Chapter :- 6 First Gym Battle
It's been 3 hours Ash, Misty and Mito had left the samurai and started to make their way towards Pewter City. As they are travelling Mito spotted a spot that is good for training as she want to train Evee so he can participate in the Gym battle in Pewter as she thought of using Deino and Evee as they have type advantage but she want to teach Evee Iron tail which will help her in defeating rock type gym With that thought in mind Mito stopped walking.
Seeing Mito had stopped walking both Ash and Misty also stopped and Ash asked Mito " Is something wrong Mito?" to which Mito said " No Ash everything is alright". Hearing Mito's reply Ash said " Then why you suddenly stopped walking?" to which Mito said " Ash can we stop here for some time so I can train Evee as I planned to use him in my first gym battle and you also can train your Pokemon or try to find an water type which had rare chane in finding in the forest" to which Ash was surprised for some moment but accepted when he heard Misty said " Ash Mito is right you have to train your Pokemon for Gym battle"
Hearing both Mito and Misty Ash said " Ok then let's camp here" to which both girl nodded their head and they camped there. After seeing up the camp Mito brought her pokeball out that contain Evee and called him out. As Evee came out of his pokeball he jump into Mito's arm who giggled and pat the normal type's head and asked " Evee soon we have to face against Pewter gym I want you to fight in the first gym battle so for that I want to teach you a new move so are you ready?" to which Evee nod his head and wag his tail determined to make his trainer proud of him.
Hearing Mito's word Misty ask her " Hey Mito what move you are going to teach Evee?" to which Mito said " I am going teach him the Steel Type move Iron Tail which is quite effective against Rock Type Pokemon" to which Misty and Ash who also listening the conversation was surprised at that as they didn't know about this particular move. Mito then turn towards Ash and said " Ash you should also teach Pikachu Iron Tail as well" to which Ash asked " Pikachu can learn that move?" to which Mito nodded.
Seeing Mito's response both Ash and Pikachu became over joyed Pikachu because he can learn a strong move and Ash because his pokemon can become stronger but then he realise that he have no idea how to train Pikachu Iron Tail so he voiced his concern to Mito and said " Wait but I didn't know how to train him in that move so can you teach it to Pikachu Mito as you are going to Teach it to Evee" to which Mito realise Ash is right and said " Ok I will tach him Iron Tail but which other Pokemon you are going to use?" to which Ash said " I am thinking about using Pidgeotto other than Pikachu" to which Mito sighed " Well she can't blame Ash as he didn't have any water type Pokemon or other that is effective against Rock Type". So She said " Ash I am going to train Evee, Pikachu and Pidgeotto together in Steel type attack ok ?" to which a confused Ash asked " How are you going to teach Pidgeotto Iron Tail as she didn't tail like Evee and Pikachu?" casuing both Mito and Misty as well as Pikachu and Evee to face fault at Ash's stupidity.
Soon all of them recover and Mito shouts " YOU IDIOT OFCOURSE I CAN'T TEACH PIDGEOTTO IRON TAIL I AM GOING TO TEACH HER STEEL WING. DID YOU EVEN READ ABOUT POKEMON MOVES BEFORE?" to which Ash flinched and look down somewhat ashamed as he didn't had that much patience to learn when either Naruto or Prof. Oak teach them something as theoretical knowledge bore him to no end so he didn't bother to read about pokemon moves list that was taught to both Mito and him by Mito's elder brother Naruto so now he can say only one thing that is sorry and he did just that to which Mito sighed and said " It's ok but try to read about them or if you didn't like reading try to see the video about them and learn from it. It will be needed in the future to which Ash nod his head.
After that Mito started to train all three of the Pokemon at the same time and the pokemon's are doing great at it and it took them 3 days to learn the steel type move that Mito is trying to teach them but all of them are quite happy and Ash has thanked Mito profusely to teach his pokemon New Move to which Mito said " It's alright" and after that Mito goes to deeper part of forest to train Evee some more.
Now after 4 day they again started their journey towards Pewter and as they are walking through the forest Mist asked Mito " Hey Mito are you ready for your first gym battle?" to which Mito said " Yeah Misty I and My Pokemon's both are ready to face our first gym battle but after reaching pewter I have to visit the Pokemon Centre for their check up and register for Indigo league as you know if I didn't register it first then I can't participate in gym battle" to which Misty nod her head and they continue their walk.
They reach the Pewter by afternoon as they entered the city and moving towards Pokemon Centre they heard someone is calling them as they turn aroung they see a bearded man with red cap who has a stall of Rocks calling them. As they approach them the Man asked " would you like to buy some ?" to which both Misty and Ash denied but Mito started to look through the rocks because if her luck is on her side then she can find a dragon type fossil like Tyrunt she knew the possibility is slim but she still tried.
As Mito is looking through the Stones Ash and Misty is looking at her in bewilderment asthey couldn't understand a girl like Mito who is quite intelligent is looking through stones so she can buy one so Misty decided to ask her " Mito what are you doing they are just stones nothing important?" which offended the Man but Mito didn't mind the question and after 15 minute she suddenly feel drawn towards 2 pieces. Being near the Dragon types for years she came to understand their aura and she is feeling similar Aura from these 2 stones so she decided to buy them and turned towards the man and asked " Umm How much for these 2 stones?" to which the Man look towards the stones and said " Well they are quite the rare ones so the two together will be 10000 poke dollar" to which Mito said " I see but if you gave me in 7000 poke dollar then I am going to take it" to which the Man said " No I can't lower the price" to which Mito sighed and said " I see. Well then let's go guys" and she exited the shop and started towards Pokemon Centre but stopped when she heard the Man call out as she turned around the Man said " 'sigh' Ok you have a deal I didn't have any customer and you are the first so I am ready to give it to you at 7000".
Hearing this Mito's face light up and She said " Thank you" and payed for the 2 fossil she had chosen. As they started to go towards Pokemon Centre Ash asked " Mito why did you brought useless stones at 7000 poke dollar you are not the type to make such mistake?" to which Mito said " Ash they are not ordinary stones but fossil's meaning after successful revival I can get an extinct Pokemon and with the feeling I can say it's a Dragon Type for sure".
Hearing Mito's reply they were surprised and excited at the same time. Soon they reach the pokemon centre after reaching the pokemon centre Mito go towards the front desk and said " Hello Nurse joy could you give my Pokemon a check up and also register me for Indigo league and also give a room for me and my friend" to which Nurse Joy smiled and said " Yes I can. Now please give me your Pokedex for registration" to which Mito give her pokedex to Nurse Joy who attached it to the computer and after some time give it back to her and said " Now you are registered for Indigo league and your room is 216 on the 2nd floor right side 5th door" to which Mito nodded and as she step aside Ash also registered himself for Indigo league and book a room which is 212 in 2nd floor left side 2nd door.
As Mito and Ash finish their registration Mito decide to call her brother and go towards video phone and dial his number and it started to ring and after some time Naruto pick up and his face is shown to the screen.
Seeing Mito Naruto smiled and said "Hello hime how are you?" to which Mito smiled and said " I am alright oni chan what are you doing?" to which Naruto sighed and said " Paper work" to which Mito giggled casuing Naruto to smile as well and he asked " Well hime did you caught any new pokemon and from where are you calling me? Are you in Pewter?" to which Mito smiled and nodded her head and said " Hai oni chan I am at Pewter and I caught an Evee in Viridian forest" to which Naruto said " Really that's great. Did you already have your gym match?" to which Mito shake her head and said "No I will challenge the gym tomorrow" to which Naruto nod his head and look at Mito who is fidgeting a bit.
Seeing this Naruto ask " Is everything alright Hime?" to which Mito look down and said " Umm Oni chan please don't be mad but I have brought 2 fossil that are quite big at 7000 poke dollar" to which Naruto said " Hime please look at me" to which Mito look up and saw her elder brother is smiling and said " you don't have to worry if you had brought them then you must have sense something and I trust your judgement" hearing this Mito's eye tear up and she said " Thank you" to which Naruto smiled and said " I am sending my Charizard and Dragonite to pick it up so I can restore it for you and send it to you" to which Mito smiled and said " Thank you Oni chan I will be waiting for them. Love you bye" to which Naruto smiled and said " Love you too bye" and the call was ended.
Later at the evening Mito is sitting at the lobby looking out side when she saw her brothers Charizard and Dragonite seeing them She go out side and as they landed she hug them and both pokemon hug her back this is the scene Ash and Misty saw when they found Mito seeing Mito hug these Pokemon Misty asked " Mito are they your Pokemon?" to which Mito broke the hug to the dragonite and said " No Misty they are my oni chan's and come here to pick up the fossils that I brought earlier" to which both Ash and Misty nodded and help Mito carry the fossils and soon Dragonite and Charizard collect the fossils and fly off towards the Indigo league tower.
After that they talk with each other and when night came they eat their dinner and go to the bed as next day is their first gym battle. Morning came soon and they woke up and took a shower and after that they eat their breakfast and go to the gym.
After reaching the gym they knock the door but when they didn't get any answer they tries to open the door but to their surprise it opened and they go inside but see it was dark so Mito said loudly " Hello any one here I came to challenge this gym" as Mito said this the light of the gym turn on and they see in opposite of rocky field a boy older than them standing and he said " Welcome I am Brock gym leader of Pewter Gym so who among you are challenging" to which Ash and Mito step forward.
Seeing this Brock said " I see who among you will battle first" to which Mito said " I will" to which Brock nod his head and both Mito and Brock take their position" and Brock's brother Forest take his position and said " this is a gym battle between Mito Ryuki of Pallet town and Brock the gym leader of Pewter gym. It is 2 on 2 battle with only challenger can change pokemon now both please brought out your Pokemon" to which Mito brought out her Evee and Brock brought out his Geodude. As the Match started Mito commanded " Evee use Shadow Ball" to which Evee fire Shodow ball seeing this Brock commanded " Geodude dodge and use Roll out" to which Geodude dodge the attack and started rolling towards Evee. Seeing this Mito waited till Geodude got closer to Evee and then she commanded " Evee use Iron Tail on Geodude" to which Evee's tail glowed with Steel type Energy and He rammed his tail on Geodude who sent flying but Mito took this opportunities and called out "Evee Formation 1E" which confuses everyone but they came out of their stupor when they see Evee use Swift seeing this Brock called out " Geodude use defence curl" to which Geodude use the defensive type move to decrese damage but it was in vain as Evee use Quick attack to reach Geodude and as he reach Greodude he used Iron Tail again sending Geodude crushing to the ground and as Geodude crushed to the ground Evee combine Shadow ball with Swift and sent it towards Geodude seeing this Brock shouts " Geodude dodge" but the Rock type was unable to dodge the attack and it hit him earning a pain cry and casued dust and debris to up which settle down after sometime revealing Geodude who is knocked out.
Brock is now looking at his Pokemon in shock he really didn't expect to see such combination. Brock then recall his Pokemon and said " Good job Geodude" then turn towards Mito and said " That's quite impressive combination" to which Mito said " Thank you but let's finish this" to which Brock nodded and send out his starter Pokemon " Onix" in response to that Mito returned Evee and send her Starter Deino as Mito send Deino Brock go on High alert as he didn't recognise Pokemon.
As the Match started Brock commaned " Onix use Rock Slide" to which Onix use hurl Rocks towards Deino Mito commanded "Deino use Dragon Breath" to which a green flame clashed with the rock cancelling each other after that Brock commanded " Onix use Bind on Deino and finish him" to which Onix rush towards Deino so he can coil around the Dragon and Dark type but failed as Mito commanded " Deino dodge it and use combination 18B". Hearing this Brock panicked as he didn't know what attack is coming so he commanded " Onix stay aleart and prepare to dodge" and as Brock expected Deino used Zen Hedbutt which Onix dodge but situation soon turn ugly as Deino use Rain Dance and soon it starts raining which caused significant damage to Rock but then Onix hit with a thunder wave from Deino causing it to cry in Pain. Seeing this Brock shouts " Onix" in concern but Mito commanded " Deino use Dragon Pulse and finish it" and soon Onix hit with purple flame attack shape on a Dragon and Knocked out.
Seeing this Brock sighed and recall Onix and go towards Mito and offer his hand for handshake which Mito happily oblized and Brock said " That is truly an amazing Battle and your combination attack are strong as well as unpredictable" to which Mito said " Thank you". After that Brock said " To prove of your victory in Pewter Gym I present you Boulder Badge" and gave Mito the Gym Badge who took the Badge and smiled Brightly and said " Thank you brock and both you and your Pokemon are strong as well" to which Brock said "Thank You"
After that it was Ash's turn to battle Brock and as they both stand opposite to each other and soon the Battle begun with Ash using his Pikachu and Brock using Geodude and Brock commanded " Geodude use roll out" as Geodude rolling towards Pikachu Ash commanded Pikachu " Pikachu use Iron tail" hearing this Brock Commanded " Geodude stop and use Defence Curl" to which Geodude stop rolling and curled up and soon the Iron Tail impact but the damage is lessen significantly. Brock then commanded " Geodude use Rock Throw" to which Geo dude started to throw rock at Pikachu who started to dodge. Seeing this Ash said "Pikachu get close with Quick Attack and then use Iron tail" to which Pikachu started to running towards Geodude seeing this Brock said " Geodude use dig" to which Geodude dug under ground casuing Pikachu to stop and started to look around when the ground behind Pikachu started to shake slightly. Seeing this Ash commanded "Pikachu Turn around and use Iron Tail" Hearing this Brock shouts " Dodge Geodude" but it was too late as the Steel type move connect with Geodude send him crashing down and knocking him out.
Seeing this Brock sighed and recall Geodude and Ash also recall Pikachu and Send Pidgeotto and Brock send his Onix as the Battle begun Ash commanded " Pidgeotto use Steel Wing" to which Pidgeotto's wing Glowed with Steel Type energy as she fly towards Onix but Brock commanded " Onix use dig" and Onix go under ground casuing the steel wing to miss but soon Onix came out and Brock Commanded " Onix use Smack Down" as Onix throw a stone projectile Ash shout's " Pidgeotto dodge" which the flying type tried but she was slow casuing her to get hit and crash to the ground brock then commanded " Now use Bind on Pidgeotto Onix" and soon Onix coiled himself at Pidgeotto who struggle a little and then fainted to which Forest declare Brock is winner of this Round.
Ash recall Pidgeotto and send Pikachu again. As the match restart Brock ordered " Onix use Rock Slide" to which Onix throw rock at Pikachu. Ash in return said " Pikachu Dodge using Quick attack and go close to use Iron Tail" to which Pikachu use quick attack to dodge the rock and started to running towards Onix who make no move to dodge as he got close Brock commanded " Onix use Bind" to which Onix coiled himself around Pikachu and started to crushing him. Seeing this Ash said " Pikachu use Thunder" to which Pikachu use the Electric type attack which is ineffective against Onix but it hit the sprinklers casuing the water to rain down casuing heavy damage on Onix. Seeing the chance to finish off Onix Ash is going to order Pikachu to use Thunder shock but stopped when he saw Brock's sibling's is stooping him and begging him not to harm Onix to which Brock scolded his siblings but Ash gave up and started to go outside but when Brock stopped him and asked " What are you doing?" to which Ash said " I am not going to harm your Pokemon and the starting of sprinkeler is an accident and I am going to beat you fair and square" and go outside. On the viewing area Mito shake her head and said "what an Idiot" then smiled proud of her best friend and soon she and Misty left the Gym as well.
As Ash and Pikachu is going towards Pokemon Centre they heard some one is calling them as they turn around they see it was Brock who is running towards them. As Brock Reach Ash He said "you forgot this" and showed him the Boulder Badge. Seeing the Badge Ash said " Why are you giving me this I didn't beat you" to which Brock said " No Ash you have beaten me so go on take it and make your dream true while you can" to which Ash asked Brock " What is your dream? And Why did you not try to make it true?" to which Brock said " My dream is to became top breeder but I can't go I have to take care of my sibling" to which Ash nodded.
As they are talking they hear someone say " You can go on your journey to fulfil your dream" to which Ash and Brock turn around and see the man that Ash met at the time entering pallet is there in front of them. Seeing him Ash said " Hey you are the stone selling Guy what are you doing here?" to which the Man chuckled and remove his disguise and Much to Ash's surprise he is looking like Brock as He turned towards Brock to Ask if he know this man Brock said " Father what are you doing here?" with some Venom to which the Man said " Hello Ash It's nice to meet you again and you as well Brock and to answer to your question Brock as you know I left home to fulfil my dream but failed so I was embarrassed to come in front of you so I didn't return home but it is the time I take my responsibility so don't worry I will handel things here you go try to fulfil your dream" to which Brock sighed and said " Ok then" and then started to tell Flint what he need to know in very fast pace much to his dismay.
Later as Ash, Misty and Mito is about to leave the Pewter Brock came to them and asked " Can I join you guys" to which Mito smiled and said " Sure the more the marrier" to which Other Two nod his head and the four of them started to leave the Pewter City when Ash asked " Hey Mito did ni chan told you what fossil is that ?" to which Mito smiled and said "yea oni Chan send me back the Pokemon it was Dracozolt an Elactric and Dragon Type of Galar region it seems" to which Ash said " I see then what about the other one" to which Mito said " Turn out that both fossil were part of Same Pokemon just divided into two part" to which Ash nodded his head and they exit the Pewter and started towards their next destination.
