On October 1st, Card Counter sees a bus going out of control and leaps to stop it; she uses her telekinesis and stops it. People cheered and lifted her up. She smiled a bit and signed autographs.
However, the moment she went home, she lost it.
"What do I do? What if he doesn't like it?!" Lisa asked, shaking Lola. She was obviously stressed.
Beau's 19th birthday was in two days, and she was worrying that he would hate her gift.
"Lisa…" Lola starts.
"I mean I've never done woodshop before…" Lisa says.
"Lisa." Lola says. "Listen, Beau will love anything you give him. Trust me. I don't think he's ever received a gift from you and ever hated it."
Lisa sniffed. "But all my past gifts were inventions. This is different." she said as her breathing increased.
"He loved them all the same. He won't hate this gift. You have to trust me on this, okay?" Lola says to Lisa.
Lisa nods, hugging Lola.
Meanwhile, Tina was working on a gift for Beau as Jessica was playing with toys. Jancey was on the phone with Beau, talking about how he was doing in Houston.
"Oh, honey, I'm so happy you're doing so well there!" Jancey says into the phone, a smile on her face. "What are your birthday plans? It is in two days, you know."
"I know, Mom. As for my plans, I'm not 100% sure of what they are yet. It's going to depend on my class schedule and all that." Beau says. "But enough about me. How is everyone else doing?"
"Just fine. Jessica's development is at a...steady pace. Tina is doing great, and Beatrix is doing her best to take your place here at home. She's not you, but she's been such a great help." Jancey said with a smile.
Beau chuckled. "Well, I'm glad things are going well. I'll let you know about my birthday plans either later today or sometime tomorrow. Like I said, I need to check my class schedule and all that before I can make those plans, you know?" He said.
"Of course, sweetie. I understand how busy college can get." Jancey said.
Lucy smirked. "Halloween is my favorite season." she says.
"Well, at least she's not obsessed with Luke." Lana says. Luke had already told the family he'd be spending Halloween in New York this year.
"What did you and Lisa make?" Lola asked Lana.
Lana revealed a wooden statue of Beau.
"Nice. But he's busy." Lola notes.
With the boys, they were making their Halloween plans. Mugman had joined them in this as he was thrilled to not have to spend Halloween with his brother for once.
"I am so excited!" Barry says, mapping out all the best houses that have all the good candy and all the worst ones that give out nothing but fruit, raisins, and toothbrushes.
"I'm preparing my costume as we speak." Oliver Queen says. "It's going to top last year's Phantom Shakespeare costume by a long shot!"
"Same here!" Shane says, working on his Blue Beetle costume.
Luke works on his zombified Eli Manning costume, smiling all the while.
Meanwhile, Lucy works on her costume. It was a bat costume. She smiled.
"This looks perfect." Lucy says.
Later, Jessica accidentally made a mess "Jessica, no!" Tina says and tries to clean up as Jessica looks at Tina blankly.
Tina sighed, cleaning up. "Do it again and you won't see Beau." Tina says as Jessica waddles away to her room. Tina sighed.
That night, she checks on Beau by calling him. He answered on the first ring.
"I was just about to call you guys. What's going on?" Beau says.
"So are you free on the 3rd?" Tina asked.
"Not during the morning and early afternoon. I have classes for that part of the day. I'll be free in the late afternoon, but then I have plans with my college friends that night to go to dinner with them at this nice steakhouse near the college." Beau said. "So that means I'll only be free in the late afternoon hours on my birthday."
"Oh, okay." Tina says as Jessica bumped into Tina.
Meanwhile…
"Hey, congrats on your victory!" Bella says.
"Yeah, you were great!" Atticus says as Bianca nods.
Ipkiss smirked. "You totally rocked!"
Hal smiled.
"Anyway, I got a track and field race, gotta go now." Atticus says and leaves.
On the 2nd, Atticus finished his race and realized his pals didn't come. He sighed.
Lisa got ready.
"Tomorrow, I'll do it." Lisa says.
The next day Beau woke up to birthday texts from his mom and Beatrix. He smiled at the texts and soon got ready to start his day.
Today, he was turning 19. He honestly didn't feel any different.
Meanwhile, Tina protects the cake from Jessica.
"No cake yet, got it?" Tina says
"Cake!" Jessica says, reaching for it.
"No… I gotta go to school." Tina says. "And you have preschool."
"Cake!" Jessica says and pees herself.
"UGH!" Tina says having to clean up after Jessica.
"Sweetheart, let me. You go on and get dressed for school." Jancey says.
Tina sighed and went to get ready.
"What's wrong with her?" Tina asked, really annoyed. Jessica was like 5, and still acted like a baby.
"Sweetie, you have to realize she's not like other kids her age. She's developmentally delayed. You have to learn patience and understanding. She's got autism, much like you do." Jancey says, cleaning up the mess.
"Cake…" Jessica babbled as Beatrix gets her dressed.
Meanwhile, Beau was in his classes as a lot of the teachers wished him a happy birthday. He smiled and thanked them.
During lunch, he sat with his friends and they wished him a happy birthday, even going as far as to get him birthday cupcakes. He smiled at this and thanked his friends.
Later, Lisa finds him.
"Lis! What brings you here, beautiful?" Beau asked.
Lisa blushed nervously. "I…I made this for you." She says as she pulled open a curtain, revealing a wooden sculpture of Beau and Lisa.
"Lis, this is a wonderful gift. I absolutely love it!" Beau says. "I've never gotten a gift this nice before." He then kissed her.
Lisa blushed and kissed him back.
"Honestly, I'm sure that friendship won't last long…" Beth says.
"Beth…" Bella says sternly.
"Those boys ditched Hal and Atticus for photoshoots!" Beth says.
Later, Beau sees his family with the cake they made for him.
"Amazing!" Beau says as Tina lit the candles as everyone began to sing to him. He smiled and thought of a wish and wishes for all A's. He blew out the candles as everyone cheered.
"Honestly, I'm going to enter the All Star Talent Showcase." Tina says.
"Nice!" Beau says.
Meanwhile the boys did a commercial to promote a restaurant.
Fans loved it. Atticus frowned. Seeing them do the commercial without him hurt a bit
