse season. This made you a risk from day one."

"Like I said, that all makes sense. I hope to get a second chance though."

Aomine catches the cookie. Luz could only sigh.

"Sorry you don't get a second chance Luz." Aomine said.

"Hey, it's okay. Don't feel bad for me. I still had a lot of fun here. And besides, that just means someone else gets a chance to win the money that deserves it." Luz said.

"When you put it that way..."

"It was nice seeing you again. And to be on your team. Since we were on opposite teams the last season." Marinette said to Luz.

"Same here. Huey too. Glad to see that everyone gets to see the real Huey."

"What am I chopped liver?" Zak S. said.

"Come on, I didn't forget about you. Or Team RWBY." Luz said before giving him a high five.

"Still sucks you can't be here longer though." Zak said.

"Yeah but, nothing that can be done about it now."

"Luz." Huey F. called out.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks again."

Luz had to think for a moment before she realized what he meant.

"You're welcome."

"Thank you. For everything you've done Luz. You played two very good games." Akashi said.

"No problem!" Luz said, still keeping an eye on him.

"Same here. Even though you didn't win, I think it was awesome to see your magic." Isagi said.

"Thanks! It really is fun to use."

After getting several waves of goodbyes, she got her bags and got on the boat, with several of her teammates waving.

"The rest of you are safe! For now." Chris said.

"Aomine, can I-" Marinette started as the teams started to head back to the cabins.

"Yeah I got you. Just hold on a bit." Aomine said, raising a hand which stopped her.

Aomine caught up to Weiss, who was talking with Ruby and the others.

"Hey, Weiss." Aomine started.

"What is it?"

He showed her the torn pages in the notebook he had.

"Is that- you didn't. Why?"

"Wanted to start over on those pages. This game. And what you and Dewey said, really got to me. This feeling. It just... hurts."

"Hurts? Aomine, are you-" Weiss started, concerned before Aomine stopped her.

"It's not the same as I when I talked to you last time. It just burns me up because I did all I could. And I still got outclassed. Blaze literally ran circles around me. And I got crushed by Yulaw and Lucy's spirits every time I went up against them. Doesn't matter how much you guys or Akashi try to downplay it. I helped us lose. And it just won't go away. Those scenes. Over and over again. They just keep playing in my head. Just like in the last game I had when I went up against Seirin again. I won the first game. But back then that was when I was, like I said, a jerk. And that's putting it lightly."

"Second game, I was the same way. But that was before I realized they really stepped up their game. Especially Kagami. And I paid for it. They trained and worked hard. I got arrogant and slacked off. Doesn't matter that I tried my best." Aomine said as the scene of him being unable to stop Kagami's game-winning dunk was shown. "That ain't gonna cut it. To keep it short, they deserved to win that game looking back. As much as I hate to say it. But I still wish I could have did more. That's what makes it hurt so much. But this, what else was I supposed to do? I go to practice. I train and start working towards getting better again. And it's still not enough. It'd be one thing if it was close. It wasn't. Someone like Heather might think my speed is fast. But it ain't nothin' compared to these guys. I don't even know if I'm even faster than Ruby."

"I'm confused. Are you sure this isn't another venting session? I'm not saying you can't express your feelings, because I want you to. I'm just... confused."

"All I'm saying is... that burning feeling. I wanna work to get better. I know it sounds stupid but... I'm not just gonna sit around and do nothing and watch my team lose. Being the ace means you gotta carry the load. And carry the burden that some of your teammates just aren't strong enough to carry. Watching Kise and Kagami play, especially after what Kise did in today's challenge, made me understand that. If your Ace doesn't believe they can win, then how do you think the rest of your team will feel? It's not the same as captain but, they're both important in different ways."

"I'm glad to see you're not willing to quit. If you want... I can help you."

"Help me? How?"

"Training. Even if my combat training is a little different compared to how you train, it could still help. Let me know the time and I'll try my best to accommodate for you." Weiss said.

"Really? I don't know. I wouldn't consider myself to be a fighter on your level by any means. I'd just be your punching bag more than anything else. Or a burden."

"Nonsense. What happened to all of that talk about the Ace's burden?"

"Well yeah, but-"

"You can't even basketball here because of the sand. You don't exactly have that many options, you know."

"Yeah, you got a point. Alright, I'll do it."

"Excellent. Just let me know when you'd like to start. Be prepared to work hard. I won't be easy on you."

"I don't doubt it. And also, thanks. Not just for this. But, for everything. What you lack in cooking, you make up for in a lot of other ways."

"Flattery won't lighten the load."

"I'm not. I'm serious. I really do mean it. Here, take a look." Aomine said before handing her the notebook. "Hey, could you hold on to that for me for a bit? I don't wanna keep Marinette waiting."

"Sure. Okay." Weiss said before reading the notebook and the new drafts he started to write.

"What was that about?" Yang asked as Ruby and the others stayed behind to wait for her.

"I offered to train him to help improve his skills." Weiss said, still reading through the pages.

"What's the notebook for? Is that some moves?" Ruby asked.

"No."

"Workouts or exercises he wants to do?"

"No. It has nothing to do with the training."

"Then if it's not training, what is it?"

"I'd rather not say without Aomine's permission."

"Oh I get it, something personal huh?"

"Ruby, please don't be too overbearing about this." Blake said.

"I won't. But you I am a little curious though. And plus, how come only Weiss gets to read it if it's so personal?"

"I don't know, and I'd rather not pry in if it's as personal as Weiss claims it is to him."

"Is this one of those, 'diaries' that I've heard you four mention?" Penny asked.

"It's not a diary either." Weiss said.

"But friend Weiss, you stated that the book was personal to King Aomine. Personal books that cannot be seen explicitly without other people's permission, and, judging from your emotions at the moment, would be considered a diary, correct?"

"Actually, most boys don't have diaries. They have journals if anything." Ruby corrected.

"I see. Would this be a journal?"

"Look if Weiss and Aomine wanna talk about it, they will. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna catch some shut eye. I'll see ya." Yang said before going on ahead to the cabins.

"Still think it's weird only Weiss gets to read it." Ruby said.

"There's nothing weird about it. Maybe the two talked alone or something." Blake said.

"Ohhhh. That makes more sense." Ruby said before noticing Weiss smiling while reading it.

"Blake, Weiss is smiling." Ruby whispered.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Blake asked.

"Well yes, but I wonder what he wrote. Maybe he said something nice about us." Ruby said before using her semblance to speed in front of Yang, scaring her just to tell her the same thing. As Ruby continued to express her curiosity about the book, Aomine was with Marinette.

Aomine was surprised to hear what Marinette had asked to talk to him about. "Akashi? What's up? What's going on with him?"

"His dual personality. Do you know about it?"

"Dual personality? Hold on a second what do you mean by that?"

"I'll take that as a no."

"Yeah. You're gonna have to explain this one to me."

Marinette(Storm Kings):

"So, if Aomine doesn't know about this. And Kise doesn't. Is Haizaki even aware of it? What about Kuroko? Unfortunately we won't get the answer to that last one because he quit. Mayuzumi's another one. He did play with him in high school after all. I wonder what he knows about all this?"

Marinette started to explain to him what she was told about Akashi from Adrien and Luz.

"Hmm... might make some sense. Akashi's never been the type of guy you could say was fun. Yeah, he'd go to parties and hang out and talk, but you'd never hear the hear guy crack a joke, get up and do Karaoke to pal around and make people laugh or anything like that. But with how he was since we split up, there was definitely a change. I can say what I want about how boring the guy is or whatever but skills aside, he really did care about us. Like a second mom. I don't know when, but eventually, all that just stopped. Don't know when though. I guess I kinda ignored it 'cause we were winning. Among other things." Aomine said before yawning and stretching. "Well, do ya need anything else?"

"No. You should get some rest. And I should too. Thank you."

"No problem. And if it's fine with you, I'll help you out and let you know if something's up. He's my friend too."

"Thanks. I'd really appreciate that."

Aomine(Storm Kings):

"It's the least I can do. Look, I know it doesn't seem that way since we don't interact too much with each other but we're still friends. After we split and went to our own teams things just weren't the same. Which I guess on one hand we're not over-reliant on each other to do things. Hence why we're not signed up as a group like some of these other guys are. And why we're content being on different teams. All of us bein' here is a coincidence. As for what I meant about this being the least I could do, I still feel like if I hadn't lost that passion to train things might have ended up differently. After all, I was the first one that stopped coming to practice out of all of us. I know there's nothing I can do to change what I did in the past. But I can do something about today."

Even if it wasn't for the entire time, I wanted to at least show a bit of Akko vs Luz in terms of a magic battle. Sophie vs Lucy was a bonus however.

For anyone wondering, I am using Season 1 Sophie here. I haven't seen season 2 or read the comics yet and I don't want to be spoiled, even with the research.

Next episode we go to the Blue Lock Facility in Japan where Ego will run the show. Even though this isn't a classic challenge, this will still be a double elimination, so things will be tight for whoever plays, including Blue Lock's own three players participating.
