"Last year on Total Drama Across the Multiverse! Tiebreaker challenge baby! In the previous challenge before, both Rex and Ben were tied in votes. And with that, a tiebreaker challenge awaited them the next day. That challenge being a first to 4 involving them and their partners in multiple games. Whoever got to 4 first would win and survive, sending the losing pair home."
Footage of Chris explaining what would be done for the tiebreaker of the day was shown.
"The first game being Tower Defense, and the second being Battle of the Lullabys. And the third, and, wait for it….. the final game of the day being The Impossible Quiz!"
Footage of a quick look at all three of these games were shown.
"But Chris, what happened? You said first to four! Did one of the pairs threaten to get a clean sweep and you decided it early? No, actually. You see, Heloise added one dirty trick in the quiz. Which is within a slew of other dirty tracks already put in by the creator of the game, so what she did is the least diabolical of what's in the quiz. But that trick being a fake game over screen when all three lives were lost for one of them. But, both got them at the same time. Get it right, and you get one last life. Get it wrong and, as Rex and Bobo found out, you're rocketed into space before going home for an auto elimination."
Footage of said question and Rex and Bobo's elimination, being rocketed into space, was shown.
"So, what was the question? It was if I lied about anything in the challenge. And I actually did. So while Rex and Bobo were right, in the context of the question, as Heloise explained, that was the wrong answer. And funny enough, there was legitimately a chance that both pairs could have been sent home today because of when they lost all their lives."
"But, enough about that. Now it's time to focus on the here and now, on the next episode of Total….Drama…..Across the Multiverse!"

It was another day on the island. Though with how one team was all gathered around, it didn't seem like it.
"Okay everyone, after it randomly dying the first time, here it is!" Hailey presented, showing off the watch.
"You're welcome, by the way!" Toxsa called out.
"Now, it really is all in one. Communications, combat, everything you could possibly want."
"So uh, quick question, you said it died on you. What happened to it the last time?" Kaz asked.
"It overloaded, overheated and exploded."
Flashback to Hailey and Myron testing out the new watch modifications only for it to overheat on her wrist.
She quickly took it off, wincing from the sudden heat sensation and pain and threw it. It exploded seconds later, causing a fire.
Thankfully, with the help of Slazor, the fire was quickly put out.
"I really suggest you ask for help. That could have been way worse." Myron said to her.
"Uh huh. Good idea." She said before looking at her arm, which had a mark on it from the heat, indicating that it slightly burned her skin.
End Flashback
"So that's where the smoke smell was coming from. I thought that was Chef." Ayame said.
"Yeah. The overheating was exactly why I didn't give this out before the last challenge. And I'm glad I didn't." Hailey said.
"Turns out, the overloading was just a voltage problem. Which is how the watch eventually overheated from too many processes happening all at once. Now it can handle all of those processes and then some, now that the features of both the glove have been merged into it." Reagan explained.
"You think one day he'll serve us burnt food?" Scott asked.
"Nah. I don't even think Chris would go far." Kageyama said.
"Not for a meal, but maybe for a challenge." Hinata said.
"Just a little bit of burnt food is bad for you. But a whole plate? I don't even wanna think about that. I think I'd lose my appetite to eat anything for a few days." Diego said.
"Okay, can we….. stop talking about possibly eating burnt food?" Hailey said.
"So, is it ready for us to use?" Eijun asked.
"Yep! And this time, without the possibility of third-degree burns." Reagan said.
"You've been working on trying to make our gear better a lot. I really don't know what else you could possibly do after this, now that you've made it compact and combined combat and general little functions." Bakura said. "But, I'm no genius. More than likely I'll be proven wrong within the next week." He said, laughing a little bit.
"Improvement doesn't stop. The more you improve, the better. I say let them keep going." Hanamiya said.
"And we all appreciate them for it…. Even if I admittedly don't exactly have a clue how to use any of it." Ryoma said, scratching his face after, laughing a little, slightly embarrassed, even if he didn't want to say it.
"Well, we could always teach you. We've made more than enough for everyone, even the ones who don't need it to fight." Hailey offered.
"Uh… no thanks. I think my swords are enough for me."
"Trust me, the revisions aren't going to stop. You realize some of the best RPGs and MMOs still get updates to this day?" Toxsa said.
"And what about the games that don't have one? Or the ones too old for that?" Randy countered. "Some of the brucest arcade games don't need updates. Wannna know why? 'Cause they get it right the first time."
"You mean retro? Like 8-bit? Well yeah I guess. But those games have glitches too. Glitches that could be fixed if they were made today. Seriously, everybody needs to take off their rose-tinted glasses about old games like they're perfect."
"So in other words, these 'revisions' are like training right? Improving to constantly get better." Asta inferred.
"That's one way to look at it, yeah." Dwayne said.
"Not gonna lie, it sounds like you're hating on 8-bit just because it's so old where you're from." Ben said to Toxsa.
"Me being objective is not hating. Modern retro-inspired games have so many improvements going for them that games from the 80s just can't reproduce. Same with remakes compared to the originals. Voice-acting, better sound effects than just the same bitcrushed ones over and over again, saving, save states, better music, list goes on. You guys mean to tell me you really like hearing beeps and boops in your games all the time? The music, the sound effects, everything? Not even voice acting to make it at least sound better?"
"Wow, you really don't like 8-bit games do you?" Adrien said to him.
"What gave it away, the fact that he didn't mention a single positive about them?" Ben said. "You know? I'd love to see what games you've got in your time period. Since they're so much more sophisticated and advanced than ours."
"Let's not act like it'll be anything from 2105. I think everyone should quell their expectations. Old and new have something to offer. It's just that simple." Tsukishima said.
"Is anyone paying attention anymore?" Hailey said.
"Nope." Reagan said.
"Okay, can you please….. you know."
"Get their attention? Oh that's easy." She held her breath in a bit before yelling, "HEY! IF YOU WANT YOUR WATCHES, COME GET THEM NOW!"
That was what got everyone's attention. At least the ones that weren't paying attention. And those that wanted one was able to get one as there were more than enough for everyone, including spares should something happen to any of the ones that were given out.
"I beat it! Let's go! First one to do it too!" Rick exclaimed before getting up and leaving, phone in hand.
"With how they're moving they make it seem like they're moving illegal stuff. Like drugs." Morty said to Lotte, referring to how multiple people were making a concerted effort to secretly pass food to Lucy. Some of those people being Murasakibara, Hiruma(who coerced Mamori into sharing her own snacks) and Natsu.
"Honestly, can you really blame them? No one wants to get in trouble and have to do what she does now. If not get a worse punishment. But even so, they're a lot braver than me. I want to do something too but I'm too scared something will happen if I do." She replied, scrolling through the web.
"I don't blame ya. I still think she shouldn't have taken that bet. Never would have had a chance at happening then. Beating a dead horse I know."
"Actually, I completely agree. I can understand being confident, but I just don't get what that could have accomplished. There's a lot more risk in it than reward. Besides, I really don't think that would have made Todd change his behavior."
"You think she did that to try to teach him a lesson?"
"Probably. That's just a guess from what I've already seen from him this far. I never asked her about it at the risk of her getting more upset about it. Pretty funny that I'm probably one of the few people he ignores."
"With much people get annoyed by him, that would probably qualify as a good thing. But I mean, when you really think about it, I think there's more people that don't care about him than ones annoyed by him. Like, we know about Lucy obviously. Then there's some of the guys on his own team. And then Becky occasionally. And then that's really it. Other than maybe Fiona. Everyone else does not care about him."
"Hmm, it really feels like it's more to be honest. But when you really think about it….. you kind of have a point."
"Clear case of loud minority. Look, when Hiruma of all people doesn't really care about you, that should say something."
"Morty! Morty I beat it!" Rick exclaimed, running towards him.
"Beat what?"
"The Impossible Quiz Morty! I beat it! On Mobile! Desktop version! Let's go baby! None of these other so called genius here could ever!"
"Desktop version? Why not just use the mobile version? Y-you're on a phone Rick. O-or better yet. There's probably an app. You could use that."
"App? Oh yeah you mean the one with the modifications to some of the questions? That app? And by the way, the app is iOS only. So yeah, I'm totally gonna play a watered-down version of the game on Apple's expensive, limited a[censored] technology. You're outta your mind kid. Android wins. Every time."
"I guess. Whatever makes you happy."
"That's great you were able to beat it. Congrats! How many tries did it take you?" Lotte asked him.
"Fifteen. Fifteen! And it would have probably taken me another one if I didn't already start trying to do a no skip run after about the first few. Main character plot armor levels of BS in this game."
"Wait, if you already beat it with no skips, why'd you need to do it again? To get a faster time and speedrun it?" Morty asked.
"No. You played the game right?"
"Uh, like twice. Why?"
"Okay, how far did you get?"
"Not far enough to beat it, that's for sure."
"Close enough. So, this is spoilers but whatever. Y-you know what? I'll just tell her, I'm sure she hasn't played it."
"Actually, I did give a try." Lotte said.
"Well s[censored]. Look, just know that there's a question that once you get to it, 50/50 chance you're p[censored]ed off enough to throw something. I got it by sheer luck, just because I decided to do a no skip run, I got it right."
"I mean it's just one question. Why not just tell us?" Morty said.
"It's not 'just one question' Morty. Did you not hear what I said? Look, let's just move on. Since I don't have anything better to do, what are you guys up to?"
"Nothing really."
"What do you mean 'nothing really'? You mean you guys were sitting here doing absolutely nothing?"
"Nothing really doesn't literally mean that. It's like, hanging out, you know? Look Rick, i-if you need me to do something with you I can. Just tell me."
"Nah. I don't. But since you guys aren't doing anything, I'll just take my leave. I'll give you one hint. Remember this because I won't tell you again. Hell, I'd write it down too. Save your skips if you can. Because they will come in handy. Don't just spend them on stupid questions."
"You know, I sorta feel bad for him." Morty said to Lotte.
"Why?" She asked.
"He's not gonna say it but I can tell, he's got nothing to do here. Look, he's not the only one like this. That's off to themselves. But in those cases, they kinda already made it clear they don't really wanna talk to people. Not gonna lie, what Todd said about him is actually kinda true believe it or not. Why do you think he didn't say anything back? Like I said, it's actually kinda sad when you think about it. But hey, birds of a feather flock together am I right?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't really have friends myself back at school. Shocking, right? Half-sarcastic by the way. A boy and his grandpa travels across the multiverse and doesn't have any friends to show for it. You know what's funny? Rick doesn't believe in time travel, but a guy that time travels, Marty, has it a lot better socially."
"Oh..."
"Yep. But, at least I found more birds I can flock with. Last season. But especially this one. I just want the same for him too. But it's crazy when you think about it. Some of the people that you'd think would be popular where they're from with what they do, they aren't. Sena got bullied before he started playing football. Same with Ippo. Wait... I guess that's bad examples. People look at Midorima like he's a weirdo with his items even though he can't seem to miss. For the most part, Tsukishima looks like he wants to hang by himself or only with Sucy. Mayuzumi just likes to be by himself and read. And maybe is a secret computer nerd? Not even maybe, he's gotta be. He's talked about stuff the average person wouldn't know like a few times."
"Do you think maybe he's a little shy about overtly showing his interests?"
"Hard to say. He makes himself hard to figure out. Remember what I said earlier about the people wanting to stay to themselves? Yeah, they all got something else going for them other than the quiet guy or girl I'll give them that. Octavia definitely looks like she has things going on back home with how she's acted when that gets mentioned. Kunigami's got whatever made him different at Blue Lock compared to Isagi and Bachira. Sucy's got her potions. Shiro's not only an alien, but he looks and acts a lot older compared to the rest of his teammates on that racing team. He's clearly a part of the team, but it doesn't feel like it. If you know what I mean. Paul's another one I can't really figure out. But I think in that case, it's just a matter of me not really seeing him enough. He acts like a jerk at times but I think he's moreso just being blunt and he comes off as one with how he says it. And Jotaro, I don't think I need to say anything about him."
"It's funny you mentioned him. I think the last challenge was my first ever interacting with him."
"Must have been before. He never played. I'd have to hear what happened. I just can't picture that interaction at all. No offense."
"It's okay. I actually just wanted to know where Mayuzumi's room was initially. But then I noticed the book he was reading and asked him about it. Turns out, he's someone that's really passionate about marine life and it's preservation."
"Wow. I did not see that coming."
"Admittedly, I was a little surprised too. But, I suppose it's another example of there being more depth to a person than you think. Also, thinking about what you said earlier about time travel. I guess Bennett's older self is an exception to that rule."
"Rule? Oh you mean the time thing. Honestly, I don't know." His eyes widened. "You know what I just thought about though? And I really can't believe I just thought of that now. God I'm such an idiot!" He said, slapping a hand against his forehead. "If that older version of Bennett is from the future, then there's probably a chance that he knows how this ends. Although, maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud now. It's one thing for me to have that on my mind. But now I put it in your head too. Spur of the moment."
"Well, to be honest, and no offense, but I don't really see it. Coming from the future just to compete on a game show like this to win for money just doesn't make too much sense."
"I mean, Toxsa comes from ten years into the future."
"Yeah but, that's a different situation. I know it sounds weird but, like I said, doing all this just for money just doesn't make any sense. If the Bennetts are smart enough to invent all of those things, then coming here just seems more tedious than just making a profit off that instead. Does what I'm saying make sense to you?"
"Yeah, I got it. I just still find it crazy that it took me this long to think about that. And I guess I'm not the only one. I'm not sure if anyone else thought about it either. But even with all of that, I don't think you're wrong anyway. He actually kinda gave it away during the musical chairs challenge. I forgot about that."
"Oh! Now I remember! It was when he replied to Rick about something that he did in his time that he assumed was bad enough for Bennett to want to come back and fix."
"Yep, that's the one. Makes you wonder what exactly it was that happened. But, I guess as long as he learned from it, it doesn't matter huh?"
"Unfortunately, I don't think Rick or Reagan understand that. At least I don't think they will until they actually get details on what happened."
"I hate to be pessimistic, but it's my honest thought. Unfortunately, I don't think that's gonna happen until we're in serious stuff. What it'll be, I don't know. I do think it's gonna involve one, two or all three of them too unfortunately. All three of them are too stubborn to really sit down and try to talk it out."
"They're not the only ones with that problem either."
"And unfortunately, they won't be the last." A voice said behind them. When they turned, it was revealed to have been Razer.
"Oh, it's you." Morty said.
"Yes. I'm not eavesdropping I promise. I just happened to overhear you talking while passing by."
"It's cool. You look like you got something on your mind anyway."
"Just a little bit. It's pretty staggering, when you think about how many conflicts, and senseless violence started simply because of misunderstandings and lack of communication from any parties involved. I should know firsthand." He said, looking at his red lantern ring.
"Oh that's right. You're a red lantern."
"Yes. As you obviously already know, at first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to be one again after acquiring the blue ring. In fact, this rung true for the blue ring as well. At first, I wasn't sure if I was worthy of it either. But I decided to take both of them again. At once. Less so for the power. Moreso for what they symbolize for me." He said, now looking at both rings. "So I can never forget who I was before as only a Red Lantern. And a Blue one. And learn to embrace my anger. And hope. I find it interesting that in many cases, people throughout the galaxy would only be considered worthy for one particular type of ring. When we're all made of different emotions. Love, will, hope, anger, fear. Not just one."
"I guess, we'd all be worthy for multiple rings then." Lotte concluded.
"But in those cases, it's dominant emotions that make you worthy for one. So like, if you've got a lot of rage, a red lantern ring would come to you. Or will for green, obviously. And then orange for greed." Morty said. "And not only that, just imagine the crazy amount of power you'd have if you were a rainbow lantern."
"You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the rings. I'm surprised." Razer said to him.
"Comic books my man."
All Razer could do was raise an eyebrow at his statement.
"Don't worry about it too much." Morty said, already reading his face.
"EVERYONE REPORT TO IN FRONT OF THE MANSION! YOU KNOW WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN!" Chris announced through recently installed loudspeakers.
***Confessional***
Morty(Radical Rats):
"So you know how Red Lanterns choose someone full of rage? I wonder what happened to him to get that angry? And what happened to him to get a blue one?"
***End Confessional***
"Who's ready for another challenge in the future?" Chris asked the cast.
"Hoverboard challenge? Sign me up." Dewey said.
"Curb your expectations. I never specifically said what it was going to be. But just know that like last time, we will not be taking the plane there. So with that..." He opens a portal on the side of him. "Go on in. At the very least, there's one thing I will tell you, you don't have to worry about wearing any type of equipment like you did in 2105. So for those that weren't a fan of that, you're in luck. Aliens haven't come to live with us yet."
"So if there's no aliens, how far in the future are we talking here?" Huey asked.
"Just go in the portal and find out."
Chris was the first to go in and that was the signal for everyone else to follow.
Benham City, Earth, 2034(Tenkai Knights)
When they appeared, they were in the middle of a grassy area. The surroundings, including the benches, swing sets, etcetera gave enough evidence that they were in a park.
"Future huh Chris?" Toxsa said to Chris, giving him a look.
"That is a look of 'I know what place this is'. Or I can guess it. And you'd be right! Welcome to Benham City folks!" Chris announced. "In the year 2034!"
"2034 huh? Doesn't look too different than what we saw in our present year." Doyle commented.
"So uh, when do you estimate we'll get the flying cars?" Morty asked, half-joking.
"Dunno. Tech's kinda fickle like that. You realize how much Back to the Future got wrong? We had Marty asking for Plutonium like it's sold as easily as batteries."
"When are we going to get to see them show up again anyway?" Eijun asked Chris.
"All I can tell you is soon. Just be patient. And try to keep yourself in the game of course. There's not even a guarantee you'll even be here when he does show up." Chris answered.
"Soon isn't telling me anything!"
"'Soon' is good enough. Stop worrying about what's going to happen in the future and worry about now." Fiona said to him.
"There is a lot of irony in that statement." Toxsa said.
"You can say that again." A voice said behind them that sounded exactly like Natsu's. They all turned to the source, revealing three boys. One having red and black hair and purple eyes and wore a red shirt over a white long-sleeved shirt along with blue cargo jeans with beige suspenders and red shoes.
The second, the source of Natsu's sound-alike, had blue hair and blue eyes along with green goggles on his head. He wore a white hooded sweatshirt under a blue denim jacket that had gold wings on the back of it along with blue pants and brown boots.
And the third had yellow bangs and ginger hair, pulled into a short ponytail along with emerald green eyes. He wore a navy blue t-shirt under a yellow sleeveless jacket vest with shoulder pads on it, dark grey sweatpants and white sneakers.
"Don't tell me, you guys are gonna be the ones in charge of today's challenge? This is gonna be good." Toxsa said, half-sarcastically.
"Whatever. You act like if you were here you wouldn't come up with something involving video games." The Natsu sound-alike said.
"Well I mean I would. So what's your point again?"
"The point is, don't judge what we've got when one: We haven't even explained it yet and two: Like you could come up with something so much better."
"Trust me, I'm almost certain that whatever I come up with would be way better, that I'm sure. What are you even gonna have us do anyway, come up with some jokes and you judge us? Sounds like so much fun. As a matter of fact, I can already figure out off the top of my head what you guys are gonna have us do. Guren's gonna have us do some game involving teamwork. Chooki's gonna do something with sports... which also involves teamwork. And Ceylan? Like I said, it's gonna be something that has to do with jokes."
"You know Ceylan, I'm kinda surprised you didn't think of that." The red-haired boy said.
"Yeah, me too. Oh well." Ceylan, who was revealed to have been the name of the Natsu sound-alike said, shrugging.
"You three. You're the Tenkai Knights aren't you?" Natsu asked, getting up close to them and pointing to them.
"Say that any louder why don't ya?"
"Please try to be quiet about that in the open. That's supposed to be a secret around here." The red-haired boy said to them. "But anyways, you are right regardless. My name's Guren. Otherwise known as Bravenwolf."
"I'm Ceylan. AKA Tributon."
"And I'm Chooki. AKA Lydendor. Really nice to meet you guys in person." The third teen said, speaking for the first time. "Pretty crazy how we all have sound-alikes on the same team."
"Oh yeah that. I think Toxsa already mentioned that." Adrien said.
"And if you count Albedo and Sena here, that's Gen too. Too bad the only guy that even slightly sounds like Toxsa is on another team. That would have been the whole crew right there."
"Yeah. Just call them the Multiversal Knights! Hmm, Radical Knights! Tenkai Rats?" Ceylan said, trying to come up with names.
"I think the second one sticks better." Adrien said.
"Yeah. I'm not really feelin' the other two. Especially Mutiversal Knights." Kise said.
"How come?" Ceylan asked.
"I don't know. It just drags on for too long."
"Speaking of dragging on, let's not have this drag on for too long. I'm sure you guys are looking forward to seeing what we've got for you today. So let's not keep you waiting." Guren said. "Follow us. But just as a heads up, we've got to take a bit of a detour first."
"Detour? To where?" Toxsa asked, confused along with several others.
"You'll see. Just come on!" Chooki said.
As they walked through the city, the cast looked around at their surroundings, with things not really looking too different compared to what things were in the present.
"Are you sure this is the future? I'm not really seein' anything different." Zee said.
"Well, it's hard for me to really explain what's different when I don't know what things are like in your time." Guren said.
"For one, the games are improved that's for sure. Same thing with the tech." Toxsa said.
"So, this long into the future and that's all you really have to show for it? What about making vehicles more energy efficient and environmentally friendly?" Young Bennett said.
"I guess that would be something else. Sorry that sounds a little unenthused. I know helping the environment should be a gameplan we all should buy into. It's just I'm just as clueless about you guys' time as Guren is. Keep in mind that we were all pretty young during that time period. Like, baby young." Chooki said.
"Huh. You know what? That's actually kinda crazy to think about." Adrien said.
"That's time travelling shenanigans for you."
"So, is there any particular reason why you guys keep the whole thing about you being Knights a secret? I mean, Toxsa was pretty open about it to us." Asta asked.
"That's a bit of a different situation though. For one, you guys are from different worlds and time periods, so it shouldn't really be much of a factor if he did tell." Chooki said.
"And second, I know you guys are pretty open about being Black Bulls or whatever, but that's not the case for us. It's like a superhero secret identity type of thing." Toxsa said.
"Yep. It's already bad enough that Slyger and Granox figured out our actual identities. We don't need them goin' after out parents too." Ceylan said.
"Wait, Slyger and Granox figured you guys' identities out? The way Toxsa made them sound, he made it seem like they were pretty dumb." Tangle said.
"I mean, they sound exactly the same. How could they not figure it out?" Todd said.
"You guys are giving those two way too much credit on how smart they are." Ceylan said. "Or how smart they aren't."
"So how else were they able to figure out it was you then?"
"These." Chooki said, showing the wrist communicator he had, which was the same one as Toxsa's.
"Remember how they were able to hack you guys' communications? Yeah, they did the same with us. Even 2034 tech is pretty primitive compared to what's on Quarton. It's like a trojan that gets blocked on modern computers but can get on a 2001 one with literally no problem at all." Toxsa said to the Rats. "That's how they've been able to track us every time they've come to Earth."
"Oddly enough, they don't even know our actual names. They just call us by our Knight names." Chooki said.
"Yeah, until this genius said Guren out loud." Toxsa said to Ceylan.
"Oh shut up, it's not like he ever called us that at any point after. Knowing him he probably forgot. But don't act like you don't just casually almost let our identities spill. Like the one time you just casually blurted out Slyger in front of your own sister and we had to stop you from saying anything else. That's why I'm not even surprised that they know about you being a Knight already." Ceylan replied.
"Well I mean they were gonna find out sooner or later. If I was gonna hope to last long against some of these guys I was gonna have to transform."
"So wait, you guys don't have hoverboards yet?" Scott asked.
"Nah. Not yet. But, if it helps you feel any better, we don't have to pedal on our bikes anymore. A couple of start up pedals and you're good to go." Toxsa said. "I really don't see how you guys' legs could last that long going long distances like that."
"Well, I mean technically we have them. They're just a far cry from anything TV portrays them as." Hailey said.
"Yeah those are not hoverboards I'm sorry." Doyle said.
"The influence that media has on our expectations of what to find in reality is astounding." Older Bennett said.
"Still though, the fact that that is what's considered hoverboards in you guys' time is a joke. Hoverboards are supposed to hover off the ground. Don't really get why that's so hard to understand." Young Bennett said.
A few minutes later, they were able to arrive at the location of the detour. A dojo was in front of them.
"The Dojo? Alright, I think I see what's going on." Toxsa said.
"Do you?" Ceylan asked, in an ominous voice.
"Yes, I do. The dojo's right there."
"So this is where we're gonna be? So much for sports and jokes." Isagi said.
"I mean we still could do it in the dojo. What's stopping us?"
"If this is a dojo, do you think we'll be able to see Gen again? Toxsa did say he was a ninja master." Eijun said.
"Well, glad to know you all are looking forward to seeing me, I guess." Gen said, appearing out of the entrance of the dojo, wearing the same clothes he did the last time he appeared. "I just hope you'll have that same energy for the trials you'll have to do today."
"Are you really a black belt in ninja arts?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, I am. How'd you find that out?"
"Toxsa told us. Pretty cool if you ask me." Julie said.
"I see." Gen said, looking at him.
"What? I only brought it up because of Dan's dojo being brought up." Toxsa said.
"You say that like I know who that is. But anyways, these three brought you here so your challenge for the day could be explained. You will go through different trials presented by the five of us along with Mr. White. The team that has the best performance overall will win. And while you should do your best regardless, there is an extra incentive to winning. One that I think will be well worth your time. So again, I suggest you do your best and take each of these trials seriously. Also, a confessional has been set up next to the dojo. Use it whenever you see fit."
"Wait, am I missing something or did he say five?" Ceylan said.
"Gen, you do realize Toxsa's still in right?" Guren asked him.
"Well duh. Just because I haven't been watching the show doesn't mean I'm clueless." Gen said.
"You haven't been watching the show? How come?"
"As much as I wish Toxsa the best, I don't really care for reality TV. Sorry."
"What about the games? They don't interest you either?" Chooki asked.
"Not really. I'm sure there's some interesting games here or there, but like I said, reality TV doesn't garner much interest from me. Especially in this case when it comes to this particular show's premise. No offense to you Chris."
"None taken. You being willing to do this is good enough for me." Chris said.
"Gen!" A voice called out before repeating herself.
"I'm out here!" He replied back.
"Please tell me my ears are fooling me." Ceylan said.
Beni appeared out the front door, now wearing a green and black samurai gi with pink shoulder pads.
"Well, there's our fifth man." Chooki said.
"Woman." Beni corrected.
"You know what I meant."
"Good, looks like it fits." Gen said, taking a look at her.
"Yep. And it's a lot more comfortable than I thought it'd be." She replied.
"Well duh, it's supposed to be comfortable. How else are you supposed to be able to pull off all of those quick and nimble moves?" Randy said.
"Alright Gen, you got explaining to do." Ceylan said.
"You guys surprised to see me?" She then blinked and came to a realization. "Wait, you didn't tell them I was going to be here Gen?" Beni said.
"No. Because if I did, I had a feeling the reception to it would be a lot worse than what it is now." Gen answered.
"In other words, you expected us to say no." Guren concluded.
"So if you knew we wouldn't like it why the heck would you do it anyway?" Toxsa asked.
"Because, with Toxsa being gone we needed a replacement for him." Gen explained.
"You could have gotten literally anyone else though. That's not the person that, I don't know, has tried to destroy us on Quarton multiple times." Ceylan said.
"Who else should I have gotten then? If you know someone I'm open to suggestions."
"Uh... I'll come back to you on that."
"Okay Gen, while I don't mind Beni helping out, I do mind you not being transparent about it." Guren said to him.
"You wouldn't have minded, but what about the others?"
"Honestly though, I'm more focused on you not telling to us about it Gen. Even if I understand why, that doesn't mean I agree with it. After all, we're still a team." Chooki said.
"Okay, so it's clear you guys aren't exactly on friendly terms with each other. Can we all just agree on a truce? For just this one day?" Kise said.
"There's no need. Once we're done I'm leaving." Beni said.
"Good enough for me." Ceylan said.
"Replace me. You got some nerve Gen. You really think whatever game she's got is gonna be better than mine? If I were here to make one?" Toxsa said to him.
"Of course that's what you're upset about. Why am I not surprised?"
"What else would I be upset about?"
"Uh, I don't know, everything that Beni's done to burn us in the past?"
"Oh that. Well I mean that's a no-brainer, but that's been established for a while. Gen would have been better off just not having anyone. Like seriously what's she gonna have us do? Go shopping?"
"Come on, that's a little prejudiced don't you think? So just because she's a girl that's the first thing you think of? What's next? You gonna say she'd have you play dress-up next?" Lucy said.
"What? I mean it's not like she's shown she can do anything else other than trick people and be a jerk. But, I guess she's got some skill at RPGs."
"RPGs? What are you talking about Toxsa?" Ceylan asked.
"Oh that? Apparently I played co-op with her. Unknowingly."
"Wait, you mean he didn't tell you? We played together for hours in his family's diner." Beni said.
"You stay out of this!" Both Ceylan and Toxsa said simultaneously.
"Sorry." She said innocently.
"Hours huh? What else were you two doing?" Ceylan asked him suspiciously.
"Nothing! That was it! When she revealed she was in the diner too we went out to the park on the... swing...sets. Okay, I'm gonna stop talking now." Toxsa said, realizing that he wasn't really helping his case.
"Wow Toxsa, I never knew you were such a lady killer. Even if the lady in this case is one that's apparently a traitor. It's always the people you don't expect with the out of the blue tastes. In this case, for bad girls." Bakura said jokingly.
"Would you cut that out!? Jeez. That sounds weird coming from you. And how was I supposed to know who's on the other side of the screen? It was online. Look, can we get to the games already?" He said, trying to hide the slight blush of embarrassment on his face.
"Relax. Let them say what they want. They'll see, once they get to my game." Beni said, idly twirling one of her bangs. "Right Toxsa?"
"Don't you 'right' me! Gen, explain why exactly you had to bring her here again?!"
Gen could only sigh and close his eyes. "Well, at least it's better than them outright getting into a fight." He thought.
"Alright, well then, let's get to the first game shall we?" Guren said, excited.
Everyone was out back behind the dojo now.
"Okay, what the heck is this?" Dwayne asked.
"The manifestation of Guren going insane." Ceylan said.
"Uh huh." Toxsa said.
A large fire was seen in front of them. One larger than just a normal campfire. Probably at least eight times as large, if not larger. It was a miracle that it was even able to be contained with how large it was.
"Come on you guys! I haven't even gotten a chance to explain what you'll be doing yet and you're already being mean about it." Guren pouted, slightly blushing in embarrassment.
"Woah, chill out man, it was a joke. Partially." Ceylan said.
"Alright, so what play have you got drawn up for them?" Chooki asked.
"Glad you asked. So, this is gonna be a bit of a relay race. Originally, I was gonna have this be where you guys had to hold on to one another in pairs without letting go but, I thought that would have been way too extreme for your first game. So, it'll just be individually. So first off, the first set of three will get a running start. Then, they'll use that momentum to jump over this fire."
"Hold on a second, having us do this in pairs is too extreme but jumping over this large flame isn't? No offense, but I'm starting to see what Ceylan was talking about." Sly said.
"I don't see the big deal. It's just fire." Natsu said.
"Congrats. Now I wonder what everyone else that isn't immune to fire thinks." Sucy said sarcastically.
"Quiet! Let him finish! Not like you guys had to come up with games." Chris said.
"Thanks a lot Chris." Guren said to him.
"Oh give me a break. The only reason he likes it is because-" Zak started.
"Quiet!" Chris repeated to him.
"Okay, so after that, there's going to be a tire that you'll need to find and get in that's hung up in the park. So I hope you've been paying attention on the path we took to get from there to the dojo or you're gonna be pretty lost." Guren continued to explain.
"Hold on a second, is this that crazy training regimen that you came up with a while ago?" Toxsa asked.
"This is what you call training? I heard of extreme but this is a whole new level." Morty said. "I don't even think Hiruma is this crazy."
"Oh yeah that one. Before Gen came in and called for a different play." Chooki said.
"You guys come on! I'm not even finished yet!" Guren said.
"Okay, anyone else that has anything bad to say about Guren's game gets last place food when or lose. So I suggest you keep your moth shut. Got it?" Chris said.
"Ha, except you can't do anything to us. We're not even playing." Ceylan said.
"Then I'll make sure to tell Mr. White to give you something different that what we'll eat." Gen said.
"How different we talkin'?"
"How about something really spicy? Like from Toxsa's family diner?" Chris proposed.
"I suppose that can work."
"Alright alright our lips are sealed!"
"Good." Chris said. "Alright Guren, keep going."
"Right. So, after you get in on the tire, you'll actually need three teammates to push or pull you to the next part of the race, Toxsa's family diner. Which is where some bikes will be. The bikes will be tied up to the back of a truck. And your job is to make sure you stay attached to the track until you get to the next part." Guren continued.
"Wait, there's a next part!?" Toxsa asked, stomach already churning.
"Yep. This is the final part too. It'll be a mad dash back to the dojo, where there will be some books waiting for you at the entrance. You'll need to do a handstand and go through a large pile of rocks all without falling or dropping the books that I'll place on your feet. The more books you drop, the more you'll be penalized on your time. So don't worry, if you drop a few, it's not the end of the world. I wouldn't want this to be too brutal for you. And then, once that's done, you'll do a crab walk, very similar to what you saw Ippo do, with a cold bucket on your chest. Obviously not bare chested of course. As long as you don't drop the bucket when you cross the finish, you're golden! And that's it! A great and fun way to get your adrenaline pumping! Obviously, you won't be able to use any abilities to help you. Almost forgot."
Everyone simply looked at him in silence, dumbfounded at what he just asked them to do.
"Too brutal huh?" Lucy said in a deadpan tone.
"Quite a way to start off. I'll give him that at least." Sophie said.
"This is your friend Gen." Beni said to him.
"Tch, shut up." Gen said.
"Okay, so who wants to go first?" Guren asked, still just as excited as he was when he was explaining the game.
***Confessional***
Ceylan:
"Listen, Guren's my bro, but the best bros are comfortable in calling each other out on their faults too. In this case, Guren has this tendency to go overboard sometimes. It's always good intentions behind them but still. He actually said this was going to be our training to get stronger against the Tenkai Guardians. Well, minus the handstand and crabwalking, he added that in for this race. Yeah, I think the fire was going to kill us before the Guardians would even get a chance to try to. That was before Gen came in and saved the day by offering us training in his master's dojo. The same day we learned he was a ninja master. But you know, I just thought about something, how is the bike thing going to work? It's not like he's gonna get them to rope onto some random-Oh."

All three teams made their picks. Kagami, Ryoma and Reimu were each of their respective teams' picks for the first part of the race, which was jumping over the large fire.
"Alright. Best of luck to all of you!" Guren said to the first three.
"They're sure as heck gonna need it." Dwayne said, still amazed at how that large of a fire was able to be contained.
"On your marks."
...
"Get set."
...
"GO!"
The three were off to the races, getting a running start before they all jumped. Surprisingly for someone that's known to jump like Kagami, he was the one that had the most issue in jumping over the fire. Regardless though, he was still able to get over with as he looked around on his shirt as he ran just to make sure it wasn't on fire before focusing back on where he was going, running faster to try to catch up to the other two.
As they ran through the streets, several people turned their heads and/or had to quickly move out of the way to avoid getting trucked over by the three.
"Sorry!" Ryoma apologized, slightly bumping into someone. Out of the three, he was leading.
"Hey! What the heck are you doing?" A woman called out to Reimu before Kagami almost ran her over, having to spin out of the way to avoid actually doing so.
"Excuse me! My bad!" Kagami yelled out, not even turning around to face her as he was trying to focus on avoid actually running over anyone else.
"So uh, quick question Guren." Ceylan started.
"Shoot." Guren replied.
"You said the bikes were going to have to be tied behind a vehicle. So uh, who's going to be driving those vehicles?"
"I can answer that one. Chef will. Along with Doyle on the second one. Hence why both of them are no longer present with us." Chris said.
"So, that just leaves one more for the third team. Who's going to drive that one?"
"You'll see soon enough. I'll leave it as a surprise."
"Which means whoever it is is probably going to be a moving disaster for whichever team gets who. Any hint on who's assigned who for that?" Becky asked him.
"Oh, there are no assignments. It's first come, first serve. Even though that really doesn't mean much here."
Focusing back on the race, Ryoma was the first to get to the second leg of the race, where Eijun and Furuya(at the latter's quiet but vehement request to do it over Asta) awaited him to help with the pulling of the tire, which had Myron in it as he was one of the shortest and slimmest members out of the team, with both Toxsa and Fiona being offended, for completely different reasons. Both though having to do with their size/height. Fiona for not being picked and Toxsa for being considered to be picked because of his height, something he hates people bringing up.
For the second and third place competitors, Kagami and Reimu respectively, Kurita and Yulaw awaited to help bring Puss along in the tire for the former while Maki and Rook would pull Huey(in this case, it didn't matter who out of the triplets or Todd and Huey went as their team all thought they were good enough so they just blindly picked one of them).
But the Breakers lost that lead the second their tire fell on the ground.
"Okay, it's clear that this isn't going to work. You'll just have to push rather than pull." Myron said.
"Well, what are we waiting for? We've lost time as it is!" Ryoma said to the two pitchers.
"Let's try it again! One more time!" Eijun insisted.
"Hmm, both aren't exactly a cake walk. But, if you think you can handle it, who am I to stop you?" Myron said to him.
"Right!" Eijun nodded before they got the tire back up and started to run once again to pull it along after Myron was back in it.
"Has anyone else come to the realization of how weird pulling someone in a tire looks? Three someones?" Huey idly asked his teammates as he looked around the park while being pulled.
"No. Though I think that's probably because what I've done far surpasses pushing a tire around." Maki answered.
"Yes, actually. But, I kept the idle thought to myself." Rook answered.
"No. I haven't. Though that's because I'm thinking about how hard Guren had to make this first game." Reimu grunted as she continued to try to help the two pull the tire.
"What's wrong? That back giving out on you? Normally I wouldn't care much about breaks, but right now, we can't afford one." Maki said, looking behind as the Rats were on their tail, with Kurita surprisingly having almost no issue with pulling the tire alongside Yulaw.
"No. Not yet. But I will be glad when this is over."
"Jeez. Gotta give props to you big guy. You might be handling this way better than me right now." Kagami said to Kurita as they continued to pull the tire with Puss in it.
"Hang in there. We are almost there. I can feel it." Puss said to him.
"Trust me, you don't gotta worry about me. I'll last for as long as I need to."
"Yeah. Soon my back's gonna feel it too." He thought.
Kurita was heard grunting more as he tried to pull harder on the tire after hearing this.
"Hey, you don't have to overwork-" Yulaw started before he started to pull even harder with them actually starting to gain ground on the leading Kings. Something that said team audibly heard from the grunting.
"Crap. Come on! Pull harder!" Maki said to her teammates after turning her head to see them right on their tail.
"Trust me. We are trying to." Rook said, trying to pull harder.
Eventually, the teams got to the diner and found the bikes, with the Rats and Kings pretty much coming in at around the same time. The Breakers a few seconds later. Those that were inside the tires were the ones that needed to ride the bikes, meaning that Puss, Huey and Myron would be in control of the next leg of the race. Said bikes were already tied up behind some pickup trucks by rope.
"So, all you have to do is pedal and go. Easy enough." Myron said, before pushing down on the pedals. After going a few times, he was able to get it to go with his driver being revealed as he turned his head around.
"Oh hey! You ready to go?" The driver said, revealing that it was Launchpad driving which caused Myron to yell out in horror after seeing who was driving.
"Guess that's your way of saying yes, oddly enough. Future's got some pretty interesting language that's for sure." He said before flooring it without giving any type of warning that he was going to do so.
Regardless of who was in front or last, all three had to dodge traffic. Traffic that none of the drivers seemed to have done much of a good job in avoiding as seemingly all of the dodges were near misses, which made things harder on the bike riders to have to dodge as well. And in Puss' case, he was forced to have to jump off his bike at one point and get back on, thinking that there was a chance that he was going to get hit by a car.
"Just want to put this disclaimer out there, if something happens to you, it's your fault. Not hours." Doyle called out.
"Like we have control of the driving too. You would have been better not saying anything to be honest." Huey said to him, swerving out of the way to avoid running right into a lamppost.
""Like I said, just wanted to put that out there."
"When Guren talked about adrenaline, I don't think he was kidding!" Myron said, breathing hard as he continued to desperately avoid hitting anything. With how Launchpad was driving, it was hard to tell if it was because of him unironically driving bad or if Chris told him to drive that way, as he told the others to drive aggressively, just to "match the theme of what Guren was looking for".
Puss seemed to have been the only one that looked to have been having fun throughout the entire ordeal. Of course, barely holding onto his hat wasn't exactly fun, but regardless, it was still the balance of adrenaline rush and challenge that he was looking forward to when joining the show this season, without the unfortunate consequences of anyone being injured of course.
"You know, this reminds me of the special challenge in the last season we were in." Puss said to Huey, swinging around a lamppost as the bike and rope wrapped around it but somehow, still didn't snap, which was a miracle for him.
"Oh yeah, that one. I'm honestly surprised that hasn't been a reprised challenge yet. It was fun. Eventually life-endangering, but fun." Huey replied.
"Hey! You alright back there?" Launchpad called out to Myron, who was heard yelling again. Something that Launchpad took as a yes. "Sweet! I'm tryin' my best to get you caught up to the others. Without running anyone over in the process of course. So bear with me alright?"
"At this point, I just want to make sure we actually get there!" Myron said to him as he almost ran into a fire hydrant.
"Make sure we actually get there. Of course! But still, wouldn't want you to be last."
Well, Myron's wish would be fulfilled as they would get to their destination, which was near the back of the dojo.
"Wait, Launchpad was the driver?" Toxsa said.
"You know what? I take back what I said about not being able to do this." Fiona added.
"I'm honestly surprised Myron was even able to get back here, even if it was late. If his flying skills were indicative of anything." Sophie said as Myron was handed books as he tried his best to do a handstand, something that he's never done before in his life.
"Man, I completely forgot about the handstand part of this. But hey, I think Puss has got this so we should be good." Kagami commented as he and the other spectating contestants turned their attention to the inside of the dojo.
"Too bad we can't say the same for Myron." Kageyama said. Focusing on him, while he hasn't fallen or lost any books, any credit that would be given for that would have been cancelled out with him barely making any progress. And it was starting to p*ss him off. "HEY! AT THIS RATE THE NEXT GAME IS GONNA START! YOU CAN'T GET ANYWHERE IF YOU DON'T ACTUALLY MOVE!"
"Trust me, I'm trying to! But I have to make sure I don't drop any books either!" Myron replied as he was still close enough to be heard without yelling too loud.
"If you call that trying then I'd love to see what you think going one hundred percent is. Look, you don't have to be perfect. Having all the books isn't going to matter if you don't even finish!" Kaz replied.
"It's... hard to do that when distracted!" Seconds later all of the books fell when he lost his balance, leading to a long frown of frustration on his face, causing multiple people on his team to sigh.
"Yeah that's not gonna look good on your time I'm willing to bet." Chris commented.
"You think?" He replied.
Focusing on Huey and Puss, with the latter having a smaller bucket just to make things a little more fair for him while still making it challenging, Huey got off to a slow start on the crab walk, but was able to find his footing(and handing). Both were headed to the finish, which was outside.
"Hey, you think you could slow down just a bit? For old times sake?" Huey asked to Puss jokingly.
"I am sure you know my answer to that." The cat replied, continuing to move.
"So, that's a yes?"
Puss moved closer and closer to the finish line before actually crossing it, winning the first game for his team.
"No. Right. Silly me." Huey said before crossing the finish line seconds later.
"Almost, got it." Myron said, still doing the handstand and almost getting to the final part of the race.
"Myron, you can stop if you want." Guren said to him.
"No. I made it this far. I'm going to see this through!" He insisted.
"Nah, seriously. Stop. We've got several other games. By the time you finish, it'll be over the runtime. Besides, your team got last anyway. Let's move on to the next game." Chris said.
"It wouldn't have been that long. I think that is a gross over-exaggeration."
"Don't care. At the rate you were going, it might as well have been the truth. Now, let's move on. No ifs, ands, or buts about it."
***Confessional***
Kageyama(Wave Breakers):
"Myron being terrible at these types of challenges isn't anything new, but with less people here it's starting to really rear its ugly head a lot more. Either he does something to fix that or he goes and unfortunately, so does the rest of his team."

Ceylan's game was next on the menu for the cast. This time, they were inside the dojo. Three targets were seen on one side of the room they were in.
"Okay guys, this one's pretty simple. Get a bow and arrow, hit the target, best score out of three rounds wins." Ceylan explained.
"Alright Ceylan you can cut the act. What else have we gotta do?" Toxsa asked in a deadpan, unmoved tone, already knowing he had something else planned under his sleeve.
"I mean, other than having to draw it and fire it like this, there's not much else." He replied, holding the bow downwards, pulling the string back and firing the arrow, hitting a target. It wasn't a perfect dead-center hit, but it was still decent.
"So, basically firing like a crossbow then?" Sophie inferred.
"Yeah, guess that's one way to put it. Oh, and one more thing. It can't be the same person every round. So basically, after the first round, you pick a new person to play next. Then rinse and repeat for the third. Kapeesh?"
"I think we got it. So, with that being said, let's get to picking who goes first." Ayame said, turning her attention towards her own team.
***Confessional***
Ceylan:
"You know, now that I think of it, I'm kinda glad I didn't do the jokes thing. Wouldn't have fit the theme of what's going on today. I mean, the game I got is simple and isn't as 'zany and wacky' as Guren's but hey, sometimes, simple is all you need. Not everything's gotta be askin' someone to build a rocket, get in it, survive meteors and come back down unscathed or close to it. I mean, that's not really what happens in all these challenges but, you get my drift. Wait... has that actually ever been a challenge yet?"
***End Confessional***
The first three chosen for the game were Blaze, Akashi and Dwayne. All three were on the opposite end of the dojo where the targets were.
"I never took you to dabble in archery." Akashi said to Dwayne.
"Sometimes people can be full of surprises." Dwayne said to him, smirking a bit. "Besides, once you get a feel for it, it isn't that hard."
"I suppose not."
"Alright, so here's the kicker, on my mark, you've gotta fire. No sooner, no later or the score doesn't count, no matter how awesome it is. Give or take about a second of course. Got it?" Ceylan said to three.
"Yep." Dwayne said, with his two contemporaries nodding.
"Okay. Ready..."
All three held their bows, aiming them at the targets, but did not draw yet.
...
...
...
...
...
...
"Aim..."
They all began to draw back the strings on their bows, pulling back the arrows.
...
...
...
...
"Fire!"
All three fired at around the same time with their arrows speeding towards their respective targets.
At the very least, all three of them were able to actually hit the targets, so none of them would start their teams off scoreless. Who was the most accurate was aO completely different story.
"Alright, let's see who got the most!" Ceylan said before Chooki went to check as he was the closest to the targets.
"Looks like Blaze was the most accurate with a 90. Akashi with an 80. Real close to that 90 though, but off just enough to not get there. And Dwayne is third with 60." He said.
"Good to know. Thanks." Heloise said, already writing down the scores in a notepad. Though the scores could be seen visually by the viewers on the score overlays that appeared.

Adrien(Radical Rats):
"Well, that turned out better than expected. With how we were thinking about this, we decided not to throw our best out in the first game. Obviously we didn't want to get anyone that didn't know what they were doing either, but we wanted to use it as more of a feel-out round for any surprises. Although, he could always throw something in on the second and third ones. But even so, at the very least, we'd still have our best options to try to navigate through whatever it is. Although, it looks like the others had the same idea as us, so I'm not going to pretend like we had some super original idea."

"Not bad. Not bad at all. Was kinda expectin' at least of one of you to get a perfect but, no biggie. Not everybody can be the sharpshooter I am. Let's go to round 2." Ceylan said.
"Sharpshooter? Give me a break." Toxsa said.
"I can aim better than you, that's for sure. Why don't you have the bow and arrow as your main weapon again?"
"He's got a point. If you're so accurate, how come I've been able to get around your shots so easy? I can't be that fast, can I? Or maybe your aim's just that slow." Beni said to him, in a teasing/taunting manner.
"You know, you're not really doing a good job making yourself, I don't know, likeable here. And besides, one on one I could put you on ice pinkie."
"I never came here to make myself 'likeable'. I could be wrong but I don't ever remember Gen saying anything about that to me. Though that seems to be just one of the things he hasn't told me anything about." She said, looking at Gen, who only closed his eyes and turned his attention back towards the targets. "And as for the second thing, what difference is a little ice going to make? You weren't even a match for normal little ol' me in your regular Titan Mode."
"Enough you two. As for everyone else, how about instead of standing around eating up so called 'drama' you get ready for the next round? Remember the sooner you get this done, the sooner you'll be free for the day." Gen said.
"He's got a point. Take advantage of the timeout and huddle up for your next play. You only get so many so don't let them go to waste." Chooki advised.
"You can't go five minutes without mentioning something to do with sports can you?" Ceylan asked.
"That's a bit of an over-exaggeration. But hey, you can't seem to resist cracking jokes or doing one-liners, so let's not act like your playbook's that different."
"See? You just did it again!"
"Hey, Earth to Ceylan." Aomine started, causing the two to turn to him. "We're done."
"Actually, we're all done." Zero added.
"Really? Awesome! Well, what are we waitin' for? Let's go!" Ceylan exclaimed.
Moving on to the second round, they were in a completely different part of the dojo. Along with that, the three participants, Rook, Lucy and Ayame were further from the targets than the first round. Several lightweight sandbags were seen swinging in between them and the targets as well.
"Alright, a little harder for round two. Nothing you guys can't handle though, right?" Ceylan said.
"Not gonna lie, it's pretty weird having you here giving instructions about the challenge then Natsu right there." Lucy said.
"You can say that again." Happy said. "I wonder if he shares the same smell as him though?"
"I already checked earlier. Weirdly enough he doesn't. Same thing with Chooki and Adrien. And Gen and all his other sound-alikes. Guren doesn't count since Zero's a robot. And I already did Aomine and Toxsa a while back." Natsu said.
"Okay, when the heck did you do this?" Aomine asked, weirded out that he did this without him even knowing about it.
"Uh, I honestly forgot. I just know it was at some point while we were here because I got curious. I should have did Lucy when she was that squirrel girl too."
"Right here, right?" He joked, pointing at her assets before he was immediately grabbed by the ear by Weiss and forced back to being with his own team. "For you to be shorter than Tetsu you damn sure are pretty strong."
"Come on, he was just making a joke. Poor-tasting one but still, he was clearly joking. It's not like he was hitting on her." Yang said.
"I'm not doing it because I'm jealous. I'm doing it to make sure he doesn't get himself hurt." She replied.
"Yeah well, I think you failed." Aomine said, rubbing his ear.
"If you think that was hurting you, then if she got her hands on you it would have been basically torture." She said, referring to Lucy.
"To answer your question, nah. Don't really gotta get that close for that." Natsu said to him.
"Riiight. Let's just start the second round, okay?" Ceylan said, already wanting to move on after the conversation took a turn to something that weirded him out.
"Yeah, I'd really like that." Ayame agreed.
"You and me both. Okay, you guys ready?"
"I've been ready for a while. Before he ran his mouth." She said, referring to Aomine.
"Look, it- never mind." Aomine started before deciding to drop it.
"Come on, you can't say you're ready then you do that." Ceylan said to Ayame.
"Alright, alright. I'm ready. For real this time." She insisted.
"Alright, I'm gonna hold ya to that."
"Ready?"
...
...
...
...
"Aim..."
...
...
...
"Ffffffff..."
Lucy and Ayame were just about to fire as soon as they thought they heard him say it but held back at the last second.
"Faking out a fire to try to throw them off? That's a pretty dirty trick. But crafty nonetheless." Beni said.
"Thanks I guess. Though to be honest, even your 'compliments' sound fake."
...
...
...
...
...
"FIRE!"
All three were able to get their shots off. Though in this case, who fired first, second and last was a lot more clear. With Lucy, Rook and Ayame all firing at first, second and third respectively.
When it was all said and done, all three were able to hit the targets.
"Alright, hits from all three again. Nice job!" Ceylan said to the three.
"Looks like Lucy's got a 50. At the very least, it's better than nothing." Chooki said.
"That's a nice way of saying I didn't do well. Which, I mean I didn't but still." She said to him.
"Again, it's better than nothing. You could have went wide right or left. Hit the sandbags, shot too early, shot too late, etcetera. 50 might not be the best in class but a field goal is way better than a turnover on downs." He said, a lot more emphatic on his declaration to her. "As for the others, Rook's got the best score with another 90. Really close to that hundred though. And Ayame's got 70. Not bad at all."
"You just can't help yourself can you?" Ceylan said to him.
"I did it again didn't I?"
"Yep."
"What can I say? Sports, competition, and love for the game is in my DNA." Chooki said, shrugging.
"Well at least you're honest about it. I'll give you that. Even if it does get obnoxious at times."
"Now you know how we feel about your one-liners." Toxsa said.
"I'm sorry, but is mister 'I know about computers and video games and have to make sure you know that' talking?"
"Let's be honest, you all have things about you that make you obnoxious to other people." Gen said to them.
"Like you don't emo boy?"
"Please don't call me that."
"Rule number one about me, if you don't like being called something, make sure I'm not around to hear it. But anyways, last round!"
For the final round, Sly, Whisper and Hailey were the participants. The last round had the sandbags moving faster. Along with that, the targets were even further back and one of every participants' eyes had an eyepatch over it. Which one would have the eyepatch was their choice, but putting on the eyepatch was required.

Sly(Storm Kings):
"Believe it or not, I actually have a bit of experience with archery. It'd take too long to explain, but just know that I do know how to use a bow and arrow. At the very least, good enough to get enough points to secure us a win in this game."
***End Confessional***

Hailey(Wave Breakers):
"Confession time, I never did this before in my life. And apparently, neither has anyone else left that we have to pick from. But, someone's gotta do it so why not? And after what Toxsa said earlier, I don't trust him to do this without him trying to force it just to prove something to his friends. Not saying I'll do substantially better, but at least he won't be used as an easy scapegoat for why we lost."
***End Confessional***

Whisper(Radical Rats):
"To be honest, I don't have any experience using a bow and arrow. But, no one else that's left for us really does either. Hopefully it isn't too difficult."

Rally(Radical Rats):
"What? You thought I was gonna be in this? Not unless I have to. Never used a bow and arrow in my life. Not the same thing as a gun so I won't pretend like I can just go in and dominate if I did try."

"Alright, this is the last round. Make your shots count guys!" Ceylan said to the three.
"Ready..."
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
"Aim..."
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
"Fi-" He cut himself off at the last second. But no one fell for it.
...
...
"Yeah. Guess I should have figured that wouldn't worked a- fire!"
Sly was the first to get a shot off while Whisper and Hailey, with the latter flinching, got their shots off a second apart each.
"Alright, let's get the scores!" Ceylan exclaimed.
"Oh man. Looks like you got it smack dab in the center Sly! Perfect 100!" Chooki exclaimed.
"Yeah. If the target was one of the sandbags." Gen remarked.
"Yep. Unfortunately it's not so that's a miss. No points. Sorry. Tough luck man."
Sly sighed. "Well, you can't win 'em all."
"As for Hailey, an 80! That's great! And this time it's on the target!"
"Sly's target, not yours. So that still doesn't count. Sorry." Ceylan said.
"Wow. That's better than I expected. I didn't think I'd hit anything."
"Well, I mean you technically didn't."
"Please don't ruin this moment for me. I know it's small but let me take what I can get."
"Hey, it's on my target. That means we get the points, right?" Sly asked in a joking manner.
"Funny, but no. You wish."
"Which leaves us with Whisper. 50 points. On a target. And on your team's target. And what did I tell you guys about field goals earlier? Kickers can be heroes too ya know. And this was the game winning kick. Looks like your team wins! If I got my mental math right." Chooki said to her.
Rats: 190
Kings: 170
Breakers: 130
"You did. Rats win by 20 points." Heloise said.
"Which means game 2 belongs to them!" Chris announced. "Pretty good game all things considered. Now, who's doing the next game?"
"Me coach." Chooki said.
"Coach McLean. Ya know, I dig it. But anyways, show us what you got man!"
"With pleasure!"
After a few minutes of walking, everyone was back outside by a lake.
"So, I was thinking of some games for you guys to play. Obviously, some easy choices for sports would have been Baseball, Basketball, Football, well, the American version anyway, etcetera. You know, something you haven't played yet this season." Chooki started. "Heck, I even considered going with some other underrated and obscure sports that you guys haven't played yet. Like Lacrosse. But, I ultimately went with fishing."
"So, out of all the things you could have picked, you chose fishing, the thing you're terrible at." Ceylan said.
"Come on, I'm not that bad. Back me up on this Guren."
"Uh well... I do remember you catching some decent sized fish that one time."
"That one time. Basically never." Toxsa said.
"So, what made you pick fishing? Want to watch us to teach you some pointers secretly?" Kaz asked. "Because if that's the case then you'll definitely be able to learn a thing or two." He boasted.
"Yeah, how not to fish." Zak remarked.
"I know how to fish thank you very much! You must have forgotten! But don't worry, I'll make sure to refresh your memory. Chooki, go ahead and finish the explanation of what we have to do so we can start!"
Chooki laughs a bit. "An eager beaver, I love it."
"Let's just hope you're not too eager and scare the fish away." Guren said.
"Yeah, let's hope not. Now, two of you from each team will get a chance to fish at the same time. Whoever gets the largest sized fish overall wins. And don't worry too much about not knowing how to. If you don't, I could always teach you."
"But it's probably a good idea to pick people who know how anyway. Just so, you know, you have a better shot at winning." Ceylan said.
"That and because Chooki sucks at fishing. You don't want him teachin' you. That'll actually lower your chances." Toxsa said.
"Guys, I'm serious! I really did get better since last time!" Chooki said.
"Pics and/or fish or it didn't happen. But anyways, I think I can-"
"Fishing huh? Sounds exciting! I'm up for it!" Asta said, not even hearing Toxsa at all.
"Wait, you know how to fish?" Kaz asked Asta.
"Yep!"
"Sweet! We can be fishing buddies!"
"But-" Toxsa started.
"Hold on a second! I'm challenging you for one of those spots!" Eijun called out to the two, pointing at them.
"Challenging us? How?" Kaz asked.
"Rock, paper, scissors that's how!"
"Look, no offense to you guys, but if you guys get a shot, then we should too." Hailey said.
"Yeah, we've fished before too." Scott added. With Furuya also silently wanting to join in as well.
"Well, maybe we should give the people that haven't had a chance to play yet a chance." Launch, as her good self, reasoned.
"Just put in whoever will give us the win. That's more important than trying to be 'nice'." Bass said.
"The real question is why does it have to be just six people? It should have been more than that. Even the target challenge had three each." Natsu said.
"Well, I can answer that. It's six because that's all of the fishing rods I decided to bring." Chooki answered.
"Couldn't you have brought more?" Kagami asked.
"Well, to be honest, I didn't want to bring too many. Fishing works best in some peace and quiet. So if I had like ten of you play at once that would have been way too much noise."
"So just tell em to be quiet."
"I really don't want to have to do that Unless youi're yelling of course."
"You could have just did rounds then. Why not do that?" Natsu said.
"Because for one, I didn't want this to be too long, and two, I'd rather not take too many fish out of the water just for one game like it's the main event of the day."
"Everyone's talking about what's wrong with the current rules when we haven't even decided who's going to fish out of just the six people." Mamori said.
"Well that's easy. Happy and I can do it." Natsu said.
"Whaddoya think you're doin'? You can't just up and take those spots." Sendo said.
"Well, we could always play a game for it."
"Nah. Never fished a day in my life so I'm gonna have to pass up on this game."
"Then what was even the point of you saying anything?" Kise asked.
"That was moreso for the rest of you." Sendo said, looking at Lanolin.
"I have no experience in fishing whatsoever." Lanolin said before the boxer looked over at Blaze.
"Same here." Blaze said.
"Nope." Kise said.
"Fishing would be nice but... yeah I think I'll learn on my own time." Adrien said.
"Don't look at me." Rally said.
"Nuh uh." May said.
"Sorry." Becky said, shrugging.
Hiruma only shook his head.
"Well, I mean could but... nah. Have fun." Rick said.
"Yeah, no. Sorry." Morty said.
"You should already know the answer." Sucy said.
"I... have no reason to fish." X said as Sendo looked at him.
"Wait... have I fished before? Weirdly enough, I don't think I have." Zee said.
"Does being a fish count?" Akko asked.
"No, it doesn't." Several people said.
"Why were you a fish?" Sendo asked, eyebrow raised.
"Transformation spell. Long story."
"That wasn't even a full transformation by the way." Sucy remarked.
"Look, it was good enough. When I say 'long story' it means we can move on."
"Oh trust me, I wasn't asking to hear you go on about it." A remark that got her red team roommate to puff up her cheeks in annoyance, already knowing that was an insult.
"Well, I think that settles it. Good luck you two." X said to Natsu and Happy.
"Right!" Both said simultaneously.
"Can't believe our hopes in winning this game rely on Happy of all people." Lucy commented.
"He's just as much as part of the team as everyone else. I don't care how much he's played or hasn't. So you better believe it!" Hiruma said to her.
"What do you mean we can't use sticks?" Kaz said to Chooki.
"It means exactly what I said. Look, I'm not knocking your style, but for this game, you gotta play by the rules. It's that simple." Chooki said.
"Besides, that would help us more than hurt us. We don't have time for you to be swimming around in the water, looking for fish." Jenny said.
"And second, why would you want to do that when you could just stand on solid land and fish like a normal person?" Noelle said.
"What do you mean 'like a normal person'? You guys just act like those things are just lying around for us to use all the time. If they were I would love to know why I didn't have one. Oh wait, that's because you can't use them all the time!" Kaz said.
"To be fair, I know of someone that fishes with sticks just like Kaz did. A duelist named Mako Tsunami. Of course, in his case, he was a fisherman along with a duelist." Bakura said.
"Well, we'd tell him the same thing we told Kaz if he was around." Noelle said.
"Not to mention he's an actual fisherman. That's a big difference compared to Kaz who just did it that one time." Myron said.
"Yeah well one time is better than no times. And by the way, did I mention the fact that both my arms and legs had weights on them? That was not easy. But fine. I just hope that whoever you guys pick to replace me knocks this game out of the park. We can't afford to get behind any more than we already have." Kaz said.
Considering the fact that they had picture proof, Scott would be the one to replace him, fishing with Hailey.
These two pairs would join up with Rook and Huey to make up the six participating in the game.
"Tch, I still think it should have been me doing this." Toxsa said.
"Yeah well we don't exactly have room to allow mediocre fishing." Hanamiya said.
"Mediocre? At least it's better than no fishing. I didn't hear you say a word about wanting to play."
"That's because I don't know how to fish."
"My point exactly."
"Which is a dumb point. Do you want us to lose?" Kageyama said to him.
"You know what? I'm just gonna stop talking now."
"Alright guys. One catch each. Take as long as you'd like. And go wherever you think you feel you've got the best shot in catching a fish. And don't worry, if you get a dud, I won't count it against you. You can keep trying until you get an actual catch. I know that feeling all too well so don't stress yourself too much about it." Chooki said to the six after they were given the fishing rods. "Alright. Go ahead and get started guys!"
All six put their lines in the water.
"Also, please try not to be so loud. You'll scare away the fish and probably mess up your teammates' concentration in the process." He said to the non-participants. "Meaning the game will go on longer than it has to."
"In other words, this isn't the time for any of the stuff the usual suspects will try to pull in games like this." Weiss said.
"I know Kaz asked this earlier, but you never gave an answer because other things started to happen. What exactly made you want to choose fishing? Like you said, you could have chosen any other sport. So why this?" Jotaro asked Chooki.
"Well, for one, like I said, I wanted to make sure you guys did something that you never did before this season for one. Bonus points if you never did it any other season at all. Although, I say this as I never watched any of the other seasons. But that's not the point. The point is I wanted to have you guys do something truly peaceful, but still pretty challenging nonetheless. I wasn't going to pick anything that wasn't going to be the latter for you. I love a good challenge and competition, so of course I'd put out what I put in." Chooki explained. "Look, you're travelling across different worlds through the multiverse. It'd be a surprise if things didn't get hectic a good bit. But, it's nice to be able to do something that isn't hectic or intense. Because boy, volleyball, soccer, all those sports can get pretty intense, without powers. I know some of you already know that pretty well from experience." He added, looking at the three volleyball players.
"And that's pretty much it. And oh yeah, doing things like this also highlights some skills that could easily be handwaved with all of the abilities, weapons, spells and monsters being thrown out. It's always a surprise to see when someone you don't expect does or doesn't know how to do something like this or cooking."
"You know what's crazy? You're right. It is a surprise. I really would have never expected Toxsa to have known how to fish." Rally said. "Or Kagami to have been such a great cook. I know people say looks aren't everything, but it's still a lot no matter what people say. And they just don't look like the type that could do either at face value. No offense, obviously."
"None taken. To be honest, I didn't expect to be doing half the things I do since being a Tenkai Knight." Toxsa said, taking out his core brick and looking at it. "Unbelievable how many things have changed for me in my life and it doesn't even feel like it half the time. But, of course, I'm the only one in my house that even really notices. The only thing my parents and my sister think is that I just made some friends. Which is true but, what they don't know is the reason why it happened. I don't even think they even thought about that. I think they're just happy that I'm not inside all day, outside of doing any work at the diner. It's hard to imagine being a kid that just has their normal old life every day, not even caring about the fact that they could get brickified or their world gets invaded at any second. And that's just because they don't know about it more than anything else."
"Yes. Ignorance is bliss." Gen said.
"Pretty much. Pretty much."
"Wouldn't that apply to your own family too?" Hailey asked, still trying to pay attention to her line. Nothing bit yet.
"Well yeah, I guess so. But in their case, it's different. For my sister, she's worried about working, her own life, taking care of me, when I clearly don't need to be all the time, etcetera. And my parents, they're thinking about the normal parent stuff to think about. I'm really talking more about people my age because they don't have all of that other initial stuff to worry about."
He and everyone else started to hear louder water splashing.
"I believe I have something!" Rook said, the source of the extra noise.
"I... think so too!" Happy said, seconds later.
"What? Really? And I don't have anything? Not fair." Natsu said.
"Well what are you guys waiting for? Pull 'em in!" Chooki encouraged.
"Come on!" Happy said, trying to pull in the fish. When both of them pulled, Happy had a pretty standard sized fish, while Rook's was larger.
"You were having that much trouble, pulling in that little fish?" Axl said to Happy.
"It was trying to get away."
"Yeah! First catches of the day! Nice job guys!" Chooki said to the two.
"Let's hope the others have something just as good, if not better." Chef commented.
"That I can agree on."
"You know Toxsa, you saying that about people your age makes me pretty nostalgic. Because at one point, that was me. I know I've said it a couple of times being here, but sometimes, I honestly think things were better for me when everyone didn't know who I was. Which I think was the exact opposite of how I felt back then. Some days I would think, 'If only Cash, JT and every other person I was classmates with could see what I do.' Heck, I even imagined that I could pretty much get an automatic excuse to come in late if someone was threatening the city." Ben said. "Saving the President should have been enough to get me something, right?"
"Wait, you mean the President of the United States, right? That President?"
"Yep. It was during a baseball game. The Little League World Series to be exact. Someone was using robot players to cheat and advance their way to the World Series against my hometown team in Bellwood, the Cannons. But it wasn't to win. It was so they could kidnap and replace the President with a robot. Why baseball? Well, more than likely they knew prior about his love for baseball. The 'they' later being revealed to have been the Forever Knights. Of course, I, grandpa and my cousin Gwen didn't know that coming in. We just went because Bellwood was playing. When Gwen did her usual research, this time about the opposing team, the Squires, how I didn't catch that until a while later is beyond me, that's when she realized something was off. That something being that they were cheating, like I said earlier."
"Man, to be congratulated by the President of the United States must have been something really special for you back then. Makes sense why it would be an unforgettable moment." Dwayne said.
"Actually, I wasn't congratulated. Secret identity and all. I had to go in on the field to play and make it seem like I was Cash, you know, one of the two bullies that I mentioned earlier, that was playing for Bellwood along JT. That was so we could stop the kidnapping and replacement. So, with all that being said, Cash ended up taking the credit, even though he and JT were taken and replaced by robots too. Guess no one thought about that."
"Ouch. Yeah I know that's gotta sting for you." May said. "Especially when the credit was given to the people that bullied you. And I bet they ran off with it too without a single thought."
"Well yeah. I got to stop a plot to have the president kidnapped and have the country and its government be turned over all under everyone's noses and I don't get credit for it. I think most people would feel a little peeved they didn't get credit for that. But, I did get over it, so there's that."
"Well, glad you weren't too hung up over it."
"Well, I had a few things help out with that. For one, I got to learn a valuable lesson about cheating and fair play. Two, I got to hang up and wedgie JT and Cash again as XLR8 so there's that. And three, I actually got my credit later. And it came in at the best time too. Lieutenant Steel helped us out. That Indiana incident that briefly got mentioned when Frank was here, that was when it happened. I guess at some point he told the President about what really happened and who was involved, without mentioning my name specifically. But he did mention my grandpa's name and Gwen's. And because of that, as a courtesy from him for saving him, we were free to go from that arrest from the Special Forces and SECT. Which was a good thing too. Especially for Frank. The guy that led the Special Forces, can't remember his name, he was going to take Frank in and put some of what happened with the incident on him and Rebecca along with us, even though we weren't even around when it started."
"Why frame him when the opposite was true then? Do you know if there was a motive?" Rally asked.
"Yeah. Guy held a grudge against him for what he did to one of his friends at the Willamette Incident. Another member of the Special Forces. Which was beating him on a tank. When he got knocked out, he fell into the zombies that were surrounding it. I think you know the rest. Really having trouble remembering his name too. But it was the guy that was in charge of the clean-up squad for the mall I think. Frank could tell you better than I could. After all, it was his experience. Wonder how he's doing, anyway."
"Fine, I hope. I'll admit that I don't know him very well, but I don't wish for someone like him to not have a way to pay his bills from what I do know about him."
"I don't know, but I can tell you one thing, I think we just hit the jackpot!" Natsu said before pulling so hard that the fish he had came flying out off the hook. A few seconds later, it fell back down to the ground. It was larger than Happy's and was around the size of Rook's fish.
"Woah, looks like you caught a bass, nice one!" Ceylan said to him.
"That's actually not a bass, but still, nice catch." Guren said.
"Hey, I got one!" Scott exclaimed. Unlike the others, this one had a snake-like appearance and large pointed heads.
"Okay, which one is this one?" Ceylan asked.
"That's a Barracuda." Jotaro said to him.
"Ah, gotcha."
"Wow, a Barracuda? Let's see if I can one-up that. Or plus one it at least." Hailey said.
"With how long these fish are going to be out, there's no use in putting them back in." Diego pointed. "Man, I know they're delicious but seeing them like this makes me feel bad."
"I don't see why. There's always more fish in the sea." Ceylan said. "It's not like they'll all just go extinct from just this one game."
"Well yeah but, look at their faces. But it's the moving around that does it for me."
"Dude, are you really about to cry over fish?" Toxsa asked.
"No! Maybe not cry but, feel really bad about it."
"You sure? Because it looks like you're about to."
"Got one!" Hailey exclaimed proudly with her eyes closed before pulling out said fish. "Behold!"
"Yep. We see it alright. That's a boot." Tsukishima said.
"Huh?" She looked closer at he was talking about. And it in fact was an old yellow boot. "Whoops."
"I got one!" Huey exclaimed, pulling out a decently sized fish.
"Nice! And this time it actually is a fish!" Ceylan exclaimed.
"Yeah well so is this next catch!" Hailey declared. "Whenever I get one that is."
After about a minute or two she was able to catch a fish.
"Alright. Nice job everyone! Let's see how you stack up against the competition." Chooki said.
A scale was brought out to weigh the fish. Once all three teams' fish were weighed, the winner was announced.
"Alright, the winner of this game is..."
...
...
...
...
"The Kings!"
"Yes!" Huey exclaimed.
"Man..." Scott said, slightly dejected after the loss.
"Do we at least get to keep the fish?" Happy asked.
"I hope so. It'd suck if we couldn't." Natsu said.
"That should be the least of our worries at the moment." Lanolin said to them in a stern manner.
"To be fair, that actually is a good question. It's not like we can just put them back in the water and everything goes back to normal." Rally said.
"To answer your question, yeah, you absolutely can! I'm not exactly a participation trophy type of guy, but I am one for effort. And the fact that you at least tried shouldn't be ignored." Chooki said.
"You know, they could always bring that back with them and they can eat it on their own time. Heck, they could make it a replacement for their losing meal if they'd like." Doyle proposed.
"Hold your horses there bud. That last part is a little too far. But, the idea of them bringing it back in general, I don't have any problems with. Because it's not like they don't have their own snacks anyway outside of challenge time. So, I'll allow it. What you do with it is up to you. I don't really care." Chris said.
***Confessional***
Doyle:
"He does realize they can still use it as a replacement anyway right? Ah whatever. I'm not gonna tell him that if he doesn't."
***End Confessional***
The next game was from Beni.
"Okay, so for this game, I'm going to ask you some questions. All you have to do is be the first to answer it correctly. If your team gets the most correct they win." Beni said.
"Oh wow. A quiz. You sure showed us." Ceylan said sarcastically.
"Yeah, like we haven't already done that before this season. Multiple times. With production budget might I add." Toxsa added.
"Guys come on. You wouldn't like it if someone talked about your games." Guren said.
"Except no one did. And at least we tried to come up with something they've never done before." Ceylan said.
"To play a bit of Devil's Advocate here, I didn't watch the show myself. So there's always the chance that whatever I have is something they've done before. And second, something is better than nothing. Also, and this is to Ceylan, you may not like it, but to be frank, your opinion doesn't really matter considering you're not playing." Gen said.
"Yeah, but your situation's different. At least with whatever you came up with in your dojo will actually seem like there was effort into it. Beni is a different story."
"Well, there's nothing we can do it about it now. They'll just have to get on the field and see what happens." Chooki said.
"Exactly. Now let's get started. I need one of you from each team please. And we'll do this for each question." Beni said.
"So how many questions is this going to be exactly?" Huey asked.
"That's a secret. That way, every single one of you will be kept on your toes and try your best. Oh and by the way, the same people can't go in more than one round."
The first three volunteers were Huey, Myron and Murasakibara.
"Okay, first question. What's the one word in the dictionary that's spelled incorrectly?"
"Huh?" Myron said, confused.
"That wasn't a mistake. If you need me to say it ag-"
"Incorrectly." Murasakibara answered.
"That's it! You got it! I didn't expect anyone to get it that fast but, good for you!"
Several "Oh"s were heard.
"Wow. The answer was right on our noses." Huey said.
"That's a pretty clever question, I'll give you that. I was confused too." Ceylan said.
"Question? That's riddle territory." Guren said.
"Okay, who's next?" Beni asked.
Next was Hiruma, Riley and Miyuki.
"Second question. What is the one thing that's always red but is never shy of fighting?"
"Firefighters!" Riley quickly answered before realizing the mistake she made. "No, wait!"
"Nope! Oh and if you get it wrong, you can't try again so choose your answer wisely." Beni said.
"Now you tell us."
"Fire extinguisher." Hiruma answered.
Rats: 2
"Yep! You got it! Remember, I specifically said object."
Adrien, Sophie and Scott would answer question three.
"What can be the smallest and biggest thing in the world?"
"Smallest and biggest thing in the world..." Adrien repeated, thinking with Sophie and Scott doing the same.
"An idea?" Scott guessed after several seconds of thinking.
Breakers: 1
"You got it Scott!"
"Ah now I see. Her challenge is a game riddles. Really interesting choice." Isagi commented.
"What doesn't exist, but still somehow has a name?" Beni asked Yang, Julie and Puss.
"Nothing!" Julie quickly blurted out.
Breakers: 2
"Darn it! You beat me to it!" Yang said to her.
"I have multiple faces, all of them have at least one eye, but somehow I still can't see out of any of them. What am I?" Beni continued, hands on her eyes as if she was blinded. This time to Zee, Reagan and Jotaro.
"Dice!" Zee, Jotaro and Reagan said simultaneously.
"Ooh. A tie. Interesting. You know what? I'll go ahead and give all three of you credit. Someone is keeping track of this right?"
"Yep." Heloise said.
Breakers: 3
Rats: 3
Kings: 1
"Great. So, if you happen to say the answer at pretty much the same time, you'll all get credit. But it has to clearly be the same time. Now let's move on to the next question."
Dewey, Tsukishima and Lotte were next.
"I am everywhere but you can't see me. What am I?"
"Air. Easy." Tsukishima said with Lotte being slightly late. Which was enough for only him to get credited.
"Dang it! I was thinking of light but then I realized that didn't make sense." Dewey said.
Breakers: 4
"These are actually some pretty good riddles. Color me surprised." Ceylan commented as they continued.
"Like I said, they just had to go out and see what happens. And in this case, it was something good." Chooki said.
It was the Kings at 3, the Rats at 5 and the Breakers at 6 now when the next question was given. This time Kagami, Octavia and Ryoma were the ones that would answer.
"I'll always answer it when I need to and ask it the same question, but it can't talk back to ask me anything or answer my question. What am I talking about?" Beni asked the three.
"No, it's not a quiz..." Kagami thought to himself.
"It's a cell phone." Octavia answered.
"Yep! That's it!" Beni exclaimed.
Kings: 4
"Yeah, there's no way he would have gotten that. At least he won't have to go through that again." Toxsa said, already doing his part in the game of riddles himself.
"I guess not..." Ryoma said.
The next three were Bachira, Lanolin and Launch.
"What is the one thing that absolutely cannot lie?" She asked the three.
"It's numbers isn't it?" Lanolin guessed quickly.
"Nope."
"It's the truth!" Both Launch and Bachira blurted out.
"Winner winner chicken dinner!"
Kings: 5
Breakers: 7
Missing the question caused Lanolin to smack a hand on her forehead in frustration before the next person replaced her. That person being Yulaw with Sebastian being the second and Eijun being the third.
"While I have a face, I don't have a mouth. But even so, I can always answer this one specific question for you every single time you ask it, no matter how many times you ask it. What question is that?"
"Hmm..." Sebastian said.
"A face but no mouth. Always answers one question." Eijun thought.
"It would be easier if I actually knew what it was she was talking. But I guess that's the point." Yulaw thought.
"Cards have faces! No... but they don't answer a question though." Eijun thought. "Crap! I have to hurry! The others could get it at any time! But I also can't panic either."
Beni simply stood patiently as she watched the three continue to think.
"Hello everyone! Sorry I'm late!" An old man said, appearing, bags in his hand. He wore an old-fashoined dull red millitary cap, with a yellow bandana and white coat. He also wears glasses and had gray hair with a goatee.
"Shhhh!" Ceylan said, shushing him.
"What's going on?"
"Beni's doing a riddle game. And they're trying to think of an answer." Guren said to him.
"A game of riddles? How unexpected from Beni."
"I'm at a loss." Chooki said. "I've gotten some ideas but they're all leading to answers that just don't make any sense."
...
...
...
Gen making a noise was what got the other Knights' attention.
"Let me guess, you got it?" Guren asked.
"I think so." Gen said.
"I'd love to see if you were right."
"Give up yet?" Beni asked the three.
"Actually, I believe I have the answer." Sebastian finally said. "I'll admit, you gave me quite the runaround. But, the best riddles do that."
"Okay genius. What's the answer then?"
"What time is it!" Eijun blurted out.
"Ding ding ding ding! You got it!" Beni said, pointing to him.
"I figured as much." Sebastian said.
"Well if you 'figured' you should have answered it sooner. Oh well. You snooze you lose. And by the way, that was the last question. Game's over! Who won?"
"Breakers did with eight." Heloise said to her.
"So the game has finished. How many more games remain?" The old man asked.
"Two. Mine and yours. So, you came just in time." Gen said.
"I can see that. Unfortunately, I've missed pretty much everything." The man said before sighing. "But, you're probably wondering who I am. My name is Mr. White. Owner of the Shop of Wonders in the Benham City Mall."
"And also one of our allies." Guren said.
"He's more than just our ally dude. He's the one that gave us the core bricks in the first place from the Guardians." Ceylan said.
"Let's just hope what we have to do isn't like the Tenkai Training we used to do." Toxsa said.
"Is it any crazier than what Guren asked you to do?" Louie asked.
"I wouldn't say crazy. Just... boring."
"Boring is subjective."
"Cleaning up Mr. White's shop is not subjective man."
"Oh."
"But it paid off didn't it? After all, Guren was able to unlock Titan Mode for the first ever." Mr. White said to them.
"Dang it! I hate the fact that he's got a point, so I can't argue with it." Ceylan said.
"Yeah, I refuse to believe you still didn't see that as an opportunity to get some free extra hands." Louie said to him skeptically. "Even if it's just a little bit."
"You know, you are right about that. Killing two stones with one bird." Mr. White admitted.
"Multiple. Remember the shopping?" Chooki said. "And also, you've got that saying backwards."
"Did I say that wrong?"
"Yes. You did."
"Whoops."
"Regardless of how tedious it was, we needed every single bit of it to even have a chance against Vilius when he first went Titan Mode on us." Guren said. "So I say, it was all worth it in the end. Not to mention, we haven't really done it since, so it all works out."
"Oh I'm not disputin' that at all. Even if the play's not drawn up how I like it, as long as our team comes out on top, I'm fine with it." Chooki said. "Speaking of plays, let's run the next one. What have you got Mr. White? Guessing the game is in those bags you have."
"Actually, no. In fact, I don't have plans on doing any game for you all." Mr. White answered.
"Huh?" The main four Knights said simultaneously.
"Why not?" Gen asked.
"Well for one, I'd rather let you all have this day and lead it while I simply watch from a distance. And second, if I was to do one, there is the odd chance of a three-way tie after all six games, forcing a sudden death. Doing this eliminates any possibility of that, and as such, the need for a seventh game."
"I see. Well then, if that's the case, then I'm up. Which means, this next one will be the final trial for the day for you all." Gen said.
"If this is the last game, we should be pretty much covered in terms of immunity." Louie said.
"That isn't exactly a guarantee. Which means, I suggest you all take this game seriously. Now, all of you, in the dojo."
Everyone entered the dojo.
"Now, for this game, four of you from each team will participate. No more, no less. These four will participate for this entire game. No switching out of any kind will be done. Now, I need the following to come up to participate: Myron, Bennett, Paul, Sophie, Lucy, Zak, Mamori, Kise, Aomine, Ben, Hanamiya and Noelle. The four of you on each of your respective teams will be given some Gis for you to change into before you start. There are rooms for you to dress in private down the hall. After you finish getting changed, come back here so we can start."
"And you're certain these will fit, right?" Myron asked.
"If they don't, you can always come back and get another size. We made sure there was enough to try to accommodate as many of you as possible."
Once the twelve finished changing, they all returned. Which team they were on was represented by the color of their shoulder pads. Red was for the Rats. Blue was for the Kings and Purple was for the Breakers. Gen and Beni were also changed, though in the former's case, the shoulder pads were black, representing the main color of his Core Brick and by extension, Dromus.
"Alright, for this final trial you four will play a multitude of rounds. Each round will be a different game. Have the best performance overall and you'll win the trial. The overarching rules of this are that simple. But the rules of each game itself is a different story." Gen began to explain. "Also, for as long as we are in this dojo, you will refer to me as Master. I expect the same amount of respect for me, and this dojo, as I will provide for you. Which means, if you wish to eat any snacks, do it outside of the dojo. My master allowed me to use this dojo for my own use and I would like to treat it, and by extension, him, with the utmost of respect. Which means, some of the shenanigans that you may pull outside of the dojo will not be tolerated here."
"You think him doing this secretly gives him a sense of pride or superiority?" Aomine whispered to Zak.
"Quiet! Your focus and attention should be on the challenges that await you and nothing else. And if you have a question for me, don't hesitate to ask. Now, Aomine, do you have a question for me?"
"Uh, no, I'm good."
"Now then, the first game begins! The Rice Bowl!"
"Ooh the rice bowl. This is gonna be good." Toxsa commented.
Only three from each team were handed small bowls. Those three being Aomine, Zak and Mamori.
"Rice Bowl huh? So is our reward gonna be rice or..." Aomine asked, looking at his, which was blue.
"I hope you have just as much focus as you do jokes." Gen said to him, his own black "Rice Bowl" in hand, not laughing in the slightest, or even cracking a bit of a smile.
"Uh, that wasn't a joke."
"Regardless, focus and pay attention. All of you. First of all, this is a disc. To pass, you must get to the other side of the dojo without dropping it. Fail and you will start over from the beginning. But the trick to this is that you must do it without using your hands. I'll show you exactly what I mean." Gen places the disc on his chest before running. And was able to do just that. When he stopped, he allowed the disc to fall and he caught it. "If you need a second demonstration, let me know. I'll be happy to show you again."
"Wow." Beni commented, genuinely impressed.
"Nah, we're good. We just saw you do basically the impossible so..." Zak said.
Gen quickly approached him and pointed his disc at him. "With that type of mindset you've basically failed before you even made an attempt."
"Yeah man. If I can do it, then so can you." Toxsa said to him.
"Oh yeah? Tell me your secret." Zak replied.
"Toxsa, you will not utter a word about this to assist your teammates. Do so and there will be consequences." Gen warned.
"Alright, alright I won't man. Sheesh."
"Did you forget? In this dojo you will call me-"
"Master. Yeah I got it. I forgot. My bad."
"Do not cut me off again. You would not want me doing that to you. So don't do it to me."
"Got it. Sorry."
"Now then, with no questions or requests for a second demonstration, it is your turn. Remember, you cannot use your hands. Mamori will go fist. Then Zak. Then Aomine."
Mamori nods before putting the disc close to her chest and quickly trying to run. She didn't even last a full second before dropping it.
"It seems someone wasn't the demonstration." Gen said.
She sighed before going back to the start, slightly embarrassed that her first start was a massive dud with Gen leaving a comment like that on top of it. She already knew that he was more than likely referring to her running form compared to Gen's, whose hands was back behind him compared to Mamori, who was running like normal.
"Yeah, well, I was." Zak said before trying it himself. And while it was barely, he was able to get to the end and pass on the first go, matching Gen's running style.
"First attempt? Most impressive. It seems you have. Now, Aomine."
"Yeah, I got it." He said before putting the disc on his chest and running quickly to the end, faster than even Zak. "Yes! You thought that was good Zak, I just-"
"Left your rice bowl at the starting position." Gen finished.
"Huh?" He turned and realized that he dropped the ball about a split second after he took off. He facepalmed and groaned in embarrassment and exasperation.
"Now, back to the starting position. And get ready to try again."
"Second time's the charm. Quit talking and focus." Weiss said to him.
"Right."
This time, Mamori tried to replicate Gen's running style. And while she still wasn't able to get it on the first try, her second attempt was a lot better than the first.
"Better. But better doesn't equal passing. Try again." Gen said.
"I won. I really don't get why I have to wait for them to finish." Zak said to him.
"Because that is what is entailed in this game. Now, be patient."
"Please don't take all day you two." Zak said after sighing, folding his arms.
Slowing down just a bit, Aomine was able to get it on the second try. While Mamori needed an extra try after the next one to be able to successfully get to the end. She could only sigh, being thankful that it was over as she already knew she did the worst out of three, giving no contributions whatsoever.
"Excellent. Now, you three will do it again on the next level."
"Wait, again?" All three said in disbelief.
***Confessional***
Toxsa(Wave Breakers):
"Okay, since I can't say it to any of them, here's how this trial works. You have to try without trying. Do without thinking. Feel without feeling. It doesn't make any sense until you actually do it yourself but that was the hint Mr. White gave to us. And he actually knows what he's talking about. When we all were to able to do it, it didn't even feel like we tried. So if they don't figure that out, it's gonna be a long ten tries for them. Also fun fact, Mr. White is actually a higher rank than Gen. Yes, I'm serious. He's a Ninja Master, Gen's a Master. And no, Mr. White is not the one that trains him if that's what you're thinking."
***End Confessional***
On the next level, there were the moving sandbags from the bow and arrow game along with two hurtles and three cones.
"Now, each of you will have ten tries. Pass within those tries and you'll pass this first challenge. Don't and you fail. You must get through the whole course without dropping it or touching it for any reason. The same order will be used as before. Now, Mamori, start!"
She was able to run past the cones fine but the second she got to the first hurtle and landed, she dropped it. She put her hands on her head after realizing she messed up.
"Next!" Gen called out.
"Esay." Zak said confidently before navigating through the cones and made it past the hurtles. But his perfect run would be thwarted by one of the sandbags, as it hit him on the side, knocking him down.
"What was that about 'easy'?" Aomine said to him.
"Next!" Gen called out.
Aomine quickly made his way through the cones but ended up jumping too far after the first hurtle and ran into the second one, which caused him to drop the disc.
"Next!"
"You're going too fast. This isn't a race. Slow down." Isagi said to him.
"Yeah, noted." Aomine said.
Mamori tried again, but looking down just a bit was what made her lose focus and land awkwardly, dropping the disc again.
"Next!" Gen called out.
Zak's progress on the second go was actually worse, not even getting past the first sandbag before dropping it.
"Really?" Zak said.
"Next!"
On the second go, slowing down again, Aomine was able to get it, catching the disk about a split second after he stopped.
"Pass! Well done." Gen said, bowing to him.
"Thank you, Ninja Master." Aomine said, bowing.
"Do not call me that!" Gen snapped.
"Woah chill man, I kinda got mixed up for a second. No need to get all worked up."
Gen calmed down. "I have not earned that title yet. Mistake or not, it is dishonorable for me to not correct you on that mistake when I have yet to match the work and progress those that have reached that rank have. For now, I am still a Master. And you will address me as such."
"Got it. Again, I'm sorry about that."
"Don't worry about it. If you're truly sorry you'll try your best to ensure that doesn't happen again."
"Right."
Zak was finally able to get it on the third try, but Mamori was still struggling, on her eighth attempt.
"What are they doing that I'm not? I don't understand it!" Mamori thought.
She tried to go a little faster to replicate their quickness, but that failed as she ended up tripping on one of the hurdles and hitting her face right on the first sandbag.
"Again!" Gen said to her as she slowly came back, taking in a deep breath, more out of mental fatigue than physical.
"Hey! Manajerk! Get your head out of your a[censored]!" Hiruma yelled out. "Stop thinking so damn m-" Before he could finish, Gen was in his face.
"Watch your language. When we are in this dojo, you will not use any language that would taint it. Do it again, and I will ask for your removal from it. For the rest of the day." Gen said to him, in a tone that showed he was deadly serious.
Hiruma closed his eyes before deciding to fall in line with what he was told. "Fine."
"Glad we could come to an understanding. Now, Mamori, begin when you're ready!"
"Heh, he's even got Hiruma scared." Todd commented.
"It's not fear, it's respect. I suggest you learn the difference. Moreso for the real world, not here."
"Anezaki, this isn't football. You don't have any reason to use that brain in that big forehead of yours like it either. Hurry up and get through this and get it over with!" Hiruma said to Mamori.
She was a little shocked to hear him say her real name when it was always a nickname of some sort, mainly "manajerk" or some variant of "f*cking manager". And it wasn't because of Gen forcing him to be PG when "manajerk" clearly wasn't a swear word. So why did he call her that?
"Hey! Do you have cream puffs in your ears or something! He said you can go, now ready up and go!" He called out.
She snapped out of it and nodded. "Right!"
She put the disc back on her chest and began to run through the obstacles. But unfortunately, when she got to the second sandbag, it her from the right and knocked her down.
"Ooh, too bad. And she really looked determined after that one." Beni commented. "Oh well." She said, shrugging.
"Well, if she wasn't going to get it after... I think that was a pep talk? She's definitely not gonna get it on this next one." Ceylan commented.
"Actually, she just might." Chooki commented as Mamori quickly got up and went back to the start to try again. "Something tells me that this one's gonna be the one where she breaks the plane."
"I don't know about that one, but, I guess someone's gotta be glass half-full."
"No, I think Chooki might be on to something." Guren said, continuing to closely watch the competition.
"I hope he's not." Toxsa said.
Mamori placed the disc on her chest before running around the cones, then jumped over the two hurtles. And without hesitation, ran through the sandbags, avoiding all of them.
At the end, she dropped the disc, unable to catch it, but it didn't matter much as she was already at the end.
"Pass!" Gen called out, with cheers from her own team after hearing this.
"Ten attempts. It took her the last one, and she gets credit for it like she did it earlier. Come on." Zak said.
"Like you didn't benefit from the same thing? Get outta here." Aomine said to him.
"Not as much as she did. And I got past the first one without trying too."
"You can complain about the results all you want. What's done is done. Now, everyone is tied at one apiece. The first run was simply training and will not be reflected in the final score." Gen said.
"Well that's even worse. Flawless first run, for nothing."
"You've got a lot to learn if that's what you think."
"Not what I think, it's a fact."
"More like fiction." Gen countered. "We will now move on to the next game! Please be patient."
"Nice one. It may have taken you ten tries but you didn't quit, and that, I can ultimately respect." Sendo said to Mamori as Beni, Gen and the three main Knights began to move the obstacles out of the room and put them somewhere else.
"Thanks. The funny thing is, it didn't even feel like I-" Mamori started before she gasped.
"Tried?" Hiruma finished, smiling.
She smiled back and nodded.
"So that was the key to getting past this. I get it now! Do it but don't try." Kagami said.
"You mean the Yoda quote? I guess." Rick said. "Long as she got it, I don't really care."
"Not what I was thinking of to be honest. I mean like don't overthink it. Rely on your instincts. The second you overthink it is the second you make a mistake."
"Go with the flow basically." Morty said.
"I guess that's another way to put it. To be honest, I'm kinda drawing parallels with how animal instinct works. How I feel when I use it if that makes sense."
"Something told me that that's what you were using for reference." Kise said.
"I don't get it. How did you figure she'd get it? All signs pointed to no for me. Except for two it seems. Yours and Guren's." Ceylan asked Chooki as they put down one of the hurdles they were carrying in another room.
"Her body language was different. Even though she didn't get it on that ninth try, her failing on that one was completely different than all of the other times."
"Wait a second, so you mean to tell me, whatever the heck that was that Hiruma did worked?" Ceylan asked, eyebrows raised as they went back to the other room.
"Yep. She was in her own head, and he got her to get out of it and stop thinking so much, you know, the key to beating that challenge."
"I guess."
"You're still confused? Well, put it this way, it's like... when you're a comedian and the jokes don't land. So you try to force it or another one that's even more over the top and it actually makes things worse rather than better. It's the same thing for her. Those failures started to get in her head, especially seeing Aomine and Zak get through it, even if Zak took a little longer the second time around. So she started to try to go as fast as them, pay attention to things like the sandbags, where she was landing more, etcetera. More than she should. And it made things worse. It may not be instant, but being natural with your jokes will lead to better results than trying to force it. Same thing with this. Don't overthink your movements and decision making too much. You'll end up distracting yourself and making a mistake." Chooki explained as the twelve participants were given plastic swords with colors that matched their teams'.
"Alright, that was a mouthful. To be honest, I actually got it before you started explaining all of that. I was just saying 'I guess' because I understood the message, I just didn't understand how the heck he was able to deliver it that way."
"Oh. My bad."
"All good. But uh, I think it's best if you stick with the sports analogies. That was a good try, but not good enough. You wanna talk about forcin' something, that was forcing it."
"Really? That wasn't good? Man, shows what I know." Chooki said, grabbing the back of his head, laughing a little after.
"Alright, for this next challenge, all twelve of you will be participants." Gen started.
"So uh, where's the game? I don't see anything you guys brought back." Ben asked.
"Look up." Paul said to him, already doing that himself. On the roof was what seemed to have been a digital red and black cage.
"Ooh I know this one!" Toxsa said.
"Don't say anything." Gen said to him. "This is a game called 'The Cage of Many Snakes'. Your objective is to enter this cage and strike down the snakes as they appear." He explained as snakes appeared randomly throughout the cage.
"So like a caged edition of whack-a-mole. Cool." Kise said.
"I suppose so. Like games, you'll need to score as many points as possible in three minutes. The highest score wins. Although, unlike when they went in, this one will not be individual. All four members of each team will go in at once per team, meaning there will be three sessions. You can only use your swords to attack the snakes. Using any type of other tools or abilities to do so isn't allowed and is an instant team disqualification. Any questions?"
Aomine considered it but changed his mind, knowing that what he was about to ask was silly enough for him to just keep it to himself.
"Alright then. Aomine, since you finished first on the last game, your team will go first into the cage. All of you need to be in the cage before it lowers."
All four members went in with it lowering seconds later.
"Ready? Begin!" Gen called out as the timer began to start, activating the game.
Red digital snakes began to stick out from the walls of the cage along with the ground in random places, with the only places the snakes did not appear from being the roof.
The second Aomine tried to hit one of them he missed as a buzz noise was heard to also indicate this.
"Damn it."
He tried to hit another but Ben inadvertently blocked his way as he himself was trying to go for another.
"Hey! I had that one!"
"What? Oh, sorry." Ben said, still trying to pay attention to what he was doing. After a couple of misses himself, he was finally able to hit one of them but also accidentally hit Sophie on the head after.
"Watch what you're doing!" Sophie said.
"Sorry! Sorry!"
Paul, missing one of the snakes trying to watch out for the others, accidentally elbowed Aomine in the back of the head.
"Dude, come on!" Aomine said to him, already getting frustrating from the misses that were piling up.
"This is not going to work." Paul said, starting to build up misses himself.
"You're tellin' me."
"To avoid constantly hitting each other, and getting in our own way, how about we each take a wall to strike at?" Sophie said.
"You know what? I actually like that. Sophie, you're a genius." Ben said.
The four split off into the four walls and started to find more success with this strategy compared to when they were attacking grouped up.
Unfortunately for them they changing strategies doesn't give them a do-over as time expired a little under minute and a half later.
Their final score was being calculated.
Final Score: 120
"120. Would be a good score, if this was done individually." Mr. White said to them.
"If only we would have thought of that wall strategy earlier." Ben said.
***Confessional***
Aomine(Storm Kings):
"A Master and toy swords is what you use for training? That's actually what I was going to say to Gen but decided not to and kept it to myself. I get making sure no one gets hurt with real ones, but you couldn't even afford to do wooden swords?"
***End Confessional***
"Zak's team, you're up next!" Gen called out.
"If we designate an area of the cube we attack from, we should be able to get a good score and remove some of the random factor of this game." Myron suggested as they made their way towards the cube.
"So you mean ignoring the other areas? Wouldn't that limit our opportunities to score points?" Noelle asked as the cage lowered.
"Ready? Begin!" Gen said.
"Better idea. We does this by twos. One half to one pair, and the other to the second pair. We can either occasionally check the floor or ignore it. Up to you." Hanamiya proposed.
"That works. Now let's get going!" Myron said.
Myron and Hanamiya were one pair while Zak and Noelle were the second pair.
Several scenes of them attacking, hitting and occasionally missing the snakes that randomly appeared was shown before the three minutes eventually expired.
"Time!" Gen called out.
Their score was calculated.
Final Score: 315
"315! Well done!" Mr. White exclaimed.
"To think, that's we could have gotten if we would have been organized from the jump." Sophie said before sighing.
"Nice job!" Hanamiya said before high fiving Myron and Noelle, with Zak declining.
"Yeah, no. I don't do high fives. Too weird." Zak said.
"What's weird about that?" Julie asked.
"Nothing. I just don't think he likes doing it because it makes him look uncool." Ayame said.
"Uncool wouldn't be the right thing to say. More like what I said earlier. Feels way too weird for me to be doing that." Zak said.
"Mamori's team! Let's go!" Gen called out.
"Okay, before we start, how are we going to tackle this?" Lucy asked her three teammates.
"One of us goes to each wall and occasionally gets the ground too." Bennett proposed as the caged was about to lower.
"Honestly, I thought about us sticking as a group and doing lunges outward so we can get the ground, but that works too." Kise said.
"Alright, that works. Let's do it!" Mamori exclaimed.
"Ready? Begin!"
"Dude, this is so disappointing. This literally could have been us if we came up with this sooner." Aomine said as the Rats' group of 4 played.
"Let's hope there's another game for us to be able to redeem ourselves." Sophie said.
Similar to before, the Rats were seen attacking the snakes as they appeared out of the whiles, missing some and hitting others until the time expired.
"Stop!" Gen called out. Their final score was being calculated.
Final Score: 274
"274? What the heck happened?" Kise said.
Bennett sighed. "Most of the misses were probably from me. Just had trouble figuring out where they would go."
"They're random, you're not going to be able to predict them. You have to be able to react fast enough." Kise said.
"Actually, being able to anticipate them is even better. At least, that's what Master Gen told me." Guren said. "Don't just react. Be one step ahead of your opponent. In this case, your opponents are the snakes."
"Right. Regardless, you all did pretty well all things considered." Gen said. "Now, on to the next game."
A montage of some of the next games were seen.
These games included having to cross the dojo, all while Beni threw balls at each individual member, who were all blondfolded, their only defense being blocking. Three hits would knock them out of the game.
No one was able to get through unscathed, but Myron and Bennett were the ones that clearly had the most trouble, with both of them failing horribly. And as for Paul, he was hit one last time right at the end. The Breakers would seal their sole victory in this game with Zak intentionally blocking Lucy's path, causing her to get hit and making it seem as if he was trying to be careful and block.
Afterwards, their next game was to simply hold a broom. The first person to drop the broom would cause their whole team to lose.
"Man, Gen's really puttin' em through the wringer. Not even we had to do this much." Chooki said.
"I know. But, I guess that's because he knows he can push them a lot more than us." Guren said.
"He hasn't watched the show. How would he know that, though?' Ceylan asked.
"But he did go against them in one episode. That's probably enough evidence right there."
Several minutes passed.
The second a "clack" was heard, everyone turned to see who it was that cracked first.
"Sorry guys. My arms just... kinda got tired?" Lucy said, even though she already knew that excuse wasn't going to work for her teammates.
A few minutes later, Myron looked as if he was the closest to caving in as his arms were shaking along with him grimacing. "At this point, you can drop it. I don't even care." Zak said to him.
"Don't listen to him! Keep holding it up!" Noelle said. "Why would you even tell him to do that?"
"I mean look at him. What's one more screw-up to add to the list?"
"You got this Myron. Just hang in there." Hanamiya said.
"I'm... trying!" Myron said, his arms still shaking as he looked at the opposing four from the Kings. They didn't exactly look like they were in great shape in either, but they looked a lot better than him.
"MYRON! DON'T GIVE UP!" Kaz yelled out. "Remember when Taiga wanted you to do the same thing in the Gurao training? But you didn't! And look where it got you. Keep going!"
"I don't get it, why is it so hard to hold up a broom?" Ceylan asked.
"It's the attrition." Sendo started. "Obviously things like this is going to be easy to hold for a few minutes. Like nothin'. But try doing this for twenty. Thirty. An hour. Eventually at some point, your muscles will start to feel it. And Myron's feeling it the worst. But someone's not that far behind." This caused Ceylan and some others to look at the remaining eight.
"I know your body's tellin' you to quit, but you can't give up!" Aomine said to Sophie.
"Easier said than done." Sophie said, slightly grunting.
"Let's make sure it's the last part, alright?" Ben asked, not exactly far off from how Sophie was feeling.
Everyone started to focus on Sophie and Myron, knowing those two would be the deciding factor for this.
"I... can't do it anymore! I just... can't!" Myron said before dropping the broom. He sighed, already knowing he let down his team, again.
"Well, it's a good thing for you someone else dropped theirs first." Gen said.
"Huh?" He looked over and saw where it came from. Sophie dropped hers.
"Not gonna lie, I was this close to dropping mine." Ben said.
"What good is that to admit now when the game's already over?" Aomine asked.
"Surprised Paul didn't have anything to say." Bennett said, arms exhausted himself.
"Probably because his arms are just as exhausted." Old Bennett said, appearing, scaring his younger self.
"Perfect timing." His younger self said sarcastically.
"We'll stop there. For now at least. We're going to have a bit of a break for a short meal before we move on to the last set of games. But, I need Zak's team to sit out when we do. Why will be explained later. But just know that you're not in danger of losing." Gen said.
"Which is where what I've brought come in. What is in these bags is actually food for you all to enjoy!" Mr. White exclaimed.
"Wait, really!?" Kagami said, already looking forward to the food.
"Yes, really! Enjoy a picnic lunch on me!"
"It's not gonna be salty crackers and tea is it?" Toxsa asked.
"No, silly!"
"Come on, you can't be mad at me for asking. It's happened before. Even if it was for snacks."
Once the food was grilled, there were choices for burgers, chips, sandwiches, an assortment of fruits along with drinks and other smaller snacks. And even crackers. Even Chris, Chef, Doyle and Heloise were welcome to the food. Rice was also an option, which was what Gen chose to eat, along with a couple others. Like Paul and Shiro.
"Rice? That's all you wanted man?" Aomine asked Paul.
"If we're playing a game again in the next few minutes, stuffing myself isn't a good idea. It'll just bog me down." Paul explained.
"I guess. Ain't a problem for me. But, whatever floats your boat." He said with a part of the burger he was eating in his mouth, shrugging before going to sit with some of his other teammates.
Beni sits down next to Gen, apple in hand. "You must have really enjoyed that huh?" She asked him.
"Enjoyed what?" Gen asked, not exactly overjoyed that Beni of all people interrupted his silent time alone to eat. But he wasn't going to brush her off.
"That whole dojo thing. Being able to order everyone around, have them call you master."
"I don't get any enjoyment out of that. Because there's none to be had from it."
"Ba-lo-neyyyy. Come on Gen, with all of the time you spent hunting for the Dragon Key, the Dragon Cubes. Hunting for power. You mean to tell me that didn't even slightly feel good? Or, let me rephrase that. Fun?" Beni asked, eating some of the apple after.
"Beni, if you're hoping things will be like how they used to be any time soon, you can forget it." Gen said bluntly. "Anything else you wanted to chat about?"
Beni smiled. "Nah. I can clearly tell you want your me time, so I'll leave you alone. Later!" She said before getting up and giving the "peace sign" gesture.
Gen could only watch as she walked off, with him only closing his eyes and shaking his head.
"So Mr. White is a grill master too? Why do I feel like that was something made up?" Adrien said, eating a grilled chicken sandwich.
"Nah, it's true! You can ask Gen!" Guren insisted.
"You know, I just might. If I could find him."
"He's probably off to himself. I think you have a pretty good idea of those types."
"Yeah. We have more than a few of them around here." Sena said before he saw Beni politely asking Mr. White for seconds in the snacks when him more than happy to let her help herself.
"This question's been rattling around in my mind for a while. Well, a couple actually." Adrien started.
"Shoot." Guren said.
"Well for starters, what's the whole deal between Beni and Gen? And second, Gen was once with Vilius, right? Well what made him want to turn a new leaf?"
"Well, at one point, Gen and Beni used to fight with each other. By that I mean as partners. And eventually, he changed."
Flashback to Tenkai Knights Episode 26- A New Knight
Dromus, in Titan Mode, jumps in front of Bravenwolf, Beag and a few Corekai soldiers as Vilius loomed over them with the Tenkai Dragon.
"Dromus!" Beag said, surprised.
"Dromus! What are you doing?" Bravenwolf askeed.
The dark Bravenwolf contemporary turned his head towards his counterpart. "I've been thinking. Maybe you were right. I've been searching in all the wrong places for something that was right here. Staring me in the face all along." Dromus said.
"That's good." Guren said, in an uneasy tone, unsure of what to make of what was happening.
"Your words really got to me. Anyway, I realize where I went wrong in my search for power. I was looking to gain strength by reviving the Tenkai Dragon. But my real strength is inside me. Waiting to be unleashed. I know what I have to do. Revive the dragon then defeat it! And then, I will be the strongest of all!"
End Flashback
"That doesn't sound like a guy that changed to be honest." Kise said.
"No one ever said it was gonna be perfect. At least in the beginning. Sometimes, you gotta take what you can get. Or, if Chooki were explaining this, 'take what the defense gives you'." Guren said.
"Exactly. Something is better than nothing. I mean, no one expected Haizaki to change at all. It may not be the change everyone wanted, but it's something right?" Adrien said.
"When you put it that way, I guess so. To be honest, I didn't expect it myself."
"Yep. They say good things come to those who wait. I mean, no one was really waiting for it but, you get my point. And eventually, we got to this. Master Gen giving out training." Guren said. "You know, it's funny, we had something real similar to this. A time to cool off. With a barbecue. And I invited Beni over. Then, the next time we were summoned, same day, she tried to attack us. Honestly, I don't blame anyone for thinking that was the final straw. And it may have been for me even. But... I've still got faith that she can change for the better. Why? To be honest, I think she wants to. But, she doesn't know how. I'm not justifying any of the things she's done. Just like I wouldn't with Gen. But, all of the good things she's done. Some of them were genuine, even if she doesn't want to admit it."
"You sure she's not just doing it just because that's who she is? There's also the case of people that unfortunately don't want to change." Sena said, thinking of Agon.
"No. I'm sure of it. When I mentioned something about everyone needing help and friends, she started laughing before saying something about how eventually friends will get in your way. And that you'll feel sorry you had them. She sounded like she was about to cry and then ran off. And then when I mentioned something about home and the memories of barbecuing with my dad, she suddenly left. Mind you, the second one was on the same day of the barbecue that I just mentioned. Before the whole thing with attacking us on Quarton."
"Now I get it." Adrien started. "Something must have happened with someone really close to her. That she trusted. And I'm guessing whatever it was, it hurt her a lot. So now, doing this is her way to try to cope with it. I'm almost certain that that laugh wasn't because she thought what you said was funny. That was a laugh of pain."
"What about Gen? They are next-door neighbors after all. Were they not friends?" Sena asked.
"Honestly, I don't know. And even with several things changing with all of them, I still don't know. She insists being alone is better. But, that clearly wasn't the case during the time she was with Gen." Guren answered.
"And I think he's one of the people that hurt her too. Even if it wasn't intentional." Adrien said.
"Do you really think that?"
He looked forward in the distance at Chooki talking with Kurita as he patted him on the back. "Yeah. I do."
Meanwhile, Beni was shut down by Kunigami the second she tried to talk to him about relating to working solo.
"Throwing stones and hiding to draw people only shows how weak you are more than anything else. Take away those stones and you don't have anything. That is nothing like me. Now go take your weak a[censored] insecurities and try to project them on someone else." Kunigami said.
"Well jeez. You're even more of an animal in person." Beni said.
"Apparently you didn't get the message, so let me say it in a different way. F[censored]. Off. And go talk to someone that actually is your friend. Oh wait."
"Two strikes. You apparently weren't listening to anything I said earl-"
"I heard it you moron. I just didn't care. Because I know it's BS. NOW GO AND BE SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM YOU F[CENSORED]ING WORTHLESS A[CENSSORED] B[CENSORED]H!"
Beni laughed out loud.
"Hey! What the heck is going on here!?" Doyle said, being the first to get to the two as Kunigami's yelling made a scene.
"Nothing." Kunigami said before getting ready to leave before being stopped.
"Dude, come on. I know it's Beni and she really does know how to annoy people, but that's too far." Ceylan said to him, standing aside Randy and Toxsa.
"I don't need you people defending me. I never asked for it." Beni said.
"Even so," Gen started before Beni cut him off.
"I said I'm fine. What part of that do you not understand?" Beni said before starting to walk away before stopping. "Just let me know when we can get started again alright? That's the one thing I am okay with you doing for me." She walked away, eyes closed, still frowning as she grabbed a small yellow trapezoid-like object out of her pocket. It was hung on a rope, allowing it to be worn on the neck.
"I don't understand. What is this?" An even younger Beni asked her father, wearing blue pajamas white white cuffs. He held a red and yellow trapezoid-like object in front of her. Though in this case, it wasn't hung on a rope.
"To be honest sweetie, I don't know. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be the one to figure it out." He replied before laughing. "Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to. That, is my job. Unless you want to work with me when you grow up."
"Hmm... maybe. Will I get to go see that planet with you?"
"Well..." He thought about telling her that a lot more needed to be done before that happened but knew that she wouldn't really care about much of that. But he didn't want to lie either. "You know what? Maybe."
She clutched the object tighter to her chest before putting it away and slightly sighing.
"Here. Once this discovery is made, you'll be able to let everyone know who did it. Signs are pointing to something big. The same signs that are for you too." He said, giving her a box that had the same object in it.
The still younger Beni looked surprised. "Me?"
"Yep! In whatever you want to do or be in life."
"But, I don't know what I wanna do yet when as a grownup."
"That's okay. No one instantly has the answers for every thing. If we did, I for sure would have been a lot further than I am on this project. But that is what time is for. And eventually, with that time, I know you'll figure that out soon enough. With the help of us you know. And maybe even some friends."
She had an eerily similar dull look in her eyes when she realized one day that her father was never coming back after making "more strides to a breakthrough".
"Somebody help me! Please? I'm lost!" A slightly older Beni said compared to when her father disappeared. She was in the middle of a plaza by herself, on the verge of crying.
She tried to get the attention of some people, but they either didn't hear her or were too busy to listen.
She pulled on a woman's shirt as she was on the phone.
"Can you please help me? I can't find my-"
"Sorry I can't help you right now." She politely said to the girl before talking back on the phone again. "No, sorry. It was nothing. Some kid asking me something. Go ahead."
She pulled on the shirt of a man who was smoking. He had slightly unkempt hair and had a bit of a stubble beard.
"Mister, I can't find my mom. I'm sure she's looking for me too but-"
"Well what the hell do you expect me to do about it? Leave me alone kid! Go sit on a bench or somethin'! Don't you know that you don't keep constantly moving? I swear some people should not have kids! And I should know! Great, now you got me thinkin' of my sister again. And her. I hate those heffers!"
This was what caused Beni to start sniffing even more.
"Aw crud. Here, take thirty bucks. Go buy some candy or something. Just don't be cryin' around me." The man said, giving her said cash. "Just know somethin', no matter what you do, you'll always be worth more to society than those two at least."
She looked at the cash idly as she sat down. Most people would be happy to be given a dollar without having to work for it. Much less thirty bucks. But Beni felt nothing as she idly looked at the money in her hand.
The same idle look that the present Beni had now, sitting down under a tree, idly twirling her hair, looking ahead in the distance.
"Dude, really? It's one thing to be a loner jerk. But that's not just being a jerk." Randy said to Kunigami.
"I told her to leave me alone. She didn't, so I made it more clear for her. Case closed." Kunigami said before getting ready to leave.
Ryoma was about to stop him by running in front of him and intentionally blocking his path but was stopped by Gen, grabbing his shoulder. The samurai turned before Gen shook his head. Ryoma already knew what Gen was trying to get across and stopped.
"Rainy day now this. Something tells me this is Gen's fault. Never had a problem with the other celebrations we had before Gen joined." Ceylan joked.
"Oh dear..." Mr. White said.
"Sorry about all this Mr. White." Chooki said.
"It's quite alright. It's not your fault."
"But, I don't think things will be as good as they were before this." Toxsa said.
"Which is why exactly why I'm ending it here. Let's get to the next trial." Gen said.
***Confessional***
Doyle:
"I know why Gen did it to stop any additional fighting, but still, I'm not a fan of that at all. Calling a freaking kid out of their name? And it's not like she's someone like say Cartman. And even then, you can find other things to say than that. Again, she's just a kid!" Doyle said before shaking his head.
***End Confessional***
"Alright, for this next set of games, some of you will be staying, some will be switched for others. I know I said earlier than none of you would switch, but that was the case for the first half. For the second, that is not the case." Gen said to them. "Now, I need Blaze to switch with Mamori, Zero to switch with Bennett, and Din to switch with Ben. Only these eight need to come into the dojo. The rest of you can stay out here."
"So uh, any reason the rest of us can't go in and watch?" Dwayne asked.
"It's got nothing to do with what happened earlier does it?" Morty also asked.
"No. It doesn't. As for the reason, that's because it isn't necessary." Gen answered. "Now, the eight of you, follow me."
The eight followed Gen inside the dojo.
"Is it me, or is anyone else getting some weird mysterious vibes from Gen? Like, even more than normal." Ceylan commented.
"I'll be honest, I'm a bit curious myself. If he says there's no correlation, more than likely, he had all of this planned out. But for what?" Guren said.
Inside, the eight were all handed coins.
Gen then pulled out a coin himself. "Now, declare your side. Heads or tails?"
"Uh, heads?" Kise said, confused.
"Tails." Zero declared.
"Heads." Paul declared.
Din,Aomine and Sophie declared heads, while Lucy and Rally declared tails.
Gen closed his eyes. "Now, flip!"
All eight flipped their coins.
"It's heads." Paul said, looking at his coin.
"Tails." Kise said.
"Heads for me." Sophie said.
"Same here." Lucy said.
Din, Zero and Blaze also got tails while Aomine got heads.
"So, it looks like some of you got your declarations correct. And some of you didn't. I need those that got them correct here. And the ones that got them incorrect on the opposite side of them." Gen instructed, pointing to the sides of him.
Paul, Sophie, Aomine, Zero and Rally were on the correct side while Kise, Lucy and Din were on the incorrect side.
"Alright, now, for these next games, those that correctly made their declarations will get an advantage in all of them. Those that didn't, will have a disadvantage. Do note that these advantages and disadvantages are individual. Not overall for the team."
"Disadvantage by how much here?" Aomine asked.
"You'll see. But for now, let's get started with the next game." Gen said before a green light suddenly shone behind them, disorienting all of them as they all tried to shield their eyes from the sudden bright light. A light so bright that even those outside could see it.
"What the heck is going on in there?" Kagami said.
"Don't know, but, we're about to find out. Everyone, head on in." Chris said.
"But didn't Gen say-" Guren started.
"Trust me, we're good. Gen talked about this last one with me. I don't know the full details, but he did mention this particular part to me. Now, we can go in."
"It's true. Was around when it happened, so I can vouch." Doyle said with Chef also giving an additional thumbs up.
After hearing this, this seemed to be enough to at least convince everyone to cautiously enter the dojo. And when they did, no one was around. However, there was a screen on one of the walls that showed a rocky desert-like environment.
Zero felt groggy as he got up. He knew something happened after what Gen did. What, he wasn't sure yet. But it seemed to have been enough to knock him out. The second he grabbed his head, he knew something was off. He looked at his hand, and realized that it looked completely different than it usually does. His eyes widened, though you wouldn't be able to notice it with how he looked. His appearance was the same as Bravenwolf's Elemental Firestorm mode.
"Kise. Lucy. Rally. Can you hear me? Come in!" Zero said, holding on to his ear and forgetting that he doesn't have that either.
"Bravenwolf, your teammates are currently in battle. Their current probability of winning is-" The onboard AI started before Zero cut him off.
"I don't care about the probabilities. I just need to know where they are."
"Of course. Simply follow these directions and you will be there with them in no time."
"Right." He follows the directions the AI gives before realizing something as he was running. Something that should be able to get him there faster. "Computer, I should be able to access Titan Mode, right?"
"Elemental Titan Mode is unavailable at this time. Reason: Unknown."
"Great." Zero said to himself sarcastically. "How long have I been out?" He asked the AI.
"If you mean how long have your systems been offline, I am unsure. However, I can tell you how long you have currently been online and active compared to your comrades."
"Close enough. Tell me."
"Your comrades have been online for 12 minutes. This is more than triple of your active time of 4."
"Eight minute difference huh? I don't know what's happening over there, but I just hope they can hang in there!" He said before trying to pick up the pace as much as he possibly could.
Once he got there, the first thing he saw was what someone that looked very similar to himself(as Zero, nor Bravenwolf) get sent flying to the ground hard.
He wiped his face before immediately getting back to the battle. When Zero actually got to the area, it looked to have been one heck of a battle that he missed. One figure, who was actually Kise, was covered in red aura and was battling against Paul, who had become a Lucario. Once he got some distance thanks to Blaze, as Captain Marvel, he raised his hand in the air, creating a yellow energy disc. "Destructo Disc!" He sent the disc at him, but the Pokemon trainer now turned Pokemon was able to dodge the attack easily. He prepared to come at him for a counter but was stopped in his tracks by a fireball. When he turned his head, he saw the source: Zero.
"If I had to guess, I'm guessing this Pokemon is Paul right now." Zero said as a shot flew past Kise, forcing him to dodge as he quickly started to fight Aomine again.
"And you're Zero, right?" He replied.
"Technically, it's Bravenwolf right now. But yeah."
Ding Ding!
"Great. This again."
"I thought we were done with that?"
Paul shook his head. "Even so, I'm still not doing it. Pokemon or not."
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you're not around long enough to where you have to!" Zero immediately dashed in to attack him. And the battle between the two quickly began.
"So, you guys ready to sing again?" Kise said to the others, throwing out twin energy blasts at both Aomine and Din, both of them dodging the attack.
"Eh." Aomine answered.
"To be honest, no." Din said. His armor and weapons seemed to have gotten a massive upgrade, now using Six-Six's arsenal of alien tech weaponry.
"But you almost never sing unless Chris forces you to." Kise said to Din.
"Exactly."
"Honestly, I'm not in much of a singing mood at the moment. Maybe if I didn't have to be a squirrel again with these teeth." Lucy answered, who was Squirrel Girl again. She used her speed to get around the solar blasts sent by Sophie, who seemed to be a fairy. Her clothes were very similar, though this time they were orange. Her shoes were also replaced with orange boots and her hair was now blonde.
"Sounds fun, but no. I need to concentrate." Sophie answered, trying to blast Lucy from afar with the grey scepter that she now wielded.
And Blaze looked as if she wasn't exactly in the mood to do it either.
"Well, guess that leaves you and me." Kise said to Aomine, with the later trying to slice him in half.
"You think you can just casually talk to me after what you did earlier?" He replied, referring to when Kise, recently powered up via the Kaioken for the first time, decked him in the face and sent him flying to the ground. "You know what? I guess I'll do it. Just so I don't hear you whining after I kick your a[censored]. Now let's go."
"If you think I'm just gonna let that happen, think again! I'm here to win too!"

Aomine(Sends a crescent slash Kise's way): Dokokara demo kamawanai ze ore wa tsune ni ueteirun da (I don't care where it comes from, I'm always starving)
Genkai made no shoubu(A battle to the limits)
Kise(After swatting it, he responds in turn with a baseball pitched energy blast): Atarimae no kachi ja nakute isshun sae ki ga nukenai (Rather than a confirmed win, can't relax for even an instant)
Genkai kara no shouri (A victory from the limits)
Aomine: "Sainou" de katazuketenna (Don't dismiss it as "talent")
Kise: Oretachi wa mou (We're already much)
Aomine: mou(much)

Aomine:burn now!
Both:Tori ni ikuze hiku wake ni wa ikanai(Let's get it back, no reason to draw back)
Butsukari au pawaa(Colliding power)
(Instrumental Period Plays)
"KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!" Kise yelled out before powering up again, seeing that Zero was in trouble. Paul had launched him in the air via an unexpected hop kick and was following it up with multiple attacks after, including using Bone Rush. That flurry would end when Kise sent him flying with a punch.
Aomine(Chasing after Kise): Furueru you na shibireru you na wasureteita ano kanji de(Trembling and numb, that forgotten feeling)
Attoteki na puraido(Gives me overwhelming pride)

Kise:Kono toki wo zutto(I've always, )
Aomine: zutto(always)
Both:matteta(always been waiting for this)
Both(Buster shot and energy blast collide, but the latter goes around it, revealed to have been Yamcha's Spirit Ball): Give me fire!
Aomine: fire!

Let me fight now!
Aomine:fight now!
Both:Yuzuranai ze honmono dake ga koreru(Won't surrender, this is the real deal)
Kuukan de no Break out(Break out from this space)
(Longer Instrumental Period Plays)
"Stop running and fight me damn it!" Aomine yelled out at him as he had just sent Din flying into a rock, still powered up by the Kaioken before returning to normal immediately after.
"It's not running. I'm trying to help my teammates! Or did you forget they existed?" Kise replied between breaths, pointing a finger at him and charging up a Dodon Ray energy beam.
The now rebuilt Maverick Hunter blocked the beam with his sword and the two began to exchange quick attacks, fist and blade. "I didn't forget you idiot. I just have faith that they can hold their own unlike you. You're helping them, at the expense of leaving yourself wide open. Not to mention you're using more energy to do it. You're just lucky no one has been able to catch you and make you pay for it yet."
"And let me guess, you're gonna be the one to do it?" Kise asked before punching Aomine in the gut, staggering him and then kicking the Aura Sphere that Paul sent at him right back with Paul dodging the attack and running at him. Kise was too slow to react and it allowed Paul to grab him by the leg and punch him to the ground immediately after. Thankfully for him, Zero was able to step in to help.
"Back off! Worry about your guy!" Aomine said to Paul.
"And you make sure yours can't go around attacking us." He replied before using Double Team. But Kise cancelled it out with Tien's multiplication technique. Once the extra Paulcarios were dealt with, he returned back to normal.
Aomine: "Sainou" de katazuketenna
Kise: Oretachi wa motto
Aomine: motto
Both: Sore ijou dake no takami he
Make me burning!
Aomine: burning!
Both: Mise aouze honnou no kake hiki de
Let me burn now!
Aomine: burn now!
Both:Tori ni ikuze hiku wake ni wa ikanai
Butsukari au pawaa
(Final Short Instrumental Period Plays)
A firestorm ball and another aura sphere collided from both Zero and Paul before both eventually cancelled each other out.
Both: Kuukan de no Break out
*Song Ends*
"Wide open!" Lucy cried out before hitting Sophie in the face with her signature kick, one thing that couldn't be taken away from her, even as Squirrel Girl.
Still on the ground from the kick, she saw Kise in the distance sending more energy blasts rather than fighting at the still relentless Aomine. Blaze, not too far from the two, used Photon Absorber to completely tank Din's shots before flying into him faster than he could anticipate and sent him flying. But instead of hitting him with a finishing blow, she helped Kise, sending a Photon Blast, which was enough for him to look slightly out the corner of his eye at the attack. Which made all of the difference for Kise as he was able to hit him back with a ki blast cannon, blowing him away.
The now superhuman Kise wiped off some of the sweat on his forehead with his arm. "Thanks." He said, breathing hard.
"You're welcome." She replied before flying off to find Din. It was clear as day to her that he was clearly exhausted, even if he wouldn't admit it, which is why she said nothing about it to him.
"Looks like Aomine does have a point. All of those power-ups, while they allow him to punch above his weight, are tiring him out." Sophie thought and then had an idea.
"Solaria!" Sophie called out, sending sun ray blasts upward before they spread and came downwards.
Blaze could feel something above her as she found Din, which was enough for Din to get off a projectile that she couldn't tank, with the net ensnaring her and shocking her with enough electricity to knock her unconscious.
All other Rats were forced to dodge the shots, all except Kise who suddenly stopped. Even so, Sophie's attacked allowed her teammates others to attack, especially Aomine, who was seemed to be the fastest out of the four.
"I GOT YOU!" He yelled out, preparing to turn Kise into swiss cheese.
"Solar Flare!" He declared after quickly putting his hands close to the center of his face, fingers spread towards their eyes, blinding him, Sophie, Din, Paul, and unintentionally, Lucy. Thankfully for Zero, he was on the ground when it happened.
"You ba[censored]ard! Using that old a[censored] move!" Aomine said, eyes still covered as he was in pain.
Kise rose high up into the air. "I know I should tell them something, but if I do, that'll give away what I'm doing. That's not going to keep them blinded for long, so I need to do this right now! I'm sure they'll figure it out and get to safety themselves." He thought.
"Kaioken... times three!"
He then put his hands together and forming a diamond-shaped tunnel on the area of his targets, preparing a tri-beam.
"What the hell is he doing!? A Kaioken and a tri-beam!? Is he nuts!? His body can't take all of that! This dumba[censored] is gonna get himself killed!" Kagami yelled out.
"This is going to put my body through absolute hell. But, I wasn't going to last much longer anyway. I'm already hurting all over anyway. At least this way, it'll end with us winning. Tch, disadvantage... This is what I've got to say to your disadvantage right here!"
"TRI-BEAM! HAAAAAA!" He then releases a large yellow energy beam from the hands.
"What? Everybody! Get out of th-!" Aomine yelled out, still partially blinded. But it was too late.
"Two more. Two more. That's all I need! Please!" Kise thought, body feeling as if it was covered in flames.
A crater was in the ground where the blast was fired.
Aomine roared, damaged but still functioning. But that was more than what could be said for Paul and Din. "KISEEEEEE!" He attempted to quickly jump out of the crater.
"No you don't! This ends now! HAAAAAAAAA!" Kise puts his body through hell a second time, twice as painful as the first. Aomine tries to shield himself, but it wouldn't do much good as he was no more.
"One more! Just one more!" Kise thought, breathing heavily.
"HAAAAAAA!" He sent the last blast, but that was all his body could give before he unconsciously dropped to the ground.
"Heh. We did it." He said before next thing he knew, he saw nothing but black.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back on the island, laying on a bed. When he came to, several of his teammates were standing by him.
"Jeez. With how you guys are standing around me, you make it seem like I was in the hospital or a funeral. It's kinda depressing." He said.
"You should be lucky it isn't either of those." Lanolin said to him.
"For what? If it wasn't virtual maybe." He said before the pain to his body began to register to him. "Wait, that was... real?"
"Sort of. All of you were brought to an isolated area of Quarton."
"Wait, you mean the real Quarton? What happened to it being too dangerous?"
"Yeah, that's what I didn't understand either. But, Gen made sure it was isolated. Where no Corrupted or Corekai would be present."
"As long as we're all okay, that's all that matters. Speaking of which, even if my body feels like this, long-term it's worth it. We won."
Lanolin and X looked at each other after he said this.
"Actually, we didn't." Sendo said, coming out with it bluntly. "The second you did that first Tri-Beam, you passed out. In fact, you were bleeding. Blood was seen on your mouth. And all four of them were able to get out of it. Sophie teleported them out. Even with Blaze going nuclear with Binary Ignition it wasn't enough to take on all four. In fact, Sophie took a page out of your book and blinded them so the others could finish it with a combined attack."
"Not to mention the number of knockouts would determine how many points the teams would get. Turns out, all four trials from Gen counted each as individual points like the others instead of it being all together. Which means, the Breakers won. That last game was for second place." X explained.
"Gen also said he did the advantages and disadvantages to see how each of us would react to them, stating that not all fights would start off fair. Obviously, he already knew there would have to be a winner and a loser. But the lesson was also just as important. That lesson being to always have the same attitude, whether there's an advantage or disadvantage against an opponent. In fact, he said, all of the games had some sort of lesson in them." Adrien explained.
"Are you seriou-" Kise said, beginning to raise his voice and rise up until he yelled out in pain, with Lucy and Mamori gently putting his body back down.
"Yeah, you might not want to do any more of that any time soon." Rick said. "Thought about trying to treat you with something but after how you dogwalked your body, and probably your heart, that's probably not a good idea. Ironically, that might be the thing that'll put you on the deathbed instead of your own."
"I don't get it. If it was that bad, how is it I'm just like this?"
"'Just like this'? Kid, I don't think you understand how serious this is. And what it could have been." Old Bennett said. "Only the portal tech of Quarton saved you. Apparently, when you all got access to all of that wild stuff again, they got it to work the same way as the Tenkai Knight Transformations. Which means, just like the Knights, you can take a bit more punishment than you probably would be able to on Earth."
"Just be glad you knew not to go higher than three. Ten would have probably killed you." Kagami said.
"Oh you mean the Kaioken. At the very least, I got one off and not all of them were in my dreams. Now we've got to worry about the elimination huh? Gonna have to mull that one over for a bit on my own. Regardless, thanks everyone. Really appreciate it." Kise said, smiling.
"No problem man. If you need anything, let us know." Adrien replied.
"Get well soon man." Murasakibara said, handing him two chocolate bars.
"Thanks." Kise said.
"No problem."
When everyone but Mamori left, Aomine and Akashi were there a few minutes later.
"Don't worry, we're not going to take him or anything. Just wanted to make sure he was alright." Akashi said to her.
"Yeah. I'm fine guys. Thanks for checking up on me." He replied.
"Hey, what are teammates and friends for?" Aomine said. "Honestly, I don't know why I didn't think you'd try to solar flare at some point."
"I knew it was only going to work once in this situation. Any other time after would have been snuffed out and stopped easily. And that was best time for it."
"Fortunately though, Sophie was able to get them out. Well, fortunate for us at least." Akashi said.
"Yep. Win's a win." Aomine said.
"I wouldn't say that much. I'd rather not win like that. I'd much rather it be a lot cleaner of a victory. Especially against two that were punching far above their weight class."
"Yeah. Unfortunate that those punches weren't enough to knock any of you out." Kise said.
"Yes. Hence my last statement. Well, I think I'll take my leave. I hope to see you get better soon Kise. A man with talents like yours shouldn't be confined in room on a bed all day."
"Wish I could stick around but, I'm gonna go too. Besides, she looks like she wants to secretly kill me if I even think about touching you." Aomine said before noticing the candy.
"I think you should know who." Kise said.
"You know what? I'm not even surprised." He said, smiling a little. "Big idiot can be nice when he wants to. Well, for real this time, later. Get well soon man." He said before leaving out the room.

Adrien(Radical Rats):
"I didn't want to say it to him, but we've all pretty much agreed to vote him out. No game's that important that it takes priority over your health. I know that's going to tear him up with how much he gave into making sure we won, but I'd rather that than the worst case scenario."

Kagami(Radical Rats):
"I can read through that smile easy. He knows there's a legitimate chance he's gone after today. But he's still trying to convince himself that there's a chance that he might not be. Even if I think it was a stupid decision for him to try that, I can understand why. And hell, if the positions were switched, I might have done the same thing."

Yulaw(Radical Rats):
"He cannot last after today. If he can do that, there is literally almost nothing that he can't do if put in the right situation."

Albedo(Radical Rats):
"While I can respect the effort, effort is not going to be enough to make me reconsider voting for him. In the right situation, he can be a serious threat. For anyone here."

Hiruma(Radical Rats):
"The blondie put everything out there until he passed out. There's literally nothing more I, or anyone else could have expected him to do. Unfortunately for him though, this is a hundred percent going to cost him. He should be lucky it's just money. Because it could have easily been a lot worse."
***End Confessional***
***Confessional***
Lucy(Radical Rats):
"I hate the fact that he has to go out like this. Why couldn't we just get the storybook ending and not this? Just goes to show how cruel reality can be sometimes."

Total Drama Elimination Theme Plays
The Rats were all gathered around that night to tally up the votes that had just been counted.
"Alright. I'm sure you know the situation. You've got to send someone home tonight. And I'm gonna tell you right now, it's Kise." Chris said.
"What? But you didn't even-" May started.
"Don't even try it. Come on. You voted for him too. Do I have to show the results to every single one of you? Literally the only person that didn't vote for him was Kise himself. I mean, I could have went through the motions like usual. Anyone else might have gone through the motions anyway for emotional purposes. Or to preserve someone's feelings. Not me. Moreso because I think it's a waste of time. Now, someone help him get his stuff."
"You know what? I can't even say I'm surprised or disappointed." Becky said.
"Still doesn't justify him doing it. He just doesn't care." Kagami said.
"It's fine. To be honest, I can't even blame you for making that choice. It's frustrating to lose but... at least I know I lost giving it my best." Kise said.
Once he was helped out with his bags, a portal opened.
"Only reason I'm not kicking you out some other crazy way is because of the fact that you were legit bleeding earlier. That portal's to the hospital. Doyle and Chef will help get you checked in. Call your parents, Minako, whoever you need to."
"Wait, how did-"
"Just a guess. I really don't know if you got her number or not. And I really don't care. Please get him in that portal and get him out of here before I change my mind."
"Alright, come on Romeo, let's go." Doyle said, helping him up.
"Please don't grab right there. It still hurts." Kise said to him as he and Chef helped him move into the portal before they came back and got his things.
"The rest of you are safe. For now."

Yulaw(Radical Rats):
"Good riddance."

"Looks like a Miracle tried to work miracles and failed." Chris started before Heloise could only shake her head as she passed by. "Come on, that was like a slam dunk. I had to do it. Okay, that last one wasn't intentional I swear."
"Not listening!" She called out.
"Kids. She's acting like I did a dad joke. Anyways, will I have more puns like that up my sleeve? Find out on next time on Total...Drama...Across the Multiverse!"
A/N: Sorry this one took so long. Needed to take care of Final Exams, on top of like several other things.
To be honest, I had come up with a few ways of Kise going out when I first started writing the season, with most of them seeing his demise come in ways similar to this. Either his Achilles heel of being injury prone coming in, a villain screwing him over and injuring him and capitalizing off it to finish him, or him overexerting himself. Him losing in this specific way wasn't pre-planned though. This was something that I came up with while writing the chapter as of last week.
Also, I had the idea of another song to use here instead of this. While I ultimately did not use it here, I still may for the MK chapter. You'll see what it is soon enough(If I choose to use it).
As for who each of the characters are, they are the following:
Sophie as Stella(Winx Club)(Rebecca Soler voiced her)
Din as SixSix(Ben 10)(Just imagine someone like Din with SixSix's arsenal full time, good luck lol. Not the reason why I chose SixSix for him. Just a thought)
Blaze as Captain Marvel(Erica Lindbeck has voiced Carol in multiple Marvel media including Ultimate Alliance 3 along with Psylocke in the same game)(Additional fun fact I learned just from doing this: She voiced Jubilee in the OG X-Men Cartoon along with Futaba(Persona), Loona, Claire Redfield(Resident Evil) and Black Cat(Spider-Man PS4))
Paul as Lucario(His Japanese VA, Kiyotaka Furushima shares the same voice as the Pokemon. Moves such as the hopkick and the grab and three he did on Kise are references to the Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament, a game that takes many of it's cues and additional Pokemon movesets from Tekken characters along with each playable Pokemon's usual attacks. Which makes sense as Namco also developed the game too. Lucario in particular takes cues from Lars, oddly enough another character that Aomine's Jap VA has voiced)
Also, apprarently this same actor was also a VA in multiple Sentai Ranger seasons(The Japanese Power Rangers), so uh, that's yet another Power Rangers connection here. I cannot imagine Paul ever volunteering to do any of the poses Rangers do lol.
Kise as an Earthling Time Patroller(Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2)(Kise's Japanese VA Ryohei Kimura is one of the Male voices you can use when making a character. I decided to go Earthling as that is probably the choice with the lowest base power compared to the other choices like Saiyans, Nameks, etc.Next up is a challenge suggested by G-Man 2.0 as the cast visits the Cul-de-sac! What shenanigans will be in store? You'll find out when the chapter releases!
Aomine as Omega Zero(Mega Man Zero/ZX)(Junichi Suwabe voices him in both games, which was quite a surprise to me. I didn't learn this until yesterday when someone said he voiced Lars in Tekken. Looked it up and there he was as Omega Zero and Lars' current VA from Tekken 6 to currently 8)
Zero as Bravenwolf(Tenkai Knights)(Yeah I shouldn't have to really explain this one)
Lucy as Squirrel Girl(Marvel) again(Unrelated but a side note after looking at her japanese VA: How am I just learning that she and Mamori share the same Jap VA)
