A/N: Ben VS Rex! All for the right to stay in the game! Nothing more to say other than let's get into it!
Chris was seen in front of the camera, with Ben and Rook and Rex and Bobo standing on the left and right sides of him respectively. Every other contestant was seen sitting in bleachers.
"Last time on Total Drama Across the Multiverse! The teams' next challenge was a stay home challenge. By 'stay home' I mean no travelling. The challenge specifically being a battle in exosuits, prototypes of the ones used in the Crucible challenges. Fun fact, this was supposed to be the basis of one of the final challenges in the last multiversal season. At least until Ego called."
Footage of Chris explaining the challenge and how it was originally a challenge for Multiverse Edition was shown.
"But, with it being shelved, we had time to change things up a bit this season. In this case, the weapons are a little different rather than it just being green slime guns like we originally planned. And, the locations would be in different simulated areas from across the multiverse. The conditions to win were simple, get 40 knockouts or have the most within ten minutes. But, gonna tell you right now, all of the games were decided by the former."
Footage of all of the games was shown.
"With how chaotic and fast-paced the games were, getting to 40 was a lot easier than I expected to be honest. As for who won, it was the Breakers again. And the losers? The Kings. Which brings us to the elimination. With yet another day of us having to use the voting devices due to someone digging a hole in the confessional. Why anyone would do that is beyond me. But, I'm sure that's not what you care about. It's who got eliminated. And that was no one! Because, it turns out, there was a tie in voting. Between Ben and Rex, forcing a tiebreaker."
Footage of the elimination ceremony, revealing there to have been a tie in votes was shown.
"A tiebreaker that is today! One will win and live to fight another day for the prize money. One will go home. Stay tuned for this special coverage of this tiebreaker, right here, right now! On Total….Drama…..Across the Multiverse!"

Various(Will be shown in parenthesis after each game title)
The camera view wasn't any different compared to what was seen in the recap.
"Alright you four, I don't have to explain why you guys are here today. But, I do have to explain what you'll be doing today for your tiebreaker challenge. You all will be tasked to do a series of games. Some of which are tailored to your interests. Some, not so much. The ones that aren't, we've tried to make sure are pretty neutral so that you'll both have a chance. This will be first to 4. So, whichever pair can win four games wins the tiebreaker and is safe from elimination." Chris explained.
"Yeah, I don't see this workin' out." Bobo said.
"Why not? Seems pretty fair to me." Rex said.
"For you two, yeah. But for me and boy scout over there, nope."
"Um, I think you are confusing me with Huey." Rook said.
"See what I mean? It's like comparin' soda with water."
"Let me guess, you're the soda, he's the water." Ben guessed.
"Precisely."
"But water is healthier than soda. Would you not be technically putting yourself lower than me?" Rook reasoned.
"No! I mean soda has flavor, water doesn't!" Bobo replied.
"Water is still better for you than soda though." Chef countered.
"I already said what I meant!"
"No, no, I think you were right with the first comparison. You did say you were a bad influence on Rex. Meanwhile, it's the exact opposite for Rook with Ben." Doyle said from the bleachers.
"Can we get to the challenge already? And how do you know that?"
"Uh, internet?"
Bobo only looked at him with a face that said he knew that reason was bogus.
"It's fine Doyle. We're already at the challenge anyway, so you're not really spoiling anything. Now, the first game will involve exclusively Rex and Ben. And that game is Tower Defense!"
"Tower Defense huh? Alright Chris, what's the catch? Because I refuse to think it's that easy. Or…. maybe it is." Rex said.
"That easy? Uh, no one said I'd make this a cakewalk for you. That's why they call it a challenge."
"Come on Chris, stop messing around. You know what he meant." Ben said.
"Yeah, yeah I know. You're wondering about if you can use your powers. Simple answer: Yes. Your brainpower!"
"Really Chris?"
"Hey, brainpower is a thing." Bobo said.
"Exactly." Chris said. "But uh, that's it. You can't use your builds, aliens, etcetera. This is all on you two. I'm sure you can handle it though. According to Gwen, Ben here actually does pretty well in school. He just doesn't work up to his potential and could be even better. And Rex, he gets tutored by Holiday. And with documented proof of very good grades in that same high school that he himself said he was banned from. A grades to be specific."
"Yeah, you definitely asked them about us didn't you?" Ben asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yes. I did."
"Makes you wonder what else he's asked that he's not tellin' us." Bobo said.
"Do you think this was so he could see exactly who he was inviting on the show? Just to make sure we were safe to have? A la background check." Rook reasoned.
"Background checks?" Chris and Courtney said simultaneously before laughing. "No."
They then looked at each other awkwardly, with Chris turning towards her to do so.
"Yeah, let's never do that again." Courtney said.
"Agreed." Chris said before turning back to the four. "Anyways, you may be wondering where the towers are. They're here, on Wawanakwa. And Pahkitew Island respectively. Which is where you'll be going for this particular game." Chris said, with him getting a tablet from Chef to show exactly what he's talking about. Two sturdy towers were shown. One on each island. "Your job is to protect these towers with everything you've got. That's it. How, you may be wondering? With the different weapons, traps and defenses you'll be provided. You'll have a certain amount of money to get these items. The higher the price, the better quality the item will be. You'll both start off with $100 dollars. And the only way you can earn any type of money is by defeating enemies, selling what you already have, which will give you less money than what you spent to buy it because it's used, or getting a certain amount of cash after each wave. So you might want to use it wisely. How you use it, I don't really care. But I do care about who goes down first. If you can outlast your opponent in waves survived, you'll win the first round." Chris explained.
"Now, to make things easier for you so that you don't have to worry about going back and forth, you'll just be able to manage things with the touch of a button from here." Chris continued, pointing to the tablet he had in his hand. "Obviously it'll be on tablets given to you, not this one. Your defenses will be brought in and ready to go, placed where you want and how you want them as you see fit. Think of this as like a mobile game of sorts."
"So in other words, we've got time to prepare our defenses during each wave intermission. And once that intermission's over, that's when we brace for attack." Rex inferred.
"Precisely. Once that intermission's over, you'll be locked off from making any further changes. And don't worry, the defenses will be manned for you too, so you don't have to worry about that either. Only thing you'll be using for this game is your brain. And your hands so you can tap the defenses, obviously. That's it. Any questions?"
"I don't have any. I think I've got the idea down." Ben said.
"Same here. This'll be a piece of cake. At least somewhat on the early rounds." Rex said.
"We'll see. Since neither of you have any questions, we can get started! Chef, hand them their tablets. Ben, you're on Wawanakwa. Rex, you're on Pahkitew. Good luck gentlemen!"
***Confessional***
Ben(Storm Kings):
"Gonna be honest, this was not the game I was expecting when he said no fighting. But, not gonna complain. Pretty interesting that this was never an actual team challenge. It's perfect! The only thing you'd need to change is how the defenses are manned and boom, there's a good challenge for the day right there."
***End Confessional***
***Confessional***
Rex(Storm Kings):
"Tower defense huh? With only a hundred bucks? Balancing the money you spend with decent defenses is going to be the toughest part about all of this. This challenge seems simple, but there's a lot of micromanaging going on too. That's what makes it challenging. See Chris? When you're not focused on people not liking each other or trying to hurt people, etcetera, you could come up with some great challenges. And no, I'm not counting some of the interdimensional challenges. Because many of those weren't his idea."
***End Confessional***
Game 1: Tower Defense(Inspired by the Spongebob Invasion of the Patty Snatchers Nick Online Flash Game. This literally popped up into my head randomly and made me think "this is a good challenge idea" lol)
On each island, the two looked at the options that they had in the menus. There were options for defenses, repairs and selling items. The current wave was also seen on the bottom right corner of the screen, indicating that it was Wave 1. Right above the wave number was how much time until the next attack, which said 2:00 for 2 minutes.
"Any takers on who you think will win?" Natsu asked.
"Dunno. It all depends on who manages their money the best. I fully expect Chris to throw some bulls[censored] their way too to make sure things aren't too easy for them." Hiruma answered.
"On the first level? I don't think so. They're just starting out." Axl said.
"It's always going to be easy on the first level. It's the first level. It's every level after that that's going to be a challenge." Yang said to him.
"Exactly. I expect the real game to start at around three or five." Toxsa said.
"To be honest, this game could go either way. But, separating them from each other was smart. That stops them from copying the same ideas from one another and just making adjustments or improvements that the other didn't think of. Now, they have to completely think for themselves." Albedo said.
"Level one… I want to start off with something easy and cheap but, that's money that I don't have later. Hmm….." Ben thought aloud, looking through the different options for defenses. At There were only five weapons: Standard catapults($10) and crossbows($20) to the more expensive bomb launchers($40), flamethrower($30) and tracking rocket launcher($50) came out of a turn-able silver lion head. The bomb launcher and flamethrower were great as ground weapons while the crossbow was great as an anti-air option. The catapult and rocket launcher were great for both ground and anti-air.
"Looks like Ben's still thinking things over, taking his time. While Rex already has things figured out. Those things being to just use a couple of catapults it seems and nothing more as he looks like he's just relaxing now. Good thing we decided to put those chairs there huh?" Chris commentated as Rex was now relaxing in the beach chair that was left in the area where he was.
Eventually, Ben decided to make his choices, using a couple of catapults and a flamethrower and leaving him with $50, compared to Rex's $80. The defenses for both were teleported in at the exact spots that each wanted them placed. All of the catapults that two used would launch boulders.
About ten seconds later, the first attack wave began. The first attack wave was a few generic drones with seemingly no extra surprises to them other than the fact that that they were standard grunt units that would only attack the towers with direct melee attacks.
Both of their defenses were more than enough to get rid of the robots, each robot defeated giving them $5. With there being 20 robots, both were able to get $100 back along with a bonus of $10 for completing wave 1.
Wave 1 Complete!
Ben's Cash: $160
Rex's Cash: $190
Wave 2 Starts in: 2:00
"And both pass the first wave with flying colors! Pretty easy huh?" Chris commented.
"Well of course it's easy. It's the first level. That doesn't really count to be honest." Zak said.
"If it doesn't count, why did they just get money then? It counts. Don't care how easy you think it is."
"To be fair, all you had to do was make sure you at least put up something and you'd pass."
"And if you didn't, or if you didn't put up something good enough, then it's game over. So it counts. Besides, you people act there isn't a chance some of you won't die on the tutorial."
"Please, no one's that…. Oh." Randy thought before seeing Kageyama out the corner of his eye.
Rex's only changes was adding two more catapults. While Ben only upgraded one of the catapults to level two out of five. When it was upgraded, it was changed to launch flaming boulders rather than normal ones. The upgrade costed an $20.
Ben Cash Remaining: $140
Rex Cash Remaining: $170
Seemingly less grunts were seen, but that didn't make things easier as now air units were seen. These air units being robotic eagles that had bombs in their claws to drop down onto the tower whenever they got close enough to do so. But none of them would get that chance as they were all destroyed, meeting the same fate as the additional ground units.
There were about 8 ground units and 6 air units on each side. The eagles giving $10 instead of $5 like the ground units were. Wave 2 gave a $15 bonus.
Wave 2 Complete!
Ben's Cash: $255
Rex's Cash: $285
Wave 3 Starts in: 2:00
"Here we go. Wave three. Both of them have saved a good bit of money so they should have enough to beat this one pretty easy too." Ruby commented.
"Question, if you were doing this, how would you handle this?" Weiss asked her.
"Well, the same way they are. Play it safe and save your money in the easier rounds. Blowing most or all of your money right out of the gate is a beginner mistake. And a mistake that'll make you lose earlier than you probably should simply because you just don't have the money to properly prepare good enough defenses."
"Do you think you'd be able to win with just low-level defenses?"
"Maybe? It all depends on what you're going up against. I'm sure someone could figure out a way to do it. After all, there are people good enough to beat games with starter items only."
"Why would you do that though? That just makes things extremely difficult." Aomine said.
"That's what makes it such an achievement. The challenge."
"I guess. I just don't see the point honestly. Just use what you've got to your advantage and make this as easy as a win as possible."
"Sounds like speedrunners are what you're looking for." Toxsa said to him.
"Speedrunning takes a lot of skill and understanding of the game too. So I don't think so." Ruby countered.
"If he's a noob, maybe not I guess."
Focusing things back on the status of the third wave, Ben opted to upgrade the second catapult and add another flamethrower, while Rex upgraded all of the catapults he had to level two without adding any additional units, with them spending $50 and $80 respectively.
There were more enemies than both of the previous waves combined. But the differences was, there were way less standard grunts, only 3 to be specific, more eagles, and two completely new enemies: A larger brute robot with a mace and gladiator-like armor and a quicker ninja-like unit, each with a Katana in hand. And unlike the other ground enemies, they ran quickly.
Even with the fire boulders leaving a burning effect on the brute robots, one hit was able to take them down. But the flamethrowers were able to turn them into ash on Ben's side. And on Rex's side, it was a case of strength in numbers with the extra catapults, taking out the brutes with a combined assault. Unfortunately for him, one of the ninja units was able to get through and slightly damage his tower before it was taken out. Brutes awarded $25 while ninjas gave $20. In total there were 40 enemies. Three ground grunts, four brutes, four ninjas and the rest were eagles.
Wave 3 Complete!
Ben's Cash: $705
Rex's Cash: $705
Rex's Tower Status: 95% remaining
Wave 4 Starts in: 1:30
"Who would have thought that after their different ways of approaching the game, they'd have the same amount? And both are doing well might I add. Just goes to show that there's different ways of tackling problems sometimes. Although, it seems Ben's is more effective as his tower still remains untouched going into the fourth wave." Chris commented.
"Even so, five percent isn't that bad." Adrien said.
"But that five percent means everything. Every percentage is important in something like this." Hiruma said to him.
"Of course. Still though, at the very least, I think this'll make him realize that he needs to make adjustments to what he's doing."
"And he'll have to do it quickly. They sneakily removed 30 seconds for prep." Sena said.
"That's not really sneaky. I'm sure they can see it. And if you're talking about us, it's on the screen." Becky said to him.
"Oh. I guess you're right on that." Sena said before laughing a little.
"Okay. I got the option to repair, but I won't do it just yet. Repairing for just 5% is a waste of 80 bucks. But, maybe I'll make a couple of upgrades. And get an extra weapon or two." Rex thought, looking at the options that he had available to him with the money that he had.
He decided to upgrade every single one of his catapults to level 3 out of five, with each upgrade costing $40 each. And he bought a rocket launcher. All in all costing him $210. Meanwhile, Ben decided to upgrade both of his catapults all the way to level 5, with the level 4 upgrade costing him $80 each and the final level five upgrade costing him $160 each, totaling $480. The max upgraded catapult would launch enlarged pie bombs.
"I fully expect five, if not four to have some surprises. I'll just go ahead and get a rocket launcher now and then just use the next wave as a resting period for my money. I may take some damage, but a little bit is better than a lot from running out of money. I should be well over 200 after the rounds end." Ben thought before buying the rocket launcher, increasing the amount spent this round for him to $530.
Ben's Cash Remaining: $175
Rex's Cash Remaining: $495
When wave four started, there were no grunt units to speak of. But there were a lot more brutes and a couple of eagles with seemingly slightly larger bombs. The ninjas also seemingly had different weapons than just swords. Some of them could use smoke bombs and some had ninja stars. To the surprise of Ben and Rex, a ninja and two eagles respectively, targeted and destroyed a couple of their defenses. The ninja jumped to dodge the moving flames and sliced the flamethrower in half, while the eagles dropped its bomb prematurely before a rocket launcher was destroyed. When one of Rex's turrets was destroyed, he inferred that the early release was completely intentional.
Thankfully for both, neither of their towers took any damage, though in the case of Ben's there was a close call as one of the brutes was close to getting through before it was blasted into smithereens by a rocket. Completing wave four awarded a $20 bonus.
Wave Four Complete!
Ben's Cash Remaining: $700
Rex's Cash Remaining: $1020
Defenses Destroyed: Flamethrower(Ben), Rocket Launcher(Rex)
Rex Tower Health: 95% Remaining
Wave 5 begins in: 1:00
"Where'd you get pie bombs from?" Rally asked Chris.
"Some pirate crew from Bikini Bottom." Chris answered.
"Why would anyone make….. never mind."
The rounds continued, with things getting even tougher each round. Some of their defenses getting destroyed forced them to consider spending money on replacing defenses on selling the ones they already had for replacements or upgrades before they got destroyed.
The other issue was repairs. As both of them found out, repair price doubled with each repair as during the seventh wave, Rex chose to make repairs at about 70% remaining and Ben chose to make repairs on the next wave, when he had around 55% remaining. Both of the repairs fixed their towers with the equivalent to 20% in repairs each. But, for that same percentage, the price doubled. Not to mention that they wouldn't be able to do any further repairs until 3 waves passed.
Even with all of that, they were still able to hold the fort and last for several waves of attacks. Wave 19 was where things started to get critically dire for both.
Wave 19
Ben's Cash: $150
Rex's Cash: $580
Rex Tower Health: 39%
Ben Tower Health: 58%
Both sides were unable to afford repairs as the repair cost had far exceeded what any of them had. And in Ben's case, he had to sell some of his stronger weapons just to even afford a repair himself, which was why he was so low on money.
Ben had a level 5 flamethrower, which was basically a turret gun that would spew out two streams of flames, along with a few level four catapults and a level 2 bomb launcher.
Rex had a level 5 rocket launcher, which would send out a swarm of rockets, five level five catapults and two level 3 crossbows.
"Wave 19! Bring those enemies in baby!" Chris exclaimed as a whole army of enemies of numerous types, including ones that weren't previously mentioned, came in to storm the towers.
"I know I might take some damage, but I know Rex has got to be reeling too. Whatever's left I'll just try to upgrade a bit and just get rocket launchers. All I need to do is hold the line." Ben thought as his defenses began to unload on the horde.
The same rang true for Rex and his defenses.
"It's a good thing we don't have to go on the islands yet." Chris commented.
"In other words, you don't really care about the islands getting damaged since you can just get them fixed before we get there." Huey inferred.
"Precisely. You really thought I'd do this and we're like a few eliminations away? Absolutely not."
"Did you at least think about the animals that were there? What about all of them? I understand making challenges there obviously, but this has to be disturbing them." Diego said.
"Not really."
"I'm not even gonna ask if you meant the first thing I said or the second."
"Good. Glad you're not."
Focusing things back on the game, the defenses continued to put up their best effort in holding back the enemies. But even with that effort, some still broke through.
Rex's tower was reduced to ten percent before the swarm rockets destroyed all of the enemies threatening to land the finishing blows on it. Meanwhile, another one of Ben's catapults was destroyed as a bomb annihilated another large group of enemies. As for his tower, his had 35% remaining.
"Rex is done. He just doesn't have enough health left to take any more hits." Aomine said.
"I don't think so." Mayuzumi said.
"Dude, look at the heath. Even-"
Loud crumbling was heard, causing him to look back at the screen.
Both Rex and Ben flew away to safely get away from their towers crumbling down.
"That's it folks! The game is over! Rex wins it!" Chris announced.
"How? Both of them went down at the same time!" Kaz pointed out.
"Actually, Ben's went down first. A bomb got through and hit the tower, causing it to crumble. Rex's defenses were able to hold them off just enough to last a few seconds longer, even if the ones that hit his tower did more damage in their attacks overall.
"Wow. Unbelievable." Ben said, looking at the tablet after switching back to normal, indicating that Rex won the round.
Both of them returned back to ATM Island when portals opened on each respective island.
"So uh, sorry about the tablet. Kinda forgot about it, and left it to get smashed by the debris." Rex apologized to Chris.
"Don't worry about it. Believe it or not, that isn't the most expensive thing that you guys have been involved in destroying. The most important thing is that you won the round!" Chris said to him.
"Wait, I did?"
"Yeah, you did."
"He's right. Proof's right here." Ben said, showing Rex the tablet screen.
"Wow. I'm not gonna lie, I was sweating bullets at around the 15th wave."
"15th? I was worried on the tenth."
"Tenth? What did you do, waste all your money?"
"No! I started saving and being more conservative and wondered if I spent enough. Then I started to get more aggressive at around the 13th. I had to literally sell some of my defenses just to make sure I had enough for repairs."
"I tried being conservative from the beginning so I had extra money for the more difficult rounds. That might have been enough to save me. How much money did you have left this wave?"
Current Score(First to 4 games wins):
Rex: 1
Ben: 0
"Okay you two, that's enough. I don't wanna hear you two talking about strategies the whole day. We've got other stuff we need to do. Now, let's move on to the next game." Chris said. "This one being for Rook and Bobo."
"Bring it on Chris. Whatever this guy can do, I can too. Twice as good." Bobo declared.
"A bold declaration. We shall if your actions live up to your words." Rook said to him.
"Good, good. Nice to know you're both raring to go. Now, the game you two will play is….. Battle of the Lullabys!"
"Excuse me?" Both Rook and Bobo said simultaneously, both being genuinely confused.
"Yeah, you heard me right. For this, you both are going to sing a lullaby. Since a part of this season has been music-themed, why not throw in a singing based challenge into this tiebreaker? You'll be taskedto try to sing a baby to sleep. Or at the very least, calm them down. The one that does this first wins the game. And no, do not get any ideas of trying to knock them out. You have to sing them to sleep. Originally, we were going to do the song that Lotte sung, but, when I asked her about it prior, she humbly declined."
"Sorry again. I really hope you understand." Lotte said to him.
"All good. This is why you make backup plans."
"Okay, but where are you gonna get the babies from?" Bobo asked.
"Easy!"
Seeing this as her signal, Heloise, who also appeared along with them, blasted both Launch and Noelle with the laser pistol she had in her hand.
"Hey, what gives? Why'd you blast our teammates!?" Kaz asked.
"Just chose you at random. Looked at one of you and said, 'I'll blast them'." Heloise said, shrugging.
"Do one of you mind bringing them down? Thanks." Chris said.
Asta was the one to do it, being the closest to both, with Noelle in particular crying when he tried to let her go and give her to Bobo after giving Launch to Rook, trying to stay by grabbing and trying to hold on to his face.
"Look, I can't say I really understand this either, but you'll probably be turned back once this is over okay?" Asta said to her. Even with hearing that she refused to let go, pulling on his cheek now. "Noelle, you have to let go!" Even though he would gently push her hands away, she would put them back on her face again. After about the second time of him doing this, he was able to finally give her to Bobo. "Please get her to stop crying."
"That's the plan." Bobo said to him before she cried even louder when he was started to go back to the bleachers, loud enough to the point that Bobo was grimacing in pain from it. "Jeez kid, you got one heck of a voicebox!" He looked over at how calm Launch was with Rook. "Hey, can we switch?"
"I am not sure if that is even allowed." Rook replied.
"Well, no one said it isn-" Bobo started before getting kicked in the face by Noelle. "Ow! I didn't even do anything to you!"
"Hmm, Noelle's fine. But, we're gonna have to do something about Launch. I got it!" Chris said, immediately coming up with an idea. "Quick, someone hand me a feather or something."
"Not a feather, but it's good enough." Standing up and extending her tail, Tangle rubbed it by Launch's nose, knowing exactly what Chris had in mind. After a few seconds she sneezed.
"Alright, great! Now we can start!" As he said this, Rook was starting to get attacked by the baby Launch.
"I think she was fine the way she was Chris!" Rook said, trying to fend off the attacking baby.
"Not for this game she wasn't. Anyways, let's get started!"
Game 2: Battle of the Lullabys(The concept of this game was completely my idea. But the idea of some of the contestants being babies was inspired by something random that G-Man 2.0 said a while back completely unrelated to this lol)
"So, what exactly….. are we supposed to sing?" Rook said, still trying to fend off Launch with her somehow pulling out a small toy water pistol and shooting it at him.
"Where did she even get a pistol from?" Bobo asked before being hit by water himself by Noelle with a smaller wand.
"Something that's supposed to put them to sleep, duh." Chris answered.
"Can't believe I'm doin' this…." Bobo said before sighing and clearing his throat before being whacked in the face by her wand directly.
Bobo:
Rock a bye baby, on the tree top,
When the wind blows the cradle will rock.
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall-
He couldn't even finish the song before he was hit again, with her clearly not being affected at all.
Meanwhile, Rook wasn't exactly having much success either, despite him attempting to gently take any of the toy weapons she had had from her.
"I do not understand. Why is this not working?" Rook said.
"Well, I mean you have the voice. Just uh, not the song." Ben said.
"What do you mean?"
"And it's the exact opposite for you buddy." Rex said to Bobo.
"Your partners can't help you with this. So if either of them say anything else to you, that's it. You're disqualified." Chris said. "If this was how it was when the other two did, it's gonna be the same way here too. And nobody else say anything to them either. You do, there will be consequences."
"Well, to be fair, they couldn't help because they weren't on the islands." Chef reasoned.
"That's the point. If I was okay with them helping I would have allowed them to go to the islands too. But I didn't."
"Oh. Gotcha."
"We're gonna be here a while if you don't figure this out." Chris said to the two. "Just to let you know."
"This shouldn't have even been a game in the first place! It's stupid!" Bobo said to him before being kicked in the face multiple times. "You better be lucky you're a baby right now." He said to Noelle, pointing at her.
" 'I don't have the song'. What could that even mean?" Rook thought. "What I sung was an old Revonnah nursery rhyme. That should be soothing to anyone! Unless….."
Go to sleep, go to sleep,
Hush my baby don't weep,
In your dreams, may you fly,
High up into the sky.
Even with Bobo trying to make his voice as soothing as possible, it wasn't doing him any good as Noelle continued to attack him.
"Ah forget this! Asta, come get her back! Now!" Bobo said, his irritation preparing to turn into full-blown anger. Meanwhile, the exact opposite was true for Noelle, who started to change her tune when she heard this. "Ah ha! So, hearin' about Asta cheers you up, huh?"
Rook:
Rock a bye baby, on the tree top,
When the wind blows the cradle will rock….
As he continued the nursery rhyme that he heard Bobo singing earlier, he gave her her water gun back and continued to sing through her hitting him with it, which seemed to have been working until she pointed at his Proto-Tool. Though he was initially against it, he reluctantly gave it to her, changing the mode on it to prevent her from hurting herself with it before giving it to her. She laughed before firing it once on accident in the air.
"Okay, I think that looks like enough. Especially considering the hard time that Bobo still seems to be having with…. Whatever he's singing about Asta." Chris said.
"I'm tryin' my best here! You try to come up with a song on the fly about a guy you don't even really know." Bobo said before being hit again.
"Well, I hate to tell you that your best doesn't seem to be enough. Rook wins! And with that, he ties up the game at one apiece." Chris announced.
"You know what? I don't even care. Just get this brat outta my hands!"
Both Launch and Noelle were blasted with the same laser pistol that Heloise shot earlier, turning them back to normal.
"You got three seconds to put me down before I put you down!" Launch warned Rook.
"Right. Of course." Rook said to her, putting her down immediately.
"And here, take ya gun back. Some nice piece o' weaponry. But unfortunately, it ain't mine so….." She tosses it back to him.
And in the case of Bobo, he allowed her to fall, casually dropping her and pretending as if it was an accident.
"You can say whatever you want, but that wasn't an accident." Noelle said to him.
"You know what? You're right, it wasn't. And I'm not even afraid to admit it either. I can't even tell the difference between when you were a baby and now." Bobo said to her. "Actually, I do know one difference. The next time we play, I can actually give you some payback."
"If you even advance. I suggest you worry about trying to do that first and foremost." Noelle said before going back to the bleachers.
"Man, you were really clamoring for Asta huh?" Miyuki teased her.
"That doesn't mean anything! I just wanted to go back, that's all that was!"
Score(First to 4 games wins):
Rook and Ben: 1
Bobo and Rex: 1
"Alright, this next game will involve all four parties this time. You'll need to put your brains together because you'll definitely need it. Ready?"
"As long as it isn't anything like the last game, yeah." Bobo said.
"Oh trust me, it's not. This next game is the impossible quiz! But we'll make it a little more possible here as you and your partner will be able to help each other out rather than trying to do it alone." He explained as booths were being set up.
"A quiz? Interesting. Although, if it's impossible, I am not sure how passing this challenge would work." Akashi said.
"This is the same person that had us play a challenge we weren't supposed to win by the way. Just to refresh your memory." Sophie said.
"I know how it sounds but the game is beatable." Heloise said.
"How do you know? Did you beat it?" Todd asked.
"Nope. Furthest I got was 39 before giving up. And that took multiple tries to get to that point. Decided to look up someone else playing it to see if it actually was beatable and it is. But that- actually, I'll let you see it for yourselves. If you even get there." Heloise said.
"Can you at least tell us how many question it is?" Rex asked.
"Nope. My lips are sealed. Besides, if you have any sort of knowledge on this going in, it's a lot less fun because it ruins the surprise."
"Of course."
"Okay, so here's how this is going to work. I'm going to put both pairs in a booth. That booth will have a computer in it ready for you use with the quiz on it. The booths are noise cancelling so other than maybe the explosions that might happen, you won't be able to hear the opposing pair. You cannot use your abilities or other objects like a weapon, a phone, etcetera to help you for any reason. Doing so will cause you to automatically lose a life." Chris began to explain.
"Which brings me to the game itself. Obviously, you're taking a quiz. And in this quiz, you'll have three strikes, AKA lives. If you get a question wrong you lose a life. If you lose all three it's game over. However, you do have a lifeline other than yourselves. You are allowed to skip a question if it's too difficult. Or if you're just too lazy to answer. But, you only have a limited number of skips as well. And no, you won't start off with any. Getting questions right will award you with a skip. But keep in mind, there are some questions that cannot be skipped. So if you can't figure them out, you're pretty much cooked."
"And by the way, if you think you can just sit at a question and relax until the other pair messes up, that's not gonna happen. There are literally some questions that are timed. If you don't get them right in a certain amount of time, a bomb explodes, and it's automatically game over no matter how many lives you have. And the ones that aren't timed, I decided to time them myself. A minute to be exact. If you don't answer within that minute, you lose a life. Be grateful I didn't decide to make it an automatic game over, because I very well could have. But I won't because I'm not that evil. I took the quiz myself. And I mean it when I say it, it is very difficult. Now, any questions?"
"Yeah. One. Be honest. How far did you get?" Ben asked him.
"28. Didn't want to ruin the surprise of any of the future questions for myself, so I didn't look up anything about it, so when you see some of these questions, if you get far enough, it'll be my first time seeing them too. I may take it again later. Not sure. Anything else?"
"So uh, what if we gotta use the bathroom?" Bobo asked.
"Hmm… darn it! Now I gotta think about how to handle this."
"You could always just take their devices away. Just treat it like a test. If one of them come outside, no talking from any of us either." Weiss proposed.
"Tch, teacher's pet." Yang said.
"That doesn't make me a teacher's pet. I'm just trying to help."
"'Treating it like a test'. I know for sure you were one of those people that would try to be that second teacher." Aomine said.
"Which is exactly what you'll have to find if you keep talking."
"You're…..joking, right?"
"I don't know? Am I?"
"Okay, okay, I'll stop."
"That actually was a joke by the way."
"I hate you." He replied, unable to keep the slight smirk he had off his face.
"And I love you too."
"Mushy exchange aside, that's actually a good idea." Chris said. "So, hand em over. And we'll run a detector over you two just to make sure you don't have anything else."
The four hand over any devices that they had along with their weapons and were checked to make sure they weren't hiding anything else. The obvious exceptions being Rook's armor and Ben's Omnitrix.
"Sorry we've got to go through these lengths but I want to make sure this is as clean as possible. Especially for a game like this. The difficulty is ruined if you cheat. Now, does anyone else have any last questions before we start?"
"Let's say we 'accidentally' break the computer. What then?" Bobo asked.
"Then you lose automatically. Don't even try to pull anything fast like that. Because if you do, like I said, you automatically lose. There's absolutely nothing that you'd possibly have to do that would make you do anything to damage or break it. Anything else?"
"I got nothin'."
No one else gave questions either.
"Okay, then without further ado, enter one of the booths and get started! Good luck!"
Ben and Rook entered the red booth, Rex and Bobo entered the right. Inside both were laptops for them to use with the impossible quiz waiting for them. There were four options, one for them to instantly start the game, another for the instructions, a third for credits and another that was a link to "Slapp-Me-Do's Deviantart"(A/N: This is the creator of The Impossible Quiz game. Because I don't really use deviantart that much, I don't know anything about what's there on his page. All I can say is that the game he made is good lol)
Game 3: Beat The Impossible Quiz(Or at the very least, get as far as you can)
"Alright, let's take a look at the instructions." Ben said, clicking on said button.
"But, Chris already explained them to us." Rook said.
"Yeah, emphasis on Chris. He could have intentionally left something out. What part of having us play a game we weren't supposed to win didn't you get? No offense to you, obviously."
"I guess that is a fair point."
The instructions were pretty much the same as what Chris explained, but a few key details were missing: There were only seven skips that could be earned and some bomb questions were 1 second.
"One second? That is so unfair." Rex said.
Both started the quiz.
Question one was seen with the answer choices being put in four squares, the same way the main menu options were.
1. How Many Holes in A Polo?
Choices:
One
Two
Three
Four
"How many Holes in A Polo. Like Polo Shirts?" Rex said. "Gotta be three, right?"
"Hold your horses there kid. If you pick this, you better be sure you're right. We can't lose a life on the first question." Bobo said. "And by the way, those types of shirts have different styles and different amounts of buttons. So who's to say it's three?"
"We gotta make some choice eventually. Remember the one minute limit."
"I know, I know. I'm just sayin' we need to think this through."
"I am at a loss for what this could possibly mean." Rook said to Ben, stumped.
"This is not good. It's the first question and we're already having trouble." Ben commented.
"A Polo. I don't get it." Reagan said as the spectators could see the questions that they were on on a separate screen as well.
"Marco Polo maybe?" Scott guessed.
"Nah. That doesn't make much sense either."
"This is ridiculous. It's the first question! At least start with something easy to warm you up." Randy said.
"It's called 'The Impossible Game' for a reason. Whoever made this probably thought of that and laughed." Tsukishima said. "But yeah, I do have to agree. I'm stumped too."
Both pairs guessed with Rex being the lucky one to get it right, choosing four while Ben chose one and got it incorrect, losing a life and getting shocked in the process.
"Oh yeah. Completely forgot to mention. You get one wrong, you face the penalty of getting shocked. In most cases. Sometimes the consequences may be different. The second time you get it wrong, it's going to be worse." Chris said.
"Shoot. And the worst part is, we still have to answer it. And I'm not any closer to knowing what it means." Ben said.
"Well, at least we know one of them is the wrong answer." Rook said.
"That would help if it wasn't four choices. And again, if I even had any clue of what they meant at all. I don't. Do you realize there's a chance we could lose on the first question!?" Ben said, hands on his head.,
"I am fully aware Ben. But you must calm yourself. It is too early to panic."
Meanwhile, Rex and Bobo were already on the fourth question.
4. Click The Answer
Choices:
Out of Order
Out of Order
Out of Order
Out of Order
"It's the answer!" Scott exclaimed.
"Huh? That doesn't-" Myron said.
"No no, he's got a point. Think about it, you can't pick any of the answer choices like you could before. Unless the answer isn't any of those choices." Diego said.
"I guess. I still don't really get it."
"That's because you're thinking about this the wrong way pipsqueak. The instructions said how you have to think about some of these questions. Keep all of your options for answers open and think outside the box." Hiruma said.
Thankfully for Ben and Rook, they were starting to make progress as they were able to guess the right answer for the first question.
5. Put the Mouse On Here!
There were no answers, just a button. Rex did as instructed and went to the button. Once he did, the screen changed to blue.
Now, Don't Touch Blue!
A button was seen on the opposite side of the screen that had "Next Question" on it.
"Don't touch blue huh? Just move the mouse off the game and go to the other side." Bobo said to him.
"Good thinking." He does just that and moves on to the next question.
When Ben got to it, he did the same thing, seemingly have found footing after the first question. And now both were on question six where the word "Onion" was under the division radical symbol.
The answer choices were 28, Carrot, Shallots and the Pi symbol.
"Divide an onion!" Both Ben and Rex said simultaneously, choosing Shallots.
"Looks like they're finally in a rhythm. Let's see if they can keep it up." Chris commented.
Answer is Really Big
Choices:
ANSWER
Really Big
Infinity Symbol
An Elephant
"It's not infinity, that's for sure." Rex said. "Too obvious."
"With all of the questions we've had to answer before. I would believe the answer would be "Really Big", right?" Rook reasoned to Ben.
"No. You're not off. But I don't think they'd pull that a second time. It's just too obvious." Ben replied.
"Unless, the obvious answer is the answer." Bobo said to Rex, clicking on "Really Big", which was incorrect and made them lose their first life.
"Okay, from now on, let me handle the answer clicking from now on, alright?" Rex said as picking the wrong answer also caused them to fall behind Ben and Rex now, who were already on the next question. Thankfully for them, it wasn't for that long as Rex chose "An Elephant" and moved on to the next question.
8. Search!
There were no answer choices. And actually, nothing else on the screen other than what was above, the number of lives and the skips they had available, which was still zero.
So both looked around. With Rook literally looking around the booth.
"Really? Now you're overdoing it." Ben said to Rook after finding the answer on the screen, moving the mouse around.
"Do you really think so? I do not. Considering the history of these questions." Rook said.
"Yes. How are the people that make this game going to know where you're playing it?"
"Hmm, I suppose you have a point yet again. My apologies."
9. What was the answer to question 2?
Choices:
That One
That One
That One
This One
Each of the "That One"s pointed to another "That One", with interestingly no arrow pointing to "This One"
"I got it." Ben started, about to click on the same box that Question 2's correct answer was but was stopped by Rook just before he clicked it.
"Wait! The arrows! It is the one on the right. That one points to the one on the bottom left. See?"
"Ah good catch! Thanks. I didn't even think about that."
"It's pitfalls like that that takes one or two lives from you that you probably will need for harder questions. And to be honest, they probably would have gotten me too." Hailey said.
10. Choose Food
Instead of word choices, pictures of the answer choices were shown.
Gloves
Teeth
Eyeball
Chair
Pen
"Choose food!" Several people, including the four participants said simultaneously, knowing the answer.
Both chose the teeth. This question also awarded both pairs their first skip.
"First ten done! Can they get past my number? Heloise's? Let's find out!" Chris commented.
The four continued to answer questions in the quiz, which were just as difficult as the ones previously mentioned. At least from a thinking standpoint. From having to click on the right answer box after the correct answer flashed for what wasn't even a second, to an answer being an MC Hammer reference. In between these slew of questions, Rex made another mistake on question 22, leaving both of them down to their last life.
"They're down to their last life! And they haven't even gotten to the question that I finished at. Now it's a question if they can even get three questions within my record." Chris commented.
"To be fair, with how these questions are, there's a chance you don't even last past the first 10 on a blind run. They should be proud they even got this far." Diego said.
"You know what? I just thought of something. There's no way you got to 28 on your first run. Look at these questions. You had to have taken this multiple times didn't you?" Akko accused him.
"Yep. Three to be exact. Wanted to make sure this was at least 20 questions. That, and to be honest, not even being able to get past the first ten felt embarrassing, so I wanted to try again until I at least got past the 20 question mark." Chris answered. "Got it on the third try."
"They're going to get there. I doubt they're going to get a game over that fast. Either of them." Doyle said.
"Oh yeah, that reminds me, did you ever take this?"
"Nah. But seeing these questions, I'm actually kinda curious how I'd do on my first run."
"Except you're seeing these questions being answered here. That's kinda cheating to be honest." Heloise said. "If you're gonna take it, then don't even watch this."
"Ohhh. Yeah, you're right. I'm gonna see myself out then." He said before giving a two-fingered salute and leaving the island completely, flying off.
About a minute later, both pairs were able to get past question 28, the last question that Chris got to.
"Still no bombs yet. Would have thought they would have came in after the first 10 or 20." Mamori commented.
"It'd be pretty funny if the bomb just came out of nowhere and one of them got a game over instantly. Well…. obviously not for them but, you get my drift." Toxsa said.
Ben was shocked again for getting 29 wrong, leaving him down to his last life.
"How is anyone supposed to know this?" Ben said before being lucky enough to guess and get it right on the second attempt. The question being What Flavour is Cardboard?
Choices:
Honey
Pork Scratchlings
Egg Mayonnaise
Talc
"I suppose you would have to actually taste cardboard." Rook reasoned.
"In before 'Today's challenge is tasting cardboard guys. I got this from the Impossible Quiz, so credit to him for making you do this, not me.'" Adrien joked, trying to make an impression of Chris' voice.
"And then cue Lucy, Courtney,Weiss, Becky, Fiona, Rally or Noelle saying something like 'Really Chris? This is so lazy. You could have done better than this with this budget.'" Kise added.
"Then someone like Toxsa will say something like 'Well, at least it's better than the insane stuff he asks us to do before where someone almost gets killed'." Aomine said.
"Then cue Miyuki or Todd making some smart remark, with the usual suspects complaining instead of ignoring it. Or Kagami or someone yelling and arguing for the dumbest reasons I have ever seen." Tsukishima said.
"Actually, replace Kagami with Rick, Reagan and Bennett as of late and it's perfect." Sucy remarked, initially half-checked out, reading an alchemy book, but now watching the Impossible Quiz. "Also, add Heloise and Doyle saying something and that's literally it because they haven't had much to do as of late."
Old Bennett and Reagan were about to protest, raising a finger, but decided not to.
"You know what? I can't argue with that. Despite this being a bit exaggerated for parodic purposes, there is definitely some truth to this!" Old Bennett said, laughing a little.
"Yeah, alright. In most cases, it's warranted though." Rick said.
"Not really." Sucy said.
"Those two do and say things that I'll openly refute. How is it not warranted?"
"Getting a full-on argument every time is warranted. Okay then."
"Just like you guys making remarks about you two having a thing for each other isn't warranted, right? When it was just played off as a joke at first." Miyuki said to her, referring to Tsukishima said.
"Never made any strong remarks about it either way. At least not as frequently as these three argue."
"She's right. She's had good enough sense to ignore it for the most part and not feed into it. Like you just tried to do. Some of you could take notes." Mayuzumi remarked.
"Whatever mister passive-aggressive." Miyuki said.
"Don't give me any ideas." Chris said to them.
Focusing back on the quiz, Ben and Rook were ahead of Rex and Bobo, on question 39, with the latter pair being on question 37.
"Just pick one already! You're overthinkin' this!" Bobo said to Rex.
"Well blame this game for making these questions! I've been lucky to get some of the others right." Rex replied, hands on his head, still unsure which question to pick.
"Twenty seconds. You got ten seconds or I'm doin' it myself."
"Alright! Alright! I'd rather this be on me than you touch this computer again." He chose one and was able to move on to the next question unscathed.
"I can't figure it out!" Ben said, giving up and deciding to use one of the skips to move to question 40.
Question 40:
Put the Mouse on Here
This question was similar to the last one where this time, they had to find a way to not touch the pink on the screen that showed up after going to the red button. Except this time, there was no path to get to the next question with there being a message at the bottom saying "Hmm…. If Only You Had a Bridge".
"How will you even be able to get past this one? It looks like they covered going off the screen this time." Rook said.
"Easy. Two words, one button. Right click." Ben said before doing just that. Options came up for the game. And using the options as a bridge, he was able to get to the second button, and the next question.
Rex did the same thing as Ben, skipping 39 and going to 40, using the exact same method to get across quickly.
Question 41 was simply just a picture of a duck. But, when they went over certain parts of it, the body parts were highlighted along with the names of them.
"It's the Afro!" Bobo said after Rex idly rolled past the duck's top of the head, not even seeing it.
"The what now?"
"Go back to the top of the duck's head."
He moved the mouse back to the top of the duck's head where the word "Afro" was seen.
"Nice catch!"
On 42, a bunch of 42s were seen on the screen, with the question being "What is the answer to life, the universe and everything?" (Hint: It's 42)
"Hint: It's 42. Real helpful." Young Bennett said sarcastically.
"I think that was the point. To troll." Toxsa said.
"O….kay. Yeah I'm skipping that." Ben said, until he saw that this question could not be skipped. Rex, on the other hand, was able to get it right away, clicking on the 42nd 42 on the screen.
"How'd you know that?" Bobo asked him.
"It's a reference to a book called 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. In it, it says the answer to the-" Rex began to explain until Bobo cut him off.
"Alright, that's great. I didn't need you to go around the world. The next question!"
"If this question is all about 42's, maybe the answer is the 42nd 42." Rook reasoned.
"You know what? That is some great thinking. Let's hope you're right." Ben said before going to it. And he was.
Question 43 was: "Bridget Makes Everyone….."
Choices:
Straight
Bi
Gay
Tom Cruise
"It's Tom Cruise!" Reagan answered.
Unfortunately for her, neither of them got it and skipped the question.
"I don't get it." Morty said to her.
"It's from Bridget Jones's Diary. Tom Cruise played the love interest of a famous "Bridget".
"What year was this movie made?" Dwayne asked.
"1990- something? I can't remember off the top of my head."
"Yeah, that should tell you all you need to know about why pretty much no one here but you got it."
"You have got to be kidding me." Ben and Rex said simultaneously, referring to question 45. Only symbols could be seen for both the question and answer choices.
"Oh yeah. This is definitely a knowledge check type of question." Toxsa said.
"What is it? Because I don't get it." Randy said.
"This is Wingdings font. Each of these symbols translates to actual letters. And of course in this case, is an actual message. The good news for them is there is a right answer. And a rather simple one if you can decode the message. Or know about this font. Unfortunately for them, neither are the case. And they're out of skips." Mayuzumi explained.
"Yep, yep, and yep." Toxsa said.
"So this question could literally decide who wins." Hailey said.
"Interesting. So after all of this, it comes down to guessing the right one out of the four." Chris said. "Who's gonna get it?"
"I just wish this one time, I could be able to cheat. Just this one time!" Ben said aloud.
"Kid, you don't know it. And I don't know it. The best thing you can do is just click one. And whatever happens, happens." Bobo said to Rex.
Fifteen seconds were left for them to pick a question before both got a game over regardless.
Both decided to take the leap and guess.
"Who's got it!?" Chris said as a rocket appeared on the screen. Both of them prepared to take off as a hand with a lighter was seen lighting the strings before a GAME OVER was suddenly seen on both of their screens.
"So….. it's a tie?" Hinata commented.
"Wow." Sucy said, genuinely amazed, though it was still in her usual deadpan voice.
"Well, looks like that's it." Ben said to Rook.
"It was a valiant effort. We have nothing to be ashamed of." Rook said to him.
"You know what? I'm not even mad at you kid. I'm mad at whoever the heck made this game." Bobo said to Rex.
Both pairs came out, already knowing what was about to happen. And were surprised to see each other have similar looks on their faces.
"You got it wrong too? No way." Rex and Ben said to each other simultaneously.
"Yeah. Just took a guess. Used the last skip on the Tom Cruise question." Ben said.
"Sam-"
"Who said the game was over? Because if it was, you would have felt some pain. It's not." Chris said as another question was shown after the GAME OVER screen disappeared. A ticking bomb casually rolled onto the screen with 30 seconds and counting remaining.
"It was a fake!?" Several people said simultaneously.
"Oh that is so diabolical. A fake game over screen?" Louie said.
The pairs hurried and ran back in.
"Did I lie about anything in this tiebreaker challenge? Besides what was seen in the instructions of this game."(Yes, by I, I mean Chris. This question was modded in by Heloise)

#JusticeforTDUniverseJosuke&Vert
"What? What kind of a question is that?" Courtney said.
"You saw all of the other questions and this is where you draw the line?" Isagi said to her.
"Well, no of course not. I mean…. this is a weird question to bring up."
"Well, weird or not they have to answer it or it's game over for real this time."
"Is this a trick question?" Ben said aloud.
"I am not sure. Is it?" Rook said.
"Real helpful. Thanks." He said sarcastically.
"I am not being sarcastic. I am serious."
"Oh."
"Okay, getting rid of the obvious wrong ones…."
"JUST PICK AN ANSWER DARN IT!" Bobo yelled out as the remaining 10 began to slowly tick away.
Both of them made their picks.
And another game over screen was shown on both of their computers.
"What? Again? Is it real this time?" Dwayne said.
The next thing everyone knew, shaking was heard from both booths.
"What's going on?" Ben said.
Neither pair could get out either. As hard as they tried to. Both of their booths were revealed to have actually been rockets.
"Wait a second. Chris! What's going on!?" Rex yelled out.
"What? I can't hear you!" Chris called out.
Rex immediately tried to punch out of the rocket but couldn't. And the other participants weren't that far behind him in trying to get out. But also still couldn't.
One of the rockets launched into the air a split second later, soaring all the way into space while the second one didn't even launch as only a puff was heard.
The second one being Ben and Rook's. A few seconds later, the door opened, allowing them to come out of the rocket.
"Okay, can someone tell me what just happened?" Ben asked as the two stepped out.
"Short answer you won." Chris said.
"Okay, so I'm guessing the long answer explains how."
"Easy. You chose one of the right answers. One of them being 'no'." Heloise said. "Rex chose yes."
"But seeing as how we are the victors, would that not be considered as a lie? You stated that this would be first to four." Rook said.
"Oh yeah, it definitely is. But, read the question. For the most part, it's easy to just assume Chris was telling the truth. Like you guys do pretty much every challenge. Seriously, why you guys are consistently surprised when he lies, when he's done it numerous times I have no clue. But me pointing out you guys not using your brain isn't the point. That's for a later time." Heloise explained. "All you had to do was pick no or 'Chris is the Goat'. Anything else would get you sent out of here like what happened to those two."
"And rightfully so. Don? Better than me? Don't make me laugh." Chris said.
"Wow. Mentioning that dude really gets under your skin huh?" Kagami said to him.
"Yeah. Which is exactly why I put that there to see his reaction." Heloise said, grinning. "And yes, the Endless, Multiversal Madness stuff are jokes. Now watch someone still make an angry rant about a clear joke online because they're being impulsive instead of listening. Even after I said it after putting it was a joke in the question. Seriously though, Endless is great. I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Heck, I kinda didn't like it at first either, but give it a try. See if it is. You'll definitely want a second serving if so. That second serving being Homespun, I guess."
"Yeah. And you should be lucky that my reaction isn't to fire you on the spot." Chris said.
"Ha! You're joking….. right?"
"Half-joking."
"Okay, moving on. To be honest, this wasn't even supposed to end up like that. Chris wanted some type of surprise added to the game other than just painful penalties for getting a question wrong. So, I thought of the great idea of having a fake-out game over into a desperate last gasp. If you got it right, you're still in the game with one last life. If you lost a life again, the game ends for real and then we move on to the next game. If you didn't, you're instantly rocketed back home. Which means, because both of you guys got lost all your lives at around the same time, both of you very well could have been out of here today."
"What? You're literally telling us that this tiebreaker could have potentially been a waste of time." Riley said.
"Uh yeah? Pretty much? And before you ask, Chris was okay with anything that happened in regards to how the elimination was handled with this game."
"I was. Just because of how diabolical that is as a penalty. And having both of you being eliminated was the most improbable but hilarious thing that could have happened. And it almost did. Seconds away from it happening, actually." Chris said. "And even better, no goodbyes, hugs or friendly handshakes or fist bumps to waste runtime. Yes!" Chris celebrated, fist pumping. Everyone silently looked at him.
"Okay, no one but me cares. Got it. Doesn't matter anyway. As long as I'm still the host! And as long as you're back for the next actual episode of Total…..Drama….Across the Multiverse!"
"So uh….. we can leave and go back to what we were doing, right?" Dwayne asked.
"Yeah. You didn't have to show up to this. Zero is one I know for sure didn't off the top of my head."
"Oh. You just made it seem like we had to."
"Not really. Look, just get outta here so I can end the episode!"
"Right, right! My bad."
"Alright, end it right here! And uh, make sure you edit that stuff from Dwayne out." Chris said, looking back at the camera.
A/N: And with that, the challenge ends earlier than expected, with Rex and Bobo still ultimately being blasted off out of contention. Won't be the last we see of them though. So if anyone wanted more Rex and/or Bobo action or weapon/ability showcase you'll still get it in one or two of the upcoming episodes.
Sorry about getting this out a little later than I wanted. This was supposed to be out Saturday, but I got set back by some things I needed to take care of, which took up basically most of the day. And Thursday was turkey day, so no writing was going to be done on my part lol.
The games that I did have plans to use will probably be recycled for use later on as full challenges. Most, if not all of them I see working as challenges on the Island except for one, which might work better as a film lot challenge.
As for The Impossible Quiz, its difficulty isn't an exaggeration though. There are just some questions on that quiz that you probably won't be able to get on your first try that'll get you three strikes quick. If you don't get a game over because of a bomb or other instant Game Over pitfalls that this game has(a la the fake Game Over screen that I took inspiration from here. Yes, a fake game over screen is a real question in the game. If you click Try Again not knowing it's fake you really will get a Game Over. But that's still not the most evil question in that game imo. Not going to spoil anything else. Just play the game yourself or look it up). To learn that the creator made more games afterwards via research for this chapter is surprising honestly. Never heard of them or played them like I did this, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're just as difficult, if not harder.
