A/N: Episode 3 of TD news has arrived! Hope you enjoy this bonus chapter!
Reviews:
I've seen the reviews you guys have posted and will address them in the next actual episode, since there's always the chance the bonus chapters can get overlooked/skipped by those that only care for the actual episodes themselves.
Several people were seen on a video call with Julie hosting the session.
"Hey, hey everyone! Welcome to the third edition of Total Drama News with your hosts Julie-" Julie started.
"-Dewey,"
"Riley,"
",And Huey,"
"And for today's episode, you may notice things look a little different." Dewey said.
"That's right, this one's a full video call! Featuring Chris, Chef and Doyle!" Huey exclaimed.
"Sup guys!" Chris said.
"How's it goin'?" Chef said.
"Nice to be here. I'll be honest, I don't know how you guys do this, so don't expect me to be a chatterbox here. At least initially." Doyle said.
"Though unfortunately, with that being the case, we won't be able to get everyone here, whether it's due to them being busy with other things or the context of their world since some of their worlds don't have the technology for it. Hence why there's a shorter amount of faces here than usual." Huey said.
"Yeah, Heloise already made it clear beforehand she's not doing this." Chris said. "Moreso because she doesn't feel like being bombarded with questions at the moment."
"But with those caveats out of the way, let's begin the headlines so far up to this point in the season! And then, we've got some questions for the main crew of Total Drama, along with maybe one or two others. First up, the burning flames of love and passion ignite! Setting sail a new romantic couple! The two you ask? Kagami and Rei!"
"Both known for their outward, hotheaded, and passionate personalities, it didn't take them long for them to butt heads with one another, with their conflict really rearing its ugly head in the first elimination challenge in East Side City!" Julie began to explain.
"And it only continued from there, many of them, to the annoyance of much of the cast, turning into shouting matches. You could say it wasn't until the Halloween town challenge when the two were forced to work with each other that the conflict died down, with the two really starting to get an understanding of one another there and especially the cooking challenge. But detective Riley has the contrary! As a matter of fact, hints of their romantic feelings for one another started in the aforementioned first challenge!" Riley said.
"Uh, why the heck are you talking in the third person?" Todd asked, on another screen. "And since when were you a detective? If anything, I'm the detective around here."
"What the heck are you talking about?"
"You know what I'm talking about. That party remember? And you couldn't figure out who started the mystery and broke the cat when it was me the whole time!"
"But how does that prove you're a detective when you started the crime!"
"And how does a romance mean you're a detective?"
"Come on guys, this is supposed to be fun. Please stop arguing." Julie implored.
"He started it for talking out of turn!" Riley said.
"Talking out of turn? This is a video call, not school, which means I reserve my right as part of the free world-"
"Country. Some parts of the world are not free." Sophie corrected.
"Whatever! Look, I can talk whenever I want and you can't legally stop me!"
"What does legality have to-" Sophie waves it off before she said something rude that she'd regret later. "Never mind."
"I mean, he's not wrong. But I'm starting to think we might need a moderator if this keeps up." Mr. Wolf said.
"It shouldn't be that hard to act civil with people." Karin said.
"They're 12. What do you expect?" Diana said.
"Actually, I'm not." Todd said.
"My apologies."
"Yeah, get it right lady! I'm actually older!"
"What? No he's not!" Riley said.
"You have no refutable proof to say otherwise! And if we do get mods, can I get mod just once so I can ban people for blatantly lying? Starting with my sister?"
"How about we ban you first?" Riley remarked.
"What was that? I bet you won't say it to my face!" Todd shot back.
"You act as if we're not rooms away."
"Whatever!"
"Is that what you're going to say every time you get countered on something you can't respond back to?" Randy asked.
"What? No!"
Randy raised both of his hands. "Hey, I'm just sayin'."
"We're not banning anyone! Can we please get back on topic here?" Akko asked.
"Please." Rei added.
"The only reason you want to go back is because this is about you and Kagami." Aomine remarked.
"That's not the full reason! It's mostly because of the fact that this shouldn't have been derailed in the first place."
"Right. Anyways, what exactly do you have to prove that what you propose is true?" Huey asked.
"Simple!" Riley showed a picture of Kagami blushing after Rei hugged him and jokingly proposed the idea of kissing him after winning their team their first taste of first class.
"Why couldn't you just have played the clip from the episode? It's been recorded already." Louie asked.
"Copyright." Riley answered.
"Ah. Yeah that makes sense."
"Any thoughts on this you two?" Riley asked.
"Well to be honest, other than the fact that I was just caught off guard at her saying something like that at the time, not really." Kagami said.
"But did you have to blush at the proposal? Even if it was a joke?"
"Look, what was I supposed to do? Why are you guys overanalyzing this!? Who the hell was thinking about this back then?"
"If I'm being honest, it really wasn't something I thought about either. I actually kinda forgot that happened. It's an interesting detail though. I'll definitely give you credit for spotting that." Rei added.
"Moving on, compared to Emma and Noah and Heather and Alejandro, you two have yet to be in a challenge together since you got together. Any thoughts?" Julie asked.
"Huh. Well, all I can say is I think I'll enjoy it when it does happen. But it doesn't change anything when it comes to how I'll work with the rest of the team. I want to help them win first and foremost. None of that romance stuff matters if it gets in the way of the game." Kagami said.
"Right. His passion is the reason why I grew to respect him so much. And of course, the other things that I learned about him that makes me like him so much. But we both came here to win. I can't get on my teammates about things if I don't try myself." Rei added.
"Well, at least we know you two won't turn into Bridgette and Geoff during Action." Noah commented.
"Yeah. As easy as it was to get those two out, in hindsight, it was kind of disappointing. Even if they were still eliminated early, they could have done so much more together. At least make it seem as if they'd be a challenge or threat and maybe get eliminated that way. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it." Heather said.
"Nah. Respectfully, they could have been more than just the two that did nothing but kiss the entire time." Chef said.
"But what's wrong with showing a little love? I think it's bold for them to express that in front of everyone without caring about what others think. A lot of people say love is gross, but I think it's the greatest thing ever. At least when it's healthy and makes sense." Akko said.
"Okay, but you can also do that without being annoying." Heather said.
"You wouldn't want people to say what you and Alejandro have is annoying do you? You're just being mean!"
"Why am I even on the verge of arguing with a person that clearly doesn't even know the context? Next question!"
"Hey! You can't just brush me off like that! Who do you think you are!?"
"The person that won World Tour and was robbed of the money that's who. I can and I will brush you off."
"You're lucky I can't reach through this screen right now!"
"Yeah, you haven't given me any reason to be afraid of you when you have no magic when you're in the game."
Akko grit her teeth in annoyance. "We'll see."
"One final question. If there was the case that you'd have to go against one another, would you have plans to share the money regardless?" Dewey asked.
"Crap, I didn't even think about that. But yeah sure, I don't mind." Kagami said.
"Wait, a second, you mean that thought never crossed your mind not once?" Rei asked, surprised.
"No."
Rei sighed and shook her head.
"Look, I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to leave you out of it."
"I didn't think you were. But please start using your brain more."
"And that's all the questions we have for you today. Thank you!" Julie said.
"No problem." Kagami said.
"You're welcome!" Rei said.
"And that brings us to our next headline. One that was a complete season changer." Huey said.
"Mansion destroyed! Season put on ice!" Julie said. "In the talent show, things were off to a very entertaining hitch, with many of the competitors showing off their talents, and by extension, their hobbies and interests to the entire multiverse!"
"Though it was one talent in particular that changed things. Not just for the challenge, but for their team and the season going forward, Shiro's. His talent, which involved trick racing with his Scan2Go machine was received poorly by the judges. And his stoic personality didn't exactly help matters either. Nor was Chris' actions afterwards, which was allowing Shiro to continue with his talent, not to allow him to express his interests, but for the chance to see him embarrass himself on TV." Riley explained. "Something that Shiro took exception to, revealing to everyone his true form and freezing the entire island in the process along with destroying the mansion. Hence why we're here in our own homes now until the next challenge. And in the aftermath, Shawn was also injured, forcing he and Jasmine to have to leave the season."
"Wow. Way to say that like the guy you're talking about isn't literally here." Chris said.
"I mean, we're expressing our opinion. Not like you've had a real big problem with all the several other times we've criticized you." Riley said.
"True, but still, the gall to do that after I got invited here by you guys is incredible, besides, compared to what others have dealt with in other seasons, this is tame." Chris said.
"Okay, VR or not, I need you to name me one season where someone was asked to push back the moon just to have a chance to win a challenge, or something similar or of equal challenge as that." Noah said.
"You expect me to know that off the top of my head? I don't."
"Even so, let's not act like this season has been that tame. The only thing that hasn't happened yet, surprisingly, is someone actually dying. Knock on wood that that doesn't happen though." Rex said.
"Not really. Most of the people here can take the punishment I think. It's the regular guys that are probably at risk the most though." Doyle said. "But anyways, why exactly are you guys mentioning this again? I think we've already expressed our thoughts about this."
"Some of it is more for the viewers at home for context. But we're asking this more for the aftermath of it. What have you guys been doing between each of these periods? And would you rather this or go back to staying on the island?" Huey asked.
"Can anyone just say something out loud or do we have to raise our hand?" Marinette asked.
"'Raise our hand'? This isn't school ya dork." Todd said.
"Well excuse me for actually being considerate."
"Anyone can start speaking up. Everyone else, just try not to talk over people when they do." Huey said.
"Okay, well, I guess I can start. To be honest, I haven't really changed much of my routine. And as for where I'd prefer to stay, definitely in my own home. The pros outweigh any cons, where the only con would be any plans I have be disrupted because of a challenge. So I can say that I haven't exactly been able to plan anything really big because of the show. And besides, after what we've had to stay in, why the heck would I want to go back to that again?"
"Other than the routine, does anyone here actually want to go back to living in that? Feel like you'd get a 404 if you did a search." Toxsa said.
"404? What's that? Some kind of secret code?" Johnny asked.
"No, that just means when something's not found. It's for web pages." Huey explained.
"Oh. Wait a second I thought you could find anything on the internet? I've been lied to!"
"Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing! The more you know." Zee said.
"Who told you- you know what? Never mind." Reagan said.
"As long as I get to get and play whatever games I want, that's enough for me." Zak M. said.
"Wow. Publicly admitting to piracy." Ben said.
"Which mind you is not legal." Rook added.
"Tell that to all of the people that preserved things companies can't afford or don't even bother to preserve. I don't really care about some of those old things but at least I understand it's history." Reagan said.
"That and, some people just don't have that kind of money." Morty said. "But to answer you guys' questions, not really and absolutely not. We still go on adventures sometimes but that's about it."
"Where is Rick anyway?" Dewey asked.
"He's busy. Plus, he didn't really feel like he needed to come and talk."
Everyone, that attended anyway, gave resounding 'no's to staying at the mansion again. Though the answers to their routines varied.
"Next are some general questions now. The first one is for Chris. What exactly made you want to pick those particular people for the previous Supervillain Lockdown episode?" Riley asked.
"I could have went out and tried to find some original guys that many of you haven't seen before, but that would have been way too much unnecessary work to do that. Other than the villains that I brought back, using the footage of who you've mentioned in this season, along with taking a look at some of your known adventures, at least the ones we had access to, that's how I made the picks. Abbey was really the only exception honestly. Oh yeah and Beni too. She wanted to enter but was already too late. But when she said she knew Toxsa, this was a good alternative."
"And of course, the ones that I deemed to be potentially threatening to the season, I made sure to either exclude or figure out a way, with the footage used, to make it VR. Hence why many of these battles are similarly done to what you've already faced before. Such as the Ryu battle. The sun phase and the transformation phase were straight out of the Championship Gran Prix." Chris explained.
"And Vilius?" Toxsa asked.
"The combination thing at the end is from another universe." Chris said. "Heck, even some of the phases in some of the Decepticons are taken straight from the game. And some of the dialogue. Some things were just added or changed around to still make it feel fresh. I just looked at some of the footage to see if they were cool enough to be here. Doyle, Heloise and some of the smaller names in the networking crew like the creative director, along with the Maverick Hunters, Cody and Starlee did the heavy lifting when it came to designing how things would work, hence why I kept saying I don't know when people asked 'what was going on' or 'why would you do that or add that'. Because I actually didn't. Even the Cromulons thing wasn't my idea."
"Huh. Chris actually giving credit? Color me shocked." Fiona said.
"One final question for you Chris. With there being 20 episodes in the books, you've already decided to really push the boundaries and show your crazy side by have 90+ competitors compete at one time and have them compete in places from across the multiverse on top of there being three teams. With three teams appearing again for the first time since World Tour. And you went even further by having so many cameos. What made you want to really go all out with this season like this?" Julie asked.
"It was really the success of the reboot season and the first Multiverse season. I took a good look at everything we've done so far in the previous seasons and decided, why not bring all of that together? It was something that was dabbled with in Multiverse Edition with incorporating both the Island and the film lot. Heck, even some of the challenges in All-Stars were inspired by challenges from previous seasons. So I took some of the aspects that were well-received from previous seasons and brought them back here. From the musicals, to travelling, to even the special guests." Chris began to explain.
"As for why there's so many guests, even with a season like this, not everyone's going to get in if they sign up. This is a good way for them to still play some type of role even if it's minor. I can't promise everyone's going to get that opportunity. That's just not realistic. But still, it's a heck of a lot of fun to see the guys that do get some time. And besides, there aren't that many that'll say to no to money, training, fame, and/or the chance to just have fun or beat up on someone they don't like. And plus, from the general audience consensus, it seems to be well-received." He finished.
"And are some of these rejected picks from the network, or were these rejected fan picks? Or a mixture of both like before?" Julie asked.
"Bit of both. Deadpool though? He definitely wasn't a fan pick. He's asked me and the network to give him some type of role for some challenges. But to my annoyance, he'll come by whenever at times."
"So if he wanted this much of a role, why not ask to be an intern?" Doyle asked.
"I asked him, he said no. Felt like it'd take too much of his freedom of appearing whenever he wants. And plus, he'd rather not take the opportunity from someone else. Although, come to think of it, I haven't heard anything from him in a while since that whole thing with uh... what season did he say he was excited for again in that dance challenge? I forgot."
"Kinda glad he's not. Feel like he'd get more annoying than he already is at times." Emma said.
"I don't know man. He seems pretty fun to me." Zee said.
"Personally, you guys give him too much of a hard time. One of the few people on the show I can say just really wants to have fun. Ain't nothin' wrong with that." Chef said.
"For me, I just wish he'd make sense. By that I mean sometimes, I have no idea what he's talking about." Reagan said. "But other than that, he's far from being the most annoying person I've ever met."
"It's his fourth-wall breaking isn't it?" Becky B. guessed.
"I guess? I don't know."
"More than likely, that's probably what it is for you guys."
"Now let's move on to the next question. This one being for Doyle." Huey said.
"Ask away. I'm a mostly open book." Doyle said.
"Never heard that one before." Reagan said.
"But it's realistic. And honest. At least for me anyway. Lot of people have things they still like to keep close to their chest no matter how much they say they're an 'open book'. And I'm one of those people."
"You know what? That makes sense." Adrien said, headphones in as he was busy doing something else while on the call.
"Honesty. A good start already. So, first question, how different is being an intern compared to being a real contestant?" Huey asked.
"Wouldn't say there's a crazy difference, but there definitely is one. Even though technically, my actual designation is 'hired gun'."
"Yeah, no one has ever called you that here." Louie said.
"I know. Kinda sucks, but hey, what can you do? Besides, it's not as if me not being called that makes what I do any more or less fun to do. But to add on to that answer, compared to when I competed, I didn't have that care about the supplies and whatnot that Chris brought for some of his challenges, the driving from place to place, challenge prep, things like that. It was more of just, what was the next challenge going to be, and if we were actually going to get good food. Now, I'm one of the people doing that work. Which I mean is okay. I'm not gonna sit here and act like it's some super-complicated or hard or job with a lot of labor. It's really not. At least for me it isn't. It may not be for everyone so I can't speak for others."
"And was that ease what made you want to take the job? Or was it something else?" Julie asked.
"Really and truly, I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back for another season to compete. But it was the role that I'd play that made me take the job. If it wasn't for the fact that I got to play a role in some of these challenges, I wasn't going to worry about coming back."
"So money wasn't a factor at all? I don't believe that for a second." Louie said skeptically.
"Well of course it was. I wasn't about to do this for free or dirt cheap. But at the same time it wasn't the biggest factor either."
"Well, what do you think of it so far? Was it everything you hoped it'd be?" Dewey asked.
"Yes and no. I wasn't expecting to play some of these roles in these challenges or to not play a role in some of them, but it's still fun. Driving monster trucks was definitely one of the things not on my list."
"Backwards. Don't forget that." Scott reminded him.
"That too."
"One more question. What do you think of your fellow intern Heloise?" Riley asked. "We would have asked her some of these same questions, but unfortunately, she's not here."
"She's pretty chill. Yeah she's smarter than me, but I at least like the fact that she isn't one of those people that tries to rub that fact in to me or anyone else 24/7. I can't say I like working with those type of people in the slightest."
"So, Rick basically." Todd said.
"Nah. It would seem like he fits the bill but he doesn't. At least not for me. And it's for sure not Noah either. Not even in the season we were in. You'll have to see it. It's hard for me to explain without exaggerating it."
"Next up is Chef. We only have one question for you today. Compared to before where you've always just been well, the chef, you're now considered as a co-host as of the rebooted season. How does it feel to be in this role now?" Julie asked.
"Pretty good. I don't have to worry about doin' all the labor that Chris made me do before like fix stuff when it was broken. That problem? Heh, that's on the interns! Although I was kinda hopin' I'd play a bigger role as co-host this season. But so far, the stuff he has asked me to do has been a decent substitute. Besides the last challenge. I got sent through a roof man! That hurt!" Chef answered.
"Well, at the very least, you're fine now." Chris said.
"I know but still!"
"Now to cap things off, we've got some questions for the rest of you all now. Those these, like the rest, are more personal to you individually rather general ones like favorite hobbies or favorite foods." Riley said. "Let's start things off with something that I'm sure Chris will be thrilled to hear."
"I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. But this might be interesting. Go on ahead." Chris said.
"I feel like she was being sarcastic." Chef said. "By that I mean you would thrilled, but she doesn't like the fact that you'd be thrilled."
"Yeah, I figured as much."
"Budding rivalries!" Riley finished.
"Ohhhh! I see where this is going. Continue."
"First up, how about one between two magic users that actually have very similar capabilities, Sophie and Lucy!" Dewey announced.
"Please, this is not a rivalry. And if Lucy were here, she'd tell you herself." Sophie said, waving off the claims.
"Look, I don't really mind the back and forth, since it can really get fun, but I can't say I'm a fan of talkin' behind someone's back." Kagami said.
"Yeah, thinking about it now, this really only works if both parties are here for reaction and/or rebuttal. So, what are we supposed to do now?" Huey asked.
"Hmm... you're right about that. I guess we could skip over any pairs that are absent." Riley proposed.
"Okay, what about Diana and Kageyama?"
"I don't really see that as a rivalry honestly. They got into it like once and then squashed it pretty quick." Hailey said.
"Yeah. If anything, they've been pretty friendly with one another." Scott added.
"Not to mention Kageyama's not even here."
"Personally, he's a respectable adversary. And I mean that in the utmost respectful way possible. After what I've said to him before, he had every right to not give me constructive criticism when we played volleyball together. But he didn't. I want to make sure I pay it forward to him. Somehow." Diana said.
"Wait, you two played volleyball together?" Akko asked before trying to hold in her laughter.
"What's so funny?"
"Sorry, it's just hard to imagine you doing something like that."
"And why not?"
"I don't know. It's just... okay, I think I'll stop there."
"Honestly, I don't understand the big deal. So what if I'm playing it? Am I only supposed to be restricted to magic-based activities?"
"Well of course not, but... can we please move on?"
"Yes. Please."
"Okay, how about Hiruma and Miyuki?" Riley asked.
"They're both not here. As a matter of fact, their teammates aren't either." Julie said.
"Okay look is any pair other than Kagami and Aomine here?" Huey asked, now wanting to get straight to the point. And from the looks of things, none of them were.
"Anyone?"
"Doesn't look like it." Zee said. "Man that's tough. You caught a lot of people on a pretty busy day looks like."
"Or they just didn't wanna show up. I know damn well Murasakibara doesn't give a crap about this. He doesn't even look like he even wants to be in the season. Surprised Kise isn't here since he eats this type of stuff up, learning about people." Aomine said. "Hell, I probably shouldn't have shown up either. Satsuki all but made me do it."
"Hey, the big guy's pretty chill. He and Diego are like two people I just can't see getting upset about stuff. But hey, food makes anyone happy. I know it does for me." Zee said before eating a chocolate bar.
"Yeah, that is true. I could go for a burger right about now. Where's Kise or Satsuki when you need 'em?"
"You could have just said no?" Rex proposed to Aomine.
"Look, it's... complicated. I couldn't tell her no."
"Everyone says that and it's almost always not as complicated as they make it out to be." Louie said.
"Still not gonna make me talk about it. Besides, I was half hopin' for something interesting. And man, disappointed doesn't even describe how I'm feeling right now."
Not long afterwards, he got lost in his thoughts about a burger to the point that he started drooling.
Just then, two more faces appeared, with their introductions causing him to jump and suck in the drool instantly.
"You okay? It's like your brain crashed for a second there." Randy said to him.
"The heck are you talkin' about? 'Course I'm fine. Oh sh*t, well there he-" Aomine starts, thinking the new addition was Kise, but sees that it wasn't them, but rather Jenny and Ruby Gillman. "Never mind. Man, he's really not coming to this? He must really be busy with something."
"Like you, right?" Kagami said sarcastically.
"Man shut up."
"You're only saying that because I called you out!"
"I'm also saying it 'cause I don't wanna hear your annoying, loud a*s voice. Rei, tell your boyfriend to stop yellin'."
"How about both of you stop it?" Rei said.
"Second time guys. A third and I really think we should think about moderation." Mr. Wolf said.
"I'm starting to think we picked a bad time to join." Jenny whispered to Ruby.
"Yeah." Ruby agreed.
"Look, let's just skip to the next question. And fittingly, this next one's for you, Jenny." Huey said.
"For me? Okay, well, ask away." Jenny said, a little surprised, but more than welcoming any question sent her way.
"We understood the reason why you got upset in the fighting challenge at the World Martial Arts Tournament. But you did it again and burnt Mandy to a crisp. Mind you, she was a major player in Multiverse Edition, reaching the top six. Can you share the details of what she said that made you so upset?"
"Oh that. Well, I'd rather not get too much into the details since this is a bit of a spoiler for some other seasons but, the gist of it was her telling me about myself in other seasons. A bit of an overreaction on my part reflecting on it honestly." Jenny said.
"I mean, we've spoiled how some other people have done so it should be okay." Chris said.
"But that's different. For Carmelita, Sly specifically asked if she won. And I think Doyle's spoiler of... I think it was Mae dying if I recall, was an accident too." Jenny said.
"So in other words, she gave you spoilers." Chef guessed.
"Pretty much."
"Considering you literally turned her into ash, I'm just gonna assume you didn't do well." Doyle said.
"Man, that girl is evil." Chef commented.
"For... spoiling something? Not really." Louie said.
"You get invested into a show and get spoiled on it and then see how it feels! I bet you'll be singin' a different tune!" Chef said.
"I'm guessing you got spoiled on something. But it's still not evil."
"But it's rude." Ruby Gillman said.
"I wouldn't consider it rude. More, inconsiderate. If the person doesn't explicitly say they don't mind." Becky B. said.
"I'll take inconsiderate. But evil? Come on, you guys don't know what evil means." Louie said.
"He would. He's the 'evil brother' after all." Dewey said.
"Triplet." Louie corrected. "And yes! I mean... no! I don't!"
"Your version of evil probably isn't evil either." Mr. Wolf said.
"We'll see. We'll see." Louie said before rubbing his hands and performing an evil laugh as the lights suddenly went out on three screens.
"Louie turn the lights back on!" Huey called out.
"Great job. You ruined it."
"Maybe not do that while in the same room?" Zak M. proposed.
"If I get mod, I definitely know the people I'm kicking first."
"The day you get mod for this is the day you actually get further me or Dewey." Huey said.
"With how you've been, you're not gonna last much longer yourself." Fiona commented.
"Great. Now the bad memories are coming back."
"Bad memories? Dude, that was literally three days ago." Aomine commented.
"Aomine! Come on man!" Dewey said.
"What?"
He could tell that several people were frowning at specifically him on the screen. He sighed. "Damn it. Look I'm sorry. That... actually did sound like I was downplaying that when I wasn't really trying to. Especially since I haven't exactly been doing spectacular myself."
"Apology accepted. Somewhat."
"Somewhat? What do you-" Aomine started before stopping himself. "Then what can I do to make you accept it fully?"
"Hmm... I'll come back to that. But anyways, next question. This one's for... you actually." Huey said, looking at his list.
"Huh. Okay."
"You were transformed in the battle against Ryu in the last challenge. Was this because of that 'Animal Instinct' that's been mentioned before?"
"Huh. Someone talked about that? 'Cause I sure as heck don't remember anyone mentioning it." Aomine said.
"Haizaki brought it up if I recall. Or someone mentioning it about him."
"Oh. Well, probably, I guess. When Ryu talked about releasing that inside, that's probably exactly what it was. Didn't think it'd actually make me a black panther but yeah. And before anyone asks, no I can't actually do that."
"And was that skill you showed in fighting due to those instincts, or did Weiss' training play a role?" Julie asked.
"Uh... probably a bit of both? I gotta admit, as uptight as she is, it's been workin'. That's really the best thing I could do really. Incorporate what I've learned with my actual instincts. And just refine those instincts for combat like I do basketball. I think Sendo said it already but street fighting and actual combat, even if its boxing, is a completely different animal. And now I got a question for you Julie?"
Julie blinked with surprise. "For me? Okay, ask away!"
"How the heck did you get that good in the beginning of that last challenge like that?"
"Oh no, I'm no fighter if that's what you're thinking. But I'm very involved in athletics and things like that. Wasn't really that hard to slice and run." Julie said before laughing.
"Well, you're already looking to be in better shape than Dan it seems. Kuso, not the Dan here." Marinette commented.
"Huh. You know what? A random thought just came to me. Does anyone here remember Alex?" Doyle asked.
"Nope." Todd said.
"Don't know who that is." Adrien said.
"You mean the girl from Multiverse Edition, right?" Chef asked.
"Yep, that's her. I can't put my finger on it, but I don't know why Julie reminds me of her." Doyle said.
"Is it the voice? 'Cause I think that's gotta be what it is."
"Now that you mention it..."
"Do I really sound like her? I never noticed." Julie said. "Anyways, second to last question. This one for Fiona actually."
"This doesn't involve the rest of Team JET does it?" Fiona asked.
"Nope. This one's exclusively for you!"
"Okay. What is it?"
"You and Noelle seem to have had quite the exchanges between one another since she's arrived on the island. Wh-" Riley started before Fiona cut her off.
"Look, I don't know if this is to start more drama or conflict between us, but to be honest, as much as she annoys me, she's not as bad as our arguments make it out to be. It's just the fact that she always has to act perfect that gets on my nerves so much! Like come on, I can see straight through that stupid act she does. But other than that, I really do like her a lot. Competitive, but not a complete jerk either. Even if she is royalty, she doesn't use that as a crutch to be lazy. And expects the people she competes with to carry their load too. Obviously not now since there's no mansion, but I see her off to herself most of the time. A lot like Diana is. But she's off to herself practicing. I never talked to her during those times because I didn't want to disturb her. But her actions speak for themselves. I really respect her a lot. The same way that I respect Rei for passion. Because I have that same passion when it comes to Scan2Go racing."
"And it's the biggest reason why I just can't respect Hebina fully. And why I couldn't stand Titi at first either. Hebina's not all bad, honest. She's shown she can care for other people when it matters most. When we battled Ryu, if it wasn't for her making a self-sacrifice, we probably would have been toast from that micro-black hole bomb that he shot out. But it's her cheating that annoys me since she's shown she can hold her own and actually win races without it. And for Titi, it was the fact that she thought she could just casually do Scan2Go Racing as a little 'side-hobby' alongside being an idol that rubbed me the wrong way. Until she showed me her passion too."
"All in all, I just really respect her for her strength. But it's when she puts on that little miss perfect facade that rubs me the wrong way."
"Wow. You must really respect her if you said all that. I'm assuming you'll relay the message?" Mr. Wolf asked.
"Yeah. But let me do it in my own way. It won't come off as genuine or the way I want it to if I don't do it myself."
"Judging from what I've seen from you so far, it makes perfect sense why you wouldn't want anyone else to do it. I can respect it."
"We actually had a similar question for Kaz with his relationship with Eijun, Asta and Hinata. As they really seem to be a passionate group. Especially the first three. But unfortunately, he's not here. And neither are the others." Riley said.
"Huh. No wonder why it was so quiet in here." Fiona joked.
"Not really. Kagami's here." Aomine remarked.
"Just keep talkin'. I'll remember all that when I beat your a*s in the next challenge we're in together." Kagami said.
"I'm not seeing anything else on my list here. At least for people that are here. We had some things for Yulaw and his surprising interest and metal and potentially gaming, Jotaro's incredible challenge performances. A question for the remaining members of the Generation of Miracles and Kagami, Mayuzumi's rather quiet season, the source behind Ryoma Echizen's unwavering confidence, Reimu and Becky Farrah's overlooked friendship, and Isagi, Bachira and Kunigami's opinions on the changes between a Total Drama season and Blue Lock. Wow that was a mouthful." Huey said.
"But unfortunately, all of those people aren't here. And I really was hoping to hear their answers to this. Even the rivalry ones looked pretty fun too." Dewey added.
"Hopefully, we'll be able to get them on the next episode. But until then, we'll stop it here." Julie said.
"Hopefully, things will be a lot more in order when we do this again." Riley said.
"Moderation. That suggestion still stands." Mr. Wolf said.
"We'll see. But we can't exactly moderate someone here turning off the lights!" Huey said as his, Dewey's and Louie's screens were going black and back on occasionally.
"Sorry. Couldn't resist." Louie said.
"This has been Episode 3 of Total Drama News! Thank you for watching and we'll see you next time!" Julie, Dewey, Huey and Riley all announced before ending the call and the recording for the episode.
A/N: And that's Episode 3 of Total Drama News! Next up is Episode 21 of the season! See you there!
