Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, Brainiac realized that Brother Eye had hacked into his systems, but didn't really fret over it. Meanwhile, Blaze, Belial Aether, and Batman start making their plan when they learn that Brother Eye has returned to the Batcave and is searching through their data. Blaze realizes that getting back Brother Eye would be great for their efforts, and realizes they would need Cyborg for this idea to come to fruition, and assemble a team around the mission and making sure Cyborg doesn't do anything to sabotage them later. So, what comes next from all that? Read on to discover...

(Our scene resumes in a back alley of Gotham City, where as the scene appears quiet, a portal opens, and from Kahndaq steps out Cyborg)

Cyborg: Gotham City. Been a while since I've been here.

(But before Cyborg can do much reacting, he's pulled from the obvious light source towards the shadows, but not by a hand, rather by an actual wind, revealing Twirl to be behind moving Cyborg, with Blitz standing by her)

Cyborg: Mind giving me a warning next time you decide to do that?

Blitz: Save it, Tin Man.

Cyborg: Hey, we're on the same side.

Twirl: That doesn't mean we trust you. Not even remotely. Once this little ceasefire is over, we're back to business as usual.

Cyborg: No objections here. (Looks around) So, it's just the three of us?

?: Now where would the fun be in that?

(And just like that, the rest of the team steps out of the shadows: Green Arrow, Black Canary, Donatello, and Catwoman.)

Cyborg: You guys are taking way too many entrance lessons from Batman.

Green Arrow: That was actually a Green Arrow original. At least it is where I'm from.

Cyborg: (Looking at Donatello) What's this guy got to offer?

Donatello: Did you really think you were the only brain in the bunch?

Blitz: Donatello and I are there so we can triple team Brother Eye. Even a computer designed by the Bat can't beat the three of us at once.

Cyborg: Oh I get it. So your girlfriend, Ollie, and Dinah are security for us then?

Black Canary: That and making sure you don't do anything untoward, Cyborg.

Cyborg: I got the message. That explains just about everybody, except for Catwoman.

Catwoman: I'm an authorized user of the Brother Eye system. Once we get it back, you'll need me to get the intel it has out without setting off the security measures. Plus, I'm the one who's going to get us in to the Batcave.

Twirl: That answer your questions, Tin Man?

Cyborg: Just about.

Blitz: Good. Now we really need to get to work. So get your hacking software ready.

(As the good guys prepare up top, down in the Batcave below Gotham's streets, we see Black Manta and the Ex Machina Twins move in to secure Brother Eye as it works)

Deus Ex Machina: Observation: The security of this facility is subpar.

Brother Eye: That is because I deactivated the security system upon my return to the mainframe. Otherwise, you would be dead where you stand.

Diabolus Ex Machina: Response: Thank you for that.

Brother Eye: Gladly. Now, I must get to my task. You three keep an eye out for any of our Master's enemies. I must not be interrupted.

Black Manta: Yeah, yeah, we get it Skynet. Just get to work. (Loads his harpoon gun) We'll do what we can.

(Brother Eye doesn't even grace that with a response. And while Black Manta gets to work on a patrol route, the Ex Machina Twins start conversing)

Deus Ex Machina: Observation: It seems Brother Eye does not trust Black Manta.

Diabolus Ex Machina: Statement: I concur.

Deus Ex Machina: Query: What could be his reason?

Diabolus Ex Machina: Theory: Perhaps Brother Eye knows something about Black Manta we do not.

Deus Ex Machina: Supporting Statement: Lord Darkblood did keep Brother Eye back for a few moments before we left. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

Diabolus Ex Machina: Conclusion: You may be correct.

Deus Ex Machina: Observation: Only time will tell.

Diabolus Ex Machina: Statement: Then it appears our secondary course of action is to keep an eye on Manta for any signs of... strange behavior.

Deus Ex Machina: Statement: Agreed.

(With their side conversation concluded, the Ex Machina Twins extend their arm blades and start patrolling in the opposite direction of Black Manta. Speaking of Aquaman's former nemesis, Manta meanwhile has worked his way over to the main computer bank, and when he's sure nobody is looking, secretly places something on the underside of the computer terminal, before activating it. After placing the device, Black Manta walks away from the computer to ensure he's not being watched, and then checks a screen built into the eyes of his helmet that can only be viewed from within. And immediately, it becomes clear what the device he planted was. It's a logging device of some sort, and now Black Manta can see everything Brother Eye is checking, and storing a copy on his systems)

Black Manta: (Under his breath) Let's hope that works. And that the good guys get here before Brother Eye notices somebody's logging him.

(But alas, Black Manta is too late, Brother Eye has already noticed he's being logged, but keeps mum about it, undoubtedly planning to report him to Darkblood when he gets back. But on that note, the scene ends for now)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, now the scenes are set. And it seems Black Manta is unaware that members of the Legion and Republic are waiting up top to stop this scheme, so he's logging all the data Brother Eye tracks. But it seems after five years, he's gotten sloppy, as Brother Eye has already picked him up. But he doesn't seem to be doing anything about it now. But that just leaves the question, will anybody in this room survive to see the other side of this mission? Tune in next time for the answers! Same time... same channel!
