Absently staring out the window Scott impatiently released a slow breath. "And no one decided to tell me as soon as they left?"
"Well if it makes you feel any better darling, the others went to retrieve them right after." Emma seductively walked over to him and draped her arms over his broad back before he swiftly removed it and stepped further away. "Warren had planned to head that that way for a business meeting anyways."
"I still don't like it." He firmly responded.
"Of course you wouldn't Scott, that's what makes you a great leader and I've always liked that about you." She smiled bluntly giving him a once over. "Always have." She hummed as she teasingly raised her hands up his chest. "Or don't you remember how much fun we use to have when we first came here so long ago before my departure."
Grabbing her wrist, he stopped her before she could go any further. "That was a long time ago Emma and we were young."
Snapping her mouth shut she was unable to do much but force a strained smile. "Before Jean you mean."
Releasing her wrist, he walked around her to leave the kitchen until she spoke up again.
"I'd had hoped that me being here would give us time to talk Scott. Perhaps catch up on old times but…" she reluctantly sighs. "The more I think about it the more I've come to realize you've been avoiding me…why is that?"
Parting his mouth to respond he was swiftly interrupted when Hank waltzed in.
"Oh um pardon my intrusion…" he awkwardly looked from one to the other before clearing his throat.
"Not at all Hank, what is it?"
"The professor has returned although…with some unusual news might I dare say."
The uneasy tone in Hank's voice didn't go unnoticed and it made Scott wary of what news he was referring to. So many things have been going on lately that he wasn't sure they needed any more surprises to be honest. "Hank?"
"I erm suggest you brace yourself Scott." He carefully worded, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder as they walked over to the professor's office.
Furrowing his brows he saw Hank stop behind him as soon as his hand landed on the doorknob, but when he looked at Emma who was now standing next to Hank she didn't look as thrilled.
"I think you should see for yourself." Hank gently ushering him forward.
Carefully opening the door, it only took him one step inside to instantly freeze him in his tracks. The waves of flaming red hair was always one of the first things to gain attention along with her striking beauty.
As soon as she met his eyes, every moment shared between them flashed through his mind. "Jean…?"
"Hi Scott." She hesitantly smiled watching the man she's loved her whole life nearly come apart in front of her again.
"How…?" he breathed out ignoring the tears already falling down his cheeks.
Opening her mouth, she hesitated enough to glance at the man who brought her home again.
"I'm afraid there's much we need to discuss Scott." The professor's delicate voice forced him to acknowledge the others in the room as he wheeled himself beside her.

On the way back to the blackbird no one was brave enough to say a word— well except for Remy who was forced to walk a few feet behind everyone with an overly pissed off Logan.
After they had left the hotel and Ororo made sure to pay poor Billy for any damages done and profusely apologizing on all of their behalf, they came across Jubilee and Warren who volunteered to help make arrangements to get Scott's car back to the mansion in one piece before he had other business to attend to.
Yet Rogue was pretty sure she hadn't seen Logan blinking even once since the hotel and as for Bobby…
Glancing next to her she could see her boyfriend's eyes cold and fixated forward as he remained holding her hand. She wanted to explain to him what had happened, but he hadn't so much as uttered a single word to her.
She supposed in a way she deserved that since finding your girlfriend in a room with another man wouldn't sit well with anyone.
Logan on the other hand continued to mutter under his breath trying his damn hardest to keep his claws in check, otherwise Ororo who was currently leading the group back to the Blackbird wouldn't hesitate to unleash hers.
Stepping onto the jet Remy nearly lost his footing when Logan gave him another hard shove forward and he had to shot the man another hard glare. "Have I told you how much I've missed you?"
"Rest assured the feelings not mutual." Logan narrowed his eyes. "Now keep moving Gumbo."
He wasn't sure why he was on the nasty end of Logan's wrath right now, because it wasn't even as if they were caught doing anything bad—not for the lack of trying anyway since Remy was pretty convinced that Logan couldn't have picked a better moment than to screw up what may have been his one chance with Rogue.
So in Remy's mind if anyone should be mad it should be him.
"Sit down." Logan growled before brushing past him, completely ignoring him when Remy opened his mouth to protest.
"Relax." Jubilee comfortingly patted Remy on the back when he sat himself down next to her. "Wolvie won't do anything horribly immoral to you."
"Wolvie…?" Hearing that nickname momentarily stopped any previous thoughts he had on the man possibly castrating him slip to the back of his mind. Until his smile slowly faded upon hearing the familiar SNIKT as Logan retracted his claws making the Cajun jolt upwards in his seat and audibly gulp at the thought of what Logan might do to one of his most precious parts.
"Well…at least I hope not?" Jubilee uneasily grinned now feeling bad for the guy.
"Never hold a promise you can't keep Jubilee." Logan shot Remy one last look before walking to the front.
Strapping himself in the seat next to Ororo who was already gearing up the blackbird, Logan let out a tired sigh, already exhausted just thinking of how long this trip would take them.
Smiling Remy had to force himself not to laugh since everyone including him knew of the man's fear of flying.
"Something funny?" Logan raised a questioning brow.
"Just thinkin' 'bout a yo-yo is all." Remy gave a small smile before trying to hide it. "Finally got rid of dat fear of flyin' Monsieur claws?" he knowingly grinned as he watched the man tightly grip the sides of his seat as soon as it moved an inch. "Or perhaps not."
"Shut up." Logan shot him a warning glare when he saw Remy's smug smile. "And what are you smiling about?"
When his eyes drifted to Rogue who was now strapping herself in next to Bobby, Remy's smile somewhat faltered as he tried to mask it by looking away. "Nothin' mon ami…nothin' at all."
"Everyone ready?" Ororo asked trying to hide her own amusement when she saw the mean Wolverine shudder next to her.
"No…" Logan let his eyes flick from Remy who's sitting next to Jubilee, but his eyes remain glued to Rogue who's sitting next to an angry Bobby as the pair remained silently staring forward. "Well, this is going to be one fucked up flight home."
-X-
When they finally landed, and they were able to exit the jet it seemed that that's when all hell broke loose. Did Ororo think otherwise? Of course not that would be insane— which was precisely the reason she was mentally preparing herself during the whole flight back home when not one word was spoken between anyone much to poor Jubilee's boredom.
"What the hell were you thinking kid?!" Logan growled as they stepped out of the elevator, and roughly made Remy face him.
"Hey Logan I was only doin' what you would have done." Remy argued.
"I wouldn't do something so reckless like that." Logan angrily spat back but frowned when everyone stopped what they were doing in the hall to stare back at him. "What? Any of you want extra training sessions?"
That seemed to do the trick when they all scurried away.
"Wait, so technically this was all your fault…?" Jubilee thoughtfully hummed as she tapped her chin.
"Jubes…" Rogue shook her head as her and Bobby walked past them. "Not now."
"What?" she raised her hands not understanding the reason for all this hostility. "I just don' t get what the big deal is. So what she took a few days off just to go on a fun road trip alone with a single guy who is hot as hell and shared a room with— ooh ok I'm going to shut up now." She quickly retreated.
"Is it really necessary to have this conversation here?" Ororo sternly asked making sure to keep her voice low the whole time.
"Yes!"
"No." Both Logan and Remy answered in unison before glaring at each other.
"Did he try anything?" Logan directed his question to Rogue next as he continued looking at him accusingly. "Because if he did-"
Hesitantly meeting Remy's eyes for the first time since the hotel Rogue quickly looked away. "No Logan he didn't." she admitted thankful when she saw Logan ease up a little.
Shaking his head Bobby quickly was the next to leave without so much as a word which didn't sit well with Rogue as she made to follow after him. "Bobby."
"Come on. I'm sure the professor would like to know what happened." Ororo said heading in the direction of his office.
"You heard her, we got a date with the headmaster." Logan aggravatingly growled before following close behind but stopped when he began sniffing the air as a familiar scent began invading his senses.
"Bobby! Bobby wait!" Grabbing him by the arm was enough to make the blond boy whirl around on her with the hurt evident in his eyes. "It wasn't what you think."
"Oh yeah that's why I happen to find my girlfriend in the honeymoon suit Rogue." He whispered harshly. "Seriously?"
"It was the only one they had." She regretfully repeated the same thing Remy had and felt guiltier and guiltier as the seconds passed by. "Bobby-"
"I mean how sure can you be that he didn't make you go with him?" he angrily frowned.
"What?"
"He has another power Rogue." He sternly raised his brows. "He has the power to make you do things he wants. He was manipulating you this whole time."
"He wouldn't do that." She argued, knowing that she only had Remy's word to take on that. "As a matter of fact, he was a perfect gentleman the whole time. He even offered to sleep on the floor for goodness' sake."
"I seriously doubt he didn't try anything." Bobby bitterly smiled. "And if he did-"
"Bobby stop. This is ridiculous." Rogue cut in. Sure there were a few times when she thought there might have been something between them but couldn't think about it right now. "Nothing happened."
"You sure about that? Because this is Remy we're talking about Rogue. Any other girl would-"
"Sleep with him is that it?" she angrily frowned. "How could you even think that?"
"Well look the hell around Rogue!" Bobby bit back, stepping closer just as the others walked past them to head over to the professor's office. "Since he's been here there hasn't been one day where he hasn't tried to get into a girls' pants, and you mixed that in with his powers-"
"Wait Bobby you really think I'd just throw myself at him or anyone else for that matter?!" she angrily fired back; any previous composure now gone. "Just because everyone else does doesn't mean I will." She responded now pushing past him. "I thought you knew me better than that."
"That's not what I-Rogue wait! Rogue!" Bobby watched her stomp towards Jubilee before his eyes zeroed in further down the hall.

Hearing raised voices only made the tense air in the room shift to the closed door.
"What's that?" Jean stiffened as she uneasy shifted on her feet.
"That would be our student's…" The professor tiredly sighs before he heard another angry voice next. "And Logan."
"I'm guessing they're back now." Hank embarrassingly glanced down after removing his glasses and the noises only became louder.
"You think?" Emma raised a curious brow. "Makes you kind of wonder what we missed…"
"Not really…" Scott pinched the bridge of his nose counting down the seconds before they were forced to find out for themselves.
-X-
"Could everyone try and keep their voices down?" Ororo tried to hush everyone as her eyes flicked over to Rogue and Jubilee who were still a few feet behind. "Great, where's Logan?" Ororo unamused expression looked past Remy shoulders where she had last seen the man.
Honestly having to keep an eye on everyone including Logan was more than a chore for anyone to have.
"Perhaps de little boys' room-" Wincing Remy never got to finish his sentence when he felt himself harshly shoved back against one of the nearby lockers with piercing blue eyes staring back at him.
"Bobby!" Ororo's eyes widened in shock when she saw her student's furious gaze glued to Remy's expectant ones.
"Easy now homme I get why you're mad, but nothin' happened."
"Nothing happened?! So you're telling me you didn't make MY girlfriend go with you?!"
"I didn't make her do anythin'." Having had enough, Remy pushed him right back.
"Remy!" Ororo tried to get them to stop.
"You ever t'ink dat maybe she wanted to go with me Iceman?" he taunted.
"You know, I knew you were bad news from the second you showed up here." Bobby's lips curled in disgust. "But now I know I was right."
"Not this again." Rogue shared a look with Jubilee before they quicky ran to catch up.
"You know how's 'bout instead of findin' someone else to blame fo' all your mistakes an' not knowin' how to give de fille de attention she deserves, you start gettin' you priorities right an' stop findin' it somewhere else."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Bobby frowned, balling his hands into an ice-like fist.
"If you actually trusted de fille like you say you do den why not actually do it." Flicking his gaze down, Remy dangerously narrowed his eyes before meeting Bobby's cold ones.
"You expect me to believe that she would willingly go with you?" Bobby scoffed, not wanting to believe that Remy's powers had no hand in this. "Rogue wouldn't do that."
"Believe what you want." Remy's gaze bounced over Bobby's shoulder where he could see Rogue and Jubilee quickly approaching. "Maybe you don' know her as well as you think you do because if you did den you would understand why she left in de first place."
It all happened so fast that Rogue barely managed to reach them in time to see Bobby raise his fist right as Logan pushed his way through the growing crowd of students.
"Hey hey hey knock it off!" Logan jumped in between them, knocking both boys back a few steps.
"Just stay away from her." Bobby angrily raised his finger before walking over to Rogue who demanded to know what the hell happened.
"Shows over." Logan shouted giving everyone a threatening look. "Now get back to class. All of you!"
"I can't believe this." Ororo disappointingly stared from one face to the other.
"You're telling me." Logan huffed doing the same. "And if either of you wanna hash it out in the danger Room I'd be more than willing to volunteer! Just say the damn word." He furiously raised his voice making both boys avert their gaze.
"We will talk about this later." Ororo sternly said stopping only to keep her eyes a minute longer on Remy before they heard a deep voice from behind awkwardly clearing their throat.
"So, you're back…"
"Yes. Yes we are." Ororo gave a tired sigh as she turned to greet her colleague and one of her dear friends. "Everything fine while we were away Hank?"
"Depending on your definition of fine." Hank raised his brows as the door behind him creaked open to allow the professor to come out.
"Professor?" She surprisingly whispered. "When did you get back?"
"Better question is where did you go?" Logan frowned along with the others when the man still didn't respond and instead contemplated his next words very carefully.
"I believe it's best if you all see for yourselves." The professor moved aside to allow another figure to emerge next to him.
"Hey Logan." Jean half smiled when everyone's eyes widened in pure shock.
"Jean…?"
The collective gasps that suddenly washed over those who had known her for so long quickly disappeared into nothingness because all Logan could see at the moment was her.
Jean.
The air remained thick with heavy emotions as their lips remained open to questions nobody knew how to begin asking. How do you even begin to process someone you thought dead twice, was now standing in front of you again?
Looking around with great confusion Remy eyes drifted from Logan's stunt expression to Storms watery eyes before he couldn't take all this weird tension in the air anymore. "Who?"
